Not Blue, Black
Everyone always assumes that Danny's eyes are blue. Heâs shown pictures of his family before and his dadâs eyes are blue, and so are his twin brotherâs and his daughterâs, and his big sisterâs. So his must be too! Well, his mom seemed to have this weird purple thing going on so no one was too sure. And no one seemed to care either way, especially not Danny. Besides, why would anyone care about eye color when they had such an amazing young man working alongside them?
Danny was the perfect intern. Heâs always on time, never giving trouble, always giving helpful suggestions, and good at not only his job but everyone elseâs too, making it handy to have him around the office. He was also the workplace hottie, with many guys and girls hovering around him, desperately trying to make him theirs despite him announcing himself happily married the first day he got here. (Everyone knew who his husband and wife were since he couldnât help but show them off every chance he got. Everyone knows theyâve got no chance, but one can dream.)
He also seems to light up just about whatever room he happens to be in. Just his presence alone made even their shittiest days in the office seem like just tiny inconveniences in the eyes of the universe. Unless he himself was pissed, which didnât happen too often. But when he was, everyone felt it and knew to avoid him like the plague. But, other than that, Danny was an all-around good guy and was for sure going to get the job after he graduated from Gotham U.Â
You, on the other hand, werenât too sure about your position in the company, as you were Dannyâs antithesis, everything he was not. You were always late for reasons no one cared to understand. Just about every issue in the office was pinned on you whether you were involved or not. You couldnât ever think about helpful suggestions and just rode off the backs of others. And compared to everyone else's good looks, you were the workplace monster.Â
You had a scar on your face and body you got as a kid. You got it in an accident and it deformed your right side quite a bit. It was challenging to adjust to yes, but over time you learned to live with and accept it. Others not so much. The stares you got almost daily, from everyone in the office to school, even random strangers on the street. All of them made you feel scared and sick. Like you wanted to dig off your skin and rip off your flesh and replace it all with something newer, better, more normal. But you couldnât and had to live like this for the rest of your life. You had to live with the stares for the rest of your life.
Your only saving grace was this job, the one you were assigned to when you first got the internship. You were awful at it at first, resulting in many scoldings from the manager. But throughout the year you were here at this company, you dedicated your time and effort to be good at at least this one thing. And now you were proud to say that you were damn good at it. The best even! So good in fact that everyone decided that they would drop their workload onto you and let you handle it even if it meant extremely late nights at the office.
And thatâs how you got to be here, on the company roof at 1 a.m., debating whether or not going home to actually sleep and eat would be worth the scolding you would get from the manager when you arrive to work âlateâ again..., among other things.
You know having these kinds of thoughts was bad for your mental health (your therapist grilled it into you every time you even mentioned them to her), but it was freeing in a sick sort of way every time you thought of each scenario that could play out if you just-
âHey!â
Jumping back to your senses, you turned around and saw none other than Danny Fenton standing right behind you. You two were never all that close in proximity before now so you only knew that he was big. You werenât expecting the absolute unit that was standing behind you. You knew you were short but having to crane your neck to look at his face only put shit into perspective.
âAnother late night?â
You only nod dumbly as he moves from behind to stand next to you, looking down at the bustling city below. A deep sigh came from him as he pulled a candy from his back pocket and popped it into his mouth. He was always eating candy. Did he have low blood sugar or just a sweet tooth?
âSame. Itâs like we can never go home, huh?â
You couldnât help but laugh at Mr. Perfectâs suffering just a bit until you realized what he meant. You scoffed and rolled your eyes.Â
âCome on Fenton, just because youâve done a few late nights doesnât mean you ânever get to go homeâ.â
You settled next to him, also looking down on the city as well. He was on his phone now, the blue light illuminating his features.
âShe really never sleeps does she?â He says laughing to himself.
You were kinda pissed off now. Who was he, Mr. Perfect Intern, Daniel Fenton, to compare his suffering to yours? You practically lived at this job now, once you werenât busy with school or something else! You even bet that after this heâs gonna go home to his nice apartment and be met by a wrapped-up dinner on the table made by either his husband or wife. (HE HAS A FREAKING HUSBAND AND WIFE FOR FUCKS SAKE!) He was probably talking about his little girl just now, and how sheâs up waiting for him. Maybe she was half asleep on the couch with the TV on since she was so determined to see her Dad come home. Itâs Friday after all of course sheâd get to stay up way past her bedtime. Heâs gonna get a hot bath and wash off dirt and grim of work, and-
Dannyâs laugh was low and deep, rumbling through the air, sending chills down your spine. He turned to you and smiled his pearly whites glimmer-Â Wait were those fangs?
âDude you know you mumble out loud⊠right?â
There was silence between you two until a bright red crept up your neck, and ever so slowly engulfed your face. Shame flooded your entire being as you cradled your face in your hands. You sighed, feeling like more air wanted to come out but your very human lungs were empty and in need of oxygen. So sucking in a breath, you looked him in the face (why can't you see his eyes?). He was still smiling, his fangs (he has freaking fangs how had you never noticed before!) poking his bottom lips making little dimples.
âIâm so sorry, Iâve been stuck here for three days doing everyone else's work. I havenât slept or eaten or taken a shower. I-â
âI know, I know. Youâve been busting your ass for a while now so of course youâd be grumpy.â
You donât think grumpy is the word youâd use but it was close enough.Â
âSo how long have you been here Fenton?â
âA week.â He replied cooly, popping yet another sweet in his mouth. (Okay he needed to stop, at this rate, diabetes would be the next one to put a ring on his finger) But you were surprised nonetheless.
Youâre sure you wouldâve noticed if he was here for the entire week. He must have been playing games with you.
âAm not.â
Okay, you needed to stop thinking out loud.
âLook, just trust and believe that if I didnât want you to notice me, you wouldnât have. But I did soâŠâ He shrugged and looked off into the distance once more.
You think that what he said is impossible, everyone notices Danny Fenton. But the office was pretty small compared to bigger companies. And if he really was there for the entire week you should have noticed him at some point of the three days you were here. You didnât hear him coming up behind you a few moments ago either. So maybe there is some merit to his words.
âWhatâs got you here for so long anyways Fenton?â
He sighed, his face looking more tired than before.Â
âYou know the project that my group has, the one we got two months ago?â You nod and he continues,Â
âWell, it was fine at first. Everyone was pulling their weight, excited to get it done. But then it started, again, with âHey Danny, Iâve got something important to do this afternoon, can you finish this for me?â. Then, âDanny I'm not coming in today, do this for me? Thanks!â. And âHey, Dannyâs good at this let him do it!â. âDanny I need help! Wait noâŠ, I actually meant that I want you to do this for me.âÂ
Dannyâll do this, Danny can do that, donât worry Dannyâs on it! Danny, youâll finish the project⊠right?
That along with the other workloads that are trusted upon me by the managers and other employees, ON TOP OF MY OWN ASSINGED WORK!â
By the time he was done, you had already recognized that voice all too well. Danny was struggling, right on the edge of his line, using the shirt on his back the make just a little more. Danny was breaking and just barely holding it together, just like you were. You never realized it before, but you notice now that, Dannyâs fucking tired. Just like you.
A wet laugh broke your train of thought. His face was a bit wet, his eyes (?) red from held-back tears.
âPeople think that Iâve got no flaws-â A pang of guilt shoots through you as you were one of those people, â- but I do. Metric shit ton in fact. One of them is that I canât help but to help people, even if itâs detrimental to myself. And if my sister finds out about this sheâs gonna slap me upside and force me to stay home for a month!â
Another laugh rang through the air, sounding just a bit too crazy for your liking. Even so, you couldnât help but wonder, you just needed to ask-
âWhy are you telling me this?â
His laughter stopped and he turned to look at you. Like really look at you. You realize that Dannyâs eyes werenât blue like you and everyone else were assuming. His eyes were black. So black. Blacker than the night sky and deeper than any ocean. And within those oceans swam thousands of bright lights, each burning 10x brighter than the earthâs own sun! Yet they could never shine through that great abyss. It was beautiful. Dannyâs eyes were so beautiful.Â
âBecause Iâm gonna quit.â
âWhat?â Well, you werenât expecting that.
âYeah, Iâm going to quit. And as your good friend-â Good friend? Since when!? â-Iâm going to advise you to quit as well! I predict that this shabby ass company is gonna collapse in a few months and I DO NOT want to be there for that shit show, doubt you want to be there either.â
You feel conflicted. This is the first time that you and Danny Fenton have actually spoken to each other and after basically trauma dumping on you he tells you to quit! This has to be a prank! Some sick twisted joke!
âItâs not.â
CURSE YOUR BLOODY LIPS!
Danny smiled. He looked noticeably less human now that you could see fangs and eyes, and were his ears always pointy? Dear lord is he a part of the Fae!?
âClose but not quite.âÂ
At this point, you were pretty sure you werenât speaking out loud and he was just straight-up reading your mind. He handed you a piece of paper and clasped his hand over yours.
âJust think about it ok? The first one is my number, so just call when you need a friend to talk to. The second is my brotherâs, he thinks youâre cute.â
âWhat?â You look up only to see him gone as if he was never there. Looking back down you expect to see the paper gone too. But it was still there, the flirtatious message next to the second number making the tips of your ears turn red. Once again you remember that, Danny if a fucking giant, one who was now gone without a traceâŠ
âWhat have I gotten myself into?â
You decided to quit the next day.
Three months later the company ends up in a scandal so bad, that even the bats are investigating it.
You decide to give Danny a call.
All I wanted to do was write a prompt about Danny's eyes... The fuck!?!?!?
#dpxdc#dp x dc#dc x dp#dp x dc crossover#dp dc crossover#kinda sorta#danny phantom#there's so much lore baked into this thing it isn't even funny#inspiration hit me like a truck and draged me off the rails#if i write you one more time i'll break my fingers#i kinda want to expand upon this#dp x dc prompt#dc x dp prompt#come on me tf is this train wreck TT

right here, right now (b.r.b.)
or: Before they were Rebel and Rooster, they were just two best friends who had no idea how much was about to change.
like father, like daughter
warnings: bittersweet melancholy, they have an almost moment
word count: 1k
âbut in 2,123 hours a bend in the universe/is gonna make everything/in our whole world changeâ
He shushes you as you climb up the ladder, your laughter spilling out into the night anyways.Â
âYouâre gonna get us into trouble.â He whispers as you pull yourself up the ladder. âYou know they hate it when we come up here.âÂ
You canât help the laughter bubbling out of you as you look at him pull himself over the top of the ladder and over to where youâre seated. âAlways talking about the weight limit and rickety wood, yeah, I know.âÂ
He offers you a smile as you kick your legs out to dangle over the edge of the treehouse. âDid you have a good time tonight?âÂ
You shrug, propping your arms up as you look out over the lawn. You can still hear the laughter of your uncles from inside the Bradshaw home, the warm yellow lights making the backyard glow. âDid you?âÂ
He nods, his head once, his dimples popping out as he thinks. âWouldâve been nice to win the big game, end my senior year on a high note but-â He cuts himself, shrugging. âIt was just good to see everyone regardless.âÂ
You nod, letting your chin fall to rest on your arms. âYou played good.âÂ
âThanks.âÂ
It falls silent between the two of you as you look out into the night, knowing that in just a few weeks, Bradley would graduate.Â
The Naval Academyâs resounding No had been a rejection felt by all, a bitter sting Bradley carried with him everyday.Â
Still, you knew he had a bright future, and you knew that when he left for UVA, he may go and never look back.Â
You knew that tonight, all of your honorary uncles in town to watch Bradley for the big game, the dinner and party celebrating him and his graduation, was one of the last times your family would be together like this.Â
âWhatâre you thinking about?â He asks softly.Â
You shrug, not moving your head from where itâs watching the stars. âJust... taking it all in, you know? Before I have to say goodbye to you.â
He punches your shoulder lightly. âHey, youâre not getting rid of me that easily.âÂ
You shrug. âI know.âÂ
You didnât know.Â
Bradley had been your best friend since diapers, an unbeatable team, but a nagging feeling had been growing in your stomach that everything was about to change in ways you didnât even realize.Â
âIâm just gonna miss you, you know? Donât forget about wittle olâ me, okay?â You joke, finally turning to look at him.Â
âHow could I?â He whispers, scooching impossibly closer to you so that your knees knock together. âIâm not going anywhere. Even if I'm not here, Iâll still be here.âÂ
You sigh, glancing away to the twinkling lights above. âI know. But I mean, Iâm really going to miss you B. Like, who is supposed to hang out with me at school and who am I going to do homework with and go out to ice cream with all the time?â You look at him once more, even though his eyes never left yours. âYouâre my best friend in the whole world, Bradley. We do everything together; we always have. What am I supposed to do without you?âÂ
His hand comes to rest on the back of your neck, moving some hair out of your face before he gently wipes a stray tear away. His hand is soft, warm, comforting. âHey, hey, hey, please donât cry. You can still call me whenever you want and- and you can even visit me at UVA for spring break if Mavâll let you. Iâll be visiting every chance I get and who knows, maybe weâll be here in a year celebrating your graduation and youâll be joining me at UVA.âÂ
You can do nothing but give him a soft, albeit watery, smile. You want to cling to the hope that he has, that this will all turn out okay, but itâs hard to look past the gnawing feeling in your stomach that this might be the last time it was all like this.Â
Heâs watching you carefully, unable to look away before he lets out a breath, hand still resting on the back of your neck. âHey, um, I- thereâs something Iâve been meaning to talk to you about.âÂ
âYeah?â You raise your head slightly but not enough to displace Bradleyâs hand.Â
His eyes flicker down to your lips, a movement that makes you swallow hard.Â
âYeah, Iâve um- Iâve been thinking, about all of this and I um-â
âHey, what are the two of you doing up there?âÂ
Itâs Sliderâs voice as the patio light flickers to life, your uncle stepping out onto the cement.Â
Bradleyâs hand falls from your neck in an instant, leaving you the degrees cooler than you had been just moments before.Â
âThe two of you arenât supposed to be up there, you know this.â He walks over to the tree with his hands on his hips, squinting up at you. âThat wood is extraordinarily old and could break with too much weight. I donât particularly feel like going to the ER tonight and I donât think you would either, so-â He waves a hand, motioning for the both of you to climb down.Â
Bradley heaves a sigh before lifting himself up, moving to climb down. Heâs gotten two rungs down before he glances back up at you. âYou coming?âÂ
You swallow, glancing at him before looking back at the stars.Â
âIâll get your Dad, kid.â Slider threatens and when you make no move to climb down, he turns. âPete!âÂ
Your Dad appears in your line of vision a few minutes later, Bradley and Slider both having gone back inside.Â
He gives you an understanding smile before tipping his head to the sliding glass door. âCome on kid, come on in. Weâre gonna have dessert here in a little.âÂ
âFive more minutes?âÂ
He sighs, sticking his hand in his pockets. âKiddo-â
âPlease?âÂ
He sighs again, before bowing his head. Thatâs how you know youâve won, because heâs never been able to say no to you. âFive minutes, no more. You hear me?âÂ
âFive minutes.â You confirm, before he goes back inside.Â
You swallow around the lump in your throat that's been growing.Â
You canât help that hope that five more minutes between you and the stars, up here where it feels like nothing can touch you, might alleviate the heaviness in your heart, the fear of whatâs to come.Â

Isabella sighs
Maxime: Mother
Isabella: (to herself) Give me strength
Maxime: Why is Maria Aisha on the cover of SNN?
