weird storytime and an abed analysis (abednalysis ?)

in s1e17, physical education, abed says that he didnt mind changing for other people because hes comfortable with who he is . a season later, in s2e19, critical film studies, he says instead that he doesnt like change . and now i realize what he really meant when he said that he didnt mind changing .

when i was younger, around 11-12, i would pretend to be other people online . more than five different separate identities in one discord server . because i wanted people to like me more . i made these alt accounts and assigned each one a personality, a different typing style, a reason for joining, a region, and a timezone . and for the most part, they were people who were nicer and just generally likeable . because im not someone who is any of those things . i am not a nice person . i dont even think im a good person . and god i am not likeable . at all .

so i played these characters . most of them only being active for short periods . i would have full back and forth conversations with these alt accounts to sell it . i had these weird insane elaborate plans . a 16 year old former drug user, lives in manitoba, somewhat parental . 13, california, liked minecraft and drawing -- completely different artstyle (and different software) too . etc .

i would let these accounts bake (make them and then not use them) so that it didnt seem suspicious with a brand new account joining the server . then i would spend a week making the account and forming a character to go with it, sometimes asking people to help me out . it was so fucking crazy . i was insane . might still be .

i was such a better person on those different accounts . because i didnt know how to change on the inside, i just started over and over again . different account, new me . like i was experimenting with who i really wanted to be like . formulating the perfect person to act like when i finally decided that i wanted to become a better person .

i gave up eventually obviously . im not a tween anymore . i was a really weird tween . obviously . but i think about it a lot .

honestly i only went back to being myself because it was comfortable . i felt better being a fucking douche . and i still am a douche . im not a good person . i dont think ill ever be a "good person" . what the hell is a good person, anyways . all i know is that im fine with myself like this . even as much as i not-so-secretly hate myself, and deny it out of fear of seeming like an "edgy attention seeking loser" .

I really don't think any of my opinions are problematic? Idk, I guess I'll let the people be the judge of that. I want to preface that these are how I feel personally and I would never try to enforce my opinions on others. Ship who you want to ship, love who you want to love. If you disagree with any of my opinions then that's fine but please don't try and convince me to "see your reasoning", these are opinions I'm pretty set on.

I don't particularly multiship, not because I have no sense of fun but because I genuinely can't understand how people ship Barty with Sirius or Narcissa with Lily or Evan with James etc. It makes so sense and no amount of reasoning will ever convince me that anybody other than Evan can stand Barty to a degree that they want to fuck him. He's so annoying and I mean that with all the love in the world as an Evan kin. I think Sirius needs Remus to mellow him out. Lily and Narcissa is just a no from me. Period.

I think sometimes the fandom forgets that relationships can be platonic. Friends exist, not every character needs to fuck all of their best friends because they understand each other so deeply. Yes, they have great chemistry...as friends. Platonically. Do you want to fuck your best friend? .......actually you're on tumblr and a marauders fan so who knows

People are so desperate in this fandom for others to talk about the girls more but then when people do post about them there is like no interaction. From experience, the boys get more hits, more kudos, more notes etc. I write about Rosekiller expecting not much attention, I'm not in it to get popular otherwise I would stick to Jegulus and Wolfstar rather than my precious murder husbands. But whenever I post about the girls the comments are dryyyyy and it's not fun. I love getting comments and replies so I can interact with others and talk about headcanons. It feels like as soon as I post about the girls people forget that they were encouraging more of that content in the first place.

Fanon and canon are blurring and not in a fun way. There are certain headcanons that people take from fanon or even from specific popular fics and start stretching canon to fit the fanon and then get angry when people don't stick to it. Saying a character is canonically a certain way because of implications in the canon can be really harmful.

I don't particularly care for OCs in fics. I read these stories for the characters I like and if an OC has like a massive chunk of a chapter on their own or even whole chapters or whole fics I will likely skip or even DNF because that's just not what I'm here for. Like I don't care.

