#so i just posted a “new” art on my twitter #not really new #i just havent posted it because of shadowban #its the gator art #i feel so good about that art bcs not only its my own character its also just reallll hot i love it so much #buti #i just lost 10 followers from posting it #its now sitting on 100 likes #literally everyone hates it #and now my confidence is just so low about it #this happens a lot for some reason #i like the art #people dont like it #and its sad bcs that one is a hit here and in bluesky and in FA #but for some reason on twitter its just #everybody just fucking hate it #if nobody interacts with it im like its fine that means shadowban or whatever #but losing followers?? over a drawing of a muscle fat gator??? that just fucking sucks #i fucking hate this place #i used to be good on playing with twitter but now im just so fucking bad at it #people say its because of algorithm but almost every artist thats good enough are able to post and always get a good reach #anyway i also just found out another EX-friend unfollowed me there as he reach 100k #he started learning to draw after me btw so....#this sucks

Tumblr is going to become far worse over the next couple years leaning further into targeted ads, gathering user information, and generally no longer doing the Only Things This Site Does Right, and I would like to firmly predict that all of the blame will be put on the influx of twitter refugees, instead of the plain truth that tumblr has been shifting its goals for a long time now (banner ads, leaning into and owning the "hellsite" reputation, selling merch of old tumblr memes, experimenting with ads that cover a quarter of your screen while you scroll (although those are thankfully gone now)).

The tumblr staff have shown they finally understand their community, and as the website's reputation heals, shareholders and suits are going to push for more and more money to be squeezed out of this place. This path was set in motion long ago, and I'm going to be real grumpy when the blame all gets pushed aside to just point fingers at the twitter people.

yeah idk why but I guess there's a general belief that kant is significantly older lol but did they ever confirm that? not that I remember. but anyway I would be okay with that as long as it's not astronomical because from the pics we've seen so far the only gap that would make sense to me is 21-ish and 30-ish, everything else would be weird and also yes, First is only 6 weeks older lol.

What do you think about gojo ships

I feel like I'm pretty indifferent to most of them. This is super cringe of me, but whenever I fall super in love with a character I don't often like shipping them romantically with anyone. 💀 (im delusional I know)

It doesn't help that for some reason the jjk fandom (especially twt) is weirdly aggressive about ships. I know it isn't all the shippers and it's mostly just the loud minority, but seeing so much of the discourse has kinda put me off and I don't really engage much with the ships in the fandom except for rarepairs and selfships bc alot of the time those communities are more wholesome and cozy (if that makes sense LOL)

I know the dudebros who pitched the theory of Zoro scarring (possibly removing) his very own eye in order to draw out his Observation Haki did so because they thought it was cool and badass. But personally. I’d be fucking devastated man. Thinking of the context and specially considering Zoro’s mental state in Kuraigana Island after being left in pieces by Kuma and discovering he’d failed to be there for Luffy at Marineford- listen. He’s always been portrayed as having very self-punishing tendencies since at least Alabasta, so if this was truly what happened, I don’t think it’d be portrayed as an empowering moment of manliness at all. I certainly wouldn’t want it to be.

#do you understand what I’m getting at like hurting yourself so permanently at a vague attempt to become powerful just a little bit faster is #NOT GOOD. like listen to the hypothetical theyre posing about why Zoro would do that to himself #Its far more akin to Sanji allowing himself to be beaten almost to death by a woman due to his principles (frowned upon by the narrative)#Than Zoro allowing himself to be struck down by Mihawk in order to fall honorably (praised by the narrative!)#(because one is a meaningless sacrifice for arbitrary reasons and the other is a sacrifice meant to honor a dream and an oponent)#Since we know that eyeball removal isnt the only way to get observation haki then the gesture would be meaningless #just the result of a warped mentality regarding his own strength and role as a crewmate #if Oda wanted to take Zoro’s story down that path at any point in the story (not entirely unlikely?)#I doubt it would play out the way some of these dudes on twitter and reddit theorize.
