So, I have been putting entirely too much thought into Bad Blood, so I decided to post my predictions here and see what you all think. This is specifically for The Judgement Day and the Terror Twins matches, because I have a LOT of thoughts on this.

Simply put, I don’t think there’s any way one group wins both matches. We have a feud between two groups, and two major singles matches for that feud in a single PLE. I think they’re doing this so each group can take a win and a loss.

As for who is going to win, i think it depends ok the Dominik and Damian match happening tonight (9/16/24).

If Dominik wins, I see a future where Damien needs the redemption of the win over Finn. It would add extra fuel to his fire against TJD. This would also set up a scenario for Liv to win at Bad Blood and establish Liv and Dom as a very strong power couple.

If Damien wins, I see them setting him up as a very strong competitor for Finn to beat. They’re clearly setting up a vendetta and Finn finally being the one to take him down and prove his skills would help that. This also sets up Liv and Dom as weak, giving Rhea the opportunity to take the title.

TLDR: My Bad Blood predictions hinge heavily on the match tonight, which I cannot watch because I have a mandatory meeting. FML.

Oh yeah I might as well ask here too;

FML stands for Full Moon Love, a title that makes no sense and I have no idea why I decided to call it that, so I've been toying with the idea of changing it. Someone on twitter suggested "Three Hearts" which I do kinda like, fits the themes of the story decently well, but I want Options and Opinions.

The plot is basically Evie has feelings for a friend that moved away, and she gains a new friend in Chris. Her friend, Conner, moves back into town and while Evie is dating Chris, she cheats on him with Conner. Evie is a villain. [Here's the original video] if you'd like more details. Less than half an hour long.

So! Hit me with some name ideas. Please. I literally have nothing I cannot think of Anything LMAO

Because of FFXVI releasing this week I wanted to purge the Switch controls out of my head and refamiliarise myself with the PS5 muscle memory (whoever decided to make the Switch controls different from every other game console is someone who cannot be trusted) so I logged onto FFXIV for the first time since November.

(Pokemon, Theatrhythm and Zelda kept me busy with the Switch since then)

So, of course, the first thing I did was spend like 12 hours crafting and gathering.

I swear I am going to max out my weaver role alongside my WHM role.

And, yes, I'm still playing WHM as my primary role. Which is terrifying because I get extremely anxious when the game forces me to play with a team of real players for dungeons. Because if I fuck up my own run then whatever. But if I fuck up someone else's run then I actually want to throw up. And messing up WHM is almost guaranteed to fuck up a run. And half the time I fuck up because controller inputs are okay but not perfect (targetting is awkward in particular). I can't even type to apologise or say 'sry I'm new' because it takes twelve years to type on PS5.

So of course the few sidequests I decided to try and clear from my journal all led to duty finder quests. Because fml.

But I did find the 'hide from suggestions' option! ...After I abandoned a few quests...

So I guess I'm actually going to tackle some MSQ again tomorrow! Because I kind of ran out of new things to weave until I unlock new materials...and I keep running out of Lightning Crystals so I would like to do something other than hitting rocks for a bit.

In other news in the game:

I finally discovered how to throw clothing into the glamour chest so I could free up some room in my armoury chest

I gathered so many resources for my mission to complete the weaver crafting log (every item up to level 40 so far) that I ran out of inventory space. Again. Including two retainers and my chocobo saddlebag. I'm such a hoarder.

My chocobo is named Zapdos. Because I had to. I love it so much and I'm glad I'm no longer alone when battling on the overworld.

Also flight changes this game so much when it comes to the sidequesting and fetch quests.

Oh yeah... I'm still on base game. Like...lvl 50 quests after the whole 'beat the empire' missions but before the next expansion kicks in.

I thought my 3 outstanding mail messages were going to be nothing important. And then they were Zidane, AC Cloud and Firion outfits. Which was neat!

