FFXIVWrite 2023, Prompt 6: Ring
"All right, if I was a bunch of important documents, where would I be?" Dia asked absolutely no one as she stood alone in Aymeric's home study.
"Beats me", answered Ardbert in her head, the only person who could conceivably answer this question. "Only way anyone can get you to stay in place is to beat the ever-loving shite out of you, anyroad."
"You're so helpful and remind me of so many wonderful things that happened to me that I simply can't contain myself", Dia barbed sarcastically. "Now then, documents. Important government documents", she blathered on as she began her search. "That's what girlfriends are for- fetching bloody papers. Never mind the nice lunch I made for us this week. I'm the Delivery Girl of Light, after all."
"It's like we're adventuring again", Ardbert dryly remarked. "He said it was in some sort of big envelope, yes?"
"Yup. And I think..." Dia pulled one out of a pile left on the edge of his desk, "...this is it. Even has the little classified sticker."
"How important. Now then, let's get the damn thing over to him."
"Gladl--" A sight passed by her eye as she moved her head away from the desk, making her do a double-take. "Now what's this?"
Upon closer inspection, she found that a small black box sat in a spot close to his office chair. Dia picked up the box and took a closer look. "Is this a ring box?" She asked.
"It looks like one to me. Question is, is there a ring in it?"
"I don't know if I should open it. I mean really, him asking me to find some documents is not permission to snoop about his private business."
"But what if you really wanted to open it?"
"Hm. I didn't consider that. Yeah, you're right. I should open it."
Dia lifted the top of the box and revealed a ring sitting in a pillowy interior. The ring was comprised of a mythrite band topped with a rather large diamond, glittering in the light of the nearby lamp. "That's...that's a nice ring."
"Shiny, anyway. What's he doing with this?"
"I'm not sure." She tried to find context, and noticed a House Borel insignia on the band. To the right of it, there was text engraved.
May the fire in your heart warm the winter in my soul.
"Thaaaaaat's something", Dia's voice quavered.
"Dia, is this a bloody--"
"Engagement ring." She put the ring box down quickly. "Ohhhh gods, it's an engagement ring. Oh no. Oh no no no no no. Argh!"
"Well, let's calm down for a moment", Ardbert attempted to keep the both of them relaxed. "It might not even be for you."
"Who the fuck else is he going to give this to?"
"Well, I'm just saying. It might not be for any giving purpose. It might not even fit you. You'd think he'd get your ring size before he'd try that."
Dia pulled the ring from the box and attempted to slip it onto her ring finger on her right hand.
"It fits like a godsdamn glove. Ahhhhhh!"
"Okay, okay, so it fits you perfectly. We don't have to panic. Plenty of people share ring sizes. Even if it is for you, what's the worst thing that could happen if you marry him?"
"I'm not marrying him. Not now. It's the fact that I'm going to reject him that's got me all upset."
"...Dia, you cannot reject that guy."
"Oh yes I can."
"What could possibly keep you?" Ardbert demanded in disbelief. "You already live with the man, I've accidentally popped into just horrid sights from when you two are alone, you barely leave Ishgard any more."
"I'm too young!"
"You've 27 summers under you."
"I may as well have just left the crib!"
"Good gods in every heaven."
"And...I wouldn't just be his wife. I'd be his viscountess. I'd be the Lady of House Borel, and that's not who I am, Ardbert. I'm an adventurer, not a noblewoman."
"I can guarantee you that he would never ask you to be a Lady of anything."
Dia groaned. "Every time I think about marriage, I just...I get nervous as all hells. I know it's not rational, but I just-just...I can't do it yet."
She brought her focus back down to the ring on her finger and stared into it for a moment. "Though...this is a nice ring. It'd be nice to wear this around the place. I could enchant it a bit so I could teleport back to the manor as needed, provided that I find a piece of aetheryte." She laughed lightly. "I'd be able to flaunt it a bit."
As soon as she started getting lost in the ring, she snapped out of it. "No. No, I'm not marrying Aymeric for vanity." She took off the ring and placed it back in its box before picking up the envelope. "I've got documents to deliver and lunch to eat with him."
"You know what kind of couple likes to set up routines?"
"Shut up, shut up, shut up."
-------
Upon reaching the doors to the Seat of the Lord Commander, Dia knocked against the double doors.
"Who is it?" Aymeric called.
"I'm you from another dimension. Listen, I don't have much time, but you've gotta let me in!"
"Come in, Dia", he laughed. Once the doors were open, he stood up and grabbed a chair from the eastern wall. "Silly, silly girl."
"And yet, you still let me in every week. Who's really the silly one?"
Aymeric's lips pursed as he tried to keep back laughter. The chairs was placed in front of his desk and so was Dia.
"Once again, you are my hero. Thank you, Dia."
"Of course. Dia Sito Delivery Service offers 100% satisfaction guaranteed."
"Ah, what a coincidence. So do I." He smirked suggestively. Dia giggled.
"Euugghhh", Ardbert groaned.
Quiet, you.
"Ah, and you've brought lunch as well, thank the Fury."
"I did." Dia placed the basket on his desk. "I hope you're hungry. I've beef stroganoff with a pumpkin potage and Thavnairian chai for us. If you've room for dessert, I placed a peach tart in here as well."
"Scrumptious."
The two of them took their seats, Dia levitating the food to the plates and passing shares accordingly. Once the chai was poured, they took their cups and gave a small, "Cheers!" before they drank.
As the tea made its way down the hatch, her nerves seemed to settle and worry seemed to slip away. Her focus became the present. Nothing demanded either of them in this moment, aside from their hunger. Dia could just sit and watch Aymeric enjoy her food while she held a warm cup in her hands close to her heart.
Is this...what it could be like? Would things just stay the same if we...
Of course, all Aymeric saw as he looked up was Dia looking to him with a fond smile on her visage.
"Has something caught your eye?" He asked.
"Huh?"
"Is there something on my face?"
"Yeah, someone put all that gorgeous on your face. You should be more careful."
Aymeric blushed.
Oh, just tell him already!
"Actually, what I was thinking about...I saw that ring on your desk. It's beautiful."
"Ah yes. A marvel, is it not? Still in good condition after all these years. I'm certain the Pillars to Firmament Society will be utterly fascinated."
"...come again?"
Aymeric tilted his head. "I told you about this, did I not?"
"You...might have? Refresh my memory, if you would be so kind."
Aymeric placed down his fork. "A group of scholars have created an historical preservation community called the Pillars to Firmament Society and have begun documenting anything they can about this time. Seeing as I am Ishgard's first- and I pray not the last- Lord Speaker, they wished to gather what information they could about me. Alas, I'm not dead, much as I'm beginning to suspect these historians might wish me to be that they can begin pilfering through our personal belongings, so I offer them objects of some personal significance that they can record for future generations."
"Ohhhh..."
Ardbert cackled in her head.
If I could go in there and throttle you, I would!
"Forgive me. I completely forgot. So...would that have belonged to your mother, then?"
"Aye. They've been combing my house's history that they can find any crumb of information to present. I thought to present them a piece of my mother's history." Aymeric rubbed the back of his neck. "I do hope this society of theirs lasts. I was thinking of you when I heard of the formation of this group."
"Me?"
"Indeed. You're a scholar of Nym, both in the fact that you know their healing arts and that you study their history and culture deeply. I could only imagine how frustrated a scholar of Ishgard might be in the distant future if they were left with nothing of this time. I also thought about what you told me before the ecumenical council."
"The...oh, what I said about the statues."
"Yes, and your point did have merit. Through the creation of museums, we can preserve such things without erasing the horrid acts of our forefathers. I believe it to be a nice compromise, but until now, we had no one who would be qualified to act as a keeper of Ishgard's history. With the creation of an historical preservation society, we may one day be able to arrange such a museum."
Dia stared with great affection and pangs of guilt. "Well, that makes me feel bad for what I did with the ring."
"What...did you do?"
She focused her gaze to the ground beneath her. "I mayyyyyy have tried it on."
"Oh, is that all? Did it fit?"
She perked back up. "...yeah, it did. Perfectly."
"Then no harm was done. The ring was already examined. It only just returned is all"
The rest of their lunch hour passed far too quickly for either of them. Aymeric helped her clean up the mess and Dia left with a wave. He sat back down and took out an agenda, opening it to a page for the next day.
In the column for the beginning of his day tomorrow, he wrote the words, "Ask Pillars to Firmament about the size of the ring."

Steve didn't know how he ended up having Eddie Munson between his legs in the backseat of his car of all places.
Oh yeah, the spinning bottle had pointed at him and Tommy had dared him to go teach The Freak a lesson.
Steve doubted Tommy would've come up with that if he knew the little game Steve had been playing with Eddie since the beginning of his senior year.
Still, he complied. There was no way he would pass up such an opportunity to go search for Eddie without raising suspicion on them both.
"No, you stay here," he gave Tommy a cocky smile, tuning up his King persona to the ten. "Sending me is already overkill. It'd be a fucking joke if I even need you to take down The Freak."
Steve let the hollers and mocking laughter wash over him, feeling both at home and wrong-footed in the skin he was wearing.
He couldn't wait to get out of there and be as far away from those people as possible, knowing Eddie would make everything right again even just for a night.
The party-goers had been none the wiser when he wandered to the backyard of Tina's house, heading to Eddie's regular dealing corner and told the metalhead to meet him at the quarry where no one would bother them.
One thing led to another, instead of dragging him to the back of the van like usual, Eddie chose his beamer to be their destination of the night.
Given the limited space, their frantic movements slowed down after a while, panting into each other's mouths and melding their tongues together.
And yet, their clothes were still on because they liked to keep up the pretense, liked to deny that they cared.
As if Steve didn't secretly protect Hellfire from the jocks all the time, as if Eddie didn't shush him softly as he cried the other night, shield him from the darkness and call him baby.
It was confusing, the trajectory of their not-friendship; but it was intoxicating, the way they gravitated to each other without fail.
"Why here?" Steve asked, chest heaving up and down as Eddie quickly worked his belt and flies open.
The inside of the beamer's backseat—however spacious it had been before—was now cramped with two grown boys, all muscles and gangly limbs.
And Steve was no cheerleaders, either. He couldn't curl up to make himself as small as those girls. Fortunately, he was flexible enough for Eddie to mold however the metalhead liked, forcing his legs apart with pure teenage brawn.
"Wanna see what's the fuss over the famous Harrington Backseat about," Eddie murmured, licking a stripe on his hand before shoving it down Steve's briefs, stroking him right away without any lube.
Steve hissed at the burning stimulation and the raw friction of those chunky rings, but he was already dripping too much precum to feel uncomfortable with them. If anything, he quite enjoyed it whenever Eddie was a little rough and mean to him.
"Yeah?" Steve bit his lip, aware of those dark eyes following his movements like trackers, sending shivers down his spine. "And what's your opinion so far?"
To be honest, Steve never understood the appeal of having sex in the backseat. The space was never enough for two people to move freely.
He simply did it because it was more convenient that way; less risk of falling off the roofs and windowsills, less time of cleaning up, no need to worry about which ways were better for sneaking out once the deed was done.
Then again, with Eddie looming above him and those calloused fingers enclosed his cock like heated brands, he supposed he finally got it.
"Not as bad as I expected," Eddie mouthed at the column of Steve's throat when he threw his head back in a strangled moan. "Maybe it's because of a certain pretty thing here."
Steve whined and bucked his hips, wanting to fuck into the tight circle of Eddie's palm, but he was pinned in place by Eddie's weight—solid and warm and heavy. It messed with his tipsy brain, making him feel small and helpless, knowing he was entirely at the older boy's mercy.
"So wet already," Eddie kissed his jaw, thumb rubbing Steve's sensitive tip meanly, prompting another breathless moan from him. "Just needing someone to take care of you, hm, little prince?"
Cheeks flaming red, Steve felt his breath hitched, felt his inside loosened up and turned into molasses.
He knew it was just an act to set the mood, but Eddie's honeyed words did weird things to him, causing his heart to stutter and soar higher and higher, reminding him too much of love that it was a little bit scary.
Although Steve couldn't physically melt into the leather seats, he felt like he already did as Eddie played with his cock, pulling embarrassing noises out of him effortlessly, feeding him sweet filths between fervent kisses, gnawing his lips until they swelled up, until they were red and shiny like cherries.
Those sharp teeth trailed down his neck, sinking into the tender flesh and carving their marks on the bronzed skin, leaving bloody bruises behind.
The pain made it real, made Steve feel owned, possessed.
As if he was good enough to be kept, as if he was worth more than a pretty face and a quick fuck.
Steve knew he wasn't thinking rationally, he should be realistic and stop expecting Eddie to reciprocate his hopeless feelings.
He longed for it still, yearned to be touched, to be held by those arms every night, unable to keep himself from daydreaming about the what-ifs.
"Tell me," Eddie wrapped a hand around his throat, never too tight but always enough to turn Steve's head fuzzy. "Who do you belong to?"
The question came out of nowhere, shocking Steve to the core. Because whatever they had between them wasn't like that, was it?
Steve was The King and Eddie was The Freak. Two parallel lines that would never meet.
And yet, they crossed paths. Innumerable times. Rushing into each other like moths to the flame, knowing they would burn and explode, knowing they would ignite and crash like shooting stars.
Transient.
Beautiful.
But Steve refused to let them be a tragedy as long as he could help it. Refused to hide behind the forsaken fortress he had built up for years.
Because Eddie deserved better, and all Steve could offer was himself.
"Y– Yours," he mumbled, eyes half-lidded as if he was drunk. "'M yours, D– Daddy."
Eddie's gaze was dark and heavy on him, bottomless and ravenous as they drank in his debauched state; disheveled hair, flushed skin, teary eyes, swollen red lips, redder cock drooling over the white cotton and thick denim.
For a second, Steve was afraid he had ruined it, had exposed himself too much with that slipup, but Eddie didn't even pause, he just grinned wildly, looking unhinged as he made his demand.
"Again."
"'M yours, Daddy," Steve babbled, losing his mind over the encroaching orgasm, curling his toes and arching his back off the seat as he reached the peak. "Yours."
Without preamble, Eddie spat into his gaping mouth and Steve's eyes just rolled back as he shot off, dirtying his jeans and shirt as well as Eddie's hand.
Eddie kissed him—for no other reason than to eat his whimpers right from his mouth—humming and moaning as if tasting ambrosia, not just saliva and the lingering sweetness of cocktails Steve had religiously knocked back during the party.
What came next was the belt's clacking noises. It sounded distant to him, like his brain couldn't catch up with his surroundings anymore.
But Steve was a man of habit. So it was no surprise when moments later, he blinked back to reality and found himself sucking the head of Eddie's cock, tonguing the slit and tasting bitter musk as Eddie groaned and gave a few quick strokes before coming into his mouth.
Greedily, Steve swallowed everything, licking and drinking until Eddie grabbed his hair harshly to stop him.
He was still quite dazed as Eddie cleaned him up, as Eddie redressed him, as Eddie guided him to the van and bundled him in a soft quilt that smelled like weed and smoke and drugstore soap.
The quilt was his comfort blanket, which Eddie never questioned him about, just always happened to have it around whenever Steve needed it.
And somehow, that was the first reason Steve fell for him.
Shaking his head to the joint Eddie offered, Steve leaned on the metal wall of the van and sipped slowly from the bottle of water he had been handed, basking in the peaceful silence that he rarely had for himself these days.
Then, he shifted his gaze to Eddie, meeting those intense eyes, and set the bottle down beside him.
"Thank you."
"What for?" Eddie tilted his head, as if curious, as if wanting to observe him more clearly.
"Everything," Steve shrugged and toyed with the hem of the quilt, feeling his cheeks warm with embarrassment. "I mean, I was and still am an ass to you. But you always treat me with kindness, and well, make me feel like a real person, not just some– some puppets mindlessly dancing to the music. And I'm glad that I had accepted your offer that day."
"Don't sell yourself so short, Harrington," Eddie snorted, turning his face away briefly to blow out the smoke before looking back at him. "I get it. You have more things to lose than I do so 'course you gotta put on some acts to ward off your nosy subjects. Besides, it's not like I don't benefit from our transaction, or I'm a Saint, either. But it doesn't matter, does it? You and I, we both got something out of this. And that's enough for me."
Steve felt his stomach drop. So that was just a moment of heat, then. He was the idiot to believe it had been real.
And Eddie had said all of that so bluntly, leaving him no delusions to think there was something more between them.
"Okay," he said dully, pulling the quilt tighter around himself to keep the sudden coldness away.
"Fuck," Eddie cursed under his breath and snuffed out the joint in the ashtray nearby before moving closer to him. "Stevie, sweetheart, please look at me."
He had half a mind to ignore the older boy, but his gaze could never not be drawn to Eddie. It was as easy as breathing, a natural thing that had been written into his DNA.
"What?" He looked up, allowing some irritation to seep into his voice.
"I'm not good at this, Jesus Christ," Eddie muttered, fingers carding through frizzy hair and pulling a curl to chew on it anxiously, big brown eyes honed on him. "I'm gonna be honest with you here, Stevie. I never thought I'd have a chance with you, let alone kiss or touch you. But then I did and that's already crazy, you know? 'Cause we're not even friends who greet each other in the hallways like real people. We're just what? Strangers with benefits? Fuck-acquaintances? And don't forget that you had to lie to your friends to sneak out to see me. That they're still thinking you're beating me up right now."
Which was sadly true.
Steve could see why Eddie was so reluctant to get close to him. There were too many problems between them, and they were complicated enough to give Steve a headache.
Then again, he still wanted to try. Because Eddie was the only one who really looked beneath all of those layers to see him. Which was already much more than what other people (including his parents) had done for Steve.
As if reading his mind, Eddie chuckled wryly.
"And you know what's funny?"
"What?"
"That no matter how hard I tried, I still can't get you out of my mind."
Steve inhaled sharply.
"Yeah," Eddie smiled self-deprecatingly, one hand coming up to brush the bruises on the side of Steve's neck. "And the thing is I don't like to share. I'm a possessive motherfucker, sweetheart. Once I'm obsessed with something, I'm gonna keep it and take good care of it."
Eddie sounded insane even to Steve's muddled brain, and that was saying something. Still, he only found himself enraptured by it, deaf to the siren blaring in his head.
"But you're too pretty to be hidden away, sunshine," long fingers moved up to tuck a hair behind Steve's ear, sliding down the curve of it to trace the line of his jaw and his cheekbones, drawing constellations on his skin. "You should be put on the altar, put on the display to show people how gorgeous you are. Let them covet, let them beg for a glimpse of your beauty."
Steve's eyes fluttered shut as those fingers enveloped his throat again, squeezing just right to make his head go silent.
"And I'd be there," Eddie murmured in his ear, making the heat travel down his navel. "Befoul you with my devotion, and brand you with my name. And they'd be so jealous of me, 'cause the angel they worship is already mine."
Steve groaned, growing hard again at the vision Eddie conjured up in his mind. He felt dizzy, floaty, and tender. He wanted to live in this precious moment forever.
"Still wanna be my boy, sweet thing?" Eddie nuzzled his cheek. "When you know how crazy I am?"
"Keep me," Steve whispered, swaying into the only source of warmth that he knew of. "Don't let me go."
When I've got you, baby was pressed on his lips, when those arms caught him and tugged him close, embraced him with promises of love and protection; Steve knew he was finally home.
If the following day, he pissed Tommy and probably most of the jocks off by sticking up to The Freak, then well, Hellfire was ready to extend an olive branch to the former king of Hawkins High.
Because who was they to not welcome their DM's beloved prince?
And some years down the road, when Steve became a primary teacher and Eddie opened up a garage, when they bought a house and settled down together, they would tell their children that they used to be high school sweethearts.
And it wouldn't be a lie.

