QUICK SYNASTRY OBSERVATIONS^_^
Venus 1H Synastry is nooo joke aside from the strong very obvious chemistry and attraction, if you or them identify as straight yall could literally turn gay for each other 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩🤣
Tumblr media
Moon 1H Synastry is NAWTTT for the avoidants 😔!!! House person could really depend on moon person for validation and theres so much hidden things in this relationship like secrets and resentment </3 this could depend on the entire chart though!!! the good cute side though is that you both could lowkey have feelings for each but never telling each other because you both just know…
Tumblr media
Mars 1H Synastry is lowkey so attractive like aside from the strong physical attraction, mars will literally do anything to please or meet house persons needs or desires 😭 i told this guy who had his mars in my 1h that i really liked his paintings and if he could make one for me and that boy had his gloves and canvas out the next hour😭🤣
Tumblr media
Mars 8H Synastry not gonna lie i know some of yall be loving mars in the 8h synastry but this synastry placement irked me ouwwttttt overtime😭 as house person in this situation mars person was FEINING for me he was a real freakazoid like the freakiest of them all he was basically FERAL and i was chill with it for a few months but it seemed like thats all he wanted to do and its like can we just talk tonight❤️? Mars will not understand this because theyll percieve almost anything house person does as provocative and sexually enticing but this could go for both of you guys so idk🥴
Tumblr media
Pluto 7H Synastry is cute at first because pluto will be so infatuated and interested in house person, youll notice pluto person will be the first to look at your stories without even following you sometimes and its like aw they must rly like me imma let them be :) but behind the scenes theyre checking your social media almost 24/7 looking at all your interactions online and probably will lowkey start stalking all of ur friends too 😭 the pluto person will do this without house person knowing (if theyre sneaky enough) feeling the need to anticipate the house persons actions or feelings … “i just wanna talk and conversate cause I usually just stalk and yk masturbate and I finally got the courage to ask you on a date so if you say yes, let the future fall into place, cunt” (she by tyler the creator resembling pluto 7h synastry👀👁️)
Tumblr media
North Node 2H Synastry is lowkey cute in a way bc this is a “i gotta get rich” after looking at house person once😭! north node will literally see house person as this rare beautiful diamond that they wont wanna lose and they will let house person know about this too! but this is just the good side of this placement bc this could also lead to self worth issues feeling like u guys arent worth each other leading to insecurities showing out in this relationship🤬
Tumblr media
Uranus 10H Synastry is lowkey a shocker to house person from my experience when it came to a certain career path, in my case fashion, uranus really changed my perception on it 😭 showing me the true reality of the fashion world and its like uhhh idk if i wanna do this anymore☺️! but at the same time uranus person could really be inspiring to house person because of how unconventional and unique they are! i also noticed uranus person could really influence house person to be unconventional and unique aswell! house person could go thru a lot of sudden changes with uranus person when it comes to their career and how they end up being percieved in person or online if this relationship ends up being public.
Tumblr media
Sun 2H Synastry is nice to have with someone because sun person will motivate house person to improve in any area of their life they will be on you too (for good obviously)😖😩 Sun person will wanna see house person thrive financially and just in general giving house person opportunities for this. There is potential jealousy on both sides mostly house person because of achievements, wealth and values literally can be anything 😣

JADEEEE i'd love to see an interaction between hotch and teacher!reader outside of school? maybe jack sees her first and step away from hotch for a moment to say hi, hotch gets scared when he realizes jack left but reader comes with him just a moment later because she's panicking too like 'why are you alone? where's your dad?' and jack takes her to him. is that ok??? i hope so! love you <3333
I love you ty for your request! —Hotch flirts with Jack’s favourite teacher, because he’s never as subtle as he should be. fem, 2k
Jack reads a couple of books a week now his dad is home more often. His mom used to read to him some because he loves them, but she preferred to tell her own on the fly. His dad isn’t as good a story teller, and when he does try the stories don’t end up very happy, so they read. Sometimes two or three books a night if they're short ones.
With Jack’s library card they can borrow ten books. With his dad’s, another ten. Twenty altogether, enough to last the month if they’re careful or if dad gets called away a lot, which he usually does.
“Can I look for Super Pup?” Jack asks his dad.
Aaron sits on a chair a little too small for him in the kids section. “What?” he asks, looking up from the back of the large picture book Jack’s just handed him.
“Super Pup?”
“I’ll help, buddy.” Hotch looks like he’s going to stand, then hesitates. “In a second. Don’t go where I can’t see you, Jackers.”
Hotch is tired. He didn’t come home until very late, but he’d woken Aunt Jess anyway and, when Jack woke, there his dad was sleeping in the beanbag by his bed. He’s sore all over now and exhausted from a restless night. Jack feels sorry, as much as he can for being six nearly seven, but he also knows that his dad doesn’t mind the hurting. It was nice to wake up together after a few days apart.
And now he’s brought him to the library, and after that they’ll go for groceries. Jack should be quick. If they get home before dinner time his dad will ask him if he wants to nap together, which is the best. They just lay there in the big bed with the fan on and snooze until it’s too late to cook, so his dad breaks out the takeout menus, and promises he won’t do it again with a quick hug from behind.
As though it makes him a terrible parent for feeding his kid. Jack can’t know how guilty it makes Hotch feel to do it, and Hotch doesn’t seem to notice how much Jack loves these days where his dad is exhausted and totally his.
Jack runs around looking for Super Pup. Hotch’s phone beeps in his pocket, and he fights to keep his eyes open.
A ways away, you browse the fiction section in a crouch, knees somehow totally under your skirt, flicking aside spines of skinny books for something you can read at lunch time. Something that doesn’t require much attention, and could be read in short intervals. You used to demand a half hour to yourself when you first started teaching, but that was before the lonely kids started cropping up. Kids with no friends, or sad smiles, who want company and quiet alike.
You reach for a pink-spined Japanese translation as a little hand pats your elbow. You’re so used to kids you say, “What’s up?” before you remember you aren’t at work.
You turn in your crouch to look behind you. “Oh, hi, Jack! What are you doing here?”
“Me and dad are looking for books.”
You smile at him genuinely, happy to see your favourite student, even if you’re terrified on the inside at the prospect of his father. He’s the most gentlemanly man you’ve ever met. He’s arduous in how respectful he is, he’s understanding, and he’s tall, dark, and handsome. It is a chilling collection of traits. You stumble whenever you have to talk to him.
But Jack is easy. You and Jack talk every day. “What sorts of books? Just for fun?”
“I want to read Super Pup.”
The kids love Super Pup and his magic bark. You stand promptly, suddenly much taller than Jack as you brush down your skirt. “Wait,” you say. Mr. Hotchner gets called away for work all the time, but he wouldn’t leave Jack alone, would he? “Where’s your dad? You’re not by yourself, are you?”
Jack laughs. “No! I’m looking for Super Pup! Dad’s tired.”
You can’t decipher exactly what those two things have to do with each other, but you can guess how panicked his dad will be to find Jack so far from the kid’s section. Fiction is the other side of the library. “How did you end up over here?” You offer your hand. “Should we go back and find your dad?”
“I saw your skirt, Miss L/N. I like the flowers.”
He takes your hand, clumsy to your gentleness. “Thanks, honey. Let’s go find dad before he calls his scary friends and has your name on the news.”
You get to the kids section slowly. Endearingly so, but nerve-wracking, too, because Mr. Hotchner can be intimidating. Jack likes holding your hand, you think, clinging to your fingers as he guides you across the library, past the staircase down to the first floor, and back to the kids section.
“Jack?” Mr. Hotchner asks loudly, turned away from you both near the graphic novel selection. “Jack.”
“Mr. Hotchner,” you say.
“Dad!”
He spins on his heel. His shoulders relax noticeably, but the stress in his gaze remains.
“Jack, I said stay where I can see you,” he says, not half as scolding as he could be as Jack lets go of your hand and runs to his legs, where he stops. “Please, buddy. You gotta listen to me.”
Jack turns between you and his dad with a smile, “But look, it’s Miss L/N.”
“I can see,” he says softly.
Mr. Hotchner leans down, taking Jack up into his arms with impressive ease, and begins the walk to you where you’ve stayed.
“I hope he didn’t interrupt you,” he says.
“Please,” you say, “he’s my favourite. Just–” You wince. “Don’t tell anybody at school I said that, Jack. Please.”
“I think we can keep this secret,” Mr. Hotchner says.
“He was just telling me that you’re looking for Super Pup. If you don’t find it, we have copies at the school library. And we can always order you one.”
Mr. Hotchner gives you a small, and what you know to be rare, smile. “I don’t think he even looked.”
“I did look!” Jack disagrees, though his disagreement barely has any attitude to it, a credit to his upbringing.
“You clearly weren’t looking in the right place.”
“I was too. How would you know, you were sleeping!”
“I wasn’t sleeping,” Mr. Hotchner says to you.
You tuck your hands behind your back. “It’s okay, Mr. Hotchner, I believe you. In my classroom we like to say we’re resting our eyes.”
“Aaron,” he says, as he says whenever you speak to each other, and as you always forget to call him. Not a demand but a suggestion you’d swear to be bordering affectionate.
You’ve been Jack’s teacher for two months this year, and almost the entire year previously. In the summer when they leave, you’ll find out if you’re moving up a grade with him, but until then, you’ve made the most of such a nice kid, and you aren’t shy to tell that to Aaron. You don’t mind that Jack spends his lunch time with you. He embodies all of the reasons that pushed you to become a teacher in the first place.
And his father is a good reason to stay. He’s one of the only nice (hot) dads.
You do worry often that he can read your expression. His lips have quirked into a bemused smile, what’s so funny? He’s terrifying.
“Aaron,” you rush to say, and fill the silence you’ve made, “It’s nice to see you.”
“It’s nice to see you, too. You’ll see me on Monday, so you’ll be sick of me by Tuesday.”
You rock ever so gently on your heels. “You aren’t working.”
“It’s Jack’s birthday.”
You nod, pleased. “I know! I know, we already talked about what cupcakes he wants, didn’t we? Everybody’s gonna have rainbow sprinkle, and for a treat we’re going to watch a movie before lunch.”
“Do you do that for every kid?”
“I do.”
“How do you afford it?” He lowers his gaze. “I just mean, it’s expensive to do that for every birthday.”
“Luckily for me and unluckily for the kids, quite a few of them have birthdays outside of term time. Thirty students is three trays of ten, and that doesn’t usually break the bank, even if things get tight. But… I don’t know, I guess I just have to make room when it does. It’s special to feel special, and,” —you smile, exuberant and a little shy at once, clutching your elbow in your hand— “Jack always makes everybody else feel special. ”
The boy in question turns into his fathers chest, pleased beyond words.
Aaron gives you a long, long look. “Thank you,” he says.
“Oh, you’re welcome.”
You say goodbye to Aaron and Jack and wish them both a good weekend, which you spend wondering what the pressure of Aaron’s hand would be like on your shoulder, and if you should be ashamed of yourself for thinking about it at all. He seems like he’d give a good hug. You catch yourself picturing him opening a door and ban yourself from thinking of him at all.
Monday morning, you stand at the door ushering your students inside, and you can’t help beaming when Jack and Aaron arrive.
“Aw, Jack, where’s your birthday badge?” you ask, fall air nipping your nose.
“He was feeling too shy,” Aaron says. He’s in casual dress again. Some men should be banned from half-zips, it’s inhumane.
“You were?” You bend just a bit, hand in your pocket. “Well, I thought you might be, so I brought my badge from home. It’s super shiny, bud. What do you think?”
You show Jack the badge, It’s My Birthday in silver against a rainbow backdrop.
Maybe it was silly to bring, but you had a feeling he wouldn’t want to wear one, and maybe he should. He deserves for all his friends to give him some attention, and to have them fight over who gets to sit with him at lunch.
“We have something for you,” Jack says.
You stand straight. “You do?”
Aaron hadn’t been expecting to be the one to give it to you, that much is obvious. He hesitates for a second before he passes you a small brown box, the top of which is made up of four leaves folded into a dome. You have an inkling of what it might me.
“Thank you… Can I open it now?” you ask.
“I think you should wait for lunch,” Aaron says.
You raise your eyebrows but abide by his suggestion, murmuring another thank you as Aaron bends to give Jack a hug. “Have a good day. I’ll be here to pick you up, I promise,” he says.
It’s a great day. The kids are excited for cupcakes and overjoyed to get them before lunch. Not a crumb goes uneaten, and as they all sing for Jack with his borrowed badge, he’s actually happy for the attention. He doesn’t eat with you at lunch, which is a great thing even if you love his company.
Alone, you fold back the leaves of your mysterious box and smile like an idiot when you confirm what’s inside. A cupcake slightly more sophisticated than rainbow sprinkle spreads icing across the brown carrier, and a business card leans against the other side.
The front of the card is as you’d expected it to be spelling out Aaron’s contact details from work, and you combust thinking he wants you to call him, but it’s the back that you’d been meant to see. You read it as you fold down the leaves of the cupcake carrier,
Thirty students, three trays of ten. What does that leave for you? —Aaron.
Flirt, you think firmly, happily. He’s such a flirt.

Heart On Your Sleeve Part 6
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
written for steddiebigbang2024 and belatedly posting here!
-----
Steve keeps dropping his heart.
Somewhere buried deep inside him there's an edge of terror that he's going to damage it even worse - but it also makes a muffled schloop sound every time it hits the ground that is, objectively, the funniest sound he's heard all night.
Robin thinks so too, because she keeps giggling every time it happens - first these tiny little snorts, then somewhat hysterical giggles, then a full on bark of laughter, and then he's dropping it again because he's laughing, too, and she's so cute, how is he supposed to not be a little in love with her?
Dustin and Erica don't seem to find it that funny, though.
"Oh my God, Steve, put your heart in your chest!" Dustin hisses at him the next time they have to slow down to wait for him to scoop it back up.
The very idea sends a chill through him, and he makes a face at Dustin.
"No!" he retorts.
"No? Are you serious? It took me weeks to get you comfortable taking it out around me and now you want to wave it around? No, that's not what I - stop that," Dustin scolds him.
Which is rude, considering Dustin is the one who told him to wave it around in the first place.
But maybe he also has a point, because Steve's grip on his heart slips on a downward wave and this time he doesn't so much drop it as toss it, sending it skittering over the floor.
"Oops," Steve says.
Robin bursts into a sharp bray of laughter.
He loves her so much.
Dustin's gone chasing after his heart, and he flinches when the kid picks it up, expecting it to hurt, to feel wrong the way it had when -
But no.
It feels nice.
"Huh," Steve says, watching Dustin bring it back over.
"Why is it all wrapped up?" Erica asks, wrinkling her nose at it.
"So it doesn't explode," Steve replies, then giggles when Robin nods solemnly and mimes an explosion with her hands.
Dustin rolls his eyes, trying to shove it at him. "Put it away!"
Steve twists away. "Nooo," he protests. "I can't breathe."
Dustin's expression goes from frustrated to concerned so quickly it gives Steve whiplash. "Your ribs? Did they break something? Shit, Erica, can you-"
Erica's already at Steve's side, tugging up his uniform shirt and squinting at his ribs. "What am I supposed to be looking for?"
"Can't breathe with my heart inside," Steve clarifies, even though he's actually pretty sure he does have a broken rib or two. It doesn't hurt, so it's a way lower priority. "I hate it, it feels like it's trapped and hollow and alone."
Dustin and Erica look at each other. Steve doesn't think they look irritated, but he can't really tell.
"Steve," Dustin says softly. "Since when?"
"Since always," Steve replies.
There's silence in response, and he worries briefly that he's said the wrong thing. But then Dustin sighs and pops open his chest, nudging his own heart aside so he can drop Steve's next to it. He closes it up again before Steve's even managed to get a fully formed thought, let alone words, and -
His heart gives a little stutter, and it's weird to feel the emotion that causes it without feeling the corresponding pounding against his own chest.
Dustin apparently feels it, though, because he squints at Steve. “What was that?”
“What was what?” Steve returns.
“You felt something!” Dustin retorts.
“Wait, you can feel what I'm feeling?” Steve demands.
“Of course I can,” Dustin scoffs, like it should be obvious. “I have your heart, don't I?”
He looks over at Robin, to see if she knew that, too, but she's too busy snickering at something the light is doing in the fountain, and -
Oh.
Wow.
Okay, that's much better.
He feels so much better, and even when he's handed his heart again after he and Robin are deposited in the movie theater -
The feeling lingers.
In a too bright bathroom that smells like bleach and vomit, Robin holds out her hands for his heart.
“Let me see,” she insists, and Steve doesn't think twice about handing it over.
She might as well have just put her own heart in his hands, after what she just shared with him.
Still, he feels trepidation when she unwraps it, even more when she blanches at the sight of it. But -
“Hey,” Steve says, leaning in to look more closely at it. “It looks better.”
“Better?” she demands. “This is better?”
“I guess I should put it back in my chest if it makes it better,” he says reluctantly.
Robin frowns. “But it hasn't been in your chest. Just Dustin's.”
Wait.
That's right.
“I learned about this!” Steve snaps his fingers, trying to place it. “Science class. People survive things they shouldn't if they give away their hearts?”
Robin, bless her, either remembers it better or has figured out what he's trying to say. “Your heart heals better if someone's keeping it safe for you?”
There's barely a second before she's opening her own chest, taking out her heart and putting his in instead.
“Here,” she says, handing her heart to him almost carelessly. “Watch this for me.”
The moment it's settled in his chest, though, he can feel - how scared she is, how terrifying this all seems. The edges of it are still dulled by the drugs in both their systems, but it's there.
“I'm sorry,” he tells her quietly, guilt twisting from him to his heart in her chest.
“I'm not,” she replies, sharp and stubborn.
And the thing is -
She isn't.
The paramedics don't insist on keeping him.
Steve thinks they might, if they could hear his own heart, but it's Robin's heart beating strong and steady in his chest, so they assume that no matter how bad he looks, he must not be in any danger.
He doesn't know what his heart sounds like, but judging by the look on the guy checking over Robin - it's not good.
But she's physically unharmed, so they must assume it's more emotional damage than anything else. He and Robin are two halves, right now, but put them together and they make a somewhat stable whole.
God, he loves her.
She must pick up the echo of his love, because she looks up, meeting his gaze. Her smile is a little sad, and he feels a rush of affection so strong that it almost takes his breath away, even if it's a little bittersweet.
"It's not like that," he tells her, as soon as she and him can huddle together away from the paramedics.
She frowns at him, a clear prompt to continue.
"I don't know if I know how to love someone this much, if it's not like that," he admits. "But I'm learning. I'm going to learn."
For Robin, he'll learn how to love someone so much he doesn't want to know what life is like without them, in a way that isn't romantic at all.
Robin comes home with him that night, their hearts still in each other's chests.
Steve almost can't bear the thought of taking his back at this point, and what he can pick up from Robin tells him she feels the same way.
There's a blinking light on the answering machine, and when he presses play, he smiles a little at hearing Eddie's voice.
“Hey, Steve, it's, uh, Eddie. Know I haven't stopped by in a while, but I saw the news tonight about the mall, and - can you just let me know you're okay? Okay. Yeah, okay, bye.”
He sounds a little like he's trying not to panic, and Steve feels himself go soft and fond.
“...huh,” Robin says, clearly getting an echo of what he's feeling. “Steve?”
Steve shrugs, a little helpless. “I don't know,” he admits.
She considers for a moment. “Okay.”
“Okay?” he asks.
“You don't have to know,” she tells him.
“Okay,” he agrees.
He calls Eddie back while she showers, propped up against the bathroom door with the cordless phone in his hand.
“Hey,” Steve says when Eddie picks up. “It's Steve. Sorry, I know it's late.”
“No!” Eddie rushes to say. “No, it's okay, I was up. I saw - are you okay?”
“I've been better,” Steve admits. “There was some explosions, some rubble from the building collapsing. I've got cracked ribs and a concussion.”
“Jesus Christ,” Eddie mutters. “If you could stop getting beat up, it would really give my heart a break.”
Steve grins a little. “You worried about me? Thought it was my job to look out for you.”
He can't see him, but he's pretty sure Eddie's rolling his eyes. “Yeah, and who looks out for you, huh, asshole?”
Steve hums. “It's good to hear your voice. I missed you.”
Eddie's quiet for a moment. Then, “Do you want - do you need someone to come keep an eye on you, make sure you wake up every hour?”
He kind of wishes Eddie'd finished what he started to say, because yeah, he does want him, but that's not the question Eddie ended up asking.
“Robin's here,” Steve says. “She was caught in it, too, but she didn't get too injured. She's going to stay over tonight.”
There's a moment of silence.
“Right, of course,” Eddie mutters.
“Can you come over tomorrow?” Steve finds himself asking without really thinking about it. Eddie's never been over - he's technically never hung out with Eddie outside of school or work - but shit, he wants it. “I think the drugs'll be out of my system by then, so I won't be too annoying. You can meet Robin.”
“You do know I've met her, right?”
Steve makes a tsk noise. “You've met Robin from band, just like she's met Eddie from the lunch tables. But you don't really know each other, not like I-”
He cuts off, because he's not really sure he has the right to say that. Does he really know either of them like that?
Whatever. If he doesn't, he wants to.
“You do better as part of a trio, huh?” Eddie asks quietly.
“Well, yeah,” Steve agrees. “But this is different, this is better.”
Eddie snorts. “Sure, you're not the third wheel anymore.”
“It's not that,” Steve protests. It feels important for him to get this right, though he's not sure why. “I don’t care about being a third wheel, it never bothered me. But Tommy and Carol… there were always conditions, with their friendship. The older we got, the more there were. And I love Nancy and Jonathan-”
His heart spasms. He can't feel it, but he feels the emotions, and Robin's heartbeat in his own chest kicks up. He mutes the phone, for a moment, knocks on the bathroom door. “I’m okay!” he calls through it, feels a wave of relief coming from her, and lets himself feel simple, uncomplicated affection.
“But things are complicated with them,” he continues after he unmutes the phone. “I think they always will be.”
“And what, I'm uncomplicated?” Eddie asks, but he sounds more amused than anything else.
“You're something,” Steve agrees, not bothering to try not to sound warm and fond.
Eddie blows out a puff of air. “I have band practice tomorrow,” he says. “But I'll call you sometime later, okay?”
No, that doesn't sound okay.
“Is this one of those things where you're not really asking me if it's okay, you're just saying it so it sounds better?” Steve asks. “What would you do if I said it wasn't okay? If I said I really wanted you to come over?”
Eddie's quiet again. “Do you want me to come over?”
“Yes,” Steve replies immediately, because he's had it saved up since Eddie didn't finish asking him it in the first place.
If his heart were in his own chest, he's pretty sure it would be thumping in anticipation.
“Not tonight,” Eddie says finally. “But I do want to be friends with you, okay? I'll call you.”
He hangs up after that, and Steve stares at the phone until Robin comes out of the bathroom and finds him like that.
She doesn't have to ask what happened - probably because she felt what happened - she just sits next to him a while.
This is already written, and my plan is to post one part a day until it's all up here!

