how do i help gazans and others if i don't have a bank account? i want to help, and i've wanted to help, but it is not possible for me to give money. i've shared posts here, liked them on instagram and shared them there as well and it doesn't feel like enough
the reality is that posts made by longtime tumblr users who write fluent english get more notes and donations than gazans' own posts because this website is racist. so, sharing posts is a great start, but there are also so many people who need someone to actually write a post for them. if you drop a reply here or send an ask off anon, i can dm you usernames of people who need someone to write them a post about their campaign; i receive (i am not exaggerating) upwards of 200 such requests per day and am nowhere near capable of even replying to all of them, let alone actually writing that many posts. i know that many of the other people on here who frequently boost fundraisers are getting similar numbers of requests, if not more, and we literally always need more people to help.
it's also helpful to write updates on fundraiser posts, whether the original posts were written by you or by someone else. an update can be very basic (amount raised, distance to goal, currency conversion if it's a weaker currency than usd because that's what most of this website uses, link to vetting info if it's not in the original post) but you can also write a few sentences about the person's specific situation and needs. updates help keep a campaign circulating and show potential donors that someone is paying attention to this person. you can do this any time a fundraiser crosses your dash, when someone messages you or sends an ask, etc.
if you are willing to commit for a longer term, it is extremely helpful to 'adopt' a campaign (or more than one, if you can), meaning you commit to continue posting about that specific person until they reach their goal. this is more work, it's more stressful, but it can also make a huge difference for the person on the other end. i can also point you toward people who need this and have asked for it, if it's something you can do.
if you have artistic skills, original artwork is often helpful for drawing attention to a campaign. even just a quick sketch of a family portrait can be helpful for getting more traction on posts. i've also seen people make banners, cartoons, pixel art, you name it. donation posts generally do better when they're short but also eye-catching, and art is one way to help with that.
and you might consider whether you have any skills, artistic or otherwise, that you could offer as a raffle or giveaway to support these campaigns. i've seen people offer art or writing commissions, research skills, aquarium passes, gift baskets, plushies, fibre crafts, etc. frankly i think sometimes these giveaways are just helpful because they reassure potential donors (yet again) that the campaign is 'real' and has people looking after it. you can offer these kinds of incentives whether or not you're in contact with the person fundraising; i've even seen some people just offer commissions or raffle entries as a blanket offer for anyone who donates to any vetted campaign.
i also want to stress again that this truly is a situation where any commitment is better than no commitment -- like, can't adopt a campaign but can write someone an original post once a week? great, that's still helpful to that person. can't do that but can commit to writing short updates on someone's campaign once a day? great, still helpful. literally any time and effort you can put in is good, it's not an all-or-nothing proposition. i think most of us are capable of finding at least a few minutes to do something on this list.

After 188 days of exhaustion, constant fear, and losing everything we owned, we were displaced to Egypt and paid a large sum, but some of my family and all our loved ones are still suffering in Gaza💔. We don't have residency here, so that's what makes it complicated. I also set a goal of 6,000, which is a short-term goal Of the total specified amount. Please help a family be alive through your small donations or througn your shares to others. Thank you so Much for your stand beside people in need.
I've previously shared the last two, but I figured I'll include them as well, as they still are quite low on funds, although it has been a while. Please consider donating if you can!

apologies if this is kinda out of left field but what is your current opinion on ao3? me personally i do like to read and write fic on it due to the tagging system and other aspects but the amount of whack shit makes me uncomfortable and I do wish you could report harmful content easily (I think you can now but it's a bit of a process)
sorry this took so long to answer! i had to finish graduating college 😔 i tend not to think about ao3 too much or too in depth, and i don't really get involved in the discourse on this site about it. please take everything i say with a grain of salt because im uninformed and not really looking to involve myself more in this discourse! but i will gladly answer this ask with the information i do have because i think youre starting an interesting conversation and i like to talk ( •̀ .̫ •́ )✧! feel free to hmu i dms, anon.
under read more because i started to ramble a bit. tldr please stop donating to ao3 and donate to one of these vetted palestinian fundraisers instead, especially for eid
personally i agree with all that youve said about ao3 in your ask already. i wont get on a soapbox and moralize about fanfiction and stuff like that because, again, i really dont care, but also i think it is really neat to have these spaces where people can safely interact with IPs in a transformative way and share their works with others without the threat of legal action. that's not ao3s doing, but it does provide a hub for people to publish without ever running into the treat of legal action. and, like you said, the tagging system makes it really easy to sort through fics and find what you like vs. dislike.