TW: Cussing, angst, some tension
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 3.4k
A/N: Hi everyone! Posting in Elvis hours again! Hope you like where this next part is heading! More to build upon and can't wait to share with you what's next! I Hope you enjoy!
*
July 8th, 1969
The next few days felt like an eternal hell. It almost felt like you had to start your life over. It was lonely and quite depressing. You were so mad at Elvis for how he’s treated you after all these years and the other night was your breaking point. You thought a person could change but you might have been wrong. You didn’t want to talk to anyone about what happened over dinner. You kept to yourself for the next few days and no one seemed to mind. John didn’t bring up once why you stormed out of Elvis’ house. It was a better idea for him to do that. You didn't want anything to do with him.
You had to get yourself out of this funk. You can either let this define you or do something else to make a difference in your career. You started taking fewer hours at the diner which was a scary choice because you knew it wasn’t going to be easy getting new auditions and getting booked for them. It had been three years since you’d gotten anything remotely interesting. You were afraid you didn’t have it anymore.
You tried to push that negative energy out of your mind and focus on some good. You had to try and go out there. It was still your passion and something you would tirelessly work for.
For the next few days, you set out for any audition you could find. You'd wake up early to go to the diner for a few hours, then change into new clothes to go search for audition notices around the city. There were quite a few you found and it made you feel hopeful one of these projects could be yours.
You hadn’t spoken to Elvis this entire time. It was almost strange after you were so used to this new routine you two had. You had too much anger towards him to speak to him about everything without yelling at him again. You were surprised that he didn’t even try calling you. Every time the phone rang, you always expected to hear his smooth southern drawl ring in your ear but you were left disappointed.
After a few days of nothing but empty promises and bad auditions, you had to keep trying. You knew there would be a hundred nos before there would be one yes. You were about to head out for the day and go to another audition you had scheduled when the phone rings. You were home alone and wondered who could be calling this time of day.
You quickly pick it up, “hello?”
“Hi, may I speak with y/n?” A woman’s voice says on the other end of the line.
“Speaking?” You say, not recognizing the woman’s voice.
“This is Nancy from Paramount Studios. We’re holding open auditions today for a new production. Your resume was passed onto us from a friend and we were wondering if you’re free to come in today around one?” She asks you.
You were a bit taken aback. This was unheard of for you. No one was calling you for auditions, you were normally the one on the phone begging them for a chance to be seen. But you had to push that self-doubt away and seize this opportunity now.
“Oh yes, I can be there no problem!”
“Wonderful, we’ll see you then,” she says.
You were thrilled, this could be a new start for you. Your brain couldn’t help but spoil the moment with doubt. This all felt too easy. You had only been out looking for new jobs for a few days and this fell into your lap? It didn’t settle with you, right?
It had Elvis written all over it.
He did something to get you this. Sure, it could be just dumb luck but with Elvis around, that wasn’t a thing. He needed to stay away from you, you didn’t want him around screwing up anything else for you.
You raced to the studio and got there early to get your hands on the script they wanted you to read from. The audition went really well. The scene they had you do dealt with a girl pleading for her boyfriend to tell her the truth whether he loved her or not. It wasn’t too far off from your real life you realize. You connected with the script and let your emotions over your whole situation with Elvis fuel your performance. You left the soundstage feeling positive but still not that hopeful you had the role. It had been a while since you worked so you weren’t sure if your lack of work would hinder you.
The next day, you get a call and it just about makes you scream with joy. You got the part and you needed to be on set in two days. You couldn’t be happier. It was a shorter production for your character but you didn’t mind it. You get to be on set for five days and do what you love. It was going to be a new start for you, just like you hoped. You had a new sense of optimism. Things were going to be alright, and maybe you needed Elvis out of your life for it.
That thought made your heart cry.
*
The first day of shooting went well and the entire cast and crew were wonderful to you. You had some jitters at first but they disappeared when you started to work with everyone. Everyone showed you respect and appreciation for showing up and being prepared for the day.
You’re always surprised how much waiting there was when you’re on set. Your call time might say for you to be onset at three, but you won’t start shooting til four. That’s Hollywood for you. It takes the crew a while to set up the new camera or change locations. Thankfully you had the patience for this waiting game.
You weren’t called onto set for another three hours so you had time to kill. They were kind enough to give you a small trailer to get ready in that you shared with another co-star. It wasn’t like what the big stars got but you were thankful you had a couch in there you could take a nap in if you wanted. Sometimes you have to take advantage of the downtime and get a few minutes of sleep. You were going to be on set late today for scenes that were going to be shot at night so you needed the rest.
You lay down on the small, two-seat sofa and try to get comfortable. A knock on your trailer door snaps you awake and you sit up. You couldn’t have dosed off for more than a few minutes and became fearful that you overslept and they were looking for you on set.
“Come in,” you quip, straightening out your hair and smoothing the dress you had on.
Sunshine pours into the trailer and a tall shadow walks in. Your heart stops when you see his face. That beautifully sculpted face that people dreamed about was standing in your trailer.
Elvis.
He wore tan slacks and a white button-up, looking at you like he did when he first saw you a few weeks ago. He looked so put together and effortlessly beautiful. His hair fell down on his forehead, just how you liked it. He wore these gold sunglasses that had his initials on the sides of the frames. He takes them off and his blue eyes melt into you. God he was beautiful, it shouldn’t be that distracting but he was! You blamed it on not seeing him for the last week that you were jarred by his presence but who were you fooling, he was just too damn beautiful to look at.
Your mouth goes dry as you stare at him longer, not expecting him to be here.
“What are you doing here,” you say a bit coldly.
He continues to stare at you and doesn’t say anything right away.
“How are you, honey?” He asks softly. His voice has you melting. You curse at yourself for feeling this way for him. Even after everything he did, you still feel weak around him.
“I’m fine,” you say softly.
He stays quiet and looks around your small dressing room. You didn’t want him here lingering, he came here for a purpose and you wanted to get him out of here as quickly as possible. You also had things to get off your chest. You didn’t want him to stall or try to do anything drastic.
“How much did you pay them to get me in this movie?” You ask him, crossing your arms against your chest.
He turns around quickly, confusion covering his face.
“What are you talking about?” He asks, taking a few steps closer to you, and taking off his sunglasses.
“Oh come on don’t play dumb, I’m not an idiot. I haven’t gotten an acting job in over three years. Then all of a sudden I get a call that I was recommended to them by someone? It doesn’t make sense,” you huff.
“I didn’t pay them, honey,” he says calmly.
“Stop calling me honey,” you snap, “and stop lying to me!"
His lips form in a scowl and his blue eyes burn into you menacingly. He stands before you and takes a slow breath in while looking at you. He makes you feel on edge, being this close to him again was too much to handle. He was so provocative without even trying. His presence pulled you in so easily and made it hard to focus even when he was mad. He gently lifts your chin up to look into his eyes. His skin on yours again made you feel like a puddle. You defiantly look at him and wait for him to say something.
“From what I remember, you like me calling you honey quite a bit,” he teases, eyeing you up and down slowly. You hold your breath as you feel yourself crumble for him. He was right, of course he was and it pissed you off.
“I’m trying to be civil with you. I just wanted to see you,” he says low.
You quickly push his hand off of your face and scowl at him.
“Did you think this would make up for what you did? Like I’d forgive it all?” You ask him.
“I didn’t do anything about this role. I didn’t pay anyone anything,” he says fiercely. Your heart gallops away at his tone and the way he continues to look at you.
“I did pass your information to producers here, yes, I did. I still know people here and met with one of them last week for lunch. They were saying they were having a hard time casting this movie. He explained to me the role and… of course, I thought of you. It’s like second nature to me… but I just passed on your information, that’s all. I helped you get the call sure, but you did the work. You were the one who impressed all the producers and director. You got yourself here, I just wanted to help from a distance, that’s all,” he explains.
You sit down quickly on the couch behind you, feeling the wind get knocked out of you.
He was just trying to do something good.
He did something kind and stayed out of the way.
He’s letting you shine and do what you love.
Damnit he's impossible to hate.
You didn’t know what to say to him. You felt bad for snapping at him like this. You’ve had so much pent-up anger towards him this last week you couldn’t think straight about the whole situation. The sight of him on a magazine cover in the grocery store ticked you off. The sound of his voice on the radio put you in a foul mood for the rest of the day and you almost always drove in silence because of it. You still hadn’t listened to his new album even though it was everything anyone was talking about.
The guilt wracked through you the longer you looked at him. You couldn’t find the words to start to apologize to him. He still put you through a lot of strife. This wasn’t going to make it all magically disappear but it was a good start.
“I… I didn’t know,” you say timidly.
He stays silent, letting you find the words you want to say.
“I appreciate the help,” you continue.
“It’s the least I could do… you know I care for you don’t you?” He asks, taking a seat next to you on the sofa. “I’ve missed you terribly. I hate not seeing you.”
He looks at you softly, his eyes pleading for you to keep looking at him. He places his hands on either side of your face and gently rubs him thumbs across your cheeks, studying every detail of your face. It felt so good to be touched by him again. He was so comforting and intoxicating to be around. He keeps staring at your lips, parting his slightly as you’re both sitting there and he leans in a bit more. Both of you breathe in sharply as you get closer.
You were nervous for this to go any further. On one hand, you wanted him to kiss you like he used to, you missed how his lips made you feel on fire. You wanted to let your guards down with him. A part of you wanted him to hold you in his arms again and hear him say how much he’s missed you. What you would give to hear him plead for you over and over and over…
You let that fantasy wither away and slowly pull your face out of his hands. You take a sharp breath in, you were holding it the entire time he was touching you. He looks like he just got his heart ripped out of him. He was so physical and emotionally hurt by you.
“I want to believe every word you say, but you have to understand why I have the hesitancy not to,” you sigh. His eyes fill with hurt as he looks at you.
He gets up and runs his hand through his hair, clearly frustrated even though you can’t see his face anymore.
“Please come by the house after you’re done here, so we can talk. I just want to talk to you again,” he says firmly as he heads for the door.
“Elvis I don’t think that’s a good idea,” you say, trying to stop him.
“Y/n please, I don’t want to fight with you here. Just come to the house after you're done here okay?” He says sternly.
“No, I’ll go over when I’m ready to talk to you. I have to be back here really early too so I can’t come by,” you snip.
“Goddamn it,” he mumbles under his breath and goes to the door furiously, not taking another look at you. The sound of it slamming made you more upset at yourself. You didn’t know what to say to him. It was hard to have him look at you with those soft eyes that could make you do anything. You didn’t want to talk to him about everything you’ve been feeling these last few days. You wanted more time to process this all. It wasn’t going to be easy to stay away from him.
*
The next few days on set were wonderful and went by too quickly. You wished you had more days to work with all the kind people in the production. Elvis weighed in the back of your mind though. All you could see were those hurt, pleading eyes of his that begged for your attention. It had been over a week since the huge fight you two had. You still weren’t ready to talk to him. You knew it would go the same way when you saw him in your trailer the other day. You didn’t want to blow up on him again, you needed to have a civil conversation.
It was a sweltering night in LA. The city was experiencing a heat wave and wasn’t letting up for a few more days. You were looking forward to being in your air-conditioned apartment and relaxing. It was well after midnight and started to drive home. There was no traffic this time of night but the lights of office buildings in town poured onto the darker roads, illuminating your way home.
You unlock the front door and feel the warm, stale air hit you in the face. It was also pitch black in there and couldn’t see a thing in front of you. John had to be home, he didn’t stay this late at Elvis’.
“John?” You say loudly. The flick of a match makes you stare into the darkness, trying to see who’s in there.
He was in the kitchen and stepped out, “yeah?”
“Why are all the lights off? Why is it so damn hot in here?” You say grumpily.
“The powers shut off,” he says lighting another candle.
“What do you mean? Was there a blackout or something?” You say confused.
“The bill wasn’t paid on time,” he grumbles.
You were taken back. John took care of the rent and the electric bill. He made more than you and that’s just how you’ve always done it. He had never missed a payment like this, even in hard times. He never asked you for the money even if you two were having a really hard month.
“What do you mean? Elvis paid you right? You’ve been working three weeks for him. I’m sure that’s been plenty to pay the electric bill,” you press.
“Well it wasn’t, we’ll figure it out in the morning.” He snaps at you, taking the candle to the bedroom with him.
You knew he was lying. The man was lying right to your face. You just about had enough of it with all the men in your life lately lying through their teeth when talking to you.
You follow him to the other room, needing to understand what’s going on.
“Please don’t walk away from me. I don’t understand how we didn’t have money to pay the electric bill. This has never happened,” you press.
“I said I’ll figure it out in the morning! Get off my back about it. Should probably get used to it if you’re going to be out there acting again,” he huffs.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean? Are you blaming this on me?!” You protest.
“Well you’re not helping very much,” he snarls at you.
You look at him in disgust, not believing this is how the man you thought you loved is treating you.
“How dare you. You’re unbelievable, you know that. I know Elvis is paying you more than you’ve made in a long time so I don’t understand where our money is going,” you seethe.
“I guess it’s none of your concern since it’s not your money,” he barks at you.
You had enough. You couldn’t be anywhere near him at this point. You needed to know where all that money was going but you didn’t have the patience tonight to go back and forth with him. It was ridiculous the way he was talking to you. It seemed the happier you were, the meaner he was to you, sucking all the joy out of your life.
You quickly push past him and reach under the bed for your duffle bag. You open your closet and pull articles of clothing off the hanger and shove them into the bag. You then go to the dresser and put more clothes in there before rushing to the bathroom.
“Where are you going?” John asks annoyed.
“I can’t be here. I’m going to stay at a friend's tonight,” you snap.
“Come on,” he says dumbfounded, pulling at the duffle bag, trying to get it out of your hands.
You quickly pull it back though and don’t let him get it out of your grasp.
“No, I’m going. I’m tired of your shit,” you yell, quickly getting out of his sight. You rush out of the apartment and get back in your car. You drive almost on autopilot, leaving your neighborhood and driving up to the Hollywood hills, towards Elvis.