STILL INTO YOU
yandere batfam x cat villain! reader (+extra!!)
synopsis: moments wherein the batfam n co. realize that after all this time they’re still into you
status: unedited.
[AUTHOR’S NOTE:] Super sorry for the lack of fics everyone!! Lately I found out that my DID symptoms have gotten worse and that I’ve experienced a full blackout (and possibly more, I just have no memory of it). So I’ve just been trying to recuperate my mental health for a while with art related stuff. Which, on the positive side of things, means that I’ll be releasing a Webtoon (pilot) around this July!! Hope to see you guys there during the release!!
Can’t count the years on one hand
That we’ve been together
I need the other one to hold you.
Make you feel, make you feel better.
You never realized how much Bruce knew you until you two sat down and had a meal together. Why? You might ask. Well, you were supposed to have a dinner date with Tim today at the manor, but he was unfortunately caught up on a case. You were about to cancel it, maybe cause some chaos in town and then chill with Jason as revenge for your bestie bailing — but Tim insisted you hung out with his father instead.
The pair knew it was the only way for you to (A) Behave and (B) not sleep with Jason for the nth time that week.
Gazing at all your favorite foods displayed upon the excessively extravagant and expensive table you realized that aside from the second youngest, Bruce knew you the most out of everyone in the Batfamily by virtue of his contingencies and overall time as the Batman while you were training to be Catwoman’s successor.
It was so odd, seeing him so calm and not so hostile when you were around. Eerie.
“I’m sorry.”
“Hm?”
“I always saw you as a threat. Treated you like one. But you were just a kid stuck in a situation you didn’t have a hand on. I’m truly sorry. For treating you that way.”
“. . . Isn’t it your job? No hard feelings really. I’d be creeped out if you treated me so nicely — not the food though this is very much welcomed.” You ranted as you stuck a fork into your steak, pointing it at Bruce’s face. Yet, as much as how you were failing to achieve proper etiquette he didn’t seem annoyed more so . . . surprised?
“I hope to see you have dinner here again next week.” His hands stretched to awkwardly pat your head.
“Depends, will I have more of Alfred’s steak again?”
It's not a walk in the park
To love each other.
But when our fingers interlock,
Can't deny, can't deny you're worth it.
Koriand’r wasn’t an idiot. She knew about Dick’s lingering feelings for you.
Perhaps she may be. Considering the fact that she still tried to be in a relationship with him even then.
“Shit. Kitty? Kitty! Wake up you hear me?!”
“. . . I’m. . .” You coughed, groaning at the pain it triggered all throughout your body “ . . . here . .”
You raised your hand, too weak to reach his face you settled with holding his own. Dick squeezed your intertwined hands with a pained expression , and an intimacy unfamiliar to the alien.
But that wasn’t what made Koriand’r finally understand how hopeless their relationship was.
It was the fear in his face. His pretty features morphed into one of horror.
Ah, even after all this time. Dick couldn’t live without you.
Cause after all this time I’m still into you.
I should be over all the butterflies
But i'm into you (I'm in to you)
And baby even on our worst nights
I'm into you (I'm into you)
Let em wonder how we got this far
Cause I don't really need to wonder at all
Yeah after all this time
I'm still into you
Jason spent many, many grueling years under the influence of the LoA. And not once did his body forget the feeling of you.
The butterflies, the heart wrenching pain of being apart from you, and the fleeting, venomous hatred you two shared.
After all, it was your name that escaped his lips the moment he awoke from the dead. Your face the first on his mind. Your voice that he longed to hear again.
He had plenty of time to prepare for this moment. Months? Maybe even years.
“Hey, cool helmet. You a Deadpool fan or . . ?”
But even then, your appearance still made him more nervous than confronting his family once more. More nervous than fighting the villain that ended his life.
“Yikes, awful cut you got there. Need me to patch you up buddy?”
You had grown. He had too, even if it was through some magic, deus ex machina water. Seeing the change in your features, how you shed your youthful look of naïvete and grew into a beautiful/handsome/pretty specimen almost made him break all his plans just to be with you again.
“I know that you’re shy and all but I need words.”
“Yeah.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be here til the vigilantes show up.”
For his revenge’s sake he hopes that you’ll stay for longer.
Recount the night that I first
Met your mother
And on the drive back to my house
I told you that, I told you that I loved ya.
You felt the weight of the world
Fall off your shoulder
And to your favorite song
We sang along to the start of forever
It was one of those nights when you intruded on the Batfam’s nightly patrols. This time your victim was Damian. And strangely, no one else. He explained that the rest were taking a break.
Leaving out the fact that he poisoned them with some self engineered laxatives.
It was relatively calm until a heist suddenly started in one of the banks you wanted to pick off. Damn.
“Hey, I didn’t know you listened to [Favorite Artist(s)]” You eyes widened at the sound of the music playing the background as Joker’s men began to surround you and Robin.
“Just a casual listener. How did you meet my mother anyhow?” Damian sheathed his katana. Opting to take down his foes by hand to hand combat as he peeled his eyes and ears to listen to you.
Besides he could see that your eyes weren’t on him anyways, so there was no point in showing off.
. . . Not that he was doing that.
“Huh? Well, I know everyone really.”
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“What if I don’t want to?”
He sighed, bashing a poor guy’s face with his knees, his hands adding force with a pull — yikes. “I don’t know why I bother with you.”
“She hated me at first. Courtesy of Cat Woman and the Bat being together.” You turned to him, and he ducks.
“Then I lost someone really, really important to me. More than anything in this world. More than this world itself.” Your whip meets a goon behind him. Both of you hear a splat sound as the man falls to the floor. “And while everyone was calling me insane, when everything was breaking down around me. She was the only one who didn’t judge me for . . . the things that I did.”
“She supported me and was there for me no matter what.” You gaze at the blood on your weapon and cringe. “And then I realized your dad was an absolute bastard for leaving her behind. So I took up the mask again and made it my mission to make his life miserable."
"Even after the dinner?"
"Especially. Wanna bet on how long til he snaps?"
"Deal."
And after all this time I’m still into you.
I should be over all the butterflies
But i'm into you (I'm in to you)
And baby even on our worst nights
I'm into you (I'm into you)
Let em wonder how we got this far
Cause I don't really need to wonder at all
Yeah after all this time
I'm still into you
Some things just,
Some things just make sense
And one of those is you and I
Some things just,
Some things just make sense
And even after all this time
Tim honestly didn’t think he had it as bad as his brothers. Sure, he watched your every move and had extensive digital libraries on everything about you, but he did that for everyone. He was more rational; a man that clung unto his senses.
No it wasn’t his actions that made him realize how dangerously important you were to him, it was the way he felt doing so.
After an excessively arduous mission, the first thing he does as he gets back home is to open up his devices and get back to work. Surprise surprise, the stress wouldn’t go away. Not even when he stopped to play some games or catch up on Dungeon Meshi’s last episodes. And that always, always made him relax.
Anxious, his hands subconsciously guide him to that one folder.
Click Click
Dozens if not hundreds of holographic photos, videos and even fan art of you surrounded him.
Tim stares at a video he took when he first found out your identity.
Curling up into a ball with a blanket surrounding him, he slowly drifts off to sleep. Your voice lulling him into his overdue journey to dreamland.
Yeah, he was more rational than the rest. Yet, some things just made sense. Like you being the only thing in this world that manages to make his heart race and anxieties run away.
I'm into You
Baby not a day goes by that
I'm not into you
Jon was a bit dense. But even then he could see the signs of his best friend slowly losing himself to love and infatuation.
He would have been happy,
if it weren’t for the fact that he had a crush on you first.
Being the sweetheart he is, he backed off, respectful of Damian’s feelings (even if the latter wasn’t of his).
I should be over all the butterflies
But i'm into you (I'm in to you)
“Woah, you guys are done already?” Jon landed. As soon as he heard that he’d be able to fight alongside you after what felt like years (it was a couple of weeks), he flew all the way from Metropolis in record time.
If he knew what awaited him he probably wouldn’t have left at all.
“Yeah.” You gave him a thumbs up. Your head laid atop Damian’s lap as the domino masked vigilante ran his hands through your hair. His gloves off to his side.
“C-Cool.”
Jon cried himself to sleep that night.
Even after knowing of Damian’s feelings all this time, he could never stop his own.
And baby even on our worst nights
I'm into you (I'm into you)
Let em wonder how we got this far
Cause I don't really need to wonder at all
Yeah after all this time
I'm still into you
I'm still into you
I'm still into you

special act 4: spoiled
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N’s birthday started with a knock on her door early in the morning. Groggy and still wrapped in a blanket burrito, she shuffled to open it, only for her heart to nearly stop at the sight of Sunghoon standing there, looking unfairly good for this hour. Dressed in a sleek black coat, a small but fond smile played on his lips as he held out a small cake with a candle already lit.
“Happy birthday, my Lolove,” he murmured, voice still husky from sleep.
Her heart melted. “Hoon…” She stepped aside to let him in, rubbing her eyes before blinking at him. “Did you seriously wake up early just for this?”
“I had to beat your alarm,” he teased, placing the cake down on her coffee table. “Make a wish.”
She smiled, clasped her hands together, and silently wished before blowing out the candle. The room filled with the faint scent of vanilla frosting.
Just as she reached for a fork, Sunghoon clapped his hands together. “Okay, get ready. We’re going out.”
Y/N blinked. “Huh?”
He held up a sleek envelope and waved it in front of her. “Shopping spree. Birthday edition.”
Her jaw dropped. “Hoon—”
“Before you start,” he cut her off, raising an eyebrow, “I planned this. My finances are in check, and this is a special occasion. You’re not getting out of this, so don’t even try.”
Y/N crossed her arms, feigning stubbornness. “I don’t need a shopping spree. Just spending time with you is enough.”
His expression softened, but the determination in his eyes didn’t waver. “I know, Lolove. But I want to spoil you, okay? Just let me do this.”
A moment of silence passed before she sighed, knowing there was no winning against him. “Fine. But no crazy splurging, okay?”
Sunghoon simply smirked. “We’ll see.”
At the Luxury Mall
The first stop was a high-end beauty store that Y/N loved. Sunghoon guided her inside with his hand resting lightly on the small of her back, leading her straight to her favorite brand.
“I remember you said you were running out of this,” he mused, picking up a foundation bottle in her shade.
Y/N’s eyes widened. “You remembered that?”
Sunghoon scoffed. “Of course. I pay attention.” He grabbed a few more items from the shelves. “Now, get whatever else you need.”
Y/N hesitated before picking out a lipstick, holding it up to him. “What do you think? This shade or this one?” She held up another.
He took both, studying them with the seriousness of a finance major analyzing stocks. “The first one. It makes your lips look—” He paused, swallowing. “Nice.”
She smirked. “Nice?”
“Very nice,” he corrected, ears slightly red.
After grabbing her essentials (and a few extras Sunghoon sneakily added to the basket), they moved on to clothing stores. Y/N spotted a dress she liked but hesitated when she saw the price tag.
“I can pay for this one,” she offered.
Sunghoon shot her an incredulous look. “Are you seriously trying to fight me on your birthday?”
“Hoon—”
“Nope,” he said, taking the dress from her hands and heading straight to the counter. Y/N sighed, following behind as he confidently paid.
“You’re impossible,” she muttered.
“And you’re adorable,” he countered.
Their last stop was Tamburins, a store Y/N had been excited about since they stepped into the luxury mall. The moment they walked in, the calming scent of sandalwood and fresh florals filled the air, wrapping them in an inviting warmth. Sunghoon casually rested his hand on the small of her back as they browsed the elegant display of perfumes, each bottle a work of art.
Y/N picked up a tester bottle and spritzed some on her wrist, inhaling softly. “Mmm, this one’s really nice.”
Sunghoon, ever the attentive boyfriend, leaned in closer and took in the scent lingering on her skin. His expression was unreadable for a moment, then he exhaled through his nose. “Yeah… this is the one.”
She smirked at his reaction. “You think so?”
“Definitely,” he said, grabbing the bottle without hesitation.
Just then, a sales associate approached them with a bright smile. “You two make such a lovely couple,” she said warmly. “It’s really sweet how your boyfriend is treating you today.”
Sunghoon, standing tall with his hands in his pockets, gave a nonchalant shrug. “It’s her birthday,” he simply said, as if that explained everything.
The sales lady chuckled. “Still, not every man pays attention to what their partner likes. You’re very lucky.”
Y/N turned to Sunghoon, who was suddenly looking a little bashful, his ears turning slightly pink. She grinned, nudging him playfully. “I am, aren’t I?”
The sales associate nodded. “We actually have a matching fragrance from the same collection, if you’d like something for him too,” she suggested, gesturing toward the men’s section.
Sunghoon shook his head before Y/N could say anything. “I’m here for her, not me.”
Y/N, however, had other plans.
While Sunghoon was busy finalizing the purchase of her perfume, she quietly slipped away to the men’s counter and pointed at the bottle of his usual fragrance. It was the one he always wore—clean, sophisticated, yet warm, and she loved how it lingered whenever he was close.
“I’ll take this,” she whispered to the cashier, glancing over her shoulder to make sure Sunghoon wasn’t looking.
The cashier, sensing her need for secrecy, quickly rang up the purchase and handed her a small gift bag, which she discreetly tucked into her shopping bag before Sunghoon could notice.
By the time she returned to his side, he had already grabbed the bag with her perfume and was waiting for her, eyebrow slightly raised. “Where’d you go?”
“Just checking something,” she said smoothly.
Sunghoon narrowed his eyes slightly but didnt press further. Instead, he lifted her shopping bag and carried it himself. “Come on, birthday girl. One last stop.”
As the day wound down, Sunghoon guided Y/N into a high-end restaurant with soft golden lighting and plush seating. Their table was in a cozy corner with a perfect view of the city skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
“Did you plan this too?” she asked, taking in the intimate setting.
Sunghoon smirked as he pulled out her chair. “Of course. Only the best for my Lolove.”
Y/N rolled her eyes but smiled as she sat down.
As they browsed the menu, she glanced at him over the rim of her wine glass. “Are you really not going to let me pay for anything today?”
Sunghoon raised an eyebrow. “Not a chance.”
She hummed, then looked down at the menu, pretending to focus. “We’ll see about that.”
Dinner was filled with quiet laughter and soft conversation. Sunghoon, despite his usually reserved nature, was particularly talkative tonight, reminiscing about their early days together, their late-night coffee dates, and how she had first stolen his heart without even realizing it.
“You were always so animated when you talked,” he mused, twirling his wine glass between his fingers. “I think that’s what got me.”
Y/N raised a teasing eyebrow. “Not my stunning beauty?”
Sunghoon smirked. “That too. Obviously.”
Midway through their meal, Y/N casually reached into her shopping bag and pulled out the small gift she had secretly bought for him. She slid it across the table. “Here.”
Sunghoon blinked. “What’s this?”
“Just open it.”
He gave her a suspicious look but untied the ribbon and opened the box. His usual perfume bottle sat inside, perfectly wrapped.
“You—” He exhaled through his nose, shaking his head. “You really bought me something on your birthday?”
Y/N shrugged. “You do so much for me. It’s only fair I return the favor.”
Sunghoon stared at the bottle for a moment, fingers running over the sleek packaging before his eyes flickered back to her. His expression softened into something almost unreadable—something filled with quiet adoration.
“You’re unbelievable,” he muttered, shaking his head with a small smile.
“Do you like it?” she asked, resting her chin on her hand.
He let out a small huff, but it was fond. “Of course, I do.” He reached across the table, his fingers finding hers and giving them a squeeze. “Thank you, Lolove.”
The night ended with a slow walk back to their car, the city lights reflecting in Sunghoon’s dark eyes as he held her hand in his, fingers laced together as if he never wanted to let go.
And Y/N, warm from both the wine and the love he so effortlessly gave her, knew this was a birthday she would never forget.