If a character isn't attractive in this fandom, people don't care. Just because someone doesn't have rippling abs and perfect skin, it doesn't mean you can write them off as being bad. People can be hot and fat, ugly and fat, ugly and skinny, ugly and a good or interesting person!!! As a plus size person, I have spent my whole life looking at media portrayals saying that I am not worth attention until I am skinny, only then can I be attractive, and this fandom can be just as guilty sometimes (I'm looking at you people who make Snape hot to justify liking him, and making Peter have no personality besides being fat).

People are way to eager to interact with content they don't like to tell them they don't like it. Look up what an algorithm is, hun, I'm begging you. (this isn't controversial unless you are one of those people who does that)

I do curate my experience there are just some things 100% unavoidable in some fandoms. Blocking tags isn't going to be a cure all fix all for everything. Some things are just so deeply ingrained into fandoms that you just can't avoid them without leaving the fandom space entirely which 90% of kinnies don't want to do.

Just because you're also mentally ill and have been able to separate yourself from fandom doesn't mean everyone can do that. Some of us are unable to entirely and that isn't something people can just fix magically. Especially those of us without access to proper medication.

I'm once again stating, yes, you ARE being ableist. Like it or not, just because you- anon can make that separation easily doesn't mean everyone else can! And I'm so sorry to tell you this, but they don't have to? People are allowed to be upset and hurt by what people do in fandom spaces, especially regarding shipping. The characters might be fictional to everyone else, but again that's still who they were at one point. And for people who have DID/OSDD, psychotic disorders, etc, it can be very upsetting seeing that content and that's okay? I'm not saying sure go harass people over it, but people are 100% allowed to be upset and vent about it especially here or on their own blogs. Once again, not everyone has that ability to separate these things.

Those of us with DID/OSDD can be even further affected because some of us literally ARE the characters people talk about. It can be very hard to differentiate especially adding in dissociation and other traumas on top of it all.

I myself am an introject and I get severely uncomfortable when people say things about me that are untrue. It's very easy for traumatized people (especially those who have been bullied) to internalize things people say about them. And once again, especially VILLAIN KINS. I 100% curate my experience. I block users, tags, and make sure I don't follow anyone who posts content that makes me uncomfortable and sometimes it still slips through anyway! And guess what! It's still extremely upsetting!

You can't just claim "well people should curate better!" as a defense for people having ships that kinnies of those characters find uncomfortable. They're allowed to be uncomfortable. How would you feel if someone shipped a picture of you with a picture of someone else then told you that you just need to curate your experience better? You'd feel pretty shitty. That's what you're telling people anon.

Yes we are all fictional characters. But we are also kinnies and still experience emotion tied to that. Stop being ableist towards people like me who can't control the way they feel about fandoms treatment of them. There are many different types of alters and each have their role in the system

Each system is different

Prosecutors only do what they know how to do (they aren't inherently evil, to my understanding)

systems can have up to 100 alters, according to current research

All alters are valid! All hosts are valid! Everyone in your system is valid!!

Alters and such are their own person/being (they can have different pronouns, names, personalities, likes/dislikes, ages, values, views, morals, etc.)

Introjects are basically like real or fictional characters/people who are integrated into the system as an alter (I think?)

Figments exist and are different from alters (they're not fully-formed alters, I think?? Still doing research on that one)

There are fictive introjects (the ones who are based on the fictional) & there are factive introjects (the ones who are based on the real/irl)

Factive introjects can be family or friends that provide comfort of sorts (or even can be a prosecutor and be based on your ab*ser or something to like that)

Fictive introjects can start as the original fictional character but then can become their own person outside of that (if that makes sense?) (Same goes for factives, I think)

Introjects are as valid as everyone else! Factives aren't "copycats" of real people (to my understanding). Same for fictives but in regards to fictional people/characters. They're their own people/person!!

Introjects are commonly put into the system because they serve an important role for that system

Fictive introjects aren't always characters the host kins or likes (mostly whoever the system needs for coping reasons)

Being a system is like having multiple souls in one body (to my understanding so far)

There are child alters, animal alters, introjects, protectors, prosecutors, caretakers, the memory-holder ones, etc.

