Sci-fi/Fantasy AU, here are some things you should know about Tsukasa, Saki and their alien race :D
Their home is known as Stella (or simply "Star").
People from Stella are mainly known as the Stars People, Stellarians (not used as much but it's used) and Children of the Stars (some will use "of Stella" instead, usually more elderly Stellarians).
Stellarians communicate telepathically, it's a skill that can't be taught, so more often than not, Children of Stella will go on trips with their parents to other places (like Earth) in order to learn the language. It's easier when they're young, the older they are, the less they're able to fully grasp things beyond a "hello" "yes" "no" and "goodbye."
Tsukasa's first trip to Earth with one of his parents resulted in him discovering theater and it became his favorite reason to visit the planet.
He also taught Saki a bit of what he learned language wise before she took her first trip.
That being said, both still struggle to actually speak the language. It's hard to adjust to, especially when they don't seek out someone from Earth to talk to.
Earth has a bit of a rough reputation with Stella. Most Stellarians avoid it because they feel it's a danger. They're not exactly the most easily hidden people. They always have a glow to them, stardust makes their skin and hair twinkle, they're either different shades of blue, yellow or red (Tsukasa and Saki are yellow stars). There's just this belief that, especially from elders who have visited the planet, people from Earth will want to capture them if they see them. And they have a right to feel that considering how often they would see people from Earth capture their own inhabitants because they look different (ex., Haruka being kidnapped as a child and kept in captivity because she's a siren and sirens make a lot of money performing).
When both Tsukasa and Saki visit Earth again, they didn't mean to go at the same time. Tsukasa had left first and Saki had followed, neither knowing that they were both planning on leaving the same day, otherwise they would have gone together.
It's morning when Tsukasa arrives, and evening, near dark, when Rui, Nene and Emu first discover him.
Saki arrives at night and she just happens to be in the exact same area Ichika is.
Rui, Nene and Emu use a mix of charades, writing and speaking when communicating with Tsukasa, while Ichika, for a long time would try to guess what Saki is thinking or trying to tell her. Between Tsukasa and Saki, Tsukasa is the one who will speak more verbally. He knows it a bit better and Saki just finds it easier to express herself telepathically and with her physical abilities.
↑ Speaking of physical abilities, as I mentioned earlier, Stellarians come in shades of blue, red and yellow. Aside from the stardust that makes them twinkle, they always emit a glow that gets brighter or dimmer based on their emotions. Where Ichika doesn't make Saki cover up her glow, using it to see how the other feels, Rui, Nene and Emu make Tsukasa wear a dark cloak with a hood to make sure his glow is hidden. The difference between the two is Ichika and Saki are travelling through a less populated area, while Rui, Nene, Emu and Tsukasa are travelling through very populated areas (villages, town squares, the Shiraishi Kingdom, etc.).
Stellarians travel through light. It's not an automatic thing, they need to actually reach out to it and want to go somewhere. In short , there's a connection that they have access to.
Children need to be watched extra carefully when they're first learning to travel, an adult has to be with them when they learn light travel in case they end up somewhere they didn't mean to go to. Children also have to have an adult with them for the first few years of light travel. Typically a parent or a guardian. When Tsukasa first visited Earth, his parents decided that they would take turns visiting with him while the other stayed with Saki. And once she was old enough, they would visit together. Stellarians begin to light travel alone by the time they would 14-16 in Earth years.

Feature: Saki Hananoi x Fem! Reader (A Condition Called Love)
(I want to do dirty things to Hananoi but he is so damn sweet I just haven't been able to write naughty things for him yet so enjoy the fluff and all in this.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saki Hananoi was such a sweet boy that you have passed over and over again the hallways of school right into ending up in the same college. You had never really spoke to him but always thought he seemed like someone worth knowing but for some reason sometimes he seemed unapproachable. On the day when both of your lives changed it started off as any other. You were leaving class on this day when it was pouring rain outside, you pulled out your umbrella and headed towards the entrance. You happened to see some girl screaming at Hananoi the walking off, you knew this was none of your business so you watched them walk off two different directions.
You let out a soft sigh you know this is why you been single for a few years now you just haven't met a guy who was worth the hassle. You snapped out of your own little world and opened your umbrella and proceeded to walk home. As you were walking you caught a glimpse of someone sitting on the bench in the rain. As you walked closer you realized it was him, it was a chilly day and you knew you should head home but your feet wouldn't let you walk away from this scene. You walked up behind him on the bench and held the umbrella over his head. He looked up at you sadness in his eyes, red nose, flushed cheeks he was sure to catch cold at this rate. His eyes met yours and you had never realized how beautiful his eyes were until you seen them up-close, they were sad but still beautiful. You two stood like this for what seemed like forever before he spoke up. "Thank you."