drum roll please...
hello @kingarmorking! I'm your Secret Santa!!!
Tumblr media
I will admit, your prompt had me confused at first glance but once I came to actually look at your account and work, OH was I eating!!! Sora as the Beast??? Riku as the Beauty??? it's been such a hassle not reblogging your art and leaving comments in order to keep anonymity... I'm obsessed with this AU and this is the product of that!
in case you don't remember, you asked for a scene written or something taken straight from Beauty and the Beast, and. I hope you don't mind if I was a little self-indulgent. I took some inspiration from the film but also... angsted it. ahh, I hope you enjoy it!!!
(everyone else, go read SEDI!!!)
secrets never kept, promises never made
Riku wonders which is Sora.
The two portraits hang proudly on the wall, even with time making them fade away and tearing at their corners. They both have dark green backdrops, the subjects facing each other, and Riku props his hand on his hip.
One is of a blond boy and the other is of a brunet. They have matching blue eyes, faces etched into permanent frowns of solemnity (although the brunet looks like there’s a slight whisper of a smile threatening to escape), and hair slicked down. They wear matching royal blue suits, and while only their upper bodies are shown, they seem so well put together.
Which is Sora? Riku can’t figure it out. He's passed this hallway a few times, without the Beast ever knowing, and he keeps trying to figure it out, and to no avail over and over. Was it the blond who seemed so serious, so sad? Or was it the brunet who seemed to try to hide a smile that even the painter picked up on?
Riku figures it’s the blond. Sora doesn’t seem like the smiling type.
But then againif Riku was trapped in a body for that long, he wonders how much he would change. He isn’t the smiling type or the particularly over-joyous type, but Riku still had some joy in his heart, even if he couldn’t show it. Where would it all go?
Buried deep down somewhere like some sort of coffin.
His metaphor is cut too soon with a sudden gust of wind.
This hallway is abandoned, with cobwebs wrapping themselves around candles like babies to their mothers, with all the blue walls having turned into darkness. Curtains hug the windows and even if it was day, no light would be omitted. For all intents and purposes, this hallway was intended to be left to time.
And yet, the door slams open, and Riku’s cloak flutters behind him. Riku doesn’t feel the fear he expects himself to be overcome by when he turns to see the large keeper of the castle standing there, shadows covering his face and expression.
Instead, Riku only turns. What else is there to do?
You’re not supposed to be here.
“I apologize,” Riku says, in only half honesty. He does feel bad for breaking Sora’s rules, as it seems it’s all he has left—he doesn’t feel bad for wanting to learn more. For wanting to end this eternal darkness plaguing this realm.
It’s why he hesitates and bites back his tongue to ask, 'Which one is you?' Is it important? Does Sora even remember? (Would he even tell Riku?)
Get out. A please is added after a moment, and Sora’s large form takes a step closer as if trying to goad Riku out. The shadows seem like a good place for him like he was made for it, and Riku wonders if that bothers him.
Both of the twins didn’t seem particularly sad. Neither of them seemed like they lingered in the shadows—
And yet, here they are.
Riku glances down and sighs. He can't suppress his curiosity, craving the safety knowing would bring. “Sora,” he calls. “How—”
It was a long shot, Riku knew, but he didn’t expect Sora to let out a mighty roar that shook the whole room. Riku lets out a startled yelp and hardens his gaze as Sora simpers, standing taller in the light, covering as much of it as he could as though he owned the darkness, he was the darkness. I said GET OUT.
It rings in Riku’s ears and he presses a hand to either one. He presses harder because the ringing doesn’t stop, and it echoes into his brain. It makes him nauseous and he—he has to get away from Sora.
I’m sorry, Sora, some part of him calls, stumbling backward. I’m sorry this happened to you.
The ringing, the ringing, the ringing, it drives Riku crazy and he keeps limping until he reaches what he thinks is a balcony. The ringing is going quieter, but it’s still there—is Sora still in that room? Riku hears something behind him—maybe Sora tears down the painting. Riku doesn’t know, doesn’t care, he scales the side of the castle walls the way he and Katsu used to climb houses when they were smaller.
Riku keeps moving forward—why won’t the ringing stop?
Is this Sora, trying to push him away; or trying to pull him back?
It’s getting quieter, though.
Riku keeps moving forward. I’m sorry, he keeps repeating in his mind, as though to swat away all of Sora’s rage. Neither of those twins seemed like they could get too angry. Well—the blond, maybe. So that must be Sora. So angry all the time, but Riku knows he would be too, so he could still be the brunet, and on and on Riku’s thoughts go. I’m sorry, he’ll repeat, and he’s not sure if he’s sorry this happened to Sora and he can’t save him, or sorry that he’s wondering this at all. I’m sorry I made you feel like you’re not enough.
The ringing stops.
Riku drops his hands and suddenly recognizes the cold. Wrapping his arms around himself, Riku shivers and blows out condensing cold air, trying to take note of where he is. Trees—ah, the forest, of course.
There’s still some light. Riku turns around and huffs. This is the last place he’d like to be found in the darkness and the last place he’d like to be found while the world keeps falling to its creatures. In short, this is one of the few places Riku likes and he can’t understand Yuu’s obsession with it. The name sends a jolt of warmth through him, the warmth of joy: Please have made it to the capital alright.
The warmth of joy is washed out with a bucket of shame: he came here to save the realm. And he spent his time wondering what Sora looked like. He spent his time aggravating him instead of freeing the realm.
And of course, Riku—the shivers rack through him violently, interrupting his thoughts—wonders what exactly is going through Sora’s mind. Telepathy isn’t enough. Riku wonders what Sora feels and what Sora actually wants to do, instead of what he says. Riku wonders so much, but that’s not important.
What’s important is the people he loves who he can’t count on one hand, who grow every single day. When he was small it was his brothers, and then it was Kairi, and then it was the town, and now it’s the realm. (And maybe, now it’s the castle. Maybe, now it’s Sora.) He can’t lose sight of that. The moment he does, that’s when he’ll be in trouble—
Riku lets out a yelp as something latches to his leg. He kicks at it, but his boots are dull and tired, and the something yanks him to the ground. Slamming to the ground without an ounce of gracefulness, Riku grabs a handful of snow and chucks it forward, alongside kicking with his free foot.
The something lets out a warbled hiss and backs off quickly, and—
Shadows.
Riku doesn’t have a weapon.
Riku scrambles to his feet and looks around. Slowly, white snow is overtaken by these creatures of the night and Riku only has a few seconds to think, and oh! Trees! They have sharp branches, don’t they?
Riku rushes out of the opening and grabs a fallen branch, the first one he grabs with no care for sharpness. He maybe should’ve cared. This one is duller than a dying light, but beggars can’t be choosers and Riku can’t be monster food.
The shadows are small enough, but Riku knows that small things can be overwhelming in larger groups. He needs to keep them down to keep an upper hand, and Riku sweeps his stick in a low arching movement, knocking three of the creatures to the ground.
They dissolve into the night and Riku dances with the night. He spins and strikes, and for a moment, there are only two more left, and he can head back to the castle and work—
A shadow claws at Riku’s leg and it tears through his slacks. Letting out a shout, Riku falls forward and quickly turns onto his back. No, no, no, he isn’t going to let these puny monsters be the death of him, not when he has so much to fight for (but how, there are so many, he can’t do this alone!)
Shadows restrain Riku’s wrists and he headbutts forward, trying to knock the closest one off balance, but all he ends up doing is flailing. What do they even want, his soul? Well, they can’t have it! Riku keeps fighting and he feels darkness suffocating him. They can’t have it, they can’t have it, they can’t have it, he needs to protect the ones who he loves, it’s getting darker and darker—
The shadow is tossed off Riku’s body and the weight is lifted from his limbs. Riku’s eyes search, dazed.
In the darkness, Riku finds something even darker; something more light than anything here. “Sora,” Riku groans. The shadows are regrouping, and Riku pushes himself up onto his elbows.
I’m sorry, Sora tells him. It seems like he’s panting; it seems like he’s human. I shouldn’t have gotten mad at you like that.
“I shouldn’t have pried,” Riku automatically says, holding his head. He's spinning. No, he's not, he's on the ground. Yet, he's spinning. Maybe he was a dancer in a past light.
No…you’re within your right, Sora begins, before turning. But shall we deal with these first?
“Probably smart,” Riku tells him, pushing himself to unsteady feet. He lurches forward and Sora is there to grab him and to hold out— “My sword!”
I had a feeling, Sora explains, holding his hands out at either side of him, that there would be trouble.
“You have some pretty good feelings,” Riku says.
I hope so. I only have so many.
Riku is about to laugh, thinking it’s a joke, until a shadow jumps at him and he needs to swing his sword down. The arch is true and it feels right, unlike the imitation called a stick. This feels right, this fight, and when the shadow is extinguished, it’s time for the next one.
The cold doesn’t bother Riku. The numbers don’t bother Riku. Nothing bothers Riku are he swings forward, accompanied only by the sound of metal, his grunting, and Sora’s loud footsteps. Sora, Riku thinks, sparing a glance or two or three or four at him.
Sora is a fighter. It’s like he was made for this, mixing between magic and physical combat. Both leave Riku reeling and for a second, Riku imagines someone else.
He imagines the boy with blond hair, back to back with him. “We’re almost there!” Riku tells Sora and Sora lets out a grunt to let him know he heard, and the two kick off each other again. The shadows keep going. But they’re bound to come. The blond is nothing but rage, nothing but—
Riku feels a wave of joy take over him, a joy that isn’t his.
Riku slices and imagines the boy with brown hair, switching spots with him. Sora’s better at large groups and Riku’s better at large shadows. The two nod to each other and they’re fighting again, and there’s almost a hop in Sora’s step, like he hasn’t fought in a while. No, he has fought.
Like he hasn’t fought with someone in a while.
Riku slams his sword down and imagines the boy with brown hair, sticking to his forehead, laughing.
The shadows are gone. Riku turns around—
And sees the Beast looking back at him.
Riku smiles at Sora.
I’m so sorry.
I wish I could save you.
I wish I could love you.
…can I?
Tumblr media
I hope you enjoyed that!!! like I said, EXTREMELY self-indulgent. I'm so sorry, your AU just gave me brain rot! I was inspired by the scene above where Belle gets attacked by wolves and the Beast comes to save her, except... well, this is Soriku, they would kick ass together!
happy holidays! thanks for a lovely prompt <3

First Valentines Day | A.C.
Tumblr media
Summary: Can I have Valentine's Day prompt 3 with Adam Cole?
One of them have never celebrated Valentines Day, so their partner tries to make it the best ever.
Find my Adam Cole Masterlist
Requested by: @adamcolesbaybay
You were dreading the fact that Valentine's Day happened to fall on a Wednesday. This was supposed to be your first real Valentine’s Day celebration. You have had boyfriends in the past, but this one was just more serious. This was an unfortunate reality of dating a wrestler.
Adam was a hot commodity after he betrayed his best friend, MJF, at World's End. The fans ate up the betrayal, and he was enjoying every second of it. Little did you know he was still thinking of surprising you.
Your dread came to a pleasant surprise the moment he asked you to accompany him to the show in Texas. Of course, you agreed. Any time you can soak up with him would be worth it.
During his segment on Dynamite, he constantly caught your eye and winked at you. His big cheesy grin plastered for the world to see. He tried to pass it off like he was happy with what was going on in the ring. You blushed, often looking away from him.
"Did you enjoy the shows?" He asked you as the two of you made it to the car.
"I'm still getting used to you in a wheelchair," you laughed. You were used to him in the crutches that he had been using to move around in for months now. "Did Roddy allow you to use that?"
"I saw the way you looked at me in the wheelchair. You were digging it," he winked. You helped him place his suitcase in the trunk of the car. He placed his crutches in the backseat and hopped to the passenger seat.
The drive to the hotel was filled with talks about the newest video games coming out. Once you parked the car at the hotel, you helped him out. A couple of fans asked for autographs in the lobby. He happily obliged. You continued towards the room, yet he called for you to wait.
A little suspicious, you waited for him to finish up with his fans. He normally allowed you to go to the room without him. The fans didn't take too much of his time. They must have been tired from the three hours of wrestling. Once they were out of ear shot, you spoke to him.
"You didn't let me go to the room without you. Do you have a surprise for me or something?" You asked and placed the room key to the lock. The lock beeped and turned green. Adam remained silent as you walked in the door.
Different colors of heart-shaped balloons took up space on the ceiling. Tea light candles lay on the floor, creating a path towards the bed. You slowly followed the path, unsure of how the man could pull all of this off.
Rose petals surrounded the bed. On the bed, roses spelled out love. Towels were shaped like swans to show them together. Two vases full of red and white roses had been placed on the nightstands. A wine chiller with your favorite wine and two crystal champagne flutes sat by one of the vases.
"I know we couldn't do much this year with my injury and work, but I wanted to spoil you," he spoke. "Happy Valentine’s Day, and thank you for everything,"
"This is beautiful," you whispered. Tears begged to fall from your eyes. "No one has ever done anything like this for me before. Thank you, Adam. I love you,"
He kissed you softly. His hands cupped your cheeks. "I'm glad you love it,"

