korra (legend of korra) x reader angst to fluff 🙏🏻
I gotchuuu 😉👍
Korra x reader
+slight Kuvira x reader cause I have a huge brain rot for her🥲
Angst to fluff,mentions of trauma,long fic because it has plot in it.
Tumblr media
Korra has been...distant.
Ever since Zaheer and the red lotus poisoned her and forced her to fight in the avatar state she's been different,to you and to her family.
She doesn't eat,when she sleeps she has nightmares, she doesn't talk to you...and it's worrying you so much,your heart aches each time she sends you away with her deafening silence.
You try talking to her about Asami's accomplishment or Mako's new job,even how Bolin made a name for himself.
But each time she'd have that empty look in her eyes,as she sits in that wheelchair she despises so much.
Sometimes you wish you could read her mind,chase away the memories that are tormenting her.
"Please Korra,I'm begging you,try...for me,just...I know you can do it." You sit on your knees,hands on her knees. Eyes looking at her pleading.
"I'm not who I used to be, (Name). Stop trying to save me." She turns her head away, avoiding your pleading eyes.
"That's not true,and you know it!" You cup her cheek, bringing her face closer to yours,yet your eyes hardly connect with each other.
She grabbed your wrist, pulling it away from her face."I don't need you and your pity, so find someone else to nag and leave me alone already!" Korra snaps,anger running trough her body.
Your eyes whiden in shock and you feel like she squeezed your heart with her harsh words.
"Do you even love me?" You bite your lip, waiting for an answer you know you won't get.
You avert your eyes from her face. Disappointed with her lack of will to be with you.
"That's what I taught." You get up and turn around ready to leave. Ready for a new start away from here,from Korra.
"(Name) i-" she wants to get up,run after you ,hug you and tell you she loves you more than herself. But she can't even gather her words properly.
You stop for a second , wishing to hear those words,only fooling yourself further.
.
.
With time Korra started getting more ambitious. She wanted to return to the person everyone knew her as. The avatar.
Her wish to prove to you that she can do better was growing by the day. Even so,the last time you spoke to here was the day you left, a day she still regrets even now.
Sometimes she would just feel like giving up,but you reminded her who she was doing this for,giving her the will to fight.
It's been a year since you've left the south pole. Being there with the shell of your lover was too much for you to handle.
Since you returned to Republic city you've been reunited with Bolin, helping Kuvira restore order to the earth kingdom.
It really took your mind off Korra. Now that you joined Kuvira, you got stronger. Unlike someone,you didn't let your trauma and past tragedies hunt you anymore.
"Well done (Name), you're getting stronger by the day." The dark haired woman smiles, hand laying on your shoulder proudly.
You wipe some sweat of your forehead, smiling back at her. "That's the goal I'm reaching for." She nods, looking at your form.
"I remember the first time Bolin introduced you to me and my cause." She wraps some bandages on her wrist, preparing to spar with you, "You were so lost." You watch her moves carefully, getting in a fighting stance.
"Im not the person I used to be." You speak,words giving you a sense of deja Vu.
Kuvira lounges , throwing some big stones at you. You grin, dodging them.
Once you find your opening,you make some ice disks and throw them at her.
Kuvira bends herself an earth wall,then throws it at you.
You make yourself a wave of water,going around Kuvira's wall, your water wave is circling the older woman. Once water is all around her ,you let it fall,and freeze, traping her in ice.
You move towards Kuvira's frozen body. "You cold in there?" A smug smile adorns your face as you slightly bend down to meet with her face. Your hands lazily lay on your knees.
She smirks,your metal collar suddenly pulled towards her. "Don't get to cocky now. It's just the first time you finally got to beat me. Let's try it with metal bending next time hm?"
You roll your eyes, releasing Kuvira from the Ice cage that kept her down. "I'm confident in myself,but not that confident yet." arms crossed as she rubbed some sore spots on her cold hands.
"Can't you have some faith in yourself?Keep going like this and you won't be far from becoming my second in charge." She smiles.
You smile proudly, happy you can finally accomplish something more for yourself.
.
.
Another year passed,with you growing stronger and smarter every day,but the taught of your former lover never ceased to fade. Even now ,her return growing closer by the day. You wonder how she's doing, from what Tenzin has told you,she's having a great recovery.so far. Finally able to walk again.
You worked hard to become Kuvira's right hand,and you're now closer to your goal than ever.
So many cities you helped bring back order and balance , so many lives you saved while being part of this cause.
Unfortunately, Kuvira soon has to step down from her spot,the council finding a new king for the earth kingdom while your boss brought peace wherever she went.
.
"Oh and Flying monkeys!" You blink, looking at Bolin. "Isn't that what Avatar Aang had ?" You raise a brow,not remembering how this conversation even started. "That is so incorrect." Bolin crosses his arms. Looking ready to give you a lecture. "Avatar Aang had a flying Lemur AND a bison as his animal companions. Not a flying monkey, (name)." You roll your eyes. "Whatever you say rock brain." You smirk noticing his anoyed expression. "Hey! How many times have I told you to stop calling me that?" He pokes you in the waist,making you joilt up. "Stop that!" You glare at him,poking him back.
The two of you go on like this for a little while, attracting a few stares to yourself.
Until someone clears their troath.
"Am I interrupting something?" Lin stands towering over you and Bolin, giving you a bored look. "Chief Beifong!" Bolin is quick to bow down, dragging you with him.
"You little-" you stop yourself, locking eyes with the police chief, now giving her an awkward smile.
"If the two of you are done acting like monkeys,could you follow me?" You and Bolin now stand straight, noticing Lin's mood is lower than usual.
"I can't stay for chit chatting,maybe (Name) could solve this? I remembered I was supposed to meet with mako,like 30 minutes ago." The brunette boy gives you a sorry smile as you glare at him. "How convenient." Your comment followed by narrowed eyes,sent chills down his spine. Bolin took a quick look at chief Beifong,then left.
"Good. I wanted to speak to you anyways." You raise a brow curiously at the older woman's words. "You did?I mean ,you do?" She nods,not saying another word until you get to a remote Cafe.
The two of you sit down in a corner, quite remote from the rest of the people in the public space.
"So ,what did you want to speak to me about Chief?" You start, looking at the window.
"It's about Kuvira." Your face turns to Lin as she got your interest.
"What about Kuvira?" You tilt your head.
"I'm worried she won't step down and allow the prince to rule the earth kingdom." Lin stops,as a waitress brought the two of you two cups of tea,"Kuvira seems to take great pride in what she accomplished,but I don't think she's willing to stop there. People of earth empire call her The Great Uniter." The chief looks at her mug, waiting for you to respond.
You fiddle with your fingers, searching for the right words to describe Kuvira's wishes. "She has done so much for the earth kingdom,and she's a strong woman,in combat and in mind,the name fits her ,if km honest."
You stop to drink a little from your (chosen) tea, "And I know it's not my place to talk but...ever since Korra is gone,the people see Kuvira as their savior."
Lin sighs, "Kuvira is forcing people to do labor work for her , threatening them with their lives." You whiden your eyes at the words spoken from her.
"I know how she can be..harsh,.but she wouldn't do such a thing." Your gaze moves to the window.
"She is manipulating you (Name), because she knows how strong you are. Should I also remind you how you used to date the avatar?." You close your eyes tightly, trying to push away the taughts of Korra. "Why do you think she chose to have you so close to her? If Korra ever becomes a problem for her,she'll have you as leverage." Lin's fist tightens, looking at your expression.
"It's not true. If you saw the way she acts...you wouldn't say that.Kuvira wouldn't just use me like that." She sighs at your way of defending Kuvira. How could you defend such a woman?
"Everything Kuvira does is for a reason,keep that in mind (Name)." Lin gets up and leaves some money on the table.
You remain there , trying to piece together your racing taughts.
.
And just like Lin said,once it was time for Kuvira to back down and allow the prince to rise,she made the announcement that from then on the earth kingdom would be under her rule.
The rule of The Great Uniter.
This got you contemplating ever joining her,it doesn't feel right with you.
Bolin chose to stick around,but you wanted to leave. Being in a situation like this was too much for you.
"So you planned to just abandon me?" The person you didn't want to see the most right now was behind you, leaning on your door frame.
"This isn't right,Kuvira." You stated, covering your arms as you turn to see her.
"This is exactly what's right for the earth kingdom. I can't let that spoiled Prince destroy everything we accomplished." She pushed herself of the door way, moving closer to you.
"It doesn't feel right,I can't fight for something that doesn't feel right with me." Kuvira sighs. She places a hand on your shoulder. "I know what I'm doing,but I can't do it without you by my side. We accomplished so many great things together." She starts slowly guiding you towards a window. "Just look at how much good we did" her hands point at the window. "The land is safe again, raiders are not attacking innocent people or stealing. What more could you ask?" you look at one of the cities she got back and supplied,it looks at peace. What if she was right?
You bite your lip, "What happens with the people after we leave?" Her eyes meet yours,
"We give them a job, something to do to make the earth kingdom a better place,even the raiders."
Even if your gut tells you not to trust her,your mind reminds you of the great things she did so far. Kuvira never left you down.
"Are you telling the truth to me?"
She smiles, holding eye contact with you.
"Why would I lie?"
.
.
This is getting out of hand, Kuvira wants to attack Zaofu, Suyin's home simply for not obeying her terms.
"Kuvira this is madness,you can't do this!" You enter the command center ,she dismisses the people that were in the room, leaving you two alone.
"No. It's necessary for me to do this. Once Zaofu finally surrenders to me I get total control of the earth empire."
You scoff at her words.
"Do you even hear yourself?" Pacing around the room,you can't help but glance at her troops just outside.
"I thought you were with me on this, remember everything we fight for." Her armor slightly clangs as she walks towards you.
"I fight to make this world a better place,you fight to take control and rule and empire, excuse me but there's a difference." You move away from her,scoffing at the taught of helping her bring Zaofu down.
Kuvira glares at the back of your head.
"I'm doing this because no one else was willing to. And I have to make some tough choices that many wouldn't,why can't you see?" The tall woman runs a hand trough her hair, trying to calm herself down.
Now it all makes sense,Lin was right and you were stupid for doubting her.
"I'm leaving and you can't stop me. Not this time." She sighs, once you start moving towards the door, two of her metal bands parts push you to the wall,hands stuck above your head.
"Let me go."you glare at her trying to get away from her metal.
"I expected better from you." She shakes her head disappointed. You look around the room, trying to find a water source, yet nothing in sight.or reach
"Lock her up tight. Make sure she gets no visitors." Kuvira calls for two of her guards.as they take you away,you see the shrinking image of Kuvira's disappointed face.
.
.
.
You watch as Korra fights with Kuvira for your life,and Suyin's.
She got so much better,but there's still something wrong with her you just know it.
Kuvira seems to have the upper hand,until Korra knocks her down. She was so close,but she hesitates suddenly, giving Kuvira the opportunity to trap Korra.
"No!" You scream,Kuvira turns her head to look at you,a smile adorning her face. Looking around desperately,you see a little source of water, hopefully close enough to you.
You move your hands that are tied behind your back to use the water,creating a razor form to slice trough Kuvira's metal.
You take off running, attacking Kuvira with spikes of ice.
The metal bender pushes herself away from Korra , creating a shield for herself.
Kuvira Is pissed,how could you escape? Are her soldiers good for nothing at all? More importantly,what are you going to do?
You create a big ice shield that goes all around to fit you and Korra trough,finally getting to touch her after so long.
"Korra please get up!" You cradle her head in your arms as her upper body lays on your thighs (Kuvira is jelly~~) she opens her eyes,bright blue eyes you would lose yourself in.
"I came back for you." She smiles touching your face lightly,fearing you might be another one of her illusions. Your eyes whiden, smiling at her words
"I shouldn't have left you in the first place." A tear falls on her face (imagine Kuvira trying to break the ice while those two have their moment ☠️)
"I didn't mean anything I said that day,I'm so sorry,I didn't mean to send you away." Korra gets up,now on her knees ,face to face with you. Her hands cup your face, staring at you lovingly." I Love you." Hearing those words,you jump on Korra,giving her a big hug.
You sniff, smiling at her. "We should really focus on getting out of this situation now." Your voice cracks as you joke.
Korra stands up,ready to fight once more, her will stronger than ever.
.
.
.
I originally wanted to write something else,but this plot came so I just rolled with it. ┐( ˘_˘)┌

Best Friends! SatoSugu with Chubby Reader
A/N: Can yall tell I like starting new series without finishing the others?🌚 Megumi with Streamer! Chubby Reader will be out after this! I also did a lil headcanon for the thought of this series so I will insert that as well. But,please enjoy your Geto and Gojo being your close friends that has some...fantasies about you.
Tumblr media
Best Friends! Gojo and Geto who known you since your middle school days, befriending you the moment Shoko and Utahime introduced you
Best Friends! Gojo and Geto who followed the three of you to college because they wanted the group to stick together when in reality, Gojo's father was the dean of the school and Geto's parents are apart of the schoolboard, leaving them in power in case anything goes south with you or anyone that tries to harm you
Best Friends! Gojo and Geto who watch your every move because they will fuck up whoever talks about you because you're the most precious thing to walk this earth
Best Friends! Gojo and Geto who placed bets on who would get to fuck you first?
-----------------~Let the story begin~---------------
It's your first year of college and you were just excited to meet new people, try new things and expand your horizons. You were doing this with you four best friends in tow: Utahime, Shoko, Gojo and Geto. After high school, you came out your shell more because you didn't want people to think you were just some girl that was insecure about your body. That was the old Y/N, this new Y/N was bubbly and kind-spirited. For the new school year, you made all your friends come shopping with you for a new wardrobe and of course, they were all proud of your because of how much you changed since middle school.
Gojo and Geto first met you when Shoko introduced you to them in 7th grade. You were very shy and anxious, mainly clinging to Utahime until Shoko approached you one day. Since that interaction with Gojo and Geto, they became intrigued with you and welcomed you to their circle. As the years went by, you started warming up to the two guys, but that didn't mean you didn't receive hate from any of your peers. Girls that were obsessed with any attention from the two boys would call you fat, disgusting and ugly. They would laugh at you and talk about the way you looked in passing.
"Gosh, she looks like a pig," one would say.
"Aww, you made a new name for her! Piggy," the other would giggle back.
They would even go as far as lifting up your shirt, messing with your rolls calling you by that terrible nickname.
Finally, in your first year of high school, Gojo and Geto found out about bullying when they saw you crying in the courtyard, covered in food. You explained to them through your tears that the girl that had been liking Satoru for years, Asami, had poured her lunch on you and called you "trash". You don't know what was awoken in the two, but you saw a version of them that you didn't know that was hidden inside of them.
