why don't you like talking about the drama that goes on in this fandom? it's almost impossible with fans and nonshippers who keep beefing with each other

I'm guessing this anon is referring to Beetlebabes / Beetlejuice so this is the only ask I'm answering regarding the rabbit hole that is this fandom. 

TL; DR: Don't like something, don't interact. Your online experience is your own, and it's what you make of it. It's not your responsibility to indulge in all the drama or be part of it.

I was in the fandom peak musicalwars and often got harassed and deäth threat anons so I'm fully aware of how toxic it is, but to answer your question, I go to fandom for fun.

If I have something to say, I will take it to DMs because other people probably don't want to be involved. Or, I end up blocking people because I see a persistent style of vindictive behavior. I'm very aware of my emotional boundaries when it comes to social media. I'm just here to share content man, but it's discouraging seeing other people going through chickenshit arguments.

Block buttons are there for a reason. Filters are there for a reason. Report buttons are there for a reason. They are tools designed to help you when you're dealing with an issue online. It's not your responsibility to care about other people's drama unless you were shoved into said drama. And even then, you have full power not to engage with people or deleting an app for a few days. You don't owe them your time and energy if you don't want too. It's easy to forget your autonomy in the heat of the moment.

I try to keep this blog as straightforward as possible, Beetlebabes content bc I love Beetlebabes & the occasional horror gifset reblog. Discourse in this fandom is very messy and I try to stay way as much as I can. And for the record, I have no issues blocking people who start drama or steal my posts. I won't do a call-out post, and I won't make your drama public. You're not responsible for anybody's emotions except your own. I don't need that negativity here and neither do other people who just want to look at cute fanart and read fanfics. 

I just do not have the emotional capacity or patience to engage with parasocial brawls. It's a huge time-consumer and I don't like being caught in the middle of petulant feuds. If I am a bad person for blocking people for that, so be it. Don't like, don't engage, it's as shrimple as that 🦐