Lloyd’s Girl 2/2 (Lloyd Hansen x tech!reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: You finally managed to crack the hard drive. Which meant that your business with Lloyd was officially over. He wasn’t letting you go with a fight, especially with Six roaming around.
Notes: GIF is not mine, all mistakes are my own, reader is Black, dark themes (stalking, murder, threats, cheating), sexual themes (oral sex- f and m receiving, fingering, slapping, p in v penetration, spit swallowing), minors DNI, there’s no Lloyd Hansen without smut am I right?
Prompt credit @tbgkaru-woh : “Is that it, or is it because you’re in love with me?”
**
You did what you promised to do. You decrypted the flash drive and Lloyd had access to everything behind the firewall. Every single black op that Dennis and Suzzane sanctioned off the books was captured and logged. Pictures, coordinates, files on the SEAL teams used. Everything. It was the biggest fuck you Fitzroy could have made.
The longer you searched through the information, the more files appeared. You left the sorting to the techs and passed out the second your head hit a pillow.
When you woke up, it was 7:32 p.m. and you made the realization that you fucked up your sleeping schedule. You let out a long breath before getting up and rummaging through your packed bag. You picked out something casual to mingle with the rest of Lloyd’s friends. If that’s what he would call them.
When you checked your phone, you saw that you had a missed call from Conrad. You called him back when you walked into the bathroom to shower. Conrad answered on the first ring. “Hey baby,” he greets. “Hi, how are you?”
Meanwhile Lloyd had called Dennis with an update. “Did you crack the drive?” Dennis asked. “Yes we did,” Lloyd starts. “Whoever did it, you make sure to keep them. They’re definitely an asset,” “Oh, I know. I called Y/N to have a go at it when my team couldn’t.”
“Smart move.. Y/N, huh?” Lloyd could practically hear the smile on Dennis’ face. “Don’t start. I’ll keep you posted for the asset retrieval,” “Copy that,” Lloyd hangs up, his ears perked when he heard your voice. He walks down the hall and slowly opened the door only to see that you were in the shower.
His face scrunched in visible disgust when he heard Conrad’s voice. You mindlessly went along with the conversations with hums and ‘oh really’s. Lloyd manspreads on the chair in the corner of the room and waited for you. You opened the door with your towel wrapped tightly under your arm and your phone up to your ear.
“I miss you,” Conrad says over the phone and your gaze fell to Lloyd in the chair. “Y/N?” Conrad says and you hummed in response. “Everything okay?” “Yeah everything’s fine, I’m just feeling a little tired.” Lloyd smiles menacingly at your lie. “Okay well I look forward to talking to you tomorrow,” Conrad says. “Me too. Bye,” “Bye,” you hang up and tossed the phone on the bed.
“‘I look forward to talking to you tomorrow’. God he’s so boring. Look at you, you’re bored with him.” Lloyd stands from the chair and stalks over to you. His eyes fell to a bead of water and trails from the back of your neck and down your chest. “Conrad is sweet and considerate and takes care of me,”
“And I don’t take care of you?” “You know what I mean,” “No, I don’t. Enlighten me.” “Life is more than just mind blowing sex, Lloyd.” “Since you think you know everything about me. Let me read you. Deep down, you’re just like me: addicted to the adrenaline of almost getting caught doing something you’re not supposed to be doing. Addicted to power,”
“Everyone is addicted to power, Lloyd.” “But not everyone is meant to have it,” “You’re all fun. And what happens when something is done being fun? You drop it. I refused to be dropped.” You tried to move away from him but he gripped your arm, hard. “You dropped me,” “Before you could drop me,” you released your arm from his grip.
He narrows his eyes at you and his chest heaved with angry breaths. “On your knees. Now. Don’t fucking test me,” you dropped to your knees and shrugged off the towel. “Get to it, kitten.” You unzipped his pants and took him out of his boxers. He licked his lips when you looked up at him, he pumped him and smeared his precum over his angry tip.
Sending a small lick to the tip, gently sucking on it and he looked down at you in annoyance. His mouth fell open when you took all of him in feeling the tip of his cock push your uvula to the side. Pulling back a little, you angled your head so the vein brushes against the roof of your mouth with every bob.
“F-fuck, I missed your mouth.” He groans, his hand found the back of your head. Licking the underside his cock, you massaged his balls. Moving your head a little faster, you hollowed your cheeks and sucked in when you pulled all the way back to his tip. He moved his hips into your mouth, both hands held the back of your head as he relentlessly fucked your face.
Laying your tongue flat out, you could hear his breathing pick up. Pulling him closer by the back of his thighs, you deep throated him. Strings of his cum painted your throat and he cursed above you when you continued to suck him well passed his orgasm.
His knees buckled and you smiled against him before finally pulling away. You wiped away your saliva with the back of your hand. “Look at you. Does Conrad know how much of a slut you are for me?” He lifted your chin and you stood back on your feet. He sat down on the bed and pulled you in his lap all in one motion.
“Hm? Does he?” You shook your head no, moaning when he separated your lips with his thumb. You sucked his thumb and nipped at it. “Do you miss me?” “Y-yes,” he gripped your throat and gave it a squeeze. You subconsciously grinded your pussy against his hardening cock and he pulls away from your throat to slap you across the face.
You slowly met his gaze, your cheek tingling a little from the impact. “You think after the shit you pulled that you get to come quickly?” He condescends. You open your mouth to say something and without warning he shoved two fingers inside of you.
His free hand found your throat again and he thrusted his fingers deep inside you, curling upwards on the way out. “Lloyd,” you moaned. “He doesn’t even make you cum, does he?” He taunts, relishing in the wet sounds of your pussy suctioning his fingers. “Answer me,” your eyes roll back when he adds a third finger and rubs your clit with his thumb.
“Fuck,” you whimpered, trying not to rock your hips otherwise you could get slapped again. You close your eyes in an attempt to focus on cumming but he stops. “Answer the fucking question, slut.” “No he doesn’t. I-I have to fake it. Oh!” “I don’t know what’s more pathetic. Him being a mediocre husband or you still staying with him,” His skilled fingers continued thrusting and curling. You gasped, digging your nails into his arms.
Your body tensed as you neared your orgasm. Then everything just stops. “You don’t deserve it,” he lifted you off his lap by your throat and tossed you on your back. He stands from the bed and pulls off his boxers. Kicking off his shoes, he looks at you with dark eyes. You rub your legs together when he slowly unbuttoned his dress shirt. He stands before you in all of his ripped, lean glory.
His hard cock hits his stomach and you pressed your legs closed to subside the throbbing. “Open,” you loosely spread your legs and he pounced on you, spreading your legs into a split and licked your pussy like a man starved. When your hand slides into his hair, he slapped your hands harder than he slapped your face.
“I’m sorry!” You croaked, tears brimming in your eyes. Your legs shook as he sucks at your sensitive nub harshly. Shifting your hips a little, Lloyd pulls away from you and slaps your bare thigh. He grips your chin and leaned in close so your noses were touching. “You don’t ever ghost me like that again. Got it?”
“I’m sor-“ he cuts you off with a kiss. You weren’t expecting the kiss to be that passionate. You hesitantly held his face, worried that he would slap you again. When he doesn’t, you deepened the kiss and pulled him closer by the neck.
Pulling away from your lips, he left kisses down your neck and your chest. He took your boobs into his hands and gave them a squeeze. He watches your back arch into his hands when he rubs your nipples with his thumbs. Lying on his stomach, he lifts your legs on his shoulders and went to work.
“Oh Lloyd,” you met his gaze when he kitten licks your clit, sending you closer and closer to your orgasm with each lick. Your body shook and tensed as you finally hit your peak. Fireworks went off behind your eyes when they fluttered closed. Your body went limp but Lloyd continued to lick and suck at you. You turned away from his mouth before he keeps you in place.
Your legs trembled on his shoulders and sent a lingering suck to your clit. Your second orgasm came over you quicker and stronger than the first one. Hitting his arms frantically to let you go before you passed out of exhaustion, he smiles against you.
Meeting his gaze once again, he teases you by sending a lick every few seconds to ignite the nerves in your puffy folds. He leans over your twitching form proudly. You could smell your slick in his breath when he says, “Open.” You opened your mouth and he send a slob of spit into the back of your throat. At which you swallowed without blinking.
“Good kitten. Now flip over.”
**
You were sound asleep, burying your face into Lloyd’s neck as he held you close to his chest. He had his eyes closed but he wasn’t asleep. Lloyd had been relishing in the passed two hours. You being here made him start thinking. He didn’t just want you. He needed you. And now that he has you, he isn’t letting you go again.
He’ll need to have a little chat with his brother, Conrad. He had two options: accept that you were Lloyd’s and move on or having a bullet between the eyes. A knock came to your door and Lloyd open his eyes. “Lloyd?” Suzzane says through the door.
“What?” “Six is here and he already took out one of your perimeter teams,” she explains. “Shit,” he pulls away from you gently so you wouldn’t wake up. He puts on his clothes and meets Suzzane outside. “Well you’re not subtle,” she adds. “I really don’t give a shit,”
A part of the building was shot by a small rocket and you had woken up to the building shaking. You sighed when you realized Lloyd was gone but the spot was still warm which meant he had just left. You scrambled to put on your clothes and comfortable shoes.
You opened the door and pulled your twists into a low ponytail. “And you, I want you posted outside Y/N’s room. Protect her with your life,” you heard Lloyd say. “What’s going on?” You spoke, making your presence known. Lloyd’s eyes snapped to you as he loaded his rifle. “Six is here, cupcake. I need you to stay here where it’s safe.”
“If Six is here, there is no place that’s safe. We need to get out of here now. You’re not going to die cleaning someone else’s mess, Lloyd.” He whispered something to his armed men and they all filed out of the room. “Who says I’m going to die?” He jokes. “I’m serious,”
“These two people took out multiple heavily armed mercenary teams. Give them the respect they’re due and leave.” “I can’t do that, cupcake.” “Why? Because of your pride? This is why women have a longer life expectancy,” he took a hand gun from his holster and gave it to you. “I’ll be back before you know it. Just keep the bed warm for me.” “No chance,”
“I had a feeling you’d say that,” he says with a chuckle before giving you a kiss and leaving the room. You watched everything through the monitors. There were too many explosions to keep track but you still managed to track Lloyd’s dress shirt through the screens.
He had jumped into the pond to swim after Six and a young girl. “Damn it, Lloyd.” You took the gun into your hand and cocked it. You ran out the front door and sprinted towards the maze. Suzzane entering the maze caught your attention.
You waited a few paces before following her. Little did you know that Dani was following the two of you. Suzzane had followed the grunts of the Lloyd and Six and the sound of water splashing.
Six had Lloyd in a headlock, leaving his abdomen exposed for a clean shot. Suzzane lifted her gun to shoot at Lloyd and you shot her from behind. She falls forward and drops her gun, bleeding out fairly quick. “Y/N!” Lloyd grunts from the lack of air and points behind you.
You saw the barrel of a gun and wrapped your hand around it to gain control. You gripped the arm attached to the gun and tucked the persons forearm under your armpit, essentially trapping her from using the gun. You elbowed her in the face twice before bending your knees and throwing her over your shoulder.
Stepping on her wrist, she eventually lets go of the gun and you kicked it away. You looked up to see that Lloyd still couldn’t get out of Six’s chokehold. “Hey!” You applied a small amount of pressure to Dani’s throat. “I can guarantee you that I can crush her trachea a lot quicker than you choke him out. Let him go.”
“What happened to Claire?” He asks. “She left her outside of the maze. She’s fine, I don’t hurt kids.” You could sense his hesitation but his grip on Lloyd loosens a bit. “Look, you can keep the asset. I never liked Dennis, and I don’t care. I just want Lloyd,” you applied more pressure to her throat, causing her to choke.
“Alright,” Six announced, releasing Lloyd. You lifted your foot from her neck and she gasped for hair as she held her neck instinctively. You lowered your gun as Six slowly moved towards Dani with his hands up. You didn’t trust him but you clicked the safety on anyway.
You walked towards Lloyd who was leaning against a broken pillar. “I got you,” you took his arm and walked him through the other side of the maze. “You remembered what I taught you,” he looked at you proudly. “And I told you we should have left,” you walked into the driveway and opened the passenger door to one of the SUVs.
Thankfully the security guys leave the keys in the middle console for a quick exit. You hopped into the drivers seat and did a three point turn out of the driveway. “Will you still love me if I only have eight fingers?” He asks, showing his bleeding left hand.
You roll your eyes at him. “You’re mad at me,” “No shit, I’m mad at you, Lloyd. You could have died.” You snap. “You killed a federal agent for me. Why?” You waited a moment before answering, “Because you’re my husband’s brother and I really don’t want to plan another funeral.” “Wrong,”
You could feel his gaze on you as he anticipates the answer he’s searching for. “Because we all went college together,” you evade. “Is that it, or is it because you’re in love with me?” Your breath caught in your throat and Lloyd noticed. You shifted in your seat and rested your right hand on the steering wheel.
“So what happens next?” He asks. “I take you to the hospital,” “And then?” “We go our separate ways,” “Wrong,” “Then what do you suggest?” “They’ll probably pin Suzzane’s death on me so I’ll have to go off grid for a while. Come with me,”
Well shit. You weren’t expecting him to say that.
Should I do a part 3?

I Love you but Jesus Christ can you just behave yourself for once
This is what happens when you message your friend and say "I think I want to write for Chibs but I don't know what to write." Bam. Multiple prompts and this mess is created! Thank you @bullet-prooflove
Chibs remembers how he first met you. The club needed some extra help in getting the latest shipment of guns out of Ireland and their alternate routes were being closed off one by one. Horses had always been a rich man’s sport and one of Ireland’s recent exports have been their eventing horses. It didn’t take much research to locate a local rider and trainer that had a couple trips to Ireland under her belt.
It was the Northern Winter Classic Grand Prix where he was supposed to meet you and discuss the terms of the agreement: they use false bottom tack boxes to stash the guns, and you get two free horses out of it. It was a sweet deal. However when we located your stable, High Flyers Farm, he found your exasperated barn manager with a fully tacked up horse that was taller than Chibs.
“I’m looking for-”
The manager interrupts him. “Yeah, me too. Our rider fell off in the warm up, dislocated her shoulder and can’t ride. We’re on deck right now in the third round of the Grand Prix and no rider.” The manager looks at him. “You don’t ride do you?”
He has ridden a horse in the past, a handful of times. He knows little of grand prix competitions, just that the goal is to jump as high and as fast as possible without nicking any of the fences. “How big are the jumps?”
“1.6 meters. Some are about 2 meters across.”
“Fuck that.” Chibs looks around the stable area. “What car does she drive?”
“That Tahoe over there, with the tinted windows.”
Chibs makes his way over there and peers into the driver’s side. There’s no one in the front seat but he sees a healthy collection of vodka bottles on the passenger side floorboards. There’s a slight movement in the backseat so he opens the back door and finds you, curled up in the back bench seat, passed out drunk.
“Found her,” he calls to the manager, who looks on from the front of the stable.
“Fuck. Can she stand?”
“Stand?” Chibs asks. “She’s not even fucking conscious!”
“She’s the only one who can ride this horse! We have a chance to win a $65,000 pot!”
This is not how he saw the negotiation going at all. He reaches into the backseat and grabs fistfuls of your clothes and hauls you out of the backseat. You land in a heap on the ground and groan at the sudden onslaught of sunlight.
“Mornin, lass.”
“The fuck are you?”
He grabs your arms and hauls you up to your feet and leans you against the side of the SUV. “Someone who’s seriously doubting his plan.”
Your bleary eyes roam over his face and down to the patches on his kutte. You poke a shaky finger against the “A” and laugh. “Anarchy. How fucking adorable.”
Chibs turns to the manager who just shrugs. “The horse’s name is Anarchy.”
You take in a deep breath and release it slowly. “Let me guess, Mara fell off again and hurt herself?”
“Yeah,” the manager answers.
“How many away are we?”
“We’re on deck.”
You nod and stand up straight. “Send Alex up to the gate, tell them we have an injured rider and need to be moved down two spaces. If they give him a hard time, slip them $200.”
“And where are you going?” Chibs asked.
“I have to get dressed so I can ride the fucking thing.”
The manager moves off, calling to a teenager who takes off running towards the ring. Chibs turns to you as you start pulling out boots and a show jacket. “And just how are you going to ride that monster? You’re falling down drunk!”
You laugh slightly as you shrug the jacket over your wrinkled blouse. “Because, I’m a fucking professional.”
And you were right. Once you were on top of that horse, you were steady as they came. You flew around that ring, sailing over the fences. After the clouds of dust had settled, the clock had shown that you had the top time. An hour later, after the last horse went, your time was still the one to beat. You were back to being passed out in the tack room and it was your barn manager that collected the $65,000 cash prize. But by that point, you had agreed to the deal and signed off on it.
When the time to travel to Ireland rolls around, he’s gotten to know you a little more. You are, hands down, a functional alcoholic. You’re an adrenaline junkie with a wild streak and not much of a filter. So when you both get on the plane and you’re already ordering drinks while the plane still sits on the tarmac, he just laughs and shakes his head.
“Ya know, I love ya, lass. But Jesus Christ, can you just behave yourself for once?”
You give him that wild look and wink at him. “We’ve got a long flight ahead of us. Where’s the fun in that?”

