The cafe was closed and the tables were clean. Wooden chairs were turned over and perched on the worn laminate tops. The napkins were replenished and the ketchup bottles were full and ready for the next day.

All was quiet. 

Except for flirtatious laughter coming from the kitchen.

“You did not say that!”

Benny lingered on her smile, on her beautiful lips, her bright, lively eyes. He grinned and threw his hands up. “I swear. That was the only way I could get his drunk ass outta here.” 

Y/N tossed her head back as she laughed at his tale and Benny tried to tear his eyes away from the delicate line of her throat and the supple skin covering her artery. 

He cleared his throat and turned away, busying himself at the sink again. 

“I miss the best stuff!” Calming herself, Y/N wiped her cheek with the back of her hand, clearing away a joyful tear. “I should work the late shift more often.” 

Benny wished for nothing more than to have her around every second, but it was too dangerous to dream. 

“Well, you gotta sleep sometime,” he said without looking back. There was only so much he could take and his willpower was dwindling. 

Over the past few months, Y/N had wormed her way into the cafe and his heart. She was kind and smart; beautiful in a relaxed sort of way that he’d never seen before. When she spoke, he was wrapped up in every word; when she smiled, he saw heaven. So many times he’d almost slipped and wrapped his arms tight around her, drawn her close, kissed those perfect lips. It had taken so much self control to keep her at arm’s length, but it was for the best. If he touched her, if she returned the kiss, it would be all over. He’d have to have her in every way, and for a vampire, that was till death. 

Sometimes he let himself dream of sweeping her off of her feet, showing her the darkness that lingered just beneath the surface of all things around her. He imagined her surprise and ultimate curiosity, the subtle excitement, the allure of being with him. She never ran in those dreams, she never flinched at his deadly kiss. 

She made a beautiful vampire. 

They lived happily together until the world burned. 

Benny shook himself to clear the dreams away. It could never happen. He refused to expose another soul to the curse that was his life. 

Y/N hissed behind him and he felt her pain. 

“Shit!” 

Spinning around, he saw her waving her finger in the air, batting her arm like a broken wing. 

He was at her side in an instant. “What happened? Are you alright?” His big hands hovered over her, afraid to land but more than worried for her safety. 

Y/N laughed at herself. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just burned myself on this damned caramel.” 

A deep breath calmed his fear but staring into her eyes made him shiver inside. She smiled and he saw the blood rise to the surface of her skin, illuminating it all for his preternatural eyes. She was perfect. 

He was staring and she shied away. “I’m OK, really.” 

Benny pulled himself back to reality. “Just be more careful, cher.” 

For a moment, he thought he saw a spark of love in her gaze, a bit of hope. She smiled, reached for another apple, and jabbed a wooden stake through the core. 

Benny flinched. 

“Why are you doing this again?” he asked, rubbing at his chest.

“Because it’s almost Halloween and people like them.” Y/N dipped the base of the red macintosh into the bubbling sugar. “What, you never had a candy apple as a kid?” 

He laughed sadly. “No, ‘fraid not.” 

She swirled the fruit, coating it in the caramel. “It’s delicious,” she told him, with a hint of flirtatious smile on her lips. “Tart and sweet… sticky, crunchy… just perfect.” 

Benny felt his desire grow, his hunger for her swell. “You do make it sound amazing.” 

Y/N set the apple down on a large wax paper lined sheet pan and looked back over her shoulder. “You’re real cute, you know that?” 

His hands trembled, his heart ached. “Well…” 

Turning fully to face him, Y/N put her hands on her hips. “Here’s a little tip: you’re supposed to compliment me back now.” 

The look was back in her eyes, that tempting glow was bright on her skin. He felt the pull and leaned in. 

“Sorry,” he whispered. “You’ve got me all distracted.” 

Closer now, she held her breath and looked up into his blue eyes. “Me?”

He hummed affirmatively and lifted his hand to her cheek. A bit of caramel was stuck by her lip and he wiped it away with his thumb. Y/N shuddered at his cool touch and held his gaze. Her lips parted enticingly and she reached with her tongue to drag his finger into her mouth. 

Benny trembled with desire as she sucked the sugar from his thumb, humming around it and swallowing slowly. 

He broke down and gave in, pulling his finger free and crushing his lips into hers. She accepted with a desperate moan and wrapped her delicate hand around the back of his neck, holding him closer. 