my main problems with ao3 come from its mismanagement, and the fact that it really has no competitors. ive been on ao3 since 2015, and i think the only significant change i can remember in the 9 years ive used it was the fact that they added the ability to filter out tags along with filtering in some. that's literally it. there could definitely have been some significant behind the scenes additions im unaware of, but from a users point of view, there has only been 1 update in 9 years that has majorly impacted the way i use the site. that seems like extreme mismanagement to me, especially since ao3 manages to meet and then significantly past all of their donation goals that they run pretty frequently. it seems like ao3 is making a lot of money which isn't being put into improving the site in any significant way. ao3 has been a site since 2008, its making a lot of money, and has a huge base of donors and volunteers, but it's still in beta? that seems like major mismanagement to me. again, this is just me speaking as a layperson not involved in the site itself.
also, it's pretty much become the only site that you can read fanfic on. there are sparse communities on tumblr, ff.net, and wattpad, but they're definitely a lot smaller and spread out. ao3 is the biggest and most centralized place for posting and reading fanfiction on the internet, meaning it virtually has no competition, and there's no alternatives that offer the same scale or quality. despite all that, it has almost no internal user moderation, and ao3 has actively been resistant to implementing those kinds of changes. that has resulted primarily in users of color getting targeted and attacked by racists. harassment is easy on ao3, and people can easily abuse the tagging system to do whatever they like. there's not even a perma-block tag feature, which is the first thing i would've implemented with the filter out feature. like you said, anon, if they're even implementing these changes, they're implementing them slowly, and behind a convoluted multi-step process. there's still little to no internal moderation or blocking system, which is just incredibly irresponsible.
ao3 almost has a monopoly on fanfiction on the internet, which means that it can kind of just do whatever, and no matter the gripes it knows people will keep coming back if they want fanfic because there's no alternative. and people keep chucking money at it because, again, its a hub for people to post and read fanfic without ever running into the threat of legal action because the website provides a safe, transformative works shield for authors. it's just insane how mismanaged the site is, but people keep giving it money despite that, so there's no real incentive for OTW to change anything or put in any effort. HOW IS IT STILL IN BETA. ITS BEEN 16 YEARS AND THEY'VE MADE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. MINECRAFT CLASSIC WAS LAUNCHED IN 2009 AND THEY MOVED THROUGH BETA TO ALPHA TO A FULL LAUNCH AND THEN HUNDREDS OF UPDATES IN THE SAME TIME FRAME AND WITH A SMALLER TEAM AND FUNDS, INITIALLY😭😭😭 that's just insane to me, there's definitely something weird behind the scenes, how can they be this bad at site management, it's gotta be deliberate or something.
anyway, please stop donating to ao3 and donate to one of these vetted palestinian fundraisers instead, especially for eid

Excuse me, do you know how I can have Palestine fundraisers vetted? Is there someone I can go to? My inbox is filled with them, and I don't know which ones are actually from Palestinians and which ones are just scam artists.
