山茶花[Sazanka] Camellia sasanqua

Sazanka and 椿[Tsubaki](C. japonica) are related species and very similar. To distinguish between the two, Sazanka blooms in winter and scatters its petals in pieces; Tsubaki, as its name "木(Tree) + 春(Spring)" implies, blooms in spring and falls intact.

However, in the book 花のいろいろ[Hana no iroiro](Various kinds of flowers), Novelist 幸田 露伴[Kōda Rohan] writes an essay of which the title 山茶花 is read as tsubaki, even though the kanji 椿 has been around for a long time. The following is its beginning. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kōda_Rohan

It seems that he does not separate the two. The rest of the essay describes Tsubaki(C. japonica).

By the way, the genus Camellia is called 山茶 in China, and the botanical name for 寒椿[Kantsubaki](lit. Tsubaki that blooms in the cold season), which blooms in winter, is C. sasanqua ‘Shishigashira’.

OzaShin/PeperonP - Yoru no To Hiraku (ft. Hiyama Kiyoteru SV2)

The Kiyoteru SV2 demos! PeperonP has my favorite all-time Kiyoteru tuning in Guilty Verse, so this was the best comparison to me to see what I could expect from this new vb. A lot less nasal than his Vocaloid one, which will probably make him more versatile, but still pretty distinctive; pretty good! It's been so long since I've posted anything unrelated to PGR and to commemorate this, I'll be posting my rendition of Kaida Haru's original song 『何色』 (≧▽≦)

It's a very beautiful song that I had to make my own rendition. Although I took creative liberties here and there looking at a 1:1 translation perspective, I feel that those liberties I took are something I see and spoke to me in terms of what the song is all about. The first song I ever heard from my favourite music artist, Mayumi Kojima! It's a pretty simple song in terms of its lyrics so I thought it'd be a good place to start with this blog. To me, it sounds like it's about suddenly remembering something unpleasant or perhaps even nightmarish and having to accept it after running away for so long. "On the other side of a sweet, sweet dream" ("Amai amai yume no mukōgawa") seems to imply that the person has woken up from their pleasant dream of willful ignorance and has been thrust into reality.

*Muma in japanese refers to "nightmare" but what distinguish it from "akumu" is that it can also be used to refer to a specfic type of demon, the incubus or Nacthmar, hence my translation

*Ai and Koi both means love but in different intensity, ai can still refer to a platonic love whereas koi mainly refers to a romantic one in at least 99% of the time

So anyway so far I have Renvanna + Calhoun, Giovanna and Calhoun has Chase who's so far died TWICE. One time he drowned 'cause I made the mistake of turning autonomy on for a second and he went for a swim with low energy. If I didn't have the 'kids can die of anything' mod he would've probably been fine 'cause he was a child, but I have that mod 'cause fuck giving immunity to tiny beings.

So he died.

The second time was as a teen 'cause he had a mood swing.

(It's fine tho I cheated him back to life after both times.)

Chase and Giovanna are presently Enemies. Giovanna got to the top of the Criminal career and became The Boss, except then right away I had her quit and her and Ren moved to the countryside where they now have a cute little farm. Calhoun's still doing Calhoun things, working on his own career while getting aspirations like the Serial Romantic and whatever the new heartbreaker thing was.

I also have Nura! He has a cute lil cottage in a lil village in the countryside where he's fiddling around with his garden while on the gardener career.

And of course Gilya, from their modern AU. Ilya's a craftsman and very handy with the woodworking bench, makes a lot of money out of that. Gia went into university to get the Fine Art degree, then he'll become an Interior Decorator 'cause I got a mod that makes that degree give a boost to that career.

Still gotta make Simona and Seba, and I think I'm gonna toss Ramona somewhere in there.

In the same save are also a bunch of Elezen derivaties! We have Rise and Angoul doing spellcaster things, Minuinne and Laugreint living a happy lil life for now, before she gets to die horribly. Anastazie isn't in there yet, but she's in my gallery as a vampire. Also her husband. Who's also gonna die once I plop them down. Very unfortunate, that.

And of course Latielle and Astreul. She's a medium (and also a spellcaster), he's a werewolf and that's. Yeah. Yeah.

I gotta built their family trees a bit. Minuinne already has her parents and brother, but Rise needs her parents and Darcevain's parents so I can make Darcevain. Really want to add Damon in too. Make him the Gloomiest man alive, gotta get to that.

