I should make a post about how Leda is a genuinely genius take on the sort of character that would serve Miquella but in a way that is far more intriguing than the eye-rolling “she’s proof of his secret villainy” take.

Everything about her dialogue exudes a air of cynicism about her own companions and a great many things about herself. Someone else made a post explaining this much better than I did (dear future eldenrat: put link here), but all of her lines about humanity and her fellows (“Man is by nature a creature of conquest”, “revenge changes a man”, “It’s only a matter of time before he recalls, as I have, the cascading sheets of blood”, “Doubtless they’d have all come to blows were it not for the charm Kindly Miquella put upon us”) are all indicative of a person who has spent their lifetime being let down or wronged by others, and it is interesting to me because she’s decided to serve an Empyrean who is so forgiving of others even though it comes with the caveat of the charm.

I really like the idea that Leda has seen the kind of shit that human beings do when the Leviathan is permissive or absent, and that pain has drawn her to the side of a God that promises to embrace a new world that is free from the tyranny of those who embrace violence. She’s fed up with the old world and sees only one way forward, and is quite similar to Miquella in her “the end justifies the means” mentality, even if the means they choose are quite different and are in conflict with one another.

Dear Mx Peaceshire, thank you for putting out so much quality content of an OT3 that not only made me go from “I don’t know how this could work in a way that I like” to “Oh so THIS is how this could work in a way that I like” but also for inspiring me to write Buggy just about 25 percent more whiny and pathetic than I already did before. Just got to Daisy's first appearance and I forgot how violent their first interaction is. Jon's fledgling beholding powers emerging, and Daisy so clearly disturbed that she told him her story. Daisy keeps saying she's done answering questions, Jon disregards that completely and keeps asking, and she keeps answering!! Even though she's so disturbed! Even though she doesn't want to!! And it's the first time in season 2, maybe even in the whole show thus far, that Jon sounds sooo completely happy. Like. He's delighted, he's well fed, he's ENRICHED, he's having fun!!