People commonly name their system (which is very neat and cool)

Representation is very bad in mass media and most medias in general

They're not evil or killers because they're a system (like no duh, they're literally just people)

Repeat after me: prosecutors aren't evil or villainous people. They can learn and improve (to my understanding of what some systems have said)

Support for systems is much more common online, and even then it can be hard to find

I have literally never met a "bad" system, and I interact with systems most days of the week because of the different communities I'm a part of. They're literally just people.

It's always helpful to ask who's fronting

Take note of things about the different people in the system to help you remember who has what pronouns or likes certain things, or who is called what (names), etc.

Make note of boundaries. Different alters/hosts/systems have different boundaries. Respect them.

It's a coping mechanism (right?) which usually forms after complex trauma that usually happened/happens in childhood (I think??)

It usually develops between the ages of 9 to 10 cause that's when the personality develops (most systems don't know they're systems for a while, though) [had to correct this, sorry about that]

Hosts can change. An alter can become a host if need be.

some systems can be homicidal, whether it's instrusive thoughts or not. (I read some of the tags/reblogs on the original post and learned more things!)

It's Dissociative for a reason - not everyone will be put together all the time

Not all systems have every alter be "fully-formed"; there are whisps of consciousness and stuff like that

Identity can get muddled

Gender and sexuality won't always be definite/constant and may change sometimes (I think that's what the reblog said?)

Hatter was once again very jolted to learn these sorts of things. He...guessed they made sense? In a way, but they also did not. Why on Earth would anyone put themselves in a marriage simply to have another parent on board? One Piece Chapter 1023 - Initial Thoughts

15 Minutes is on the clock

Onigashima reaches the mainland and the fights continue on. Including the Wings of the King vs the Disasters of the Beast

Without further ado, let's get into it

Spoilers for Chapter 1023, Support the Official Release too

Vivi cover page is nice, proper Disney Princess action with Karoo being jealous birb again, but now I have worries because last we heard something went down with Alabasta...all those post-Reverie questions

Back to where we left off with the boys being back in town

Miyagi can you not ominously foreshadow Zoro's future pain please?

Kawamatsu's here to save Zoro from interference, and Hyou's telling the Yakuza not to get in the way of this fight

Marco though is a pensive Pineapple, taking a good long look at King as he recalls Whitebeard telling him about King's race living on the Red Line before the world nobles, Void Century and before stuff

Mention of Gods does fuel one of my old post fan theories, but also fuels that the WG kicked King's race out of the Red Line

Izo though out here saving Marco from being an easy target, tbh Marineford did show he was prone to a surprise attack

Asking Izo if they believe in God though in a raid that may lead to their deaths is kinda irreverent right now though huh?

Queen back to hyping themselves up though

Hm? Is there a limitation to Sanji's raid suit? Sanji's saying he feels weird

Zoro wasting no time to banter with it though, saving Sanji from King as Sanji returns the favour with Queen

Queen does make a valid point though, as much as Sanji expresses that he is unenhanced by Germa he can also set himself on fire, I do wonder if it is just part of that enhancement in there that he expresses as his 'fiery hot passion'

Lunarian though, that must be King's species' name: moon people again I bet which feeds my fan theories

Also since we mentioned Germa again what happened to them? Jimbei made it out after all and I wanna see me some alive and well Baeju

I would issue doubt on Queen's claim that their enhancements are beyond Vegapunk's, given how little we know of Vegapunk after all

King's got a special sword too, it can change its edge to be teethy which he used to ensnare Zoro's swords

Wado saves Zoro's face from eating King's spiked fist though

King does make a fair point though, traditional weapons are romanticized but a fight's about getting every advantage you can, Zoro at least respects that since King never claimed to be a Swordsman, while also reminding King that he could be a feral bastard too

Kinda gave me mini Mr. 1 fight vibes there

Oh here we go, potential Zoro lineage time

Kawamatsu and Hyou muse over how Zoro was like Ushimaru when he was young, even down to his style (though that could be more Shimotsuki Koushiro's doing since he's Zoro's master)