You didn't know the full details of what happened, but you do recall Asami being escorted off campus as you, Geto, and Gojo passed her. The girl maintained a silent glare at you, but she knew not to hold it too long because Asami could feel the heat of Gojo's and Geto's boiling anger. Since then, you deeply appreciate Satoru and Suguru, but you still have a deep fear of pissing them off.
Fast forward to your first day of college and you're already seeing things in your friend group that you saw in high school: sorority girls began hitting on Gojo and Geto whole you and Shoko went on your merry way. However, the blonde girl and her brunette friend were quickly shooed away once Gojo ended the conversation in the "nicest" possible.
"Can you believe it, Suguru? Those girls are already trying to fling themselves at us."
Geto just chuckled, "It's whatever. We're just new eye candy. Shoko, Y/N, would you like to attend the part with us tonight? It's for the incoming freshmen."
You beamed at them, "Sure, I don't mind! Shoko!..."
Shoko rolled her eyes as she lit her cigarette, "Fine, but you guys have to pay for my hangover food."
--------------------------------------------------------
Later that night, the four of you arrived at the party and you were already excited to get in. You wore a cute and simple black sundress for what you thought would be a chill occasion but it gave Project X vibes. You looked around as frat boys gathered around a table, chugging beer while some sorority girls were giggling at them. Outside the frat house laid drunk partygoers in pool floaties or just naked. You squeezed your way through the crowd, finding Utahime in a corner.
She hugged you and Shoko, "I didn't expect you guys to be here! It's nice to see you guys."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Shoko said sarcastically.
The three of you caught up with Utahime about how school life was treating her and after some time of dancing, you told your two friends that you would split and get you three some drinks. Maneuvering your way into the kitchen, you ended up bumping into a muscular guy, probably a sophmore or a junior .
"Sorry," you scampered over the loud music.
The man smirks at you, "It's okay. What are you drinking tonight, doll?"
The way he called you "doll" sent shives down your spine. It's bad enough he's sexy, but calling you such a sexually charged name made your stomach churn in a good way. He wore a tight fit black shirt, but you can say his muscles were struggling to stay contained. Then he wore gray sweatpants, only leaving your mind to wander. What a dangerous combo, don't even try and talk about his smile with the scar on his lip because you might get KO'ed.
"Three beers is all," you said as calm as possible.
He passed them to you and before leaving, he whispered in your ear.
"Name's Toji Fushiguro. Remember me, doll."
Toji walked back into the crowd, leaving you dumbfounded. You weren't the only one in shock about this situation, Shoko and Utahime saw everything . Their attention wasn't just on what happened either, but they were also looking at Gojo and Geto, shooting daggers at Toji the entire time.

After rewatching ATLA and rewatching the first couple episodes of Korra I'm always reminded of how much they fucked Korra over by training her inside a compound in the South Pole for thirteen years. I understand that they wanted to keep her safe from the Red Lotus but like. The Avatar is supposed to travel to the other nations to learn their element, but it's more than that: it's about travelling, learning the culture of each nation, their customs, meeting its people, its leaders-- that way, by the time the Avatar has mastered all elements, they also know how the world works, so they know how to protect it.
But Korra? She spent her entire childhood and teenage years locked up in a compound where she was watched all the time. She was only allowed to go out once a year for the Spirit Festival, and once she even had to escape to go because one of her teachers didn't wanna let her go. Her only friends were Katara, her parents and her polar bear dog; she didn't have any actual friends her age until she met Bolin, Mako and Asami.
Of course she struggled with airbending and her spiritual side: it's not just her personality, it's that air is the element of freedom, and she's been locked up with people constantly making decisions for her her entire life. She is just learning what freedom is like.
Of course she acted like that in Republic City in the first episode; it was her first time actually being out in the world. She doesn't know how it works, its rules or how its people struggle because she didn't get to even see it before! Of course she acted like that during ALL of Book 1. If Korra had travelled like she was supposed to, she would have probably acted like her Book 3 self by Book 1: still a teenager, still fierce and still kinda stubborn, but with a better understanding of the world and what being the Avatar means, and of who she is. But no. By raising her like that they strained both her training and her personal growth.

Jealous or Attracted? | KorrAsami x Reader Headcanons
Tumblr media
╰┈➤ PLOT: Headcanons of you figuring out your feelings for KorrAsami.
╰┈➤ WARNINGS: No Use of Y/n, Cursing, Not Proofread, Second POV, Lowercase Intended
Part Two | Part Three
⍣ ೋ Enjoy!⍣ ೋ
Tumblr media
– when you first met KorrAsami, they were dating each other.
– you already knew of Korra with her being the Avatar and everything and for Asami, you knew of her but only because of the drama that went down with her dad and Future Industries.
– you can't exactly remember how you met them, but you vaguely remember a party and Bolin, your closest friend, dragging you to it and insisting that you meet the rest of the Krew.
– Also, the fact that they call each other the "Krew" was so cute to you, you wanted in.
– and so there you saw Korra and Asami dressed in their best party wear, holding glasses of colored clear liquid and giggling with each other.
– At first, your stomach fizzed with butterflies but you assumed that was your jitters
– you didn't think the butterflies was because the two of them looked good enough to make your knees shake or your face burn. no, not at all!
– why would it anyways? You couldn't be attracted to a couple. that's weird. Like licking a flagpole and drinking a smoothie made of grass and boiled egg yolks. That's weird.
– and you weren't weird. (or at least not that weird).
– anyways, as the party went on, you got to know the two more.
– you got to know that Korra's a bit goofy and playful, that she isn't always the stubborn and hotheaded Avatar everyone knows her to be and you also figured out that Asami made her very shy, very easily.
– with how she acted towards the general public and threats, you thought Korra would be the one to make her significant other shy with flirts and cocky sentences, but it turns out that Asami was the one to. and she wasn't even flirting.
– Asami would give one smile and quip to Korra and the Avatar would melt like ice cream on a hot summer's day. It was cute, honestly but also made you ick on the inside.
– you didn't know why. you had nothing against the two and PDA, but seeing them flirt with each other gave you a certain pang in your chest.
– after the party's events, you found yourself getting closer and closer to the "Krew".
– you weren't close enough to consider yourself a part of Team Avatar but enough to be considered Team Avatar's friend.
– when you hung out with the Krew, you would linger around KorrAsami. Wherever they went, you went.
– Bolin teased you about this, naturally, being your best friend and all, but you denied the allegations he tried to make. --
"You have a crush on them!" "Please, I do not. I'm hanging out with them because i want to get to know them more. That's all."
"But you even laugh at their jokes. You never laugh at Mako's and I's."
"That's because you and Mako aren't funny."
"And Korra and Asami are?"
"Precisely." --
– And it was true. You didn't have a crush on them and they were funny.
– Korra and Asami have this type of humor that's unique to them. They feed off of each other and often make snarky remarks about inside jokes or shared experiences. Being a part of that was an accomplishment in its own.
– something would happen when you guys were out and about and you would share the same look.
– the only times the jokes got "bad" was when someone made the other laugh a bit louder than usual.
– like one time Korra made Asami laugh so loud and hard that she cried with a red face.
– the feeling that stirred in your stomach wasn't pretty. it was like whatever you had for lunch curdled and violently punched you in the gut over and over and over again.
– you would seethe every once and a while. Why was Korra making her girlfriend laugh upsetting you? It shouldn't matter what she does. She's her girlfriend and has the right to make her laugh. It would probably be more concerning if Asami laughed harder at your jokes.
– Right?
– It would be great to make Asami laugh like that though. Her sparkling green eyes come to a close as her eyes squint. Her hand would politely cover her lips with a hooked finger, further pushing the elegant and proper look she's made of herself. And even though her blush does this for her already, her cheeks would be redder from how hard you made her laugh.
– Isn't that normal for a homie to want? It was normal to want to share that experience with Korra; making Asami laugh. These were all normal things. Right?
– It had to be. It's what you thought about at night. Making Asami laugh, making Korra shy, holding their hands and nuzzling your nose against their cheeks. That's all very normal things to think about when it comes to your friends.
– you never thought that way about Mako or Bolin of course. They were like siblings to you so, they were sibling pretty. Not the weak-in-the-knees-heart-racing-platonic-pretty Korra and Asami were.
– Well, Bolin didn't think so. Deny all you want, say what you want, but he saw the way you looked at them.
– He saw how your eyes light up when they come over to talk to you or how cutely small and shy you'd get when they hug you at the same time. He saw how you would point them out in everything you see, even if you're not with them.
– Bolin knows you and apparently, he knows you better than you know yourself.
– He knew you so well that he could tell when you were jealous and he could tell when you were attracted.
– when you were jealous: when their PDA gets too much, when they walk away together, when they make inside jokes, when they call each other "babe", and when they prefer each other over anyone else in the Krew.
– when you were attracted: when their attention is on you, when they talk to you one-on-one (mano-y-mano as Bolin referred), when they would hug you or take you out as a trio, when they compliment you, when they spring into action or act serious, and so much more that Bolin could write a whole book about your attraction towards the pair.
– Honestly, Bolin understood the attraction. He had a crush on Korra once. Mako too! In fact, everyone in the Krew had a crush on her so the fact that you had a crush on her (and her girlfriend) just met you're officially a part of their friend group now. Yay!
– now, Bolin never told you that he's aware of the crush you had on the pair but he would hint at it with suspicious winks, wiggles of his brows, and jokes that confused everyone else but you.
– "Yeah, red and blue sure are attractive colors, huh?" then he'd nudge you and you would freeze with a nervous smile.
– Mako, Asami, and Korra would have no clue what Bolin meant. Especially since they were talking about imprisoning war criminals when Bolin blurted. But hey, randomness is what Bolin is known for.
– A couple of weeks after that incident, you finally came to terms with yourself. You had to, the jealousy was getting too much that the girls were picking up on it.
--
"Whoa, you good?" Korra chuckled, noticing your glare after she kissed Asami's cheek. "You're uh, looking angrier than Mako on a good day." On a good day, you would tease her back but the feelings were too much.
The thoughts of holding them, kissing them (and not just on the cheek), and spending time with them was overwhelming and taking over every fiber of your being.
You couldn't watch them interact with each other without a firey burning in your chest and the clench of your fists. Also, you're pretty sure you've shaved a couple of centimeters off your teeth from all the teeth grinding you've been doing.
The girls have been giving you curious looks when you would glare in their direction. They'd awkwardly look at each other and then get away from your gaze to avoid confrontation.
Korra and Asami never assumed you were the type to judge their love, they didn't get that vibe from you, so it was a nerving surprise you got angry whenever they showcased public displays of affection.
"Yeah." You eased your shoulders from your ears. "I'm fine. Sorry. Just stressed."
"You must be chronically stressed then," Asami spoke as she slung an arm around Korra's shoulders. Your lips tensed at the sight. "Because you're always making faces or scowling nowadays."
"Yeah, you're doing it now actually," pointed Korra. You eased your lips again. Damn, it's like second nature to tense up or scowl whenever you see them interact. That wasn't healthy. At all.
These are your friends. By the expressions on their faces, you can see they're getting uncomfortable holding each other around you. Asami slowly moved her arm away from Korra with a frown and they tried not to show it, but they held each other's hands behind their backs.
Your friends had to hide their true selves from you because you're too afraid to admit your feelings.
Is this what you want? For them to be afraid and think you're someone or something you're not? Of course not. It was time to face the music. You have a crush on Korra and Asami.
Now, what are you going to do about it?
To be continued. | WC: 1,570

So one of my mutual on twitter was saying that it seems like in Western animated shows (a part from a general lack of queer romances) FF romances have higher numbers than MM. Because I wanted to check, I made a list so I thought it would be nice to share both FF and MM romances in Western animation, so people know where to find them!! (mm ships here)
These are all canon and I only added romances between main or very present secondary characters. I avoided stuff like background couples or "they gave her a girlfriend in the last episode" kind of stuff. Tho, I did not watch all these shows, so keep in my that for some of them I am using online info.
There will be SPOILERS (especially for: Did they kiss? Did they end up together?)
In order (top to bottom, left to right):
Miriam and Hira (Dragon Age Absolution): Ex-girlfriends who reconnect. Miriam is the protagonist and Hira one of the protagonists. Do they kiss? Yes. But at the end they break up but not because they are not in love with each other's, they still are very much in love (I still really enjoyed it, for the longing and the angst). Uncertain if there will be a season two that will continue their story.
Vi and Cait (Arcane): Complete show (two season). Vi and Cait are both protagonists and their relationship is the main romance of the show. They meet in season 1 and the romance progress pretty quickly. There is a break up in the middle, but it only makes the heart grow fonder! Do they kiss? Yes, they do much more. They do it all! They also have a happy ending!
Amaya and Janai (The Dragon Prince): Final season coming out soon. Amaya is one of the main characters since S1, Janai is introduced in S3 and then becomes one of the main cast. S3 is also when their romance start and when they meet. Enemies to lovers, enemies who flirt!! And then lovers! Do they kiss? Yes. They marry, in fact. Their story continues through the rest of the whole show, and all the adventures are never "Amaya vs Janai" but them working together as a couple and facing adversity. They are the second main romance of the show.
Korra and Asami (Legend of Korra): I mean, this is a classic. The romance was fought for by the creators, and the series ended with a "vague romance ending" as a form of censorship. Do they kiss? not in the show, but comics continue their story. Still, you can see their relationship progress in the show (from their first meeting to their romance ending), and I thank the comicbooks every single day or people would insist they are just friends.
Charlie and Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel): One season is out, another in the making. Charlie and Vaggie start as already in a relationship and are girlfriends since episode one. They are the main relationship in the show, and their romance is mainly about them facing adversities together (and romance troubles at one point). Do they kiss? Yes. And they sing love songs about and to each other's too.
Marceline and Bubblegum (Adventure Time): another wlw romance that was fought for and I think almost got censored! They are both part of the recurring secondary cast. I need a rewatch of this show (completed show btw) because there are so many hints when you get through the episodes knowing that Marceline and Bubblegum are having this rivals-animosity-girlfriend-flirting-breakup(they are supposedly exes!)-reconciliation romance in and off screen. Do they kiss? Yes, at the end! They do have an explicit happy ending and end up together! They are also shown happily together in the completed special sequel Adventure Time: Distant Lands.
Harley and Poison Ivy (Harley Quinn): Ongoing DC series, Harley is the protagonist and Ivy a main character. They start as friends and begin dating at the end of season 2. I have not watched the show, but I know that they are still together and they do kiss multiple times!
Adora and Catra (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power): Complete series that ends up with an explicit canon romance (and kiss!) and a happy ending! I have yet to watch it (I NEED TO), but I know that the series introduce them as childhood friends turned enemies and then has an enemies to lovers arc! Also Adora is the protagonist and Catra a main character.