Isabella: Oh yes, I saw that. Sheâs been doing well in reinventing her image
Maxime: I didnât come here to hear you compliment her mother
Isabella: Then what is it?
Maxime: Why are you taking her out on engagements when I havenât been on a single one this year?
Isabella: Weâre still pretty early in the year Maxi, and you know why. Aisha was sent here because of her public image and she needs to go on engagements to fix that. But that is how things work in Pierreland. Whereas we, in Saliceau, have a rule to keep you out of the press as much as possible until you become full working members of the royal family. That means after you graduate from high school at the least, ideally youâd have to wait until you finish from University.
Maxime: But sheâs in high school too!
Isabella: And the reason for her presence in the media is because of her family, not because of me.Â
Isabella: (sighs) I donât know what your hurry is Maxi but everyone has to wait until theyâre ready. Graduation aside I still donât think youâre ready for formal engagements yet
Maxime: Of course you donât. Because Iâm not Juliette
Isabella: Juliette is older and is set to graduate University soon. So yes, she is more prepared for royal work than you are,Â
Maxime: So now youâre not even hiding the fact that you prefer her to me
Isabella: Maxime, how on earth is that what youâre getting from what Iâm saying?
Maxime: You know, you have so much sympathy for Raphael with the way heâs treated in his family yet you have no sympathy for your own daughter who is treated exactly the sameÂ
Isabella: Maxime-
Maxime: Forget it mum
Matthew: Hey Maxi!
Maxime: ...
Matthew: Okay...?
Matthew: Goodness, Iâm exhausted
Isabella: ...
Matthew: Uh oh, did I miss something?
Isabella: (sighs) Yes you did but Iâll sort it out later
Matthew: Are you sure? You know I handle Maxi better than you do
Isabella: I always seem to forget that
Matthew: Well you canât be perfect at everything, at least leave something for me to handle
Isabella: About our plans for next weekend, Iâm afraid I have to cancel
Matthew: Has something happened?
Isabella: Itâs mother. The doctor said she might have a brain tumor
Matthew: What?
Isabella: But he canât be sure because she hasnât had a scan yet.Â
Matthew: Which would be impossible to get her to do
Isabella: I know. But Iâm going to try and get her to go to Matinaux with me next weekend so we can be alone and I can convince her to get the scan done. Thatâs why I have to cancel our plans. Iâm sorry
Matthew: Why are you apologising when Iâm coming with you?
Isabella: Matty
Matthew: Iâm not going to let you go into this alone. Besides, your mother likes me so maybe sheâll be more convinced if she knew I was there to support you too.Â
Isabella: What would I do without you?

132 Thoughts I Had While Watching: The School For Good and Evil (2022)
Jesper, what are you doing here, and why is there two of you?Â
And where is your accent?Â
One of you is evil and one is goo - oh, the title makes sense now.Â
âI prefer chaos.â I mean we all love a bit, buddy, but youâre going too far.Â
And bad guy fell off a cliff and died a tragic death, the end.Â
Look at this ballroom.Â
CATE BLANCHETT IS THE NARRATOR? I LOVE THIS ALREADY.Â
Hey, itâs Lydia from Beetlejuice!Â
That cottage is so pretty, I wanna live there so bad.Â
Agatha makes me feel so much more confident with my Merida hair.Â
She has a cat named Reaper, and lives by a graveyard? Thatâs adorable.Â
âHey, Ugly.â Dude, have you looked in a mirror?Â
Devilleâs? Like Cruella Deville?Â
I love how people can call this girl a witch while she pets a baby goat.Â
Itâs spelt Deuville? Why does that look prettier?Â
Wait, Cinderella exists in this universe?Â
âItâs a place that cannot be found, except by those who know where it is.âÂ
âI want much more than this provincial life,â ~ Sophie, definitely.Â
Youâre going out into the woods late at night? Are you crazy?!Â
Yep, girl is delulu. (Thatâs apparently a word now.)Â
That bird kinda gives me Alice in Wonderland vibes.Â
Wait, they got the schools mixed up? Princess and the Pauper, anyone?Â
How To Lose a Girl in Five Seconds: Tell her her hair looks like cake.Â
So this is basically Descendants?Â
âItâs cleaner than my own hand, trust me.â ~ an actual quote.Â
Okay, but why does the Never school look cooler?Â
The Groom Room? Oh, I get it you groom yourself to look pretty.Â
AHH, THEYâRE PLAYING SLEEPING BEAUTY MUSIC!!!!!Â
You know, I donât blame Agatha, some clothes can be itchy.Â
I thought Hort would be Diavalâs son. Not Captain Hookâs.Â
If you donât know who that is, go watch Maleficent, please.Â
Sword and dance routine? Get it? Instead of song and -- nevermind.Â
âThe brave prince charming approaches!â ~ Sophie, maybe
Actually, heâs King Arthurâs son.Â
Yep, this is basically Descendants.Â
Fire for the fire god.Â
Agatha, you need some confidence.Â
Laurence Fishburne? I swear youâre EVERYWHERE.Â
âCool, I get a whole room to myself.â ~ Agatha, maybe.Â
We even have the daughter of the Sheriff of Nottingham??Â
Agatha, you should have known the statues would come to life.Â
Wait, I thought Evil Jesper was dead?Â
Oh, itâs some weird hallucination thingy.Â
Thereâs evil and thereâs threatening to drop someone from a building.Â
Learn to tell the difference.
Find the school master and plead their case, yup sounds SUPER easy.Â
âYou know we can hear you narrating, you weirdo!â ~ An actual quote.Â
The narrator is a pen?Â
True loveâs kiss can break the spell.Â
I LOVE THE SONGS IN THIS!!!Â
Thereâs an ugly class and beauty class?Â
You fail if no one asks you to the ball? Guess that counts me out.Â
Hold on, is that Michelle Yeoh? THIS CAST IS AWESOME!Â
Gregor Charming is kinda cute.Â
Poor guy is queasy around blood? I mean.... same.Â
Whyâs Sophieâs vanity kind of annoying?Â
Thereâre people living in the trees!Â
See? Tedros loves to hear her talk about cats?Â
Did he say âopen the effing door?â or am I going crazy.Â
Gregor, you need a dash of good luck.Â
Gnome humour is funny, guys, admit it!Â
Gregor, NO!!!!!!!!!!! You were the only character I liked in this movie.Â
Hort grew one chest hair in magic class. Good for you, buddy.Â
HOLY -- THIS GIRL CAN MAKE HER DRAGON TATTOO COME ALIVE!Â
ITâS ACTUALLY COMING OUT OF HER SHOULDER!Â
Girl is wacko!Â
Oh, but Evil Jesper comes in surrounded by bees to save the day.Â
âSophie, youâre not allowed to kill anyone until after graduation.âÂ
Bees are my greatest fear, so uh, Iâd be outta there in ten milleseconds.Â
This centuries old guy is weirdly into Sophie and Iâm not sure I like that.Â
Wish Fish? It sounds cool, but I donât trust it for some reason.Â
I kinda want the mean girls to fail. I know thatâs not nice, but.....
Agatha wishes for hope and a person comes out of the lake?Â
Itâs because of a girl that all the wishes are granted?Â
ITâS GREGOR, EVERYONE! HEâS THE BIRD -- AND HEâS DEAD.Â
Professor, she just saw her friend die, thatâs whatâs wrong with her!Â
Bad professor cut Sophieâs hair? I mean, not the worst that could happen.Â
Girl, calm down. At least you arenât dead.Â
Rafal, dude, you gotta chill, friend. (Yeah, thatâs Evil Jesperâs name)Â
She wants to kiss Tedros, but I think he likes Agatha.Â
Gonna admit, that dip was smooth.Â
A finger glow? A finger prick? LIKE SLEEPING BEAUTY!Â
Looks like it hurts. Iâll skip, thanks.Â
Sophie looks good with the glow up not gonna lie
YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN!?Â
GUYS, GO LISTEN TO THIS SOUNDTRACK RIGHT NOW!Â
Sophie, Tedros is Aggieâs man. Youâve got golden retriever boy.Â
DARK HAIR, WHITE SHIRT, BLACK PANTS? THE DEADLY COMBO!Â
Aggie used her power to help her friend. She deserves better.Â
Everybody Loves Tedros, except for the other Nevers.Â
An Ever and a Never together? OH, THE HORROR!Â
Hold on, why are they all mad? Wouldnât this unite the schools?Â
Never heard of a trial by tail before, or is it tale?Â
The trial begins at sundown instead of midnight? Nice switch.Â
Sending them into the forbidden forest? Mâkay.Â
DO NOT THE FLOWERS!Â
âWith the power of the finger glow, I save you!â ~ Tedros, maybe.Â
Is that a mace-wielding pumpkin-headed grim reaper?Â
The princess is going to save the prince? Interesting twist!Â
Pumpkin man just exploded. Thatâs gonna be messy!Â
Agatha saved them and this is the thanks she gets?Â
Agatha is the only one with any sense around here.Â
She wrote Sophie a letter, too. :â(Â
PLEASE TELL ME RAFAL DOESNâT KISS SOPHIE!
Heâs centuries old and sheâs seventeen at the oldest.Â
Rafal and the Evil Professor were a thing?Â
Agatha is the most devoted friend in the world.Â
I turned my back for one second and Sophieâs a witch???Â
Honey, weâve all experienced heartbreak, but this is too much.Â
The Never Ball looks cool, to be honest.Â
Iâm sorry, Sophie, I canât take you seriously right now.Â
Okay, she changed back, but now sheâs crazy.Â
You attacked them first.Â
A COVER OF TOXIC DURING A BATTLE SCENE??Â
Have I mentioned this soundtrack is freaking epic?!Â
This is the best scene in the whole movie.Â
Since when does Sophie have shape-shifting powers?Â
LAURENCE FISHBURN IS RAFAL?Â
Oh, he just shapeshifted into him after murdering him.Â
Thatâs where youâre wrong, my guy. Iâm chaos!Â
Wait, he kissed Sophie?? I should have seen it coming but...Â
âMy love?â Dude, what? SHEâS LIKE.... Seventeen, right??Â
AGATHAâS HERE TO SAVE THE DAY!Â
I TURNED AWAY FOR FIVE MINUTES AND SOPHIEâS INJURED.Â
THEY SAID THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!!!!!Â
TRUE LOVEâS KISS.Â
IâM NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!!!!Â
THE PROFESSORS ARE SO IN LOVE AND IâM HERE FOR IT!
Tedros and Aggie are separating??? Nooooo!Â
Well at least she and Sophie will be together.Â
It says theyâre siblings in the book. DARN IT!!!!!
THERE ARE GONNA BE MORE MOVIES, THOUGH!!!
Staying for the ending credits visual and songs.Â
#the school for good and evil#I've been wanting to cross it off my list for AGES#this was super fun#sophie x agatha#I shipped the main girls so bad#that battle scene though

â„, âź, âŒ, & â
for Adrian?
â„ -Â family headcanon
Well I THOUGHT I knew it but nooooo someone refused to have daddy/mommy issues đ this is more an overview but Eh
Both Adrian's parents are alive and relatively well (her dad mmmmight have lost a hand once) through the events of the games, but the Shepards kind of drifted apart by the time 2183 rolls around, and frankly there's some severe awkwardness on Adrian's end because like- her parents love her. They've been very supportive. She is eternally glad that, despite never making it any secret that they hoped to be grandparents someday, they took 'hey so you don't have a daughter and my plans involve saying goodbye to most reproductive organs as soon as legally possible' with minimal fuss and were more focused on seeing her happy and well, especially since she was getting all that handled before Basic.
But also holy shit the Alliance is a mess, maybe it was kind of fucked up being raised that hard into it, and their lowkey pushing for her to be Spectre ready are kind of directly why she's gotten so severely fucked up and couldn't even fathom a life outside military service & combat until she was in her thirties.
(Things do get sorted okay in the end, though. And her parents are quite welcoming of their drell and krogan grandsons, much to everyone's relief/intense awkwardness)
⌠- childhood headcanon
From birth to age 18, Adrian has spent roughly 3 weeks on Earth itself (and that's counting a 2 week vacation when she was 16). That time got upped a decent bit during N7 training, but still- humanity's greatest hero hasn't spent so much as half a year on the homeworld. (Her family did spend time on most of the major human colony worlds though- and a memorable month in one of Proteus' underwater habitats! Incidentally, while she was a very good student, a solid 75% of Adrian's education was remote learning xD)
â
 - sad headcanon ⟠- friendship headcanon
While she joined the Alliance at 18, her first four years were spent going through officer training & university. There was a solid little group that formed among Adrian's class - most were young, but there were a few older outliers, new recruits, or longer service coming back for education. Some were spacers, most were from colonies, and a few were from Earth. The core group performed well together, and Adrian was regarded as... kind of the dork tech, actually lol. But her enthusiasm at being with one group for more than a year or so made up for it, she was the one most often trying to organize get-togethers or mediate disputes; there were about a solid fifteen who ran together. They were moved around a fair bit upon graduation, of course, but usually, at least a couple of them would wind up together... and it wasn't long before all of them wound up together again in 2177, under a newly-commissioned Shepard's lead, to investigate the sudden silence of a quiet little colony...

Unbreakable Bond
(A/N): This is based on this post and this tiktok
Summary: A big age gap between Aaron's children doesn't have to mean that they are unable to form a strong bond
Warnings: Mentions of Haley's death and failed relationships
Wordcount: 1.8k
âšMasterlistâš
_________________________________
His life took turns Aaron never expected. Itâs not the âOh, mh, well that was unexpectedâ-type of turns, I talk about the âGod played Cards Against Humanity with angels and decided to make it happen for someoneâ-type. But looking back he would not want to change a thing.
After Haley and Beth he was convinced that God, the Universe, something out there shared the opinion that romantic love isnât the right thing for him and Aaron accepted that fact. Even more when he and Jack went into witness protection. I mean, when you are worried about the life of your family being in danger because of a stalker, you donât think about the beautiful neighbor, who lives next door, right? Right?
Well, without going into too much detail, Hotch did think about her and she about him and vice versa. Everything went good until Aaron received the message that the team found the stalker and that it was safe to come back. He decided to come clean to his girlfriend. They talked about the possibility of moving back to Quantico.
In the end they decided in favor of the move, the final argument was the surprising announcement of her being pregnant. Hotch wants to raise their youngest where his and Jackâs roots are located. But he decides against taking a position at the BAU, instead taking a desk job in order to be more at home. He also has the opportunity to work from home after little (Y/N) was born and continues to do so until she is old enough to go to Kindergarten. Even then he takes two days the week where he stays home. Aaron learned from his decisions and mistakes he made in the past and wants to live up to them and be a better father and husband than before.
And Hotch keeps it to this day, six years later. Itâs (Y/N)âs first day of school, while Jack just graduated high school and goes off to college in a few weeks. Even though they have an age gap from twelve and a half years, their parents are sure there are no other siblings with such a strong bond.
Ever since his baby sisterâs birth Jack is her biggest supporter, protector and friend. Her first word was his name, though it was more of a âACK!â, but thatâs the best nickname he ever got. As soon as (Y/N) was old enough to comprehend the concept of movies, he introduced her to Star Wars. Since then lightsaber wars out of cardboard pipes are not uncommon. Last Halloween they even dressed up as Chewbakka and Han Solo. You get three guesses on who was who.