In a different save I have Rivka and Reid's shenanigans with Shinya in there too. Gotta make Hiraku as well. Shinya also has a massive family which has been... A lil painful when they all decided to stay over. Think I'll give Hiraku his mom as well. I've played a couple of Shinya's siblings too, one I made a property owner and the other a competitive rider, but those are pretty WIP.

Was there anyone else? Can't remember off the top of my head.

Infinitely amused over the fact that I can leave Gilya to socialize unsupervised and 100% chance they'll just go WooHoo after flirting for a bit, but if I let Giovanna queue a single interaction with Ren, she'll just end up yelling at him or some other Mean interaction, since she has the Evil trait and apparently their relationship doesn't save him from that lmaooooo.

Also Ren has the Kleptomaniac trait and I hope he never comes over to any of my played households I've built nice houses for 'cause my items will not be safe. It's fun to play him tho and have him steal items.

Hopping from TS4 to FFXIV and not knowing how the camera controls work anymore.

An introduction:

Hello, good day. This introduction of me (not my story's world) is something I should have done when I first made this account, but completely spaced and wanted to do a worldbuilding intro over this. Anyway, no time like the present.

My name is Elyse or if you want, you can refer to me as Night Fox or Fox. Whatever is the easiest to remember or you are comfortable with. Pronouns are She/They.

I'm just your local Bi, Nonbinary, Disabled Adult Fantasy Writer and Art Doodler.

My current writing projects. My main projects are a loosely connected series. Set in the same world known as the Kaeyama, but has different MCs and Countries in each book. The side stories/spin offs are usually set in the same country as their main counterpart, but as I'm going to explain there's an exception to this rule:

The Legend of Bolyra - This story follows a Magic/Physical Disabled, Bi, Polyamorous Snow Elf Thief, who's a Princess in hiding, named Aerilaya Lithrina (later Likuri - a combination last name of her husband and her wife's). Who stumbles upon a sacred orb belonging to the LifeBlood Tree and a journal from a High Priestess who served Two Twin Goddesses during an investigation to make sure a local greedy noble isn't hoarding extra wealth at a seemingly abandoned temple at the edge of town.

The Legend of Huisong - Follows 3 misfits, who try to find their place in the world, while dealing with one another's dark and potentially dangerous secrets. A Runosu (a humanlike being with Iridescent Glowing Skin, Light Purple Eyed, and Natural Multicolored hair) named Sairi, a Kayosei (a humanoid butterfly person known for having beautiful purple wings) named Murasaki, and a nonbinary, trans Kitsune named Hiraku.

The Legend of Iecruinia - Follows 4 dragonborns who end up on a quest to find their kidnapped parents and the sacred crystals their parents were guarding. Before the floating islands of their lands come crashing down and watch their country being thrown into destructive chaos.

Side stories:

A Winter's Dance (tentative title), a novella that follows three human nobles who live in the oppressive monarchy dictatorship country known as Helina. Thornton Sr, his wheelchair bound cousin with Time Magic Luciana Nightwork, and Fire User Nym Andronicus. This story is a play on Romeo and Juliet (but none of the three MCs dies. Yes, yes, you can boo me and throw your tomatoes. 🤭) This is a prequel back story to these three characters, how they wound up in Bolyra, and started a Thieves' Guild. This also gives insight to the Slave Trade and how people - regardless of status feel about it (I do a lot of characters who are in high positions of power and reject their status at one point or another.)

Short Story Collection 1 and 2 - These collections take place about 100 to 200 years after the main events of TLoB (haven't finished this, but the muse wants semi cozy stories at the moment and wants me to build up some characters that makes appearances in TLoB.)

Season: Winter 2023

Anime:  Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity Will Save the World Plot: “... One night after several weeks in a downward spiral, Nick ends up in a local tavern where fate leads him to meeting three fellow adventurers. After a night of drinking, the four bond over their own betrayals and their destroyed ability to trust anyone. This is when Nick hatches on the idea for the four to form a party.” Initial Thoughts : Geez, the amount of betrayal that these four go through- (Though I’m not sure why a few things weren’t mentioned from the manga for Nick’s case unless they plan on using it later) Surprisingly enough I’m very invested in their growth and as to how they’ll work as a party. Secretly hoping they can all one up all their backstabbers eventually. Definitely has my interest so far this season. **Edit Final thoughts: There’s some very apparent flaws in this anime, I’m afraid. A couple of obvious errors like, feet not matching the background when characters walking down steps. Pacing towards the end felt very weak despite everything tidying up most of the current subplots. The show had very potential promise in the beginning, the final episode of the crew just walking around town while talking was a bit... ridiculous? considering they just stated to attending a festival yet walking OUT of town to just remind everyone of their adventure only for a newest character to call them back to town? And no, they didn’t go back to Nick’s story like I hoped.