Met Greg. Then got sad because it turned into Duty Finder so didn't get to fight him

Hildigarde is the biggest himbo in Final Fantasy-a title I previously assigned to Snow

I know I'm going to abandon this game again at the end of the week, but I really hope I manage to not get distracted again and at least reach the next expansion properly because right now I can't even remember where I left MSQ and what my current objectives were

And I hear such good things about the story after the base game

3. Fire (The hip-hop team consisting of S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon )

it’s about working passionately to accomplish a goal and aiming for something higher once the goal is accomplished.

4. I Don’t Understand But I Luv U. (Hoshi, Jun and The8 , Dino teamed up to form the performance team)

is a song for fans with lyrics saying that even though they speak different languages at different times, they understand each other and share a secret with a password that only they, Seventeen and Carat (the name of their fan community) know., inspired by a comment from an English-speaking fan during a live broadcast that touched Hoshi’s heart enough for him to write a song about it.

5. Dust (The vocal team that consists of Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK and Seungkwan )

is about wanting to forget about a past relationship that is piled up in all parts of oneself like dust.

6. April shower

an ode to how the efforts and struggles of today will pay off tomorrow in the same way that “May flowers” can only bloom after “April showers.” , is about how before their debut, Seventeen did not know that the struggles and hardships they faced at that time would help them in the future.

Well, this tirade about the inconsistencies and complete lack of sense-making in how JKR handles memory-related magic in the HP verse (the Pensieve, Memory Charms, the Confundus Charm, the altered state of mind induced by the Imperius Curse, the memories that Dementors make Harry relive, and how Veritaserum fits into this entire mess; as usual, the TL;DR gist was, “wow but the wizarding world sure is fucked up, due in no small part to JKR’s lack of actual consideration in world-building, isn’t it”) may not actually be good for anything as a piece of HP-related meta But at least it can get safely stashed away in my Josie-related inspiration file, because at a certain point, it basically turned into, “Okay, so here is what JKR did wrong in how she handled memory in the series, why her handling of it was wrong (TL;DR: a mix of basic inconsistencies in her rules for how her fantasy world works, and, ‘okay, Jo, but memory does not work like that’), and how I intend to do better, albeit with a bi genderfluid mutant superhero and therapist, who never quite grew out of being a goth trash theatre kid, rather than with the Bi Who Lived, the Brightest Bi of Her Age, Weasley Is Our Bi, and a rotating cast of seriously damaged adults”

WayV: Awaken the World - Album Review/Reaction

I love how I said I would write the KRY reaction post but here I am doing WayV instead ;alskdjfksldf

Overall impression: the two main sides of this album are urban/rap/noise and tropical. I definitely like one more than the other (just bc that’s my general music taste), but I feel like the song lineup of this album was specifically chosen to showcase rap line, while vocal line wasn’t highlighted as well.

Turn Back Time

Not gonna lie, when I first saw the trailer, I immediately went “oh god it’s another noise track. SM p l e a s e” Out of all the noisy title tracks in the past 6 months, I really only liked Obsession.

Appreciate the touch of the clock ticking sounds at the beginning, going from side to side when you’re wearing headphones

It follows a structure of noisy/rap verses, smooth r&b vocal bridge, and then power vocals straight into the grungy catchy chorus.

Lucas’s rap verse just immediately made me think CHANYEOL. Idk something about the particular execution and/or his timbre in this song just makes a Connection in my brain

Dance break instrumental draws some parallels to the Jopping dance break instrumental - excessive electric guitar on top of EDM beats

Something about the ending choreo and videography makes me think of old school EXO. Also the song structure too.

Literally the electric guitar and beats just make my brain go “cuz we jumping we popping we jopping” FML

Bad Alive

Very interesting synth instrumental, that almost tries to be a horn line towards the end of the intro

Gives you sneaky gremlin vibes. We’re up to shenanigans on halloween (with some sirens in the background)

This is a good head-nodder (aka great for me at work)

The noise cuts out to this dreamy bridge - a good transition; then we slowly start adding instruments back in

I honestly would’ve considered putting this as a title track. But I can see that it’s just a little too laid-back tempo wise for SM board to push it as a title track bc it’s not dancey enough. It’s a groove though !!