The only words that he could muster up in the moment, but then again you weren't much better. You were caught off by how sincere his eyes seemed and how sad you couldn't think about what to say. All that came out was a simple..."Hello." After you heard your words you felt so stupid he was thanking you and your mind blurred and you were acting like you just met. You blushed handing him the umbrella, no sooner than he took it you took off running towards your home. You couldn't catch your composure and no man had made you lose track of thought to even communicate. You didn't want to even look back and see if he was following, you didn't stop til you got home unlocked your door and went in. The rest of the night you replayed the scene in your head, and couldn't believe how you reacted.
The next day you were behind on time and running from class to class, as you ran into him throwing you both back, you hitting your head. As you sat up you met his amber eyes, intense but kind. Then you notice he was flushed across the face as he looked away when he met your eyes. Was the first time you had seen a guy blush for you, it left you feeling all warm and fuzzy for a moment. You watched him jump up and fumble to help you to your feet. You met his eyes with a smile and your heart wouldn't slow down all you heard was it pitter patter like it was going to beat out of your chest. You took his hand and he overshot, with pulling to hard and you weren't just back on your feet but you found yourself in his arms.
The millisecond that was there before you both freaked out felt like much, much longer. The moment you were sure you caught his scent and breathed him in before both of you were left blushing hard and fumbling to put space between you two. You looked up at him just enough to see he had his hand trying to cover his face at how embarrassed he was. That moment you couldn't help but smile and introduce yourself the right way. "Thank you, I'm sorry about yesterday but my name is Y/N" He looked up meeting your eyes, as you both realized this was the second meeting there was no way fate wasn't involved. You knew that your life would never be the same the moment Hananoi-kun, stole your heart in this very moment.
From that day you two became pretty inseparable. He would carry your books and walk you from class to class. You had lunch together on the lawn like a picnic everyday, and even your weekends included him being in your dorm watching movies with you or sharing memories. He was intense and most stayed clear of him because of that intensity. However you loved that about him, he was loyal and sweet but most of all he loved with a fierceness very few possess. Although neither of you had spoke of dating or being exclusive it was almost like it didn't even matter because its not like you two had time to talk to anyone else. You were surprised that the rain storm brought you together because he had even admitted in seeing you but not approaching until the wall between you two came tumbling down that night in the rain. You had never loved rain so much until you realized that one night changed it all. Everyday you woke and couldn't wait to get up and dressed because he always walked you to school and home, you didn't want to go a day without him in it now.
After a few weeks of it being all about you two, some of your friends started feeling neglected and want to spend time with you. When bringing it up to Hananoi you could tell he would do anything to make you happy however you could see a uneasiness in his eyes when talking about other people. You had planned that weekend about him getting to meet some of your friends and family nothing big just a few people and a cookout was all it was going to be. He agreed of course but days leading up to it you noticed he wasn't quiet as social as usual with you, and he didn't seem particularly happy. That day approached fast and he came over to your house then you both took the train to your families house.
Soon as you got there you hadn't realized before walking into the house that you had more family and friends than you had thought. Soon as the first guy ran up to you was when you saw a different side to Hananoi. You felt a warm hand grip around you and rest on your shoulder as he pulled you into him. This is how it was the rest of the day he was by your side the whole time and whenever any guys were around especially his hand was around you in a very possessive manner that you didn't even expect him to have. As the night drew to a end a few friends pulled you to the side and asked what the deal with you two were. They said he seemed jealous or possessive as a boyfriend would be.
Sure you saw it but some reason it didn't bother you like it did them. You found it even somewhat endearing how he pulled you close when others were around. This night was the first night he really ever had put his hands on you except the day you fell together in the hallway. You couldn't help but feel the linger of his touch even now when he isn't touching you, and you find you crave it more. As you walked towards the train with him beside you, it was quiet and you didn't know what to say. He was the first to break the silence, he stumbled his words and you both stopped walking as he looked into your eyes. "I know sometimes I can be intense, and I know I have no right when we aren't together. I'm sorry, just I feel like when we are apart I need to recharge and be near you when we are close again. I don't want you to see parts of me you don't like and leave like everyone else." You heard his words, you even heard the abandonment fears in his voice as he spoke. He had told you about his parents and most everyone in his life abandoning him so of course he was worried about losing you too.