Amity and Luz (The Owl House): I have not watched this, sorry! There might be other queer main ships in this show that I am not aware of. I just know that Luz is the protagonist and Amity a main character. The show is complete and they do have a happy ending. Do they kiss? Yes!
Bean and Mora (Disenchantment): Bean is the protagonist and Mora a secondary character, their relationship develops in S3 and S4 (the show is complete). I did not finish this yet, so I have yet to encounter Mora. Do they kiss? Yes. And they are also endgame!
Ruby and Sapphire (Stephen Universe): I am sorry, I know nothing about this show! I just know that are among the main characters cast, they do have a happy ending, they marry and they kiss!
Zarya and Kitty (Mysticons): Sadly, I think this ship fell to censorship. I have not watched the show, but from what I gather they were supposed to kiss (there is a cut scene with a kiss), but the show only aired a more vague ending for them. They seem to be only hinted through S1 and S2, and even if they explicitly say "I love you", most of the wiki I found calls them "childhood friends" only.
Luna and Sam (The Loud House): another show I am not familiar with, all I know is that they are canon! And Luna is a main character. I am unsure how much the show focuses on their relationship, but I know they explicitly date and then become girlfriends!
Batwoman and Renee (Batman Bad Blood): This is an animated movie with Kate (Batwoman) as the protagonist. Her and Renee do not end up together but they are on a date (explicitly a date!) at the start. Sadly I am not familiar with DC, but from what I gathered they did/do have a relationship in some comics too.
Beckett and Jennifer (Star Trek: Lower Decks): Sadly they do not have an endgame status or happy ending, and they break up in the show (but remain friends). Still, they do date (and kiss!) in at least two season.
Kelsey and Stacks (Craig of the Creek): Kelsey is a main character and Stacks seems to be a secondary character. They are both very young (9 or 10 years old!) and confirmed girlfriend, but I do not know more.
Red Action and Enid (OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes): Another show I am not familiar with! What I know is that Enid is a main character and Red Action part of the main cast too. They are confirmed as girlfriend in S3, they do kiss and they are still together at the end!
Catwoman and Batwoman (Catwoman Hunted): I am cheating a bit because this is technically an anime (Japanese animation) but based on DC, so I decided to add them anyway. This is a movie. Catwoman is the protagonist and Batwoman a main character. They do seem to have a flirting relationship, there is an almost kiss, but technically only for distracting Batwoman.

“ Once upon a time, I was falling in love, but now I’m only falling apart.
Tumblr media
Blue eyes wandered around the landscape with such fascination, you were so immersed in your own thoughts about the city that didn't realize when the group stopped by a big salon, your body bumped with Mako.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Shit, sorry...! Where are we?” you asked to the bender, clearly you didn't pay attention to anything said before.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Meeting the mother of the airbender.” he said making you face the other way were some metalbenders were doing a choreography.
Now you stood still watching the dance unfold right infront of you. You were so amazed at the way they used the metal to catch people and how easy it looked to bend.
At the final stand, your sight got caught by one of the girls at the very top, even from afar you could spot a little dot below her left eye.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Let's take a break, everyone!” you heard the matriarch say and giggle a little bit at how fast everyone scatter.
Your eyes followed the girl and Kuvira could feel your gaze in her, so when she turned around to get a glance of who was looking at her your hand waved timidly.
Korra called your name when she saw you distracted, her head made a movement about going out of there and you were quick to follow.
It was safe to say that now the metalbender was all you could think of, you went with the team to the city in a mission to meet the new airbender and take her to the north with the rest of the nomads, but that was all. You couldn't do much as a waterbender in a city made of metal, so you went wandering around the place, still mesmerized with the architecture.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Hey!” you smiled at the captain when both paths bumped each other. “You're the one in the dance group, aren't you?”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Kuvira.” the soldier presented herself, you said your name back. “You're the one that came with the avatar.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I am, she's with Su's daughter right now.” you explained, tilting your head to the left. “And I wanted to explore a little bit...” both your hands went to your back, you didn't lose anything trying to shoot your shot, right? “Do you know any good guide that could show me around?”
Kuvira looked confused for a good second, she couldn't seriously don't catch that. “I thought Aiwei showed you around.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I mean... Not really, he showed us like two places at best.” you said, shrugging. “Just if you can, maybe you can show me around?”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Oh...” you saw the girl's cheeks change to the most subtle tone of pink, her head moved trying to hide it. “Well, right now I'm on duty, but..”
She stood in silence, thinking for a bit while your bottom lip was trapped between your teeth for what felt almost an eternity.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “How about at dawn we meet at the door of your dorm?” she finally said, you nodded way too fast for your liking.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Would love to!” your smile grew being met with one smile of hers, a little bit smaller. “See you at dawn, then.”
She made a little bow which you reciprocated and both continue each respective way.
The rest of the day you were humming a melody while walking around, sitting down or even just existing. Your friends were quick to catch up your change of acting. The first one to point it out was the avatar.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Spill it, what got you so happy?” she asked once your group was alone, Asami giggled.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Not what, who got her happy? Is the real question.” the inventor corrected the girl, Korra opened her mouth surprised looking back at you after looking at Asami.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “No one!” you started, trying to hide a smile, a couple seconds where needed for you to get closer to the girls. “Okay, there's this girl in the guard team...” your friends assemble with you, Bolin taking place beside the non bender, interested too in what was said about your new crush.
Mako rolled his eyes funnily before getting pulled in by his brother.
Now that your friends knew, you totally regretted it when the time came and you were waiting for Kuvira... with the rest of the team at your back. At the very sight of the metalbender, you were so quick to get water out of the container you always carry on you and threw it at them gaining a small scream from the earthbender and some grunts from the fire nation pair. A mufled 'bitch!' was said by the avatar in a friendly way, everyone went inside to hide giggling when they heard the captain greet you. Clearly peaking out the window, fighting each other in whispers and dropping to the floor when Kuvira almost got them in the act.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I'm sorry if I made you wait too long, there were some matters I needed to take care of.” she excused herself, you were quick to shake your head.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Don't worry!” you almost shouted, blinking a couple times before clearing your throat. “I mean, uhh, it's okay, let's go.”
Almost in a desperate manner, you took Kuviras wrist and made her walk with hurry away from your friends, you already knew they would make fun of you.
The first ten minutes were a bit uncomfortable for both parties, Kuvira would point a spot and tell you the history behind it and you would nod while looking at her instead of where she pointed, but you making questions about them was what made the metalbender relax in your presence and once you felt that from her, you relaxed too.
At one point of the night, Kuvira led both of you to a viewpoint in the city, the moon was starting to rise in-between the mountains surrounding the valley and the captain stopped right at the handrail.
She stopped your talking about how the night started to feel cool and pointed for you to look: they were closing the domes, your mouth opened amazed at the view of big pieces of metal rise on your surrounding and close on top like a cocoon would. While looking up you walked backwards and bumped into the dark haired making her laugh in low voice, her arms got you so you wouldn't fall.
Once the show was over you turned to the body next to you and took a step back from her almost embarrassed, Kuvira stopped her hands from looking for you again. “Sorry, heh, I don’t have good balance while looking up.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “It's okay...” she murmured smiling a little bit, her hands rubbed against each other before putting them behind her back. “I think that's all the history and places of Zaofu that I can teach you so far.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “It was great,” you confessed, your body looked to sit on the handrail, moving your feet in the air. “You should be a tour guide, it suits you.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I'm okay being a captain.” she said after laughing at your idea, you smiled big. “Want me to walk you back?”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Let's stay a little bit more, yeah?” you requested leaning on your hands. Kuvira nodded before starting a new conversation.
The next couple of days were mere chaos for everyone since the infiltration of the Red Lotus, so you and Kuvira saw each other less and less, but everytime both were in the same area she would wink at you and you would smile back or vice-versa. Before leaving the metal clan to follow Aiwei on his plan you left a note for Kuvira on her hand on your way out and waved her goodbye without saying a word.
“I had fun with you this days, call me when all of this is over. ;)” followed by your land-line number and your name as signature.
If you were honest, the following days were a big blur in your memory. Fighting some crazy powerful benders and seeing your best friend so close to dying got the best of you, but you were so glad to have all of your friends alive and well.
A couple of weeks passed and after Jinora's ceremony and Korra's departure to the south, you received Kuvira's call.
You were so happy when you heard her voice again, the feeling was the same from her side. The first call would be filled with silence and some other typical question from the other, but both of you dragged it as much as you could to not hang up so quickly.
The next calls were more interactive, she would tell you about her day and you would tell her about yours, the thoughts on your mind, her descriptions about training or dance practice, both promising to visit the other as soon as possible.
But it didn’t last long.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “You... You want to unify the Earth Kingdom?” you asked stopping your pace in your apartment, on one hand you had the phone's base and the other the phone close to your ear.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Someone has to.” she said, on her end you could hear noises of people walking and talking about loading stuff. “Bataar and I are going to take the role on that since Suyin is too self-centered to do so.”
Your body had moved to the closest sofa and you sat down in there while bitting your nail. “Are you sure about this? It could... I don’t know, be a bad idea? There are way too many bandits in every state. They will eventually choose a monarch, no? They can handle it.”
A deafing silence filled the line, Kuvira sighed.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I knew you wouldn't understand it, your nation is not the one on the verge of falling apart.” her voice hardened, you blinked surprised. You tried to call for her by name. “I have to go, there are things I need to do.”
And she hung up leaving you with a frown while looking at the phone.
That was the last you knew about her, you tried to call her back but only got through Bataar and when asking about the metalbender he would just say she wasn't there and hang up.
Weeks passed, everyone started on their own things and you could only get more worried about the girl. You knew Bolin got into her team and you thought that if maybe he was there it meant that the situation couldn't be that bad, right?
Wrong, as the time passed by you only heard bad to worse things about Kuvira. They called her the great uniter and with that name you heard about the way she would make the states surrender to her. After three years you had totally gave up on having contact with her, but you continue to have contact with Bolin, after all he was one of your best friends and you wanted to know about him.
He would tell you about the train, the destinations and how Kuvira was doing in a "discreet" way since he knew about how you liked her, Bolin was lucky to not be near you when you read those parts.
On the day of the coronation, you were in the north water tribe with your family; you've been living there after the second year with the excuse that your parents needed help at home and it would also give you time to breath familiar air with the whole team dispersed, but your peace wouldn't last much as you heard on the radio news about how Kuvira named herself the leader of the new Earth Empire.
It took a call from Mako saying how they needed all hands on deck to stop Kuvira to get you back in Republic City. Bolin was in charge to update you with everything after you greeted everyone with a hug.
You couldn’t believe how the ex–captain got so power-hungry to the point of initiating a dictatorship, you felt as she was a completely different person to the one you met at Zaofu.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “You need to talk to her.” you heard the detective say, snapping you out of your thoughts.
After blinking for a moment and digest Mako's words, you frowned. “Why me? Korra should try to talk to her again.” you pointed to the shorthaired one.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Because she's crazy about you.” Asami said in a almost funny tone. “Bolin told us how she would ask him all the time how you were doing.”
Your eyes shot to the earthbender, clearly he hid that from you, the boy tried to shrink himself in his place.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “She used to say she wanted to talk to you and try to make you part of the army somehow, I used to tell her that it was a crazy idea because you are a waterbender and the army was all earthbenders... and Varrick, but he was the engineer and she would say that you could be her right hand at everything and–” his word vomit got interrupted by the avatar.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “See?” the other waterbender took your hands into hers. “Try it, for us... For the city, we don't have too many options and I know you still care about her.”
Korra said that last part with such caution, trying to not get a bad reaction from your side, expectant to your gestures and face. You were static in your place, how could you do that? It was true, you didn’t disagree with the avatar, you still cared for Kuvira. After all, the time shared with her was one that you always thought about when you felt nostalgic, she made you feel good, you had discovered feelings you didn’t thought you ever had with anyone ever and it did hurt seeing how the earthbender changed for worst.
Your hands squeezed the ones holding them and a faint smile appeared on your face.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Okay, I'll try it..” a cheer burst in the room by your friends.
You were amazed at how fast they got Kuvira on the line ready to talk to you, with everyone at your back you took the radio on your hand and cleared your throat. She talked first, calling you by your name.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Hey, you.” you said, nervously and bitting your inner cheek. You would never know, but she softened at the sound of your voice, thankfully she was alone. “It's been so long, huh?”
A small giggled left her mouth and you got goosebumps at the sound. “It has... I'm sorry at how I ended things.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “You don't have to apologize, Kuvira, I'm just glad you're okay..” you said in a whisper, there was silence then, you were thinking and she was waiting for you. Korra poked your side making you wiggle a bit, saying non-verbally that you needed to start. “But you are in time to stop your plan.”
She sighed exhausted, shaking her head a little bit. “I knew this was about the unification.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Kuvira, you need to stop.” the avatar tried to jump in, your arm stopped her from taking the radio off your hand.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “...Can we talk privately? Just the two of us.” she talked to you, saying your name at the end. You turned to your friends who were looking over your shoulder expectant.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I got this,” you assured the group with a smile. “Please leave us alone, it will be fine.”
Everyone was hesitant about leaving, but finally let you by your own with only the radio.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Kuvira, please, think this through.” you started once they left the room.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Join me.” she spat suddenly, taking the words out of you. “Be my right hand in the unification.”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Kuvira... I don’t—”
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “Rule the Earth Empire with me.” she interrupted. “There was not a day I didn’t imagine us together ruling the empire, of us being together.”
Your mind turned blank at what was said, she didn’t stop thinking of you. Just like you didn’t stop thinking of her...
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “I would give my army if that means you will be with me in this new era for my nation.” Your eyes were dancing everywhere, looking for something that could give you answers. “Please, primrose, be my consort. Rule with me.”
The nickname and title said threw you out of yourself.
You were ashamed to say there was a part of you considering the offering, but how could you do that to your friends? to Republic City? Your feelings for Kuvira were strong, but were they that intense to betray everyone else? To betray the friends who lend you their hand when you needed them? Those who you have gone through hell and heaven with, the ones on the other side of the door waiting for you to have an answer for them, the group of people that wanted to save a whole city and called you in because they knew it would work out with you there as well.
After giving her your answer you stopped the communication and went to open the door, making the four fall at your feet as they were over the door trying to listen. “Oh, hey, how are ya?” Bolin asked like nothing.
‍ ‍ ‍ ‍‍ “And? How it went?” Korra asked once she got back on her own feet, one look at your expression and she knew something was wrong with you. “What happened? Are you okay?”
You nodded and breath in deep before breaking the news. “We need to get ready to defend the city.”