Unbreakable

I was waiting for a song that had a cleaner instrumental and more focus on vocals

This is more vocal oriented but it still is much more rap-heavy like the album has been so far

Chorus isn’t super riveting. It’s pretty and has nice high vocals, but it’s not very memorable.

It’s just a very innocuous song. It’s nice, but it’s hard for me to form much of an opinion about it. It just draws on the contrast between deeper, slightly aggressive rap parts and high flying vocals for the chorus

This makes me think of some NCT 127 track from an earlier album

After Midnight

Beginning few seconds with the synth piano chords already had me going like “tropical house ??”

“i want it all, i want it all” OKAY instant summer dance bop

oh it unexpectedly pivoted to a suave bridge with the background snapping that builds nicely to the drop

“touch me when the sun goes down, touch me after midnight” i see that we are still hoeing out in this album

“i like it better after midnight”

i am a sucker for trop house and i am aware of this and i do not care

this is an instant add to my “electric groove” playlist

whoever is going off in the adlibs for the final chorus can get it

Interlude: Awaken the World

oh with some east asian pentatonic scales

Only Human

acoustic guitar - that’s a new sound for this album; so far it’s been very electronic and synth heavy

spoken rap and singing style used here is a nice change of pace

I still think this album is way more rap heavy compared to previous mini albums

“tell me what, i get bruised, and i bleed when i lose - what’s the difference between me and you?”

it has a chill feel, even though i’m pretty sure from my rough understanding of the lyrics this is probably dragging celebrity life through the mud (watch me be totally wrong, but that’s what i’m getting from the english lyrics mixed with the chinese phrases i can understand)

Domino

This has a good combo of nice synths, good plucky bass line, percussion combo

The rap verse feel very comfortable

“I can feel it in my bones”

It has some trop house features (the poppy percussion, vibraphone/steel drums, and the chord progressions for the chorus) but it’s a much more mellow feel with the slower tempo and lower pitch

this would go into my “vibes” playlist

You’d slowly drive out of a SoCal suburb and off into the sunset on a convertible with this playing

Up From Here

The percussion and the electric bass guitar line are more dynamic and interesting than most things on the market these days - also the zither (descending pentatonic scale?) sound in the middle during the bridge

Was it intentional that the “love me like you do” in the chorus had almost the same descending pitches as the Ellie Goulding song

This song has a lot of nice quirks in it and keeps chugging along in a good happy-making way

The tenuto way of singing in the bridge has a very interesting effect

“it’s only up from here”

Electric Hearts

I cannot unhear the way they sing “Electric Hearts” being the same way that f(x)’s “Electric Shock” goes. The pronunciation of Eeh-lek-trick and the monotone execution of it !!!

Ok I know I already made one Ellie Goulding reference but like this instrumental literally sounds like something she’d use. The build up to the chorus is very Ellie.

They literally sing “Electric Hearts” the same way that “Electric Shock” goes i’m DEAD

Okay if you wanted some like late 1990s/early 2000s boy band track with acoustic guitar, a classic boom-boom-clap percussion pattern, and disk scratch noises, this is the one for you

I almost could remix this with SuJu’s Miracle. that’s how old we’re stylistically going here. back to like. 2005/2006.

“if i stand by you” is sung with a similar rhythm and pitch to the “i wanna stand with you on a mountain” line from savage garden’s “truly madly deeply” which is from 1997 why does my brain work like this

I rarely do written posts in Tumblr anymore because I am still figuring out how this new UI works in general (and there might be still be some bugs about writing posts + leaving them on drafts + publishing them accidentally as well), and tbh, between the past two months have been sorta chaotic and very mentally draining (besides some work I have been doing) and me attempting to think around some of my few active fandoms... well, haven’t had an eureka moment where I sit and write what I think about stuff.

So, let’s talk about some “stuff”.