Roommates prompts: falling asleep on the couch together (and being very flustered at their positions in the morning)
I'VE WRITTEN THE THING!
Thank you for this! It's kinda more a temporary accidental roommate vibe but its sweet and cute and filled with panicked gay feelings xD
Judy x V (Cyberpunk 2077)
--
Inviting V to spend the night at her place hadn’t been Judy’s plan that first night. Or the night after, or the night after.
But the drive from Charter St in Kabuki to the other side of Little China was a pain, especially night after night, and V just looked so damn tired all the time. The circles seemed to get darker under her eyes each time she showed up at Judy’s door and the way she always picked up the phone no matter what time Judy called had to mean she wasn’t sleeping deep.
Last time it had been three in the morning, when she hadn’t been able to stop thinking about Evelyn, imagining her just down the hall, bloody and cold and dead. Her apartment had closed in around her and she’d paced her room like a feral animal, clawing at the walls but unable to face passing by that room.
‘Sides, going into Night City at that hour was a surefire way to lose all your eddies and personal belongings at best, your entire life at worst. Judy was miserable, not suicidal.
She didn’t have anyone to call other than V. That restless pain in her wanted to be soothed in only the unique way only V could. Typing out a text message was impossible, there was no way she could articulate exactly what it was she needed. She didn’t know what she needed.
And she hadn’t expected V to answer.
For 3am, V had been alert. Her quick answer, her face popping up on the holo after barely one ring, had been enough to jar Judy into sitting down for the first time that night. From the looks of it, V was curled up on her cough, her cheek pillowed on her forearm, even if there was no sleepiness in her voice.
That first, “What’s up, Judy?” had been a soothing wash over her fraying state of mind and she’d taken a deep breath. One that hadn’t meant to quiver just like her voice wasn’t supposed to wobble as she’d tried to joke that she hadn’t expected V to pick up and was just going to leave a voice mail.
Something about that had made V heave herself up from her couch, saying she’d be over at her place ASAP.
Kabuki was a thirty minute drive from Little China. Judy didn’t question it when V was at her door in fifteen with take-out from the questionable 24/7 shop nearby. She just stepped to the side, holding open the door, and let V sweep in like she was always meant to be here.
That had been four days ago, and V had been back at her place every night despite Judy’s half hearted protests that she really didn’t need to.
She stayed until Judy fell asleep in the early morning hours and was always gone by morning, a note left on the counter in V’s awful handwriting and coffee ready to brew in the pot.
And everytime without fail, when Judy called about their ongoing plans, V picked up on the first ring.
By the time they wrapped up planning their assault on Clouds and the dolls  had left, V was swaying in her spot on the couch.
She made to stand, mumbling something about how she should go, and Judy tugged her back down. Way more forceful than she’d intended.
V tumbled back against the touch cushions with a grunt. Something was up, her eyes had glazed over partway through their planning and she’d excused herself to the bathroom as a coughing fit had nearly doubled her over. She hadn’t bounced back since.
“Just want to crash here tonight, V?” Judy dropped her hold on V’s wrist like the skin-to-skin contact burned. Was it weird to ask? What if V was sick of staying here and just wanted her own apartment back?
She tacked on before V could get a word in, “It’s late and I know you’ve been making that drive back and forth…”
“Mmph, don’t wanna intrude. It’s not that bad of a drive.”
Oh hell, maybe Judy keeping V up at all hours of the day and dragging her out here every night meant V was coming down with something. Guilt washed over her at the prospect. So many other big, important gigs V had on her plate and it would be Judy’s personal shit that would get her sick.
Judy looked V up and down, “I think I’d rather you not drive back right now.”
That felt too serious, too concerned for…whatever it was that they were. The merc she hired, who’d become something like a friend. The very attractive merc with the tattoos and the bright, bubbling laugh and--
She was staring; she ripped her eyes away from V, “Erm, yeah, kinda need you for this job so…makes sense for you to just stay.”
“Can’t argue with that I guess.” V sighed and curled up on her side, sinking into the cushions.
She was asleep before Judy even had a chance to say goodnight.
**
Judy froze when V’s sleepy grip found the hand tracing the ink on her arm and pulled her over onto V’s body instead, pivoting them so V was on her back. She tried to pull away, but V’s grip was surprisingly strong, and she relaxed into it. She settled against V’s chest and V curled around Judy, arm slung low over her back.
V breathed deeply once she felt Judy relax and nuzzled her neck, nose buried in her hair.
She had a feeling this was the first time V had fallen fully asleep in awhile. She was dead to the world as Judy squirmed for a moment, adjusting and questioning whether she should pull away.
Judy let herself melt against V. Their breath mingled and Judy could almost pretend that this was completely normal, that her brain wasn’t screaming, and that this wouldn’t all dissipate in the morning.
She didn’t have half the reason to worry over V so damn much right now. This was V, dependable V. Who thought nothing about coming over to Judy's house in the middle of the night and who would think nothing of this.
V, who looked at her like she was the best thing in Night City.
She shifted so that her head fell against V’s shoulder and took another deep breath. A few more minutes, that's what she'd give herself. Then she'd get up, grab a blanket for V from the hallway closet, and sequester herself away in her room before she made things all the more complicated.
A few minutes, she reminded herself, before V woke up and felt the way Judy’s heart was hammering out of her chest and how hot her face was. Before Judy had to come up with a series of lame excuses as to why they were in this position.
She tried to focus on anything other than the fact that V smelled good, like the coffee she'd spilled earlier after gulping it down, and felt warm and comfortable.
The soft hum of V’s breath in her ear and the slow rise and fall of her chest pulled Judy's eyelids down. They might wake up early tomorrow and Judy was going to be embarrassed, but her body was too heavy to move.
Days upon days of exhaustion settled down on Judy all at once and she didn’t even mean to when sleep pulled her under completely.
*
Unusual warmth registered first, before Judy even opened her eyes. Warm against her chest, her back; a steady, comforting weight draped over her lower back.
Mind still muddled, she chased that warm, nuzzled closer to it. The warmth tugged her closer, that weight against her lower back tightening like muscled arms.
Arms…it’d been so long since she’d been held in the mornings. What a pleasant dream.
Her nose brushed against skin that still smelled faintly of coffee, and beneath it the rich, leather and gunmetal scent that always meant V.
V. Judy went rigid, eyes shooting open.
Though she was no longer snuggled on V’s chest, V was laying beside her, her arm draped over Judy’s side. They were tangled together, legs intertwined, and up until now Judy’s face had been buried in the crook of her neck.
In one swift motion, Judy twisted away from her, nearly tumbling off the edge of the couch.
V awoke more peacefully at her movement, the deep blue of her eyes clouded by sleep still and half lidded. Her hair was an absolute mess, half of it sticking up while her bangs were mused and tangled.
Judy squished down the thought that she wanted to run her fingers through that hair, straighten it out. She pushed that thought deep, deep down. Already her face was flushing, cheeks burning so hot she was certain her skin would melt away.
They stared at each other for several moments, neither moving or speaking. The air between them crackled with tension. Finally, V blinked, the dark circles under her eyes looking deeper than usual. She sat up slowly, stretching and groaning softly. The light caught just right, the muscles in her forearms flexing as she rose.
Her shirt rode up her stomach and Judy forced herself not to look. Even though she could see the edge of a tattoo peeking out from the exposed waistband of her jeans.
“Morning, Judy,” V drawled with a yawn, smiling lazily and stretching, rolling her shoulders, popping her back. “Sleep well?”
Judy nodded. The words wouldn't come out.
How was V so nonchalant about this? That they’d fallen asleep entangled the way lovers do?
Horror dawned over Judy and her skin burned, prickling. Did V even know they’d fallen asleep like that? She’d slept so deeply that Judy wasn’t even sure she’d been coherent when she’d tugged Judy onto her.
 Did V remember?
Was she supposed to fess up?
Why did Judy have to be so goddamn awkward? She couldn’t take her eyes off that naked sliver of V's torso. She watched as V stretched again, arms reaching towards the ceiling and fingers splayed wide as she rotated slowly.
“Earth to Judy, you okay there?” V asked. She gave Judy a searching look, "Look like you're fightin' demons over there."
“No no, sorry, just thinking,” Judy said, forcing herself to look away.
V seemed to accept the answer at face value and flopped back against the pillows behind her, sighing and running her hands up her face.
"Think that's the best I've slept in weeks."
Judy swallowed hard and said, "Yeah,”
The clock blinked barely six thirty, “I mean - it's not even seven yet. You’ll stay for breakfast if you want?"
V perked up again, looking far happier than Judy would have expected. "I won’t say no to that!”
Anything to get off this couch and away from the distracting curves of V’s body, the temptation to fall back against her and give into everything that whispered in the back of Judy’s mind when it came to the merc.
“Coffee sounds great right about now.” V made to get up and without thinking, Judy planted her hand on V’s shoulder.
“I’ll make it, you stay here.” She scampered to her feet before she could think twice.
V sighed behind her but planted herself back on the couch without more protest.
But when Judy glanced over her shoulder, V was staring after her with unfocused eyes, cheeks a flaming, bright pink.
Shit.
She remembered.

27 with Agatha and whoever you want?
Thank you for sending this in, dear anon! I enjoyed writing for this prompt, it gave me the opportunity to write for an idea that's been bouncing around my head for months now.
✧—»•«—✧
"It aches, so deeply. I ache, so deeply. And when I'm with you, I don't. I feel whole. Complete." You fidget with your hands as you admit, "I feel your absence in everything that I do alone, in every place I go without you. I always have, ever since we met."
Agatha looks away from your eyes, as if it's painful to see how earnest and truthful you're being.
"I'm not good for you, buttercup." Her tone is flat, which means she's desperately trying to hide behind the mask that always seemed to be so flimsy when it's just the two of you. "I've changed. You've been gone for a long time."
"That wasn't my fault."
Agatha closes her eyes for a brief moment as she lets out a long breath. "I never said it was."
"Then why are punishing me for something I couldn't help? I never wanted to leave. I didn't get a choice when-"
"I know." A crack, finally. A weakness.
"Is that what this is about? Did you think that she sent me away from you for my own good?"
"Yes." Suddenly Agatha's eyes are boring into the depths of your soul, blue fire alight from within. "Why else would she have done that? She approved of us being together, goddess knows it's about the only thing she approved of when it came to me, and she didn't-" She breaks off, cuts herself short. "She didn't send you away until she realized I had been practicing dark magic." Agatha's voice is small, and in a single instant she seems to have shrunk, curling in on herself as if making herself smaller would protect her from things that have long since came to pass.
"She didn't just snap her fingers, Agatha." You say. "She made sure to go into excruciating detail about her reasoning behind her decision. How it's my fault, because I was supposed to encourage you to be a better person, to shun what came so naturally to you it was like denying you air when you tried to avoid it. How in actively giving you a safe space to find someone to love you, even if you practiced and became versed in the unthinkable, I condemned us both." You shake your head, a small, hysterical laugh bubbling up. "She knew then. She knew she was going to try to kill you. And she tried to lay the blame at my feet, telling me if I hadn't changed your perspective on that of which was forbidden, she'd never had to take such drastic measures."
"It doesn't change anything." Agatha insists.
"Of course it does." You snap. "Don't tell me you're allowing your long dead mother to manipula-"
"It's not manipulation when it was the truth!" Agatha's voice rings in the sudden silence. "Mother was right. I can't possibly be good, not when my magic finds it's call in such twisted vileness. You think you know, but you don't. We were young, hopeful and idealistic, but above all else, exceedingly stupid." The last word is spat out, disgust dripping from it. "I have killed more people than the years that have passed for you. I have harmed innocents and sown discord and ruin. You don't get to tell me that I can be good when I've long since fulfilled Mother's prophecy about me." Agatha then holds up long, black stained fingers.
"Fine, then." You say. "You're bad. Congratulations, you have as much of a moral back bone as a chocolate eclair. Guess what, dumbass? That still isn't a good enough reason for me to walk away from you."
Agatha opens her mouth, then shuts it, before opening it again.
"I'm walking away from you." She says, stumbling over the words.
"No, you're not." You sigh. "Agatha, admit it. You can't help but want me to stay, but you're so fucked up, you don't think you deserve anything good. But you can't make a decision for me."
Agatha's eyes are suddenly like steel. "Of course I can. I'm telling you, I don't want to have anything further to do with you."
You can tell she wants it to hurt, and it does, but the fact she hasn't just teleported away betrays her. That and-
"Then why did you fuck me the night I returned?"
Agatha colors.
"A moment of weakness and poor judgment."
You smirk. "Oh, yes. Because you and I both know how deeply you regret having mind blowing sex."
"I-" Agatha looks away, swallowing. "That's not fair."
"You're not being fair." You step closer to her, gently reaching out for her arms. "Agatha," you say softly. "I love you. It's that simple. And you can turn me away, you can never see me again, but that won't change how I feel about you. The only thing your denying us is going to cause is pain, for both sides."
And suddenly, her head thunks down onto your shoulder, her hands coming up to clutch at your shirt material.
"It's not fair." She whispers. "I'm trying to protect you."
"Can't you see?" You beg. "You don't have to push me away to protect me. All I want is for you to allow yourself to love me back."
Her hands tighten and her shoulders shake, and you know she's fighting back tears if she hasn't already lost to them.
"I do love you." Her voice is wet, burdened. "That's why I can't-"
"You can."
Silence follows your declaration.
"Please, Agatha. I don't think-" Your voice breaks. "I don't think I can survive without you anymore."
There's more silence, until-
"If I ever hurt you, in any way, I need you to be able to protect yourself from me."
You open your mouth to protest, but then shut it, thinking about what Agatha is offering.
You hesitate.
"Perhaps," you start. "It would better if we simply agreed to essentially start over. Relearn one another."
Agatha pulls away, and it's then your realize as cool air hits the wet patch on your shoulder that she had been silently crying the entire time she had her head buried against you, though there's no trace of tears anywhere on her face.
"I need you to promise me you'll learn how to protect yourself and demonstrate your willingness to first." She replies firmly.
"From you."
"Yes." She pauses. "I'm dangerous, angel. It's just a fact. My greatest fear is losing control of myself and harming you. I need the reassurance that you won't let me if I try."
"Oh."
When she puts it like that...
"I suppose I could agree to that."
Her entire body sags with relief.
"Thank you." She roughly whispers, before giving into what you both desire, yanking you by your shirt, pulling you into a searing kiss, sealing your agreement.
"I love you." She says against your lips.
"And I, you." You reply, before kissing her once more.

I KNOW THIS IS REALLY VAGUE BUT CAN YOU WRITE A PHONE SEX PROMPT WHERE ROSIE SAYS THE LINE "SHH BABY, MOMMY'S RIGHT HERE" PLEASE PLEASE
I feel so so gross and unloved rn so lowkey thanks for this <3
Tw/ panic attack </3
——
Denali sat in the dark closet, her knees tucked to her chest while she tried to focus on the smell of Rosé’s sweaters that surrounded her, brushing her cheeks with their cashmere softness.
She knew since yesterday that Rosé would be home late that night and she had every chance to do something to pull herself out of the dark place she found herself plummeting to the second she walked through the door and there was no Rosé to kiss her or to hold her hand through dinner or to just make her feel less alone. Denali felt so alone, their two bedroom apartment too roomy for just her.
It was then she let herself begin to cry, a few stray tears turned into salt streams down her cheeks, gentle sniffles turned to heaving breaths while she fought to fill her lungs with air. Without Rosé there it felt like she was completely alone in the world, and she really supposed she was. No one would protect her from being crushed as the four walls around her closed in on her, boxing her in and making it harder and harder to breathe.
••
Rosé sighed as she trudged up the stairs to her and Denali’s apartment, it was just before midnight and she could feel exhaustion seeping into her bones. She hadn’t really wanted to go out with her coworkers but she declined again and again, so she felt she had to at least once to save face and pretend that she didn’t prefer to be alone with Denali in their little cozy apartment where they built a life, just one night out without her proved that as Rosé drove home tapping her fingers against the steering wheel impatiently at every stop light.
She walked into the dark living room, kicking off her shoes and shrugging off her coat, assuming Denali was already asleep. She kept quiet as she tip toed to the bedroom, ready to fall into bed beside her love.
It took her back when she entered the bedroom and the bed was still perfectly made, not a Denali or Donut in sight.
“Denali?” She called to no avail, the only answer she got was was the clack of Donut’s nails against the tiled bathroom floor, yawning as she stretched.
“Hi, Donie,” she cooed, “where’s Nali, huh?”
Donut whined, turning her head toward the closet and wagging her tail.
“Is she in there?” Rosé asked like the dog would answer her, “hmm, let’s go check.”
Rosé switched on the bathroom light and opened the closet door, using the light that seeped in to scan the area. At first, she thought the closet was empty, but then in the corner where her sweaters hung, Denali was curled up in a ball, fast asleep. Brows furrowed together with concern, Rosé crept closer, noticing how her cheeks were stricken with tears, dry salt white streams dirtied her soft cheeks.
“Oh sweet girl,” Rosé cooed softly, placing a tentative hand on her shoulder.
Denali mustn’t have been in too deep a sleep because the second Rosé touched her, she jumped, scooting away from her and whimpering.
“Denali? It’s me, baby, it’s Rosie,” she said.
Hiding her face in the sleeve of one of the sweaters, Denali shook her head violently. “No, please-“
“Honey, it’s me, I won’t hurt you. Please, let me see you.”
“Please, go. My girlfriend is out but she’ll be home soon, please-“ she cried.
It scared Rosé how out of it Denali was, the only other time she’d seen her like that was after she passed out from a particularly bad panic attack, when she woke she was dazed and confused, still stuck in a state of panic. Rosé’s heart dropped at the thought of Denali passing out in here, all alone and scared, falling backwards because she couldn’t catch her breath.
“It’s me, sweetheart, I promise. Here,” she said, barely above a whisper, wiggling the ring she wore from her finger, “take this. Look at yours, they’re the same because it’s me, Rosé.”
Denali took the ring, still hiding her face, but she studied it in her hand, comparing it to the one she wore on a chain around her neck. Inside the band, their initials and anniversary were engraved.
“R-Rosé,” she whimpered, pushing herself out of the dark little corner she hid herself in, “mommy?”
“Yes, darling, it’s mommy. What happened, sweet girl?”
Crawling out from behind the sweaters, Rosé nearly gasped when she saw her, a darkening bruise on her forehead, a cut with dried blood smack in the middle of it. She had to have passed out and hit her head on one of the shelves, there was no doubt in Rosé’s mind now.
“Oh pumpkin, you poor thing. Come here,” Rosé sniffed, guilt and shame eating away at her.
Tentatively, Denali crawled over to her, recognition finally settling over her face as she reached for Rosé, crying and muttering. Taking her in her arms, Rosé held her as close as she could, bracketing her in her arms while she sobbed.
“Shhh, baby, mommy’s right here. I’m right here, baby, I’m not going anywhere.”
“Mommy, help me, please,” she sobbed, her heart hammering in her chest that pressed against Rosé’s.
“Baby, you’ve got to breathe, you’re gonna pass out again or make yourself sick.”
“I-I can’t, I can’t, I can’t!”
“Okay, okay, shhh, just let mommy hold you then,” Rosé soothed, petting her hair.
She held her close and tight, applying pressure in all the places she needed it until Denali finally started to calm down some.
In a slow but sure process, Denali’s sputtering turned into hiccups pressed against Rosé’s shoulder but at the very least she wasn’t yelling anymore and she wasn’t so red in the face.
“Can we get you into bed, baby, please? You’ll be safer in there.”
Denali nodded and let Rosé lift her off the ground, carrying her effortlessly into bed where she was situated right in between Rosé’s legs, arms wrapped around her.
“Momma,” Denali whimpered pitifully, “I’m sorry.”
“Oh, don’t be, baby, you have absolutely nothing to be sorry for. I’m sorry I wasn’t there.”
Denali shook her head. “ ‘M stupid.”
“No, of course you’re not. You’re my love, you know that, don’t you? That I love you more than anything else in this whole world.”
Squirming, Denali moved so she was straddling Rosé’s thighs, tangling her arms around her and pressing her face in her neck. “I love you too, I’m so-“
“No,” Rosé stopped her, “no more ‘sorry’s’. Can you tell me what happened?”
“I-I just got home from the rink and I-I felt so alone. I hadn’t felt so alone since-since before you and I just, I freaked out. I just wanted to hide for a little bit but-“
Rosé nodded in understanding. “You panicked?”
“Yeah,” Denali squeaked, embarrassed.
“My poor baby,” Rosé sympathized, stroking her cheek, “can I help you out some? First, we’ll take care of your head and then I can make you some cereal. I bet you didn’t have supper, did you?”
Ashamed, Denali shook her head.
“It’s okay, honey, I bet that’s why you passed out. You’ve gotta eat, even if you’re feeling anxious.”
“I know, I just-“
“Shhh, you don’t need to explain yourself, just let mommy help you, can you do that? First, your head, then, dinner, then I’ll help you get ready for bed?”
Denali nodded, inelegantly wiping her face with her sleeve. “Okay, mommy.”
Rosé kissed her temple, mindful of the bruise that was spreading across her delicate skin. “Good girl, I don’t want you lifting a finger until tomorrow, okay? Let momma take care of everything.”