I don't know how to personally verify fundraisers, so I can't help you with that, but usually when I want to check if a fundraiser has been verified by someone else, I usually search their username on tumblr or check the notes of their posts to find it. Verifications are usually made by users such as:
@/nabulsi
@/el-shab-hussein
@/90-ghost
@/northgazaupdates
@/bilal-salah0
@/victoriawhimsey
There are also google docs made by different people/organizations compiling verified fundraisers. Some of these are: nabulsi and el-shab-hussein's verified Gazan fundraisers doc, the Butterfly Effect Project, Operation Olive Branch, Bees and Watermelons
Here are some other users that, while I'm either not sure if they're official verifiers, or they themselves state they are not official verifiers, share many verified fundraisers, or share unverified fundraisers with their reasoning as to why they think they may not be scams:
@/brutaliakhoa
@/dlxxv-vetted-donations
@/sar-soor
@/c-u-c-koo-4-40k
@/a-shade-of-blue
@/northgazaupdates
Now, if the blog that's reached out to you hasn't been verified/shared by any of those blogs or other blogs I may have missed, some steps you can take to double-check if the fundraiser is or isn't a scam is:
Reverse image search on the photos posted to their blog/campaign. If it doesn't bring anything back, or if it only links back to their own blog/campaign, chances are it may be legit
If the fundraiser is donation protected, it's another sign that it may not be a scam
If the blog that messaged you also has other social media, such as instagram or tiktok, which may even have posts from before they made their blog. You can try asking them if the tumblr blog is theirs, and if it is, it may be legit
If they mention being friends/family with another blog, especially a verified one, try messaging that blog and asking them if they know the one that reached out to you. If they do know them, chances are it's legit
Usually, if their campaign is vouched for by another blog that has been verified, it's usually considered verified by association
Disclaimer for this last part: I'm not trying to claim that if a blog's images don't show up in reverse image search, their donations are protected and they have other, corresponding social media, that immediately means it's 100% legit. Like I've said time and time again, I don't verify fundraisers because I don't know how to properly personally verify them. These are just some tips I use and I've seen other people share when a blog isn't verified. They are not foolproof, but I'd rather accidentally share one or two scams than deny dozens of real families the chance to get more donations simply because they couldn't access verification.
I will remind people that most of the blogs who were actively verifying fundraisers (specifically the Palestinian blogs) stopped because of the harassment campaign that went down a few weeks ago led by people accusing them and the fundraisers of being scammers, and the toll both the harassment and the act of verifying were taking on their mental (and physical!) health. And not to still be pissed off about this, but most of the people who participated in this harassment never properly apologized, a lot of them doubled down and just waited until everyone forgot about it
I hope all of this helps! I know it can be hard sometimes to know what's real and what's fake, but I really do hope this helps guide you a bit. Free Palestine

PSA
Right now, I'm getting a lot of asks about fundraisers. I am trying to find proof that each fundraiser has been vetted before I share it, so that way people will know it's real and will actually donate. If a fundraiser hasn't been vetted, I will try to do my own research, but I live in the United States and I do not know Arabic, which makes it difficult. The best I can do is look for other social media under the same name and see if the fundraiser is also linked there, or directly contact the person behind that account and ask if they are running the fundraiser. Even then, there's a chance that person's account was hacked, so it isn't foolproof. I have shared some fundraisers like that, but now I try to wait until they are confirmed to be real before I share them.
I'm trying to be extra careful for two reasons: first, people are more likely to donate to a fundraiser that has been verified by a trusted source (like 90-ghost, nabulsi, etc.). Second, there have been a lot of people flinging about accusations of "scam rings" lately, and I don't want to give those people any ammunition. But I still feel terrible not responding to people who have asked me for help.
For now, I'm working through each ask carefully to try to make sure that I am amplifying people in need and not redirecting money that SHOULD go toward them to a scammer taking advantage of this tragedy. Please note that the vast, VAST majority of asks I've received have turned out to be real fundraisers. The only fake ones were the "on my last pen" insulin messages that pre-date the current genocide in Gaza.
If you know for a fact that someone is lying, or directly impersonating a real person with a real fundraiser, please send me an ask so I will be more likely to see it (I can't check the reblogs on every single post, there are just too many). If you don't have a solid reasoning for accusing someone beyond "I think everyone asking for money on the Internet is a liar" though, just don't reblog the post. It's that simple.
Later today I'll compile a list of the people with vetted fundraisers who have contacted me, and I'll share them here as well as on my other social media. In the meantime, I have to sit here and do my boring 🤢job🤢 so that I actually earn money that I can give to people's fundraisers.
Also, when I get a lot of asks, I try to queue them so that they post all throughout the day. That way, they can reach people in other timezones who normally use tumblr while I'm at work or asleep. I have non-fundraiser posts queued as well so people know I'm a real person still blogging about my interests and not just a bot or something (and to space out the fundraiser links more, because if people just see a wall of 10 GoFundMes in a row they're more likely to ignore them).
To everyone who contacted me from Gaza: I am on your side. I want to do, and I will do, everything I can to help you. Even if it feels like the world is ignoring you, I will not, and there are many people around the world who will not ignore you either. I pray that you and your family and your friends will find safety, and live in peace. I pray you will be healthy and find happiness and good food and a comfortable home to live in. You deserve a much better life than what you are living right now, and I am so sorry that you are in this pain.