Some days ago, I accidentally noticed by PURE CHANCE that some of the completed webtoons I was going to “eventually read” in LINE were going to get “locked”/converted  for Daily Pass. I mean, tbf, I knew that they were going to stick to this plan since past October, but it seems they really went full force this month (they only “locked” like a couple of series back then). And it’s exactly how I thought they would do so - popular series that have been already completed, old and recent.

I’m not going to complain about “Daily Pass” because I do have some thoughts about that and the fact they could use another model than just readers farming/buying coins, but, what do you do, especially since lots of these series are PRETTY long (140+ chapters long)?

My complaint does come from that, as a web user, I found this by pure chance, despite them saying they would announce what series would be locked in a 30-day advance notice. Because there’s no apparent indicator in the main page about THIS (The only Notice/News detail you see down below the page is about Canvas creators). Heck, I don’t think they even tell you about it in their mail newsletter, which kinda suck :))).

So, anyway.

I checked and, yes, a couple of VERY old series I was interested in reading were/are going to get locked. Problem, like I mentioned? THEY are pretty long! I know I can binge read as much as I want, but I cannot make miracles like reading over 100 chapters (if one series, try thinking about 2 or 3 -  I WAS NOT GOING TO DO THIS) in less than 12 hours! ESPECIALLY if those series were going to get locked THIS WEEK.

FML.

...anyway crisis was averted when I had to let go some interesting series that I may would get my way to read them (if there is a new buying/rental model they would apply) in the future... BUT I did read stuff I was curious or wanted to read... and mainly old stuff that I was willing to eventually finish one day.

Opinions on those series?

Okay, as brief and spoiler free as possible:

Untouchable: A story about modern-day vampires that instead of drinking blood, they have evolved to absorb the energy of their preys. This one is a romantic series about Sia, a vampire model and this human guy who has a very deep microphobia, and she puts her eyes on him when she realizes that his energy is like none she has tasted before. But, again, dude has microphobia (that is more or less controlled as time goes on).

I stopped reading this one for a while because  I was sorta smelling love triangle from a jealous friend of hers that OBVIOUSLY didn’t want to be looked as “just a friend”, lol. Like “how would this get solved”, kind of thing in your typical romance stuff. But then, last week I retook it... and it wasn’t as bad... but it leaks typical shoujo stuff/problems that become a newer obstacle as time goes on and on (misscomunication, lack of trust, overprotective family ANNOYINGLY hurting their own offspring, sudden deux ex machina...?). So, I think it finished fine... But man, I was so pissed off in how some stuff was managed at the end, lmao. Especially the way a “villain” was redeemed? I know that they say “karma is a b*tch”, but, DUDE KILLED PEOPLE BEFORE!? and you redeem him in a “lol, you will find out how love will make you feel” LIKe, DUDE, WHAT THE HELL. DON’T REDEEM HIM LIKE THAT.

Ghost Wife: I started reading this series in an unofficial manner a long while ago, but I supposed that the first chapters are pretty slow and it didn’t catch me on in the first place. It’s about a girl that starts seeing ghosts/spirits, and there’s this one that becomes WAY too attached to her, that offers her two options: either been eaten/killed or agreeing to be his wife. Given the title of thise series, you might wonder she accepted the second one

My lesson? Should have kept reading. The story picks up when other ghostly creatures are introduced and they start interacting with the main female character and her “ghost husband”, especially since this ghost cannot really imitate human interaction and his solution is “hypnotizing” everyone so he can “normally” fit. And the interaction between those two becomes more gracious and natural. You can feel that she likes being with him, despite the dangers of attracting ghosts that might kill her and all that. Heh.

Other lesson I had is that: the artist isn’t EXACTLY well into action scenes and some other details (but their ghostly creatures’ designs are TERRIFYING), so, I thought “well, I know there are other artists like this in the webcomic/webtoon environment, I shouldnt be too worried about my art once I get done with mine, right?

Also, some details started to make sense later on. And I cried like a baby in some moments, as well. Don’t have too many complaints, though. Perhaps more obvious “falling in love” moments... but then I realized that some actions speak lots better than words.