I Don't Need Healing
Written for DabiHawks week 2023 Day 7 Prompt: Supernatural Creatures Fandom: BNHA/ MHA Characters: Dabi & Hawks Words: 792 Summary: Hawks is a bird only found in mythology. He was being used against his will for the greater good then one day Dabi comes along
Hawks huffed as he flew away from the children’s hospital as fast as he could, he had to get rid of this sickness. Kids were relying on him, and a shock from the collar around his neck, made him drop in the air for only a second.
Finally, in the designated empty field he was able to fly towards the sun to get rid of the sickness, curing at least five children from the hospital.
His phone buzzed with the next location as he sighed and started to fly back toward the city. He made it to the city center, and right as he ran out of fuel, a shock once again made him fall, but this time he wasn't able to stop it.
“You okay?” a foot nudged him.
Hawks could feel how hurt the person was. He felt the need to take the sickness away, but being so low on fuel he didn’t have the energy, instead groaning and letting his body shut down.
“Okay this is just sad,” the man said as Hawks felt arms lift him up and carry him to an unknown destination.
“Alright try and open up,” the man said after Hawks has been sitting down for a few minutes, opening his mouth as what must be soup went into his mouth. “Slow bites,” the man said, as Hawks felt the buzzing in his pocket, his hand inching to grab it, but the man stopped him.
“Whoever it is ignore them. They are not as important as your health,” but the fear of a shock coming helped pushed Hawks to grab the phone. Right as he was able to grasp it the phone stopped ringing and dread filled his stomach.
Without warning shocks began to ripple through his body making him scream in pain.
“Shit!” Hawks could hear the guy say as he felt the collar being ripped from his neck, letting him pass out from the pain.
Hawks woke up to a scarred man looking down on him, it felt like he was on a cloud.
“Glad to see you’re away,” the man said.
“You’re sick,” Hawks replied the same need to take the sickness away invading his mind, shaking his head he didn’t think about it. He can control his instincts.
“I don’t know about sick, but I am what people call heavily injured,” the man shrugged as Hawks finally took a look around the room.
“Where am I?”
“My place. Found you passed out in an alleyway. You were trying to go somewhere, but you couldn’t physically move. I decided to help you. Saw that hell of a collar on you and broke it. So what’s up with you?” the man asked.
“You took the collar off?” Hawks asked, touching his neck, feeling healing shock wounds around his neck.
“Yep. You passed out instantly after it started going off. Been asleep for a week now.”
“A week!?” Hawks asked shocked, sitting up in a panic as thoughts went through hs head.
“Hey calm down! Nothing bad is going to happen. I already trashed your phone. Nothing is going to happen to you,” the man promised.
“But people die without me!” Hawks said panicked.
“People die either way. It’s okay to leave someone else with the responsibility.”
“What am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go?” Hawks asked.
“You could always stay here and live your life,” the man shrugged. “I’m Dabi by the way.”
“Oh um I’m Hawks,” the blonde smiled.
“So why do these crazy people want you?” Dabi asked, passing the blonde a drink.
“I’m something called a Caladrius. I can take people’s illnesses away and dispel it. I was being sent to cure a children’s hospital,” Hawks shrugged.
“While that’s nice you were killing yourself in the process. Hate to say it, but that won’t slide here. I like my roommates to be alive,” Dabi said as a feeling Hawks has never felt before formed in his stomach making it churn. He couldn’t decide if it was good or bad.
“I think I can work with that,” Hawks smiled and thus the two started to live together.
“I can take the pain away?” Hawks whispered one night, they’ve been living together for a few months now.
“No thanks Birdie. I need it so I can remember,” Dabi said back, dropping the subject. Hawks never understood what Dabi meant, but he would respect the wishes as long as his friend wasn’t dying from it.
“I do appreciate the thought. Maybe one day I’ll take you up on it,” Dabi smiled, letting the two go back to sleep.
“Maybe one day I’ll be able to pay you back for everything you’ve done,” Hawks said back, going back to sleep.

Happy Halloween!🎃✨
May you meet Death today?
Made for the one and only @toguchindraws , hope you like it!
(got a bit carried while writing and finished doing three whole different versions about your prompt; also got a bit too long, I guess? Sorry for any mistakes; I tried my best to make sure everything is right and make sense, since it`s been a while I`ve wrote something other than essays in english.)

“When darkness falls across the land, the world turns upside down, in a mysterious lullaby;where death, his angels and other devils are all wandering out here  just waiting for lost souls.....”
Christine "Chrissy" Cunningham or as her boyfriend Jason calls, "Chris" always has some kind of "other side" problems. She could see when a kind of shadow with no actual form, started following people and when this happened; a few days or even a month later (just once, the most long and successful witnessed by her) the said person would die.
She started seeing them after her grandfather, by mom's side, passed away.
At just the age of eight years old, remembers vividly how in peace he looked, when he closed his eyes and the shadow came out by the wall on the side of his bed at the hospital; just stretched his hand in the direction of his body and a second later with a blink, disappeared and the machinery started beeping.
The following days passed like a blur, she remembers telling her mother about this and she didn't care; probably thinking this was just her daughter`s imagination and when her grandpa's funeral happened she saw more of these shadows gluing themselves into the adults steps. Gradually, she started seeing them more often to a point where predicting bad things happening around became easy as breathing.
When turned fifteen, she noticed there were some kind of dogs or wolves as they seemed to look, with various sizes just as big as cars and little as sheeps, with dark red glowing eyes. They could see her staring and usually would just sniff at the direction she was walking by , but never exactly bothered to come close or chase….
Tumblr media
1986
Well, this was her year of graduation and everything was running smoothly - thank you very much - except today, for three single-headed and weird facts:
Waking up to a crow screeching in her window, he had red scarlet eyes and let out a scream before flying to somewhere;
Missing the bus to school;
Suddenly and without a thought accepting a ride from this dude who could be a psycho killer by the looks and his expensive car (a damn Chevy Bel Air 1955 Black and Chrome, that she only knew because of mr. Richard Harrington; who lives ten blocks away driving one around when he's on town)
Well, maybe this was supposed to be her bad day; the Universe surely loves her to make this happen! anyway, she trailed off in thought until hearing the dude at the driver wheel (to whom she didn't trade a single word with since entered the car, could swear was some kind of vampire by the pale-white skin tone and didn't even introduced herself) started speaking in this low and bewitching voice.
- Miss Christine Cunningham, what a beautiful day; don`t you agree?- his voice sounded kinda emotionless while eyeing her with a knowing smirk- guess I wasn't supposed to be here to take you. - Chrissy`s head started ringing a bell at this sentence and she almost broke her neck, turning her head too fast to look at him entirely - But my curiosity just took the best of me, I guess…
At this moment he stopped in front of the school and looking through the window, there was no living soul walking around with also a weird mist, blocking some spaces of the outside view. Which was surely weird because she saw the bus passing by and right that her house is the last stop, before the bus goes directly to school and the mist was just weird; surely there weren't any drop in temperature and the sun was shining very bright today when leaving home.
Okayyyyyy….
Maybe this was her year of death and not the perfect-graduation-before-marrying-her-high school-sweetheart, but at least was going to be happy very far from her abusive mother and ignorant/absent father kind of freedom. Except for the fact she traced her brother's fate and will let him suffer the same twisted shit as her. It's too late to regret now, she can only pray that some other biggest force helps him.
The man started laughing (this cute half sweet and funny, kind of) and she may have or may not hold her breath; while lost in thoughts waiting for him to recompose himself after getting out of her own head.
- I'm sorry - he says with a shining and charming smile, before turning to look at her (maybe she went crazy today, but his eyes were a red scarlet like the dogs but with a gleam of knowledge like the crow at her window this morning, at least for a second seemed). With a blink his eyes were this chocolate brown, but the gleam stood there, he seemed to devour every detail of her avidly. He just offered his hand to her and when she went for a handshake, he took her hand making the way to his lips and leaving a little kiss at the back - I`m sorry - he seems to say this word way too much - my lady; but how impolite of me, to not present myself correctly to such a sweet woman as you! - he still held her hand, but the compliments and too formal way of speaking made her heart beat faster, with a little bit of red showing on her cheeks.
 - I am Anubis, guardian of the underworld and one of death's angels…
 - WHAT?!?- Chrissy just bursts out, before containing herself and now scared with all her being. While the supernatural being in front of her just seems to enjoy her reaction and waits patiently for her to calm down.
- Exactly what you heard, my lady; - she still can't believe this dude looking like a rockstar, seemingly to just have got out of one of those magazines such as Rolling Stone is THE egyptian God of underworld and afterlife. Well, it's just like this old saying: “Never doubt a bad event, cause things tend to get way worse; faster than a blink of an eye”. Maybe she's just hallucinating the whole thing? She pinch her leg and yep, this hurts and she's surely awake.
 - Okay, so…. What exactly do you want from me? I mean, I`m just a mortal as you can see and I don't exactly have anything to offer out of the ordinary. - he raises his hand as a signal for her to stop speaking.
- Lady Cunningham, I know you; I've heard enough from the shadows, so many stories of you to just make me curious enough to plan, want to come out of my house and meet you personally. My subordinates are amazed by the fact you can see them and always wanted to come closer and speak with you; but that`s explicitly against our most ancient and important rules. I deeply apologize on behalf of them, if they ever scared you or even chased you around; they just didn't know what to do or how to react to you seeing them, unlike all the other people.- he never let go of her hand while speaking and seemed disappointed after speaking about this essentially -  But, even breaking the rules death gave us and all,  I'm here to also make an offer….. - he looks directly to her like there`s nothing except her soul and could read her deepest secrets without even thinking too much.
She is still scared, not only because he's an egyptian god but because the world out of this space seems to have stopped the clock of time and is very empty.
- Eternity is something so boring, especially if you can't be seen by other people; so, what I want to offer you is very simple: you can spend some time and keep me company, when you're free from your obligations and in return I can give you rides to anywhere, at anytime - and there it was, the glint but this time; seems like some kind of trap or especially making a deal with the devil himself in exchange for her soul. - So, what do you say?
Well, this wasn't exactly what she had in mind when he offered a ride to school (more like a murder, to be more exactly). But at least he seems to be good even being a powerful god and seems lonely. Well at least she wasn`t trading her soul for some crap and maybe even win a true friend (who knows?);
- Deal. So I can pet the dogs, crows or whatever they are now and they will not try to kill me? - He tried to mask his laugh with a cough and it didn't work.
- By Ra`s sunglasses! PLEASE, tell me you didn't try to pet any of them? - he teased softly and humorously.
- Yeah, I did when I was nine, but it was JUST once!- Chrissy tried to hide her blushed cheeks and failed- So, you have a deal and I want to know, how will you contact me? and if we're gonna hang out, we`ll need a new name for you. Anubis is weird for literally anyone, except if it's a dog- he seems concentrated and trying to find an answer to both questions. Then he seems to remember something, searches his pockets, until he finds a ring inside his jacket and asks for her hand again with a gesture.
-Have you ever heard the story of a place called Hamunaptra?-she shakes her head in a silent “no” - It's an ancient city; now it's buried and forgotten in the Sahara sands; used to be my domain and was called the City of the Dead, used to be the house to my bracelet; An antique necropolis which was the final rest to pharaohs and their families. - he puts a golden ring with the format of a scorpion, with a jackal head with his sting ready to attack, in her middle finger - this is a little copy of my bracelet, with it you can summon me or go to any place where I am. - he gives her a little proud smile, while she just admires the ring and traces its form with the fingertips; before putting her own hand in chest and enjoying this warm feeling of matter to someone. But she fastly snaps out of her short trance to ask:
- What about your name?  we`re still stuck here. - sounding a bit impatient and worried, he just shakes his hand dismissing her worries.
- Well, that's the easiest part; you can choose any name you want and it's fine with me. - she then remembers why she thought he looked a bit familiar, he seems almost identical to this man….but what was his name? Oh, yes! Eddie Van Halen. She snaps her fingers after remembering this. He stares at her like she's plotting some miraculous plan and waits for her to say something.
- Okay, so you`re gonna be Eddie. An old friend who lives in Chicago and is moving to Hawkins? - she looks at him to confirm and he nods a short “yes”.
- Sooo….- she tries to think of something else, like a thank you. But remain silent and just discard this thought. - See you tomorrow afternoon after cheer practice? - she smiles happy and he does the same.
- Yes,surely my lady! - he answers kinda excited - Oh! and I almost forget, just touch the sting of the ring three times and I will come as fast as I can to where you are. - he says, shaking his head a bit. He then snapped his fingers and smiled like a little kid, who just did something without the parents knowledge. - Now, you`re ready to go to your class and back to everyone, before they just panic.
With this, just as the world was waiting for a command to come back to normal. The sun shines once again softly against her face and all the mist slowly dissolves herself into thin air. She just lets out a heavy sigh of relief and opens the door, gets out and closes. Before going into the school building, she turns one last time and sees Anubis, or better, as he would be called now ; “Eddie” with the passenger window now open, sending a short goodbye with his hand. After she does the same, he yells:
- Say goodbye to Jason for me! - he uses his hand as a megaphone -  because he's literally not going to live enough to see tomorrow comin` - and as fast as he can; he just rolls up the window again, turns to the exit of the parking lot and goes away. While Chrissy is just standing there, in shock, not having processed the last sentence he just dropped on her; while watching the black Bel Air getting smaller in the distance and slowly thinking:
[As weird as this can be, I think we're gonna be great friends and well… I can deal with this shit after all]
Tumblr media
Little did she know, after all;
they become much more than just friends….
Allies, Lovers - Soulmates.

Rare-pairs Week: day 5
Summery: Day 5 of the rare-pairs week. Prompt: Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter/PeacefulAll it takes is one little question on a perfect summer day to send Connor’s processor into overdrive.
Part: 2/3
< Previous Chapter / Next Chapter >
On Ao3 or read below.
“No.”
The word left Connor’s lips before his processor even registered it. His ears were ringing and his thirium pump beat at twice the speed it should.
“W-what?” Rupert stammered. Pain and surprise filled his expression. Things Connor never wanted to see, much less be responsible for putting there.
He couldn’t breathe.
He didn’t need to breathe. But right now he couldn’t and he…
He had to get out of there.
Choking on the barest hint of an apology, Connor pushed himself from the bed of the truck, fleeing towards where he knew the road was before Rupert could even think about following him. He called a taxi as he ran, calculating the best point to meet it along the way.
Only once he was safe inside the cab did he really stop to evaluate what had just happened.
Rupert had proposed.
He proposed.
And he had run away.
Connor rubbed at his face, then tangled his fingers in his hair. His thirium pump still pounded in his chest. Tears welled in his eyes no matter how hard he tried to hold them back. His stress levels flashed a warning in the corner of his HUD.
It was all the signs he usually experienced during a panic attack, without his usual triggers.
He employed the steps that Hank had taught him, focusing on grounding himself, taking deep deliberate breaths. He usually tried thinking about things that made him happy, but Rupert was typically one of those and that certainly wouldn’t work right now.
Still, by the time the taxi had pulled up to his house, his stress levels had at least dropped to a manageable range. Connor had not, however, been able to stop crying. So it wasn’t a surprise that Hank noticed and followed him to his room despite his mumbled assurance as he passed that he was fine.
“What’s wrong, kid?” Hank asked. It was forceful, but not unkind, much like the man himself. He sat beside where he had laid himself on his bed resting a supportive hand on his back.
He could have insisted it was nothing, lied and said he was fine again, but he knew his father would get it out of him one way or another. There was really no point in dragging it out. “Rupert proposed,” he mumbled into his pillow.
The hand on his back started to massage small circles into his syntheskin. “And… that’s a bad thing?”
The way he said it, the lack of any sort of surprise, told Connor that Hank knew Rupert was going to ask. He had likely gone to his father and asked for his blessing. And Hank had given it. Why wouldn’t he, after all?
“I thought you loved him?” Hank prompted when Connor didn’t respond.
“I do,” he confirmed as quickly as he had turned down the proposal. Of course he loved him, it wasn’t a question of love. “I love him, I do…”
The hand settled onto his shoulder. A warm, encouraging presence. “Then what’s wrong?”
Connor sat up, letting the hand on his shoulder shift into a hug. He spared a moment to look at the man. The years had etched themselves into the lines of his face. Even with how his health had improved since he had moved in, time still took its toll.
And it would only get worse.
Hank looked at him meaningfully, gentle eyes crinkling in the corners. “Is this one of those self-destructive responses?” he asked, rightfully concerned. It wasn’t as though those were uncommon. “You deserve a peaceful life, Connor. Just because you were built for chaos, doesn’t mean that’s how it’s supposed to be.”
Maybe that was a small part of it. A soft, peaceful life was foreign to his system. He had been fighting with that ever since he deviated. But that wasn’t the heart of the issue. “No,” he denied. “That’s… that’s not it.”
“It’s not,” Hank echoed, apparently not anticipating being wrong.
“I think, initially, I was just startled,” he admitted. His fingers fidgeted and he had half a mind to go get his coin. “You know I’m not fond of surprises. They tend to be… disquieting.”
Hank’s nose scrunched as though he smelled something unpleasant. “So you don’t want to marry him because he surprised you?”
“N-no, not exactly.”
“Then what?” he prompted. His voice was taking on a slightly annoyed edge and an annoyed Hank wasn’t something he really wanted to deal with.
But still, outwardly saying what was wrong…
“There are just… some things I’m not quite ready to leave behind,” he said, trying to make it sound casual.
His face scrunched again, this time in confusion. “The hell would you be leaving behind?”
Connor didn’t answer besides glancing at him in almost a guilty way. Part of him hoped Hank wouldn’t catch on, but the horrified look that washed over him was enough to assure him that wouldn’t be the case.
“Wait… Me? What the fuck-”
“You’re getting older Hank,” Connor defended, effectively cutting him off. “Someday, you might not be able to look after yourself and... How can I… I can’t leave. I don’t want to leave you.”
He had a feeling his father wouldn’t necessarily approve of his reasoning, but he didn’t expect him to be quite so upset.
“Oh hell no!” Connor was pretty sure he had never seen Hank look quite so offended. “If you don’t want to marry him because you just don’t want to? Fine, I’ll support you and shit. But there is no fuckin’ way I’m letting you skip out on being happy just because I’m getting old.”
“But Hank,” he tried to argue.
“No. No way. No fuckin’ way!”
“But-”
“First of all,” he waved a finger at him almost threateningly. “If this shit really is about me, did you ever stop and consider that I’d be fuckin’ thrilled to see my kid get married before I kick the bucket?”
Oh, he… hadn’t thought of that. “Yes, but still…”
“Secondly,” he went on, using the same finger to tap him lightly on the nose. “Who the fuck says you’d have to go anywhere?”
Connor wasn’t entirely sure how to respond to that at first. “I’d be married,” he said slowly. “Typically that would mean I’m supposed to move in with my spouse.”
His eye roll was dramatic enough he could practically hear it. “Or...” he dragged out the word like he wanted Connor to figure out what he was going to say before he completed his sentence. “He can move in with you.”
His processor felt like it was malfunctioning, but there was no error message to support that theory. “I… hadn’t thought of that,” he admitted. “Would that really be alright?”
“No, I’m just bringing it up for shits and giggles,” he said sarcastically. Hank rolled his eyes again then gave his shoulder a tight squeeze. “Come on kid. The house’ll be yours someday anyway. It makes no sense for you to move out.”
Connor hated the implications of that, but it was a bitter reality. And it wasn’t as though it was news to him that he was the primary beneficiary on Hank’s will. But as much as it made sense now that he considered it for a moment, it still wasn’t something he wanted to dwell on.
“You discussed this with Rupert already, didn’t you?” he asked rather than addressing his father’s mortality.
“Yeah, couple months ago actually,” he admitted. He scratched at his beard as though it would help him appear nonchalant. “He seemed pretty excited about the whole thing.”
His face twinged into a wince. “And… I didn’t react appropriately for that excitement.”
Hank’s kind eyes settled on him with just a dash of amusement. “I think you’ll be fine once you two talk it out. He’s gotta be used to your quirks by now.”
Part of him wanted to take offense at that, but it wasn’t as though it was without merit.
And at this point, Connor just hoped that Hank was correct that Rupert would give him another chance to accept his marriage proposal.