Anime:  Farming Life in Another World Plot: “Having died of sickness at the age of 39, Machio Hiraku is given the opportunity to go to another world. When asked what his wish is by God intending to give him strength, he requests to have a healthy body, offered a second wish, he chooses to live peacefully, a third wish to be able to know the local language, and for a final wish, to be able to be a farmer. ” Initial Thoughts: Still curious, not yet sold on this one. Anime:  Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire Plot: “From his deathbed, Hero-King Inglis, the divine knight and master of all he surveys, gazes down on the empire he built with his mighty hand. Having devoted his life to statecraft and his subjects' well-being, his one unfulfilled wish is to live again, for himself this time: a warrior's life he'd devoted himself to before his rise to power...” Initial Thoughts: So far this is has been a very simple enjoyment. It’s a done before trope however I’m personally satisfied with the progression in the first 2 episodes. Only time will tell if it this will continue to hold that satisfactory of ‘fun to watch’. Anime:  Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Plot: “Along with three other heroes, 27-year-old Mukouda Tsuyoshi is transported into a fantasy world to rescue a kingdom from a mysterious threat. However, it soon becomes clear that Tsuyoshi has been dragged into the summoning ritual by accident. His only skill turns out to be "Food Menu," which allows him to open an interface where he can purchase and obtain food-related supermarket items from modern Japan.” Initial Thoughts: Took 2 episodes but now I’m invested in how things go and what other cooking meals he prepares. Rate: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♡ [4/5]

Anime:  Handyman Saitou in Another World Plot: “Saitou is an ordinary handyman that gets transported to another world where his skills are very useful. He starts to really understand what it means to be needed.” Initial Thoughts: Not quite what I was expecting? Yet I don’t even know what I was expecting to be honest. One thing to note is that it plays like a short comic/panel manga. Divided up in segments and not so much linear. Definately would take some getting used to. At the moment, I’m personally not invested, however I’m willing to continue on for another few more episodes before final thoughts. Rate: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♡ ♡ [3/5]

Anime:  Chillin' in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King's Army Plot: “The dark soldier, Dariel (30 years old), who can't use magic despite being in the Demon Lord's army, was fired for his lack of capacity. Having been raised by the previous Demon Lord himself, he finds that his adoptive brother, the new Demon Lord, has little use for him. However, after rescuing a village girl from a forest monster, Dariel is invited into her village and starts realizing that he may be considerably more powerful than what he thought...” Initial Thoughts: Already a sucker for ‘kick out of-’ situations. Expecting this to be a bit of a fun casual watch. Some of the things in this world raises a lot of eyebrows. Rate: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♡ [4/5]

Anime:  Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte Plot: “ On the outside, otome villainess Liselotte seems foul in every way, a purely evil character. However, as revealed in her diary, she was always hiding both her pain and her true feelings for Prince Siegward. While she keeps this locked away, an evil witch ultimately possesses her, leading to her demise—a tragic end for the tsundere villainess. This is how the story always goes, an end coded into the game MagiKoi. ” Overall Thoughts: Rate: ? [?/5]

Anime:  Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement Plot: “One day, Mitsuha falls off a cliff and is transported to a medieval Europe–type world! After a near-death encounter with a pack of wolves, she then realizes that she's able to transport between two worlds—this one and her own. Taking advantage of this ability, Mitsuha decides to live in both worlds and calculates that she'll need 80,000 gold coins to be able to retire! Mitsuha now has to come up with different ways to collect her gold coins!” Overall Thoughts: Rate: ? [?/5]

Recent announcements made me a little bit confused, so I’m trying to organize my chaotic thoughts. As I have been recently listening to Kalafina a lot again, plenty of stuff came to my mind, and what can be better than asking you and fellow fans about their view on the matter?

After the disbandment, the Girls made it clear that they wanted to distance themselves from Kalafina. Out of the three, Hikaru is the best example. She has been particularly adamant about not looking back. While Wakana and Keiko perform a Kalafina song or two from time to time, Hikaru has not done so in a long time.