Also Ushimaru was Ryuma's direct descendant, which means that 1. Ryuma banged, 2. Swordsmanship runs in the blood and 3. Ryuma banged

Also Ryuma also had the one eye, and it does seem pretty mythical that a swordsman of similar skill and stature returns Shusui back to Wano (even though this should mean that Shusui would be Zoro's birthright and he was kinda forced into relinquishing it)

Also worth reminding that Kozaburo was Kuina's grandpa so there may only be loose relations if Zoro is a Shimotsuki too, we don't exactly know how Kozaburo and Ushimaru are related if it's by blood or clan, plus I still wonder about Tashigi

Over to Jack vs Inu though, and Jack's hybrid form is just...weird

I did not need to see an Elephant head with abs you know Oda!

Both are pretty tired, as Jack mocks Inu saying he has forgiven Zou for the Raizo stuff, since he already destroyed most of it

Inu though with the shoulder toss, reminding Jack that they had to make these sacrifices to get to here

But we're getting the epic speech, and the hole in the roof caused by Ashura's sacrifice is changing Inu back into Su Long

Same thing is happening with Neko, turning Su Long in front of Carrot and Wanda (who I guess are covering from the moon) as he stares down Perospero

And I'm glad Neko's pointing out that Pedro's sacrifice is valid. I truthfully always felt a bit iffy about people saying that Carrot's desire to avenge Pedro was ill-found because 'Pedro killed himself'. Had Pedro not sacrificed himself then Brook and Chopper would've been dead by candy and Big Mom would've obliterated the rest on the ship

Raizo and Megaforehead though prelude with the mention of maturity, that everyone - even the Akazaya - needed time to mature into who they wanted to be

Down to the surface though and the Heart Pirates are on high alert/panic, they think Kaido's here

But it's Momo, and he looks magnificent

Shinobu's aged him up to 28, the age he'd be had he not been leapt through time, but now she's upset he looks like Kaido

There's new fire in Momo's eyes though, the return ascent begins!

Can you feel that? It feels like the last stretch before the ultimate battle of Wano

Sanji and Zoro vs King and Queen hopefully will remain a tag bout, but I am curious as to King's abilities and what's affecting Sanji in terms of the raid suit. It's not bad to have a limitation but this is the first we've heard of it after seeing him use it 4 times. I don't hate Zoro being a Shimotsuki, though I do feel like we could've built to this, plus we're still lacking in the how.

One wonders what role Marco will now play, and whether Tiny Tiny Chopper is due to recover. We haven't heard from the others for a bit, nor CP0 nor Yamato. Our Pineapple does have unfinished business with Edward Weevil tbf so he could make it out, Izo may be a variable in that, they've yet to learn of Kiku's fate.

Also we never did see who that mystery person was did we? Still could be Hiyori

Marco's musing about gods does feel like we're gonna get more about King, and more lore of the world that Robin will love to soak up like a sponge, Oda have been leaving these seeds since Skypeia, and where there are Gods, there are Devils.

We are however getting major death flags from the minks, one last turn to Su Long to enable their efforts. I like how Ashura's sacrifice is not in vain because of this though, it makes me wonder if there's a slither of hope for Kin and Kiku. If anything though the minks will die from exhaustion rather than being defeated, Su Long eats away at you after all, it's probably gonna be traumatizing for Carrot a little but I hope we see some resolve out of her more like when she was in Zou and WCI, I still want her for Nakama.

And then the final coup de grace, giant dragon Momo, it's one hell of a panel and it means we're bringing Luffy back into the fight. But the extent of Momo's ripening is only in body remember, in mind he's still young. But now we have the setup for the final fight between Luffy and Kaido, I'll expect in that time we'll have to try and finish off everything else with the Akazaya, reconvening the Straw Hats, King, Queen, Big Mom, Kid, Law, Killer, Hawkins, Apoo and Drake.

Act's not over yet, less than 15 minutes until Onigashima Falls.