Prompts from here.
Word Count: 1k
A/N: It’s been a while since I last wrote for Neji and I just miss him so badly 🥲
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neji was a man of routine. He always has been. And the only instance that could ever turn him away from his routine was if he had missions to tend to. However, since peace between the different villages had been established, the number of missions had significantly gone down recently. Hence, there really wasn’t any reason for Neji to break out of his routine at the moment.
So it came to a surprise to you when you came to the riverside (which had been the delegated special space for the both of you) and found that Neji wasn’t there. You both always meet up there at exactly 1:30PM.
Huh, he must’ve been late, you thought.
But maybe you should’ve known better, because Neji was never late.
Although you suppose there’s always a first time...
Except hours had already passed by since you’ve arrived there and there was still no sign of your man. The word “late” just doesn’t cut it anymore. It was more like he didn’t show up. No heads up from Lee or Tenten whatsoever either.
You should probably be mad or disappointed that he stood you up. But you knew Neji, he wasn’t someone who’d deliberately do this without any explanation.
For some reason your mind wandered back to your conversation with him a couple of days ago about his most recent mission. You recalled him mentioning about a shinobi who had weaved a series of unfamiliar hand seals just as he attacked Neji. What if… What if the unknown jutsu’s effects and manifestations were delayed, giving you a false sense of security as it festered away into one’s body? What if Neji was actually in serious trouble?
You suddenly felt cold. Just when you’ve been given more time with him, it was going to be taken away.
Before you could even clear your mind, your body had moved towards the direction of Neji’s home. An imaginary ticking of a clock was ringing in your head.
Please be safe. Please let me make it on time. Please be safe. Please let me make it on time. It was a mantra you’ve thought you’d never have to repeat ever again. And yet here you were, replaying it over and over again.
When you reached his door, you didn’t even allow yourself to take a pause and just breathe. You immediately and urgently knocked, already thinking of kicking the door open if it doesn’t open within 15 seconds.
But alas, by the 11th second, the door opened, revealing your Neji.
And as if on cue, tears blurred your vision as you heard him call your name with a hint of confusion.
“You’re here,” you breathe out.
Neji’s brows furrowed but he responded anyway, “Yes, I’m—”
You tackled him in a hug before he could even finish his sentence. He stumbled a bit at the impact but he did nothing to pull you away.
“I was so worried!” You told him.
Ever so gently, he rubbed your back. “I’m sorry I wasn’t able to come a while ago,” he said, voice sounding raspy.
He didn’t offer any explanation because he knew you already knew why.
“You’re sick! You’re burning up!” You exclaimed. “Was this the jutsu of that shinobi?”
“No, no. It’s just a fever.”
“But you never get sick,” you frowned.
“Apparently, I do.”
“So this isn’t something serious?”
Neji couldn’t help but soften at seeing you like this. He shouldn’t smile, he knows that much, but he couldn’t help the upturn of his lips upon seeing you this worked up just because of him. You cared, you’ve always cared, and it was a sweet reminder to how lucky he has been to have lived and to have you in this lifetime.
“Come on then, let’s get you back in bed,” you said. “Have you eaten?”
Oh.
Neji hasn’t really eaten yet. Earlier he was too weak to even get up in bed, so he just slept for the rest of the day.
The slight falter in Neji’s steps told you the answer to your question. You faced him with a frown and scolded him for not taking care of himself better. “But I suppose it can’t be helped. This is why you have me after all,” you mumbled the latter part, almost as if it wasn’t meant to be heard.
But Neji heard it loud and clear and it would be a lie if he said this didn’t make his heart soar. Kami, he loves you so much.
“Stay in bed, Neji.” It wasn’t a request. It was an order. “Let me make you some porridge and maybe some tea too.”
You made your way to his kitchen, and used this short opportunity to compose yourself. You brought your hands to your heart, willing it to calm down. You sighed in relief. Neji is safe.
But he’s sick and he needs you.
And that was all it took for the calm to wash over you.
You’ve only been in the kitchen for approximately four minutes when you heard Neji’s footsteps coming near.
“I thought I told you to stay in bed while I prepare your meal,” you said as you faced Neji, who was leaning by the door frame.
“But I’m feeling fine now.”
That’s when you realized Neji was a terrible liar. If his red nose wasn’t enough of an indicator, then his body heat was. You could practically feel him burning up as you stepped closer to him.
“I know it’s hard for you to be the one getting bossed around today, but you have to deal with it,” you sighed.
Neji frowned. No, actually he was pouting.
And you can’t help but think, fuck, he’s cute. He’s pouting and he has an adorably red nose, and Kami, you’re grateful that you’re the only person who could ever witness this side of him.
You didn’t even try to fight the urge to kiss him.
And as your lips touched his, his eyes widened in shock. And by now, it wasn’t just his nose that was red.
Frankly, it was such a sight to behold
“You… you’re gonna get sick too.”
You grinned. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll make you take care of me when I inevitably get sick from taking care of you.”

“This is ridiculous,” Jesper hisses, looking between you and Inej. “Someone tell him that!”
You raise an eyebrow at him. “Tell Kaz to back out of a job? No way.”
“I prefer to keep my head,” Inej said.
Jesper rolls his eyes. “You’ll lose it either way at this point!”
“Jesper, it’s fine.”
“No, it’s not! Do you realize how-”
“Shut up, Jesper,” Kaz scowled through the earpiece.
Jesper mumbles something under his breath, but you don’t catch it.
“How’s everything looking, Kaz?” Inej asked.
“One last round of guards, and then you two can come in.”
You nod, securing your gun in place as you stand up.
“If you two don’t come back, I told you so!” Jesper said.
“If we don’t come back, we probably ditched you,” You quip back.
Jesper scoffs, standing up. “At least I still have Wylan.”
“No, you don’t,” Wylan responded through the earpiece.
Jesper throws his hands in the air, “No one appreciates the voice of wisdom around here.”
“(Y/N), Inej, go.”
Inej takes the lead, climbing the gate and dropping safely on the other side. You follow after and make a run for the main entrance. You hide behind a column, holding your breath as two guards walk back to their posts. A hand sticks out from the opposite column on you, and Inej makes a hand signal that means go.
With what you hope are quiet footsteps, you emerge from behind the column and follow Inej to the hallway to the left. You patiently wait as two Grisha emerge from the bedrooms, and in the span of a few seconds, it takes the door to close; you both rush in.
Inej opens the closet, throwing you a kefta, and you gasp at the softness of the fabric.
“Do you think we can keep these?” You jokingly ask.
“Unless you want to be an even bigger target in Ketterdam: I’d advise not.”
“They’re bulletproof and warm,” You said, slipping on the blue kefta with red and yellow detailing.
Inej only hums as she slips hers on, which has green swirls embellished on it.
“Tidemaker,” You said.
“Inferni,” Inej replied. “Suits you.”
You both walk out of the bedroom, the kefta’s making it easier to walk through the palace undetected. The Grisha all automatically assumed you belonged there. They didn’t bother to take a good look at your face.
“Status?” Kaz asked.
“On track,” You said softly, passing by two Grisha’s.
Kaz nods on his side, dressed as a guard inside of the palace. He waits patiently by the door for the two of you. He can just barely spot Wylan in the distance, acting as a servant to the Queen.
She was too stuck up to ever notice or acknowledge any of the servant's names. Similar to the Mercher’s back in Ketterdam.
What snobs they are.
Kaz watches as you and Inej round the corner. The Kefta’s fit both of you surprisingly well. He nods at you two, giving Wylan one last glance before going to unlock the Queen’s room. His fingers and quick, and the lock cracks open in a few seconds.
In those few seconds, someone screams. You can hear Wylan laughing nervously before being pinned down by a guard.
Kaz instantly stops what he’s doing as you all watch the scene unfold. They disarm him, grabbing a remote and throwing it across the floor.
“Get back!” Kaz shouts as the button lands first onto the ground. There’s a moment of silence, utter stillness as you and Inej look toward the Queen’s room, and then it explodes. The blast echoes through the castle and shatters everything. Pieces of rumble rain down as the building begins to shake.
You slam against the adjacent wall, coughing at the dust and groaning. Blood trickles down from your forehead, and your entire body aches.
A low moan catches your attention, and you look up to see a crystal chandelier, cracks surrounding the ceiling it was attached to.
“(Y/N)!” You can hear Kaz scream as it gives way.
You don’t have enough time to get away, you know that. Your vision was still blurry, a loud ringing in your ears. You were too disoriented to even comprehend the idea of being pierced with the decorative piece.
But Kaz isn’t.
He lunges forward, tackling you to the opposite end and shielding you with his body. He’s holding his breath the entire time, counting in his head and reminding himself that it’s just you. If he lets go, then you’ll be dead.
Don’t let go. He repeats it like a mantra inside his head, focusing on the sound of glass shattering as you both skid across the floor.
Sharp glass shards pierce his jacket and skin, but he’s barely fazed by it. It gives him something else to focus on other than the feeling of you.
“Don’t move,” You said quietly, and you can see his eyes widen because by saints he needs to, or he’s going to pass out. “Kaz, if you move, you’re going to push a piece of glass further into yourself.”
He starts shaking his head because the feeling of you breathing under him is overwhelming. Your voice had snapped him out of his daze, and now he was fully aware and fully scared. He doesn't know why. It's you and you were the one person he wishes he could be able to touch, but right now, he can't.
“I can’t,” He whispers.
“Kaz, don’t.”
“Please.”
“Hey, hey, hey, I’m right here,” You assure. “I’m alive, okay? Just breathe slowly until I can get out.”
Kaz closes his eyes and breathes deeply. Every nerve in his body is screaming. It’s worse than the shard of glass sticking out of him. He can’t do it.
“Kaz!” You scream as he rolls off of you and onto the floor.
Almost instantly, the glass pierces through him, and he groans. There’s a huge shard sticking out of his stomach, and you can feel panic surging through you.
Your instincts overwhelm the pain, and your senses come rushing back to you. There’s no way you can grab the glass without cutting yourself in the process, and Kaz would bleed out before you can do anything.
“Kaz Brekker, don’t you dare die on me.”
“I’m not trying to,” He hisses back.
“Inej!” You shout, searching for the Suli girl through the rubble.
“A healer,” Kaz coughs out. “You look Grisha, call for a healer.”
You blink, still amazed how Kaz’s mind is still working, before standing up. “Healer!”
On cue, a girl with a red kefta and silver detailing runs over from the area where Wylan was. You don’t want to imagine how many others are hurt. Behind her is Inej, who nods at you, and you thank the saints for her.
“I need to get the glass out," The healer said.
You look at her, then back to Kaz. “Okay. I can do that. Trust me."
“What you did was stupid,” You said to Kaz, kneeling down by his side once more.
“You were going to die,” he protests weakly.
You slowly grip the glass tightly, trying to ignore the sharp sting of it as the jagged sides cut through your skin.
“You could’ve died!” You scowl, but Kaz could hear the fear in your voice. “You still could.”
“It’s better me than you.”
“No, it isn’t,” You reply, “Kaz, how can you not see it?”
“See what?”
“That I'm in love with you!”
His eyes widen, and at that moment, you grab the glass and yank it out. Kaz screams out in pain, shutting his eyes. “Fuck!”
It’s the first time you’ve ever heard him curse.
The healer jumps into action. She leans over Kaz, and with a single motion of her hand, stitches him up.
She looks at you, and before you can say anything, she heals the cut on your forehead and the gashes on your hands.
“Thank you,” You said.
She nods, and Inej thanks her as well before turning her attention back to you and Kaz. “We need to go, like now. Wylan’s already running out the door as we speak.”
You nod, looking to Kaz. “Okay, can you walk?”
Inej hands him his cane, and he uses it to steady himself. “I can.”
“Okay… can you run?”
“I don’t think we have much of a choice,” Inej said, tugging on your kefta and gesturing to the guards eyeing you down.
“We’re running!” You announce, taking off with Inej and Kaz on your heels. The guards immediately start pursuing you, and you try to lose them in the many hallways.
“Where the hell is Jesper when you need him?”
“Right here!”
“I’m here as well!” Nina shouts, coming to a stop behind him. “The Kefta’s suit you two.”
“Thanks.”
Jesper winks before beginning to fire as Nina drops their heart rate.
“I take it the mission was unsuccessful?” Nina asked, turning to run when the guards become too many.
“I wouldn’t say that,” Jesper said.
“I would,” Kaz seethed.
“Yes, well, you happen to be the most pessimistic person here,” Jesper replied, firing a shot at an approaching guard.
“(Y/N) confessed her love for Kaz,” Inej said through labored breaths, finally reaching the exit.
Nina whirls to face you, “What?”
“About damn time,” Jesper grumbled, ignoring the look Kaz gives him.
You roll your eyes at him, grateful to see your getaway carriage on time.
“And then she pulled a piece of glass out of him,” Inej added, opening the door and hopping into the carriage.
“Oh wow, that’s really the cherry on top of it, isn’t it?” Jesper asked sarcastically.
“You guys are the only people that gossip while being chased down with guns,” Your driver, Matthias, chuckled.
“When else are we supposed to be doing it?” Nina asked, getting into the seat next to him and grabbing the reins.
“Oh sorry, didn’t realize there’s a time and place for it. I’ll stop being a criminal and getting chased now,” You sassily replied, climbing in behind Kaz.
“Just go!”
Nina and Matthias don’t have to be told twice, and you all take off, leaving empty-handed, or so you thought.
Jesper and Wylan sit across from Inej, you, and Kaz. The curly-haired boy holds a bag tightly to his chest, and you’re not oblivious to it.
“What’s in the bag?” Inej asked.
Jesper grins. “Why thank you for asking. Care to share, Wylan?”
The boy rolls his eyes and opens the bag, revealing a crown.
“Oh my god,” You gasp.
“I told you we weren’t leaving empty-handed,” Jesper smirks, leaning back and ruffling his boyfriend's hair.
“How?” Kaz asked.
“Stole it from the queen after the explosion and quite literally ran for my life.”
“We taught him well.”
The ride back to Os Kervo is long, and most of the Dregs fall asleep, except for Nina and Matthias, of course.
Inej rests her head against the window, using her hoodie and scarf as a pillow. Jesper does the same, with Wylan resting on his shoulder.
However, you’re wide awake, not finding a comfortable position to sleep in.
“Did you mean it?” Kaz whispered, turning to face you.
His features stick out more in the moonlight, casting sharp shadows across his face. His blue eyes feel like they're piercing you in a single gaze.
“Mean what?”
“What you said before you yanked the glass out of me, or was it just a distraction?”
“Oh,” You said softly. “I meant it.”
“I mean it too.”
You raise a questioning eyebrow at him.
Kaz realizes he has to say it back. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but he felt like a child once again. There were butterflies in his stomach as he speaks. “I love you too.”
“Is that so?” You ask, a slightly teasing tone to your voice, and he knows it.
“I don’t risk my life for just anyone.”
“No, I suppose you wouldn’t.”
“I also don’t offer my shoulder to sleep on to anyone.”
Your eyes brighten. “Kaz?”
He gives you a small smile, “I can take it.”
“Are you sure?”
“If it means both of us get some shut-eye, yes.”
A slow smile spread across your face as you pull up your own hoodie, having shed the Kefta long ago. It was too bulky for you.
You slowly let your head fall onto his shoulder, and his breathing stutters for a brief moment before relaxing again when he can feel your heartbeat. It should freak him out, and it does, but he stays strong. That’s what you do for the people you love.
You tough it out.
That, and Kaz falls asleep a few moments later with his own head resting on yours.