While I understand and respect the “I want to follow my own path and create my own music” point, this argument ceased to convince me, because Hikaru’s actions seem a little contradictory. After all, what was the purpose of covering popular artists such as YASOBI or ado? Reaching new audience, no doubt about it. Then, the launch of Hikaru’s official TikTok starts off with a cover of Aimer, which again looks like a deliberate (and really smart) move to attract some of the huge Kimetsu no Yaiba fan base.

But why do this, and at same time ignore the fact that there is a huge repertoire of almost one hundred songs, some still popular and recognizable, waiting to given new life. Written exactly for her, with her vocal abilities in mind. Hikaru-centric ones, powerhouses such as good old Mata Kaze, DU, Love come down, identify, would perfectly compliment her solo work. Not to mention there is plenty of others that barely seen any live performance (I’m looking at you, In every nothing!).

Requests made for Helixes Christmas Event, or numerous tweets during the last unofficial anniversary have showed that people would love to hear Kalafina songs again. No surprise here - Wakana has proved they can still be immensely enjoyable (Nakano Sun Plaza’s Musunde Hiraku), even with just a single vocalist. It’s just a matter of right choice, proper arrangement and a good band backup.

Looking at W&K&H solo careers with those 3 years of insight, I’m starting to believe that the decision to discard almost everything Kalafina related was made too hastily. Popularity and commercial success’ wise, it has backfired, as the fan base has scattered, and eventually diminished, with many people losing interest as you have pointed out.

I think they could have fully embraced their Kalafina legacy while pursuing their individual carriers, then incorporate their solo work and smoothly blend both into one musical output. This way they would both fulfill their respective ambitions while still have a good foundation for old supporters to cling to.

Hikaru’s recent activities, and little things like Keiko doing this modelling stuff, or Wakana suddenly becoming more interested in Twitter makes me believe someone finally realized they need to proactively find new means of promotion, or they will lose the battle against unforgiving Moloch of Japanese music industry. That leaves me surprised why they consistently refuse to use this possible advantage.

Here are my thoughts on the matter 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→

Re: Distancing themselves from Kalafina Something we have to keep in mind is that out of the three of them, only Wakana can perform Kalafina songs without running into too much trouble (most likely due to Space Craft having at least partial rights to Kalafina's body of work). It's obviously no big issue for her to perform these songs regularly and include said performances in official releases. Keiko and Hikaru do not seem to have the same option. For all we know, they might have no choice but to distance themselves. While both have performed a song or two, it was always a more exclusive one-time thing that was clearly never meant to appear in any sort of official release. For the record: strictly speaking, Keiko hasn't really performed more Kalafina than Hikaru - she literally only sang "TTB" - but her performance is certainly more recent.

Re: Following their own path I believe they are all determined to develop their own personal style. I can understand why it would seem redundant to go back to the stuff you have done for 10+ years when you are in the midst of reinventing yourself. Not to mention that all three of them have expressed how difficult it is for them to perform these songs on their own, not only on a technical level but also on an emotional one. I cannot for the life of me remember when it happened but Hikaru has definitely mentioned that after initially trying to do a few Kalafina solo self-covers (for that very first solo live of hers) she quickly realised that she simply couldn't do it on her own because she felt too lonely. As for Hikaru covering all those super popular songs. Yeah, it is definitely a promo strategy (one that has continuously failed unfortunately T_T) but I wouldn't say it contradicts the whole "following her own path" agenda. I don't believe it compromises her newly developed identity as solo artist to cover those random hits because it is first and foremost meant to attract a new audience. However I do in fact think that relying too much on Kalafina can be quite dangerous because 1) it can quickly turn into pandering, 2) it draws the focus away from the actual solo work and 3) it only encourages people to make even more endless comparisons.

Re: Wakana's cover of Musunde Hiraku at Nakano Sunplaza I was there that day and I mentioned it in my live report but I found it shocking and borderline disrespectful that despite a few attempts on Wakana's part, the audience remained super unresponsive until this song. It's nice to see everyone being passionate about Kalafina but the utter lack of engagement for everything else is just baffling to me. I think these situations are quite difficult for Wakana, she obviously loves those songs and wants to continue singing them, she also wants to make her audience happy. But at what cost? To have your own solo work so obviously written off as "less than" must be a hard pill to swallow. I think it's no coincidence that we are seeing fewer and fewer Kalafina songs in her setlists.