About Death: And speaking of “crying like a baby”, this one. This is a very old work, and it’s a gem, and it’s short, to top! And HECK, the art was AMAZING. Very touchy, and it makes you think. There’s quite a lot of South Korean webtoons that have made me cry because... they really make you think a LOT about stuff... especially about life and death.

Oh! Holy: Story about a shy and lonely loveable dork that is in love of his childhood friend, and that they eventually find each other in high school. Said childhood friend is idolized in school (but she is... hmmm... a dork as, well). Oh, he sees ghosts. OH, and she dies within the first three chapters accidentally :3. Shenanigans happen.

I HAD A LOT OF FUN WITH THIS ONE. SURE, it’s another shoujo but WAY less dramatic than Untouchable, because this was comedy (so, a rom-com!). And this one made me want more and more to read it. The characters all had an amazing personality, chemistry and their interactions were FUN AS HELL. The author seems to have my my sense of (dumb) humor, and the art was too attractive and knew where it should bright.

I don’t think I have too many complaints about this one. I may have felt unsatisfied in some minor stuff, but everything else felt “okay” to me, in general. 

A couple of things, though: localization and some quality stuff relating to translation in this series. I cannot judge the translation, but I do think it could have handled more quality checking on this one or proofreading, I’m not sure. I know that these (licensed and translated) series come in a weekly basis, but they REALLY need to pay more $$$ to their own staff to not let this stuff happen THAT frequent.

Localization is a bit of an issue I do HAVE though, and it is the same as in “Ghost Wife” and some other recent Korean series they have licensed in the recent past: Why using English-localized names, though? SURE, they retain their original last Korean names... but... why don’t keep their FULL NAMES, I wonder? I mean, weren’t we supposed to be over that kind of stuff already (videogames, JPN anime, manga other foregin stuff)? Is it because marketability? And/or because some names are “puns” that couldn’t easily be translateable in other languages? 

If it’s the latter, I think the same is applied in other regional language localization, like, in Spanish, original English language “Axed” is called “Natacha la del Hacha” and you cannot wonder how it crawls over my skin. I know this series is BUILT ON and is full of puns (as I am following it)... but... “Axelia” is a much more cooler name than “Natacha”... :I or so I THINK? Don’t take me too seriously...

In “Ghost Wife” I get it, you have spiritual creatures... their “human” names are puns of what they really are, and these words MAYBE don’t have too much meaning in English or Spanish or whatever... but... its a bit... glaring... when the main cast has English first names... and then you have a side character called... I dunno, “Soyeon” :I. or Haetae (a creature that didn’t have a human character name...) or, heck, characters that never appear again like... there was this “Damien” dude that for some reason, his name is slipped a couple of times as “Suho” (I wonder, his original name). But, then, you have people named “Liz”, “Drake”, “Sarah”, “Nathan” ????

I suppose that in “Oh! Holy” that might be the case, too. The original Korean name of the series is “오!주예수여” that is translated as “Oh! Lord Jesus”, because Holy in Korean is named “Yesu”. And, *sigh* I think that says enough. The pun STILL works... but :’))

But at the same time, I think my thing with the English localized names in “Oh! Holy” is that they are... blatantly boring and I don’t think they fit their faces. At all. But, maybe that’s me? (I mean, the “ultimate” reaper is called Norman. NORMAN.) Like I said, they still keep their original Korean last names... but... ugh.

(this is coming from someone who gave two of her characters very not obvious Spanish names given that they are Mexican, but I do have some valid cultural and VERY obvious explanations about those...)

Also - I don’t get LINE Webtoon’s selectiveness in this localization decision. Some of the South Korean series they bring, they do KEEP their original full names (see “A Good Day to be a Dog”, “Ghost Teller”, heck, the afforementioned “Untouchable”), but then you have stuff like “Oh! Holy”, “Ghost Wife”, “Scorching Romance”, “Mom, I’m Sorry!” or “Lookism”... ?????

And, this is very blatant annoying because a) K-Pop is HUGELY global mainstream nowadays and you can hear/read fans screaming their NAMES?! And 2) K-dramas are also pretty popular these days???