âJACK!â (Y/N) runs into her big brotherâs room with an excited expression on her face. âDaddy promised to buy me a real lightsaber after I read ten books! With lights and sounds and all! Isnât that cool?â Jack smiles. Aaron did a similar thing with him. For a certain amount of books he got a reward they discussed beforehand. This way he felt motivated to read and improved writing and reading skills.
âThis is awesome. I think that means we have to go book shopping together, what do you think?â (Y/N) is not only the cool kid that has an older brother, she is also the cool kid, whose older brother has a drivers license, a car and a part time job. She nods with big eyes, speechless, because the offer sounds like heaven to her. Getting books and one on one time with Jack after he was really busy with school for weeks? This has to be heaven.
âOk, then you put your outside clothes on and Iâll tell Dad about our plan.â At that the little girl rushes to her room, not wanting to waste any more time. Jack makes his way down to the kitchen, where Aaron wipes the table from lunch down.
âDad, I take (Y/N) to this bookstore in DC and weâll probably go eat ice cream after that. Is that alright?â Hotch looks up at his son. It still feels like yesterday as he told Haley that Gideon is a big no as a baby name. Now he is all grown up and just a few weeks away from the next big chapter in his life.
âOf course, just let me get my wall-â Jack cuts him off. âNo need, I want to use this as a kind of goodbye thing. At least until Thanksgiving.â Aaron knows what he means. Itâs his last day before he goes off to college and just a couple more until the first classes begin. The family still hasnât told their youngest exactly whatâs going on. Else she would refuse to go to school and go on with her day, insisting on using all the time they have until Jack drives off.
Two hours later the siblings leave the bookstore, both of them having a bag in their hands. Of course Jack's heavier, but both he and the cashier assured (Y/N) that they lift the same amount of weight.
âUncle Spence will be excited when I tell him that I read Harry Potter, he told me so many good things about itâ, the girl gushes. Jack nods, indicating that he is listening. Of course they also picked books that are not that advanced. Still, no sister of his shall grow up without knowing the beauty of the wizarding world. Also, secretly he is hoping for her to turn out as nerdy as he is so they get more things to talk about. His next step is superheroes, especially the Marvel ones.
They converse until they get to an ice cream parlor and order both their usuals. âDo you think you are ready for me to tell you something important?â The older one asks after they sit down at a table. (Y/N) nods, confusion taking over her face.
âUhm, you know how I graduated from high school? Iâm done with school, but I want to get a degree, but for that I have to go to college. Itâs pretty far away so I canât come home for a few months. But Iâm back home when Thanksgiving is and also for Christmas.â It doesnât matter what Jack says, a sad frown has formed on the little oneâs face. âOh. And after Christmas, will you leave again?â He nods and explains when he is off from college and when not.
âWe can always skype and write letters. How does that sound? And when you get your first phone, we can even text.â That (Y/N) lights up a bit. For her first year of school she got a stationary set and is eager to use it to this day.
âIâm going to miss you so muchâ, she says hugging her big brother. Jack pats her back. âIâll miss you, too.â
The goodbye the next day is a heartfelt matter. Everybody cries, especially (Y/N). She canât fathom a scenario where her brother isnât there for her all the time.
The following weeks are also hard for the family. The youngest refuses to sleep alone for the first three days after Jackâs leave. She is more closed off and mainly just does her school work or reads the books he bought for her. By the time Thanksgiving is only away for another two weeks, (Y/N) has read through all of them at least two times.
Her father already ordered the lightsaber he promised her. Unfortunately shipping takes several months, so the little girl still has to wait patiently for her reward to arrive. In the meantime she works on getting the next and she is already pretty close to the comic book collection she wants.
âSweetheart, can you set the table, please? Your Mom will be here soon from grocery shopping and she will need help getting them from the car into the houseâ, Hotch calls for his daughter while stirring in a pot.
The little girl nods, putting her stationary set and pens aside to do as her father asked. She is in the middle of answering her brotherâs last letter, telling him that she is now the one that usually has to read aloud for the class because of her advanced skill for a first grader.
Just as she sets the last piece of silverware down the doorbell rings. âSweetie, can you please open it? This should be your mother.â Happily (Y/N) runs up and turns the door knob. Over the last few months she hit a small growing spurt and is finally tall enough to reach it without standing on her tippy toes.
âMo-â She nearly chokes on her own saliva. The one at the door is definitely not her mother. âJACK!â (Y/N) runs up to him and jumps onto his leg. âHey Princess. I thought now that you read your books, we need to hold the most amazing lightsaber fight in history.â With a mischievous smile he pulls two from his back, giving one to his baby sister.
It is the most epic fight in history between an elementary schooler and a college boy. They can only be stopped by their parents announcing that it is a tie between both of them and that they have to sit down, else the food gets cold.
The following weeks mostly consist of (Y/N)âs joyous laughs and cuddling with her big brother. She even insists on him sleeping with her in her much smaller bed. On his last night before going back to college, the little girl turns to him in the middle of watching her favorite movie in the living room.
âDo you promise not to forget me when you are away? Because I alway think about you and tell my friends so much about you. I told them you are a hero, my hero, just like Daddy. They wanna meet you because of that.â Jack has to hold back tears at her statement.
âI also think of you so much. All of my friends at college are pretty jealous of me having such a sweet baby sister. Maybe one time you can visit me and I can introduce you to them.â The thought of that makes (Y/N) smile and is a little consolation to the thought of her brother leaving again.
Aaron watches the interaction going down, happy to see the strong bond between his children, despite their age gap. This is nothing like he and Sean were and that is a relief for him and the worries he had in the beginning. It is a sign that he did do some things right as a father.

Omg yes of course! Though I would like to see a dad Harry or a wedding related blurb and/or imagine :))
Have a great day!!
dadrry is my favourite! letâs go!!
September 14th. The dreaded day.
This day had been a long time coming and one that you hadnât properly prepared yourself for. Harry was very relaxed about it all, teasing you when you cried for being such a wuss. Your emotions just seemed to overrule your mind and the tears were out once more.
âI donât want her to!â You sobbed against Harryâs chest like a big olâ baby.
Both of you were cuddled up on the couch, you snuggled tight into Harryâs side. His arm was around you back and laying rest on your waist, whilst he constantly gave you forehead kisses to soften your cries. The TV was playing some quiz show, but neither of you were watching anymore.
âLovie, she has to.â Harry softly laughed at how ridiculous you were being, but at the same time keeping himself strong because he, too, wanted to cry now.
âBut sheâs too young!â You whined louder than a 3 year old being denied sweets.
âY/N, love, sheâs five. Itâs time okay?â
âNo. Sheâs my little girl.â You pouted, tears in your eyes but no longer streaming down your face.
âAnd she still is your little girl. Mine too. Sheâs just going to little people school now,â Harry kisses your cheek as you looked up at him, âsheâs going to learn so many new and exciting things, yeah? Sheâll make so many friends - if sheâs anything like her parents, which believe me she is.â
You laughed at his attempt to cheer you up a bit. You werenât ready to admit to yourself that your baby was going to school. It felt like yesterday you were taking her home from the hospital and beckoning to her every cry, now she was so independent for a 5 year old that you sometimes felt useless.
âSheâll be graduating university before we know it.â
âBaby, I think youâre getting a bit ahead of yourself there!â Harry chuckled, catching a tear from the corner of your eye and wiping it on his joggers.
âMaybe.â You rolled your eyes in agreement with him, but not wanting to admit that out loud.
You tucked your head back against his chest and hugged him tighter, not wanting to feel like you were losing anyone else. You hiccuped your cries away as you finished watching the end of the crappy TV show, before going to bed together and dreading the next day.
âąâąâąâą
âUh oh.â
The house was frantic this morning and it really didnât need to be. You were preparing Poppyâs snacks for the day, whilst Harry was double checking the checklist for things she needed and Poppy was eating her breakfast. Well, trying to eat her breakfast.
âOh Poppy!â You sighed when you saw that the milk from her cereal had gone all over her jumper. Luckily, you were a prepared mum and had bought two of everything. âOk arms up.â You told her and she did, pausing herself from her Coco Pops.
You threw the dirty jumper into the washing machine and pulled out a clean one from the airing cupboard.
âHere, let me.â Harry offered, seeing as you were still cutting up fruit and vegetables for her.
âThank you.â Kissing him on the lips before getting back to your station.
âAlright little miss, arms up.â Harry ordered his daughter. âYouâre a right messy eater arenât you?â
âMhm.â Poppy said, quite flat and quiet.
âHey Hops, whatâs wrong sweetheart?â Harry had forever called his daughter Hops as a nickname, because when she was first trying to say her name she couldnât pronounce the âPâ so would call herself âHoppyâ instead.
Poppy looked down at her cereal as Harry was adjusting the jumper on her accordingly.
You were quietly putting the snacks inside a container as you listened to their conversation.
âJust scared daddy,â she pouted, âI donât think iâll make many friends.â
âHops, listen to me,â Harry made his daughter look at him and crouched down on the floor - so he was now looking up at her, âyouâre going to have the best time of your life in school, okay? Youâre going to make so many friends and every day is going to be an adventureââ
âLike the ones me and you have, daddy?â Poppy asked excitedly, making you smile to yourself.
âExactly like that, baby. Except they wonât be as good, because I wonât be there.â
âWell I donât want them to be as good if youâre not there.â Poppy cupped her dads cheek so softly, it brought tears to Harryâs eyes.
Pull it together, Harry thought.
âYouâre going to be safe there Hops, and youâll just love it.â
âOkay daddy.â She nodded. âLove you.â
âLove you, too. Now go brush your teeth and then weâll go.â Poppy hopped off the chair and went upstairs to brush her teeth - carefully this time.
âąâąâąâąâą
Harry just had to bring his fucking huge Range Rover.
You wouldâve been quite happy to turn up in your civil Mini Cooper, but no. Harry said first day impressions are the most important and so âgo big or go homeâ.
As Harry finally found a parking space big enough to to fit his asshole car in, you were finally at your destination. The first trip to this school of many.
âAlright baby, letâs do this.â You had no idea whether Harry had said that to you or Poppy, but both of you listened and began to climb out of the car. Poppy waited for Harry to open her door and hoist her out of the car - seeing as this stupid car was far too high up for her to climb.
Could you tell you hated this showy car?
Poppy took ahold of both your hands, walking in between you both. She was happily humming to herself whilst you and Harry sussed out the playground. Some children were stood cowered behind their parents legs and some were already playing tag with each other by the swings.
The sound of screaming children was so loud, but it created an atmosphere of happy chaos.
âYou okay Hops?â
âYep!â Poppy was more than excited now - she just wanted the day to start.
You and Harry went to go and stand over by some other parents who were just as lost as your family was.
âHi? Excuse me,â you waited for them to turn around, smiling with happy faces - their daughter stood behind one of her dadâs legs in fear, âdo you know where the Reception students are supposed to go right now?â
âSomeone said theyâd be out in five minutes to round them all up, I think.â One dad spoke back.
âThank you!â You reached out your hand to shake theirs, âHi iâm Y/N Styles. This is my husband, Harry and my daughter Poppy.â
âNice to meet you. Archie and Felix Johnson. This our daughter, Millie.â
Everyone introduced themselves by shaking hands, but what surprised you all was the interaction between your two, seemingly, timid daughters.
âHi Millie! Would you like to be my friend?â Poppy walked up to her and asked politely. Millie had appeared from behind her parents and excitedly nodded her head in yes.
âąâąâąâąâą
After school Poppy was a bundle of energy and happiness. She couldnât wait to talk about her day with her two favourite people.
âSo how was school then, sweetheart?â You asked her on your car journey back home.
âIt was so really good,â her grammar not being entirely correct, but you not having the heart to correct her yet, âand thereâs this boy in my classâŠâ
As she continued to talk you looked to Harry with a smirk, seeing his face full of disgust and soft anger. Harry spoke one final time, before your attention was fully dedicated to Poppy.
âSheâs moving schools.â

Chapter 2 : Fun Times Are Over | Series Masterlist
Inhaling sharply, I stared back at the monster in front of me. Tears welling up quickly in my eyes, upon looking at him.
âDad!â I cried out, lunging my body at him
BANG!
.
.
.
The collar of my dress was quickly pulled back and the air was knocked out of my chest as I landed face front to a womanâs body. Another gunshot rang through the hallways of the laboratory we were staying at. The screams and groans from the monster, used to be known as my father, had ceased. Tears were already streaming down my face and I started screaming at her for shooting him.
âN-No! Whyâd you kill him! We could have-ve saved h-him! Get away!â I tried pushing her back but to no avail, she was just too strong for me.
âShh⊠Hey kid, I need you to be quiet, those monsters are still out thereâŠâ She wrapped her arm around me, whispering sweet nothings into my ear, desperately trying to stop my wailing.
It took me a good few minutes before I stopped crying, too overwhelmed and tired for my mind to process anything else, âHey, youâre daughter of (L/n) Izanagi, right?â She questioned with a sympathetic look
Though my voice was hoarse and my throat hurt, âY-YesâŠâ I answered quietly
âI need to get you out of here. Thereâs someone important looking for youâŠâ She mumbled mostly to herself, âAre you alright? You donât seem to have any major injuries.â She inspected my body.
âNopeâŠâ I said dejectedly
âGood, why donât we get out of here?â She offered me her hand with a smile trying to make me trust her.
âWho⊠Who are youâŠ?â I asked taking her hand
âThe nameâs Jill Valentine.â She cocked her gun, pointing it at another monster, letting out another deafening bang.
.
.
.
âHuh!â I jolted awake from my nightmare to someone shaking my shoulders gently
I rubbed my eyes trying to take away the tiredness from it. The blurriness of the world faded slowly but surely, the classroom I was staying at is class 1-Aâs homeroom. Well I mean my classroom, Iâve joined this class since the beginning of the year and Iâve made good friends and acquaintances while Iâm here. And todayâs is exactly 2 months before classes end for us and weâll graduate to become 2-A students. (We graduate on March 13). The whole school was a bit dark because the lights were switched off since itâs already after school and thereâs only a few students left, so that they can save electricity. The only source of light was coming from the dark, gloomy, and cloudy sky. âIt looks like itâs going to rain soon, shit I forgot my umbrella. Looks like Iâm going to get home wet.â I internally cursed at myself, letting out a groan in annoyance. Turning around to face the person who thankfully woke me up or I might have slept overnight at school.
âYouâve been asleep. Class ended about 2 hours ago, I didnât want to disturb you since you seem so peaceful sleeping.â Todoroki-kun implored before I could even say anything.
âThank you, Todo-kun⊠Why are you still here though?â I gushed embarrassedly, a large blush adorning my face.
âYou forgot. You and I were supposed to clean the classroom today.â He blurted out with a slight amusement in his eyes as the realization set in my brain.
I stood up, bowing deeply at him, âOh God! Iâm so sorry Todoroki-kun! Iâm really really really sorry! I didnât mean to fall asleep and let you clean the classroom all by yourself!â He laughed at my distress, making me stop and become dumbfounded, âDid you just laugh?â I quickly straighten my back at that, eyes widen in surprise
âMe? Making the Todoroki Shoto laugh?! Thatâs fucking impossible!â I screamed internally at how adorable his laugh was. I had to bite my lower lip harshly to hide the smile threatening to creep its way onto my face.