Even though your feelings for the girl were strong, they didn’t blind you to follow her in the dark. With the hurt of your heart, you had to stopped her, even if that meant that what you two had would disappear.

satoru gojo x f!reader
megumi thanks you and satoru for everything you’ve done
content: megumi + oc child, FLUFF, just sweet little wholesome family moment at graduation, lil family dynamics
an: based on a very cute family I saw while working graduation a few weeks ago. realized ive been giving no attention to my man gojo while I draft the longer fic so I will revive an unfinished draft. not proofread.
“Asami, stop ringing the cowbell. Your Megumi-nii is going to be here any second.”
You feel her tug on the end of your skirt and you look down to meet her crystal blue eyes, no cowbell in sight.
“That’s not me, Mama.”
You turn your neck to find Satoru standing on the platform, shaking the cowbell over his head. Megumi’s going to kill him. If you don’t get to him first. You grab his arm and yank him down, pinching the end of his ears in your fingers.
“Ow ow ow. Quit it.”
“What are you doing?”
“Trying to find Megumi, love! I would have used the air horn but Asami lost it.”
He reaches down, tickling her by the sides as she laughs out in protest. You pull them both in front of you, scolding the two of them under their breaths as you fix their outfits. Satoru’s tie was off center, Asami’s skirt was riding up, their matching white hair unruly. Before you can fix it, Satoru grabs your hand in the air, locking his fingers with yours.
“This is worse than when he was in the school play. You’d think he was getting married by the way you were acting.”
“Shut up. This is a big deal for him, I don’t want him to think we’re not taking it seriously.”
“You printed out minute by minute itineraries on how we were all going to get here. I think he knows you take this seriously, my sweet.”
He leans forward, pressing a kiss to the top of your head as he fixes your hair, pushing it behind your ears. You give him one last eye roll, before standing on the tips of your toes to find Megumi in the crowd. The graduates had started coming out, other families wrapping their arms around each other.
“Megumi-nii!”
Asami spots him first, her tiny little legs running up to where Megumi was standing. She wraps her legs around his knees, catching him off guard as he breaks out of the conversation he was having. You watch him crouch down and pick up Asami, as you and Satoru excitedly walk up and crush him in a hug.
“Alright, alright. Calm down.”
Satoru reaches forward and ruffles his hair, the same way he had been doing since the two of you first got Megumi, all but knocking the cap off of his head.
“Congratulations Doctor Megumi. Don’t kill anyone, okay? Y/N and I love you very much but we have no interest in helping you hide bodies anymore.”
The couple standing to your side give you a weird look before walking across the courtyard. You reach forward, pushing Satoru out of the way as you readjust Megumi’s dark green hood, his cords, and his cap. He gives you a thankful smile - one that you’ve seen hundreds of times over the years, whenever you save him from Satoru’s pestering. Which was often.
“This is a…big deal. Satoru’s just being silly.”
You give him a smile before taking the flowery lei out of the plastic box and handing it to Satoru. You watch Satoru jokingly smack Megumi with the flowers, before placing them around his neck and ruffling his hair, nicely this time.
“You guys didn’t have to.”
You crush his hand in yours, squeezing twice as Asami runs in little circles around your legs.
“Of course, we did. I know we joke about it, but you really are our first kid. We wouldn’t miss this for the world.”
He gives the two of you a smile, reaching to pick up Asami, who had been pulling on the end of his gown for the past five minutes. Satoru wraps his arm around you, leaning his head against yours as the two of you try your best not to cry at the sight of your two kids, smiling at each other.
“We’re really proud of you, Megumi.”
Satoru’s words make the tears well in your eyes and you crush him into a hug again. Asami’s still crushed in between the two of you, her tiny voice muffled by your arms. He pulls back, putting Asami on the ground as he nervously runs his hand through his hair.
“Ah, right. Um.”
“Something wrong, Megs?”
“No Y/N. It’s just- I wanted to thank you guys. I really couldn’t have done it without you.”
Megumi pulls the graduation cap off of his head and secures it on top of Asami’s little ponytails, poking the side of her cheek before standing up to face the two of you. Your face hurts from smiling, seeing your two favorite people being sweet together.
“Megumi.”
“You guys did so much for me when I was younger, and I never really made it easy for you. This is my achievement just as much as it is yours.”
Megumi swipes the cords off his neck and swings them around your neck. He does the same with his gown, zipping it off and holding it out for Satoru to stick his arms in. By the way he’s looking at you, you know that you and Satoru are a mess. Cheeks pink, makeup smudged, tears running down your cheeks.
“You guys are corny. Stop crying.”
You take his face in his hands, squishing his cheeks.
“When did you become so grown? You literally slept in my bed till you were fourteen and now you’re acting so mature and grown up and-”
You feel Satoru’s hands curl around your wrist, pulling your hands off of his face. He lets go, lifting his hands to your face to swipe the tears off your cheeks. He gives Megumi a smile, beckoning for him to go talk to his friends who were waiting at the side. He takes Asami by the hand, introducing them to Nobara and Itadori as they all walk down the courtyard. He turns his head back to you, the tears still pouring out of your eyes.
“Are you done yet crybaby?”
“How are you not crying? Megumi grew up.”
He wraps his arms around you, pressing soft kisses to your hair as you watch Itadori and Asami play a very intense game of rock paper scissors a few feet away from you.
“Asami’s not going to stay a baby, you know. And when you’re the one crying about it, I’ll be the one laughing at you.”
“That won’t be a problem. We can just make another one!”
 You smack him as Asami runs back over, followed closely by Megumi. “Ready to go, Mama?”
Satoru nods, picking her up and dragging her back to your car as you link your arms with Megumi and follow the two of them.
“You know, Satoru’s just as sentimental about this as I am. He’s just trying to act cool.”
“He’s worse than you. I asked him to fix my tie this morning and he had a whole meltdown.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah. Went on and on about how I made you two parents, about how I’m Asami’s big brother so I have to come back and take care of her, how I can’t forget you guys.”
You look up to find Satoru hanging Asami in the air by her ankles, the two of them laughing as he swings her in the air. You shove your head against Megumi’s shoulder, linking your arm through his.
“What a sap.”

Korrasami Week 2024 - Free Day
Summary: Korra accidentally mixes up her schedule, leaving her on airkid babysitting duty the same night she's meant to go on a date with Asami. Chaos ensues.
Word count: 4613
----
“Hm…” Korra brushes her fingers through her hair again, lower lip pouting in concentration. “Do you think this is too much?”
From her perch on her bed, Ikki shakes her head emphatically. “No way. You look so beautiful, I bet Asami is gonna pass out when she sees you!”
Korra grimaces a bit at her reflection in the mirror. “I don’t think making her pass out is exactly the kind of impression I’m going for, Ikki.”
The young airbender ignores the comment, bouncing off the bed to stand at Korra’s side. She spends a long moment examining Korra’s outfit every which way, before stepping back and stroking her chin thoughtfully – not unlike the way her father strokes his beard in the same motion. “Actually, you could probably use something more.”
“More?” Korra snorts, “Really? I feel like this is already a lot.”
“No, trust me, you need more,” Ikki replies, pushing Korra backwards and forcing her to sit down on the bed. “I know these things. Aunt Kya let me help her get ready for her date with Chief Beifong the other day. I know just what you need!”
Korra isn’t entirely sure if she should be putting her date night appearance entirely in the hands of a twelve year old, but the swirling in her stomach won’t let her relax. She and Asami haven’t seen each other in days, and haven’t had a proper date in weeks. She knows Asami won’t mind what she wears, but her girlfriend always looks so stunning when they go out, and Korra wants to try and make her feel the same way.
“Here we go!” Ikki, who had used the time Korra was lost in her thoughts to rummage around in her dresser, now triumphantly brandishes a large makeup palette in both hands. “I knew Asami left one of these over here at some point.”
Korra’s stomach flips again. “Makeup? I don’t know, Ikki, I’m not very good at that stuff, not the way Asami is –”
“You’re not putting it on by yourself,” Ikki admonishes. “That’s what I’m here for! Now, close your eyes and let the master work…”
A quick glance at a nearby clock confirms another one of Korra’s fears: she’s running out of time. Arguing with Ikki will take too long, so instead she braces herself for what she might see in the mirror afterwards, and closes her eyes.
The chatterbox airbender falls silent for the first time all day as she works, gently blotting and swiping different powders onto Korra’s face with surprising precision. A few strokes over her cheekbones, some soft taps against her eyelids, a smear of gloss over her lips, and…
“Done. Do you like it?”
Korra’s eyelashes flutter as she parts them, peering back at herself in the mirror. She looks… good. Really good, actually.
Ikki glances up at her, eyes wide, still silent. She opens her mouth to speak, but Korra sweeps her into a hug before she can. “It looks fantastic, Ikki. Thank you.”
The clock on the dresser chimes for the half hour mark, breaking their embrace. Korra stands up, brushing her dress off in an attempt to keep it as smooth as possible. “Alright, time to go. Thanks again for helping me get ready.”
Ikki vaults off the bed, voice restored. “No problem! Let me get my shoes and then I’ll be ready to go too!”
“Go too – wait, what?” Korra tries to call after her, but Ikki is already out the door, sprinting down the hallway to her own bedroom. “Ikki, what do you mean, go too?”
“Mom and Dad’s meeting with President Moon is tonight, remember?” Korra bites back a shout of surprise, whirling around to stand face to face with Jinora, who has seemingly appeared out of thin air.
“Meeting with the president…” Her stomach drops. “Oh no.”
Jinora’s mouth tightens into an awkward grimace. “You forgot, didn’t you?”
Korra responds with a grimace in kind, voice panicked and soft. “I did.” Things have been so busy lately, keeping her away from her girlfriend, that she jumped at the offer of a date without bothering to check, well, the date. And now she’s double booked herself.
“Are your parents still here?” Korra asks desperately.
“They left half an hour ago,” Jinora replies.
“What about the air acolytes?”
Another wince from the teenager. “Dad gave them the night off because you said you’d watch us.”
“Jinora, Asami and I have a table for two booked at Kwong’s Cuisine. How am I supposed to fit four more people there? Not to mention, it’s a date.”
“I can stay behind if you want,” Jinora offers, voice a bit too even for Korra’s liking.
She narrows her eyes. “Didn’t Kai just get back from a relief trip yesterday?”
The blush on the younger girl’s face gives her away instantly. “Maybe.”
Korra sighs, placing a hand on Jinora’s shoulder. “Nice try, kiddo, but not a chance. If your dad found out I left his fifteen year old daughter unsupervised on the island with her boyfriend… I think you’d have to start searching for the next Earth Avatar.”
“That’s not fair, though!” Jinora protests, “You’re getting to spend time with you partner, why can’t I?”
“Because I am an adult,” Korra reminds her, “And you are not. Besides, with you four around it’s not like we’ll get to spend any time alone. Speaking of - Ikki, Meelo, Rohan, let’s go!”
Jinora huffs, crossing her arms in the universal symbol of teenage frustration. Korra lets her, remembering how she was doing the same thing only a few years ago. The other kids emerge from their rooms at her call, thankfully looking put together enough that she can haul them over to the ferry.
Or, wait – Rohan’s shoes are untied.
“Is everyone ready?” Korra asks, heading over to the youngest of the airbending children to help with his shoe situation.
“I gotta tie my shoes first,” Rohan pipes up, plopping himself onto the floor and grabbing at his laces.
“Here, let me help –”
“No Korra, I can do it by myself!” The five year old insists. Korra bites the inside of her cheek, trying to keep her cool. Normally she wouldn’t have an issue waiting for Rohan to tie his own shoes, but they’re on a time crunch tonight.
“Rohan, we need to go. Let me just tie your shoes real quick.”
“I can do it!” He repeats, scooting away from Korra’s grasp. Slowly, moving at what must be a tortoise-slug’s speed, he pulls his laces tight and begins the delicate process of making a neat bow.
Korra watches intently as Rohan ties his first shoe, and then starts on the other. The second shoe seems to pose more of a challenge, the boy sticking his tongue out in concentration, fingers clumsy and tangling. They’re going to be here all night at this rate.
“The right shoe is always harder,” Rohan complains, and yet when Korra offers once again to help, he rejects her outright, once again demanding he be allowed to do it on his own.
Then, to Korra’s utter devastation, the horn of the ferry waiting at the dock trills – once, twice, signalling the boat pulling out to make its journey back across the bay.
The three older kids wince in unison. Korra wants to slam her head against the wall, regretting every decision she’s ever made. She missed the ferry. There won’t be another for a few hours. Making it to this date is seeming less likely by the minute.
“Got it!” Rohan cheers, breaking the tension. He launches himself upwards and kicks his feet, showing off his shoelaces: two perfect bows, tied all by himself.
“That’s great, Rohan,” Korra praises weakly. The five year old beams, surging forward to grab her hand, none the wiser to the dilemma now facing her.
“Maybe I should just call Asami and reschedule,” she mumbles. Nevermind she hasn’t laid eyes on her girlfriend in nearly a week.
“You can’t reschedule!” Ikki gasps, “You spent so much time getting ready!”
“I know, but we’re already late and –”
“We can take Pepper,” Jinora offers quietly, lifting the visage of teenage angst for a moment.
“Yes, yes, let’s take Pepper,” Ikki agrees. She grabs Korra’s free hand, tugging her and Rohan along behind her. “Besides, I read in this magazine that ladies should arrive to dates fashionably late. The writer said it’s good to build tension.”
“What magazines?” Jinora probes, “We don’t get magazines here.”
Her little sister pointedly ignores her. Korra holds her breath for the inevitable spat, but thankfully Jinora decides to just ignore her in kind. Thank the spirits for that, at least.
Somehow, in the first stroke of good luck she’s had all evening, Jinora’s bison is already saddled up and ready to go. She chooses to ignore the obvious reasoning behind it, instead focusing on making sure her clothes stay clean on the flight over.
“You should let Asami make you a wingsuit,” Meelo suggests as Jinora yip-yips her bison into the air. “Then all of us could have just flown over, no bison required.”
Korra sighs, leaning back against the saddle. “Maybe next time.”
Meelo nods sagely, advice given. He sticks a finger into his mouth, playing with a wiggly tooth. “Do you think Asami could pull this thing out with pliers? I’m a bit strapped for cash right now.”
“Airbenders don’t have money, Meelo,” Jinora calls over her shoulder. When she turns around again the ten year old sticks his tongue out at her, making a face.
“She won’t have her toolbox with her at dinner, so I doubt it,” Korra tells him. “What do you need money for, anyway?”
“It’s never too early to start saving for retirement,” Meelo replies nonchalantly. Korra honestly can’t tell if he’s joking.