He licked into her mouth, savored the heat of her, the taste, the life pumping through her body. He could hear her heartbeat quicken; smell the arousal release between her thighs. 

“Benny…” 

His name on her lips was like a drug he never wanted to stop taking. He kissed her again and spun, pressing her back against the counter. She moved with him, breathed into him, lavished him in her mortal heat. 

When her hand pressed against his chest, he growled deeply. As it slipped down between their bodies, he panicked and backed away. Every bit of him was burning with hunger. He clenched his fists, clamped his jaw shut, turned his eyes from her face. 

“Benny? What- what happened?” 

Sadness flooded her voice and he hated himself more than he ever had. He should have never slipped up, never brought the fantasy to life. It was too dangerous, too real. 

He rushed to the door and gave it a push, pausing before stepping through. 

“Do me a favor and lock up?” he whispered, struggling to keep the anguish out of his voice.  

Y/N took a shaky breath. Rejection tightened around her heart and he felt it like a crushing blow. 

“Yeah. No problem.” 

He was alone again in the cold night. Always alone. But it was better than hurting her. That was one thing he would never do. Not Y/N. His sweetest dream.

OK, so. Finished my first run. Gotta admit I'm not 100% satisfied with some endings. BUT NO BIGGIE, THAT'S WHAT HEADCANONS ARE FOR, DON'T WORRY I GOT A PERMIT (i'm a Dungeon Master) SO LET'S GO, HC TIME D&D STYLE BC WE STILL GOT 8 LEVELS TO GO: (spoilers for BG3 and Descent Into Avernus going forward)

They'd all stay together and continue to go on adventures, the 9 of them, Tav, Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Gale, Astarion, Wyll, Karlach, Halsin and Minthara. Found Families stay together. (I do enjoy the polyship aspect too, so just throwing it out there)

There's an exchange you can have ingame with an NPC in the Guild and Tav will say the party's name is Wormskulls and I love it. I do also love Tadfools. Maybe they are Wormskulls to the general public and Tadfools to their close friends and allies lol. After the tadpoles are gone I think it would be very useful for them to commission earrings enchanted with Rary's Telepathic Bond. Less invasive than a mindflayer tadpole and just as useful. Also symbolic for Gale. I think the earring would have a pendant of a skull with a serpent coming out of its eye and being bitten by the teeth.

OK SO, my girl Karlach. I haven't romanced her yet, gonna do a run for that. But she's not dying on my watch. She's going back to Avernus, BUT YOU CAN BE SO SURE THAT THE MOMENT THE WHOLE PARTY IS READY WE'RE KICKING DOWN ZARIEL'S DOOR AND KICKING HER ASS. Or giving her her sword back and possibly turning her back into an Angel, something that whatever party of adventurers that managed to save BG and Elturel in Descent Into Avernus CLEARLY didn't do, it would probably not only nullify Mizora's contract with Wyll bc Zariel is now a completely different entity, if you decided to redo Wyll's contract with her, but also would give us a better chance of Zariel taking the infernal engine out of Karlach herself. Maybe turning Wyll into a Devotion Paladin? (more details about Zariel here)

I'd ask Jaheira and Minsc to take care of Scratch and Albie (owlbear cub) because the Hells is no place for pets. Even very brave ones. Maybe Halsin's "ending" fits here, taking care of the pets and the kids while everyone goes to Avernus, they leave him with a Sending Stone. And when they are back he's there waiting for them. 🥺

If we saved Duke Ravengard and broke Wyll's contract. (or didn't but are hcing that we broke his contract by defeating/unmaking Zariel) what does that mean to Wyll? I think it be super cool to go more in depth about it. How does he reconsile with his father? Does he accept to be reinstated as heir and becomes the Duke right away or does he think it's best for his father to continue his role a bit longer? Does he even want to be Duke or does he think he can serve the people of the Sword Coast better as an adventurer? If he turns into a Duke, what sort of benefit does that give an adventuring party?