His Responsibility
Tumblr media
Pairing: dark!Andy Barber x Reader
Summary: When you’re pregnant and scared, Andy decides he will take the responsibility, whether you want it or not.
Words: 3.4k
Warning: Non-con/Dub-con, smut, breeding kink, pregnancy, age gap (reader is in 20s), 18+ ONLY
A/N: This is my slightly late entry for @just-one-ordinary-fangirl 1000 followers challenge. Congratulations Lucy, you beautiful, absolutely breathtaking soul. I love you so much! The prompt has been bolded.
Tumblr media
The crook of your elbow still throbbed as you drove away from the labs, having just given a blood sample. Jacob was supposed to be with you but like every other time, he had bailed out. Seeing no other option, you changed your path and turned towards the Barber house, hoping to find answers there.
You hesitated a moment before getting out and ringing the bell, nervously twisting the hem of your t-shirt. Sweat and tears were threatening to spill over and you hastily blinked while wiping at your hairline, ringing the bell again. You straighten once the door was swung open, coming face to face with Andy Barber.
His mouth opened in surprise, eyes taking in your bothered appearance. Softly saying your name in question, he moved aside to let you in, frowning at you.
“Are you okay?” He asked, gently placing a hand on your shoulder. You wanted to start bawling. Everything about your life was spiraling out of your control and you needed to talk before things went worse. Before you could speak however, you heard footsteps behind you and saw Jacob come down the stairs, looking outraged at seeing you in his house.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” He rudely snapped and your eyes narrowed. What had ever possessed you to date this bastard?
“Jacob!” Andy scolded, “that’s no way to talk to your girlfriend.”
You scoffed as Jacob rolled his eyes. You’d broken up nearly a month ago, and while he’d been desperate to have you back at first, now he only went about telling anyone who’d listen what a sanctimonious bitch you were.
“We broke up dad.” Jacob said. “What are you doing here? You didn’t really think I’ll take you back, did you?”
Your fingers curled into a fist, a sneer curling on your lips as you glared at him. You wouldn’t touch this piece of shit with a ten feet pole.
“Take me back? I broke up with you, asswipe.” You snapped. “And anyway, I am not here for you. I need to speak with Mr. Barber.”
Jacobs eyes narrowed suspiciously while Andy’s frown deepened, his gaze questioningly fixed on you.
“What about?” Jacob asked, crossing his arms across his chest. You noted with wry amusement how pathetic he looked next to his father who was watching your interaction with displeasure. Andy and you and had always gotten along well, and even before you broke up, you often wondered how such a man raised a dick like Jacob.
“None of your fucking business. Mr. Barber, can we please talk?” You asked, addressing Andy. He motioned you towards the direction of his study and you made your way there, trying not to pay attention to Jacob’s protests as he and Andy argued. You sat in Andy’s study, wiping your sweaty hands on your pants. You were scared, angry and humiliated but Andy was your last hope.
He came in a couple minutes later, shutting the door after him and taking the seat across from you. Andy looked at you kindly, giving you a small smile that reminded you of how often he had sided with you over his son in previous arguments. You could talk to him. He would understand.
“Please, don’t judge me.” You pleaded and saw him roll his eyes. After everything that you knew happened to their family, Andy Barber is the last person who’d ever judge anyone.
“Don’t insult me by saying that.” He chided. “You can talk to me freely.”
You took a deep breath before reaching inside your bag and pulling out the pregnancy test. Two pink lines glared back at you, and once you passed it on to Andy, his eyes widened. He looked from the small stick to you, twice, blinking in surprise.
“Jacob?” He asked and you nodded.
You’d told him you missed your period last week and got a positive result but he neither answered your texts nor call you back. After three days of silence, you’d finally managed to get him to agree to accompany you for a blood test, but he had been a no show today as well.
“I don’t know what to do.” You admitted, shoulders slumping down in defeat. A baby didn’t fit any of your current plans and you were shit scared of how your parents would react. It didn’t help that the father of the baby didn’t look like someone who would help you shoulder the responsibility.
“Does he know?” Andy asked, rolling the stick in his hands. His voice had gone hard, but you knew it was mostly directed at his careless son than you.
“I told him. He was supposed to come with me to the hospital today. I waited for over an hour.” You said. You jumped when Andy’s hand slammed against the table suddenly, body leaned forward as he fixed you with a terribly furious gaze.
“Hospital?” He questioned, gaze accusing and you reeled back, raising your hand. You understood what he was implying, and though he didn’t have any say in it, you didn’t comment on his reaction.
“I went for a formal blood test. Sometimes these tests can be faulty.” You explained and watched Andy slump back in his chair, rubbing tiredly at his eyes. There was silence until he sighed deeply, folding his hands and leaning his elbows on the table.
“I am sorry.” He apologized. “About myself and my son. He’s a nasty piece of shit.”
You cracked a small smile, sharing an amused look with Andy until you started chuckling. That chuckle turned to a laugh, and your body vibrated as you lost all control. You laughed, you laughed until it turned into a sob and then a wail, helpless cries leaving your mouth with seemingly no end. Tears made their way down your eyes and into your open mouth, coating your tongue in bitter saltiness and you were suddenly in Andy’s arm, cradled to his chest where he held you tight.
He rocked your sobbing body slowly, patting your back and head as you wet his shirt with your snot and tears. Your helplessness and fear about what the future held had you snapping, and you let out your sorrows in the arms of the man who sired the reason for all your problems.
You may have cried for a few minutes or hours, you didn’t know. But Andy didn’t push you away, holding you until the last of your sniffles disappeared and you were able to breath normally. Mortified, your cheeks burning with heat and humiliation you raised your head from his chest to meet his eyes, watery gaze meeting a kind and concerned one.
“I am so sorry.” You whispered, embarrassed at having lost control like this.
A rough hand wiped at the wet tear tracks on your face, gentle and soft as he finally turned your chin up again.
“Don’t be. You deserve a breakdown.” Andy said, smiling softly at you. He slowly moved away and took his own seat, passing you a glass of water and not speaking until you’d taken a few sips. “Who else knows?”
“Just you for now. My parents…they aren’t exactly going to be supportive about this.” You answered, looking down. Your conservative family will either have you disowned or in an arranged marriage within a week.
When Andy spoke your name, you saw him conflicted. The lines in his forehead were deepened, unsure as to what to say to you.
“Do you want me to talk to Jacob? Because I assure you, he’ll take the responsibility. I’ll make him do it.” He promised you.
“At this point, I think my life would be better off without him. I am just here to discuss options with you.” You said and Andy frowned again.
“You wanna get rid of it?” He gruffly questioned, jaw clenched. You held in your frustration, allowing him to have his own opinions.
“No” You said, “I just wanna know my rights. I want to know that my position at the university and work will not be compromised. I want to know about child support and the laws that protect me. I need advice Mr. Barber. If I will bring a life into this world, I want to be prepared for it. I may have made a lot of bad decisions, but I refuse to be a bad mother.”
Andy looked at you as if looking at you for the first time. You saw him process your words until he slowly nodded, not looking away from you.
“I’ll help you. Give me a few days, I’ll compile all that you need.”
Tumblr media
You were just about to sleep when you heard the knocking. Putting a robe over your t-shirt and shorts you went to answer the door, surprised when it was Andy. It had been three days since your talk, and you were to pick your blood reports the following morning.
“Mr. Barber” You greeted, letting him in. Why was he here so late?
“We need to talk.” Andy said, taking a seat on your couch. You bit your lip as you sat near him, wondering what had him looking so serious.
“I spoke to Jacob. He refused to take any responsibility. I am sorry I raised a jackass who won’t step in.” Andy said and you pursed your lips, not in the least bit surprised. You’d already gathered that Jacob was a fucking jerk, and you’d rather your kid have no dad than a deadbeat one.
“You don’t need to apologize Mr. Barber, it is not your fault.” You assured Andy.
“Please, call me Andy. I want you to know that if Jake won’t step in, I will. I will take care of you.” Andy promised and you blinked before shaking your head.
“I – Andy, that’s really sweet of you. But outside of legal advice I don’t need any help. I am a strong woman. I can take care of myself and my kid. Also, no offense, but I don’t want my kid too close to his father’s side and then have them wonder why dad doesn’t love them.” You said.
Andy regarded you slowly, a hand rubbing his beard before he rested back against the couch.
“No.” He said firmly.
“No?” You asked, confused. What did he mean no?
“Don’t ever say anything like that ever again. That child, they are a Barber. You’re not taking them away from me.” Andy said, fixing you with his deep blue eyes. You mouth parted in shock, a hazy sort of disbelief clouding your vision.
“Excuse me?” You sputtered, looking at him as if he’d lost his mind.
“That child will not grow up without a father. If Jake won’t claim them, I will. They have my blood in their veins too.” Andy said.
He was speaking, but he made no sense. You looked at him, not taking in a word he said. The only thing you focused on was how Andy had inched closer to you, sitting right next to you until your thighs touched. You blinked before quickly getting up to move away when Andy grabbed your hand and pulled you down beside him again.
“Andy! Let me go!” You cried, hitting against his shoulder. He didn’t move away, instead, he placed his other hand on your tummy, gently feeling.
“This is my kid inside you now. No one will know it’s Jake’s. I am your baby daddy.” Andy announced and before you knew it, his lips had enveloped yours, kissing you deep and hard. You struggled in his hold, panic making you trash as tears ran down your face. You pushed until Andy pulled away, holding you tight by your waist.
“Please, let me go.” You sobbed, uncomprehending of how things had gotten so out of hand.
“No. We will make sure this kid is mine. After tonight, no one will doubt their parentage.” He said and stood up, pulling your resisting body with him towards your bedroom. He more or less dragged you inside, locking the door and throwing you on your bed.
You crawled away from him, clutching your robe tight in fear as he came closer. His blue eyes had gotten darker, and you couldn’t look away as he unbuttoned his shirt.
“Please, don’t do this. Why are you doing this?” You begged, body trembling as he came closer. You shifted away but Andy dragged you back by your ankle, holding your body down with his weight as his hands came to remove your clothes.
“I’m making our relationship legit. I am giving myself a new chance at family with a perfect mother who will raise a good kid with me.” He said, kissing you again. Your robe slipped away, and Andy’s hands went under your t-shirt, racing up to cup your tits. He groaned in your mouth, tasting you and your tears as you weakly protested.
“No. You can’t do this.” You said, crying harder when his lips went from your jaw to your neck, kissing sweetly. His beard scratched against your skin, hands pinned underneath his massive body as he vowed to claim you and your kid.
“I can. I can do this, and you can’t stop me.” He whispered hotly in your ear, fighting your t-shirt off your wiggling body. Your bare chest met cold air, and soon enough your nipples were enveloped with the warmth of Andy’s mouth. He suckled gently, then harder, biting then soothing the sting with his tongue.
“These tits now belong to me.” He said, moving over to lavish is attention to the other breast before dipping lower to pepper kisses over your stomach. “Don’t worry little one, daddy is here. You’ll always have a father in me.”
You grew tired as your limbs hurt, your pathetic hits doing nothing to Andy. He seemed not to notice your cries or pleas, his nose nudging against your covered mound. You made one last effort to fight, kicking out your legs to push him away but Andy caught them, turning you on your side and delivering a sharp slap to your backside that had you gasping in pain and shock.
“Don’t be a fucking brat. You have to be a good mother to our child. You need to learn obedience to teach obedience.” He scolded you, pulling down your shorts and panties in a quick move. You sagged helplessly, not fighting anymore as Andy stripped off his own clothes. Any other day you would have appreciated how good he looked for a man his age, but now all you registered was how huge and strong he was, how easily he could overpower you.
He pulled your legs apart, baring your pussy to his hungry eyes. To your mortification, your folds were wet with slick, the curls on your mound glistening with the evidence of your arousal. You hid your face in embarrassment, unable to watch as Andy placed a kiss on the hood of your clit.
“Beautiful” He said breathlessly. “Absolutely gorgeous. Jacob never deserved you. He wouldn’t know how to handle a girl like you.”
With the first contact of his tongue, you bit your lip to stifle your moans. No man had eaten you with such passion before, as if you were a feast prepared for a man starved for years. Andy took his time exploring your pussy, opening you up like a flower before nudging his tongue in every fold, every crevice of you. He slurped and sucked, using his lips and tongue and teeth with such precision that you didn’t realize you were howling openly in the air now.
He eased one finger inside your entrance, lips pulling at your hard nub in a way that shot tingles up your spine. You fisted the bedsheet, twisting this way and that, unknowingly thrusting your pelvis in Andy’s face who could feel you were close.
“Let go darling,” He urged, “let go for me. Cum!”
You snapped, your back arching as you spilled around his finger that was clamped tightly in your velvet heat, his mouth greedily collecting all the moisture with relish. Pleasure left you lethargic and you didn’t react as Andy crawled up your body, kissing you while he coated his huge tool in your juices.
“Andy” You softly whispered, falling into a daze as he entered you slowly. Your still pulsing channel was snug against his cock, the hair at his base rubbing deliciously against your clit. He was way larger than his son and you felt full in a way you had never before.
“Your pussy belongs to me. You belong to me from now.” He promised, moving in and out of you at an agonizingly slow pace. He made your feel every ridge of his cock that rubbed against your spongy walls, he had you giving a high pitch screech every time he hit bottom. The mattress under you bounced with the movements of your body and your hands found themselves around Andy’s neck.
“I just want to be a good mother. I didn’t ask you for this.” You said, unable to keep your moans inside as he went faster.
“You need a strong man who will give you a family. Our kid will grow in a house of love. I will love you both and so will you.”
You tensed as he teased your clit, twiddling it with his thumb as he hit harder and deeper. His eyes were fixed at your entrance, watching enthralled as he went in and out of your body. The sounds of slapping skin and squelching fluid that dribbled down from your cunt to the bedsheet echoed around the room, and soon, you were falling again. You came with Andy’s name on your lips, both a curse and a prayer as you felt him groan and twitch inside you.
His warm cum painted your walls, marking you as his. He stayed in for sometime, holding you possessively close to his sweaty body until you were sure you smelt like him. He pulled out, appreciating how him cum flowed out of your abused hole and he smiled. Softly kissing your forehead, he gathered you in his arms and pulled a sheet over your slightly trembling frame, soothing you with gentle caresses.
“I knew it the moment he brought you home to meet me for the first time. You were too good for him. He never loved you right, never treated you like the princess you were. But now I’ve got you. You’ll wake up to coffee and breakfast and lazy kisses in bed, you’ll come home to a comfortable house and a dick that will give you a show of heaven. I’ll love you like you deserve to be loved. With reverence and devotion.”
He left you, coming back to clean the mess between your legs gently. He fed you himself, wiping every tear with a kiss until you stopped crying all together. Looking at him, the man who had violated your trust and body with equal parts of force and love, you wondered for a moment how drastically your life would change now.

You did not want him to accompany you inside, but he did. He snatched your report from your hand, keeping a hold over your waist until you went back to the car. Sitting beside you on the driver’s side, he tore open the envelope and pulled out your blood report, falling backward with a long sigh.
“What? What is it?” You asked, quickly taking it from his hands and reading. The paper crinkled as your fingers dug in it, tears of pain building in your eyes.
Negative
Not pregnant
It had all been for nothing. You didn’t have the Barber’s heir inside you and last night Andy had taken you by force for nothing. You crushed the report, wiping at your eyes and found his gaze on you.
“You fucked me for nothing.” You spat acidly, frustration and pain clawing at your heart. “I am not pregnant. And I am going.”
Before you had ever turned to open the door, Andy was pulling you roughly to himself, hauling your struggling body over his lap.
“You’re not going anywhere darling. You’re mine now. I’m not pathetic like my son. Unlike him, I will put a baby in you.” He growled in your ear, kissing a hot trail against your neck. You shook your head, looking at him in disbelief.
“But – but I’m not pregnant.” You said again, hoping he’ll understand.
“I know baby” He cooed, “but soon enough, you will be. Let’s go home and make it happen.”