Translated to Arabic with Google translate, I hope this makes sense:
#i havent had anyone accuse me of spreading scams or anything but i've seen it happen to other folks so i just wanted to be proactive#and also explain why it's taking me a while to respond to asks#i hate that we live in a world where there are feasibly people who would take advantage of a genocide to try to make a quick buck#but then again if we lived in a world where people were just decent enough to not do that#there would be no gofundmes in the first place because people who be decent enough not to KILL EACH OTHER#my posts

I think of Nada Saftawi a lot. She is an artist, a teacher, and a mother. I had a coworker who shared her first name. If you read anything she wrote, you can tell Nada loves her kids. She has big dreams of them growing up to be happy and successful. Hala shared her ambition and spirit, Reema is a brilliant girl destined to be a scientist, and Zuhdi is the mischievous lovely little brother.
She shared her fundraiser around June. There was momentum at first, except it's almost a month and I haven't heard any updates from her or from her daughter. Just silence. The Gofundme is still open, so most likely Nada just couldn't get any internet access. I hope she and her kids are alright. I can't imagine the unbearable weight they're all facing. It scares me already and I'm not even there!
She's only 4k away from her 16k goal! It's close. The best thing we can do right now, is to keep their fundraising momentum going. If she's away from the internet, we boost her campaign. And of course, what's most important is to donate. Don't be a bystander, don't expect someone else will do the donation for you. Give Nada a little $5 if you have the money to spare. It could literally save her family's life. Yes, she's vetted at #182 on this spreadsheet

PALESTINE SCAMMING PSA
I don't know who else is getting these asks:
But I wanted to make a general guide on how to detect scammers and what to keep an eye out for! Inspired by this scam account: @janeursural who sent me an ask earlier for donations and inspired this all. Please block and report them for scamming ;; Thanks!
Text- This is a very easy way to detect scams, copied and pasted messages from OTHER campaigns/gofundmes, etc. Take a chunk of the text, paste in a browser with non-name parts between quotes "like this" to see any exact matches. If you see other gofundmes or messages from other accounts that are the EXACT same but lead to the DIFFERENT donation sites, it's could be a scam
Images - Reverse image search images!! This point is important and ultimately lead me to realize the account mentioned above is a scam as they had images shared from another person's GoFundMe from months before their account even existed. Please reverse image search, see if the images existed before and who they belong to. Do they match with people and settings claimed?
People/story- A lot of times these scam account will appear out of nowhere, never posting and then suddenly asking for a lot of money. While many Palestinians might create new accounts to fundraise, one way to tell a person is legit is by seeing if they a past social media presence that lines up with what they say. Are they the same person they claim to be in old posts? Are old images located in Gaza?
Vetted Status- Fundraisers vetted by others tend to be spread more since people assume they're legit. But please check who vetted the campaign and why. Sometimes these scam accounts will claim they've been vetted but then lead to dead links, or nonexistent account- the account above was one of these and blocked people inquiring for more info about the status.
Payment Method - Fundraisers are primarily through GoFundMe. Most Palestinians will not have access to PayPal funds. The only organizations that really use paypal would be ones that provide resources bought from other sources to help (such as Care for Gaza on twitter) and not individual people. If they are collecting donations through PayPal (not accessible/hard to refund) please be weary. If it is PayPal, check what currency the fundraiser is in too. Why would a Palestine fundraiser be trying to collect USD when PayPal allows currency conversions?
Hiding Comments/Blocking People- If a post has a bunch / all hidden comments, be wary. A lot of these scammers will hide comments/block accounts that are calling them out/trying to spread awareness. Do they block people who ask them questions about the campaign (like the above account did to several people asking vetting status).
Search Account Name- Search for the account name. On Tumblr, search it to see if other accounts have replied to the user/called them out for scamming. Search on google to see if there's a campaign/efforts to fundraise for that specific one outside of Tumblr. While this is not a guarantee, on top of everything else, it definitely should raise a red flag
Post History/Following - Smaller one and definitely specific to Tumblr but please check the following / post history if able. Are they following a bunch of blogs that appear to be from the same social circle (Ex. the same fandom). Do they have random weblogs of certain fandom posts? AKA: were they behaving like a bot before suddenly switching over to fundraising? Very high chance they're a scam.