Finding something to make Astarion able to walk in the sun again I've seen people talk about the Ring of the Sun-Walker as if it's from the 5e books, it's not, it's homebrew. HOWEVER, any freaking DM with a heart would create something similar for their player to continue playing without being afraid of dying instantly bc of the sun. The Cloak of Dragomir is canon to the Baldur's Gate videogame universe, so it be a good tie in, but it would be a temporary solution at best since it penalizes the player quite harshly, Strength: -6, Dexterity: -4, Intelligence: -2, Wisdom: -2, Charisma: -4 and Vampire Regeneration divided by 3, to 1 HP per 3 rounds. That being said, I wouldn't make it TOO easy to obtain as there are other ways for Astarion to be safe, like the Darkness spell. It would be interesting to see him (and Tav) struggle a little bit more, really feel the sacrifice Astarion made by rejecting the Ascendance even after they find something to combat the Sunlight Hypersensitivity.

Astarion's biological family would be something very interesting to explore in the future. They would be Elves themselves and are most likely still alive, we even have a surname thanks to people analyzing the shit out of that tombstone: Ancunín. As a DM I wouldn't wait for a player to decide to search for these people, I'd throw them at the players! Strolling through the Upper City in a quick shopping trip? You hear a loud gasp, things clattering and bumping into the ground, hurried desperate steps and then someone sobbing "Astarion?? Astarion is that you?!" What do you do?

Visiting Waterdeep and Morena Dekarios. This woman deserves to see her son again, and Gale deserves to finally go back home and see his mom without the burden of an ancient artifact lodged in his chest and a goddess wanting him to kill himself. Would he stay? I'm not sure, he went through an entire Odissey and maybe now home, although pleasant, is not as comforting anymore. Waterdeep is the element of Gale of Waterdeep and he's not him anymore. I think this would be a great premise for a roleplay focused arc. Gale is invited to the Blackstaff Ball for the first time since Mystra shunned him, the Wormskulls are famous now, The New Heros of Baldur's Gate (Gala Episode anyone? All of them SLAYIN with their fits? Poor Halsin totally out of his element). He's once again welcomed into the society of the Lord Mage of Waterdeep and his peers seem to have all but forgotten he was ever a pariah. Is that what he wants?

And Waterdeep has many opportunities for more adventure.

Kill the Lich Queen (CLASSIC D&D). Vlaakith IS FINISHED. TIME TO SPELLJAM AND BE SPACE PIRATES YALL. Lae'zel deserves to see this through to the END.

Shadowheart goes through another journey to find out if she wants to truly embrace Selûne or maybe become another thing entirely. Selûne should reach out or Isobel and Dame Aylin would help her out. Or maybe Shadowheart is tired of being a Cleric and following a god. But change and inconsistency is something that is under Selûne's portfolio, she's often followed by those who are lost, so I think she'd find more than fitting for Shadowheart to be a cautious and weary follower of her.

Your Tav's personal stuff. The Dark Urge sounds amazing and I can't wait to do a run with them, but I think most of us got very attached to our Original Characters Do No Steal. So I'm excited to see what people come up with for their Tavs. Otessa, my Tav, doesn't know her dad was a pirate, he never told her, so I expect that his past will come bite him in the ass and she'll have to help him out of that pickle.

When the party has reached level 17, Gale has access to the Wish spell. And I really do think they'd use it to get rid of Astarion's undeath. As a DM I wouldn't let Gale simply get the spell outright, he'd have to research it. Not only that, I don't think Astarion would be totally free of undeath, some remnant of it would linger, he'd probably turn into an Elf that needs blood to survive and is forever locked out of the Call of Arvandor or something. But he'd be mortal and would be able to walk in the sun without that ring, cross bodies of water, wouldn't instadie from pointy wood objects in the chest etc. (i'm writing a little one-shot about this, should post it soon)

Astarion is 100% asexual and I love him cause he’s just like me frfr which means he needs to be with me and only me. But also genuinely I think Astarion can only be happy with a redeemed Durge??? Like I think that’s the best path for him. Two monsters learning to be good together… GAH ITS SO CUTE. Either way, he’d need to be with someone who isn’t overly horny

Also once again I absolutely adore Gale. Gale is so good and so loving and he also absolutely loves body worship like he is hozier he was on his knees and worshipping his Goddess Mystra, loving her and now HE CHOOSES YOU IN HIS ROMANCE. HE BDKDCJKWHCISJDKWJD. I love him, so who should he be with? He’s more on the basic side overall, easy to get approval from, but also extremely romantic and loving, and autistic just like me frfr. So… actually maybe Wyll??? Wyll has some self worth issues especially after going all devil and Wyll is also a romantic? But ehhh… I dunno, it just doesn’t feel right.