He reached up cupping the side of your face, running his fingers down resting them on your chin as he pulls you in possessively without another word his lips capture yours. He had pulled you in when you weren't expecting it, leaving you to gasp but you never pulled away. Even though you two had no title, your heart already knew it wanted him, and this kiss just solidified it. You leaned in meeting his lips tenderly kissing him back to let him feel how you were feeling and let him know with the touch of your hand on the side of his face that you felt the same for him. You closed your eyes as the last thing you saw was him flushing red as you both continued kissing for a few more moments. When you both broke a way you looked up at him and smiled, his face even redder now as he tries to cover it with his hand.
You pull his hand down and smile kindly at him. "It is ok, I like seeing you blush. If it makes it easier and that kiss didn't tell you what it should have. Then let me be the first to tell you, there is no one but you that I'm interested in." Of course he got redder then mumbled a bit. "Then...um. Will y-you be my...girlfriend?" Your heart warmed to his words as you nodded yes. That day brought everything in to place that had already been felt and as you both walked to the train he slid his fingers between yours clasping on to your hand and it felt nice, it felt warm, it felt like you belonged to him. The possessive that other people were scared of was a thing you found sexy about him. You loved that agreeing to be his girlfriend made you feel safe and wanted like no one before him.

BlackStar ~Theater Starless translation
Season 1 – Episode 8:
Chapter 4– I will never lose
(Hari, Kei, Mokuren, Kasumi, Qu, MC)
Kei: Saki, which do you prefer, citrus or mint?
MC: Eh? What are you talking about?
Kei: I'm talking about the scent of the shampoo. If the staff were to use one of those scents, which would you prefer?
Kei: I decided to arrange it as part of the store's customs. The people here lack the self-awareness to properly appear in front of customers.
Mokuren: Soap is enough.
Kasumi: Kei~ do you have some time? There is someone I want you to meet.
Mokuren: It's you again.....
Hari: Please give me your time.
Kei: I'm listening, I have heard you are calling yourself Hari. So then, what do you want from me?
Hari: Please let me join Starless! You have the power to decide, right?
Kei: Hmm, I guess you heard it from Ran, but I have no intention of increasing my crew right now.
Kei: Mokuren, what do you think? Is he necessary?
Mokuren: I don't need him. He will get in the way.
Hari: Guh... [sorry I don't know how to communicate this word lol].
MC: That's a little much to say Mokuren. Please think a little more.....
Mokuren: ......If you want me to think about it. Princess, I do owe you something.
Mokuren: Minimum facilities in the shower room and backyard. It's guranteed because you are here.
Mokuren: That being said.......you [Hari] can't dance, can you? I really don't need that kind of person.
Hari: I haven't even tried yet so you cannot be convinced!
Kasumi: That's right, if that is the case, there is no choice but to give him a chance~.
Hari: That's it! Mokuren, I challenge you to a 'game'.
Mokuren: Are you an idiot? There is no way you can beat me.
Kasumi: You won't know unless you try, right?
Hari: That's correct! If you don't compete, I win by default.
Mokuren: .......Okay then, I'll make you regret it. Kei, please judge us.
Hari: I won't back down. I have a secret strategy to not lose.
Kei: ......Can't be helped. Kasumi, I'll take advantage of your scheme.
Kasumi: Please don't say bad things about others. I'm not planning anything.
Kasumi: Ah, I'm still on a shift! I'll leave the rest to the two of you~.
Kei: Hmm, he ran away.......Okay I'll just ignore him for now.
Kei: MC, should we go? Qu should be at the lesson venue.
MC: Ah, yes.
Mokuren: ........How stubborn.
Kei: ......Do you still want to continue?
Hari: .....No......Not.... yet......I can still do it.
MC: Isn't it better to stop now? Hari, you seem light-headed.
Qu: Can you stop it, Kei? As expected, I will have trouble waking him up.
Mokuren: No, you don't have to stop. He himself says, 'I can still do it'.
Qu: Are you a demon?
Mokuren: It's his wish. I'll dance until he admits to losing.
Kei: Hm, I'm glad you're motivated. There is no need for judging anymore. Let's go, MC.
MC: Eh, but!
Kei: Him doing this means that there is no way to judge. He will never admit defeat.
Hari: I'm enjoying this so much, that I'm not losing......I won't stop such a fun lesson......!