The more I rethink Mel's arc which Amanda said was the best arc, the more I feel it encapsulates all the issues of Season 2.
Yes, I think Mel's arc is one of the most coherent with setup at end of Season 1 and end at Season 2. It's bittersweet but good.
But then I think how we got there and there are glaring problems:
- contrived way of being removed from the plot - the abduction by Black rose, Mel is now not a character influencing the plot, not even having opinion on the events of the plot - she will be in Black rose limbo until plot needs her to respawn in plot required place to get her 3 step resolution of the arc. This happens to Jayce, Ekko and Viktor too.
- over the top shocking cliffhanger that feels like something interesting is coming but in hindsight are just for cheap tension - so when Mel is abducted, it spawns speculation of what are Black Rose's intentions, I thought it was building towards something BUT it just segways into clips of exposition of her powers, of the Doomsday coming to piltover and of her mother's history. They abduct this poor woman for months on end to give us exposition. The same happens with Jayce shooting Viktor. We do not understand these actions, they just seem soo final and shocking and leading into something great. I would like to compare it to finale of S1 which is more shocking with Jinx's rocket yet we understand everything about it.
- making things emotional but in hindsight in a cheap way - so, remember when Black Rose kills Elora, Mel's friend? The emotions! The shock, right? BUT Why do they do it? Please, why would an organization that wants Mel to join them kill off her friend? What's the point of it aside for Mel to be sad? Elora actually got off well, she at least has a dialogue about her death unlike Isha or Vander or Jinx or Vander 2.0. If you compare these deaths to how logical deaths of Marcus or Finn were.
- inefficient storytelling - we get black rose scenes but they're just exposition that never flows into the main story. Never influences it. Contrary it makes the whole story worse, because now Black rose abducted Mel for months to tell her she needs to figure out how to avert the Doomsday. So months on end this organization just waited for her to solve the wall puzzle instead of trying to locate and assassinate the threat in Viktor, or influence Piltover politics to throw out Ambessa. This is cartoon logic.
- impossible to resolve conflicts - this is more on Ambessa' writing, because in ep. 8 she goes like this: Mel, it's not enough you'd join me to avenge Kino, we now have this weapon in you and this nice old chemist is lending me a hand making more weapons BUT it's impossible for me to change plans, because to stick it to Black Rose and mages in noxus as magic is unfair, I'm making this new army with the help of this nice mage I just found in the rubble. This army is also exclusively puppeteer by him. This is cartoon logic of a bad guy, not a human.
- keeping conflicts simple by keeping characters apart until 2 scenes before finale - this is hypothetical so please friends be nice, what if instead of Black rose abduction plotline the whole exposition part of it went like this: Black rose possesed Amara asks Mel to help her get introduction to her mother. Mel and Amara meet Ambessa, where Black rose reveals herself like in original scene and delivers the exposition about Mel's origins and Kino's fate. All the while changing faces between Amara, the Ionia princess and Kino to the horror of all involved. Then Mel's powers awaken like in the puzzle wall scene. Idk if that'd be better but it'd be more efficient and would keep Mel in Piltover. One scene instead of several, leaving Mel and Ambessa more time for an arc build up. Also Elora lives. Anyway, that's my stab at it while chilling and listening to 60 y/o lady showing off her spoon collection in an asmr. It's a very nice asmr.
- symbolism as character development - so when Black Rose gives Mel the Ionian processes necklace I felt really good, it felt as if Mel is finally carving her identity as Medarda from Medarda family history. But then it hit me, we don't know what she thinks of it, we don't know why she goes back to noxus on the ship, we know nothing of ot in her words. It's symbolism. Not as bad as Jayce having his whole character development this season conveyed in symbolism by role playing as Bear Grylls in Apocalypse survivor man, but it feels cheap anyway to not write character just use symbolism.
Anyway, those are my gripes and apparently this is the best arc of this show.

Ivy hadn't been able to attend the Chinese Grand Prix. She had been cooped up in a small studio in Perth to work on some more songs for her album.
That didn't mean she didn't watch. Max had FaceTimed her the second she could. Her heart skipped a beat when his smiling face appeared on her screen.
She missed him.
Which is why she was headed for the airport: on her way to surprise Max in Monaco. Oscar and Lando were headed off to the MTC, so she couldn't ask them to pick her up from the airport. She had pressured Oscar into giving her Daniel Ricciardo's phone number.
She had met the fellow Aussie a few times, twice in the paddock and once that week on his farm, but they had never exchanged phone numbers.
He had been very excited to come pick her up in Nice. Went on and on about how romantic this was. And how Max couldn't shut up about her.
Only twenty-one hours until she would see him again. God, she was so gone for this man.
Ivy spent the majority of her flights scribbling down some lyrics in her notebook. A big portion of her album was done now. Max had been so excited about the songs she had showed him.
She still remembers the beaming smile on his face when she played him a song over FaceTime. She wrote it after she and her ex broke up and about how the dating pool was slim; she hoped he wouldn't think it was offensive.
On the contrary; he laughed as he bopped along.
It had been Ivy feel all giddy. Never in her life had anyone made her feel that way. And they'd only known each other for about a month.
At the airport in Nice, she looked around as she dragged her suitcase behind her. Surely Daniel Ricciardo wouldn't be hard to miss. She squinted her eyes as she did another take around the airport arrivals hall.
"Looking for someone?"
Ivy jumped aside. Daniel's booming laugh could be heard all throughout the airport. They might have heard him all the way over in Monaco.
"Funny."
"Alright," Daniel grabbed Ivy' suitcase out of her hand, "let's get you to Max. He'll be so excited! Surely this is the most romantic thing someone's ever done. Can I film it?"

Daniel glanced over at Ivy, who was sitting in the passenger seat of his Porsche. She was fidgeting with her hands as she looked out the window.
"Do you want to stop at mine first? Shower or something?"
Ivy looked over at him. A grateful smile spread across her face. "Yes, please! Thank you. I don't want to show up at Max's house and smell like plane. Imagine that gives him the ick."
The Australian driver hummed, "somehow I don't think anything you do could ever give that man the ick."
They fell into easy conversation about music. Ivy invited him to the studio some time, maybe he could play guitar on a track or two. Ivy had grinned at the way his eyes lit up. Daniel, in return, had invited her to come to a race as his guest sometime.
They pulled up to the garage of Daniel's apartment in Monaco. Daniel frowned. Ivy followed his gaze. Max was standing in front of the apartment building. His arms were crossed over his chest and he looked anthing but happy.
Ivy looked over at Daniel, "we're you expecting him?"
Daniel groaned. He shook his head, he showed Ivy his phone. Heidi had texted him; it was all over Instagram. Pictures of him picking Ivy up at the airport.
Now, Daniel knew Max to be a pretty reasonable person in his privatel ife. But not when it came to Ivy. Daniel has no idea what happened the day he met her, but he's crazy about this girl. He's incapabale of reasonable thinking when it comes to her.
"Well, this should be fun."
Ivy glanced between Daniel in the driver's seat next to her and Max standing with his arms crossed outside; yes, this will be great fun.

Omg I cant stop wondering about the daggers meeting Mr. Right Now’s girl! How do you think that would go?
Tumblr media
Ohhhh, yes. I think Jake would be more nervous than Darlin' would about them meeting her. Since he can't take her to the bar yet, I think they would meet her at a party at his bestie Javy's place. Of course he's been telling Javy for weeks that he met this girl and he's so into her and she agreed to be his girlfriend. And Javy keeps telling him to bring her to the Hard Deck to meet everyone, but Jake never does.... so Javy would be surprised when Jake says he's bringing his girlfriend to the party.
Jake was sweating. Javy told him at work yesterday that he couldn't wait to meet this mystery girlfriend. But right now, even with some makeup and a new dress, you looked young. Like decidedly younger than all of his friends. He ran his hand over his face as he parked at Javy's.
"Let's go," you said, pulling on his hand. "I can't wait to officially meet them. I only know what Phoenix and Rooster look like from the night we met," you added with a smirk.
"Come here," Jake growled, tugging you closer to him. "Need to set some ground rules." He ran one rough palm around to the back of your neck and said, "I think you should keep your mission at the bar and your fake ID between us."
"I agree," you told him. "I won't say a word about how I originally tried to get Rooster to take me home for the night." Jake narrowed his eyes as you laughed. "Chill. I won't say anything about it!"
Now Jake just prayed his friends weren't obnoxious to you. They weren't actually too bad. Javy pulled him aside to say, "Jake... she's fucking cute as hell man, but how old is she?"
"She's twenty. She's in college."
Then he heard Nat ask you if you were aware that Jake was practically geriatric compared to you, but you responded to her by saying, "I know, but for some reason I fell in love with him. So if I have to change his hearing aid batteries in a few years, so be it." Then you and she laughed.
Perhaps the worst part was the way Bradley gave you a long, hard once over before winking at Jake. But even that didn't bug him too much when the two of you were back at his place that night, snuggled in bed.
"Did you have fun?" he asked.
"Yeah," you replied as he wrapped his arm around you.
He braced himself for the answer to his next question. "What did you think about Rooster after actually having a conversation with him?"
"Hmmm," you hummed. "He was nice. He's handsome, too. Pretty eyes. Tall. I can see why Kylie would give him a solid endorsement." Jake bristled, but you continued. "I like your green eyes better though. And I like how sweet you are. And how we're on lesson number thirty-eight with no signs of stopping."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, Jake. If I'm going to be in love with a very old man, I want it to be you."

Wake n' Bake**
Tumblr media
✨Just horny smut ✨
Warning: Drug use (weed), oral sex (fem receiving), fingering, mentions of sex
WC: 1.4k
You were tingling all over as you made your way from the bedroom to Harry’s music room. You saw your dog shoot up from the warm little square on the carpet where the sun always hit right at noon.
“Chill, s’just me, Jojo.” You said comfortingly to your mini schnauzer. And with that he yawned and laid back down. You giggled and then you giggled some more because you had giggled.
Suddenly you could feel every fiber of the soft carpet on your feet and you were very aware of your eyelashes and of the intense pulse of your pussy. You were fucking wet, it tickled a bit between your lips from the all too easy glide. You hummed in satisfaction as you saw him hunched over the piano.
“Hey baby.” He greeted you before you announced yourself. It was amusing to you that he could sense you, you could sense him too.
“Hiya. What’re you up to?”
“Just…seeing if I have anything good…here…” he said as he looked through scribbles of music notes on those pre-staved sheets.
“Mmmm…”
“Did you just wake up?” He asked and you smiled as you came up beside him and gently scratched at his head.
“Yep. Kinda wore me out last night.” You said and he chuckled.
“That’s what she said.” He mumbled very sarcastically.
“It’s true! My arms feel like noodles! Couldn’t even pick up my water jug.” You complained.
“I told you not to try to match my reps” he said with a smirk, you could hear it in his voice.
“Yeah…” you mumbled. “Hey, look at me.” You said and he turned to you and you smiled. But then he smiled wider, his eyes crinkled at the sides and his dimples carved into the spots beside his toothy grin.
“Are you high?” He asked in amusement and you giggled and nodded.
“I was listening to the new Kacey Musgraves song when I showered the other night and she said something about “wake & bake” and I’ve never done that before and it sounded so fucking nice. So I proposed to myself to give it a try. So I went to the dispensary yesterday and got myself a rapid onset gummy pack and now I’m really, really high.” You explained and he sputtered on a laugh.
“Yeah, I can see that. Your eyes all are lidded and glassy.” He pointed out, “You didn’t eat before?”
“No. Just brushed my teeth and ate it.”
“So it’s gonna be a long while.”
“God, I hope so.” You said and he chuckled. And after he settled you ran your hand down to his cheek and cupped it in your hand. “I had actually come down here for a purpose, not just to be nosy.” You said and he turned you.
“What d’ya need?” He asked sweetly and you smiled a bit.
“I need you to eat my pussy.” You said candidly and he immediately licked over his lips, “Please. I got so fucking horny. Need you to do it, don’t wanna do it myself.” You said and he stood up and grabbed your face and kissed you. It was a sloppy kiss. You were slightly uncoordinated at the moment and he smiled against your mouth as he brought one of his hands down to your shorts. He patted you over your pussy lightly a few times before pushing the center part aside and sliding his fingers right up against your sticky little folds.
“Fuck…” he chuckled in astonishment.
“I know…” you breathed out a laugh and he smiled up at you before pulling down your shorts. You wiggled out of them as he gathered his sheets of music and placed them on a stand just a couple feet away.
“Get on here.” He said patting the bench and you climbed on, “Sit on there.” He said, eying the piano. You listened and then moments later he was adjusting the bench before bringing it up to the keys and plopping down and proceeding to pull your legs apart.
“Baby…” you whined as he gently blew at your sopping little cunt.
“Don’t whine.” He tutted.
“Please… I need you to lick it. Please, Har. Please, baby.” You whined desperately.
“I will, baby. I will.” He appeased you as he got an eyeful of your glistening labia. You were so fucking pretty. Your skin so soft and tender and warm. You smelled nice too, he loved it when he could smell it on his own light beard for the rest of the day until he washed his face at night. You called him gross for it, but he didn’t give a damn. He was proud of wearing you on him like that.
With that image in mind he leaned in and took his first big lick. Bottom to top he laved his tongue slowly, catching every single sensitive bit on you. Your hips stuttered and you hissed as the pleasure rolled through you. It felt more intense now, you could feel the waves rippling down your legs and tickling down your feet. Then he licked over your clit and your head hung back as you moaned softly.
“Yeah baby, right there!” You encouraged him, hips grinding up against him. He wrapped his arms around your thighs and pulled you closer as he lapped down to your entrance and wiggled his tongue in. The pretty little tip of his nose bumped your clit over and over as his hot tongue plunged inside of you. “Damn…damn, you’re so fucking good, baby. Fuck I’m already getting close.” You rushed out before moaning again. Your tummy was starting to tighten up and he moved away and then sunk two fingers into you without a warning. You moaned and furrowed your brows as he hooked them into your g-spot right away. “Oh god, yes!” You mewled and he groaned before starting to flick at your clit with his tongue.
Your eyes rolled back as your body started to tense up. You felt your thighs and abs quivering, the sounds of his fingers plunging into you slow and deep were getting more and more distinguishable. He then started to suck on your puffy, little clit until your brain spazzed out. You swear you forgot to breathe as the tingles became so unbearable that they burst from deep in your core and out to the rest of your body.
“Fuck, baby! Fuck, baby! I’m coming so hard!” You whimpered, “No! No! Keep going!” you pleaded pathetically when he started to slow down. “Make me come again, daddy! I need to come some more.” You begged and he groaned and went faster.
You started to tremble again as he slurped on your over sensitive clit and fucked you with his fingers until your cum started to drip down his forearm.
“Shit!” He cursed lowly and quickly picked you up to get you off the piano. You whined at the emptiness but moments later you were on the ground and he was burying his fingers back into you and rubbing them around before he started to fuck you again. “Come for me, baby. Give me another one.”
You started to wither moments later. And once again he picked up the pace, going harder than before and next thing you knew, your breath was hitching and you were frozen as the most overwhelming pressure piqued inside of you. Your legs fell open wide and you started to squirt.
“Fuck yeah, baby…good, girl. Make a mess f’me.” Harry mumbled lowly against you as the intense spurts started to dwindle. You immediately started to tremble in over stimulation and he laughed before engulfing your clit between his lips.
“Harry! Fuuuuuck!” You shrieked and he was smiling as your eyes welled up and you squeezed them shut before you started to come. You gasped and writhed and sobbed as he held you down and forced you through that orgasm. “Please…please, I can’t stand it!” You whispered pitifully and he started to lighten up. “Oh my god…thank you. Thank you…” you panted as he lapped at you very gently.
“Course, baby.” He whispered before kissing your mound. He helped you sit up and then pulled you into his arms. His cheek was smushed into your head, “You should get high more. Like how horny you get.” He said snd you giggled.
“Honestly, me too.” You concluded, “Do you want to go have sex? Really erotic sex?”
“Yes, but I wanna be high too.” He said and you smiled. “Can I come inside you?” He asked with a hopeful grin and you pressed your forehead into his and nodded.
“Yeah, I’d really love that actually.” You hummed and he smirked.
“Of course you would.” He chuckled and kissed your head. “C’mon, let’s get back in bed then so I can stuff your slutty pussy full.”

Hey, i'm not sure if i can ask u this(u can just not answer if u want)but here i was wondering....
What Would happen if Sun and Mac(separate) met a fem Reader that is an incredibly nice and chill(and very beautiful)person, she's really kind and looks out for them, they bond and become friends in the process, but then after one crazy drunk Night, they don't see the Reader nor hear bout' her for a while(which upsets them a lot), until they run into her again, trying to contain their joy(or frustration if u prefer) they suddenly notice a child behind her,one that looks exactly like them, demanding an explanation, turns out the Reader didn't tell them anything BC they were scared of simply Being Seen as a "one Night stand", not having their feeling Being reciprocated and having their child Being rejected(also didn't want push the fatherly into them) so she raised the child herself, and always made sure to give them all her love despite not having it's father(s) by her Side.
a/n: I got a bit carried away and of course Macaque’s is long because this would shatter his trust and it wouldn’t recover as fast as Wukong would.
One night stand reunion //Sun Wukong x fem!reader x Macaque (separately)
Sun Wukong
Tumblr media
When he first met you he swore that love at first sight wasn’t a thing but you were incredibly nice and beautiful, maintaining a chill attitude no matter the situation and easily continuing the conversation naturally.
You both first met at a festival on the outskirts of the city where you found him talking with another boy before catching your gaze. Of course, you knew who he was but it didn’t really matter to you since you just wanted to talk to him.
After a couple of minutes, you both warmed up to one another and talked the night away. You both clearly hit it off immediately and slowly became friends which started edging towards more as you both said flirt after flirt.
One night both of you were having drinks and became tipsy, getting closer and closer with hands roaming up both of your bodies. You kissed passionately and slowly stripped down to nothing, ending the night in each other's arms exhausted and panting harshly.
However as days passed he didn’t see you and started to search all over the city, asking MK and the gang if they’d seen you and describing your features only to find nothing. Anybody could tell Wukong was depressed about your sudden disappearance and tried to cheer him up only for every attempt to fail.
A couple of years later suddenly MK calls Wukong to come to the shop since someone was asking to meet him and zoomed over to meet this stranger. You were nervously pacing back and forth with your child holding onto your hand behind you, poking you to get your attention, and looking wide-eyed at Wukong who stares shocked at you both.
His eyes go from you to your child who is almost a carbon copy of him aside from a few details and back to you, ushering your kid to MK and Pigsy while you listen to his frustration and grievances. He was right on some points and you teared up when you yelled that you were scared he didn’t love you back or worse that he didn’t want the baby so you raised them alone.
There were a few minutes of silence before Wukong kneeled down and peered over at his kid, slowly coaxing them out and smiling warmly when he introduced himself and apologized for not being in their life.
The entire night was emotional for everyone and you all spent the night on FFM, sharing stories from the past years and cuddling each other to make up for lost time.
Macaque
Tumblr media
Now you were at a full moon harvest festival when you decided to take a break and hang on the edge of the area when you spotted a dark-furred monkey leaning against a tree. He didn’t seem up to chat and mostly ignored you for a bit, respecting his wishes and sitting in pleasant silence. You heard him sigh and speak up, making a joke about how persistent you were to make conversation.
Macaque was surprised by how insistent you were to talk to him but also how nice you were, respecting his wishes and relaxing next to him. You were gorgeous on top of how amazing your personality was it made him want to know you more than just a stranger but his fractured trust issues made it hard to get to know you better.
Unlike Wukong it takes a couple of weeks to become good friends and a couple of months to get to that night where you get drunk, leaning on him and slowly creeping closer. Another drink and you both go for a kiss, climbing onto his lap and wrapping your arms around his neck. You bring him back to your apartment and lead him to your bedroom, quickly stripping and feeling him trailing kisses down your neck.
All of a sudden though, in the following days you disappeared, and he at first thought you were busy so he left it at that but it quickly changed when he couldn’t find you anywhere. All he could find was a note taped to your door for him and it read that you were eternally sorry for what you were about to do but you didn’t want to burden him.
This shattered already broken trust issues and caused him to go into a year-long depression where he had so many different emotions bothering him it physically pained him. No one could get him out or break him out of it and he hated that a part of him still held out hope for you.
2 or so years later he seemed to have finally been getting over you or at least seemed as though he got over it to others when he was walking along the marketplace only to see a familiar face pass through the crowd. Without hesitation, he slipped into the shadows to see if it was really you and it was!
Part of him was furious that you had the audacity to show up here like nothing had ever happened but the other part was nearly crying out of joy that you were back. Without question, he dropped you through a shadow portal to a more private area and stepped out of the shadows.
You both stared at one another before he started shouting about how you didn’t even explain why you left or bothered to even tell him in person. He laid into you with shout after shout and screaming how much you hurt him with tears pricking his eyes, looking at your face with tears streaming down your face, and waited patiently for a response.
However, a small voice spoke up, and a nearly identical version of him but a toddler pulled on your hand also crying, asking you if you were okay and to not cry with a hand over one set of their six ears. You continued to sob but kneeled down on the concrete to hug your kid barely sputtering out apologies to them about the noise and that you were just sad.
He watched in shock as the dark-furred cub wrapped their tail around your arm and cupped your face, trying to wipe your tears and getting caught in a staring match with him. The kid looked back and forth between their mom and him before standing protectively in front of you and correctly assuming he was the reason you were upset.
After a couple of minutes, he knelt down as well continuing to look at your kid and having trouble figuring out what to say since he was still hurt but also now understanding the situation. You sniffled and wiped the remaining tears from your eyes, staring at the ground beginning to explain that you panicked.
You told him how after a couple of days you took a pregnancy test and it came up positive but you assumed that he didn’t love you back and would be disgusted or hateful if he found out about your baby. Then explain to your kid that he was their father and profusely apologizing and understanding if he never wanted to see you again.
It was like Macaque was looking into a mirror as he saw the child’s six ears flutter and he took down the glamour around his own ears, seeing the cub light up in astonishment and touch their own ears. They slowly walked toward him and tentatively put his hand out, wanting to touch his dad and slowly allowing them to hug him.
All the while you looked on with a bittersweet smile and heard Macaque respond that it would take a long time for him to fully trust you again but he could understand why you what you did. You started crying when you saw him quietly crying too and crumbled as you were allowed to hug him as well.