Though the flight into the city is short, Korra still can’t help the anxious tapping of her foot that starts up as the minutes tick by. And then keep ticking by, as Jinora searches for a place to land her massive sky bison in the middle of the Republic City Downtown.
By the time Pepper is secured on the outskirts of a park, Korra is nearly ready to pull her own hair out. “Okay everyone, time to get a move on!” She hoists Rohan into her arms as she starts a strict pace, trusting the older three kids will follow.
They tumble into Kwong’s about ten minutes later, sweaty, flushed, and messy. Korra can feel blisters beginning to form on her heels from her fancy shoes, and she dreads coming across a mirror and having to face her reflection looking like this. Truly, it’s a miracle that the doorman actually lets her inside the restaurant.
“I have a reservation for Sato,” Korra gasps out, attempting to wrangle a squirming Rohan.
The host raises a perfectly groomed eyebrow. “Of course, Avatar. However, I remind you that your reservation is only for two diners.”
“Can’t you just pull up a few extra chairs?” She replies desperately. “This one can sit in my lap, and the others –”
“I can sit in my own chair!” Rohan interrupts, his tiny round face aghast.
“I know you can, Rohan, but…”
“Korra? I thought I heard your voice!”
A sense of relief washes over her, muscles relaxing, face crinkling into a smile of its own accord as she turns to look at the one person she’s been dying to see all evening. Asami.
Her girlfriend looks utterly gorgeous, as expected. Hair pinned up in a way that leaves it flowing over one shoulder, jewelry glittering beneath the candlelights, red dress hugging her sides – at this rate, Korra might be the one passing out from her beauty.
“Asami!” Ikki and Meelo trill, nearly tackling her in a hug. Asami oofs as they barrel into her, but catches them and holds them both close with a smile.
“Hey guys, what are you doing here? Korra and I weren’t expecting company tonight.”
Before Korra can attempt to explain, in the most tactful way, that she’s been relegated to the role of babysitter for the next few hours, Jinora steals her thunder with a decisive “Korra forgot she was supposed to watch us tonight.”
“Uh, forgot, is not, um, exactly what I’d call it –”
Jinora rolls her eyes. “You forgot.”
Korra smiles sheepishly in Asami’s direction. “Okay. I might have forgotten. You look beautiful, by the way.”
“‘Sami is so pretty,” Rohan agrees from his perch in her arms. Asami, still locked in a double embrace from Meelo and Ikki, positively beams.
“Well, thank you both. How about we go sit down?” She pins the host with a pointed stare. “I’m sure it won’t be a problem to move us to a larger table with more seating.”
The man sweats beneath Asami’s gaze. Dabbing at his neck slightly, he nods hard enough that Korra wonders how his head stays on. “Of course, Miss Sato, right away.”
Meelo tilts his face upwards to glance at Asami. “I need you to teach me your ways.”
She laughs at that, somehow far more okay with this entire situation than Korra would expect anyone else to be. “Maybe another time.”
Asami manages to wriggle out of her hug-trap, coming close to twine Korra’s fingers with her own. “You also look beautiful, Korra.” She emphasizes her compliment by pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. Korra could melt from it.
“And your makeup – did you do this yourself? It looks amazing.”
Korra chuckles, shaking her head. “I can’t take credit for any of this, honestly. Ikki all but dressed me herself.”
Asami gives the younger girl another dazzling smile. “Well, I guess I’ll have to thank you then!” Pink tinges Ikki’s cheeks as she looks away, suddenly bashful.
The host comes to announce that their new table is ready, and Asami ushers them all to follow after her. Rohan begins to squirm again in earnest, little arms outstretched in earnest desperation. “I wanna be with ‘Sami!”
You and me both, kiddo, Korra sighs internally. But, to keep things running smoothly, she sets Rohan back onto the floor to let him sprint to Asami’s side and cling to her hand. All Korra can offer is yet another apologetic glance.
They attract more than a few stares as they settle at their table, each less subtle than the last. Korra can feel their eyes burning into the back of her head, making her begin to sweat. Oh spirits don’t let me start sweating here. She cringes to imagine what she must look like at this point.
“This place is so fancy,” Ikki murmurs in awe, staring enraptured at the small chandelier above their table.
“Yeah, yeah, but is the grub any good?” Meelo asks, snagging a menu from the table. He props it in his lap so he can read and wiggle his tooth at the same time. Korra doesn’t have it in her to chastise him about putting his fingers in his mouth in public.
Thankfully, she and Asami have managed to be sat next to each other, and her girlfriend turns to kiss her cheek again. “Anything in particular you’re hungry for, love?”
Korra bites her lip before she can reply with the first thought that comes to mind, all too aware of the little ears sitting nearby. “Um. Not sure yet. Definitely something with meat though; I’ve barely left Air Temple Island these last few days.”
Jinora tosses her menu onto the table with a long-suffering sigh, pulling their attention in her direction. “The vegetarian options here are shit.”
Her younger siblings gasp in unison, utterly affronted. “You can’t say that!” Rohan all but shrieks, Ikki and Meelo quickly repeating the sentiment.
Asami glances at Korra, raising an eyebrow in a clear question of should you do something about that?
Korra just sighs, leaning in close to whisper in Asami’s ear. “She’s trying to get a rise out of me because I wouldn’t let her stay back on the island with Kai.”
Not that Korra isn’t empathetic towards the teenager’s need to let off some steam and test a few boundaries in the process, she can’t help but wish Jinora chose any other night but this one. This dinner is already going to be tough to get through without her angsting in the background the entire time.
“Best to ignore it for now,” Asami whispers back in agreement. Beneath the table, she grabs Korra’s hand and squeezes, a silent support. Korra squeezes back, grateful for the backup.
Somehow, with their combined forces, they manage to find a meal that each of the children both can eat and want to eat. Jinora’s assessment of the vegetarian options was correct – they really are shit.
The wait for their food passes in a blur. Korra can barely get more than a sentence to her girlfriend, their conversation constantly interrupted. Ikki’s babbling questions. Meelo’s current obsession of would-you-rather scenarios. Rohan’s excessive storytelling that never seems to have an endpoint. Korra wants to sink into the floor in frustration.
There’s a brief respite when the food finally arrives, with everyone eagerly digging into their plates. However, it’s only for a moment; Korra soon has to dedicate her attention to making sure Rohan chews with his mouth closed and Meelo uses his napkin.
And then the kicker comes.
“Korra, I need to use the bathroom.”
The waterbender barely suppresses her sigh. “Can you hold it for a bit, Rohan? Everyone’s almost finished, and then we can go home.”
The young boy shakes his head gravely. “I can’t hold it. I drank too much water.”
“Okay then. Let’s go potty real quick. Come on, I’ll take you.”
Rohan hops up from his chair, and it quickly becomes evident how dire the situation is – he’s squirming in place, rocking back and forth, bouncing from foot to foot.
Korra offers her hand. “The bathroom’s this way, Rohan.”
Despite his obvious potty-dance, Rohan still takes the time to point at Asami. “Can ‘Sami come too?”
“Asami is gonna stay with your siblings, buddy.”
“But I want her to come with us!”
Korra takes a heartbeat to pray to any spirits around for a bit more patience. “Do you want Asami to take you instead?”
A firm shake of his head. “No, I want you and ‘Sami.”
There really isn’t any time to argue, if the speed of his wiggling is anything to go by. “Fine. Asami, will you come to the bathroom with us? Jinora, you’re in charge for five minutes and five minutes only.”
“Nobody’s in charge of me!” Meelo protests, but Korra drowns him out, gesturing for Asami to follow as she nearly drags Rohan to the bathroom. An accident on these nice carpets is the absolute last thing she needs tonight.
Inside the bathroom, Rohan’s independent streak is still going strong, the five year old insisting he can do everything himself. For this, Korra hopes he’s right. With Rohan finally inside a stall to take care of business, she gets a second to lean against the counter and just breathe.
A soft hand twines with her own. Asami leans on the counter beside her, resting her head gently on Korra’s shoulder. “Well, tonight has been interesting, to say the least.”
“I’m so sorry,” Korra apologizes frantically. “I swear I didn’t mean for this to happen at all, and now I’ve ruined our first night together in weeks. I’m going to make this up to you, Asami, I promise.”
Asami leaves the counter to face Korra directly, green eyes alight with amusement. “Korra, you don’t have to apologize. Sure it’s not what we planned, but I love any time we spend together. Even if it’s not exactly perfect.”
Her hand comes to rest on Korra’s cheek, stroking it softly. “Besides, if tonight’s chaos means I get to see you like this… I’d say it’s pretty worth it.”
Korra blushes at the compliment, though she doesn’t look away. Asami grins wider, eyes flickering down to her lips. They lean in together, noses brushing, and –
“Finished!” Rohan announces from his stall, causing the two women to jolt away from one another, ending their kiss before it even starts.
Korra steps from Asami’s arms, smoothing her dress again. “Alright, come on out and wash your hands so we can get back to the table.”
There’s a pause. “Can you help me wipe?”
Asami smacks a hand over her mouth, muffling her sudden giggles. Korra can feel her face falling in devastation.
“No problem,” She mutters, heading into the stall. “No problem at all.”
~~~~
It’s clear there’s some sort of issue at their table before they even reach it. Korra can hear the raised voices from the moment they leave the restroom, carrying over the quiet chatter of the other patrons. They’re attracting stares again.
Korra and Asami share a glance when they hear another cry of anguish and increase their pace, hurrying back to their table full of unsupervised children.
The sight that greets them isn’t too pretty. Meelo is sobbing, tears and snot both pouring down his face. Ikki and Jinora are somehow arguing with each other even louder, pointing accusatory fingers over their brother’s shaking shoulders.
“What is going on?!” Korra demands, rushing to their sides.
“I SWALLOWED MY TOOTH!” Meelo wails, another round of fat teardrops leaking from his eyes.
“You what?!”
“Meelo swallowed his tooth!” Ikki repeats, voice panicked.
“And it’s Ikki’s fault!” Jinora adds, scowling.
“It is not my fault!” Ikki shrieks, loud enough that Rohan, still standing with Asami, covers his ears.
“You challenged him to see who could eat their food faster, and he ate so fast he didn’t notice his tooth fell out when he was chewing! It is totally your fault!”
Meelo cries even harder. Korra is at a loss for words.
“The – the tooth spirit isn’t gonna be able to leave me any present because I swallowed it,” Meelo hiccups, cheeks reddening.
“You should make Ikki give you her next tooth,” Jinora suggests, completely unhelpfully. That option only starts another round of tears and another round of yelling.
“All of you, QUIET!” Korra shouts, finally fed up. The three children pause, eyes wide. Meelo’s sobs soften out to sniffles, and the girls’ expressions quickly shift to ones of guilt.
“How about I go grab the check?” Asami offers, scooping Rohan into her arms. “I think everyone’s done eating. I’ll meet you guys outside, okay?”
Korra nods in agreement, thankful for the help in wrangling the unruly mob currently disguising itself as children. She steps over to Meelo’s seat, lowering herself onto one knee – a bit awkwardly, due to her dress.
“Hey. Look at me, buddy.” Meelo sniffs again, wiping his nose. “I promise you, the tooth spirit is gonna know about your lost tooth. They’re a spirit; they don’t need to see your tooth to know you lost it. But if you want, when we get home, I can help you write a note just to make sure. How does that sound?”
Another sniffle. Meelo nods slowly. “That sounds good.”
Korra smiles, gently ruffling his hair until she sees the start of a giggle. Meelo situated, she turns to Ikki next.
“Ikki, it wasn’t your fault Meelo swallowed his tooth on accident. You couldn’t have known it was loose enough to fall out that easily. I know you didn’t mean it.”
“I didn’t mean it, I swear,” Ikki promises earnestly. “And I’m really sorry that you swallowed your tooth, Meelo.”
“There we go, that’s what I like to see,” Korra encourages. “You two, go catch up with Asami at the front while she pays the check. Jinora and I are gonna grab Pepper and come pick you guys up.”
With all the younger kids gone, Korra can focus her full attention on the teenager in front of her. But rather than try and force her to talk, she just gestures to the side door. “Come on, let’s go get your bison.”
She and Jinora walk side-by-side, completely silent. They reach Pepper after only a few minutes, and climb up the saddle together. Korra no longer cares about the fur or messing up her dress, so she makes sure to give the massive sky bison extra pets for her hard work.
Jinora, sat on Pepper’s neck, slowly turns to look at Korra, eyes downcast. “I’m sorry, Korra. I haven’t been exactly… helpful tonight. I know you were looking forward to your date with Asami, and I’m really sorry if I’ve ruined it.”
Korra thinks back to Asami’s words in the restroom – how was that only twenty minutes ago? A soft chuckle escapes her lips. “It’s anything but ruined, don’t you worry.”
Jinora sighs. “Still. I’m sorry. I know I’ve been really annoying.”
“Listen to me,” Korra replies gently. “You are one of the most special, talented, important teenagers in the entire world, Jinora. But you’re still a teenager. I think we forget that sometimes – me included. So sure, you weren’t on the best behavior ever tonight. We all have bad days. There’s nothing you’ve said or done that can’t be fixed, I promise.”
Jinora surges from her perch to wrap Korra in a hug so tight she hardly breathe. “Thank you.”
Korra pats her back weakly, wheezing slightly. “No problem, kiddo. You know I’m always here for you.”
They linger in their hug for a few more moments, then Jinora finally releases her to grab Pepper’s reins. The sky bison makes the journey back to the restaurant in under a minute, then hovers outside until Asami and the other kids finally emerge from the front doors.
“There’s nowhere to land!” Asami calls into the sky, hands cupped around her mouth.
Korra peers over the edge of the saddle, grinning. “Not a problem. Hold yourself steady; I’ll air-spout you up!”
Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan create small whirlwinds of their own to propel themselves upwards, each of them landing expertly into the saddle. They join Korra at the side, watching her next moves with eager anticipation.
Asami is far better at being air-spouted than Mako ever was, even in her fancy dinner dress. The wind whips around her as Korra spirals her arms, and when her black locks tumble into her face she just pushes them aside and keeps smiling.
The air built up, Korra flicks her wrist, and Asami’s feet leave the ground as the air-spout carries her – right into Korra’s waiting arms.
“Stuck the landing,” Asami giggles, wrapping her arms over Korra’s neck. Jinora gives another yip-yip, and Pepper takes flight for Air Temple Island.
“You know I’ll always catch you,” Korra replies, letting herself get lost in Asami’s green eyes.
“Kiss!” A small voice demands from their side. Korra breaks their gaze to glance downwards, finding Rohan clinging to her dress, chubby cheeks parted around an excited smile.
“Yeah, kiss!” Ikki joins in, bouncing eagerly in place.
“KISS, KISS, KISS!” Meelo chants, pumping his fists in the air. The other kids quickly join in, even Jinora, from her place at the reins.