âYeah, I did. Is there a problem?â He asked genuinely confused as to what was wrong with him laughing.
âNo, itâs not that⊠I just- didnât think you laughed much since you know, I barely even see you smileâŠâ With a flustered smile I spoke quietly, playing with the ends of my hair.
âI donât, but that doesnât mean I canât laugh, canât I?â He smiled, taking a step towards me, almost closing the distance between our bodies.
âNo, it doesnât.â Giving him a beaming smile, I closed the distance between our bodies.
This tension has been going on for months now. I could tell weâve both been pinning on each for quite a while now. And finally, it seems like weâre getting somewhere other than just staring at the back of each otherâs heads. We started to slowly lean into each other's faces, tilting our heads on the opposite side to meet each other more comfortably. Wrapping both of his arms around my waist to pull me in closer, I could feel his breath hitting my face and I blushed heavily at it, my hands awkwardly placed themselves around his neck, instinctively pulling him closer to me. Only an inch separated the two of us when we both closed our eyes at the same time, the gloomy clouds outside and the dark atmosphere of the classroom, faded into the background.
âCan I kiss you?â He asked bashfully
âDo you need to ask? Of course you can.â I replied just as embarrassed as he was.
With a little push forward, we finally closed the distance between our lips. I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach and I smiled into the kiss, our lips moving in sync to each other, never breaking for a single moment. This was my first ever kiss and it was so fucking perfect! I have never felt this happy in my life! I feel like Iâm floating on cloud 9! The grip on my waist tightened as if he feared if he let go heâd break the moment so I followed his actions, tightening my grip around his neck.
We stayed like that for a second more before he swiped his tongue across my lip. Getting what he was hinting at, I obliged at his request and opened my entrance. He quickly shoved his tongue in my mouth and our tongues engaged in a battle for dominance which, of course he won. Before he could continue, heavy rain started pouring from outside the classroom, breaking our moment. We quickly pulled away from each other, a string of saliva connecting from our tongue's embarrassment clearly written into our faces. I had to grab onto the seat for support, my legs feeling weak from the kiss. The both of us breathed in heavily trying to catch our breaths, but it ended up with both of us laughing our asses off.
I caught my breath first, âThat⊠Hah⊠That felt great!â I giggled
âYeahâŠâ He agreed, still trying to catch his breath, âYou know⊠Hah⊠You really confuse me, but I like that about you.â He complimented me, making me embarrassed as I was still not used to his affection.
âUmm⊠That was my firstâŠâ I confessed looking away from him, trying to change the topic.
âGood. That was mine too and Iâm glad it was with you.â Luckily he went along, his words laced with honey
âLook Todo-â He cut me off with a smile
âShoto, call me Shoto. I think weâre past formalities at this point, donât you think, (Y/n)?â He smirked at my skittish actions right after he said my first name.
âYouâre right of course, Sh-Shoto.â
âSay it again.â He demanded making my eyes go wide with shock.
Nonetheless I granted his command, âShoto.â He grinned and hugged me, diving his head into the crook of my neck.
âAgain!â His muffled voice demanded, making me laugh wholeheartedly
âShoto~â I said in a sing song voice
We stayed in the comfortable silence for a minute longer, with his head crooning a song into my neck. The moment was once again ruined by the wind, thunder, and lightning roaring and lighting up the dark and gloomy sky. I flinched at the suddenness, immediately grabbing onto the first thing in my grasp, which happened to be Shoto. My grip on him tightened and he merely laughed in amusement from my reaction, making me shiver from his ticklish breath. Diving out from under my neck, he slid both of his hands to rest on my elbows, giving me a comforting smile.
âSeems like the weather doesnât want us to part or go home yet.â His eyes gave me a suggestive look, âWe could always wait out for the rain to start becoming light. You did bring an umbrella, didn't you? They did say in the weather report that thereâd be heavy rain.â
âNope, not this time.â I gave out an ashamed laugh, trying to avoid his eyes.
âThatâs fine, it just gives us an excuse to share mine.â He proposed
Rubbing the back of my nape, âThat does seem like the perfect excuse, hehe.â I giggled
âAlright then, itâs settled. Oh, how rude of me.â He paused trying to gather his words, âDo you have a curfew? I can walk you home right now if you do, Iâll let you wear my jacket so you donât get too wet from the wind carrying the rain.â His eyebrows furrowed in concern.
I gushed at his sweet reaction, âIâm glad for you concerning me, but no need to fret over me, Sho. I live on my own so I definitely donât have a curfew.â
âOh okay.â He gave me his usual monotone voice but his eyes said it all, âEven so. Are you sure?â He sighed, taking a good look into my eyes.
Giggling, I pressed a gentle kiss onto his scar, âIâm sure.â
He looked astonished for a second after I pulled away. Tears gathered up into his eyes, then slowly they slid down from his face one by one.
Panic struck in me, âSho! Iâm so sorry! Does it hurt?! Are you alright?! Let me see! I think I have a bandaid for injures in my bag, just let me fetch them for a second!â As I was about to pull away and grab the said bandaid, Shoto pulled me back into his arms, landing effectively into his chest.
âNo, please donât go⊠â He began in between sniffles, âIâm fine⊠Just so happy that you still like me even with this big scar on my faceâŠâ
The second after I heard his words, I pulled him into a deep and passionate kiss, lasting for a few minutes before we had to part ways for a stupid thing called air.
âI love you, Sho⊠I really do, it doesnât matter to me whether or not you have a scar on your face. I fell in love with you for your personality, not your looks. But Iâll⊠Iâll admit they are a big bonus.â I spoke the truth in between huffs, he was pretty touched by the first part of my speech but ended up laughing inbetween tears at the last part with my stupid joke, pulling me into another passionate kissing session.
âI-I⊠I love you too, (L/n) (Y/n)⊠I have for a long time, I was just too scared you wouldnât feel the same. I care about you so much and I just wanted to let you know that you are the most beautiful girl in the whole world and I know I have struggles expressing my feelings⊠But I want you to know that I love you and Iâll always care you for and protect you. I love you so much!â He announced to me, making tears pool at my eyes at how sweet he was being, âWill you, (L/n) (Y/n), be my girlfriend?â He questioned with a smile through the tears
âYes!â I said lunging into his arms once again and peppering kisses all around his face, âYou sounded like you were proposing to meâŠâ I whispered into his ear with a smirk, winking at him when I saw his thunderstruck expression.
âI just want to be formal with you.â His bashful expression died and a playful look surfaced, âBesides just wait a few years and Iâll make that statement of your come through.â I stumbled back at his sudden words
âE-Eh~?!â It was my turn to dive into his neck to hide my embarrassment.
Gripping my chin gently with his finger, he lifted my head to face his, âDonât ever hide your face from me, I love seeing whatever expressions you make.â
âOh. OhâŠâ I pulled away to look away from him
He smashed his lips into mine again, âWe really kiss a lot donât we?â
âShut up and just kiss me.â He whined sheepishly
âI am.â I smirked at his reaction
I gave him another short kiss to the lips and pulled away, wiping away the stray dry tears on his face with my handkerchief. Offering him my waterbottle to rehydrate himself from crying, he took it without hesitation and finished half of the bottle, leaving the other half for me. I drank it and finished keeping my things, while he waited for me patiently. Once I finished keeping my stuff, we made our way towards the entrance of our school with our hands intertwined.
âItâs still raining but not as heavy as before. Iâll walk you home alright?â He said with a content smile
I hummed in reply, âYou donât need to do that to be a gentleman you know. I can walk home by myself perfectly fine.â
âI know, but I want to make sure my girlfriend gets home safe. It eases my mind.â He spoke modestly
âWell if it does, why should I deny you that?â I smiled, giving him a reassuring squeeze.
Being the gentleman he was, he gave me his uniform jacket in fear of me getting wet because of how small his umbrella was since it was only fit for one person. It was a tight squeeze in order to make sure that we didnât stick out of the umbrella protection. We just laughed it off and he wrapped his arm around my waist protectively, making me stay on the inside of the sidewalk.
âYouâre really sweet, Shoto. Thank you!â I said giving him a kiss on the cheek when we arrived at my house, giving him back his jacket that hung over my shoulders.
âYou donât need to thank me, Iâm just glad that you got home safe.â He replied as he took back his jacket and ram his fingers through my hair, leaning into me to give me a peck on the lips
âGoodbye Shoto, see you at school on Monday.â I kissed back
âSee you then, my love.â He smiled contentedly, leaving me right after that.
âMy love, huh? Thatâs so adorable!â I thought, walking into the single bedroom condo, shutting the door behind me and tossing my bag to the floor, right next to my bed. Flopping into the bed lazily, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and scanned through different apps. âItâs weird I had that dream before⊠I haven't had that dream since I was around 10 I think, weirdâŠâ Groaning into the pillow below me, I shifted into a different and more comfortable position on the bed.
And that was how my relationship with Shoto beganâŠ

Miss Americana
Fandom : Crossover Hawaii Five-0 x Chicago PD TV Word count : 5,610 words Pairing : Steve McGarrett x Danny Williams; Jay Halstead x reader
Summary :Â You met Williams-McGarrett family in Los Angeles and they introduced you to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Your boyfriend, Jay Halstead, doesn't know anything about this. Yet.
Author's note :
This is the fourth one shot of "Will you follow through if I fall for you" fic continuation. It would be better if you read it first. But if you don't, here's the quick summary.
This happened after I listened to a few podcasts (1 đ  2 đ 3) of Scott Caan and Alex O'Loughlin, passionately talking about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.Â
This fic does not comply to the canon of Hawaii Five-0 or Chicago PD. So if you don't follow one of the other, it should not be a hindrance, I think. Here's hoping that I'm right.

"Would you like another cup of coffee?
You look up from the book in your hand to the waiter addressing you.
"Oh, I would love to. But it's already my fourth cup of the day," You grimace at him. "Maybe I'll take a bottle of water, please? Cold, if you have one."
The waiter grins at you, "Sure thing," then leave with your empty cup of coffee.
You are supposed to meet your friend, Tim, at his house on The Bird Streets to work on a song. However, he got a sudden appointment and asked you to wait for his call to reschedule. So here you are, sitting at a Cafe/Bistro somewhere in Los Angeles, drinking too much coffee.
You check your watch and your phone. It's almost lunchtime, but your phone is still showing nothing. Alright then, you thought to yourself, back to the book. Your eyes immediately find the last paragraph you read on Astrophysics for People in a Hurry.
Five pages later, the waiter puts a bottle of water on your table, "Here it is. You sure you don't want another cup of coffee?" He jokes with you.
You laugh in response, "No, really, thank you."
The waiter leaves with a smile and turns to the table across from yours. That's when you notice somebody's sitting there.
"Good afternoon. Only for two?" The waiter lays two menu cards on the table.
"Four. My husband and daughter are parking the car." The man answers him with a smile. He has a little boy sitting next to him. His son, you guess, since both of them have blond hair. Their noses look similar too.
"Danno, can I have ice cream for lunch?" The boy begs his father, pointing at one of the delightful pictures on the card.
"Hmm, maybe." The father hums his reply. He exchanges a knowing glance with the waiter.
"Do you want anything to drink while you're waiting?"
"Soda!" The boy yells from his chair, who laughs at his father's glare.
"How about two glasses of orange juice?" The father checks to his son before confirming it with the waitress.
"Okay, be right back with your drinks."
After the waiter leaves, the boy begins to prattle about everything to his father. About giraffes at the zoo ("They are so tall like Dad!"), about his favorite ice cream flavors ("Cookie Dough. But I like Kame's shave ice better, Danno"), about swimming at Venice Beach ("There's a lot of people there, Danno. I like our beach more")
The boy doesn't even look like he needs to breathe. You can't help but let out a chuckle. His father looks up at you and shares a grin. "That's great, Charlie," He comments to his son.
You let their conversation become a white noise while you read your book.
At your periphery, you see someone passes by. However, you don't expect a hand to suddenly sneak your phone from the table. Your hand instantly grabs that wrist, trying to stop it from stealing your phone. But the thief forcefully pulls his hand out of your reach and moves away.
Unfortunately for the thief, he runs straight to the father at your neighboring table. The man has no problem flipping the thief over and pushes him to their table. When the thief squirms away from his clutch, the man lifts the thief's elbow high up and turns it behind his back in a very painful lock. The unpleasant sound coming out of the thief's mouth proves how excruciating it is.
The man's eyes wander. Many shocked faces are staring at him, including yours. "It's okay, I'm a cop," He explains.
In contrast to the crowd, the boy looks at his father in awe, gleefully clapping his hands.
"Charlie, why are you clapping? You're not supposed to clap at this. Oh my god, you are just like your father! Happy to see any aggression," The man rants as he takes out a cable tie from his trousers' pocket. You don't even know why he got cable ties in his pocket. He efficiently ties the perp's hands behind his back and forces him to sit.
Only then, the man addresses the crowd again, "Has anyone called 9-1-1?"
"I did. The police are on the way," One of the cafe's staff squeaks from the door, with a phone still in her hand.
"Excellent! Did you hear that? Your ride would be here soon," The man tightly squeezes the thief's shoulders. The thief could only reply with an agonized grunt.
Everybody else resumes their activities with a sporadic look to their table.
The boy picks up the stolen phone from the floor. It fell near his foot during the short scuffle. "Danno," He hands your phone over to his father.
"Ah, thanks, Charlie," The man ruffles the kid's hair and kisses the top of his head.
"I believe this is yours?" The man returns the phone to you. "Hope it's still working?" He cringes at the spiderweb marks on the phone screen.
"Thanks. Probably not. But it's alright." You smile at the man and offer to shake his hand, "Y/N Y/LN, thanks again for helping me,"
The man takes your hand, "Hey, no big deal. Danny Williams. And this is my son, Charlie," Danny brings Charlie in front of him. You extend your hand to Charlie as well.
All of a sudden, you hear voices yelling from behind you. "Danno! Charlie!"
You look back to see a tall, dark, imposing man and a beautiful teenage girl rushing in your direction. Charlie shouts back at them, "Daddy! Gracie!"
So you guess they must be Danny's husband and daughter.
This new man drops down to Charlie's level and checks on him, trying to see if he's injured. "Are you okay? Charlie?"
"Dad! Dad! Danno was soooo cool! He pushing and then flipping and then that man went aaargh!" Charlie re-tells the scene to his father, holding his elbow behind his back to show him.
Couldn't really understand his son's story, the man asks his husband to elaborate, "Danny, what's happening here? Why are you arresting this man?"
"I'm not arresting anybody, Steve. We don't have jurisdiction to make an arrest, you know? Since we are in LA, not Hawaii? I'm just holding this man until LAPD shows up," Danny clarifies to his husband, Steve.
"But why?" Steve is still confused.
"This guy here, what's your name?" Danny barks at the thief. But his mouth stays glued. "Really? Would you prefer my ex-SEAL here asking you the question?" Danny gestures in Steve's direction.
Steve stands tall. His hands are folded in front of his chest. His biceps bulge in his tight t-shirt. The thief's face turns green, looking fearful. Steve's scowl was probably not helping either.