Mistborn Era 1 Protagonists as the Seven Deadly Sins
[Spoilers for Mistborn Era 1 & Secret History!]
Because turning VILLAINS into the Seven Deadly Sins feels too easy, too unsatisfying. But which protagonists embody each of the Seven Deadly Sins? Now, that feels like an interesting question...
1. Wrath: Vin...but also Kelsier
Vin did eventually learn to set aside her wrath, but I'm thinking specifically of the Vin who went to Keep Hasting and simply slaughtered everyone there, the Vin who cut Straff (and his horse) in half with a giant sword. That's some wrath, baby.
But of course, if there's one person who has a surplus rage, it's Kelsier. He's the one who wanted to simply murder as many nobles as possible in revenge for all the suffering they had caused--and anyone who chose to work for them too.
2. Lust: Allrianne
I know, I know. The optics of having a woman as the embodiment of lust are not great. But Allrianne is the character who used her Rioting abilities to make the man she wanted fall in love with her, so... Of any of them, she's the embodiment of lust, I think, of doing anything to get the object of her desire.
3. Greed: Preservation...but also Kelsier
Preservation wanted to hold on to everything he had, to prevent anything and everything from changing or going away. That's a type of greed, I think, to hold on so tightly to what you have.
And speaking of holding on...Kelsier refused to give up his life even when he died. I remember the moment when he tried to get Vin to stay with him, but Vin understood what it meant to let go in a way Kelsier never could. Kelsier and Preservation are both a little bit like dragons hoarding their gold.
4. Gluttony: Spook
I'm thinking here about the Spook who ate so much tin that he became a tin savant and had to wear bandages around his face because everything was too bright and loud all the time. That's not food gluttony, but I think it is a type of allomancy gluttony.
5. Envy: Marsh
Marsh was jealous of his brother. He was in love with Mare, who was his brother's wife (which is pretty much classic envy), and I think he envied his brother for getting to be more free, while he tried to hold it together and do things the right way.
6. Sloth: Elend
I'm thinking here about how Elend knew things were fucked up and wanted the government and society to change...but mostly he met up with his friends to discuss philosophy and drink and didn't DO anything for a very long time. Obviously, that changed once he was with Vin and got his powers, but I think original Elend could be seen as the embodiment of sloth for reasons of wanting change but not being able to move forward to enact it.
7. Pride: Breeze...but also Kelsier
Yes, Breeze likes to wear nice clothes and drink wine, but that's not entirely the pride I'm thinking about. I'm thinking more about how Breeze pretended to be above it all, that he was chill and unaffected and didn't really care...until a certain death made him break at the end. I think it's a form of pride to want to pretend to be so much above the base emotions that everyone else is feeling. And there's the nice clothes and the wine too.
But, I mean...there is one character who deliberately set himself up as a god and formed a whole-ass religion around himself, and that's Kelsier. I think that takes pride. A lot of pride.

Yes I would still love the Lee tang smut!!
Convenience Store Guy
Tumblr media
Summary: Confronting your coworker about the weird messages you've received doesn't go as planned.
Warnings: Language, Dark Themes, Stalking, Threats, Slight!DeadDove, Gaslighting, Convenience store era cus that was the best, Unstable Tang, Smut 18+ (Minors DNI) Rough Sex, Choking, Degradation Kink, Kinda Virgin!Tang, Dom!Tang
Stalking is bad. If someone is Stalking you, 100% don't do what y/n does, please.
Tumblr media
The more he spoke to you, the more he found it increasingly difficult to act like a good person.
“And guess what else?” The chill in your voice has nothing to do with the oppressive winter weather.
“You're pregnant.” your co-worker says.
You laugh and he laughs because you laugh.
It took a certain level of skill, Lee Tang likes to admit - being able to time exactly when you’d crane your neck back, letting your complaints reach the artificial fluorescents while he lowered his incriminating eyes to your cleavage.
“Remember that unknown number I told you about? The one that kept sending all the weird messages?” Tang hums, bopping his head as he slyly adjusts the front of his jeans, obscured by the counter.
“Shit, don't tell me you got another one,'' As the words leave his mouth, you're already handing your phone to him.
“This was sent to me last night,” You say, swinging your head away from the cash register and towards the wide windows displaying the night beyond. Anyone out there could be the person terrorising you. Anyone could be out to get you.
The text simply and succinctly read:
Wear the same colour tomorrow.
And while Lee Tang attempted to feign uncomfortable ignorance (as one might when your coworker tells you she might be getting stalked), he couldn't help but notice that you were, in fact wearing the same colour. Bright yellow.
For some inexplicable reason… you listened.
“What were you wearing?”
He already knew.
“Is that important?” You step aside, making way for the final customer to be rung up. All the while, Tang nurses an even bigger boner than before.
He did not… exactly intend for his moves to get so bold but texting you and having you listen to hus demands… the demands of a stranger… the whole thing is something akin to shooting pure heroin straight into a fresh vein.
Perhaps you weren't so innocent in the exchange.
“That's not important,” You say quietly before swinging your head towards him again, “I thought we should focus on the very real fact that I might have a stalker?”
“Maybe you should respond to the poor guy and see what he has to say- that'll be ₩5000,” While Tang entertains his customer, you immediately grab your phone before stuffing it into your back pocket. The convenience store buzzes with the exit of the final customer.
“Because entertaining a stalker is exactly what they tell us to do,” you accompany your sentence with a small eye roll.
“We don't know if it's a stalker.” Tang didn't like that term. He'd much rather prefer ‘walking you home from a distance,’
“All this guy has done so far is send a couple weird messages.”
Not a stalker. Not a stalker. Not a stalker.
“Why don't you just block him?”
You'd think by the self gratification in this voice that Tang solved world hunger. You let him dwell in his ignorance, partly because you were afraid to dissect how deep this iceberg went.
You were afraid to admit that you had already blocked the Private number… twice.
Initially you had hoped the messages were the effects of some virus, but they kept getting worse by the second.
[17:59] Just wanted to know if you've had a nice day? :)
[20:22] My cat’s sick. Idk what's wrong with her.
[20:23] I don't have a cat lol
[22:23] Where'd you get your cat?
[01:00] I love talking to you
[01:05] You're so fucking hot
[02:03] I love you
You were afraid to admit that you waited for his message at the end of every long monotonous day.
While you wrestle will all sorts of the moral implications that came with enabling you stalker, Tang couldn't take his eyes off your dress.
Had you really worn the dress for him?
Tang couldn't suspend disbelief even for a millisecond to imagine a world in which that was possible. When he sent that message, he obviously didn't expect a response.
He always believed he was nothing but a fragment of furniture in the workings of your life.
The convenience store guy you occasional spoke to.
Everything began to feel more and more brighter in your presence. The clinical musk that hung in the convenient store began to smell more and more like jasmine and time seemed to grow wings and take off whenever you swung by, chatting his ear off about your latest inconvenience.
One moment you were an irritation, the next Tang found himself seated at his desk, surrounded by a halo of used tissues while habitually scouting out porn where the campy lead actress resembled you more and more. He found it concerningly easy to get off when your eyes, your smile and those beautiful fucking tits were clouding his mind eye.
It was around this time when he started walking you home.
For a while, a vaguely heavy silence sits in between you two. Tang, with his head bowed, chooses to ruminate in an emotion very new and complex to him…guilt.
He is completely unaware that you're watching him, until you sigh loudly. “You know… you could at least try to sound convincing,” your words cause his neck to snap up and he watches with wide eyes as you round the counter, dragging your finger against the cold surface.
“I think I'd find it way more endearing if you don't try to lie to me, Tang.” You're walking closer and closer and he feels like his entire mental state has imploded on itself.
“Fuck, I'm going mental,” he screws his eyes shut and pats his cheeks rather hard. When he opens them, youre still there. His breathing picks up as your warmth penetrates the radius surrounding his flustered, agitated body and Tang immediately sends a worried gaze up to the CCTV nestled in the corner above.
“Some girls respond better to just being asked out.”
A billion lies try to flash across his mind's eye. Anything that might get him out of this situation unscathed. He comes up empty. Eventually, all Lee Tang is capable of, is a droop in his shoulders as he asks, “Are you going to call the cops?”
You don't respond immediately. Choosing, instead, slide your finger over his on the counter. Your warm hands encircling his had the power to knock the very life out of him.
“I should call the cops,” you state very gravely,” you look up at him with a grim sort of fascination.
Lee Tang has mentally checked out. His droopy, ringed eyes are stationed on your lips alone.
“You really should.” He says, before bending down ever so slowly as if to bridge the gap between both of your lips.
“You're sick, you know that? You had me fearing for my fucking life,” You're whispering. Why are you whispering?
“Don't say shit like that,” he whispers back.
“Why?”
Almost before he can talk himself out of it, Lee Tang grabs ahold of your hand, the one stationed on his own and he presses your palm directly onto his bulge. His eyes nearly roll back at the warmth of your small little hand alone and you watch, absolutely mesmerised as he begins to rub your palm up and down and up and down.
“Wait-”
“No.” He states, before motioning to bend down and kiss you, but before he can, you stop him with a hand against his chest.
There it was. That all too familiar pang of rejection. That nauseating, acidic feeling that ate away at his insides.
It made him want to hurt you.
How dare you try to stop him?
How dare you bring him this far, only to take it all away?
How dare you?
“Wait.”
“What?” Your eyes widen at the slightly louder quality in his tone. Sensing that you might have disrupted something that was well on its way to blossoming, you're quick to try and appease his nerves. You watch the conflict in his eyes dissipate and when you step closer towards him, your front pressed against his as you whisper in his ear, “Not here,” before spinning around, in the direction of the break room. It takes a moment for his brain to process your words, but when they do, he's ambling his way onwards, away from CCTV.
The very second he shuts the door to the break room, he's charging at you in a quick, frantic gait.
You're only allowed to feel nervous for a total of 5 seconds before he's pushing you against the wall, forcing his tongue down your throat as if it were his first kiss. His movements are jilted and frantic and so incredibly messy. If it were anyone else you might have been disgusted by his haste only proves to be contagious. You can feel it rubbing off on you with the way you mewl against his mouth, shoving your fingers into his mop of dark, unkempt hair.
“You're so perfect to me, F-Fuck,” he whispers in between kisses. He never strayed too far. Your lips stayed connected by a line of saliva. You were both absolutely wrecked.
“So, long…” he whispers, before shoving his hand over your boobs and squeezing, “I've thought about this for so fucking long. I've jerked off to you for so fucking long- I just-” He breathes out, before flattening his thumb against your pebbled, clothed nipples, “I've always fucking wanted you,”
“How long?”
“Since I saw you,” he whispers before dipping his head in between the crook of your neck. Instead of splaying lazy kisses there, you gasp at the sound of him completely inhaling you. “F-Fuck…” he whispers before pulling back, enough to fiddle with his belt, “I need to fuck you,” he simply and succinctly says before bringing his other hand up to your collar. “You're not gonna go anywhere, yeah?” As he asks this, he curls his fingers around your throat, alluding to the real and very daunting fact that he wouldn't allow you to go, even if you wanted to…
“I'm not going anywhere,” you attempt to coax him yet again but he still keeps a firm grip around your throat as he slides, quite sloppily into your slippery cunt. Now his eyes roll back and he exhales the biggest groan he's ever let out. “I already know I'm not gonna fucking last,” with his free hand he swipes his fingers across your clit, stimulating you to the highest level as you whine and mewl into the air.
“So long,” he continues muttering as he ruts into you, “ s-so fucking long… s-so tight. You're too tight-”
You're caught in the throes of the pleasure of being fucked so throughly and so roughly that you completely miss his question.
“Hey?” He says all too quietly while slapping continuously at the side of your cheek as if trying to bring you back down to earth, “You're such a slut you didn't even hear what I asked you?”
You manage to shake your head.
“I asked if you were a virgin.”
You stilled at the question, sensing that you were walking on dangerous ground. Which, you were realising is a norm around this guy. While you were thinking you had to choose your words correctly, Tang dips his head in between your neck and shoulder once more.
“Doesn't matter,” He ruts against you, feeling himself get closer and closer as his grip on your neck becomes tight.
“I'll kill him-” and for some inexplicable reason you cum at that very moment. Your moans reach the dusty ceiling and you fall apart against him so absolutely.
“You're gonna make m-me-” He's already cumming inside you, all while completely cutting off the air to your lungs. He watches you through his spell of pleasure as you claw at his hand and it only makes him cum harder.
“F-Fuck,” he whispers when he empties the last of his seed inside your weeping cunt. You gasp for all the air you were deprived of and he watches with morbid curiosity as life flows back into your eyes.
“That was way better than porn.” Now that he had you, he didn't plan on ever letting you go.