Anyways, Halsin. I love the daddy bear man like YES he is absolutely fantastic and I love him so so so so much I want him carnally. But also I can’t really see him with most people haha. Maybe Gale though, imagine the astral projection scene but then Halsin is a bear, that’d be hilarious. But nah, I honestly like Halsin/Astarion/Reformed Durge Throuple. Essentially, finishing Astarion’s personal quest before initiation with Halsin will ensure that Astarion doesn’t get any self doubt. They are all on different parts of their journey for improvement, both Halsin and Astarion have severe issues with self doubt along with sexual trauma, and all of them have a “beast” inside. Durge with the Urge, Astarion being a vampire, and Halsin with his difficult-to-control wild shape. Plus Halsin to me is one of the most respectful and consent-focused characters, which I think would work well with what Astarion needs.

Ok so I wanna ship Karlach with some cute bard girl or something, someone just as fun and nice as she is. And you know what? Wyll and Gale is starting to grow on me. They’re both characters who try to “woo” Tav before doing anything, Gale with the Weave and Wyll with his dance.

Imagine, Gale teaching Wyll the secrets of the weave, likely Wyll has never interacted with it properly as his magic comes from a devil. This could help unlock Wyll and on some level separate him from Mizora. Oh wow, both these men have been manipulated and abused by extremely powerful non-humanoid women. They’re both self sacrificing gits who want to be the hero, both sacrificed much for power. I think it would start when Mizora first appears in camp, maybe. Gale would go to comfort Wyll over the transformation, maybe even compliment his horns. During the night of celebration Gale would see Wyll by the beach and offer to show him something magical, aka the Weave scene. They make some jokes and Wyll mentions the dancing, Gale prods, and Wyll says maybe another time.

I don't want to spoil too much since I still have a ton I haven't posted, but some of my favourite scenes I've written with them is weirdly the ones where they're having arguments and things get worse before they get better. It's just been so fun to explore Drals' inner conflict of not believing he deserves nice things, and then Azandar comes in with a fuckin sledgehammer like he's on HGTV like "ok we've gotta take down ALL THESE WALLS" Asha-ammu/Donobhan: they are so special to me <3 I love vampire/human dynamics in general, but so often the vampires are the smooth, sexy ones (not to say Asha isn't incredibly sexy, they're just Nervous) so it's been fun to explore how Asha being autistic and aromantic intersect with them being a vampire. Also Don is a sweetheart and I love him a lot. probably the healthiest dynamic of all my ships. Sadryn/Ember: honourable mention because I haven't really talked about them here at all, but my gf and I have talked a lot about them and they've been sneaking back into my thoughts again. it's one of those relationships where u just wanna grab her by the shoulders and go "GIRL WHAT ARE U THINKING, HE'S DUMB AS ROCKS & THE ONLY THING HE OWNS IS A DIRTY MATTRESS ON THE FLOOR" but she just thinks he's such a fun silly lil guy and wants to put him in a petri dish and study his red flags under a microscope I guess the pattern is that I loooove conflict & drama and when ships are messy and complicated!!

My fave YA options I don't see people talk about too often are Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand, The Girl From the Well by Rin Chupeco and Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare.

Fave I think is a little underrated: Cackle by Rachel Harrison. Oh and also In the Shadow of Spindrift House and Into the Drowning Deep (and it's prequel, Rolling in the Deep) by Mira Grant (aka Seanan McGuire).

Also, I have to shout out Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu, A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson, and The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black for vampire stories that aren't sweet, lovey romance.

And my fave middle grade horror right now is probably the Small Spaces series by Katherine Arden.

Favourite games in 2022 (not necessarily released in 2022 or even played for the first time in 2022, just... what I most vibed with in 2022):

Honourable Mention: Power Wash Simulator -- The ultimate game for listening to an audiobook and zenning the fuck out.

5. Zoombinis -- Rediscovered this game that was on the class PC in the corner of the portable back in grade 4. It gets genuinely hard at the higher levels?? Nothing like this game for making me feel stupid, getting stumped by an educational game for kids.

4. Dysmantle -- Really excellent gameplay loop. I should get back into this. This has a very amusing tetris effect where it makes you look at objects in the real world and be like "yeah I could break that".