Of course, this list isn't gospel and shouldn't be treated like the truth. A post can fail some of these checks and still be legitimate, I just want to raise awareness to what common red flags to look after.
Please PLEASE do your research before donating. Every dollar sent to one of these scammers is one that could have gone to an actual Palestinian family in need! Thank you!

You harassed a Gazan genocide survivor off of Tumblr (he's had his account for over a decade, and on it, he's documented the horrific losses his family has suffered even before October 7th), doubled down on accusing all GFMs vetted by Palestinians on Tumblr of being part of an organized scam ring by hyperfocusing on the one GFM on that list that's sketchy (no regard, of course, to how this might effect the hundreds of other families trying to survive a genocide), quietly deleted all evidence of yourself being racist to the genocide survivor you fueled a harassment campaign against, never apologized for any of this, and now, after you've gotten to play the victim for a bit, you're doing a victory lap and celebrating the harm you've done.
But before you go back to your regular scheduling of stealing posts from Reddit and pretending they're your own, I think you're followers should know what the backlash against you is about.
Here's screenshots and a links to the posts you've quietly deleted:
NOTE: The person sending this ask is Mahmoud Balousha, a Palestinian refugee currently residing outside of the country. He's organizing several GFMs on behalf of his family, and is very much a real person.
Here's a post from his Palestinian friend (another long-time Tumblr user), with a reply from one of the people who has been in daily contact with Mahmoud and helped him set up a fundraiser.
Anyway, here's how writing-prompt-s decided to reply to Mahmoud's plea for help:
I'll repost my own reply here, since you never acknowledged it, and never apologized to Ahmed (90-ghost):
This is really not my story to tell. It feels very uncomfortable to shared Ahmed's history like this, and to see how he's been forced to be this public about his loss and trauma in order to be believed (and then to see you, still doubting him!).
Ahmed is now trying to adjust to a life in Egypt, still has most of his friends and family in Gaza, and is struggling just to cover his own living expenses in the city he's now a displaced refugee in.
The fact that you, from the safety of your home (Ahmed's has been turned to rubble by Israeli bombs), felt so comfortable dragging him and other Palestinians through the mud like this is despicable.
And you can read yourself from @/Killy, the person who initiated Ahmed's fundraiser when he was still in Gaza, the horrible effect this harassment campaign you've started has had on him:
Do you have any fucking conscience at all?
You never responded to any of this, and I know for a fact that you at least saw my reply, because shortly after, you made a new post doubling down where you tried to imply Ahmed had faked his entire blogging history:
And again, my reply, which you also didn't respond to:
You've done real, material harm to the Palestinians you're dragging through this. And I think you're very well aware of that, you just don't care and you never will.
Here's the donation links again:
Ahmed (90-ghost) and Mahmoud
And lastly, if you want to accuse me of contributing to spreading scams, that's fine. My conscience is clear. I'd rather take the risk of accidentally promoting a scam (and I've seen no evidence that I have so far done so) than keep silent and deny help to people desperately trying to survive a genocide.
EDIT: and now you're sharing asks smearing UNRWA from @/prismatic-bell, a notoriously racist, Zionist blogger.
Really giving the game away, aren't we?
Thank you everyone for reading and sharing my pinned post. Hate mail went from 50+ per hour to 0! Back to writing prompts soon <3
#palestine fundraisers#writing-prompt-s#i decided to quickly remove the screenshots from prismatic-bell's doxxing attempt. they're easy to find and well documented#but in case this post blows up i don't it to contain any personal info of the person who almost got doxxed

Hey, hi, hello there. I'm Eden, a silly lil songbird (songbat?) that enjoys a lot of things. I'm here to be silly, share my art and thoughts, and just have a good time. My pronouns are he/it/blood/fang/bat, occasionally with a few additions. Most times I prefer he/it/blood.
I'm taking art requests!! See this post(link) for details!
-----------------
Things I enjoy:
Art (drawing, writing, music, etc)
Talking with friends!

I am Non-binary, queer, neurodivergent, and otherkin (specifically vampirekin and batkin). If you have a problem with any of that, then get off my blog.
-----------------
Anti-Endo, anti-otherkin, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, misogynistic, etc. Stay out.
Zionist, Israel supporter, anti-Free Palestine, etc. Get tf away.