Qu: By calling this a lesson you have the guts to back it up. You are much more stubborn than I thought.
Mokuren: .......It's really annoying. Tell me when you can dance better.
Qu: Even you are having fun. Mokuren, you don't know many words.
Mokuren: Dance is the only word I need. It is enough.
Kei: That's right, your performance is so eloquent. Including the fact that the dancing up until now was different from W's.
Kei: Hari, I allow you access to the backyard. You can use the lesson area as you like.
Hari: I did it.....!
Qu: Ehh. Forgive me Kei, but is it okay? I think Mokuren will do whatever they want [to Hari].
Kei: I don't care, I'll leave him in your care for a while. Feel free to use him as you like.
Mokuren: Hey, wake up, you keep rolling around forever. If you want to die that much, I'll kill you.
Hari: If you can do it.....try to..... Because I won't die easily.
MC: Ahh....Um, Kei, is it okay to leave the two of them like that?
Kei: Qu, the rest is up to you.
Qu: Throwing it all at me? Oh well, good for you that it's Mokuren.....
To be continued.....
Sorry for the late upload, it's my exam period at the minute, so updates will be slow.

for the character ask prompt! what about Keiki?
General opinion/How much I care about them: She's a very solid character and surely part of the reason why WBaWC feels like one of the most-liked recent games! When the full version came out a lot of my friends and mutuals who were past touhou fans but had lost their interest came back thanks to that game specifically, so in my brain she's linked to that moment of shared happiness. I like how she's very much a classic god in terms of personality while being easier to reach than the others thanks to her role to the human spirits. I feel like she'd be easy to talk with, as long as you don't forget she's still a god of course, and I really like characters who act as a bridge of sort between others. She's also definitely unhinged under all that and it's fun to imagine situations where the politeness just goes out of the window.
A ship I love: (puts on my clown makeup again) My favorite Keiki ship is with Okina..... It's pretty high up there in my fav touhou pairings overall too lol. They're both loners and I tend to really enjoy romantic pairings where two people get to feel a bit less lonely together. I just think they'd get along really well! and I like their shared connection to art in general. The two of them crafting something special together is a nice image... It's also funny to imagine Keiki playing along Okina's boasting about her status and her powers as a secret god etc when Keiki is a god herself. She's Keiki's poor little meow meow!!! Oh and I also quite like Keiki/Mayumi too. I wish the fanon interpretation of them as parent/child would die down already... it's a bit sad that they didn't take off on the english speaking side as well as they did in the jp community even though literally everyone asks for more knight/princess wlw ships. It's Right There
A non-romantic relationship that I love: Gotta admit I haven't thought about her sphere of relationships much beyond the ones that also work as romances, but I love the implication that she's Eika's younger sibling if you follow the mythos. Keiki would probably be quite protective of Eika despite being the little sister... And with the recent addition of Hisami I'm really excited to see more fanworks with the characters based on the Nihonshoki/Kojiki (this better not monkeypaw on me). They need to have tea and chat about the old times!!!
The NOTP: It's Yachie/Keiki, sorry guys but I'm a yachisaki believer.....