bite me, v. garza x fem! reader
Tumblr media
tags; predator/prey, fearplay, dacryphilia, degradation, drugging, thigh riding, stalking, dubcon and toxic dynamics. MDNI w/c; 4.4k ao3 link | pinterest board a/n; never arguining with a woman with big brown eyes, whatever u say gorgeous
The streets of Las Almas are still blood-stained the day you escape.
It’s been quieter since the Shadows combed through the city, killing anything that moved. The dogs no longer bark, kids don’t play in the streets, and the armed men who roamed every alley are few and far between. It’s the perfect opening. You spend the morning preparing.
You pack lightly, only the things you’re sure you’ll need. Clothing for layering, socks, underwear, and cash. It all fits nicely in a backpack you can easily carry. You leave both of your phones on the nightstand, the backs pried off and batteries neatly stacked atop each other.
The better part of an hour is spent prying at the metal collar around your neck. You pry at the latch until your fingers are bloody, picking at the screw that holds it together. As a last resort, you use the point of a utility knife. You sit just inches away from the mirror, neck twisted at an uncomfortable angle as you slowly unscrew the locking mechanism. You’re stock-still, barely breathing out of fear the blade will slip.
The second the collar unlatches, you rip it from around your neck and throw it aside. It slides across the floor, hitting the baseboard with a heavy thud. You take deep, ragged breaths as you study your reflection. The lack of weight around your neck is foreign. With it gone, your decision is final. There’s no turning back now.
Las Almas is teeming with Mexican soldiers. They pace the Greyhound station, X12s strapped to their thighs and rifles slung across their chests. Their watchful eyes follow you as you pay for your ticket in cash with shaky hands. The old woman in the booth hardly scrutinizes your forged papers, clicking away at her keyboard as she logs information. She slides your ticket through the opening in the plexiglass, wishing you a safe trip.
You practically fall onto a bench, sighing as you hug your bag close to your body. Rain pours down from the roof, streaming toward the storm drains. The air is thick and warm with moisture, heavy on your skin. You bounce your knee nervously as you wait for the bus to round the corner.
When it does arrive, you’re the first to board. You snag a window seat at the very back where you can watch every passenger enter. You hold your breath with each new rider, nervously anticipating Valeria or one of her men to be the next passenger. It isn’t until the bus is pulling away from Las Almas that you feel the weight lift from your chest, though just barely.
Your journey north becomes a slow crawl. The best ticket you could afford brought you just north of Denver. The rest of your cash is rationed out and stuffed beneath your clothing.
In the beginning, the kiss of cool air against your skin is refreshing. It’s a welcome reprieve from the sweltering Mexican heat. A reminder of how far you’ve gotten. But the novelty quickly wears off once the slight chill turns unforgiving. You attempt to adapt by picking up a free coat from a local church and bartering over warmer clothes from thrift stores, but they only do so much to protect you from the bitter cold. Homeless shelters aren’t an option, the lines are longer as the dead of winter draws nearer. By the time you reach Wyoming, you’re running low on money to spend. You resort to stealing food from gas stations and sleeping in alleyways. You spend your days in local libraries, reevaluating your route north and searching for updates on Valeria. Librarians typically quirk a brow at your peculiar behavior, but leave you alone until they close down for the night.
As the nights grow longer, they become even more difficult to get through. You curl yourself into a ball, your money stuffed into the band of your bra and a knife clutched tightly in your hand lest anyone gets any ideas. Hostels are few and far between and only reserved for nights you’d surely die if you slept outside.
In early December, you spend a decent chunk of your food budget on a cheap motel room. It’s a shady establishment just outside of a small city, the kind of place you pay for by the hour. Snow flutters down and gathers in the parking lot, the pure white flakes quickly soiled by the gravel beneath. Multicolored Christmas lights are wrapped around the wrought iron railings in honor of the upcoming holiday. A few women smoke in the shadows of the building, seemingly huddling together for warmth.
Inside the room, The wallpaper peels away to reveal yellow-stained drywall beneath and the heating unit rattles when you turn it on, blowing a small cloud of dust into the room. You refuse to peel away the comforter out of fear of what you’ll find, so you toss a blanket overtop instead. The lingering stench of cigarette smoke and artificial lemon is nearly caustic.
You turn the TV on, upping the volume until it’s loud enough to drown out the noise of the heater. The throw beneath you is scratchy and thin, but the bed itself is comfortable enough that you allow yourself to sink into it. With so many miles between you and Valeria, it’s easy to lull yourself into a sense of false security.
You shrug your jacket off to use as a makeshift pillow. It’s a far cry from Valeria’s luxurious bed back in Las Almas, but it’s the best you’ve had in weeks. The steady flow of warm air filling the room thaws the stiff joints in your limbs and loosens the long-held tension in your shoulders. It’s easy to fully settle into the makeshift pillow, eyes fluttering shut in bliss. It’s the best sleep you’ve gotten in weeks.
It’s pin-drop quiet when you wake up. The constant hum of the heating unit has ceased, though the room has long gone cool. The TV had been shut off, leaving the room completely dark.
You blink away the last bits of sleep from your eyes, willing your vision to focus. Something primal stirs in your gut, fight or flight instincts urging you to move. The darkness comes into focus slowly, the shape of the furniture comes into focus. So does a figure sitting at the foot of the bed.
Your blood freezes in your veins. You push yourself up from the bed, heart pounding in your ears. A firm hand wraps around your upper arm, throwing you back into the mattress. The springs squeak from the force. You kick and thrash in Valeria’s hold, desperate to land at least one hit. You refuse to go down without a fight, not after all you’ve been through. You manage to land a single scratch across her cheek. Blood bubbles up from her skin, smearing onto your fingers and her face when you push her away.
One of her hands pins both your wrists to your sternum as she bears down on you. Her knees press into the mattress on either side of you, caging you in place. You take in a gasping breath, lungs struggling to expand under her weight. For the first time, you get a good look at Valeria and what you see terrifies you. There’s a feral glint to her eyes and not a bit of playfulness in her smile. Your heart pounds against your ribcage like a rabbit.
“You scream and I’ll gut anyone who comes in that door,” Valeria hisses, hand tightening around your wrists as she wraps a zip tie around them. Tears spill from your waterline as composure crumbles. The edge of the tie presses into your skin uncomfortably, but Valeria doesn’t soften at your whining.
“It was a fun chase, sweetheart, but it’s over,” She fishes a small bag from her pants pocket, shaking a small white pill into her palm. Valeria holds it to your lips with one hand, the other pinching your nose shut. You go as long as you can without air, stubbornly clenching your jaw shut until your lungs burn.
Valeria watches with interest, grinning as the seconds tick by. You barely make it a minute before you’re gasping for air. Valeria doesn’t waste a moment before she’s pushing the pill past your lips and pressing her palm over your mouth before you can spit it out. Her fingers still pinch your nose shut, her grip unyielding against the restrained fists that pound against her chest.
“Swallow, baby,” She goads as black creeps into the edges of your vision. By now, the pill is reduced to bitter white chunks on your tongue, but you make a show of swallowing to satisfy her. The reaction is almost instantaneous, her fingers prodding past your lips as you desperately gulp down oxygen. Her fingers taste like sanitizer and lotion as she inspects your gum line and beneath your tongue. You cringe away from her touch but with the bed beneath you, there’s nowhere to go.
When she’s confident you swallowed, she gives you a quick pat on the cheek. The corner of her lips twitch up in only a ghost of a grin before she’s hauling you to your feet and bending you over her lap. You huff, balance thrown off kilter by the sudden movement and lack of oxygen. Valeria’s knee digs uncomfortably into your stomach and ribs. A hand wraps around your upper arm, holding you firmly on her lap.
“You thought I wouldn’t hunt you down?”  She asks, free hand trailing down the curve of your spine. Her chipped and jagged nails drag across your skin, leaving raised lines in their wake. Fingers curl around the waistband on your sweatpants, gripping tight. You kick your legs, gritting out empty threats as she pulls them down. She tugs until the cleft of your ass is exposed to the stale air.
“I’m sorry,” You sob into the comforter, tears wetting the scratchy blanket. You sound like a broken record, the apologies spilling from your mouth only broken up by promises to never do it again.
“I don’t believe you,” Valeria coos, a condescending smile playing at her lips. She splays her hand against your ass cheek, lightly pressing into the soft flesh until it dimples beneath her fingertips. Her grip on your arm has tightened enough to be bruising.
The heat between Valeria’s thighs only heightens at the sight of you draped over her lap. Idly, she considers the merits of a more sadistic punishment. Purpled bite marks across your shoulders would certainly remind you who you belong to. Or maybe nice ‘V’ carved into the soft fat of your ass. Both would crush your little attitude beneath her boot. Ultimately, she decides to stow those thoughts away for now, saving them for when you’re back home with her. It’d be easy to go overboard now, with the adrenaline and anger rushing through her bloodstream. For now, she just wants to make you cry.
The first hit comes when you least expect it. The impact sends a ripple through the soft flesh of your ass. Valeria groans lowly at the sight. Your hips jump at the sensation, skin going hot beneath Valeria’s palm. The strike has you screeching, thrashing beneath her in a futile attempt at an escape. You clench and unclench your restrained fists.
“Count.” Her brown irises are swallowed by her dilated pupils, trained in the spot where her hand met your cheek. The heat of your skin bleeds into Valeria’s cold palms, goosebumps popping up across your exposed skin.
“What the fuck?” You squeal, humiliation and fear petering into indignation. It’s not a surprise to Valeria, she’d always known there was a bit of you that needed training. You were impatient, even selfish at times. A wily little thing she enjoyed wrestling into submission. The brattiness was endearing in her own bed, but after the past few weeks, it only stokes her anger.
“Count,” She repeats, a little louder this time. “Count and maybe I won’t fucking chip you.” The twist of anger in your expression has her raising her hand again, coming down in a perfect arc to hit the same spot again. You shriek into the bedding, fingernails sinking into your clammy palms. Valeria’s arm tightens around you, dragging you even further into her lap. “Not gonna do it?” She brings her hand down three more times, alternating which side she hits to keep you on edge. “You think I’m lying? Tracked you down like a fucking dog, tell me why I shouldn’t treat you like one?”
“Won’t do it again, Val,” You sob. “Please, I’m sorry!” Hot tears stream down your flushed face, mixing with the drool smeared across your chin and mouth. Your voice cracks with the force of your crying. Valeria grows impossibly wetter, slick dampening the gusset of her panties.
“Then start counting.” Your fingers claw at the blanket as she strikes you again. There’s no screech or resistance when her palm hits you, just sniffling. The seconds drag by like hours as Valeria waits with bated breath, hungrily watching the tears spill from your eyes.
“ One .” Valeria releases your chin and you press your cheek to the mattress. She groans at your thin voice, hoarse from all your yelling. Her palm rubs soothing circles over the spot she’d just hit, contrasting the rough treatment just seconds prior. A shudder runs up your body at the sensation, eyes screwed shut.
“Good girl,” She murmurs, lips curling into a predatory grin. The next hit has you tensing up beneath her, stammering out a low two . There’s still some resentment buried beneath your submission. It shows in the impudent curl of your lips, the angry furrow of your brow. The quiet whimper that slips your mouth before three is delicious. It appeases Valeria’s growing appetite.
By ten , you’ve run out of tears. The quiet groans spilling from your throat have a knot winding in Valeria’s stomach. Your ass is marred with her handprints, raised marks from the trauma. Come time, they’ll darken into bruises, the sting of red-hot flesh fading to an overwhelming ache. And every time you see them, you’ll be reminded of your mistakes. Valeria loosens her grip on you, knowing you won’t even try to run.
By fifteen , your eyes have glossed over and your thrashing has ceased. The numbers are whispered through gritted teeth between quiet grunts, attitude fully snuffed out by Valeria’s hand. A little pain and you’re her good girl again, all sweet and pliant beneath her. Your inner thighs are dewy with the slick that leaks from you, dribbling down your cunt to your swollen clit.
There’s no resistance as she hauls you to your feet, hands placed beneath your armpits like you’re a doll. You brace your hands on her shoulder, legs too shaky to keep you upright. Valeria tugs your panties and sweatpants up, brushing the bruised curve of your ass too firmly to be accidental. You shift a little, lurching forward to escape the pain.
Valeria grabs you by the hips, dragging you into her lap. You let out a little yelp upon resting your ass against her thighs, the sudden weight against the raw skin overwhelming. For a moment, you hover, but Valeria presses you down firmly, ignoring the way you wriggle away. Once the pain subsides, you practically meld into her, head resting in the crook of her neck as you sniffle. Valeria brushes the hair from your face, damp with tears and cold sweat. Your limbs are loose, heavy with warmth that emanates from the pit of your stomach.
“Why’d you run?” She murmurs, dragging her splayed palms up and down your thighs. When you don’t reply, she tugs your head from the crook of her neck, hand cradling the base of your skull. Valeria studies you with her dark eyes, searching for a flicker of resistance in your lachrymose gaze. She finds nothing. “Hm? What was it?”
“I was scared,” The words slip out before you can consider them. It’s an admission only made more pathetic by your thin voice. Something in Valeria’s gaze shifts as her lips press into a line. Her hand tightens on the back of your neck. The weeks of false composure fracture when faced with her dilated pupils, only a thin rind of warm brown surrounding them. The fear hits you like a cold wave, washing over your body as the words are spilling from your chest.
“I-I didn’t know if it was safe for me to stay,” You stammer out, clenching your hands into fists in an attempt to ward off the tremors overtaking you. “I was worried that maybe they’d come for me next and you wouldn’t be there, Valeria, and I-” The corners of her lips tug up into a smug, satisfied grin and your words are cut short with a stifled sob.
It’s not a lie, but not quite the truth either. Valeria can see it in the split second of hesitation before you speak. There’s fear there, but not fear of her enemies. No, she saw that terror in your wide-eyed gaze when you realized she had been the one to find you.
“Oh, mi vida ,” Valeria coos, a hand coming up to cradle your cheek. Her thumb brushes away the few tears rolling down your face. Her other hand brushes up and down your side, dipping beneath the fabric of your shirt. “You thought you’d be safer running?” You sniffle as she squeezes at the fat of your hip. “This,” She gestures to the room around you with a sardonic chuckle. “This is worse than if you stayed put. I can’t protect you when I don’t know where you are.”
“I’m sorry.” You say for the millionth time. It’s the only response your brain can formulate. She’s right, running only left you more vulnerable to people who would use you to reach Valeria. But she doesn’t take your fear of her into consideration, even with the marks spread across your ass cheeks.
“I believe you,” She says, “But it’ll take more than an apology to make me trust you. You understand, right?”
You nod, eyes cast downward in shame.
“Good girl,” She tugs at your lower lip with her thumb. “Missed you s’much, you know?” She purrs, pressing two fingers past your lips. Your jaw widens to accommodate the push of her finger against your tongue. “Was so excited to see my girl. Bet you can imagine how I took the news, hm?” Drool gathers behind your teeth, dripping down your chin as Valeria ‘accidentally’ bumps your gag reflex. You lurch, but her fingers remain firmly hooked in her mouth. You don’t have the energy to resist her, any coherent thought slipping from your grasp before you can make sense of it.
“So pretty like this,” She muses. Valeria adjusts you like a doll, one hand grabbing and moving your limbs until you're straddling her thigh. “You know who owns this cunt, don’t you?” Her other hand grips your hip, rolling it against her muscled thigh. Valeria laughs at your garbled moan as pleasure sparks in your core. “Just my stupid little pet that doesn’t know what’s good for her.”
“M’not,” You slur, fingers curling into the collar of her shirt. She continues the slow pace, occasionally bouncing her knee to relish in your yelps. The heat in your stomach only grows. Electricity shoots up your spine when Valeria perfects the angle, pressing the seam of your pants against your clit just right. You moan around her fingers, lips and chin shiny with spit. In the weeks you spent running, pleasure had been an afterthought. You never had the time or privacy to worry about getting yourself off. The neglect left you swollen, sensitive, and all too receptive to Valeria’s touch.
“Really?” She coos, slowly pulling her fingers from your mouth. They come to rest on your other hip, fingers dampening the fabric beneath them. “Grinding your cunt on me like a dumb mutt, aren’t you?” With a firmer grip on you, she presses your cunt even harder on her thigh, rocking you back and forth. You mindlessly follow her movements, chasing your high.
Valeria studies the pinch of your brow and pitch of moans, watching every minute expression that crosses your face. Your thighs tighten around her own, desperately humping at her. Quiet pants escape your swollen lips, your head hangs low, and your eyes shut. The languid pace is entirely your own, she’s barely moving you along.
When your moans take a higher pitch, fingers tugging at her shirt, she knows you're close. Valeria’s hand comes to pull at your hair, tugging your head back and exposing the bare column of your throat. Her jaw clenches upon noticing your collar’s absence. She meets your wide eyes, your scleras flushed red and pupils dilated. Your pace falters, but Valeria prompts you to keep going with a bounce of her leg.
“Please,” You whimper. “Wanna come.” The desperation in your voice is palpable. It’s pathetic enough to have Valeria pitying you. It’s hard for you to keep your grip on her shirt, your muscles seem to have a mind of their own. Your restrained hands fall to your lap, numb and warm as you continue to grind.
“Yeah?” She taunts. “You wanna cum on my thigh?” Her fingers dance up your shirt, calluses brushing over your fluttering abdomen as she makes her way to your breasts. You part your lips when her fingers toy with your hardened nipples, plucking and twisting the sensitive buds.
“Mhmm,” You nod, eyes fluttering shut. Your tongue is too heavy to form a proper response. By now, your head has gone cottony and light, filled with nothing but Val. It’s hard to even remember how you got into this situation or even recognize the dull ache of your bruised ass on every grind. Her body heat is suffocating, the scent of her perfume leaving you drooling. Valeria can see the distant look in your eyes, so she lets your lack of verbal response slide. She dips her head to your shoulder, pressing wet kisses along the curve of your neck.
“Please,” You manage to wail, repeating the word until your voice gives out on you. Valeria’s teeth glint in the moonlight as you come, nipping at the thin skin above your pulse point. Your wetness soaks the crotch of your panties, leaving them wet and sticky along the curve of your folds. The heat bleeds through your pants, warming Valeria’s thigh.
When your hips stop twitching and your breath slows, you slump into Valeria. The hand beneath your shirt traverses up and down your spine as you hiccup and cry. Shame curdles in your stomach, tears burning at the corners of your eyes. Valeria presses soft kisses to your cheek, slowly making her way to your chapped lips.
The kiss is sloppy and almost entirely one-sided. You struggle to keep up with her, clumsily tilting your head the wrong way and hardly moving your tongue. Her teeth knock against yours. When you cringe away at the sensation, she follows you, biting down on your lower lip hard enough to break skin. Hands wrap around your upper arms hard enough to bruise, pulling you closer to her. She licks along the sharp edges of your teeth, presses her tongue against yours. You squirm and whine through it all, only settling when she pulls away, a string of blood-tinged saliva connecting you.
Satisfaction blooms in Valeria’s chest as she meets your teary eyes. You weeks of planning, the effort spent running, all of it was rendered pointless in a matter of minutes. The regret has your chest tightening, wishing you’d fought harder, bared your teeth. It’s too late, you realize as she heaves you to your feet. There’s no chance at escape with the way the room sways, legs weak beneath you. Valeria anchors you to her side just as you're about to fall, pulling you toward the door. Your mind desperately screams to push her away, but you can’t feel your arms anymore. You stumble and trip over the door frame, only held upright by Valeria’s arm around your waist.
You can’t help but feel like a prisoner approaching the gallows when you see the idling car. Gravel crunches beneath your feet as she drags you forward, ignoring your attempts to dig your heels in. Each step is one step closer back to Las Almas, back to her mansion, to the gilded cage she’ll lock you in. Fear curdles in your stomach, but there’s nothing you can do with Valeria practically pinning you to her side. She pushes you into the car, quickly sliding in next to you and slamming the door shut. The click of the locks cements your fate. Valeria wraps an arm around your shoulders and pulls you close when you try to shuffle away. She barks out orders to the driver. The car shifts gears, quickly leaving the motel and meeting the open road. Valeria murmurs something about going home as your body loosens, her knuckles brushing over your arm. It’s only a matter of minutes before you’re sprawled across the seat, head resting in her lap. The promise of deep, dreamless sleep is irresistable.
Valeria idly brushes the hair from your face, humming a quiet tune just loud enough for you to hear. For a while, she watches you fight to stay awake, eyes fluttering shut adorably each time you do. She smiles when you finally slip away, that pinched, fearful expression finally leaving your pretty face. It’s the culmination of weeks of work, countless outbursts, and more than a few deaths. You gave a good chase, she’ll admit, but she won.
Valeria’s sure once the rohypnol’s effects wane, you’ll be back to your feral self. It won’t be easy to earn your submission, but to her, that’s half the fun. Valeria can already hear the foul threats you’ll grunt out from behind your gag, drool dripping down your chin as you pull against your leash. But that’s trouble for another day, another training session. It’ll take more than one session to fully domesticate you, but Valeria is eager for the work ahead. She’s always enjoyed playing with her food.

break in (part two of attention)
i | ii | iii | iv | v
jingling keys fill the hallway, shakily putting the key into your apartment. you cant help but berate yourself for the mess you've caused earlier: what the fuck am i doing. after a few seconds, you let out a breath of relief as you finally step inside your home.
"oh my god," you shrug your coat off, hanging it. "thats the last time im ever doing that."
you make your way into your living room, noticing how everything looks the same but yet different-- you take a look around: the lights are off, the rug is untouched, and my couch is..
shit.
"surprised?" her familiar rough voice sends chills up your spine, "nice place you got here, topsider."
you carefully but slowly grab your slightly tainted with blood dagger, "leave."
a scowl forms on your tired face, eyebrows furrowing, and your stance tensing up. leisurely, she rises to her feet; you just barely see the smoke she puffs out. her height is a bit intimidating, you admit. her mechanical arm is glowing in the dim room, and her muscular back. god, she looks so solid.
her muscular back?
your train of thought gets cut off when she turns to finally look at you, her stupid mouth turning into a smirk. right then and there, you think to yourself that you already hate her.
she stubs out her cigarette on your table, "what were you-"
"are you serious?" your face morphs into anger now, "thats a very expensive table."
sevika's shoulder slumps at what you said, but you paid no mind to her. only pushing her aside to get the cigarette and clean the ash, patting the remnants of the cig rather furiously. she tries again, only to get cut off again by you suddenly turning your heated gaze at her.
"look, i dont know what you want from me," you step towards her, dagger in hand. "but have some respect."
before you can lecture her again, she swings her fist at you, which you swiftly dodge. she tried to grab you using her mechanical arm. however, you batted it away with your right hand-- throwing a slash of your dagger right back at her, successfully making a small wound in the corner of her lip. you attempt to combo with a hook to her rib, but you aren't so lucky this time because she evades, grabbing you and pulling you close: she smells like wood and cigarette.
she puts her face close to yours, "you sure youre just an engineer, topsider?" you grit your teeth, "you sure know how to fight."
"let me go," using the element of surprise; you headbutt her, "what do you want from me?"
you dont miss how she stumbles back, you also dont miss how she smirks at your actions.
you roll your eyes, "you into that shit?"
"only if youre into it," sevika throws back. "look, im not here to fight, topsider."
sevika almost laughs at how your jaw drops, "girl, fuck do you mean im not here to fight? you literally threw a punch first."
she smirks once more, pissing you even more off. sevika gives you a shrug before plopping down on your newly washed cushions, her dirty boots finally stepping on your rug.
"you know what, you may be sevika, silco's righthand woman," you march at her, "but dont be putting your dirty clothes on my shit."
sevika ignores you, "what, you scared im gonna dirty your shit?"
"yes, thats exactly it, sevika." you deadpan.
you take a sit in front of her, using the other couch-- still wary. you take this time to stare at her again. assessing what she's wearing; to see if she has any more weapons, of course. your eyes roam from her thick thighs up to her waist, and finally reaching her face. christ, those cheekbones and jaw-- the things you would do. but a spark from her mechanical arm catches your arm. you tilt your head, analyzing on why thats happening.
"done staring?" you roll your eyes for what feels like a thousand times now, "i need you to fix my arm. did my research on you, and i know youre capable of fixing my damn arm."
you give sevika an are-you-fucking-kidding-me look, "why would you break into my home for that? you couldve gone to my shop."
she only replies with a lazy shrug, annoying you again. the world really is testing your patience. you thought you'd be scared of the woman in front of you; never did you think that you'd be annoyed instead.
she only replies with a lazy shrug, annoying you again. the world really is testing your patience. you thought you'd be scared of the woman in front of you; never did you think that you'd be annoyed instead. you still dont trust her, still mad that she broke into your home, started a fight, and is making herself at home.
"if i fix it, will you leave?" she nods, not saying anything. "fine. stay here, dont even move an inch."
you hurriedly get your toolbox, desperate to get rid of her. you come back to her still on your couch; she's basically taking up all the damn space in it. she looks at you as you pull up a chair beside her whirring arm. you take another look at it, and from the looks of it, the damage is most likely inside, seeing how it is perfectly fine: a few dents here and there, but overall fine.
with hesitation, you ask the zaunite, "may i?"
"go for it, topsider." she offers you her arm.
you scoff at her, "please stop calling me that."
you begin to unscrew the tiny screws using your electric screwdriver, putting the screws aside, you pull the cover. the wirings are a mess. you asses it for a few seconds before going to work again; you grumble a few curses out because of the messy wiring, saying how can anyone be so careless.
"y'know, instead of punching me," you plug the loose wire back into its place, "punch the bitch who made this mess."
a snort escapes from her, not expecting your vulgarity. not one word is said after that, and you let it stay that way; breathing and the noises of your tools are only heard in your quiet apartment, finally relaxing while rebuilding her arm. minutes pass and youre screwing the last screw into her arm before patting it.
you tell her, "all done, im not expecting any payment since its just a loose wire."
"not bad, topsider." sevika takes a look at her brand new-ish arm.
you stand up and wordlessly point to your door, wanting her to leave as soon as possible because, at this point, you just want to sleep. you just want to feel your soft pillows and soft mattress.
"oh," she walks to your window instead, "i didnt enter there."
    i hate you so much.