Re: Backfire and refusal to use the advantage Oh yes, absolutely! Not cashing in on their vast Kalafina history has harmed them immensely and caused many fans to jump ship but I honestly do not think that they have had much of a choice in that regard. With the rather messy disbandment and the music rights situation being less than ideal, it is probably the most sensible and viable course of action for the girls to distance themselves (especially for Keiko and Hikaru). It really makes me sad to think about the fact that if a bunch of old manager dudes on both sides hadn't been so fu**ing butt-hurt about whatever the hell it was, we could have had it all. After a well-deserved short hiatus the girls could have pursued solo careers while still occasionally doing work as a group (in one of her interviews Keiko alluded to this actually having been a plan for their future at some point). Alas, it wasn't meant to be...*cries*

Re: Recent SNS activities I am glad their respective managements are finding new ways to promote them. It's obvious that with the new year and the fading pandemic, everyone is determined to push ahead. Let's hope their attempts bear fruit. Also, it seems that Hikaru got a new manager so they are probably responsible for some of the more recent changes. It's thanks to them that we are getting all these cute pics on the H-el-ical// account.

Ohh that's a good question. I don't know any quite like 19 days, an ongoing story that is ultra slow burn. I have read some other amazing BLs though. Here's some that I like:

Totally Captivated

• Complete | 49 chapters plus some extras

• General vibe: humor, romance

If you like the mafia background of 19 days, an amazing manhwa is Totally Captivated. Lighthearted, fun and very hot 🔥 One character gives me strong He Tian vibes, both in appearance and in attitude. Plus, the main couple has some fantastic chemistry.

Summary: Jung Ewon has always let his curiosity get the best of him, but even he could not have predicted that his latest venture would lead to him working for the mafia.

After cheating on his boyfriend and consequently being dumped, Ewon longs for the two of them to reconcile. However, his ex's new boyfriend, the handsome Eun Mookyul, begins to take an interest in him. Finding Ewon intriguing, Mookyul, a mafia boss, decides that he wants Ewon to become his underling—and that's just the start of Ewon's problems.

At the End of the Road

• General vibe: dark themes, romance, plot heavy

The summary makes this one sound pretty complicated so I procrastinated checking it out for a bit. When I finally read it I was blown away. The plot is incredible, the romantic interest is ugh so good. The entire story leaves me with a warm feeling of destiny and serendipity. It gets dark and it demands quite a bit of attention but it is definitely worthwhile.

Summary: After a car accident, Taemin finds himself in the body of Siwon, a victim of bullying at school. No longer a pushover, he starts standing up for himself but then meets Woojin, an old friend from the past. Somehow, Woojin immediately picks up Taemin's 'scent' from Siwon. What happened between these two in the past and how will it affect their future?

Walk on Water

• Complete | 62 chapters

• General vibe: romance, hot sex

Ok, this one is a delight to read. It's another one of those "straight guy goes gay for the right guy" kind of plot, but it's beautifully done. The characters' progress feels authentic. You're on the edge of your seat rooting for them. Plus, the art is amazing?? I'd stop reading sometimes just to admire it. @ the artist you didn't have to go this hard and yet you did dude!! Fantstic job.

Plus the sex scenes are just on fire. Phew 🥵

Explicit sex so don't check it out if you're under 18, stay safe, yadda, yadda.

Summary: To earn money, Ed decided to enter the pornographic industry. Secretly, he begins working under the alias of "Tommy". One day, it was suddenly decided that he would be filming as a bottom instead of a top and he's doing it with the famous Glen McQueen as his partner?

No. 6

• Complete | 9 books or 9 mangas (I read the books actually, but the manga is the same story)

• General vibe: social commentary, romance, plot heavy

My all time favorite on the list might be No. 6. No. 6 reads more like 'social political commentary ft. a couple that happens to be boys', rather than a boys love story per see. The plot doesn't revolve around their romance, their romance is also happening in the midst of the chaos. And it is beautiful to watch.

Story wise, No. 6 is a dystopic tale, and it brings up themes of consumption under capitalism, outsourcing of labor, outsorcing of inequalities and goverment control. It's not recent so you might have read it already - if you haven't I can't recommend it enough.

A PERFECT LIFE, IN A PERFECT CITY

For Shion, an elite student in the technologically sophisticated city No. 6, life is carefully choreographed. School, study, and the occasional visit with his friend and classmate Safu. One fateful day, however, he takes a misstep, sheltering an injured boy his age from a typhoon. Seven Days

No way you haven't read this, but just in case: seven days!! Go check out seven days!! Seven Days is the BL. School life plots peaked with this one haha It's just two volumes and the story is beautifully done. I re-read from time to time when I want a pick me up.