So, just to clarify, there are three layers right now:

There’s us, the players. In a sense, we could be considered ‘equal but different than the tier’, but we do still operate on a plane separate from the metafiction of Tsumugi’s ‘everyone in the world’.

There’s the ‘audience’, the outside world. This is the space that’s been breached at this point. And this... this is the level where the students are from, too - aka the reason I think we and the audience should exist as separate entities.

And there’s the domain of the Killing Game, a space created to play out this story, using real people - a place separated from reality... how? If Tsumugi is talking about a set, it could easily be the real world, which means they’ve been isolated somewhere. At the same time though, when they managed to reach the end of the escape tunnel and saw the outside world, they all started to choke and suffocate. So... could this be VR still? Or no? Can these existences known as Shuichi Saihara, the Ultimate Detective, Maki Harukawa, the Ultimate Assassin, Himiko Yumeno, the Ultimate Robot, K1-b0, the Ultimate Robot, and even Tsumugi Shirogane, the Ultimate Cosplayer, leave this space in any way, shape or form... or not at all? Is them suffocating ^ like that a sign that they literally cannot exist outside of this space?

I have to say, I do like these little character touches - the decisions that have been made as to which ‘cosplay’ says what. I mean, it’s supposed to also act as a way to throw our known and loved favourites in our face too, but having Celes comment on how boring ‘peace’ is? Having Ibuki smashing through the fourth wall to speak directly to the audience, Gundham remarking on their abnormal existence and Leon commenting on how cool the ‘aesthetic’ of the title card is? Just as I initially suspected, though - they really were normal when they got in. So how did they decide who got what personality/talent, or was that random? I mean, that might be the case - it was potentially hinted by the motive video switch of Chapter 2..

............. Huh.

But..... in what sense? Like the 16 talents were stored in those lights and they were ‘picked up’ by the most suited participant? How could you make sure there were no doubles? Or - and this is possible because of the vague language - did the talents build on what the student knew already? In which case, how would they know what the talents would end up being and plan the labs around them?

No, it would... have to be... the first one. Talents had its own selection in the flashback creating machine, though without verifying what the subcategories are it’s hard to confirm or deny anything... but I also can’t shake what Maki said at the beginning of the game? How it felt like their talents were given at random?

So... so they’re not only back where they started - completely isolated with everyone they’ve ever known and the world they knew completely out of reach (in this sense, dead/not actually existing are functionally the same), but they get a helping of a totally warranted existential crisis on top of that.

And... their bodies are real, so everyone else really is dead. No happy sdr2 ending. Well, unless I mental-gymnastics that to read ‘they have physical bodies to return to, but as manufactured personas it’s pointless.’

tbh I never found Izuru that intimidating as a final villain in the last game - but here? Terrifying. Maybe it’s in contrast to Junko here, who has the overbearing destructive personality of a tornado, but the quiet emptiness and lack of a higher purpose, of absolute futility that he stands for here - that scares me a lot.   Maybe it’s just because it seems to bring the concept of DR’s despair to a place that I can personally understand?

It reminds me of what Komaeda would say about his own motivation: it was watching everyone struggle with adversity, or the ‘despair of the killing game’, with the end goal of them ‘reaching hope’ - of seeing them overcome and grow stronger for it, that drove him forward. From the outside that makes sense; seeing other people overcome struggles, even ones so terrible, give us the mental strength to overcome our own problems. But for someone on the inside looking out... how perverse would that feel, to think that your suffering is basically being used as inspiration!p0rn? Knowing that there were voyeurs getting a kick out of your struggle?

What happens to game pieces after the game board is closed and put away?

Do they go into stasis? Do they just... exist, outside of time? Frozen forever, until they’re taken out to be ‘played with’ again; left to rot?

Thess vs Organisation

Didn’t get to sleep until really really late, and woke up way earlier than I meant to. But fuck it; today is the day I get shit DONE. I have ideas, but to make them a reality, I need to start making workable action plans. I think I know myself well enough to understand that while I can get things done by the seat of my pants, it’s probably better for my sanity if I look at it as a series of bite-sized chunks.