"Danny?? What's going on here?" Steve begins to lose his patience.
"What?? It's no big deal, babe!" Danny yells back at Steve. "This guy here tried to nick this woman's phone. I'm just helping her," Danny motions in your direction.
"Y/N, here's my husband, Steve McGarrett, and our daughter, Grace," Danny continues to introduce you to his family. You shake their hands and exchanging simple pleasantries.
"As I said, I just helped Y/N to get her phone back. Now we are waiting for LAPD," Danny ends his explanation.
Shortly a police car comes, and two officers quickly take their statements. Initially, the police officers are bemused to find the thief already sat with his hands tied behind his back. After Danny explains that he is a Detective from Honolulu PD and how he prevented the attempted theft, the police officers understand the situation. They ask if you'd like to press charges on Tom Norris, that's the thief's name according to his ID. Considering you're not hurt, you decline on pressing charges. The police are gone with the thief sooner than you expected.
"Can I treat you lunch for your trouble? Shoot! A super late lunch?" You corrected after checking your watch.
"Hey, don't worry, it's no trouble at all," Danny says to you with a big smile.
"No, no, seriously. You guys were on holiday, I guess. But still bothered to help me. Lunch is the least I can do."
Before long, they arrange to get a table for five and talk a lot during the meal.
âąâ€
"So you guys are from Hawaii? That's nice!" You tell the family.
"See, Danno? That's what you're supposed to say about Hawaii. You're the only one who describes Hawaii as a pineapple-infested hell hole," laments Steve to his husband.
"I'm just telling the truth, babe. How about you, Y/N? Where are you from?" Danny tries to find out.
"Originally from The Netherlands, Amsterdam. But I moved to Chicago last year," You reply.
"Now that, Steve, is a city that would appreciate seasonal changes," Danny nods his approval of Chicago.
"Only you, Danno, who whines about constant sunshine." Steve grumbles.
Grace and Charlie don't react much to their parents' bickering. Too used to their silliness. But you still find it quite funny.
"So you guys are here for vacation?" You ask the family.
"Kind of. We are on holiday. Also, we are visiting the colleges here for Grace, who will graduate high school next year," Steve throws his right arm around Grace's shoulder.
"Yes, we are on an excursion to prove to Grace that LA universities are not better than the University of Hawaii," Danny quips from Steve's left.
Grace whines at his father, "Danno..."
"Danny here doesn't want his children to be far away from him," Steve enlightens you. "But I think going to school in LA would be better than The Netherlands. Wouldn't it, babe?" Steve winks at Grace.
"Do not joke about that, Steven!" Danny elbows his husband hard.
Grace looks thoughtful for a moment, "Y/N, did you go to college in the Netherlands? What do you think my chance to study there?"
"Gracie, can I come with you to This Otherlands?" Charlie innocently chirps to his sister.
Steve is laughing so loud, even after Danny punches his arm.
"What about you, Y/N? What are you doing in LA? Are you on vacation too?" Danny questions you after the laughter receded.
"I'm here for work. Most of the time, I'd do it remotely from Chicago. But sometimes I have to make the trip here or to Amsterdam," You tell them.
"What do you do?"
"I'm a music producer," You give a simple answer.
"What instruments do you play?" Steve is curious. "Guitar?"
"Mostly piano and synthesizer. I do play guitar, but I'm just an okay guitar player. I wish I could play better,"
"Dad plays guitar too!" Charlie happily declares as he points at Steve.
You cheer at Charlie's enthusiasm, "Does he? That's great!"
"Yeah, he plays very well. Maybe Dad can teach you to play better," Charlie directs you.
"Oh, yes, that would be awesome," You wholeheartedly agree with Charlie, as the rest of the table laughing at the idea of Steve teaches music.
âąâ€
"Danny, I was wondering if you could explain something to me," You turn to the man.
"Shoot," Danny nods as he puts down his juice glass.
"The arm lock that you did to the thief. Where did you learn that? Did Steve teach you that?" You ask him, genuinely want to know.
"Well, even though Steve here was the Navy SEAL," Danny glares at his husband, who replies with a smirk, "I have been working as a cop for more than 20 years now. I know some moves too,"
"But that's not a cop's move," You contradict him.
"How do you know any cop's moves?" Danny confronts you back.
"My boyfriend is a cop in Chicago," You give Danny a sheepish smile.
"Ah, I see. Did your boyfriend teach you self-defense?"
"He did. I'm nowhere near good as Jay. But it's a start," You answer Danny.
"Of course. If he's not good at it, then he's not a good cop," Danny comments without sounding too arrogant.
"Jay also taught me about guns. Personally, I don't like it, but he needs me to know about it, especially gun safety. So..." You shrug.
Danny nods his understanding, "Yeah. Be glad that he doesn't bring home grenades or other explosives," Danny gives Steve a stink eye. "Unlike some Super!SEAL here,"
Steve is immune to that look. It doesn't seem to affect him anymore.
You smile at their interaction, "Jay was an Army Ranger. After he came back, he went to Police Academy,"
"Really?" Steve looks interested.
"Oh, here we go," Danny sighs at his husband.
Steve grins but decides not to comment on it any further. He goes praising Danny instead.
"But Danny is being too modest here. He is a great fighter. Sometimes he's even better than me. Which lots of people find it surprising, considering I was a SEAL,"
"and don't you forget it, babe," Danny smirks at Steve, who returns it with a chaste kiss.
You sigh internally. Looking at the lovely couple made you miss your boyfriend, Jay.
"In all seriousness," Danny begins, "I practiced Jiu-Jitsu since high school. That's where the moves come from," He pauses to sip on his drink.
"I got my Blue Belt when I entered The Police Academy. For me, I think, I learned how to fight better in Jiu-Jitsu than what they taught us there," Danny continues.
"Do you also teach it to Grace and Charlie?" You ask the parents.
"Yeah. Danny taught them both as early as possible. Grace already got her Yellow Belt when we first met. Now she is working for her Purple Belt," Steve brags. Danny also looks so proud. Grace, though, tries so hard not to roll her eyes at her parents.
"Me too! I will get my Yellow Belt soon! Right, Danno?" Charlie exclaims.
"Of course you are kiddo. After that, you surely can beat your Dad here," Danny ruffles Charlie's hair. Steve offers his palm for a high five, but Charlie punches it instead. He giggles when Steve is faking to be hurt by Charlie's tiny fist.
"Do you think I could learn it too?" You inquire to Danny.
Danny and Steve look at each other. You're waiting for their answer, hoping that they will agree.
Before they decide anything, Grace interrupts, "We can go check out the place that Sensei Egan told us, Danno."
"Yeah, that's a great idea," Steve agrees to his daughter's suggestion. "We can check that dojo for Grace, meeting the instructor. Maybe could show some moves too for y/n,"
"Okay then. Grace, share the dojo address with y/n. We can meet you there tomorrow morning, what do you say, y/n?" Danny asks you.
You're supposed to fly back to Chicago next afternoon, but what the hell, you are very interested in this offer. "Yes, sure. If you don't mind me crashing your holiday plan again?"
"No, not at all. We need to check out that place anyway." Steve waves off your worry.
Grace passes her phone to you. "You can puy your number there. I will forward you the address,"
You tap your number to Grace's phone before groaning when you remember that your phone is dead. "Could you e-mail me instead? I don't think I could replace my phone soon,"
Danny doesn't even try to hold his laugh at your poor luck.
âąâ€
The next day, you take an Uber to the gym. No, it's The Dojo. You correct yourself. When you step in, Charlie is shouting at you from across the room. "Y/N!" Standing next to his sister, Charlie crazily waves at you, worried that you could not see him.
You remove your shoes, placed them accordingly at the remarked spot. Walking towards Charlie and Grace, you see the Williams-McGarrett clan wear similar outfits with other people in The Dojo. The only differences between them are their belts. Danny wears a Black Belt with a red stripe, while Steve wears a Brown Belt. Grace has Blue Belt, and Charlie has a White one. Knowing that you will do some workout, you wear a black t-shirt and training pants. Definitely a contrast in a room full of jiu-jitsu outfits.
Danny and Steve are talking to a guy on the other side of the room. This guy has a Black Belt with more stripes than Danny's, indicating that he is the instructor here.
"Hey, guys. Good morning," You greet Grace and Charlie. They reply with a big smile.
"Just out of interest, do you guys always bring your uniform on your holiday?" You gesture to Grace's clothes.
Grace laughs at your question, "It is called Gi. Yes, we are always bringing them along on holiday," She laughs again at your shocked face. "No, I'm joking. It's because we know we will visit this dojo, so we have our Gi with us,"
Soon Danny and Steve come over to your side. "Hi, y/n. So I talked to Sensei Marcus there," Danny gestures to the guy he spoke to. "We are going to follow their training for today. You can watch from the side if you're not sure you want to do it. The first hour would be the class for Kids and Teens,"
You see Grace and Charlie lining up in the center of the room with other children. They seem to be divided by belts instead of age.
"The next hour would be the adult class," Danny pauses for a moment. "If you want my suggestion, I encourage you to join the Teens class. I hope you don't feel insulted by that."
You chuckle at his words, "Not at all. I understand,"
"If it's too much, don't hesitate to stop and move aside. Everyone will understand," Steve adds.
You exhale softly, readying yourself, "Okay," before joining the line.
The first fifteen minutes, they start with stretching. So far, you have no problems with it. You practice Yoga for the last few years. You know how to stretch.
The next one, they teach you how to fall correctly. Which turns out to be a hard thing to do. At first, an instructor's assistant helps you. After a few moments, she moves away to help others. But you're still not doing it right. So Danny pulls you aside and teaches you privately for the rest of the hour.
You fall so many times until it tired you out. You cannot even get up from the mat. Your shoulders would have been bruised with so many times you landed incorrectly.
"Still interested to learn this?" Danny grabs your hand to help you get up.
Even though the lesson exhausts you, you feel great. You learn a lot, even from doing the same thing over and over again. "Hell yeah!" You grin at Danny.
"Crazy woman!" Danny pats your shoulders. Right where it hurts the most. You can't help but flinch away.
"Hurt, wasn't it? Why don't you go sit down on the outside of the mat with Charlie?"
Charlie sits on one side of the mat, a bottle of water in his hand. He is watching Grace, who has her hands on Steve's Gi, trying to throw Steve down.
Danny silently pays attention to his husband and daughter on the mat. But you can see his hands slightly move as if he's the one sparring.
Shortly, Grace has a chance to push Steve. Steve lost his balance for a moment before countering her attack. Grace would've fallen down hard if Steve didn't hanging to Grace's Gi so tight to slow her fall.
"That's great, Grace," Steve says to his daughter as he helps her up. They bow to each other to end the spar. Danny is clapping from outside the mat, "Good job, Monkey,"
Of course, you and Charlie follow Danny's example to cheer for Grace.
You still sit on the side of the mat, now also accompanied by Grace. You watch the next class practice, where Danny and Steve spar with other students for about an hour.
After the class is done, Steve taps on Danny's shoulder, "Danny, could you help me with this move?" He nods in the direction of the mat.
Danny responds with rolling eyes at his husband's antics.
Grace runs commentary in the background, "Dad didn't actually need help from Danno. However, you're not allowed to ask a higher belt to spar with. It's a sign of disrespect. But Dad and Danno often work differently between each other,"
You see Danny and Steve taking place at a ready position. It takes time before anybody falls, or one locks each other. They move fluidly. When one throws the other, they quickly bring them down along then keep them in a lock. The locks are soon countered, and they back up again. The great thing is they look like they enjoy sparring with each other. They share a laugh whenever someone throws the other or someone holds the other in a lock. You find that very interesting.
The sparring ends when Danny makes a grappling move that Steve cannot counter, so he has to tap out.
After the sparring, Steve sits back with you and his kids while Danny goes over to Sensei Marcus. Steve asks your opinion about Jiu-Jitsu, whether you're still interested to learn it.
"Very much, yeah. The first thing I will do once I'm back in Chicago is to find a Dojo," You excitedly tell Steve.
"Well, lucky for you, Sensei Marcus here knows a lot of Jiu-Jitsu instructors," All of a sudden, Danny joins your conversation. Sensei Marcus stands beside him.
"Sure, if you want to keep learning Jiu-Jitsu, I will give you some references of my fellows in Chicago," Marcus informs you.
"That would be awesome!"
Marcus shakes your hand, "Good luck!" and moves to shake hands with the rest of the Williams-McGarrett family. "Thanks for visiting our dojo. Please come again whenever you're in LA,"
They all look tired, but their smiles beam as bright as Hawaiian sunshine.
âąâ€
Two weeks later, in Chicago,
You see your boyfriend's truck parked in front of your house as you walk home from the bus stop. You walk much slower than you used to. Your body is hurting all over the place, but you feel elated.
The day after you came home from Los Angeles, Jay was caught in a hard case. He had to fly out to New York and liaised with NYPD SVU to solve it.
You missed him a lot, for sure. Jay called you whenever he could for these past two weeks. Texted you every day too. But you have not got the chance to tell Jay about your new interest in Jiu-Jitsu.
After your last trip to LA, you promptly checked out the Dojo that Sensei Marcus referred to you. You were thrilled to find out that it's only fifteen minutes bus ride from your house.
You met with one of the instructors there and asked for a private class. Because that's what Danny advised you to do. "After you have a better understanding of the lessons, then I want you to go train with other people at the dojo. But for the first five or six months, you might've been better with one-on-one lessons,"
The instructor, Professor Louisa, is delighted to provide. You work on a schedule three to four times a week. The professor initially suggested only two meets in a week. But considering your occasional trip abroad for work, you prefer to do more lessons when you're in town.
This is the third week you've been learning jiu-jitsu in Chicago. Scraps and bruises are inevitable. Jay would freak out if he saw them before you could explain to him.
Jay's flight back from New York landed about two hours ago. He must've been coming directly to your place from the O'Hare. The house smells amazing when you enter the room. Following your nose leads you to the kitchen. You find your boyfriend pulling out what seems to be garlic bread from the oven, "Hey, babe. You're back!"
"Hey, you! Perfect timing!" Jay secures the tray aside before stepping closer to you. He puts one hand on your waist, the other one on your back. Moving even closer to kiss you.
His passion makes you forget your bruises for a moment. When Jay pushes you playfully, your shoulder hits the nearest wall. You instantly cry out in pain. "Argh!"
"What's wrong?" Jay stops everything he's doing to you right away.
"Nothing, I just got some bruises," You rub the pain from your shoulder.
"How come?" Jay begins to take off your t-shirt to check on the bruises, but you move away from his grasp.
"Hold on. Let me take a shower. I must've been rank from sweat. Then I'll tell you everything," You kiss Jay one more time before going to the bedroom.
As you eat the pasta primavera that Jay made, you ask him about his case in New York, "How was it?"
"It's done. We did what we have to do,"
Not interested in talking about his case, Jay interrogates you instead, "So, where did you get the bruise? I swear, I only left the city for two weeks, and you're already in trouble," Jay shakes his head.
"I'm not! I just joined this gym. Dojo, I meant. I'm taking Jiu-Jitsu lessons!" You cheerfully tell Jay.
"You what?" Jay pauses from drinking his wine.
So you told Jay the whole story. About how someone tried to snatch your phone when you're in LA. How you met the Williams-McGarrett family from Hawaii. How they got you into jiu-jitsu.