“You know, when you told me you had plans for Christmas Eve, this was not what I was expecting,” Y/N stammered standing at the edge of the natural hot springs pool that Joel had brought her to. After having breakfast together, Joel instructed her to dress warm and requested her to wear a bathing suit underneath her clothing. Those were two very different requests that didn’t make a whole lot of sense to her. It was strange when considering them, but she didn’t fight him on it. Once she was done getting ready, they went back to Joel’s place, got his snowmobile and drove a little out of town to an area where they parked. What was surprising about Joel’s plans was that in ordered to get where he wanted, they couldn’t drive there. No, they had to snowmobile along a path to get there.
At first Joel didn’t tell her what they were doing. He wanted it to be a surprise, but she didn’t complain. As far as she was concerned, she liked being on the snowmobile with Joel. Getting to wrap her arms around him and enjoy the beauty of the nature that surrounded them sounded like a good idea to her. The first time was nice and today was just as beautiful as then. Unlike last time, things were a little quieter. It was just the two of them. No one else was really on the path to join them, so it was very relaxing. It calmed her getting to do something like that with Joel.
It was when they ended up here that surprised her. A natural hot springs in the middle of nowhere? It wasn’t every day she ended up at a place like this that was very remote and isolated to go swimming outside in the middle of winter. What was even more astonishing was that no one was actually there. It was just the two of them.
There was a chill that surrounded her where she was standing. Hell, she was in her bathing suit after all. Standing on the edge with her toes digging into the snow that surrounded the outside of the pool made this feel so surreal. If you were outside like this in the winter where she was from, people would have called you crazy. Right now, she was somewhere much colder and this was apparently a normal thing for people, “When we got on that snowmobile I would have never pictured this.”
“Well, I remembered you talking about the hot springs when you first got here,” Joel reminded her, stepping in beside her as he pulled his t-shirt from his body and tossed it aside on one of the lounge chairs that was beside the pool. “So, I thought why not spend our morning doing exactly that and getting some time to relax. Together.”
“This is just so hard to wrap my mind around,” she claimed, looking down at her bare feet in the snow. Wiggling her toes moved some of the snow. A rumble of an amused sound escaped Joel from beside her with him wrapping his arms around her loosely from behind. “Doing this seems insane.”
“Well, no one ever said I wasn’t,” he joked, releasing her with a smirk. Taking a running start, he jumped into the pool causing the water to splash outwards toward her. Gasping out, she jumped back and away from the pool, surprised that the water actually felt warm. Jumping up from under the water, Joel threw his head back and then slicked his fingers through his wet hair giving her a big, cheesy smile. “Come on. Get in. You’ll be warmer in here than you will be out there.”
Stepping as close as she could to the edge, she took one step forward and dropped down into the water. At first, she expected her body to tense up, but it really was surprisingly warm. It was something her mind couldn’t comprehend. All around them was the snowy scenery, yet here they were in the water comfortable, “It feels nice, right?”
“Yeah,” she breathed, lowering her body further down into the water. Swimming out toward the center of the pool allowed her to truly experience the whole thing. This was just a little area in the middle of nowhere. They were surrounded by snow covered trees and the mountains that circled them in. It was their own natural paradise that they didn’t have to share with anyone in the moment. It was a stunning view, one that didn’t always feel real, but it was. Out in nature like this, she felt like she was at the center of a painting and she loved it. New York was beautiful for her, but this wasn’t something she could experience in the city. Pools were hard enough to find during the summer, so this blew her away.
“Whatcha think?” Joel wondered, swimming out closer to her noticing that she was taking everything in, seemingly not wanting to miss a thing. There was a warmth growing inside of him that she was so astounded by everything. For him? Jackson was just a normal everyday thing. But for her? This was all so new and he could tell that she was amazed by it.
“This is incredible,” she blurt out, her eyes still gazing upon the nature that surrounded them. If she would have known something like this was here, she would have likely tried to persuade someone to bring her here sooner. “When I looked at the pamphlet for the hot springs, this wasn’t what it looked like. This is much nicer.”
“You probably looked at the brochure that was modeled to appeal to tourists,” he explained to her, swimming around and resting back in the water giving his body a moment to float at the top. “This is one they advertise, but a lot of people get nervous that you can’t just drive here. They prefer the one that is more like a water park.”
“This is so much better,” she noted, gazing back at him to watch him floating around behind her. His eyes were closed, his Adam’s apple bouncing in his throat while he calmly just lounged in the water. “I can’t believe no one else is here.”
“About that,” he began, lowering back down into the water and swimming out toward her to move in behind her. “It’s usually closed on Christmas Eve, but I had someone who owed me a few favors.”
“I keep hearing that,” she commented with a tiny laugh, closing her eyes when she felt him leaning in to deposit a small kiss in over her bare shoulder. The contrast of the cool air to his warm mouth sent chills down her spine and she sucked in a sharp breath of air. “A lot of people seem to owe you.”
“Well, that’s what happens when you have multiple talents and you are able to help people out around town,” he slurred, continuing to pepper kisses up over her shoulder toward her neck. Nipping faintly had her letting out a loud, shuddering breath and it had him snickering against her flesh. “I just thought you’d like to be somewhere we could have some alone time and relax. Where my brother won’t come barging in to lecture us.”
“I’m not complaining,” she defended herself, leaning her head back against Joel’s shoulder and closing her eyes. “I just feel bad that you are wasting so many of your favors on me. You could probably use them for something better.”
“Nonsense. Nothing is better than you,” he countered almost immediately, without even taking the time to consider it. Hearing that had her face flushing over with warmth and it was so very nice to hear in the moment. “Being able to give you a moment that makes you happy? What could possibly be better than that?”
Turning in his arms, she reached out to palm in over the side of his face with her eyes locked on his. Moving forward, she stole a desperate kiss from his lips. Each sweep of her lips over his had their kiss growing in strength and when Joel went to pull away, her fingers curled around the back of his neck to bring him back. Releasing a tiny laugh against her lips, he continued the kiss allowing her to have him close. There were so many things she wanted to say in that moment, but she didn’t know if she should, so she just kissed him passionately.
“You take my breath away, y’know that?” his southern drawl hummed with him pressing his forehead to hers so they could cherish one another after they stopped kissing.
“I don’t know if I can explain what you do to me,” she whispered, reaching for his hand to place it in over the center of her chest. Looking between them, he gave a smirk before his chocolate-colored eyes lifted to connect with hers again. “You make my heart feel so full. Everything you say makes me feel so happy. You make me feel important and no one has really done that in my life. Not for a very long time.”
“You should know you are important,” he whispered, nuzzling his nose in against hers and it made her heart skip a beat. “You shouldn’t give me all this credit for calling in favors Y/N. They would have just sat there stagnant if I didn’t have you in my life. I reckon I was a very boring, dull person before you came into my life.”
“You deserve nothing but credit,” she hushed him, stealing another quick kiss from his lips that pulled out a tiny smile from him. “I hope you like doing things with me. I’d hate for this to be a bad thing.”
“I like being with you, so nothing involving you can be a bad thing,” he assured her with a wink, leaning into her touch with her brushing her fingers through his wet hair. “Although, this whole relationship is making people realize I’m not the shut in that I pretend to be. They aren’t as scared of me as they used to be. They think I’m approachable and view me more human.”
“That’s kind of cute,” she snickered provoking his head to tip side from side with an amused rumble escaping him. “I’m sure they are still very scared of you. They just see there is a softer side of you. Plus, they probably still think you’re crazy. You’re in a serious relationship with someone you met a week ago. They will continue to judge you.”
“I do suppose you’re right about that,” he sighed loudly, leaning in to meet her in another kiss. It was a small town and he knew Jackson was exactly like what she was saying. “But it’s a good kind of crazy. And I guess it’s also a good thing I don’t give a shit what these people think of me.”
“I’m glad you don’t,” she whispered, stroking her fingers through his wet hair getting a small growl to escape his lips. “You’re the only person I care about pleasing. Everyone else can fuck off.”
“Same sentiment,” he snickered, the bridge of his nose wrinkling further. “What did you think I was gonna do today? You said you were surprised these were the plans I made.”
“I don’t know,” she thought aloud, clearing her throat when she thought about the town. “My first thought is ice skating. Or going to a Christmas market or something…”
“You can do that in New York City,” he reminded her with a grunt, biting down on his bottom lip. Sure, that was the typical Christmas plans people would have out here, but he wanted to make this special for her. Do something that she wouldn’t normally be able to do. “I guess if you wanted to be predictable, we could go make a very beautiful snowman out in the woods. It would probably be a lot cleaner that it would be in New York City. I just wanted to do something for you that was new.”
“I’d say you delivered,” she complimented him, letting out an amused sound when he grabbed a hold of her hand. Moving back toward the edge of the pool, he pulled her in over him eliciting an amused laugh from her. Tracing her fingertips over the side of his face, she let them linger over the scar that was near his temple. It had his eyes fluttering to a close with a broken breath escaping his lips. “You know, you’re the first person that’s ever had me reconsidering my life decisions.”
“Oh?” he breathed out, his eyes lazily opening as she spoke. Leaning into her touch as she palmed in over the side of his face had her smiling.
“You make me want more,” she informed him, sweeping her thumb in over his chiseled jawline. “I knew how lonely I was back in New York, but being here with you? It’s made me realize that I’m not happy with how my life was before I got here. I mean, I think I knew that, but being here with you? Getting to do all of these things and see the world differently, it makes me yearn for more of that. I want more for myself.”
“Well, you’re the first person that makes me feel like I actually want to be here,” he claimed, lifting his hand enough to caress in over the back of her hand. Curling his fingers around her hand, he got her to lower it before he brought it up to press a tender kiss over the back of it. “I’ve told you what you’ve done for me, but…”
Pausing, Joel cleared his throat and then pointed toward the scar that was on his temple, “I did that to myself.”
Instead of assuming, she stayed silent with Joel working up the courage to tell her what he wanted to, “I didn’t want to be here anymore. I was so depressed and miserable that I just didn’t think that life was worth living anymore. I couldn’t see the point. Simple as that. I reckon that makes me greedy, but I didn’t see any other way out. But? At the last minute? I turned my head. I don’t know why, but…”
Pausing, he felt her leaning in to press her forehead against his and he let out a tremoring breath. Biting back on the emotions that were fighting so hard to escape him, Joel’s hand caressed in over the side of her neck with his thumb sweeping at her jawline, “You make me want to be here. You make me happy that I didn’t…”
“I’m happy you’re still here,” she pressed a loving kiss against his forehead having him tremoring before her. Stroking her fingers at the back of his neck, she took time to consider things before her lips parted. “You are worth so much more than you think you are.”
“I’m not,” he refused, shaking his head and biting down on his bottom lip with the way she cuddled her face in against his. Closing his eyes, he felt comforted with the way that she was touching him. Each kiss she placed over the side of his face let him know that she cherished him. That he meant something to her. “You deserve so much better than me.”
“Nothing is better than you,” she corrected him, a lump developing in her throat. It was true. In her eyes, Joel was perfect. Leaning back enough, she could see that he was emotional. Swallowing down hard, she tried to gather her sense of bravery. “I’ve been thinking a lot about things.”
“Oh, that’s never a good opening statement,” he frowned, panic flooding into his features and she immediately hushed him.
“No,” she shook her head, placing her fingertips over his lips to stop him. Not wanting his fears to eat away at him, she knew that she just had to come forward and say what she was thinking. “I think I want to move out here to Jackson.”
“You…you do?” he stammered, his head tipping back to stare out at her with a surprised expression. It looked as if he didn’t believe her in that moment. “But I thought New York City meant everything to you. What about the brownstone?”
“I do love New York City, but? I can’t imagine being separated from you. Not after everything,” she admitted to him, hooking her fingers with Joel’s. He was shaking and she squeezed her fingers tightly around his. “I love my parents and I know that’s the last part of them that I have, but I don’t think they would want me to sit there hanging onto a memory of something that truthfully does nothing to make me happy. It just confirms for me how alone I am. How alone I’ve always been. With you? I don’t hurt anymore.”
A broken sound escaped him. It was obvious that he was doing everything in his power not to have a complete breakdown over the emotional moment that they were having with one another, “I’ve been broken for so long and the world continued to shatter my soul. But you heal the broken pieces of me. The parts I never thought would heal. I hate to steal your lines, but with you? Here? It feels like home. Like somewhere I’m meant to be. And wherever you are? That is where I long to be.”
“Yeah?” he felt a lump growing in his throat, both emotional and excited about her decision. Giving him a nod had him pulling her in to capture her lips in a kiss that took her breath away. It was passionate and showed just how happy it made him that she was even considering that. When they broke away, he cuddled his cheek in against hers and let out a shuddering breath. “I…”
Joel pulled back and shook his head, “I don’t want to scare you away, but I have to say this. It’s been eating away at me, but I’ve never felt it more than I do now. And life has proven one thing to me. It’s short. You never know what’s gonna happen. So you need to hear this.”
There was a long pause. Joel had a hard time looking at her, but by the time he finally brought himself to say what he wanted, he made sure that his eyes were locked on hers, “I love you.”
Hearing those words had her lips parting, her breathing growing louder. Leaning forward, Joel pressed his forehead to hers, “I’m sorry this wasn’t a more romantic moment where I was making love to you, but I can’t hold it in. I’ve held it in because I thought it was too much, but I love you. And keeping it locked away isn’t going to change it.”
“I’m glad you didn’t keep it locked away,” she wrapped her arms snugly around Joel’s shoulders getting him to gasp at how firmly she did it. Curling his fingers around the back of her neck, he smirked and leaned in to bury his nose at the side of her neck. “I love you too, Joel Miller.”
“You do?” he was surprised to hear the same words repeated, with her turning her head slightly to stare out at him.
“So fucking much,” she blurt out drawing forth the most charming, raspiest laugh from him. “And you’re crazy if you don’t think this is romantic enough.”
“It’s not like the movies and I know how much you yearn for that kind of thing,” he frowned, his heart hammering in his chest at her confession of love.
“This is better than the movies Joel,” she declared, nodding her head with her trying to convince him that this was perfect just the way it was. “I love you and I can’t think of a better place to be than right here, right now.”
“You have to know, you’re a very special person,” he informed her, palming in over the side of her face. Admiring her in that moment, he released a long exhale and shrugged his shoulders. “I have a very hard time saying that word. I didn’t know if I could say it anymore. Because the word scares me. Not because I don’t want to love, but because I haven’t allowed myself to love. Everyone I love gets hurt and…”
“I told you, I’m not breakable Joel. I’ve gone through hell and back, but I’m still here,” she tried to promise him, hushing his fears about her being in his life.
“And you’re sure about this whole moving to Jackson thing?” he confirmed with her, his body still tremoring over this whole thing. Truthfully? He was scared to tell her that he loved her and he couldn’t believe he actually had the courage to do it. Nodding her head once told him that she did in fact mean it. “I reckon my place is big enough for you to move in if you’d like? Unless of course you’d like to find somewhere where you’d have your own space?”
“Are you sure you’d be okay with me moving in?” she wondered, knowing that they were moving incredibly fast with things. The last thing she wanted to do was overwhelm Joel to the point that he would regret having her around.
“I’m the one that suggested it,” he snorted, tipping his head to the side causing a warmth to flood into her face. “I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t want it. I very much would like having you move in with me. Having your face be the first and last thing I see every day sounds like the perfect thing to me.”
“If you wouldn’t have said I loved you, I would have blurt it out at some point here,” she chuckled, getting him to smile at the way she appeared to be getting emotional in the moment.
“I hope I have enough space for you,” he thought aloud, considering her home in New York City as opposed to his home in Jackson. “I know you own a big place in New York, but I can move things around and…”
“There is enough space for me in your home, if you’re okay with it,” she explained, her throat going dry at the thought that they were already planning on moving in together and told one another they loved each other. It wasn’t a fear. It was an excitement. One she didn’t expect, but it was there. “I don’t know what I’m going to do with my job. Nor do I know if I will be able to find work here.”
“I think it’s fairly obvious that you would be able to get a job here easily. We don’t have the best healthcare out here. You could probably get a job at the nearest hospital or even start your own medical office if you wanted,” he thought aloud thinking back to her telling him last night about the people stopping her in the streets with medical questions. “You’ve probably seen the hospital. It’s less than a mile away from the inn. They’d be lucky to get a doctor like you there.”
“So just like that, huh?” she breathed out, a tiny smirk pressing in over her features when he gave her a confident nod. “People are going to think we are nuts for doing something like this. You might get sick of me if I move in with you.”
“I don’t think that’s possible,” he hushed her, dragging his thumb across her bottom lip. Sucking in a sharp breath of air, he watched her kiss at the pad of his thumb and it made him smile. “We might be the talk of the town for a while as long as you could handle that.”
“After the way they were those first few days I arrived in Jackson? I think I can handle anything,” she snickered with him leaning in to nuzzle his nose in against hers. “Do you think it’s healthy how attached we are to one another?”
“You’re the doctor, you tell me,” he slurred, pressing faint kisses at the side of her face. Leaning into them, she closed her eyes and liked the way that this felt. Getting to be in his arms, sharing time together in a place like this? It was like something out of her dreams, but this was real. And that made this all the more special for her. “If you ask me? I don’t care what’s healthy. I just know how you make me feel and I don’t want that to stop.”
“Good enough for me,” she brought their lips together in another kiss that probably lingered on for far too long. When they came here, she didn’t expect them to spend most of their time cuddled up to one another kissing each other, but that’s what they did. They wanted to be near one another. Joel was crazy for not thinking this was romantic because it was. Being wrapped up in each other’s arms telling the other they loved one another? It was perfect. “You know, you brought me here to enjoy the scenery, but instead I’ve been wrapped up in you.”
“You got a few minutes in,” he hummed against her lips causing her to laugh which vibrated against his bottom lip. Turning her in his arms, he nuzzled his nose in against the side of her neck and allowed her to take some time to appreciate their surroundings. “I know you love New York, but I think you’re starting to see what makes this place so special. How magical it can really be.”
“Yeah, it’s all very beautiful,” she alerted him, reaching to hook her fingers with his beneath the water. “But the thing that draws me here isn’t this, although it is special. The thing that draws me here is you. I think I could be anywhere in the world and I would be okay as long as I had you with me.”
“Every word you say makes me fall in love with you even more,” he whispered, pressing kisses against the side of her face. How affectionate he was with her surprised even Joel himself because for so long he had a hard time showing it. His relationship with Tess proved that and it was a long relationship. It wasn’t something he was fully honest with Y/N about, but how fast he was hooked on Y/N really did astonish him. “We will probably have to get out soon. There is another place we have to get to by evening.”
“That’s probably a good idea because my fingertips are starting to look a little sad,” she leaned further back against Joel, resting her head back against his collarbone. Cuddling her close to him, he gazed up at the natural beauty around them and sighed loudly. “What is it?”
“Do you really think you could be happy out here? If you moved in with me?” he was genuinely curious, his worries starting to eat away at him when she gazed back over her shoulder at him. “I just mean, you really loved New York City and I don’t want to take you away from something that you love. Something that means a lot to you. I know I can be hard to care for sometimes and I don’t want you to regret coming here being with me.”
“In these last few days,” she began, turning in Joel’s arms, reaching out to cup his face in her hands tenderly, “I have experienced more happiness than I have in over a decade. If this last week tells me anything, it’s that I firmly believe I can have endless amounts of happiness if I gave this a shot. New York City is what I have been clinging onto because it’s all I had. If you’re willing and you mean it, I don’t think I would ever regret coming here to stay with you.”
Not wanting to say too much, he just gave her a nod and a weak smirk. Really, he was too scared to say much more. This was a good thing. Something that he was actually happy about and that didn’t happen too often. Part of him was terrified that his bad luck was going to kick in and if he let her know just how happy this whole thing was making him, it would somehow bring about something bad. For the first time in a long time, he had something in his life that he was afraid of losing and that scared him.
Finishing up at the pool, they got dressed and then took the snowmobile ride back to his truck. After packing things up, they got a quick dinner together before going to the next destination that he had planned for them. When they pulled up to the Jackson Ranch he could see that there was visible amusement in her eyes.
“What is this?” she seemed to be in amazement when her eyes fell upon the horses that were being ridden around the area. With a smirk, Joel tipped his head back against the seat and bit down on his bottom lip. Instead of answering, Joel got out of the truck and made his way around to help her out of the truck. Reaching for her hand, he hooked his fingers with hers and led her toward the stables that they were parked near.
“You seemed to love the horses so much during the sleigh ride through town, I thought I would bring you here. Allow you to actually get to have some time to see them,” he informed her, squeezing his fingers around hers while they walked side by side. There seemed to be a rush of excitement that flooded into her features and it made him smile. “Tommy and I both have horses here.”
“No shit?” she blurt out causing an amused rumble to fall from Joel’s throat. Her enthusiasm definitely made everything he had done for her better. Entering the stables, he watched her closely loving her every expression she made as they moved by the horses that were lined up. “You have a horse? You actually know how to ride a horse?”
“Yeah,” he nodded his head about, some color flooding into his face when he shrugged his shoulders. “Pretty well actually.”
“How did this conversation never come up?” she stopped to stare out at him, wiggling his arms about while she held onto his hands. “It would have been the perfect time to tell me when I put that cowboy hat on you.”
“Well, at that moment you were the one doing the riding,” he snorted, laughing out loud when she firmly smacked at the center of his chest playfully. His nose wrinkled when he waved his hand about in the air. “I’m just stating a fact.”
“You’re something else, you know that?” she grumbled under her breath with him reaching out to pull her into his arms.
“Yeah, but you love me anyways,” he repeated what he knew to be true and it brought forth some color into her face. Truthfully? He liked throwing that word around. Especially since he knew they both felt the same way. “You know I’m right.”
Stopping long enough, he captured her lips in a tender sweep that had her clinging tightly to his jacket. Tugging herself up onto her toes, they continued to kiss until the sound of one of the horses interrupted the two of them causing them both to laugh.
“That right there is Tommy’s horse,” he educated her, nodding over her shoulder to the stall that was behind her. Turning on her heel, she felt Joel’s hands settling in over her hips and she smiled at the light brown horse that was before them. From afar she stared out at the horse and he let out a small snicker. “You can pet them. It’s okay.”