My biggest headcanon about them: I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned that one in the past but the beast-shaped aura in her portrait looks like a familiar to me! Maybe some kind of fire spirit to help her crafting :)
An idea for a fanwork I would like to make/see about them: I'd like to read a good fic/comic where she interacts with the other beast leaders seriously... I'm so sad she didn't get proper dialogue with Saki or Yuuma despite them being as much of a threat as Yachie. As for something I would like to make myself... A visual retelling of some of Koda Rohan's works (especially Furyubutsu) but with Keiki as the protag is an idea I've had for 2-3 years but if I ever get to it, it'll probably just be little doodles :-)
Something that makes me think of them: Koda Rohan's work again lol (delusional)

Honestly this episode was so weird because the differences in personality between the new and old cures becomes very apparent, but the character designs and voices really make it hard for me to separate or stop comparing them. It's actually really confusing, especially with Saki who sounds much closer to Nagisa than Mai does to Honoka. My knee jerk reaction to Saki and Mai already growing so close in the second episode is that it feels too soon, ig because of how long it took for Honoka and Nagisa to get there... But the circumstances are different, these are different characters, and that's what makes it work. The two of them being equally into each other from the beginning (if for different reasons) also avoides making one of them come off worse than the other- the Honoka and Nagisa fight that led to them becoming friends was great, but as with all their fights, it definitely felt like Nagisa was the one most (or solely) at fault even when they try to make it equal (or it's just my Honoka bias)
These two are real sweet girls though, huh? I think I'm enjoying Saki's pure genki girl energy better than Nagisa's edgier one (genuinely don't know how to describe it- this is a bad description but I can't think of a better one rn), and Mai seems to be more sensitive and introspective than Honoka, which suits her well. As charming as Nagisa's cynicism was, Honoka being the more excited of the two when it came to their role as cures was what initially cinched her as my favorite, and tbh I think Honoka was just more relatable to me in a lot of ways? Saki and Mai both feel relatable to me already, and while rn I think I like Saki better, it's very early on and I can easily see myself flip flopping between the two- that never felt like it was gonna happen with Honoka and Nagisa, so like? Just on the main character front, I think I like these two better as a main duo (remains to be seen if I like whoever ends up being my favorite better than Honoka), they feel a bit more balanced, at least right now. They actually feel younger than Honoka and Nagisa, and I can't quite put my finger on why tbh? Might just be the design. They evoke the same "must protect the cutie" vibe I had with Hikari tbh lol
I forgot to mention it last episode but oh my god, this is another non-practical transformation item!! The card commune was fine- insert one card, open like a flip phone, easy/possible with one hand. The miracle communes basically required two hands because of the spinny opening mechanic, like it was actually really funny how they had to animate it because of that. I'm glad they're back to flip phones with the mix communes, but the two cards and spinning thing is still not really practical- I know they show them doing it one handed, but fr, I can just imagine the difficulties one would have trying to do that irl. Still a step up from the miracle communes at least though! Ngl future seasons not requiring hand holding to transform and thus enabling usage of both hands is likely for the best lol, as they can probably make cooler things that still work and make sense. I doubt any kids watched the show and thought "this is impractical", but I'm watching it and thinking about what it'd be like playing along with the merch and. Absolutely no way kids were able to smoothly imitate the show with these lmao. It's a cool concept but it feels too finicky for how and what you're meant to do with it.
Oh also I love the sparkly powering up of the limbs, it's so silly!! I feel like I like the magic related aesthetics (the transformations and attacks) of this season better in general- tbf I liked Max Heart's much less than those of the first season, so it's an immediate jump in quality/enjoyment for me, but I think I might just like them the best of all three seasons? Honestly I think having a more tangible theme is really helping to make it all look cooler- Black and White actually mostly dealt in rainbows, which makes a certain degree of sense ig, but even when they stuck to monochrome with Marble Screw, Max Heart really messed it up sadly. Bloom and Egret's magical stuff so far feel more cohesive with their respective themes in a way I really enjoy! The individuality comes at the cost of being as complementary as Black and White were (but honestly, what other concept could be?), but earth and sky still works, and I like that they each get to have their own thing now!

might i be so bold as to ask for ship hcs
I'm assuming this is about Survive specifically
And here's how I'm gonna do this
I'm just gonna write 2-3 hcs for EVERY ship that I know exists in this fandom regardless of whether or not I ship it
IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER:
Takuma x Kaito
Kaito's legitimate first reaction to realizing he liked Takuma was "SHIT, WHY?" He lost all sense of how to talk to him like "normal" and could hardly get through a single conversation without getting flustered and panicky. Literally the worst thing to ever happen to him as far as he was concerned at the time.
They hardly act like a couple in public but damn are they clingy in private. Kaito's like a cat that will lie on top of whatever you're reading (or smash something) if Takuma isn't paying attention to him.
100% of PDA when it does happen is a direct result of Takuma being a bully. Kaito will be mad at him for the rest of the day, but that never stops him.
Takuma x Minoru
They're that couple that was dating for a year before they realized they were dating bc falling in love came super naturally and happened really slowly over time.
Rather than any form of actual confession, one day Minoru was just like "Hey, are we like...boyfriends?" and Takuma said yes.
They have matching bracelets.
Takuma x Aoi
Their friends joke about Aoi being out of Takuma's league.
They act the most like an embarrassing high school romcom couple, constantly flustered and unsure of how to approach the other.
Takuma continues to somehow accidentally forget that Aoi is a girl sometimes and ruins moments with very Dumb Boy remarks. Thankfully, she finds this endearing rather than annoying.
Aoi x Saki
Of all couples, they're the one that would take the longest to get together. Between Aoi's general anxiety and Saki's fear of losing friends, Labramon and Floramon practically had to force them to confess.