"It's so fun, Jay. Yeah, sure, I got bruises and scraps. But whenever I got stuck with my work, I go have a practice at the dojo, and then I come home feeling energized," You confess to your boyfriend.
"Really?" Jay looks at you, disbelieving.
"Uhuh," You nod as you swallow your spaghetti. "You know what, you should come and see the dojo. It might interest you too,"
"I know about martial arts, babe. I taught you how to punch, remember?" Jay reminds you.
"Yes, you did," You say in giggles, "Professor Louisa said she won't teach me how to punch,"
"Of course, Jiu-jitsu has a different approach than other martial art, say karate. Or boxing," Jay puts down his fork on the empty plate. "You sure you enjoy it?"
You hold Jay's hand and look into his eyes, "I am. This is something I want to do seriously, Jay. I admit part of it comes from you and your job. Like you always said, I need to be able to defend myself. Because you think I could get drag into your case one day,"
Jay puts his other hand on top of yours, looking somehow regretful, "Babe..."
"No, no. But I also do this for myself. Even though my body hurts, I feel great about myself. I feel more confident. It's really inspiring,"
Jay brings your hand to his lips, "Okay then, as long as you're happy with it. But I'm still going to take you to the gun range,"
You roll your eyes in response, "Of course, you will,"
âąâ€
A week later, Jay walks up to The Dojo on the second floor. Someone greets him at the entrance, "Hey, man. Can I help you?"
"I suppose to pick up my girlfriend. She is training with..." Jay tries to remember the instructor's name. "Louisa?"
"Ah, yes, Professor Louisa. You must be y/n's boyfriend. I'm Professor Andy, the head of this dojo," The man offers his hand.
"Jay Halstead," Jay shakes Andy's hand.
"I think she will finish in ten minutes. You wanna see her practice?"
"Sure. If it would not be disturbing?" Jay hesitates.
"Not at all. Y/n is the only one in there right now," Andy directs Jay inside the dojo. He asks Jay to remove his shoes before stepping into the room.
Jay watches his girlfriend silently. He winces a couple times when you fall down. But he is amazed to see you immediately stand up again.
"She's resilient, your woman is,"
Jay chuckles at Andy's remark, "Yes, she is,"
Shortly after you bow to your instructor, you see Jay standing on the side with Professor Andy.
You walk towards them with a smile, "I see you met my boyfriend, Prof,"
"I did, yeah," Andy nods. "I don't think Jay would be interested in jiu-jitsu, though," He comments.
"Correction, I'm not interested to see you got thrown down repeatedly," Jay points out.
"Hey!" You hit Jay's arms as both Professors laugh at you.
"But that's how we are supposed to learn. If you don't know how to fall, you won't get back up again," Louisa says serenely.
Andy hums his agreement before ushering you out. "Alright, get out of here, you lovebird,"
When you're in the locker room, changing your Gi, Jay approaches Andy again. But before Jay could say anything, Andy hands a leaflet to him.
"Y/N told me you're a police officer. You might be interested in these classes,"
Jay takes it with a laugh, "Thanks, man. I'll check it out," He puts the leaflet on his jacket pocket and pulls out his card.
"If anything happens when Y/N is here. Or if you need anything I can help with, please give me a call," Jay sounds solemn.
Andy takes the card, "Don't worry, man. We take good care of our students here,"
"I know," Jay nods.
Soon you come out with a gym bag on your shoulder. "See you next week, Prof!"
Andy waves to the couple, "Bye, y/n. See you again, Jay!"
âąâ€
Two years later,
You step out of the record store in Pilsen empty-handed, failing to find the vinyl you're looking for. You start walking west to the bus stop when you hear a commotion ahead.
You see a guy pushing people out of his way. He keeps looking behind his back like he's running from something.
"Police! Get out of the way!" You hear other voices shouting.
So this guy seems to be running from the police, you thought to yourself.
The man tries to shove you aside, but your reflex is much better. Your hands instantly grab the front of his shirt. When he tries to push you away, your right foot finds his inner left calf and sweeps him down.
When he tries to move away from your grasp, you lean down and grip his right wrist tightly with your right hand. You put your right elbow beside his right ear while your left elbow is placed underneath his elbow. Your left-hand moves to hold your right wrist from below his right hand. His arm is essentially locked when your left bicep snugs against his right tricep. You raise your elbow slightly from the surface. The more he wiggles his way out, the higher you raise his elbow from the surface, the more painful the lock is.
You hear an impressed whistle from above. When you look up, you find Jay and Hailey standing in front of you. Jay gets a huge grin on his face while Hailey is sporting a shocked look.
"Nice takedown, babe," Jay compliments you.
"Thanks. You might wanna take over from here, though," You say to your boyfriend as you hear few more steps rushing towards you.
You loosen the lock after you are sure Jay gets his hand on the perp. He grabs the suspect up from the floor and pushes him towards the wall.
You find a hand extends in front of your face, offering to help you stand up. You look up to see it was Hailey. You take her hand with a soft thanks.
Once you're back on your feet, you look around to see the other members of the Intelligence Unit staring at you. Adam, Kim, and Kevin are mirroring Hailey's initial look of surprise. Jay's boss, Hank Voight, looks impassive as always. But you catch an amused twitch at one corner of his lips.
"Man, at least give me time to feel my hand again! That bitch could break my arm, you know!" you hear the perp complaining when Jay prepares to cuff him.
Without saying anything in response, Jay folds the perp's wrist inside. The perp yells even louder because of the wristlock.
Kevin moves to take the man away from Jay before any further damage could happen. He ushers the perp right away to a nearby cop car.
Jay turns to check on his girlfriend, "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good." You nod back at him.
"I didn't know you could do that, Y/N," Hailey tells you. "You never tell me that your girlfriend practiced any martial arts," She continues to slap Jay's shoulder.
You answer with a sheepish smile, "It's kinda new,"
"Blue Belt in Jiu-Jitsu is not "kinda new" babe," Jay elbows you playfully.
The team boss pats your shoulder once before walking back to his car, "Good job, Y/LN,"
Kim, who's partnered up with Voight today, quickly follows. But not before inviting you for drinks, "You have to tell me all about this over drinks!"
"See? Even Voight agrees. We'll make a cop-out of you soon, Y/N," Adam offers his fistbump to you.
You meet his with your fistbump but shake your head, laughing, "Not in a million years, Ruzek,"
He only replies with his laugh and walks towards Kevin and the perp.
Jay puts his arm around your shoulders with a huge smile, "C'mon, Kev and Ruz can take care of the perp for a while. Hailey and I will drop you home."

âMy King,â Okoye called, handing TâChalla a bag he forgot. âNext week.â
â I know Okoye. I promise I will be ready to leave.â Okoye nodded before reboarding the jet. The king watched before beginning the short walk up to his friend's front door.
He rang the doorbell before staring up at the building. Itâd been years since heâd last been in this apartment. Freshman year of college to be exact. Anayaâs parents had invited him to spend Thanksgiving with them after finding him and their daughter studying together on a surprise visit to their daughter's dorm. They werenât in the room, lucky for them, but it seemed that her parents were invested in a dream that wouldnât come true. Not that either of them was ready to admit they couldnât be together either. At least that early on.
So much has changed since then. They graduated. Got two Ph. Ds respectively and then moved on. Anaya became a celebrated fashion historian and critic, and TâChalla a king. Halfway across the world, theyâd reconnected by chance in Paris and hadnât let go since. Somewhere TâChalla had been holding on to a silly notion that maybe he and Anaya could give being together another go, but he knew it was a fruitless endeavor.
Same as his ringing of the doorbell had been. Worried, the king began knocking on the door. âQuit your racket! Sheâs not here!â An elderly woman crooned from her front porch. âPardon?â
âShe ainât here! The baby called.â The woman chuckled to herself, âRan outta here like a firecracker. Her two friends following close behind.â
âShe was pregnant?â
âDonât know how you missed it sonny, big as a blimp, carrying high though. My bets on a girl you know,â she paused to size up the young king. âAnd you must be that no good bastard babyâs father. Walking out on her like that you know I should-!â
âMaâam, I promise you I am not him. As much as I wish I could have been,â the king mumbled the last part.
âWell then nowâs your chance son. The real father ainât here, and I hate to see that child grow up without a father figure. Whatâs keeping you from claiming that child?â
âA lot more than youâll ever know..â TâChalla looked up, despair written across his face. The woman's gaze softened. âYouâll never know till you try. At least go and see her. I mean you came to her house. All dressed up with flowers and a bag of gifts. You must really care for her.â
âI do.â
âSheâs at the university hospital.â The old woman instructed. âThank you,â the king nodded. âAnything to see her happy, ever since her parents died sheâs been sitting up in that house all alone. Make it right.â
Two hours and four phone calls later, TâChalla pulled up to the hospital in his hired car. The driver opened the back door of the SUV to allow the king and his baby present out into the air. He nodded at the driver before making his way up to the reception desk. âHi, how may I help you?â The woman looked up from her computer. âYou must be looking for our maternity ward. This your first?â She nodded at the gifts. âYou could say that,â TâChalla chuckled.
âMay I have your name and the patientâs?â
âTâChalla, and Anaya Johnson.â
âGreat, Ms. Johnson is in room 408 in the maternity wing. Go down the hall, on the left, there will be an elevator. Take that up to the fourth floor, make a right and it should be the fourth door down. You canât miss it.â
âThank you,â the king smiled hoisting up the big teddy bear, careful not to crush the flowers and various other bags. âWould you like an escort Mr. TâChalla?â
âI believe I can handle this one,â The king insisted. âVery well, and congratulations.â
The king frowned. âThank you.â
Four floors up, and three doors down, TâChalla finally stood outside of room 408. He took several steadying breaths before knocking. âWho is it? A familiar voice called. He heard footsteps on the other side of the door before it carefully creaked open.
âTâChalla?â
The king smiled in surprise. âTella? Hi.â
âHey, what are you doing here?â The brown skin woman beamed, opening up the door, her eyes widening slightly as she saw all of the gifts.âShe said she hadnât heard from you in months.â
âYeah, I was on my way to visit Anaya and her neighbor told me she was here, having a baby.â
âYeah, um come in. She and Jean went for a walk, the doctor said it would help with contractions.â Tella grabbed the bear from TâChalla and moved to set it in a corner, while he found space to set down his other gifts. âSo howâve you been? We used to get status updates from Anaya for you. Then you just vanished.â
âWell, there is a lot I havenât told you all. Wakanda is a monarchy, and my father, and his father, and his father, and his mother, and her father, and his mother, and so on, have all ruled our country. Now it is my turn.â
âTo rule?â
âTo rule.â The king nodded. âSo you vanished because you became king?â
âI vanished because there was a coup, an attempt on my life, which was almost successful. The coup sent my country into a civil war,â The king explained.
âTâChalla, this doesnât even sound real,â Tella interrupted. âI mean, how is anyone supposed to believe you?â
âMay I see your phone?â TâChalla stopped her.
âTâChalla,â
âJust let me prove it to you. I did not ghost Anaya by choice. I still want to be with her.â
âAfter all this time-â
âPlease, I know it seems implausible, but let me show you,â the king reached out a hand.
âFine TâChalla-â Tella handed over her phone. âAsk siri,â the king instructed.
âSeriously?â Tella frowned. âJust ask her.â
âSiri, who is the king of Wakanda?â
Her phone glowed before responding, âTâChalla Udaku was crowned King of Wakanda after the passing of his father last summer during a United Nations Assembly. I found this article online from the New York Times and several other sources.â
âTâchalla if this is true, I mean since this is true, the prospects of you and Anaya getting together is now even more impossible. Why are you here?â
âBecause she is my friend, and I love her. She is having a baby, and I will support her.â
âYou are not its father!â
âDonât you think I know that? Do you know how much it hurts me to know that Iâm not? That I may never be the father of any of her children.â
âThis isnât about you T.â
âI know, but the childâs father is not here. I am. Even if he was, I still would be, because she is my friend too Tella.â
âI just do not want to see her hurt. Donât give her false hope TâChalla.â
âOn the contrary, I believe it is she who gives me false hope,â the king sighed. Tella pulled him in for a hug. âJust give it time, and who knows, youâre a king now arenât you?â
âThat I am,â TâChalla nodded as the roomâs door squeaked open. A nurse helped Anaya back into the room and T'Challa couldnât help the way his eyes widened at Anayaâs pregnant form. His heart erupted in butterflies, imagining if that had been his child. Tella slapping his arm startled him back to reality. Tella jerked her head towards where the nurse was trying to help Anaya and maneuver the IV stand back into the room with her. TâChalla hurried over to wrap an arm around Anayaâs waist and grab her other hand. The nurse smiled in thanks and surprise. No surprise could top Anayaâs expression. She gaped as TâChalla shot her a smile. âLong time no see,â The king teased as he helped her further into the room and onto her bed. A grimace stole her smile as another contraction hit.
âIâll grab Dr.Ben and sheâll be right in to check on your progress, Ms. Johnson.â The middle-aged black woman smiled at the expecting mother. âThank you,â Anaya smiled before turning back to her best friend. âWhat are you doing here?â
âI came to surprise you, only to find out from your neighbor that you were in labor,â The king smiled.
âMrs. Patterson told you where I was?â
âI guess so,â the king frowned. Anaya and Tella laughed. âWhat did you do to her? Mrs. Patterson doesnât like anyone. Especially men.â Tella explained.
âShe did almost try to beat me up when she thought I was your âbastard babyâs fatherâ.â TâChalla told the two women who groaned. Anaya grimaced her way through a contraction and TâChalla stepped over and offered her his hand. The mother smiled at his touch and threaded her fingers through his as the contraction dissipated.
âIâm gonna go find Jean in the gift shop,â Tella excused herself, leaving TâChalla and Anaya alone. âWhatâs been going on with you King TâChalla,â Anaya teased as she tried to push herself into a seated position.
âNothing much. The world of politics cooled off for a while and I wanted to apologize for being awol these past months.â TâChalla helped rearrange the pillows so she could sit up. âWhat about you soon to be umama?â
âWell, this has been my life pretty much, still donât know how Iâm going to manage working at museums and shows towing this one around.â
âWhereâs the father?â TâChalla asked softly. A tear formed in Anayaâs eye, âHe doesnât want to be involved. We were drunk that night and you knowâŠ..â
âYou donât have to explain,â TâChalla squeezed her hand. âThanks,â she murmured. âWhat are you having?â The king inquired, sweeping some box braids back over her shoulder. âI donât know. I wanted to be surprised.â
âYour neighbor thinks itâs a girl,â TâChalla laughed. âSheâs been telling me about me carrying high since it became visible I was pregnant.â Anaya laughed. âI guess weâll find out today or tomorrow.â TâChalla chuckled. His face quickly fell as she slipped into another contraction. He tried to help her breathe the way heâd seen on television but ended up making her laugh. âYouâre really bad at this,â Anaya reclined back onto her pillows rubbing her stomach absentmindedly. âThanks for the vote of confidence,â TâChalla smiled. âItâs two quick ones and long out. Not in out in out,â Anaya explained. âIâll do better next time,â TâChalla promised.