3. Vampire Survivors -- Absolutely addictive. Another great game for listening to an audiobook, but with more actual gameplay. It looks like complete eye-gouging nonsense until you actually play it.

2. Mass Effect Legendary Edition -- I had just started romancing Tali when I got distracted by NaNoWriMo, gotta get back to that. I have played this series so many times and it remains ridiculously replayable. ME2 in particular is so good, and a lot hornier than I remembered it being.

1.Outer Wilds -- This shot to the top of my list of favourite games this year. It's so good. The DLC did not land with me as well as the main game did but that is not saying much. It is a terrible curse to love this game, since I want to tell everyone about it but it's a game you cannot spoil. And I do not mean that in like a... MCU, don't let the actors know what scene they're filming, kinda way. I mean that if I tell you anything about it, I am robbing gameplay from you. OK, here's one thing I will say so I don't sound like I'm being cagey for no reason: if you know what a metroidvania is, Outer Wilds is like a knowledge metroidvania. Where in a regular metroidvania, power ups give you access to new areas and let you finish the game, in Outer Wilds, knowledge gives you access to understand how to finish the game. Do yourself a favour and play this game, and do it completely blind.

Marr - Ever since she got cursed to be unable to do the things she loves ( makeup, hair, acting, singing ) she has acted really chill about it and she knows that she hasn't done them in so long so she's fallen out of love but god when things get bad she will cry for hours after trying to sing a song. it devastates her even if parts of that curse have become regular parts of her life, like her makeup being messed up is part of her brand, some days she wants to just look classically pretty and she wants to feel like the woman she used to be and it breaks her.

Am- Context is in my world vampires acquire parts of their greatest fear and desire. for this you gotta know Am's biggest fear is dying alone and without true love. she has taken refuge in platonic bonds but oh my god the day she found out Wes was her soulmate she broke down. She was incapable of having the love of her life ever. she said she would never meet her soulmate and if she did she would kill them, but you can't kill another vampire as a vampire. it's an act only witches or humans can do. And then shit, they are best fucking friends. the worst part is Wes is bound to her until the world ends. he will never experience love that is true, and because Am is always around he's constantly subconsciously comparing his romance to how he feels for her, which is impossible to beat. she can't tell him.

Wes- he's my least fledged out little guy but oh my god he is so incapable of anything past first base and like that wasn't a part of his curse! he doesn't know what's up he just can't feel a lot of things for people man. only time he remembers being good at sex was with Am but she's probably a sex god or something. he can't figure out love and it's pissinf him off

But you get the idea less Twilight more Castlevania like but I also like the ideas of Vampires just being absolute little shits like they are immortal bored and need to stir shit up ironically its the non immortal who has their shit together

We love a chaotic King/Queen/Royal

Werewolves are amazing, like I love them and their potential, but I feel they aren't presented well, or maybe I haven't found a good one yet I like. Like they are more than buff jocks like come on, just like how vampires are not just emo rich dudes who sip wine in their castle. Like why can't I have a smart werewolf rat king who could bring the end of the world. Or a werewolf who just wants to find their soulmate but has horrible luck or a werewolf who's trying to get accustomed to a life away from their huge family.

Potential here like I would read this or maybe write this but will I really or will this fall down the abyss known as stuff I'll do later(never). Less Jacob imprinting on a child (baby?) and more Bigby from Wolf Amoung Us (Anyone excited for Wolf Amoung us 2) gotta love the rough but caring detective.

Gorgons oh how I love you. I love gorgons Ok like sexy snake lady who could snap me in half sign me up. She's more snake then human even better I'm not picky. This is spawned from my love for snakes and the story of Medusa just kills me everytime I'm also a slut for greek mythology.

A matriarchal society of snake ladies who turn people to stone but make it a royal who's possibly trans Male and is trying to find themselves in a race which is 90% female but they are still proud of their culture and race and is ofc a Feminist. The gorgons are kinda confused but try their best they have the spirit like they are hissy with everyone else but with their own kind they are open and relaxed.

Also you can be a race of badass women and still not hate men like I don't really get it like you can be all for womens being strong without shitting on other genders.