Saki often has to reassure Aoi that she really does like her and wouldn't change her for the world.
To that end, Saki likes bragging about Aoi. A lot. It's kind of annoying (affectionate).
Aoi x Kaito
They both help each other to be more like the other. Aoi needs to be more assertive, Kaito needs to communicate better, and they're both very patient in helping each other work through their hang ups.
They practice hairstyles on each other sometimes. One time Kaito gave Aoi a cute clip that he originally got for Miu before she started wearing that hat all the time and never had the heart to throw away. She treasures this.
Their friendship got off to a super rocky start, both thinking the other really didn't like them, but once they started getting along, they got really close really fast.
Aoi x Minoru
Take what I said about Takuma being dumb with girls and multiply it by 50.
A real opposites attract couple, Minoru's optimism and Aoi's groundedness balance each other out, and they're both better for it.
Minoru x Ryo
"He's so goddamn annoying." "So you don't like him?" "No wtf I love him." They're the couple that shocked all their friends when they got together because everyone legitimately thought Ryo couldn't stand Minoru.
One time Minoru felt guilty about always teasing his bf so much so he tried to dial it down, but all that accomplished was making Ryo think he did something wrong and get really upset. This mistake was never repeated.
Ryo is the jealous type bc Minoru gets along with too many people too well. He doesn't act on it, just kinda sulks and pouts. Minoru thinks it's cute.
Ryo x Shuuji
Funniest "how I fell in love" story ever. Shuuji's been down bad ever since the day Ryo decked him in the face.
It started as a one-sided crush, with Shuuji really admiring Ryo's strength and dedication to his partner. These feelings caused him to unconsciously seek Ryo out more often and keep trying to get to know him better, at which point Ryo started developing feelings of his own.
Their favorite thing about each other is how easy it is to talk about the ugly sides of themselves without feeling afraid or judged.
Miu x Saki
The more they got to know each other, the more they realized how much they have in common, until they eventually got really excited to spent time together.
All masks are off together, and they make each other feel safer in being their true selves than they ever thought they could be.
One time Saki had a calm and honest talk with Kaito about why he needs to leave Miu alone more often, and it actually helped. If Miu wasn't enamored before, she sure was then.

First it hurts— Chapter IV
Summary:
Naoya Zen’in x Fem!Reader
While arranged marriages are not uncommon in the jujutsu community, it was strange to receive a proposal from none other than the Zen’in’s, nonetheless your clan accepted and before you knew it, you were married off to Naoya.
Your new purpose was clear: to serve and submit, to be seen and not heard. To forget any sense of individuality in favor of obeying your husband.
Will this marriage ever flourish into something else? Will it change…for better or for worse?
Chapter warnings: Explicit content. NON-CON This isn’t supposed to be enjoyable like, at all. Violence. Tears. Misogyny. And basically Naoya being a jerk.
A/N: Don’t have much to say, except that this is my first time writing smut. I hope you can excuse my beginner-ness.
Masterpost ➸ Chapter 5.
Ao3 link.
Tumblr media
“Your items have been transferred to your chambers; we’ve also informed your father of your arrival” The woman in the blue yukata, whose name was Aya, referred to your husband, not glancing at your direction even if those items pertained to you as well.
The sister’s actions had left you speechless in thought until you finally placed all the pieces together: You were intentionally being iced out by the nakai and Naoya.
Sure, it was not the first time you’ve encountered rude servers before —and it’ll certainly not be the last—, but you’d expected they would show more respect to their patron.
But to them you were not a patron. You were Naoya’s wife, and you didn’t know if that was for better or worse.
You tried to understand their thinking, all things considered, it was probably what they’ve been taught since they were born —according to the rumors—: that the role as a Zen’in woman was to be seen, not heard, to serve and submit.
You had no voice, and any inquiries from your part were received with silence from either Aya, the oldest of the two who was more comfortable in showing her displease for you or Saki who was warmer than her older sister but distant to you either way, and all because in this bizarre concept of marriage, he was the one in charge of making the decisions.
Nonetheless, as peculiar as their behavior was, there was still one question that lingered on the back of your head: why was Naoya so adamant in hiding the gentle nature he reflected back at the reception.
Was it all a farse?
Aya’s gravelly voice would sometimes bring you back into reality, forcing yourself to attend to her words, only to discover she still referred to your husband. Her actions sent a spang of discontent through your chest, perhaps out of enthusiasm to please or to be recognized as the legitimate wife of the future Zen’in heir, and thus, to be treated as such.