âHow long are you visiting, you donât have to stay. It could be another day or so before I give birth.â
âIâm here for the week, until next Tuesday. And Anaya I want to stay. Besides, I can give Tells and Tonya-Jean a break to walk around.â
âThanks,â the pregnant mother smiled. Her face contorted as another contraction washed over her. âThere you go,â TâChalla soothed as she squeezed his hand. He helped her breathe through and eventually, she settled back. âAt this rate, itâll only be a couple of hours until theyâre here with us,â the mom to be sighed. âThen Iâll be here as long as youâll let me be here,â TâChalla kissed the back of her hand. Sweat had gathered on her forehead and he reached for something to dab it away. âI want you here as long as you can be, distract me.â
âWhy? You are not enjoying the miracle of life.â
âSays the man not currently pushing a baby out of his body.â
âFair enough,â he raised his unoccupied arm in surrender. âTell me about Wakanda and being a king,â Anaya asked, groaning through another contraction.
âWell,â TâChalla started.
Eight hours later, the room was silent. Tonya and Tells had gone home to catch up on sleep. Anaya was sleeping off her exhaustion and the king of Wakanda sat rocking a sleeping baby girl. Well, she was sleeping. Sydney Iesha Johnsonâs big brown eyes fluttered open and stared at the man holding her. She stretched out her tiny body and TâChallaâs heart soared at the feeling of her moving around in the swaddle.
âHi pretty girl,â he whispered. âHi,â he cooed, smiling as she yawned. âYou are so beautiful, just like your mommy. She was the most beautiful girl in the world and now sheâs tied with you.â He rocked the infant softly. âTâChalla?â Anaya croaked. âHey,â the king stood up and walked the baby over to her mother. âShe was fussy in the crib, and the nurse suggested I hold her, I hope you donât mind,â he rambled. Anaya laid a hand on his arm and shook her head. âItâs fine. I love seeing you with her.
âYou know Iâm here for you right? Both of you now,â the king searched her eyes. âI know Iâm not her father, and Iâll never try to be that for her, but sheâs a part of you and that makes her important to me.â
Anaya teared up and nodded.
âI want you to move to Wakanda.â

i keep meaning to do something with my mtl oc Emma Kveldssanger and then i never do :0 some info about her under the cut!
so i dunno who remembers her but she's Charles' daughter from a one-night stand he had with a fellow student back at law school. Emma's mother graduated, had her, and then decided not to inform Charles that he was a dad. whoops. 22 years later (some time after season 3 starts), Emma publishes an essay in her university's paper about religious symbolism in Dethklok's music, and it gets a lot of attention for how in-depth and esoteric it is (she was quoted as saying she was simply "drawn to the subject matter" and in fact has almost zero interest in death metal).
someone posts her essay on reddit and it goes viral pretty quick. Pickles sees her photo in the paper one morning and thinks "huh she really looks like Charles when he was like 20". he has Murderface go online, and they find out Emma's mom and Charles went to school together and were in multiple clubs together too. Pickles has a suspicion... and because he has zero tact he flies Emma to Mordhaus right away.
after an awkward "hey Charlie i think this is yer daughter" meeting (and a paternity test), she ends up becoming a bit of a fixture around Mordhaus, befriends the guys, that sorta thing. and she also eventually encourages her dad to follow his heart and be with Pickles for good. :') later down the road she writes a book about the Church of the Black Klok and the prophecy and the events of Galaktikon II.

The scowl glued on your face as you waited in the ER for the results from the x-ray you had gotten back from minutes ago. A bag of ice on the swollen knuckles of your right hand still splattered in drops of blood. The same blood as the small drops on your shirt as well. If that didnât put a scowl on your face, it was the next issue.
The reason for your visit to the ER was in bed next over complaining as a nurse checked his face. His eyes meeting yours in a blend of guilt, regret and fear almost. You couldnât meet his eyes. You didnât want to meet his eyes.
Letâs backtrack a little for a short history.
The summer after graduation, you had met a guy on the beach playing volleyball in need of another player. You joined, and then you fell for the guy just as he did for you. For the last three years, you were now twenty-one years old. Parker had been a really good guy. Until yesterday.
âBabe!â Parker sounded congested with the bandages held up his nose. He had been fighting the nurse to come to your side.
âDonât call me that!â You hissed glaring at the tall boy with the auburn hair colour that had once been your favourite colour.
âCâmon it was a mistake-Ow!â Parker whined at the nurse applied more pressure as she cast a sympathetic glance at you. A small smile of thanks passed to the nurse who had maybe pressed a little no hard on Parkerâs nose.
Your eyes rolled at the drama that was Parker when it came to injuries that had been his entire fault, to be frank. Your fist meeting his face? His fault for cheating. What did he expect? A congratulations? Screw that.
âSay anything else I swear Iâll hit the other ball.â You glared at the boy sending him to a fit, shaking fear of stupidity.
The beach was filled up with teens and adults with children on the nice weekend day out of the loud city. Originally you hadnât been able to join Parker with your mutual friends, but something else had spurred you there. Instead of having the weekly movie night via FaceTime with your younger brother, you had other plans. A particular video sent by Parkerâs best friend and his cousin too had brought you here. Livvy had grown close in the three-year relationship you had with her cousin.
Your fury filled gaze flickered around the beach and the grass in the large opening area of the waterfront. Finally, your eyes found Parker sitting with Livvy on the blanket on the grass with Steve. Livvy was the first to see with marching through the people spreading like a curtain from the angry girl.
âHey, Parker!â You shouted at your boyfriend in a conversation with your other two friends. Parkerâs smile grew just before it falters at your expression.
âHey, Babe,â Parker spoke, climbing to his full five-foot-ten stature. Livvyâs smile pulled up in an amused smirk while Steve looked more confused.
âHow was your weekend at your sick Grannyâs house?â You came to a stop a foot away from him. Arms crossed just under your chest his thick eyebrows furrowed together.
âUhâŠit was okay. Sheâs feeling better.â Parker nodded to himself tilting his head to the side, âIt was-â
âI hope she better. Her treatment must have been incredible.â You replied, unfurling your arms to grab the phone from your back pocket.
Parker grew more confused, âWhat?â
âThe doctor sure knew what he was doing. The prescription of âdicked downâ cured her illness and old age.â The whistle you made after your statement sounded, but you grew more satisfied with the circle of people behind you.
âOh.â Steve choked, raising one fist to press against his mouth. By now Livvy had started recording on her phone.
Livvy and Parker may be cousins, but she loathed cheaters when it was the cause of her parentsâ divorce. Parkerâs lips parted as he paled. The click of the glass screen brought up a video of Parker and a brunette in a hot tub.
âBa-â
âFucking look at your actions.â You hissed stepping even closer, âWas it worth it? Jeopardizing a relationship with someone you share years of memories with? Years of love and trust? All for thirty seconds of fun? We both know you tend toâŠget too excited.â
âOh shit,â Steve spoke, shifting his gaze between you and Parker like he was a bobblehead of Einstein. The very bobblehead that you had laughed giving Steve with his obsession over the legendary scientist.
âIt just happened. I still love you. I just needed a- âParker stumbled back bringing his hands to his face, âOW! You broke my nose!â
âOuch.â You hissed shaking your aching hand coated in some blood that splattered your shirt from shaking the hand.
âWhat the hell! You bitâŠholy fuck!â Parker screamed as your foot came up between his spread legs, nailing his left nut. He collapsed onto the grass, struggling to hold his bleeding broke nose and his nuts.
âThatâs what you get asshole.â You shouted, turning to Livvy, âCan you take me to the hospital?â
âParker drove, Iâll drive you both there. Steve can keep you two from fighting.â Livvy spoke, ending the video to shove everything in the oversized beach bag.
Now it was hours later as per usual in most hospitals elongating the time you were forced to spend with your now ex-boyfriend. Livvy and Steve had gone home a while back. Parker continued trying to fix the unrepairable damage he had done.
âY-â
âThatâs it!â You exclaimed jumping down from the bed to storm over to Parker. You made a few steps before arms encircled your waist.
âOkay, Slugger.â The gritty voice of your father spoke tugging you as far away from your ex-boyfriend as possible, âAs much I want to kill him, I think you broke his pretty-boy face enough.â
The anger drained from your body as you slumped against your dad anguish set in with a tsunami of hurt. Time melted as you broke in your fatherâs arm; missing the doctor giving information. Your hand was fitted with a cast, and next thing you were aware of it was in the car.
âYou bruised hits nuts. Broke his nose.â Dad nonchalantly spoke, turning the steering wheel as he exited the hospital parking lot. He didnât bother making small talk as he let you be quiet on the drive home.
You didnât know what hurt more, the heartache or your broken hand stabilized in the brace. The clearing of a throat had your attention is drawn to the house you had grown up no doubt holding your upset mother.
âSheâs not that mad.â Dad quietly spoke, handing your phone that had died during the time in the ER. You shot him a look at the inaccuracy of his statement because you both know she was angry.
âHer daughter just spent hours in a hospital with a dead phone. We both know she probably thought I was dead in a ditch.â You deadpanned as you both walked up to the door of the home in Norman, Oklahoma.
The door opened before you could reach for it, and a flurry of blonde hair attacked you in a hug. Your mother hugged then leaned away to scan your features. Catching the dried tear stains paired with the red-rimmed eyes.
âSweetheart.â Dinah spoke, raising her hands to wipe the tears from your face only causing more to fall, âWhatâs wrong?â
âParker cheated on me.â You mumbled melting into her arms in another round of tears, breaking your parentsâ hearts.
Meanwhile in Vancouver, Canada
Owen loved his job and the people he had met, but he missed the weekly movie nights with his older sister. The Joyner siblings had gotten down pat a system of sync to have the same movie playing at the same time on FaceTime. Imagine his surprise when he got a text apologizing.
Virtual movie night postponed. It put him in a slump that greatly concerned his roommate at the decrease of excitement. Even the next day, he was sad like a kicked puppy.
âBro? You good?â Charlie asked from his place in the kitchen, scanning his emails on his computer. Owen barely made his eyes, âWasnât movie night with your sister yesterday?â
Owen nodded, âYeah she-â
As Owen had gone to explain his phone had dinged with a concerning message from his mother.
Mom: Have you heard from Y/N? She hasnât come home.
Owen swiped out of the conversation to the most used one with you shared with him to send a mass of messages. All not even coming up as read by you. It was his stipulation that you had it one for his safe of mind.
âCâmon you little shit,â Owen grumbled, pressing your contact to call. It didnât even ring, âDead cell.â
Charlieâs full attention shifted to the younger guy sitting on their couch in the apartment they used during filming. As Owen started pacing, Charlie was over quick as a bunny to offer comfort to him. The boys had grown so close, with Jeremy too, that they knew how to help the other.
âOwen, you need to tell me whatâs going on.â Charlie soothed the blonde with his eyes pleading with the teenager.
âMy parents havenât talked to my sister. She didnât go home.â Owen admitted scratching at his chest when his chest tightened. The other immediately finding his pulse on his neck to ensure he still had a pulse.
âOh shit.â Charlie retorted, tapping his foot on the hardwood floor trying to find the right words to help his friend.
For the next hour, the boys kept in contact with Owenâs family and checking your social media in shifts as they filmed. It was a slow day when Owenâs phone finally rang with his motherâs contact once more.
âMom, did you find her?â Owen asked, picking at the skin on his lips pacing as he had all day. The level of anxiety had been perfect for the scene he had filmed as Alex.
âYeah. Look, Owen, she needs to get out of Oklahoma. Do you have room for her?â Dinah asked her son periodically glancing in the living room at the lifeless young woman.
âYeah. We have an extra room.â Owen supplied squeezing the phone in his grip, âHow is she? What happened?â
âIâm letting her settle before I ask any questions, but her flight is in a bit. It was either you take her in, or we pay for a hotel room. Oh! I got this lego-â
âI have to get back to filming. Iâll call you tonight.â Owen told his mother as his thumb hit the record circle on his phone. Kenny waving him over to film a scene with Booboo that would be the last before heading home.
The over the counter pain pill went down with a swig of water in the airport waiting for Owen and his roommate. Owen had messaged you that he would pick you up on the way from the set in perfect timing.
âY/N!â Owen cheered catching sight of your form hunched forward on the bench you had miraculously found empty. Your blank eyes seeing the blue of your younger brother.
Owenâs eyes widened in shock, âWhat the hell happened to your hand?â
Noncommittal, the girl walked by her brother with her luggage in the mission to get to the car. All you wanted was to burst into years under your blankets until the world turned again, when birds sang, and the word wasnât painted in dull colours.
Just as it had during the ride from the hospital to the house, it was dead silent in the car with the barest sound of music. Owen and Charlie had been having a conversation with expressions with the tension in the backseat stifling.
âThis is our place.â Charlie spoke, opening the apartment door with a flourish for the girl and her luggage. Your eyes scanned the modest apartment with minimal mess compared to the tornado devastation of Owenâs Oklahoma room.
âOkay.â You replied, watching as Owen rolled the luggage to the room you would use for the few weeks you would be here.
Once showered, dressed and settled, you retreated to the couch to watch a film with the two boys. Your mind fluttered between Becaâs blow out with her father and Jesse to the city of Norman. As if thinking of Parker manifested something your phone buzzed with notifications.
@/livvyjo: Go, girl! [video]
@/malia134: Parker goes down like the bitch he is!!!
@/notsteverogers: I got a front-row seat to the fight.
Those three comments on Livvyâs video had more support than hate plus the video itself was hilarious. It caught the entire confrontation from greeting the cheater to being pulled away to spend the ten minutes in the same car. The car you had hooked up in the backseat of in the years you dated him.
â-The prescription of âdicked downâ cured her illness and old age.â The pure anger on your expression amused you.
âWhat are you watching?â Owen inquired from the couch he watched the movie from. It made up for the lack of a film last night.
âA girl punching her bag of shit ex-boyfriend. She almost ripped his face off in the hospital.â You softly replied with your thumb double-tapping Livvyâs post.
Charlieâs attention shifted from the pool mashup with the Barden Bellas to the pride evident in your tone. It was the first time he had heard you laugh during the few hours he had been in your presence.
âWhat movie?â
âOh, you know Parkerâs Dicked Down Adventures. Filmed free with an iPhone.â You spoke sliding down to sit flush to Charlie to show the video you refreshed.
Owenâs mouth opened, âHe cheated on you? How stupid is he??â
âYou have a mean right hook.â Charlie supplied replaying the video for the third time with a weird feeling in his gut. The confidence stirred a body warming heat in the Canadian actor unlike anything else he had felt before.
âDad taught me.â You replied, slouching down in the plush couch with a tiny smiling, âThe nurse heard what happened. She put excessive pressure for his actions. I overheard his diagnosis; nasty bruised testicle and a broken nose.â
Both boys winced at the description. Owen ditching Charlieâs side to sit beside you, leaving you in the middle of the boys.
âI almost attacked him before Dad dragged me out of the room.â You recounted snuggling into your younger brotherâs side.
âWhere are my keys?â Owen questioned his roommate, âWe need them to drive to the airport. I need to kill the ass that hurt my sister.â
Your deft fingers grasped Owenâs wrist when he went to get up because, in all honesty, he probably would book a flight. He wouldnât go through with the plan to physically hurt Parker, but Owen had a wicked tongue for insults.
You spent one month in Vancouver with your brother and his castmates from helping Maddie with her homework. Movie nights with Owen changed to include Charlie too. Shopping trips with Sav and Tori. Baking with Jadah. You became family with them.