Now Fae is an interesting on since its a huge category. We got like fairies, pixies, elves etc they are amazing BUT not really my jam like don't get me wrong love elves like Fenris my sweet love but elves are done to death and are kinda bland Dragon Age actually doesn't do too bad with Fenris story being really interesting but also making me want to headbutt a wall (Fuck you Denarius). Love me fairies and pixies and no disrespect to those who adore them but they are just not me cup of iced tea (too hot for tea).

Now Demons/Cambions on the other hand are something I find cool I swear I'm not a cultist. Like for example Hellboy is my jam (although he is a Cambion), Damien and Dhalia from Monster Prom etc. Like Demon characters with a soft side. I'm just not sure how to fit them but I want them in just not sure how. Demon literally fist fight and burn to their goals if only I could too.

Now Revenants are a special place in my heart (I swear I have not done anything illegal). Since one of my favourite movies is The Crow with Brandon Lee and I just love the idea of someone coming back to life getting revenge on those who wronged them like yesss. Like forgiving people and kissing and making up sometimes isn't enough and murder is indeed the answer. On a similair note its one of the reason's I adore Jason Todd although he isn't a revenant he was still ressurected and mentally fucked consumed with anger and revenge.

Seriously though Joker really needs to die like Batman doesn't need to do it but like doesn't America still have the death penalty so like why hasn't he been executed yet for fucks sake.

But seriously if we can't agree on whether Joker should be killed can we at least agree Jason deserves better (all of them deserve better) although I am on the fence with Batman sometimes he can be an ass.

Moving on while I am all for stories of chasing revenge I want a story where they find a way to exist despite this like try get revenge and it consumes them so their found family helps then gain revenge but doesn't let it consume them if that makes sense. I'm a sucker for found family the Bulls Chargers with The Iron Bull and Krem destroys me.

Divine beings I'm talking Gods/Goddesses, Spirits and basically anything which is immortal but not dead in someway or spawned in Hell. Now I have mentioned before I love Greek mythology so you bet your perfect ass I am a fan of stories of Gods with mortals (cosentually being the key)so Apollo and Hyacinthus 100%, Euridice and Orpheus, Rauru and Sonia defo and by some people's opinions Icarus and the Sun God/Titan (Apollo or Helios). But I do like romances amoung immortals themselves Hades and Persphone Hell yess any romance with Zeus and Poseidon get in the bin.

Now when I say Animal hybrid I do not mean Furries I mean creatures who look human with animalistic features for example Satyrs, Fauns, Tengu, Kitsune, Centaurs but also characters like Catra who are more human looking with some animal like features and behaviour I mean idk why but I love these type of creatures maybe because it forces us to create new things for them for example Avian creatures need different clothing depending on the shaping of their wings or more hairy animal hybrids need help with shedding and personal grooming. It gives a lot of opportunities for creativity.

Merfolk which maybe a bit of an unpopular opinion idk it's kinda bland wait let me explain. Merfolk much like elves are pretty standard and often are a copy past of eachother you know the beautiful mermaid who probably sings and looks like she belongs on a L'Oréal advert. Which is OK but like something different like gimme some variation also while I know sirens originally where supposed to be these bird like ladies I do like the more fish like version personally I am considering it but only if I cam figure how to make it interesting.

Leaving the best for last we have an eldritch abomination. (Seriously I swear I don't have a cult). Which to be fair I have no idea how to even explain this which is pretty on brand tbf if tentacles, lots of eyes and random gaping maws plus selling your sanity for love is your jam then here you are. A lover who you will go crazy for literally. While I love the idea again much like demons I have no idea where to begin cause let's be honest Chaos from Hades is Gender but they are also hot. Ik technically they are a god sort off but they give me big eldritch vibes and I'm here for it also their chaos so it makes.

Although what better way to understand Eldritch horrors then with reading Lovecraftian novels I kid you not they scare me but also hot hmmm I mean life already makes me feel insane minds well be benefiting from it amiright

When I play them they are already nonbinary. If anything it would be them getting kidnapped the second they leave the Underdark. They didn't have time to process they weren't a man. "Some Transformations are worth it." Probably just a quest to find a sex change potion and all they change is their genitals.

If Minthara is in the party they will have a child, mother spat. Over the course of the game they learn to respect each other.

Drizzt was their inspo for leaving the Underdark so probably running across them like the og games.

With the drider if you play the instrument badly instead of letting them do it they chew you out. "Next time leave that to me. I couldn't stand to see you mangle another instrument."