With permission, she stepped forward and held her hand out. Clearly, she was trying to allow the horse to get comfortable enough with her so she could start to pet the horse, “This big mouth right here is Justified. And before you ask me, no I don’t know why Tommy named it that, but he did.”
“Hey there,” she whispered, being extremely gentle in the way that she was petting the horse. Even though he was pretty sure she hadn’t been around horses much, she took great care in making the animal comfortable with her. And she was in awe of the horse. “You are so pretty, aren’t you?”
In the next stall, the horse let out a neigh with the two of them pampering Justified. Giving Justified a final pat, Joel stepped aside and reached his hand out to pet the horse in the next stable, “This jealous little man right here is mine.”
A smirk tugged at her lips after she got done praising Justified and moved in beside Joel to stare out at the darker horse, “This fella’s name is Callus.”
“Hello Callus, it’s nice to meet you,” she whispered and it seemed like Joel’s horse was immediately smitten with her. After a moment, her face scrunched up and an amused sound escaped her throat. “Callus? Did I say that right? Why in God’s name is his name Callus?”
“I hate that name,” Joel defended himself, placing his hand in over the center of his chest. “I didn’t come up with it. A while back, I took this kid under my wing. She was an orphan that had no one and I promised to look after her for someone. She’s the one that named him.”
“Did she hate the horse?” she teased, continuing to pet Callus who couldn’t be bothered that they were ultimately saying how awful his name was.
“No, I think she was very fond of him,” he explained, his eyebrows bouncing up when he considered his past.
“Why have I never met this girl?” she inquired, her head tipping to the side with Joel’s face flushing over. “Why have we never even talked about this girl?”
“We’ve been kind of busy,” he suggested, a lump in his throat growing knowing that it was a big part of him and he probably should have talked about it with her, but they were distracted for a huge part of their time together. “Plus, we aren’t as close as I would like us to be anymore.”
“Should I ask?” she didn’t want to upset him since she had always promised him that he didn’t have to talk about things that made him uncomfortable.
“We had a disagreement. It made her not talk to me for a while. Recently she started talking to me again, but it’s not like how it used to be,” he didn’t exactly elaborate and she wasn’t about to force him to. “She lives on a farm outside of Jackson with her girlfriend and their son. So whenever she’s free, she will come out here to see me. Or whenever she feels guilty enough I guess. I’m sure you’ll meet her the day after Christmas. That is, if she comes.”
“I’d love to meet her,” she stated with a shrug of her shoulders, still doing her best not to put her nose into Joel’s business.  “So, you’re kind of like her adopted father.”
“In a roundabout way, I guess,” he scoffed, pausing to think of the answer. “Why?”
“Then that means you’re a grandpa?” she joked, her head tipping to the side in a playful manner that had Joel grumbling under his breath. “I’m dating and in love with a grandpa.”
“Watch it,” he dropped one of his hands down to poke at her side, getting her to jump in response. “I’ve learned how ticklish you can be and if you keep fucking with me, I’m not afraid to use it.”
“Well that’s cruel,” she winked, returning her attention to Callus before letting out a dramatic sigh. “Wow, you really are like an authentic cowboy. I would have never thought it.”
“Would you like to go for a ride with an authentic cowboy?” he stammered, getting a wicked smirk to tug at her features.
“I’ve had quite a few,” she responded causing a flush to grow into his face since he walked right into that one. “But if you’re offering us to go on a ride with Callus, I would be honored.”
“Well, now that you’re done being a pervert, I reckon Callus would love to go for a ride around the ranch. It’s been a while since he’s been able to show off,” he had her step back so he could start to get everything for them ready. It took a while since it had been quite some time since he had done this, but by the time he was ready, he pulled himself up onto Callus with a grunt. Holding his hand out toward her, he motioned her forward which had her swallowing loudly. Even though she was eager to do this, there was still a sense of anxiousness in her movements. As soon as she grabbed a hold of his hand, he was easily pulling her up with him. It didn’t take much at all for him to do it and by the look in her eyes, he knew that she was amazed with how strong he was. Tightly wrapping her arms around Joel’s waist, she made sure that she wouldn’t fall in the moment. How she was holding onto him actually made him proud with him smirking and looking back over his shoulder at her. “You good?”
“Yeah, I just never realized how strong you were,” she responded, cuddling her head in against the center of his back.
“You’d be surprised just how strong I’m capable of being,” he alerted her, instructing Callus to move forward out of the stables. Once they got outside, Callus had a skip to his trot excited to be out in the snow with Joel riding him. “Callus here is showing off. When he was younger, he’d go on long rides through the wilderness. So when he gets the chance to shine these days, he does.”
How Joel talked about Callus awed her. Today alone, she learned that he had this horse and he visibly cared deeply for it. Then she learned that Joel had a young woman in this life that he considered family. There were new things she was learning about him every day.
“You keep surprising me Joel Miller,” she informed him, nuzzling her nose in against the side of his neck when she got more comfortable with him. That statement was really true. The man that Joel turned out being really surprised her. If you would have told her when she first met Joel the kind of man he was, she would have never believed you. Cuddling in against him from behind, she admired how easily he worked with Callus and how natural everything came to him. There was so much good to Joel that she didn’t understand why he was so upset when she came to town. The man she had grown close to over the last week was incredible. “The moments I’ve spent with you over this last week have been some of the best in my life. I hope you know that.”
“That means a lot to me,” he muttered, sucking in a sharp breath of air. There was something that swirled through his mind when he thought about some of the discussions they had. Recalling the night she opened up her heart to them at that bar about her past, he remembered that she had told them that she was looking for a reason to prove that life was still worth living. “I was scared at first, y’know? You’re so pure and I didn’t want to be the thing that broke you.”
Leaning forward enough, she pressed a loving kiss against Joel’s cheek and it had him sighing loudly. There was a warmth flooding throughout his body even though it was incredibly cold outside and it brought a chill to the both of them. Clearing his throat, he continued to ride realizing that this was probably a conversation better left for off the horse, but he had to say what was on his mind.
“I was pretty much done with life, y’know? I loved Tommy and the others in my life but everyone was moving on. They had things that made them happy and I was still so alone. Lonely,” he lingered on the last word he said, his chest aching at the thought. “But then you showed up and it’s like you built this new and improved version of me. Glued the pieces of me together to the point you wouldn’t even know I was broken. I’m not sure anyone has ever been capable of that.”
“Joel…” she started, stopping herself when she felt herself getting maybe just a little too emotional in the moment. Looking down, she simply just cuddled herself in closer to him and wrapped her arms tightly around him.
“What is it?” he gave her a quick look back over his shoulder noticing that she stopped herself from saying something.
“I just love you,” she spoke faintly, her chest aching at the thought of what both of them were before she showed up to town. “So much.”
“You don’t have to hide that from me,” he promised her with a wink, liking that in her arms he felt like he belonged to her. “How about we do a few more rounds around the ranch and then head back to my place?”
“Before we go back to your place, do you think we can stop at the inn for me to pick up a few things? So that way I don’t have to go back to the inn before we go to Tommy and Maria’s place tomorrow?” she requested and Joel simply just gave her a nod. She really didn’t think he would have a problem with it. “Thank you for everything today Joel. I don’t think you realize how much it means to me.”
“You’re welcome,” he grunted, enjoying the way that her hand caressed up and over the center of his chest. The way she was holding onto him made him feel like he belonged to her which was something he liked feeling. “I’m just glad to have you here.”
After finishing up at the ranch, they did exactly as she asked of him. They headed to the inn where she ran up to grab some things and Joel checked on everyone that was working through the night. When she came back downstairs, he was already waiting for her sitting down on the bottom step. It felt nice to have someone to go to on Christmas Eve. Most of her holidays were spent alone at the hospital where she would visit with patients. After she lost her family, she really never had something to come back to.
They lingered around the inn for a bit before heading back to Joel’s. When they got there, he told her that she should go take a shower to get relaxed for the night while he made them some hot chocolate and set up a movie night for them. Genuinely? She thought it was very sweet.
Attempting to take a quick shower so she didn’t have him waiting, she was surprised when she started heading down the stairs to see that the living room was lit up by the Christmas tree. On most occasions when they would be at Joel’s home, he would normally keep it off, so it was nice to see. But when she made it to the bottom step, she let out a loud exhale when she saw that the fireplace was on. Laid out before it were some blankets and pillows making a smile tug at her lips. The whole set up was very intimate even with the sound of a quiet music playing in the background. The only thing that was missing was Joel.
“Joel?” she called out to him, moving further into the living room. Once he heard her, the sound of something being fumbled in the kitchen was heard followed by a slew of curse words. With a laugh, she stepped forward wondering if she should join him in the kitchen. “Are you okay? Do you need help.”
“No, I just…” he groaned out from the kitchen, cursing under his breath a few more times. “Could you just sit on the couch and wait for me for a minute?”
“I can do that,” she agreed to what he asked of her, heading across the living room to take a seat on the edge of the couch. Curiosity was eating away at her with her tipping slightly in hopes to get a look at what was going on in the kitchen, but she really couldn’t see much of anything. “Are you sure you don’t need help in there?”
“No, I don’t…” he sighed loudly and she heard him mouthing something under his breath. “Do you think you could cover your eyes for a minute? Don’t open them until I tell you to. I have…well, I reckon it’s a surprise, but I don’t…know.”
“Okay,” she laughed, amused with the way that he was talking. By the tone, it sounded like he was very unsure of himself and she was interested in what was actually going on. Following through with it, she covered her eyes after closing them. An involuntary smiled tugged at her features when she slid further back against the couch. “They’re covered.”
By the sounds of his footsteps, she knew that he came from the kitchen to join her in the living room. Hearing him breathing loudly told her that he was anxious, but she couldn’t picture why. Truthfully? He had her covering her eyes longer than she thought he would, “Just…don’t laugh, okay? I thought this was gonna be a better idea than it is.”
“I can open my eyes?” she confirmed with him hearing him scoff in response.
“Yeah,” he didn’t say much when she lowered her hands to her lap. Taking her time opening her eyes, she couldn’t help but smile when her head lifted to take a look at Joel standing in front of her with a tray in his hands. On the tray were the hot chocolates decorated with whipped cream on top along with chocolate shavings. But? She was more so distracted with the opened robe that Joel was wearing. It was made to look like Santa’s costume. Underneath the only thing he was wearing was a pair of green boxer briefs dawned with red diagonal lines across them. And at the front of the boxer briefs was a printed-on Christmas bow that brought forth some color into her face. Finally meeting Joel’s dark eyes, she could help but smile seeing the Santa hat that he was wearing. Really, he went all out with this and she couldn’t help the involuntary laugh that escaped her lips. Instead of him realizing that she thought he was adorable, he thought the worst and slouched forward. “I knew this was a bad idea. I look ridiculous, don’t I? I thought it would be much sexier at the time I came up with it.”
“Hey, hey…” she hushed him when he lowered the tray of hot chocolates onto the coffee table and seemed visibly frustrated. Standing up from the couch, she moved around the coffee table to reach for his hands before he could run off. “It’s not ridiculous at all.”
“You’re laughing,” he frowned, grunting in annoyance when the Santa hat fell in front of his face. Blowing firmly, he tried to get it out of his eyes causing her to laugh when it plopped right back down where it was before. Reaching for it, she moved it out of his eyes and noticed the red coloring that had flooded into his face from being embarrassed. “I’m an old man, I shouldn’t be doing this. I don’t know why I thought this was a good idea.”
“Stop,” she closed the distance between them, reaching up for the sides of the robe that he was wearing. Tugging at the material had him stumbling in closer toward her and it made her smile. “You did all this for me?”
“I did,” he muttered looking between them, just as she did so she could get a look at what he was wearing. “I wanted to make tonight special for you.”
“So you’re my gift?” she confirmed with him and he gave her a single nod. A smile expanded across her features and he felt a warmth flooding throughout his body when she lifted her right hand to start drawing shapes over the center of his chest. “I think you look fantastic.”
“No, you don’t,” he shook his head, chuckling with the bridge of his nose wrinkling. Swallowing down hard, he watched as she lowered down to push the robe somewhat apart to start pressing small, wet kisses near his collarbone. Unhurriedly, they raised up over his shoulder and to the side of his neck eliciting a deep rumble of a moan to escape him. “I’ve never done anything like this.”
“But you look so good,” she assured him, pressing her body in against his. Having her close like this had his breathing growing broken and uneven. Dropping her hand down, she faintly palmed in over the front of his boxer briefs where the bow was causing his eyes to flutter to a tight close. Groaning out, his head tipped back with his Adam’s apple bouncing in his throat. It allowed her to nip tenderly at the flesh there. “And I can’t wait to open my present when the time is right.”
“Yes ma’am,” he growled out, a fire flooding through his veins with the excitement she had caused his body from just cupping at him through the material of the boxer briefs. “I made a special peppermint hot chocolate for us.”
“Then we should drink it,” she breathed out, heading over toward the blankets that Joel had set up for them. Carefully lowering herself down gave Joel time to reach for her mug and bring it to her. Accepting the cup, she watched as he lowered down and then reached for his own mug before joining her. “What is this?”
“I told you, peppermint hot chocolate,” he responded pointing toward the mug provoking her to let out an amused laugh that had him tipping his head to the side. Furrowing his eyebrows, he was visibly confused when he took a small sip of his hot chocolate. “What?”
“I meant all this?” she nodded toward the setup, chuckling when Joel pulled his mug away and some of the whipped cream was in his facial hair. Setting her mug aside carefully, she leaned across to steal a kiss from him. Tipping her head back, she swept her finger over the mess that he left. Cleaning it, she dragged her thumb across his bottom lip having his lips parting with a quiet moan escaping him. Sucking at the tip of her thumb, his eyes closed and she felt her heart skip a beat at his reaction to what she had done.
“I told you,” he began licking his lips when she sat back down and reached for her hot chocolate. “I wanted to do something special for you. Give you a nice gift to lead you into Christmas. I just wanted to prove to you that I listen.”
“That you listen?” she repeated, her eyebrow arching in curiosity when she lowered the hot chocolate down. There was no question that Joel took a lot of effort in what he put together. The hot chocolate was the perfect amount of sweet. And when he brought them out here, it looked like something out of a magazine.
“You don’t realize?” he muttered, grabbing their hot chocolates to set them back on the coffee table that wasn’t far from them. Crawling back to her, he reached for her hand and pulled her to him. Lowering her back against the blankets, her head fell against the pillows with him moving in over her. With a laugh, the hat fell into his eyes again and he tried to swipe it away. After multiple attempts, he reached for the hat and pulled it from his head. Tossing it aside left his hair messy, but he smiled down at her with awe over the way she was laughing. “You told me you’d never been made love to before when we saw it on the television that time.”
“That’s what this is,” she blurt out, her heart fluttering in her chest at the idea of it. Brushing her fingers through Joel’s hair, she didn’t know how she’d ever want to leave Joel, if only for a few days. Each day she fell harder for him with every action. “I thought you said that this was completely unrealistic.”
“Well, for you, I reckon I’m willing to try just about anything,” he responded, his dark eyes locking with hers as her hands caressed up and over the center of his chest toward his shoulders. The heat from the fireplace was far enough away that it still felt warm where they were laying. “I want you to see that I care about you. That you mean so much to me…”
Lifting her left hand, she brushed her fingers through his hair and it had him leaning into her touch. Lowering down in over her, he balanced his weight on his arms with him hovering his mouth over hers. Teasing her with the idea of a kiss had the both of them smiling when she made a disappointed sound. Finally bringing their lips together had her arms wrapping around his broad shoulders. For a while, they just laid in front of the fire kissing one another. The sweetness from the hot chocolate that he made still lingered over their lips and it added to the whole feeling of everything.
“You are the best Christmas gift I’ve ever had,” she panted after breaking away from the kiss, allowing his forehead to rest against hers. Pressing into his shoulders helped her to roll him over onto his back. Moving in over him, she rest on her knees and flattened her hands out over his lower abdomen. Caressing up and over the lengths of his torso toward his chest had him sucking in a sharp breath of air. “I see in everything you do that you care about me. I don’t have to question it.”
“I’m just afraid,” he confessed, his hands reaching for the bottom of her shirt. Working the material up her body had her lifting her arms to help him when he managed to get it off of her. Almost immediately his hands found their way to her hips. Sliding up over her sides, he lifted up enough to work with the hook in her bra. Pretty easily he was able to get the material off of her before he tossed it beside them. Gazing upon her body with awe, he didn’t know what he should or should not say. “How I feel about you scares me.”
“It shouldn’t,” she hushed him as he pushed up onto his palms to bring their bodies closer together. Helping him to work the robe from his body, she heard the heavy material hit the ground beside them when she wrapped him up in her arms. Their chests pressed together and the warmth of the skin-to-skin contact felt nice. His hands caressed up and over the lengths of her back before down again with his eyes locked on hers. “It’s okay.”
“I’m telling you, I’ve never been afraid. Not for a long time at least. Nothing scared me,” he explained to her, leaning up enough to start pressing loving kisses along her jawline. Her nails faintly bit at his upper shoulders when she tipped her head back and allowed him to kiss down over her neck. Taking a moment to gaze upon her again, he let out a tremoring breath and shrugged his shoulders. “But then you came into my life and now I’m scared. Scared because I love you. Scared that I won’t be good enough for you. That I won’t make you happy. That I will lose you.”
Stroking her fingers down over the side of his face had his eyelashes fluttering to a close. Bringing them together, she kissed at his plump bottom lip again and again having his arms tightening around her. Gasping out as he rolled her around had her heart hammering in her chest. Getting comfortable over the blankets, she lifted her hips when Joel’s fingers hooked into the waistband of her pants. Carefully, he started to pull them down her body, taking her panties with them. Dropping them beside him, he returned and dragged his rough fingertips up over the inside of her thigh. It had her shuddering beneath him.
“I’m so scared of what might happen to me if I lose you. I didn’t think I’d be able to be happy again. I didn’t think I was capable,” he continued to explain, his palm flattening in against her lower abdomen. Dragging it upwards had her back arching toward his touch. Cupping at the underside of her breast, he let his fingers finally surround it as he pressed in closer to her. Peppering kisses between the valley of her breasts drew out a whimper from her that made him smile. His thumb circled her nipple drawing chills throughout her body when his mouth surrounded her breast. The warmth of his tongue circled the small bud, pampering her body in that moment. Pulling back with a wet sound, he straightened his back and got up to his knees. Taking advantage she pushed up onto her hands and started to press wet kisses over his abdomen, down toward the area below his bellybutton. Working together, they both tugged at the waistband of the boxer briefs and got the material down. Wiggling about had both of them smiling when he managed to kick the material from his ankles. Getting comfortable over her again, they both adjusted their bodies. Grabbing one of the blankets, he worked it in over them and nervously licked his lips. “Being around you made me realize that I’m capable of being happy. I’m capable of looking forward to life. And even though I don’t think I deserve that, I don’t want to lose it.”
“You won’t lose me,” she promised him, stroking her fingers through the curls of hair at the bottom of his neck. Laying himself between her thighs, he reached for her leg and urged it to wrap around his waist. Kiss after loving kiss was pressed against her lips with his hips bucking up against her. The warmth of him had her body arching up toward his until he reached between them to help lead himself into her with an unhurried thrust forward. Hovering his lips over hers, his hand palmed in over the side of her face, cherishing the way the way she looked at him as he was fully inside of her. “Joel…”
Stealing another kiss from her lips, he took his time rolling his hips over her. Every movement was slow, focused and romantic. It was what she pictured something like this being. Being made love to was simply just an idea for so long, but with the way he was moving and touching her, it was a reality. Her hands caressed up over his back, appreciating the way the muscles flexed beneath her touch.
“Look at me,” he requested, his lips hovering just over hers with his movements still steady. Their breathing was linked, both of them desperate to be near the other. Lowering in closer to her, he nuzzled his nose in against hers. Every movement was meticulous working to keep that steady pressure between the both of them. “I love you, so much.”
This was the first time they had slept together since they had told each other that they loved one another. And by the movements? It felt different. This whole thing was so incredibly passionate. It was romantic. With every thrust, he whispered words of encouragement and praise. It left her with chills down her spine at just how perfect Joel was capable of being. How romantic and sweet. Making love to her in front of the fireplace was incredibly romantic and she fell in love with him more and more. This wasn’t about proving anything. This was him making love to her. Doing what she yearned for leading them up to the moment she came just before he did. Afterwards, he laid in over her, kissing her again and again. “Was that what you were looking for?”
“It was amazing,” she whimpered when he finally pulled himself from her and laid in beside her. Wrapping her up in his arms, he traced shapes over her shoulders with her head resting in over his chest. Listening to the sound of his heart, she closed her eyes and liked the way all of this felt.
“Y’know, I planned to tell you that I loved you during this,” he alerted her, his fingers dancing along the lengths of her shoulders. Using his free hand, he curled his fingers in underneath her jaw to get her to raise her head so she could look up at him. Her pupils were dilated, her breathing still loud as he swept his thumb along her jawline. “I wanted this to be your perfect moment.”
“This was my perfect moment. You told me you love me many times and each time it felt amazing,” she assured him, pressing kisses against the pad of this thumb with him dragging it out over her bottom lip. “I love you Joel Miller. And everything about today was phenomenal.”
“I like hearing you say that,” he whispered, his face twisting with visible emotion. “I love you. I know it’s fast. I know it’s crazy. And I know we are rushing into this, but I’ve never felt this way about someone. Even people I should have felt this way toward. I feel so much when I’m around you and I just…I never want to be away from you. Call it an addiction, call it whatever you want. All I know is that I am smitten. I’m head over heels for you and I love you.”
A tremoring breath escape her lips when she pushed up onto her hands to move in over him and bring their lips together in a passionate sweep that left the both of them breathless when they separated. Brushing his messy hair out of his face, she gave him a weak smile and nodded her head, “I love you too. So much.”
“Just like that?” he swallowed down hard, letting out a muted laugh when she gave him a confident nod. “For the first time in my life I’m excited. I want you to move in with me. I want to start a life with you. I want us to be together….”
“I want that too,” she assured him, hooking her fingers with his. The way he squeezed at her fingers and stared out at her with adoration in his eyes only confirmed for her everything that he was saying. “My heart knows what it wants and it’s you.”
“We’re insane,” he claimed with a raspy laugh, pulling her in over him and cuddling her close. A week ago we were ready to kill each other because we annoyed one another so fucking much. And now? I can’t imagine not having you in my arms every night. You’re the pieces I’ve been missing. You make me whole.”
“I am completely taken by you Joel Miller,” she whispered, kissing him once more before lowering her head to cuddle it in against his chest. Almost protectively his arms wrapped around her and cuddled her close. “And I’m yours.”