All good things come to an end. You had settled back in Norman with brighter plans that didnât involve relying on men. Movie nights still happened with the boys, but things got hectic. Virtual movie nights shifted to texting Charlie and calls.
âHey dork.â Charlie spoke walking down the street in Vancouver to the restaurant he was meeting the cast at. His lips pulled back in a massive grin, hearing your voice.
âHey Char!â You enthusiastically spoke, walking out of the building with more pep in your step at the voice of the man, âWhatâs up?â
âOn my way for food with everyone. How are you feeling?â Charlie asked, rubbing his fingertips on the dark denim pants. The sound of your voice brightening up his day more than he thought possible.
âOoh. I should let you go, huh?â You questioned shifting to hold the phone between your shoulder and chin. Fingers unlocked the new car you had bought with the money you had saved.
A nice change of money from selling the jewellery, clothes and other miscellaneous gifts Parker had given you. The necklace he gave you that once belonged to his grandmother had been given back to him. Other than that you had no interaction with the ass.
âIâd rather talk to you.â Charlie admitted biting his lip in concentration, âI have a question.â
âOkay. Whatâs your question?â You questioned as your phone connected to your carâCharlieâs voice coming through the car speakers.
âFilming is almost over. Do you have plans for New Years? Iâd like you to see you again.â
His words set a flutter of butterflies moving in your stomach at his nervous confidence striking the new information. The change in your friendship had been felt on his side as well and while you usually would think one-month post cheating wasnât long enough. Something about Charlie felt comfortable as if everything had been preparing to fall for him.
âI could fly-â
âIâd like to see where you grew up. Your favourite places and where you went to school. I want to know the little things that made you who you are.â Charlie spoke coming to a stop outside the restaurant, waiting for your answer.
Owenâs eyes pulled from his debate with Sacha and Jeremy to the nervous Canadian biting his lip outside the window. By the expression on his face, Owen couldnât guess who he was talking about. It was the smile that had been appearing on Charlieâs face for the last two weeks you had been staying with them.
Charlie had fallen for Owenâs big sister, and he couldnât think of anyone better. The bond between you and Charlie had been natural and magical to watch. It was kinda gross seeing his best friend and sister having heart eyes with each other. Yet, Owen had never liked Parker, but he loved the idea of having Charlie as a brother.
âY-yeah. Of course, you can Char.â The flattering blush heated up your skin at the turn in the convoâa grin splitting on the two individuals with more than three thousand kilometres between them.
âCool. I should join the cast. Iâll text you later.â
âBye, Charlie.â You whispered to the boy looking out the window noticing something she had been oblivious to.
The world had regained the colour, the birds sang again, and the world turned once more. All because a boy helped her heal.

Zombies 3
This was a lot of Addison Wank, that's pretty much how I'd sum it up. It was literally everyone saying that she was the best thing ever and couldn't lose her. I do like Addison though, she was reliably the one who was like, hey lets give these guys a chance before we get the torches and pitch forks. Even with cheer championship at stake, she wasn't a turncoat bitch about it if the Aliens were going to win.
I could have done without the whole "I'm destined to be with my high school SO forever. I love them so much." Given that, I do think Addison and Zed, and their real life actors, have a cute chemistry and look good together.
Like with the 2nd movie, I wasn't enamoured with the songs. They just weren't doing it for me.
Was it just me, or where there just a bunch of fly by ships that came from nowhere and basically went nowhere? Wyatt and Eliza, Willa and A-Li. Maybe they plan on a spin off, I could see it as a new Disney+ show.
Storywise, I thought there were a lot of goofy issues where there were none. If they wanted the trophy just to use their tech to read it, why not just ask to see it? Kind of didn't matter who won it.
As someone who went to private school, where school rankings were a thing and needed to get into university, I did appreciate Zed's frustration. lol. It wasn't even just pressure to put someting on apps for uni, it was also the school giving us shit because they wanted to up their own stats of not only graduates, but to boast % of those who went into a 4 year institution. It was never outright said, but there was def a stigma if you chose community school, military, or just started to work. It was 4 year institution or bust.
Was anyone else a bit pissed at the mom and dad? The mom had white hair all along and they made their daughter think she was the freak of the family that had to hide it? That's messed up.
I was a bit confused at the timeline. I thought Addison was a freshman in Z1, sophmore in Z2, and I guess a senior in Z3 as they mentioned she had already been accepted into college. How old is Bucky? They made it seem that he had several championships under his belt, and that he basically saw his cousin as his heir. So I thought he was a senior, junior at the youngest in Z1. But he was still in school in Z2, and implied to still be school president in Z3. So I'm not sure what was going on with him.

The Enforcers Part 1: Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader
synopsis: As a Kitsune, you're tasked with sniffing out the illegal activities of the underground and reporting them back to the Civic Service Bureau. You'll be partnered with a Leviathan, who is the muscle to carry out the arrests, but can you handle what he brings to the table?
wc: 2.1k
tw: none
masterlist
âChins up, kitsune! Leave your confidence at the door, and become one with your fear. For the first time in your lives, you will come to stare death in the face. And, unlike at that rubbish academy you were at for the last four years of your life, this is the real deal.â
You look at the man pacing in front of you, his blonde hair slicked back and eyes covered with a pair of peculiar glasses. Heâs wearing the standard grey uniform for the upper ranked kitsune with a spotted tie, which would normally be out of uniform, but heâs the head of communications in the Civic Service Bureau, so it doesnât matter.
âThereâs only one thing separating you from a Leviathan in this world. You there, tell me what it is!â Nanami Kento points to the pink-haired boy beside you and Yuji Itadori gulps.
âUh⊠cool haircuts and tattoos?â
You groan internally, wondering how he made it through the four years of training without dropping out. âIncorrect. Y/n, tell me what separates you from a Leviathan in the Civic Service Bureau.â
âOur lifespan.â
âThatâs right. On average, a kitsune will live ten to twelve years longer than their headstrong and combative partner, hence why there are more of them than there are of us. But that doesnât mean be reckless. The entire bureau relies on the intel, insight, and reports you bring back from the field. Now, if you think this isnât the desk job you were promised, you are free to leave. You were only invited here based on your ability to spy and not be caught. But if youâre ready to serve your nation in the most honorable way, stay here.â Not a single person out of the four of you shifts their movements. âPerfect,â Nanami murmurs, eyeing you all carefully. When his eyes rest on you, you notice the different assessment he gives you. Itâs the one thing everyone does the first time you meet:
Is she as good as her parents were?
Youâre here not only to answer that question but to exceed it. Your parents raised you for this moment - to take on any task thrown at you, spy as well as they did when they were in the Kitsune. You would do all of that and more, then when it came time for you to settle down, you would marry a fellow Kitsune and live in the Grand Sun District with your peers. The trajectory of your life looks like an arrow, shooting straight for the stars and never coming down until your own star wanes into the night. But by then, there would be a legacy tied to your name, and no one would be able to besmirch your reputation. Ever.
âAlright, you will all be paired with your Leviathan after dinner. Go and freshen up; you have a long night ahead of you.â
âSir!â You all salute the man with fervor, then youâre ushered to your temporary dressing quarters where youâre instructed to shower until youâre thoroughly cleaned, then to dress in the standard Kitsune uniform - a light grey shirt and grey pants, with a grey jacket. As you stand in the shower and wash, you remember your parentsâ words:
âYouâre the reason thereâs still good in this world. As a Kitsune, you give balance to the chaos of the universe.â
They always made the job seem like a superheroâs task, but you learned much more about the types of jobs you would take on when you went to the academy. But youâd risen to each and every challenge, no matter what, and graduated second in your class, behind Nobara Kugisaki.
As you slide on the pants provided to you, you wonder who theyâll pair you with. In the past, each Leviathan was paired with their equal Kitsune, which meant you would be paired with the second-ranked in the incoming group. But they changed that rule when Gojo Satoru switched from being first in the Kitsune to being first in the Leviathans a year ago, disrupting the entire ranking system. Ranks from the Academy were just a formality now, thanks to him.
âFall in line!â You toss your jacket on, then join the other three in the main room, coming face to face with Yuki, the head of the Kitsune and Reconnaissance.
âYou all look like a spry bunch. But I hate to say that the Leviathans youâll be paired with are tougher than last yearâs group. Excluding Gojo, of course.â You all hold your breath, but she smiles, turning to Nanami. âDinner should be ready soon.â
_____________________________________________________________
The cafeteria is silent with Yuji, Nobara, Maki, and you eating as quickly as you can, trying your best to scarf down the tasteless meal before introducing your partners. Finally, once you swallow down your water, you stand, grunting.
âAlright, Iâm done.â
âHey, hotshot,â Nobara huffs. âWe donât meet them until theyâre ready. And you know how Leviathans are.â
âSlow, lazy, quick to anger,â Yuji groans and Maki nods, shrugging.
You sit back down, tapping your fingers on the table. âPerhaps they could speed it up.â
âWhy are you in such a hurry?â Yui wonders innocently, pulling apart his bread roll.
âI want to get to work,â you admit, cracking your knuckles. âIâm itching to sniff out and dismantle some organizations.â
âJust because your parents took down the Motivir Group doesnât mean you have to live up to their reputation.â
âDoesnât mean I can slack off, either,â you grumble just as the doors to the cafeteria slide open. Yuki walks through, her brow raised curiously.
âIt seems that theyâre ready. Are you all set?â
The walk to the auditorium seems longer than it actually is as you pass by endless barracks, one of which would end up being where you stay in an adjoining room to your Leviathan. As your shoes clang on the metal rafters connecting the barracks to the main building, your heart beats feverishly in your chest. Of course, your Leviathan will be impressed that youâre the daughter of two prominent Kitsune, but would they expect you to--
âWatch your step.â You descend the staircase to the lobby of the auditorium and wait patiently for the doors to open. When they do, they reveal the hundreds of waiting Civic Service Bureau members, including the head of communication (Nanami Kento), head of surveillance (Mei Mei), head of foreign affairs (Yuta Okkotsu), Gojo Satoru, and of course, head of the Leviathans, Toji Fushiguro.
He sits in front of his group on the right side of the stage, elbows on his knees as he watches you all parade to the left side where the other Kitsune are seated. A scowl is painted on his face as he eyes each of you, and the Leviathans behind him look equally as bored, whispering to each other and snickering. You analyze the group, taking in their all-black attire and various haircuts, piercings, and tattoos.
When you look over to the Kitsune, they all look polished - hair slicked back, arms and legs free of any visible markings, and light grey attire. The only piercing you see among the crowd of your peers is in the ears, and even those are easily hidden. It wasnât that you all were prudes or traditional, but to blend in, you had to be a blank slate, mentally and physically; adult tabula rasa.
âIs this thing on?â Toji groans, tapping the microphone just handed to him. You take your seat as he begins to speak, grumbling his words without enthusiasm. âRight. As you all know, today is the day when our newest members are paired with their partners and sent off on initial missions for an assessment of compatibility, blah, blah, blah. Iâm going to skip the bullshit and get straight to the fun part.â Yuki mutters a string of curses as she gets up and snatches the mic from him, pushing her partner off to the side.
âApologies, you all. We do have to read the pledge of the Civic Service Bureau before we continue.â You all stand, tapping two fingers to space between your brow and then to your heart, where they rest as you chant:
âI pledge allegiance to the Civic Service Bureau and to keeping the nation safe with authority, strength, and boldness.â The words echo in the auditorium, and then you all retake your seats.
âAnd now, a memorial to our fallen Kitsune and Leviathans.â The lights dim as the hologrammed faces of various Leviathans appear above the crowd. In addition to the many faces, there are two outlined in gold: Kitsune.
âDid you hear about the Leviathan that got his Kitsune killed while on a mission last year?â Maki whispers to Yuji, and you frown, turning in your seat.
âHuh?â
âYeah,â Yuji answers. âI heard the Leviathan didnât execute the raid properly, and the Kitsune was murdered by--â
âShh!â Nobara hisses, turning back to watch the faces fade into the light, and the lights come back up as Yuki brings the mic back up to her lips.
âAlright, now Iâll pass it back to Toji so he can⊠do his job.â Yuki glares at the man and passes him the mic as he grins at her lazily.
âThanks, Yuki. Such a riveting presentation. Let me start off by saying this yearâs Leviathans have the grit and determination that moved even the Grand Council.â The Leviathans roar in response to this admission, acknowledging the head members of the Civic Service Bureau, who were conveniently not present. âNow, at the head of this yearâs class, we have my own son, Megumi Fushiguro.â The black-haired, green-eyed man comes up to the stage, forgoing anything other than a blank look as Toji clasps his arm in solidarity. âHe will be partnered with Nobara Kugisaki, as directed by the Grand Council.â Everyone claps as they should.
Nobara and Megumi shake hands, then move to the back of the stage to stand together.
âNext, we have Noritoshi Kamo,â Another blank-faced black-haired man. âAnd he will be paired withâŠâ You anticipate your name being called second, thinking maybe theyâve reinstated the rank pairs rule. âMaki Zenâin.â You watch her walk up to Noritoshi and shake his hand, then join Nobara and Tojiâs son. âNext, Choso Kamo and Yuji Itadori.â The two men forgo the traditional handshake and instead perform their own special handshake, no doubt practiced for this very moment. You look up to the elder Fushiguro, wondering who in the world was left for the daughter of heroes.
âThis year, as we mourn the tragic loss of first-year Kitsune Yu Haibara, the Grand Council has moved to reassign his Leviathan in a show of forgiveness. So, for the second time - and for the first time in history - Geto Suguru will be paired with Y/n, as directed by special order from the Grand Council.â You donât move from your seat as the massive man walks up to the stage, his black eyes roaming the crowd for his partner - you.
âGo,â Yuki urges you, but you canât move.
There has to be a mistake.
âY/n, please come up to the stageâŠ.â Toji rumbles. âBefore I lose my patience.â
No. Thereâs something wrong.
âGet up there.â Yuki grabs your arm and lifts you out of your seat, pushing you toward the stage unceremoniously. When you finally stand in front of Geto Suguru, you look into his eyes and see⊠nothing. He stares at you, his silver nose ring shining in the lights, just like his long, black hair. But you donât even shake his hand, opting to walk to the back and stand there, dumbfounded with crossed arms. Geto joins you, looking equally as miffed.
âOkay, great. So, thatâs over, and now I can take a nap. Go have some light desserts, talk, get to know each other, and then go to your barracks.â Once everyone files out, you follow, searching for Gojo and Nanami. When you find them conversing at the chocolate fountain, you interrupt their conversation, temper flaring.
âWho chose that failure to be my partner?â you growl, pointing your finger at the man who lingers by himself at the back of the room, arms crossed over his chest as he observes the others.
âWhoa,â Gojo holds up his hands, taking a step back. âThatâs a Grand Council question.â
âPartners can't be reassigned except in extreme circumstances,â Nanami reminds you. âThis seems like an extreme circumstance, y/n.â
âHe let his Kitsune get killed!â you yell, catching the attention of a few others nearby. âIf you think my parents will allow this to--â
âYour parents are still under the directives of the Grand Council,â Yuki mentions, walking up to you. âThey canât get you reassigned even if they tried.â
âWeâll see about that,â you hiss, striding out of the lobby and to your assigned barrack before closing yourself off.