The Dodecronomicon

This was fun, but I wasn’t as organised about it as I should have been. That’s going to change, because I have things to share. So I’m going to look at it as if I was writing a sourcebooks ... or maybe more a series of smaller sourcebooks. ‘Chapters’ as follows.

The Drowning Deep: All my water-based homebrew tweaks - both things I have already used to the dismay of my players or things they still have yet to face. (Yes, you get to meet the Ur-Draug.)

The Screaming Sands: Desert-based creatures. For when you’re maybe tromping through corrupted war zones. (*waves at her players and griiiiiiiins*)

Eroded Into Nightmare: Corrupted versions of good-aligned creatures. This is largely a home for my corrupted pixie idea (man, I look forward to using those) but I have a few other ideas not only of stuff that’s already in the sourcebooks but other creatures of myth.

The Wicked & the Divine: Given the premise that clerics don’t have to gain their power from a God, exactly, and also given that warlocks can have celestial servants of the gods as their patrons, the line between warlock and cleric has become increasingly blurred. So why can’t someone like the Traveller have the equivalent of Devas and Solars ... or demon servants? Basically expanding the range of angels and demons available to the average player. Because I need way more servants of the Great Old Ones. Hee. Hee. Heeheehee.

Spell variants (title in progress): This is where things like Hedge Maze will go. Basically the spells are great? Especially given some of the stuff in Xanathar’s? But duuuuuuuude I have ideas.

Maps (title in progress): I have a good collection of maps now, and a much better handle on how to use my Dungeon Painter Studio software (I cannot call it DPS. I don’t care if that’s the abbreviation Steam uses - I have played too many MMOs to see DPS as meaning anything but Damage Per Second). This segment is going to have subdivisions, obviously - inns, caverns, temples, woodland, Other... You get the idea.

Other stuff as I think of it, but the basic principle is that I see a wide vista of campaign spreading out before me and the books aren’t giving me what I need. Or at least not the variety I’d like in what I need. If I’m going to remedy that for myself, I may as well share.

(I need more creatures suited to the cold. Because Reasons.)

FML Gaming

As previously stated, I’m looking at Let’s Plays. This is going to be some time in the making, obviously, since I need to actually pick a game and then play it (I’m thinking Bioshock? Mostly because I also want to show that there’s nothing wrong with being behind the curve in terms of title releases, and that a good story is sometimes a better reward than New Shiny Graphics, but then there’s the issue where I have problems with first-person perspective at the best of times so maybe I’ll start with something easier on my head. Maybe I could make “pick my game for me!” a patron reward, I dunno; I’ve seen it done), but I’ve gone over the premise there.

Single-Point Perspective

Reviews and essays. This time I am going to write a whole bunch way in advance, and ponder ideas beforehand. There are probably going to be some unpopular opinions in there, but I guess people can guess what those are. But there are also going to be book recommendations from all over the genre spectrum, movie reviews, and probably ‘evolving reviews’ of the games I’m playing in FML.

HIPPIE

I am committed to doing the audiobook thing. A lot of people find listening to audiobooks on the commute easier than reading the damn thing on whatever method they use for the whole reading thing, so why not? I had a lot of fun recording Chaos Magic the first time around, and actually have some ideas for improvement on what I did the last time, so while that is, again, going to take some time, I’m better with that kind of editing software than I was, like, nine years ago, so hey. Besides, this should hopefully give me the impetus I need to finish Access Mundi. (I owe a few sample chapters from that anyway.)

I am determined to have ‘teaser content’ and at least one major update for each section (except maybe FML, but I want to at least pick a damn game) before I relaunch my Patreon. I want to get ahead of the curve while I’m out of work, so that I’m not scrambling too hard when I have a day job again. I just need to work on some voice recording and some writing. At least I already have something more or less ready for the Dodecronomicon - The Drowning Deep has an addition. (*waves at her party again and griiiiiiiiiiins*)