“I don’t think we can deny them,” Asami laughs, the faintest hint of pink flushing over her cheeks.
“I don’t think we can, either,” Korra agrees, a laugh of her own bubbling up from her chest.
They lean in together, eyes closed, noses brushing. Their lips find each other like magnets, drawn together helplessly. Asami sighs into the kiss, and it’s the most beautiful sound Korra has ever heard.
She kisses her back with the same excitement, heart fluttering. The rest of the world falls away, leaving only this. Only Asami.
Their date night hasn’t been ruined. Not by any means.
𝙰𝚂𝙰𝙼𝙸 𝙵𝚄𝙹𝙸𝙷𝙸𝚁𝙾.. carried her bag into the apartment complex, as she fished out her fob from her pocket. starting today, she was officially a university student. fresh out of highschool, asami had figured out that she would stay in tokyo for a bit. her goal? to finish university with an undergrad in art, and in english literature. luckily for her, her two closest friends would be attending the same university, although osamu would be in a different program, she at least had keiji to keep her company during english lit. while asami had no reason to rent out a place during her time at utokyo, as her parents gladly offered her to just stay at the house, asami had wanted to feel like an adult for the first time. her parents let her leave, hesitantly of course, in the meantime she had found herself a job, at a gyu-don restaurant nearby. asami was completely in her own thoughts, basking in the emptiness of the elevator before she meets her roommate.
once she had stepped out of the elevator and onto the eighth floor, she searched for the number '801'. as soon as she found it, she grinned and opened the door. asami was greeted by the tall high rise windows, the open area in the living room, and to her right was her new kitchen. everything in the apartment screamed rich, but luckily for her, the rent wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. rounding to around, ¥98,000! although it would be cut down to ¥45,000 since she would be sharing the apartment with a roommates (to whom she hoped that he/she would be a good roommate). she knew ¥45,000 wasn't cheap to most, but she had grew up privileged enough to have that much in her account multiplied by three. asami had moved her things in the night before with osamu and keiji, and essentially just stayed the night with two so she could actually get accustomed to the apartment today. alongside with her tote bag, she had brought along groceries so she could cook for herself and possibly her new roommate. although it was only seven in the morning, the sun was already shining into the high-rise apartment.
the dark haired girl put her bag onto the island seats, as she unpacked the groceries into the fridge underneath the glass microwave. at first she thought it was ordinary drawers, but to her surprise it wasn't! she hummed a soft tune, as she continued to unpack. she had neatly stashed the fruits and vegetables into containers she had brought with her beforehand. her eggs were in a container specifically meant for eggs, while her dairy and juices rested at the back of the fridge. all of her meat, was underneath the veggies and fruits in another drawer of the fridge. as soon as asami was done with organizing the kitchen, she grabbed her bag and made her to way her new room.
since she had already moved in her things into her room, and decorated apart of the living room with a table and a chair, alongside with a tv and a couch, she decided it would be best if she just relaxed for a bit. after all it was just the morning. asami grabbed her phone out and started texting keiji.
fujihiro hummed in pleasure, as she got up from her desk and changed into some decent clothes. a pair of black mom-jeans, a white shirt, and a baby blue cardigan on top. she'll make the food after her lecture, for now she logged onto her laptop and started her asynchronous assignments.
sakusa dried off his wet hair with a towel, his eyes scanning the court as the rest of the players started to leave. after an exhausting morning/noon practice, it was finally over. although sakusa was apart of the top 3 aces in japan, being scouted by such a big team was incredible to him. his expectations for the practice, definitely was wrong, it was a lot harder. but that's what you get for being on the national volleyball team right? sakusa had no complaints, he was paid well, enjoyed what he did, and often won his matches. his teammates abilities didn't surprise him either, after all he's watched all the games, played through them, and trained with them. sakusa pulled his mask up, as he threw his bag over his shoulder and took out his car keys. the moment he got into his porsche carrera gt, he immediately sanitized his hands, the alcohol smell filling the car. he mapped his new abode, and was on his way
within 15 minutes of driving he had arrived at his new apartment, unbeknownst to him someone he had liked for a while was in the same apartment as he was. as sakusa made his way up to his new apartment, he opened the door to be surprised with asami fujihiro, a face he hadn't seen since he graduated from highschool. although they didn't go to the same school, asami had always harboured hatred for sakusa, while on the other hand, sakusa admired her beauty. some would call sakusa as arrogant, full of himself, and a lot more rude words which were incorrect ( sometimes ), he never knew what made asami hate him so much. the dark curly haired male stared into asami's greyish eyes, her face morphed from happiness into disgust in a single second.
"sakusa? what the hell are you doing here?" the long haired girl asked as she wiped her wet hands onto a towel, as she cleaned up her and the boys' dishes from the counter.
"i could say the same about you, but from the looks of it, you're my new roommate." sakusa said, as he stepped into the apartment, closing the door behind him, while osamu and keiji had an extremely amused faces, as they watched everything unfold.
"no fucking way," asami mumbled as she stared at sakusa in confusion, but while she thought about it, he had already made his way into his new room that he hadn't decorated yet.
sakusa let out a sigh as he dropped his sports bag onto the floor, and flopped onto his bed. he was extremely tired from practice, and regardless of the fact that the girl that had always hated him ever since they met was his new roommate, he still needed some sleep. so sleep he had.
osamu and keiji laughed at her frustration and confusion, fujihiro loaded the dishes into the dishwasher angrily. "new roommate? him? why!?" she groaned annoyed. "out of everybody, it just had to be sakusa?"
"sami, why exactly do you dislike sakusa so much? i mean, ever since you two met, you've always disliked him." keiji asked as he drank his ramune, while osamu scrolled through his own phone, texting his brother about the commotion.
"he's.. egotistical! he's so full of himself, it's so annoying. he ignores everybody, and acts like he's the shit!" asami complained as she looked over at the two. "obviously im gonna hate him!"
"but you never really gave him a chance. if my memory serves me correctly, he tried to be friendly with you, but you gave him the cold shoulder." osamu pointed out, as he looked at asami with amusement shining in his eyes.
"because i knew he was gonna be a dick to me, duh." asami said in her captain obvious tone, "fuck, whatever. as long as he isn't gonna be a dick or whatever i'll be fine. maybe i just won't go out of my room when he's home." she said with a sigh, sitting down beside the boys with a slouch.
"yeah.. good luck to you on that sami. i'm gonna go, 'tsumu and i have to plan a few things for the opening of onigiri miya." osamu said while patting the girl on the back.
"yeah, i'm gonna go too. ko said his practice ended, and he said he wanted to get coffee. i'll text you later." akaashi said as he stood up from his seat and grabbed his autumn coat.
"yeah, alright. see you two later! stay safe." she said as she locked the door once they both left. with a small sigh, and a look to where the door of sakusa's room was, she shook her head. she stood in the dining area baffled before she took big deep breath in, and started prepping for dinner.
Meeting You || Yandere Gojo Saturo x OC
Tumblr media
Pairing: Yandere!Gojo Satoru x Named Female Reader (Miyahara Asami)
Summary: Meeting him seemed like an honor but had Asami watched him closely she might have not found herself in such a situation.
Warnings: NON CON, Jealousy, Character Death, Implied Murder, Unconsensual Drugging.
Word Count: 2648
A/N: It's my first time writing yandere let me know what you think of it.
Tumblr media
The first time pupils at Tokyo Jujutsu High acknowledged Miyahara Asami’s existence was when Gojo Satoru lingered beside her. His left hand gently resting on her shoulder while everyone on the sports field intently watched the struggle of Asami as she fought to hold back tears, only to succumb as they traced a path down her cheeks.
Upon discovering Asami's strained ankle, the P.E. teacher swiftly assigned Satoru the task of bringing her to the school nurse. Without any hesitation, Satoru slid his hands underneath her knees and supported her back. As whispers danced among her peers, Asami's realization washed over her — Satoru held her in his embrace. Sudden Asami became insecure. Does he find her heavy? Does he consider her a cry baby? Does he think she is disgusting for sweating?
Asami had never truly grasped the magnitude of Satoru's towering height until that moment. In his presence, she swore she was lifted closer to the celestial realm rather than grounded on earthly soil, an ethereal sensation that left her in awe.
That particular day etched itself into Satoru's memory as the moment he made a profound declaration to himself—a declaration of love, as he willingly embraced the truth that his heart had unequivocally fallen for her.
Tumblr media
As the sun rose the next morning, Asami bid farewell to her grandparents and embarked on a painstaking journey towards the exit of the apartment building. Though the nurse had cautioned against walking, the absence of anyone to accompany her left her with no alternative but to defy the advice and tread slowly towards school. However, just as Asami set foot outside, her steps came to an astonished halt, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight that greeted her—Gojo Satoru, standing before her with a bicycle in hand. How had he discovered her place of residence?
"Good morning, Asami," he greeted her with a cheerful tone, her name rolled off his tongue so naturally. As he approached her, he closed the distance between them. Once he stood in front of her, she caught a glimpse of her own reflection in his piercing blue eyes. "Good morning," she responded, reciprocating the greeting. Satoru's gaze fell upon the bandage wrapped around her swollen ankle, prompting him to remark, "You weren't planning to walk to school with a sprained ankle, were you?" Standing before her with a bike, he offered, "Let me take you to school."
Hesitance took over her. Eyes were drawn to the sleek and expensive-looking bicycle. “Thank you for the offer but there’s no need for that. I don’t want waste your time,” Asami politely declined. Firmly he insisted, “Don’t be stupid. You don’t want to prolong your ankle’s recovery.” Asami could not wait any longer and asked the question that lingered her mind since she saw Satoru standing: "How did you know where I lived?" Purposefully, Satoru brushed off her question, deeming it irrelevant. She does not have to know about the fact he followed her yesterday when she got picked up by her grandfather. All that mattered to him was that they were together again.
"Now, hop on before I drag you to school by your hair," he said while a gentle smile graced his lips. The way those words escaped his mouth left Asami feeling ambiguous. Wondering whether it was a genuine joke or a not.
From that pivotal moment onwards, Satoru made it a point to go the extra mile in his pursuit of Asami's company.
Tumblr media
Satoru's heart grew heavy with the realization that he and Asami were not in the same academic year. As a second-year student, their schedules rarely aligned, leaving him longing for more moments with her at school. However, this obstacle did not deter Satoru from actively seeking her out during breaks, determined to steal precious snippets of time together.
One day, as they gathered during a break, a tall, slim boy with black hair approached them. "So this is the girl," he remarked, his gaze fixed on Asami. Politely bowing, she introduced herself, saying, "I am Miyahara Asami. It's a pleasure to meet you." Satoru, standing beside her, couldn't help but interject, his voice filled with affection, "Yeah, isn't she cute?" His gentle gesture of tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear underscored his fondness for her.
In no time, Asami found herself becoming acquainted with Satoru's circle of friends—Suguru, Shoko, Kento, and Yu. It was fortunate that she already shared a class with Yu and Kento, allowing a sense of familiarity to ease her into the newfound company.
Whenever Satoru greeted Asami, he had a big smile plastered on his face. Being in her presence again made him so happy. Spending the school breaks together was not enough. Without realizing it, Satoru started to play a bigger part in her life.
Every morning he picked her up from residence with his bike. Feeling her arms wrapped around his waist made him feel in control of her. Whenever the rain poured down, he would insist on sharing his transparent umbrella that clearly was designed for one person. The feeling of his shoulder touching hers made the butterflies in his stomach dance.
One day he felt bolder than usual and wrapped his arm around her waist. Asami froze up from the sudden action of the white-haired boy but she did not push his arm away.
On scorching afternoons, he would convince her to join him for ice cream after school. Giving him a great excuse to wipe the ice cream from her lips. When the biting cold of winter set in he would wrap his scarf around her neck. Ensuring her warmth and comfort.
In Satoru's mind, these gestures were evidence of a budding affection reciprocated by Asami. Her genuine cheer and unwavering support during his baseball matches further fueled his belief. And when fatigue plagued his shoulders it was her gentle hands that massaged away the tension, offering solace and care. In moments of wintry chill her warm palms would envelop his cold ones, providing an intimate connection that resonated deeply within him. Their bond seemed sealed when, on her birthday, he presented her with a necklace that adorned her neck. In gratitude she planted a tender kiss on his cheek.
Yet, the harsh truth of reality revealed that Asami's eyes had wandered elsewhere, drawn to the captivating presence of Yu Haibara. Despite Satoru's devoted efforts, his heartfelt gestures were unnoticed by the one he held dear.
Tumblr media
"What?" Satoru's voice escaped his lips, a mix of confusion and surprise etched on his face as he witnessed a remorseful smile gracing Asami's delicate features. His mind raced, questioning her intentions — did he do something to upset her? "I am sorry, Sato, but I will not walk home with you today. I will see you tomorrow," she gently explained, swiftly gathering her schoolbag before making her way out of the classroom. Dissatisfied with her response, Satoru couldn't bear the thought of their cherished routine being disrupted. He trailed after her, his determination unwavering. "But we always walk home together," he pleaded, hoping to reignite their daily tradition, a ritual he held dear. "I know but not today. I promise, I will make it up to you," she reassured him and kissed his cheek before leaving him alone in the hallways, a bitter blend of anger and disappointment washing over him as he watched his Asami leave the school building. Refusing to accept her rejection, Satoru decided to follow Asami, driven by an overwhelming need to uncover the reasons behind her sudden disruption of their harmonious routine.
Maintaining a discreet distance he followed her to the park, his steps coming to an abrupt halt as he beheld the sight before him. Asami ran towards Yu, her excitement palpable. Satoru stood frozen, his eyes fixated on the scene unfolding before him. Time seemed to slow as he observed Asami's cheeks flush with a delicate shade of pink, a telltale sign of her nervousness. His heart clenched with a mix of anger and jealousy as Yu plucked a cherry blossom from her hair, a gesture laden with an intimacy that stung Satoru's soul. However, what truly ignited a firestorm within him was the sight of Asami’s school skirt. It was noticeably shortened, revealing a glimpse of her thighs as she sat beside Yu.
Tumblr media
"Satoru, stop it!" Asami's voice erupted in a yell, urging the white-haired boy to release his grip from her. It had only been ten minutes since Satoru showed up unannounced at her apartment, bombarding her with relentless questions about her relationship with Yu. Yet, to Asami, the relentless repetition made it feel like an eternity. "Why are you behaving like this all of a sudden? I've already told you there is nothing between me and Yu," she reassured him, her hand gently resting on his chest, an attempt to calm his raging storm. But the anger etched across his face refused to dissipate, his heavy breaths filling the air.