But instead of fighting for your place, you would silently release a sigh of disappointment and plunge back into your daydreams. It was battle you’d sit out just this once.
“Good” Naoya voiced, approving of their service. “I don’t want anyone to interfere us during these two weeks we’re going to be here. Any calls from my father, or anyone else for that matter, will be diverted”
As he followed Aya into their shared chambers, his mind grudgingly went to his father.
Naobito made it clear that if his son were to marry a woman from the L/N clan, they were to conceive an heir on their honeymoon. More than desperation of guaranteeing the leadership would pass on to Naoya, he wanted to prove if the L/N genes were as remarkable as promised. Your role as a woman will be defined once you bring a child into this world.
And while Naoya had no objections of producing heirs with you, as the act of intimacy was appealing to him, he had no intentions of having a child just yet.
He wanted to relish on his wife’s attention for a bit longer before he impregnated her and discarded her to finish her obligations as the mother of the next heir.
Maybe he would designate nannies to take care of the child as to not remain unattended by his wife, and once they were old enough for your attention to dwell on your beloved husband once more, he would impregnate you again, beginning a never ending-cycle.
All of course, if you’ve proven yourself capable of carrying strong sorcerers into his lineage.
The prospect of having you underneath him, submissive and eager to please him —as you should— made his cock stir and his mind curse the women for taking too long to show him his chambers.
Fortunately, he did not have to wait much longer, for his prayers were heard when the two women abruptly stopped at the regal entrance of what would be his shared chambers.
Saki kneeled beside the door, placing her slender fingers over the shoji and carefully sliding it open. She nodded and Naoya trailed inside, you were to follow when Aya abruptly came between the two and scoffed at your facade. You blinked rapidly trying to process at the action that just occurred before you, astonished by her incredulous behavior.
This was a new low. You could understand not being liked for being an outsider, but you were still a wife and demanded respect.
You waited for Saki to inflict the same disorderly behavior, but was instead received with an unspoken apology through her relaxed eyes. You shook your head quickly as to brush off the unsavory experienced and stepped inside.
To say the room was graciously decorated was no exaggeration. Whoever was in charge of arranging such setting deserved praise.
The chamber was spacious enough to accommodate a small wooden dinner table, accompanied by chairs of the same material. There were two small couches to lounge on and accommodate guests if they so desired. At the end there was a spacious window that allowed the rural scenery to be admired.
There was an empty room attached to the right of the living room for the guests to mold to their own necessities. And to the left, the bedroom, just as spacious as the two previous rooms.
The bedroom remained relatively modest in comparison to the living room. It was the private space of the newly wedded couple that no other would be able to enter, thus the nakai found no use in decorating in an extravagant manner.
Nonetheless, the bedroom was far from disappointing.
It was graced by a large closet, larger than the one at home you mused, as you started imagining all kinds of things that you would be able store away.
A window on the left far side permitting the beautiful scenery outside to impose once more, a small table with 2 cushions to sit on and finally, the most evident decoration of the room: one large painting reflecting the ryokan during spring season.
This was a new level of luxury you’ve never experienced before, although your family was rich enough to afford said commodities, they often preferred to remain modest when it came to decorating personal quarters.
But as you found yourself to be in uncharted territory, Naoya seemed to dwell all to comfortably in these settings, as he confidently stepped inside the bedroom, finding satisfaction on having the futon already laid out for use.
“We assumed you would be tired from the trip, so we went ahead and laid the futon for you” Aya said “The bathroom down the hall to the left, if you wish to take a bath before proceeding, or you can use the thermal waters just outside the building, either are already prepared”
“Would you like me to bring some refreshments?” Saki added to which Naoya shrugged.
“Water is fine”
Saki now looked to you.
“Oh, um…water as well, please”
The youngest of the servers nodded and swiftly exited the room. Your husband asked Aya a few more questions regarding the weather in the upcoming days before finally dismissing her. He waited until her steps were no longer heard to turn around and face you.
You straightened up in fear and froze, waiting for his next words.
Naoya looked up and down your figure, disapproving of your coat covering what he’s been craving.
“Strip” he ordered; his stance unaffected.
“Pardon?” your blurted out. You heard him well, simply wanting reassurance from his unexpected words, or rather, crude ones. Naoya’s frown deepened.