A/N - I got this idea at like 2 am and it took me three days to write it but I love it tbh.
No matter how close the game was, the girls will always go out after a win. Most times I choose to not tag along since i'll probably get pushed aside. This time Paige and the girls came home more excited than usual. They made it to the final four. I was laying on the couch watching a couple episodes of friends when the doorknob of my apartment shook open. The sound of Paige's keys jingling single handily lifted me off the couches cushions. My eyes lit up even more when Paige's bright eyes met with mine.
I was originally just a trainer for Paige when she tore her ACL but during all of that, I was also trying my best to improve my volleyball career. Once I realized that being Paige's trainer would lead to a bit more, I also realized that I would get invested in everything else. Now that she was healed I tagged along the other girls, helping them out when no one was there to help with their own injuries. Finally, the season was almost over. All the other people that helped out with the teams injuries were back and ready to work. So this was my chance to get back on the volleyball court and actually pursue something. Paige was there the whole way. Anytime I would push her away so that she could focus on her own goals she would say something along the lines of "you helped me so much y/n I can't just not give anything back" and I just couldn't say no when she had that sexy of a voice. Who said that. Everything was chill, me and Paige stayed friends and we helped each other reach our goals. It felt nice to have such a good friend by my side with all that I was going through.
Paige walked through the door and her bright blue eyes met mine. She had a couple tears of joy in her eyes ready to fall and once they did I was ready to gently wipe them away. I wrapped my arms around her torso while hers were lifting me up in the air. Wow she never did that before. A loud giggle left my mouth when i noticed that I was in the air now. The blondes arms had a tight grip on my waist, keeping me up with stability. When she finally let me down all she did was jump around the living room like a child. "Did you see me and Nika's blocks?" She yelled across the room while I stood in place with my hands on my hips. A very entertained look was on my face while I watched Paige leap through the living room. "Yes i did! I saw everything!" I rushed up to Paige to hold her in place and calm her down. Before I could pull her into another hug, our phones buzzed at the same time. Paige pulled hers out first and looked down at a text from KK asking if we were up for a party tonight. Without hesitation Paige grabbed onto my wrists and shook them around while begging for me to come with. "Are you serious Paige? We do this every time, i don't like parties...." Paige kept on whining while giving me puppy dog eyes. I guess this once wouldn't be bad.
WRONGGGG
So I gave in and went to my bathroom to get ready. Most of Paige's stuff was here already so she didn't bother going back to the teams house to get ready. I spent around 45 minutes getting ready. I don't know why. It's not like there would be anyone important there. It's just a party. Nothing more. I dragged the mascara wand against my eyelashes while blinking to dry them quicker. I took one last look in the mirror before going to my closet to pick out an outfit. My eyes were immediately drawn to a black tube top and some jean shorts. It was probably going to be cold outside so I grabbed a red zip up to cover my bare collarbones and shoulders. The only shoes I could find were my red converse which I was kind of lucky to have. I walked out of my walk-in closet to find Paige sitting on the edge of my bed, putting on a pair of shoes. The moment i stepped out, Paige's eyes were very obviously clinging to my body. She tried to hide the fact that she was staring hard at my top by complimenting me quickly. "Shit you look good! Everyone's gonna be on you..." Her words dragged on with very clear tones of jealousy. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a red button up flannel. Fuck me.
Once I had grabbed my purse and some lip balm, Paige held my hand while walking out the door and I locked it behind us. We walked over to Paige's car and the moment we got inside it was Drake on repeat. She sadly grabbed the aux before I could. The entire drive was filled with Paige's voice cracking every other lyric and me pretending to not know every line. The bar that the girls decided to be at seemed way nicer than the others. Of course I may have not been out either the girls a lot but the times that I was, most of the places they partied at were just a tad bit sketchy. Paige parked her car next to Aubrey's and stepped out of the car before brushing off her shirt by sliding her hands down her chest. She clearly wanted to look presentable. The second I heard Chase Atlantic playing on the speakers I couldn't resist from singing, almost screaming, to the lyrics. I waved to a couple of the girls who were sitting at a booth right ahead of me and Paige.
"What took ya'll so long?" KK said before shoving Paige's shoulder with a wide smile on her face. "This one did" Paige said gesturing behind her to me. "She must have someone to impress huh" Ice teased me while poking at my hip. I let out a forced laugh knowing that they were right. "Nuh uhhh. I just like doing my makeup to go out..." I lied quickly. Before anyone could make anymore remarks on how i cared about my appearance, Nika came around the corner with a plate of shots for everyone. I jumped up once she set down the cup and wrapped my arms around her back. "NIKA!" I squealed, clinging myself onto Nika's body. She leaned back a little, almost falling back from the intensity of my hug. "Woah! Heyyy!" Her arms settled around my waist, melting into my back. My eyes were shut against Nika's skin but when I opened them I saw Paige staring the both of us down with not an ounce of happiness on her face. I tried my best to not react but jesus it was hard. Is Paige Bueckers, my best friend, jealous that i'm hugging her teammate? Or am I just tweaking.
I stepped away from Nika and gave her a squeeze on her forearm before pulling Paige to the side and whispering to her. "You good? You looked pissed at me just right now." She did nothing but nod. Just a simple nod. She took a sip of her drink before going over to talk with Azzi. I looked around the building to see if there were any other girls scattered around the place but for the most part everyone seemed to be in the same place. I walked up to the table of our booth and took a shot before leaning my head on Paige's shoulder. Most people viewing from afar would think that we were dating but I swear we have no feelings for each other. Paige doesn't at least. I had been messing around with the short sleeve of Paige's flannel when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I spun around to find one of my old volleyball teammates staring at me. I didn't realize it was her until she gave me that 'bitch do you not know me' look. I gasped louder than ever before wrapping my arms around the girl. "Oh my God Liv?! What are you doing here?" I squealed while pulling myself out of the hug. "I transferred a couple months ago! I saw on your Instagram that you went here and decided to surprise you. Plus my boyfriend plays for the basketball team so..." I turned around to pull Paige over in Liv's direction to introduce the two girls. "Paige this is Liv!" I say, frantically tapping the blondes shoulder. "Remember we played volleyball together in high school?" Paige was silent but seemed chill. She just kept of nodding in agreement with the same enthusiasm I was giving her. "I'm gonna go catch up with her ok? Don't dance without me p!" I yelled out while walking across the bar to sit down with a couple of Liv's friends.
I ended up sitting between her and a brunette guy. I didn't want to rude, so I introduced myself to him before Liv could. "Hey I'm y/n." I held my hand out in front of the guy. He looked at me in the eye, making me notice that his eyes were even more blue than Paige's. Damn. He held onto my hand and shook it for what felt like longer than needed. He had a shy smile on his lips and did anything he could to not break eye contact with me. "I'm Carter." It felt like our hands were melting together before he pulled away to look at Liv. "Carter this is y/n!" Apparently me and Carter were quiet enough for people to not realize that we already knew each other by now. "Oh yeah she introduced herself already." He pointed his thumb to the side, motioning to me. A little time passed that was filled with mindless drunken conversations. My head had slowly fallen on Carter's shoulder and It took me by surprise when he didn't shove me off. So I pretended to sleep soundly when I was really listening in on whatever nonsense every what talking about now. I slowly tried to inch my arm through Carter's to loop our limbs together. This is when he knew that I wasn't asleep, he gently moved his arm away from his hip for me to fit my arms through before closing in on my arms. What the fuck am I doing. Now I tried my best to act tired when he tapped me "awake." I sat up and looked around while rubbing my eyes gently enough to not smudge any mascara. "I think I'm gonna head home now." Liv snapped her head to me and furrowed her eyebrows. "What why? We've only hung out for a little bit." She whined. "I don't know I'm just tired already." I groaned while standing up and grabbing my purse. I was about to leave when I felt Carter's strong hand hold onto mine while he lifted himself up. "Let me drive you home."
Me and Carter were halfway to exit when I remember that Paige was probably still waiting for me. Just as we were going to cross the booth that Paige and her team were at I changed my mind. "Actually Carter I'm sorry but I have a friend that goes home with me and I cant leave her alone." His expression changed immediately.
"I'm sure she'll be fine." He had his hand wrapped my wrist now.
"Seriously I would feel so shitty if I just left her." I laughed off what started to feel like fear.
"No. Come on stop being ridiculous, you need to get home." His hand started to tighten around my skin.
"Carter can you stop. Just let me go home with her." I started to try and shake my arm out of his grip.
"Y/n just fucking stop. Lets go." He tugged on my wrist, trying to lead me out the door. This was perfect timing for me to be in the girls' sight now.
"Shit! Carter let me go!" I stopped walking and stood still while trying to pry his hand off of my wrist.
Finally Paige looked up and saw what was going on. Not a single ounce of hesitation crossed her mind. She stood up and rushed over to me. "Hey man let her fucking go!" She stormed in Carter face while holding a hand around my waist, pulling me away from the brunette. Carter was startled away by the 5'11 girl that had just as much confidence and more than his own. I had a couple tear in my waterline but quickly got rid of them by blinking and wiping the wet streaks of of my face. "Woah back off, I'm just trying to take her home." Carter snapped at Paige. "No, fuck off." Paige turned around with me in her grasp and walked back over to the booth. Everyone but Caroline didn't even realize what just happened. "Fine, I wouldn't want to fuck a dyke anyway." Carter yelled back at both me and Paige. It took everything in me to not turn around and swing at Carter. So Paige did it for me. she threw a hard punch right at the brunettes nose, knocking him back against the floor. "Jesus Paige!" I wrapped my hands around both of her arms and pulled her away. Her adrenaline faded away in less than a second but I swear I could still see fume flowing out of her ears. She winced while rubbing her knuckle back and forth. "Lets go." Paige said coldly while look down at Carters now bloody face. I nodded silently before holding onto her hand and walking the two of us out the exit door. Surprisingly, Paige hand gotten even a little tipsy that night. As much as I didn't want to make her drive, I didn't want to get into a crash at 12 am so Paige drove me to my apartment and unlocked the door. "Paige no. come in." I refused to let her drop me off and deal with whatever anger was built up in her alone.
I practically dragged Paige out of the car and through my door. She seemed more drunk than I was right now. I walked her to my bathroom and tapped on the counter, gesturing for her to sit down on it. She lifted herself up and winced again after putting pressure of her wounded hand. Her legs were swinging back and forth while she fidgeted with her own thumbs and I grabbed a first-aid kit and some rubbing alcohol. Her legs were spread just enough for me to fit myself in-between. I rested against her thigh while holding her fist in my hand and gently swiping away the excess blood. "This is gonna hurt." Were the only words I let out from when she punched Carter to when we almost fell asleep. I dabbed a cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol on the very tip of her knuckle, causing Paige's head to tilt back while she swayed her feet a bit more aggressively. "Shit!" she whined a bit before I pulled the cotton ball away and threw it in the trash can. Now that her fist was clean I could've just left it like that. I could've cleaned up the mess, put everything away and go to sleep. But of course I had to raise her hand up to my lips and place a gentle kiss on her knuckle. A lingering smell and taste of rubbing alcohol transferred to my lips but I tried to hide that. When I looked up, Paige's eye were locked onto mine. I did everything in me to attempt to look away but before I could I felt Paige's soft lips pressed into mine. I quickly got more comfortable with the kiss and slowly moved my hands to wrap around Paige's waist. I tilted my head to the side to perfectly fit her nose in between my eye socket and my own nose. She pulled away gently to look at me and protest what just happened. "I'm sorry-"
"Shut the fuck up."
I moved my hand up to Paige jawline and continued to wrap my lips around hers. I could feel that she didn't want to pull away but felt like she had the need to. "Sit up." I whispered through kisses and that she did. Paige stood up and moved her hands around my back, slowly moving them closer to my ass. I led her to my room and shut the door behind me before pushing her against the bed. I unlatched our lips to speak one more time.
"How long have you wanted to do this?"
"Long fucking time."
"I know."
I let my tongue slip in between Paige's lips, tangling itself with her own. Her hands were now running a long my back under my shirt. I pulled away for one last second to take of my shoes and jacket before fully crawling on top of Paige's lap and placing kisses down her neck and collarbones. Soft whines escaped the blondes mouth as I move closer to the opening of her flannel. Without removing my lips from her skin, I unbuttoned the flannel to reveal just a black sports bra. I looked up at Paige, giving her a look that was waiting for approval to take off her bra. She nodded eagerly giving me the chance to take it off. I couldn't help but stare at her tits before moving my lips further down her chest now reach her stomach. I traced my lips against each toned ab that she had. I could feel her stomach flexing against my mouth once I reached her bikini line. Now I gently unzipped her jeans and slipped them down her legs before tossing them to the side. The only noise I heard were the desperate whines leaving Paige's mouth, getting louder the lower I moved my lips. I practically tore her boxers off.
This is what I needed.