"But you kissed him," he uttered, the accusation laced with hurt and disbelief. "It was just a peck... Sato, I swear, I'm not dating Yu," Asami pleaded, her voice tinged with both sincerity and frustration, hoping to break through the walls he had erected.
"Kiss me," he suddenly demanded, his voice carrying a mix of vulnerability and determination. Taken aback by his request, Asami looked at him with a flicker of surprise in her eyes. “I almost kiss you daily,” she reminded him but Satoru shook his head knowing what she is referring to. “A real kiss,” he said and looked at her with darkness in his eyes. Something she had never seen before. Something about it scared her. In no mood to prolong this pointless conversation, she nodded reluctantly and took a step closer to her friend. With a blend of nervousness and slight fear, she rose on her tiptoes, preparing to fulfill his request, unaware of the consequences that would unfold next.
The moment her soft lips touched his, his arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer. Desperately he sucked and bite at her lower lip, begging her to open her mouth. Once Asami slightly opened her mouth, Satoru forced his tongue insider her mouth. Exploring every corner of her mouth and dominating her tongue.
The kiss was rough and sloppy. The way he bit her lips she could taste something metallic. Once Satoru was satisfied with the kiss he pulled away but he remained close to her. Still having a tight grip on her waist, he leaned closer and let his forehead rest against hers. A thin string of saliva connecting their lips.
Tumblr media
As days melded into weeks, Satoru watched with a heavy heart as Asami slipped further and further away from his side. The vibrant thread that once bound them together began to unravel, the closeness they once shared slowly fading into distant memories. Their conversations became fleeting, their laughter growing scarce, and their moments together dwindled into mere fragments of what they used to be. It felt as though the very foundation of their bond was crumbling, leaving Satoru bewildered and consumed by a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.
The pain that gripped Satoru's heart was both relentless and overwhelming. Anger mingled with confusion, leaving him questioning what had changed. What had caused this gradual distance to grow between them? The countless hours he had devoted to their friendship, the unwavering support and understanding he had offered, seemed to have been disregarded, cast aside with such ease. It was a bitter pill to swallow, to witness the fading connection that had once felt unbreakable.
Tumblr media
Satoru had been willing to tolerate the multitude of changes unfolding within Asami's life. However, the final blow that shattered his resilience came when he was at a party hosted by a classmate. Almost every student from Tokyo Jujutsu High was present at the gathering. While the loud music echoed through the entire house and people were getting drunk left and right, Satoru decided to look for Asami. He needed to talk to her. After searching the entire house for his favorite person, there was one place left to explore. Quietly he pushed a bedroom door open and immediately halted his tracks.
There she was laying on somebody’s bed with Yu between her legs. No words could adequately capture the depth of Satoru's emotions. Was he angry? Livid? Consumed by rage? None of these descriptors could fully encapsulate the turmoil coursing through his veins. On that day, a solemn oath took shape within Satoru's heart—he vowed to reclaim Asami, to restore what had been lost between them.
Tumblr media
The next encounter between the two friends took place within the confines of Satoru's bedroom. Her tears staining the fabric of Satoru's shirt while he provided a steady source of comfort, his hand gently tracing soothing circles on her back. "I can't comprehend how someone could be so cruel," she whispered with trembling lips. The weight of Yu's passing weighed heavily on her heart, each thought of him was a painful reminder of the harsh realities of life. "The world can be so unfair sometimes," the blue-eyed boy murmured softly, his voice laced with understanding, as he reached out his hand to grab a glass of water and held the glass to her quivering lips, encouraging her to take a few sips.
As the minutes passed, fatigue enveloped Asami, her limbs growing heavy and her eyes struggling to stay open. Recognizing her growing exhaustion, she mustered the strength to voice: "I need to go home." Gently pushing herself away from Satoru's comforting embrace, she attempted to stand on her unsteady legs. But before she could fully find her balance, her body betrayed her. Collapsing to the wooden floor beneath her. A sharp gasp escaped her lips as pain coursed through her. Sensing her distress, Satoru swiftly moved into action, his arms instinctively reaching out to lift her delicate and small frame. With ease and tenderness, he carefully lifted her from the ground, cradling her in his arms, before gently placing her upon his bed.
"You know how I envision our future?" Satoru gently posed the question as he unbuttoned her blouse, his gaze fixed on her distant stare towards the ceiling, oblivious to his actions. Curious, she turned her gaze towards the white-haired boy. "Well?" she prompted, her eyes searching his face for an answer. Satoru's voice held a hint of longing as he painted the picture of their shared destiny. "I imagine us living together in a magnificent house nestled amidst the mountains," he revealed, throwing her blouse on the wooden floor as he admired her body. A wistful smile graced his lips as he indulged in his daydream. "The thought of returning home to find you patiently waiting for me fills my heart with joy," he confessed, having envisioned that scene countless times in his mind. When he did not get a response from Asami, he continued: “The idea of us sharing a bedroom gets me riled up.”
“Why” she asked. Totally unaware of Satoru slowly pulling down her underwear. “Think about it, Asami,” the white-haired boy said as he caged her with his body. Planting little kisses in her neck as he forces Asami to part her legs. “Sato I need to go home,” Asami said as she felt a warm hand between her legs. “My grandparents are waiting for me,” she said as she placed her hands on his bare chest and tried to push him away. Disappointment washed over as she realized that her effort were pointless.
“And now that Yu is out of the picture, that dream can turn into reality,” Satoru said as he massages her breast. “What? What do you mean?” Asami said drowsy. "Hush you do not have worry about it. He will not bother us anymore," Satoru said before planting a kiss on her forehead.
“I love you Asami” were the last words that Miyahara Asami heard before everything turned black.
Hi mel!! I hope you're doing well and as always love your work 💖💖 if requests are still open, I was thinking hopefully another iroh ii and kya's daughter piece? 🙈🙈 I would love for korra and the gang to meet iroh and his family somehow! ❤️
a/n: for you my dear i would be happy to write about iroh and kya’s daughter 🫶🏼
summary: the family comes together to celebrate Bumi’s birthday
~ based off of these hcs ~
Tumblr media
“Tara, Azula, I better not find little fingerprints in your Great Uncle Bumi’s cake when I get over there,” Kya warns over her shoulder to the two little girls that peer over the table in awe at the perfectly decorated dessert before them. The frosted roses that line the edges are tempting, but the two girls know better than to disobey their grandmother’s words and instead opt to watch the woman prepare another batch of steamed dumplings.
“What are you two troublemakers up to?” A voice teases as strong arms wrap around their figures and hoist them into the air. Delighted squeals escape from their mouths as they meet the loving gaze of their father and are each gifted a kiss to the cheek.
“You better keep an eye on those ones, Iroh,” she jests before removing the cake and setting it away on a higher counter to sit undisturbed. “They’ve been eyeing that cake ever since y/n finished frosting it.”
“Now girls, we wouldn’t want to ruin your mother’s hard work, would we? I promise there will be time for cake later,” he assures the two before carrying them out into the yard where the festivities are taking place.
It’s Commander Bumi’s birthday today, and you and Iroh have graciously offered your home to host his celebration. Family and friends have been invited to partake in the festivities and enjoy the food you and Kya have spent hours preparing. It’s an intimate affair, but Bumi is grateful for each and every person that has come to celebrate.
After setting the girls down and allowing them the chance to run and play with their cousins, Iroh turns his attention towards you and your Uncles that sit admiring the newest addition to the family.
“I couldn’t be prouder to see how wonderful of a mother you are,” Tenzin compliments with a careful smile as he peers down at the babbling infant nestled in your arms.
“You did good, kiddo,” Bumi agrees with an affectionate ruffle to your hair. “He’s absolutely beautiful, a real Bumi if you ask me.”
You laugh softly at the way Tenzin rolls his eyes at his brother’s comment before looking down at your newest bundle of joy. Bumi the Third was born just a few months ago, and you and Iroh were thrilled to welcome your first son into the world. He was beautiful, with your eyes and Iroh’s nose, he was the perfect image of your love.
“General Iroh!” A voice calls, breaking the man from his thoughts and turning his attention to the group of guests that had just arrived.
“Avatar Korra!” He greets with a smile as he meets her and her friends halfway. “It’s so nice to see you all.”
“I hope we’re not terribly late,” Asami says apologetically with a remorseful smile.
“Someone had to stop and use the bathroom on the way here,” Mako retorts in annoyance while casting a judgmental glance towards his brother.
“It’s not my fault I didn’t have to go before we left!” Bolin defends adamantly only for Korra to shake her head and change the course of the conversation before they can embarrass themselves any further.
“Where’s Commander Bumi? We brought him a gift!”
“He was just here, but I think he went inside to check on the food,” Iroh explains before his eyes light up in excitement. Gesturing for the group of young adults to follow, the General leads Korra and her friends towards the guest area. “But there is someone I’d like you to meet.”
You sit alone now with baby Bumi, your Uncles respectively having wandered off to mingle with other guests and leaving you to your own devices. The child is as alert and happy as ever, letting out content coos as he grasps at the fabric of your dress. Noticing your husband approaching with the Avatar and her friends in tow, you’re quick to rise from your seat so you may greet the group.
“Y/n,” Korra greets with a respectful bow and a kind grin, “it’s nice to see you again.”
“It’s been so long since I’ve last seen you all, I’m so happy you’re here,” you agree with a pleasant smile. “It means the world to my Uncle that you all could make it.”
“I brought Korra and her friends over so they could meet the newest addition to our family,” Iroh explains to you with a grin before gesturing towards the newborn in your arms. “Korra, Asami, Mako, Bolin, I’d like you all to meet Bumi the Third.”
“He’s beautiful,” Asami gushes with a delighted smile as she extends a finger towards the baby and lets out a quiet laugh when he immediately latches on.
“You guys had another baby?!” Bolin exclaims in surprise only to earn a nudge to the side from his brother.
“We haven’t seen her in over a year, Bolin,” Mako reminds him before giving the two of you a polite smile. “Congratulations on the new family member.”
“Would you like to hold him?” You ask to an apprehensive Korra.
“Oh, I don’t know if I-“ she begins to protest, but she isn’t able to argue further as you wordlessly nestle your son into her arms. She looks panicked at first, but when he looks up at her with his wide eyes and gifts her a gummy smile, she realizes it isn’t so scary after all. “You’re a cute kid, aren’t you?”
“I call holding him next!” Bolin exclaims only to receive a harsh shush from the Avatar. You hide your laughter behind your hand before melting into Iroh’s side when he wraps a careful arm around your waist.
“Our children are lucky to be part of such a wonderful family,” you sigh wistfully as you watch the group fawn over the infant. It’s nice to know how loved your family is by all that know you and your husband, and you couldn’t be more grateful.
“I couldn’t agree more,” Iroh beams before pressing a kiss to the crown of your head.
How lucky you are to know such a wonderful group of people.
Lunch time
(Sugar momma Lin Beifong x sugar baby reader)
Summary: just being a good girl and bringing Lin her lunch
I was currently in the kitchen making lunch for Lin. I decided to make a tofu stir fry and I made sure to make it a little spicy. Once I was done I went to the bedroom to get ready. I did a bit of makeup, fixed up my hair and put on a short dress. After I got dressed up I packed up and made my way to her job. Thankfully it wasn’t a long walk. I made my way inside the station. “Hey.” Mako said as he came up to me. “Hey.” I said and gave him a hug. “Chief is in a meeting.” Mako said. “When will she be done?” I asked. “Not sure but you can go up to her office and wait.” Mako said. “Ok great.” I said.
“Also what did you pack for her?” Mako asked. “I packed your mom some tofu stir fry.” I said. “Stop calling chief my mom.” Mako said. I laughed as I walked up the stairs, I entered the office and placed the lunch box down. I sat down in Lin’s chair and just spun around in it. As I spun around I started to fantasize about Lin. I bit my lip thinking about riding her in her office. I rolled my eyes at the horny thoughts that came to my brain. I could just touch myself in her office chair. No, no no! I sighed.
Actually I’ll just hold that idea for later. I’m gonna have to find an outfit, maybe I can ask Asami for some help then make sure I bring my big bag to bring the strap with me. I’ll have her catch me touching myself in her office and then I’m sure she’ll spank me and then I get to ride her cock. My legs rubbed together. Ok maybe i can touch myself now. The door opened and I turned towards the door. “What are you doing?” Lin asked. “Hostile takeover.” I said. “Very cute.” Lin laughed and closed the door then walked over to me.
I got up and moved from her chair. Lin led me over to the couch and sat me on her lap. “I missed you.” I said. “I missed you too, baby girl.” Lin said and held me close to her. “Oh lunch! I almost forgot.” I said as I quickly got off her lap to grab the food. Once grabbed I sat back down and held out the bag to her. “Thank you.” Lin said as she took it. I nodded and watched her open the food. “I tried something new, tofu stir fry.” I said. “It looks good.” Lin said. “Hope it tastes good.” I said. I watched as she took a bite and then she scooped up more food and held it out to me.
I opened my mouth and let her feed me. “This is good, you did well.” Lin complimented. “Thank you baby, I’m glad you like it.” I said. “What did you eat today?” Lin asked. Oh I’m in trouble. “Huh.” I said. “I said," What did you eat?” Lin repeated herself. “Oh I just ate some noodles.” I lied. “You know better than to lie to me.” Lin said. I sighed. “How did you expect me to eat when I had to cook for you and get all pretty?” I asked. “You need to eat, it’s important. You feed yourself first and make sure you have water.” Lin said. “I had water, just no food and I need to make sure you eat because you don’t eat.” I told her.
“I eat.” Lin said. “No you don't, you run on coffee and green tea. That’s why we agreed I would cook for you.” I said. “You still need to eat, I worry about you.” Lin said. I stroked Lin’s cheek where her scar wasn’t. Last time I touched her scar she wasn’t happy. She pulled my hand away and got snappy at me. I didn’t mean any harm. “I worry about you. You need to take better care of yourself.” I told her. “I’m fine.” Lin said. “This city can’t be safe if you aren’t ok.” I said. “I know, baby.” Lin said and gently grabbed my hand then gave it a kiss.
“We should go on vacation.” I suggested. “Vacation?” Lin asked. “Yeah, why not?” I asked. “I’ll think about it.” Lin said. I shook my head. “Whatever you say baby.” I said. Lin fed me more of her lunch. I like it when we eat together like this. It’s very sweet. “What do you want for dinner?” I asked. “I won’t be home tonight.” Lin said. “Why?” I asked. “I have a lot of paperwork to do.” Lin told me. I guess I’m gonna have to bring her dinner tonight. I just nodded. I’ll probably just actually make noodles tonight I’m not sure. When Lin finished eating we decided to make out until her break was over.
