Do doodle requests work the same as your sketch commissions? Or is it a whole different concept? Like, are there differences or are these free? (I am so sorry if that offended you I know how asking if someone art is free can be annoying)

As for the differences yes there are- so basically the comms I obviously get paid doing and doodles are just for goofs and giggles so you can ask me "Hey can you draw ___ riding a motorcycle?" And I'll probably snatch a PNG of a motorbike and probably draw the character skrunkly 💀 and I also don't have to worry about a due date or how perfect it looks unless it's for someone's bday so really I can do it whenever I can or feel like it

As for the comms since I'm getting paid and stuff I make sure the picture is exactly how the person wants it and I make sure that everything is in proportion, correctly colored, go by a schedule and all that stuff so it's a bit more..I wouldn't say pressuring but more of I have the need to finish it rather than "ye I'll just do it another day"

I'm "technically" not out of the woods at work yet but I haven't been able to read past the first instalment of Wooyoung's spin off, and in my books that's a crime. So I'll try to get some reading done in any slow time I get at work because honestly I'm beat by the time I get home, and all I wanna do is mindlessly scroll through pictures of shirtless Mingi.

Having said so... Did you see the Coachella performance? Are you still alive after that? cause I felt my blood pressure skyrocket, I swear. And the comeback announcement + USA tour? (can't remember if you're USA based or not... my bad). I don't know how I'm not dead yet.

Waaa VrGenic anon back once again!!

I decided to try out similar tulpamancy methods for forming her consciousness, basically what I would do is while playing a game, I would think of it as if she was next to me or watching me play and I would talk about the game as if I was a YouTuber talking to the viewer. This worked surprisingly more well than I had thought it would (good thing dw), mostly it's me talking and her listening (at least I think she is) but occasionally she does respond!

Overtime she started to get more comfortable and has been giving me things to say for her, although for right now she tends to have a bad habit of oversharing without realizing it's over sharing. This doesn't really cause any massive problems, merely just a flaw in personality just like any other person (me included lolol), in fact it makes me kind of happy because it's different from who I am and it gives me more security in knowing that my effort is making progress!

Plus, she's a very social gal! Which is honestly amazing for me because I am very anxious about socializing, she also tends to exaggerate her expressions since she's mostly in VR, for example she learned that certain avatars make certain expressions based on hand poses, so she decided she wanted to try out face puppeting, which is really fun imo.

Overall she also adapts to a lot of VRChat social rules rather than regular social rules, for example, since it's VR, it's often that people's avatars will bump into you or get in your space, when I was playing I would usually get jumpscared because I've always been accustomed to having personal space, but with her, she doesn't get jumpscared, or even really move, I asked her why she didn't get at least a bit spooked because it's VR, it's very immersive, and she explained to me that people bumping into you is gonna happen regardless when you are here (here as in VRChat) so she's used to it, similar to how I am used to having my own personal space and that's why it spooks me.

She also even has her own criticisms of some of the things that happen in VRChat (because yes, some very annoying things do happen in public lobbies), for example, I personally don't really mind crashers, I only see them as mild annoyances but then I just brush it off, while for her, she gets a bit more angry about it than me, because of this she often tells me to keep my shield level on VRchat on because of it.

Overall in a nutshell, very good progress and surprisingly a lot quicker results than I initially thought (I was thinking it would take months for her to even say her first sentence tbh,,) so yippe!!

22. What writing programs did you use? Did you write by hand?

In 2024 I made the switch from Google docs to Scrivener for writing, and I haven't looked back. It's got a lot of features I need, esp the "snapshot" feature and split screen/scrivenings ability between a lots of docs. It's made things a lot easier for me bc I can keep all of my WIPs and event info/masterlists in one place🙏 Honesty so worth trying it bc they do free trials and there's coupons online for deals. (Sorry not trying to sound like an ad, I just love it🤣)

I also started a fandom journal in 2023 and continued it in 2024, mostly to keep track of my wc info for the Inkingitout Challenge (I didn't meet my goal but did better than I expected). I used it more in 2024 to write down all of my writing sprint totals, ideas for fics, snippets & some scenes. I don't know why, but during some of my writing blocks in 2024, where typing was daunting af... I could manage writing down on paper, I guess it tricked my brain🤓

alice !! im started college and omg im so scared and anxious of moving overseas. literally screaming inside as days near by. so i wanna say ill probably miss a lot of updates which is sad but ILL BE BACK AND START WORKING MY MIND WITH THEORIES. 😋 mini rant, most of my friends are already in their second or third year of college and me just starting college makes me feel im so behind in life. honestly I finished school right after covid and with that mindset I knew I can’t really cannot get a degree or do anything. I needed a good break, which really didn’t go that well but I would say it was good. yeah sometimes having brown parents is a battle you have to fight. Also I didn’t really have a career choice made by the end of school. I feel like the gap years I had (which btw I spent working) was somewhat good for me so I can really think about what I wanna do. however I do kinda wanna say my decision for moving abroad was a bit rushed maybe or this is just the anxiety in me ? now im thinking of moving abroad is really worth it or not 😞.i know im still young and college isn’t really about age, rather about education. but peer pressure and pressure from my parents are just so much. i have been coping with these thoughts in a healthy way, but sometimes its just eats me up. Regardless im so excited for college and I can’t wait to get good education !!

ml you are not behind at all!! you're starting COLLEGE!!! you're already ahead 🫶 and i've had plenty of friends who took gap years after high school to work a little and take some time to find themselves before they started college, and they were really successful in college because of that! i so get you with the brown parents though but trust they'll chill out eventually 🤧 and it's good that you got to take some time to think about what you wanted to do in the future!! a lot of people enter college and feel really torn halfway through their degree, so it's a universal feeling dw

and honestly i got the same cold feet before starting my undergrad! i'm sure it's a lot more intense for you since you'll be traveling abroad :( but don't worry the experience will be worth it!! i'm sorry that the peer pressure and expectations from your parents are getting to you though :(( maybe take some time during your first year to figure out if this is what you truly want,, it's never too late to make a decision on how to live your life ! but it'll definitely be an exciting chapter in your life regardless 🥰💖