Supporters of abusers (of ANY kind) and those who victim blame (no matter who the victim is): get the fuck off of my blog, you are not welcome here.
If you do not believe victims and support them, even if the situation hasn't been proven true yet, then I don't want you on my blog.

So like, I'm still just getting caught up on the latest Tumblr cancelling of writing-prompt-s, but I saw it this morning and I'm already tired.
I don't know writing-prompt-s personally. I know even less about badjokesbyjeff. But, I saw the deleted post from writing-prompt-s this morning in a screenshot in a cancel post for them where it looks like they dealt with the same DMs I get.
I don't know their political affiliations or if they've ever made another post before, what, last night? Today? About anything that wasn't a writing prompt. But I would honestly hesitate to call them anti-Palestinian or Zionist for being frustrated by an onslaught of fundraising DMs.
... In honestly the most tactless way possible, but still. Being a writing prompts blog I feel like they could have elaborated and said 'Hey I think these might be scam bots??' That would have made more sense and been far less callous. They also could have just said nothing, too, and none of us would be talking about this.
But lets step away from that for a sec, and onto the subject of Palestine, fundraisers, and possible scams.
Palestinians are desperate and begging for their literal lives and families, so they're resorting to more direct requests for aid. I get that. But there are also scammers out there who would absolutely take advantage of one of the most visually vulnerable groups out there in the world right now to try and line their own pockets with all of your wonderful and well-meaning donations.
That's why I haven't posted any of the DMs I've gotten, because I have no idea where they're coming from and I have no way of personally verifying or vetting them (I saw that someone was checking IDs, but I've also seen how IDs can be faked online). In fact, in one of the posts I saw this morning, it sounds like its getting harder and harder to verify any fundraiser coming from Palestinians. Bottom line though, I don't want to share something to my timeline that I have no way to 100% verify for absolute certain isn't a scam because y'all are good people and I don't want you getting scammed. I know you want your donations to go to the people they're intended for.
I have shared fundraisers for Palestinians in the past but I've had to step away from Tumblr for the most part for my own mental health. I have my own struggles and I'm trying to get some stuff done in my offline life, like remember to regularly feed & water myself and get my house ready for sale. So, I haven't shared fundraisers in a little bit because of that, and because I'm uncertain who to trust.
About the overall situation, I have two things I need to say about it:
First, if anyone is sending you DMs telling you to off yourself, report that shit to Tumblr.
The moderation on this hellsite is shit but that's like the one thing I've seen then consistently ban for. That's a link to the form - go use it. Or you can create a report right on the message, though it clears it from your inbox (so take a screenshot of it first if you really must). No one should be sending death threats or tell you to k*ll yourself EVER, under ANY circumstances. That's NEVER okay.
Second, if you want to help Palestinians, here are some links:
^^ This is the UN website, so its definitely legit.
Remember those videos of chefs cooking in Gaza and feeding children? World Central Kitchen is apparently responsible for that. The link above is to their latest news post re: Gaza and the situation they are facing there as they try to continue to feed displaced Palestinians.
The Gaza Fund (above) seems legit. It says that they are a registered not-for-profit and they also have a transparency report available on their website. There is also a lot of information for the media and talking points about Israel-Palestine that might help you know how to discuss the conflict with your friends and loved ones.
I looked up Gazafunds.com and their About page doesn't explain how fundraisers are vetted and also "assumes no liability or responsibility for any activity related to the fundraisers listed on this website", which makes sense as a policy to avoid legal litigation but doesn't do much to promise that any of them are legitimate, sadly. So donate at your own risk.
I'm sorry that this is the best I've got to offer right now, but hopefully this post can help turn a negative into a positive somehow. Please don't jump to cancel or harass people when they say something stupid online? I've been a victim of that myself more than once, and like I said at the top of this post, I'm tired.
@el-shab-hussein you are tripping over your own lies. Keep switching up the story, scammer. First he was ashamed of their behaviour for sending a multitude of (automated) porn bot asks:
and now suddenly when we provide massive proof it is a scam, you switched the narrative to 'they got hacked'?
Basel-1995 is clearly a bot and I am absolutely convinced you are a scammer abusing REAL people who need food and shelter for your own benefit. For more info: read this I stand by my last post:
@staff feel free to delete my blog if I am wrong but please look into @el-shab-hussein as I am convinced they are very adept at leading a scam ring.