I ran my fingers through her gray hair as we made out. It felt so good to be close to her like this. When her break was over Mako walked me home and I went to crash on the bed. I took a short nap. I'm lying. It was a long nap. I woke up around six pm I had to rush to take a shower. I washed off my makeup then my body. When I finished washing up I dried off then put on Lin’s robe. I went to the kitchen and started cooking. I made enough for her and I to eat together at the station. When I finished I packed up the food then I went to get dressed.
When I was done I grabbed all my things and then made my way to Lin. It was late at night and I know Lin is gonna be pissed off that I’m walking this late but I don’t care. She needs to eat! I made it to her job and went straight to Lin’s office. I knocked on the door and waited for her response. “Come in.” Lin said. I opened the door and saw Lin doing paperwork. “What do you want?” Lin asked. She hadn’t looked up from her work to notice me. Oh I can’t help myself, I'm about to say something dumb.
“I want to gag on your cock.” I said. “Have you lo,” Lin looked up and noticed me and I laughed. “What are you doing here?” Lin asked. “I bring dinner.” I said and showed off the bag. “I appreciate you but you shouldn’t,” “I don’t care. You need to eat.” I said and sat on the couch. Lin sighed then sat next to me. I gave her a bowl then I pulled out mine. “Now let us have dinner together.” I said. We ate and talked about her long day. “I won’t be home tomorrow night either.” Lin said. “Why?” I asked. “Criminals being criminals.” Lin said.
I pouted. “Don’t pout.” Lin told me. “But I want you to come home, I’ll be so lonely without you.” I said. “I know baby but I have work to do. I’ll try to be home soon. I won't be here long.” Lin told me. I just nodded. I don’t wanna lay in bed without her. It’s childish I know but I don’t care.
I just don't get why some people interpret Mak/orra as this "physically passionate with fiery emotions, but incompatible" or "just based on teenage hormones and sexual attraction, but lacking deeper emotions" relationship either when defending or critiquing it.
Specifically on Mako's side, Asami is for Mako definitely the relationship that was mostly based on physical attraction and passion, and this is very evident in the first scene where they meet. It's also obviously much more (surface level) 'stable' and in a way more romantically compatible and comfortable than his relationship with Korra. Mako could have been 'fine' dating Aasmi, he had a great woman that he was really attracted to, and that's half the point. He doesn't choose Korra because he's "more hormonally attracted" to her - like there is actually 0 scenes even indicating Mako is that physically attracted to Korra. He chose her because it's emotionally disruptive and significant for him. That was the relationship that pushed him in a new direction and inspired him to change. It takes awhile for him to realize he is served better admiring Korra in this way in a platonic manner, outside of a romantic relationship - but his core appreciation for her doesn't change form.
On Korra's side, the relatioship basically represents her teenage idealism. She'd been isolated most of her youth, so Mako is probably her first actual crush, and it's based on the things she valued the most at the time. Mako is an extremely capable bender to the level that he matches her. The scene where Korra "falls" for Mako is watching him probend! Also this whole idea of their relationship as "we drive each other mad, but it makes me hot" lasts literally 0.5 seconds for Korra. There is no indication that Korra is turned on by anger. There's like 1 scene where she tries to rile up Mako to admit he likes her in a bravado manner, and 1 time they kiss during (not even) an argument, but it's overall depicted that all the fighting makes Korra extremely miserable, unable to be vulnerable with Mako and it does not in fact enhance some sort of physical hotness, but largely takes away from it. Later, Korra realizes she actually wants to express her own feelings as part of her romantic attraction and connection and realizes she can't do that with Mako.
Ironically, there are actually more scenes where Korra expresses direct physical admiration of Asami than of Mako even in book 1, whereas the show itself frames Korra's main admiration for Mako's skill as a bender. It also builds their relationship mostly on mutual trust that isn't physical or emotional, but about relying on each other in dangerous situations. When it comes to actually emotionally intimate scenes, Korra doesn't show that deep trust in Mako in several instances, or being comfortable expressing herself more deeply with him: her main trust in him is out "on the field". Which continues to be the thing that Korra appreciates about Mako long after they stop being romantically involved, she knows he's "got her back" and she trusts him completely on that level.
Again this isn't really a defense or a critique of the relationship, just how I interpret their tumultuous but significant relatively short-lived romance that turned into a life-long friendship and mutual admiration as shown/implied in canon.
KW 2024- Day 8: Free Day
Day 8 of Kataang Week 2024 hosted by @kataang-week
Prompt: Free Day, Monday, August 5
Summary: Korra and Asami have brought Katara too many long lost memories of her beloved.
Word Count: 1.7 K
Rating: General audiences (except for mentions of death)
When Korra first introduced Asami to Katara, she felt an unexplainable and sad feeling in her. It was not anything against Asami since Katara’s own daughter, Kya, liked women, but it was a wave of nostalgia attacking her like a tsunami.
“Master Katara, I want you to meet my girlfriend, Asami Sato.”
Katara remembered clearly the day Korra properly introduced Asami to her. She remembers her caring gaze and how sweet and polite she was. Asami was great for Katara: she loved her sense of humor, cared for her, teased her, connected so well with her, and placed Korra at ease. Korra also cared for this young woman dearly, probably more than anyone in the world. The way they would gaze at each other’s eyes proved their unwavering bond and love for one another. Every time one of them spoke, the other would gaze at them with a look of eternal love Katara hadn’t seen in a long time.
It reminded her of the old days, when her beloved Aang was still alive.
“Aang!” Katara would exclaim. “Stop looking at me with those eyes!”
“What eyes?” the Avatar would ask playfully, not taking his grey eyes from the Waterbender. They were profound like the mountains, and Katara could sink in them forever. He would look at her as if she were the most precious and beautiful thing on this world, even if she did not feel like it.
“You always stare at me like that!” Katara would laugh.
“I just do it because you are the most beautiful, wonderful, smartest, and kindest woman in the world,” Aang would tell her lovingly, making her heart pound. They would laugh wholeheartedly and continue to tease each other. More than a simple romantic couple, Aang and Katara were also best friends.
But most importantly, they were soulmates.
The last time Aang looked at Katara with those loving, silver eyes was in his last few days. He was really sick and weak, but still tried to keep his spirits up, even if his energy was fading.
“Aang, what are you doing?” Katara would ask, sitting next to him.
“I am just looking at the most gorgeous woman in the world one last time,” he whispered, his misty, silver eyes gazing at her, caressing her face with his weak arm.
“This won’t be the last time you see me,” Katara would tell him in denial. “I promise that you will get better, and we will keep living in peace.”
Aang’s hand brushed a white strand of hair from Katara’s face. Even if age had wiped off her youthful features, he still thought she was ethereal. She looked wiser, and her eyes were now a darker blue, like the oceans at the South Pole.
Unfortunately, Aang was right, and only two days after that conversation, Aang passed away.
Korra always reminded Katara of her beloved Aang, and not just because Aang was Korra’s past life, but because she had his loving and cheerful spirit. She never told Korra how much she reminded her of her late husband, but she was always there for the young Avatar no matter what.
The day Aang passed away, Katara had to tend to Senna since she was giving birth. It was a complicated labor, and Senna was in a lot of pain. Katara feared that the birth would worsen, but she was not hopeless and knew that Senna and her baby would have a chance in the world.
“It’s alright Senna,” Katara would say soothfully. “It will be over soon, and you’ll be okay.” The young woman could only grunt in pain, and her hand was glued to Tonraq’s hand, who was doing an amazing job of calming her down.
“Master Katara!” a young healer entered the hut. “You need to come home quickly! It’s Avatar Aang!”
“What?” she asked, having a bad feeling about what the healer intended.
“I will cover for you,” volunteered the healer. “Go! He is not doing well.”
Katara rushed to her home with the help of Bumi and Tenzin, and when she got to her home, Aang was clearly not doing well. His body was fading, and his energy was already down to a minimum. Although she did not want to believe it, Katara knew that he only had minutes in this world.
“Kat…ara,” Aang whispered with a raspy voice. “You have to promise me… train… the new Avatar… They are going to be… Water Tribe.”
“I promise Aang!” Katara cried through tears. “I will train them but please, don’t leave-”
“Not everything is forever,” Aang whispered. “Everything comes… and goes… I knew that my time on this earth would be short after you found me… in the iceberg… but every year of it was worth living it… especially with you by my side…”
“Aang,” Katara cried, tears streaming down her eyes. She kissed Aang’s forehead, which felt cold to the touch. His breath was starting to slow down, and Katara knew that this was it.
“I… love you,” Aang barely whispered. “I will always, be with you…” After breathing out those last words, he shut his eyes and felt how he slowly sank into the dark. Tears began flowing violently from Katara’s eyes, and she began to sob as her beloved Aang passed into the afterlife. Her children were all crying beside her, and tried comforting her. Some healers came into the room and covered Aang with a large piece of animal fur. Aang was gone, and this time, forever.
A few hours later, another healer came to Katara and Aang’s residence, and requested to talk to Kya.
“Senna’s birth was successful, Master Kya,” the healer said. “She gave birth to a healthy baby girl, and Senna sent me to tell you the news and to thank the two of you.”
Katara heard Kya and the healer’s conversation from afar, but she did not say anything, for she was overtaken by the grief of losing Aang. She wanted him to be with her by her side, and she could imagine him talking to the healer instead of Kya. Aang would then go to her and tell her the news, and Katara would smile.
Even if 20 years passed since Aang’s passing, not a single day would pass when she did not miss him. The spirit of the Avatar could be reincarnated as many times as it wanted, but Aang’s spirit couldn’t.
One particular day, on one of Korra’s stays at the South Pole, she saw Korra and Asami laughing and playfully teasing each other.
“Asami!” Korra squealed. Asami was trying to tickle her, and she was behind Korra trying to tickle her waist. Asami was cackling at Korra’s reaction, and she tried to sneak her hands more into her ribs. She playfully kissed all of Korra’s face, making her blush intensely and giggle.
In a breeze, Korra overpowered Asami and placed her on her shoulder with easiness. “Korra!” Asami laughed. “Put me down!”
“Not until you admit that I love you more!” Korra smirked.
“No! I love you more!” Asami snapped back teasingly.
“Oh, no you don’t!” Korra remarked. Asami was trying to get down from Korra’s shoulders, but the Avatar kept her up there. As Korra tried walking with Asami, who was taller than her, she tripped and both of them fell into the snow. They giggled at the incident and gave each other a loving Water Tribe kiss (1).
“Aang!” Katara would yell from Aang's shoulder. “Put me down now!”
“Not happening, sweetie!” Aang would tell her playfully.
“Please!” she would yell, trying to hold back her laughter.
Aang would spin around, his laughter infectious. “Only if you say the magic words!” he teased.
“Fine! You win, mighty Avatar!” Katara would surrender with a dramatic sigh, only for Aang to gently lower her to the ground, pulling her into a tight embrace.
Katara’s heart ached with the memories of their youthful antics. She would remember everything she lived with Aang when she saw Korra and Asami.
She remembered the days when they would race through the Southern Water Tribe’s icy terrain as teenagers, laughing and shouting.
“I’m going to get you!” Katara would warn Aang as they were skating through the ice.
“Oh, no you won’t!” Aang would smirk, getting on his air scooter and skating away.
“Aang, that’s not fair!” Katara would laugh, catching up to the young Avatar. She tackled him to the ground and was on top of him, both of them giggling hysterically.
She remembered the quiet nights under the stars, when they would stargaze and spot as many space phenomenon as possible.
“I’ve never seen that star before,” Katara would point out at the sky. “It’s so beautiful!”
“The Airbenders would say it is extremely far away,” Aang would tell her. “This star is rarely seen in the sky, but Fire Nation legend tells that it is a symbol of eternal love. Whichever couple spots it, will be together for eternity.”
She remembered the warmth of his touch, the way his eyes would light up whenever he looked at her, and the softness of his kisses, filled with all the love in the world.
As she watched the two girls, Katara felt a tear slip down her cheek. She quickly brushed it away, not wanting to interrupt their joy. She knew that Aang would be happy to see the love and laughter that Korra had found, even if he couldn’t be there to witness it himself.
“Master Katara?” Korra turned around and noticed the tears slipping from Katara’s eyes. Asami and her quickly approached her to see how she was. “Is everything okay?”
“Everything is the way it’s supposed to be,” Katara answered, with nostalgia in her voice. (2)
“If you need anything, you know where to find us,” Asami told Katara. The Waterbending master nodded with kindness and let the girls go back to playing in the snow.
Korra and Asami’s laughter echoed around the snow-covered landscape, a beautiful reminder that love, in all its forms, continues to thrive. Katara felt a sense of peace, knowing that while Aang was gone, his spirit lived on, not just in Korra, but in the love and happiness she shared with those around her.
“Live fully, my dear Korra,” Katara whispered to herself. “Cherish every moment, just as I did with Aang.”
***
Water Tribe Kiss: Reference to the famous Eskimo kiss.
This scene (and story) is heavily based on that one Korrasami comic where Korra and Asami's relationship reminds Katara of how she used to be with Aang. (I couldn't find the creator of this story anywhere, but shoutout to them)
My brain did something when I made a post on X/Twitter.
Okay so we’re all familiar with the WLW blue and red dynamic, yes? Okay well look at this picture of Korrasami and Caitlyn and Vi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blue is related to serenity, stability, inspiration, or wisdom, calmness, responsibility, safe, and loyal. Both HIGHLY relate to Caitlyn and Korra especially with Inspiration Responsibility and Safe. Korra is the Avatar and that is a huge responsibility, she has to inspire others, and keep them safe. Caitlyn is an enforcer and must protect everyone and do what is right.
Red relates to power, love, vigor, and beauty (along with other things unrelated to this) Asami has wealth and does things in the name of love. Vi has Vigor (physical strength) and also does things in the name of love. (Yes the beauty applies to both of them but that’s not as important)
Now look at Kit and Jade
Tumblr media
First off when we first meet them Kit is Red Jade is Blue. Kit has power (more than she actually knows) she’s the princess of Tir Asleen so therefore she is one of the most powerful people. She has Vigor (physical strength and good health) she is the Beauty of the kingdom. Her heart is full of Love.
Jade has a responsibility, look after Kit, protect the kingdom. She is loyal to the kingdom and Kit. She keeps Kit safe. She is some how Calm as all hell. But that’s before everything happened.
Tumblr media
When they’re out of the Kingdom the roles are reversed. Kit is Blue Jade is Red. Kit has to find Airk, she has to protect Elora. The whole Kingdom is depending on her. She tries to stay calm, but can’t. She is Loyal to Jade. And wants to keep all the QUESTIES safe. Jade now has the Vigor (strength) she has an upper hand now that she knows who she is (sorta) and where she comes from. She loves Kit and She now has no fear of loving her.
See this is a detail I fucking live for.