Summary: On a whim, high school third-year Yuzuru Shino asks out first-year Toji Seryo, who is notorious for being a weeklong lover—he’ll date the first girl to ask him out Monday morning and then promptly dump her by the following Monday! The boys start dating, and by Tuesday, the first inklings of attraction hit. Can these two put words to their feelings before Monday comes, or are old habits too hard to break?

Blue Sky Complex

• Complete | 23 chapters

• General vibe: school life, humor, romance

Another school life story for the list. Blue Sky Complex has some truly hilarious moments, with teenage fumblings that ache with how true to life they are. Zero drama, zero outside interference, just the two main characters slowly (but surely) figuring things out.

Summary: Narasaki only wanted a place where he could sit and read books in peace, but was blackmailed by his teacher into supervising a delinquent called Terashima while working at the school library.

As they spend their days in silent but close proximity, they begin to feel drawn to each other. And then...

Doukyuusei

• Complete | 2 volumes (second is called Sotsugyousey)

• General vibe: lightehearted fun

Fun fact: I went to Japan once and I wanted to buy a book in Japanese just to have it, you know? I don't speak Japanese, I just wanted a book as a souvenir. I bought Doukyuusei. Clearly I'm biased towards this story in particular haha

Everything by this author is gold. Their art style flows, the characters have a certain lightness to them that makes them almost dance in the pages. The author usually draw at least one of the leads with long hair and the hair is so well done, GOD. I could gush about the hair all day.

Perhaps one of the most realistic ones of the list, Doukyuusei is a school life story about when you meet someone at just the right time.

Summary: "A boy boy met a boy. They were in the flush of youth. They were in love that felt like a dream, like sparkling soda pop."

High school students Hiraku Kusakabe and Rihito Sajou are as different as day and night. But opposites attract and before they know it, they've embarked on a journey neither one can quite define but which anyone with eyes can see is "Love."

Mo Dao Zu Shi

• Complete | 126 chapters

• General vibe: slow burn, historical, epic romance

At the risk of being very cliche here: if you haven't read Mo Dao Zu Shi, you're wasting time. Go. This one isn't a manga, but it a fantastic book. It became uber famous for a reason, you know? All the attention is very much deserved. I can't emphasize enough how good it is.

You can watch the TV show The Untamed as well (and the acting is fantastic) but, to me, the experience is just not the same. The TV show removes all explicit romance references from the story, in order to comply with China's censorship. The book leaves nothing out. It is very much a romance, through and through, and it's an epic one. There's slow burn, pining, misunderstandings, fighting everything and everyone for your loved one and coming out stronger on the other side. Truly worth the read.

     so he started living with his uncle from his mother’s side ,  who already didn’t have the best relationship with his parents ,  but as the only family alive he had in the country he had to take care of a now orphan shouta .  hiraku wasn’t very good at it .

     shouta’s quietness and independence comes from years of basically living alone ,  as his uncle wouldn’t stay long in the apartment due to work or go out to drink .  but even when he was home ,  they never really talked much   —   far too opposite opinions on things to even be able to speak without beginning an argument .  one of them was shouta becoming a hero ,  actually ;  his uncle not exactly happy that in a way ,  shouta’s wishes were bringing up events of the past that he wished to forget .

     hiraku didn’t expect for him to be able to even get in the hero course ,  but he knew his nephew was stubborn enough to not give up on the idea the moment he was accepted into u.a. .  and after oboro’s death ,  he noticed how he had become more stubborn to becoming a hero than ever .  he didn’t try to stop him ,  in fact drank away even more .

     post graduation ,  shouta didn’t stay in their home any longer ;  just went there to pack up his stuff and off he went .  he knew the moment hiraku arrived home a argument would most likely be unleashed ,  so why wait to find out ?  the now pro hero preferred become homeless than live in the same house as him any longer .

     they still spoke every once in a while afterwards ,  but now it has been two years since the last time he did speak with his uncle ;  and really ,  shouta isn’t sure if he can ever speak to him again (   a bit too stubborn to contact him when the other man doesn't seemingly try either   ) .  on contrast ,  he speaks every six months with the now retired cop that found him ,  a way of showing gratitude really (   as said main became like a father figure to him   ) .
