Did we ever find any stories about an elf falling in love with a human, and it being all tragic that the human will die so soon while the elf carries on, and the elf considers giving up immortality because of The Love So Deep, only the elf is the guy, and the human is female?

No shade to Arwen and Aragorn of course, but like all things Tolkien, people seem to have copied their trope without much imagination.

Is there a book/movie/game/whatever out there where a male immortal voluntarily joins his mortal wife in dying early because he loves her so much? There must be.

The outline of my Tobias/Casey Poly AU is done, and I'm fleshing out details and really getting into the writing. I'm really excited about this project, and, honestly, it has some elements from Open Heart, of course, but someone who didn't read OH could follow this story easily.

Would it be a dick move to tell someone they used the wrong word in a tag on AO3?

Instead of 'Allusions to _' they used the word 'Illusions.' Which was funny the first time I saw it. Then I scrolled down, and I saw they did it again! I still find it pretty funny, but I wonder if I should mention it? It's one thing if it's in the fic, like the old wanton/wonton mix up, or weary/wary which I see sometimes, but I figure spelling is important for tags.

I know this is silly, but I wanted other opinions.

Very interested in the whole the FL has fatal cancer thing in Queen of Tears because the doctor told her by herself, told the husband, and the FL has been having hallucinations and other symptoms. Doesn't seem like this is a fake disease. So can she live? Without it feeling like magic?

I've watched two other dramas where a lead has fatal cancer from the beginning, Doom at Your Service and Moon in the Day but both of those were fantasy. I guess they set up her giving money to research and I'll have to suspend my disbelief if that comes true (I am a medical researcher, all the money in the world cannot make research go *that* fast)

Anyway, such an interesting premise. Curious to see where it goes!