“I won’t repeat myself, strip”
You somehow assumed he only meant the coat, and you carefully pulled your arms from the sleeves and headed towards the closet to discard the coat on a hanger.
Sliding the doors open, your eyes darted through the clothes in hopes of seeing which of your items would you’d be graced with during your stay, only to find that none of the objects there belonged to you.
“Where are my clothes?” you murmured while sliding the closet door shut, you have yet to catch Naoya’s intentions, instead completely focusing on the filthy thought of having to wear the same dress during the two weeks stay at the ryokan. “I thought I would have my items delivered by now…”
But your husband was neither concerned nor interest. Nothing else mattered, not when he had you just where he wanted.
Naoya ignored your question and walked towards you, pressing his hands against your waist and his hips against yours, efficiently trapping you with his body against the now closed closet. A prominent hardness against your bottom made you whimper in fear for the sudden action, much to Naoya’s liking.
“Now, y/n, did you think we would need clothes for what we’re about to do... now that we’re alone?”
Even if you knew this was bound to happen, no amount of preparation could compare to the real thing. You froze, speechless at his actions, but evidently frightened by how fast all of this was occurring.
“I-I’m not ready” You pleaded, perhaps if you admitted your inexperience in these matters, he would take pity on you and wait until you were prepared. But such gesture was not natural for Naoya, and your admittance of innocence incited an impulse he was all too familiar with. He pressed his hardening erection further into your bottom, earning another whine from you “stop—"
“Oh, my beloved, am I to be your first one?” He cooed between the trail of kisses he placed upon your jaw down to your neck. His hands pulled you impossibly closer to his hard chest, as they began to travel upwards to your breasts, which filled his hands just the way he liked, and proceeding to lewdly knead them. You let out a constricted moan, which was covered by your hands swiftly landing on your mouth.
Your legs trembled as his hands travelled down to your hips and finally at the edge of your skirt. Naoya lifted your dress by the seams, just enough to reveal your modest underwear. His nimble fingers slithered under the fabric, landing on your wet entrance, prodding his index inside your tight hole.
His actions pushed another high-pitched cry out of your mouth as your entrance tightened in feeble efforts to keep him away.
“You’re not as wet as I expected, but I can fix that” Naoya husked against your ear causing you to recoil against his embrace. His words combined with the scissoring movements of the two fingers now inside your cunt, all while your body was being invaded by a new hint of pleasure, made your thoughts blur and your slit dampen even more “you’re mine”
To take your virginity was not only a privilege he deserved as your rightful husband, but it was his right.
Naoya believed he deserved only a pure, virgin woman as a wife. He would not settle for anything less, so when he found your untouched status —even with boyfriends previous to this marriage— he was more than pleased. Had your womanhood been compromised, the engagement would’ve been affected, not as heavily as Naoya still wanted you, but it would’ve damaged the negotiations one way or another.
Your husband began another trail of hot kisses starting from your earlobe, down to your jaw, and finally passing by your neck to end on your collarbone not without giving a strong bite into your skin, one that would undoubtedly leave a red mark, a bruise that will darken as the night went on: a dent proving his ownership over your body.
You tried peeling yourself off from Naoya has he kept biting down on your skin, but your strength could not compare to his and you found yourself submissive to his demands once again. With his strong arms now wrapped around your figure, he began pulling you towards the futon, careful enough to evade tripping, but with enough force to keep your struggling body subdued.
Once by the futon, Naoya pushed you down with enough force for your body to reflect a loud thud against the tatami floor, causing the pleasure he was giving you to be replaced by pain. A flame of abhorrence towards your abuser began to light in the depths of your mind, a sensation so repulsive that fueled your need of survival as you continued to struggle against him.
The scorching sensation of the fall spread across your hips to your lower back, but with no benefit of stopping you from trying to escape. You quickly tried regaining your posture and began sliding away from him with the eager work of your legs. But your husband proved to be much faster than what you anticipated and with the swift grasp of his hand on your ankle, he pulled you close to him, aiming on straddling you.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Once he thought you encased under his legs, he began undressing, revealing his chiseled body in the process, one that allured many women in the past but currently only earned your indifference.
He’d been with willing women who were entrapped by the sight of him stripping bare and revealing his toned body —a result of his many years of training— his attractiveness, alongside the riches under his name, ignited a darker shade of desire that led his partners to eagerly help him undress, anything to fasten his actions and have him buried deep inside them. Something he was all too willing to provide.
Your husband couldn’t deny that he wasn’t disappointed in your lack of enthusiasm to replicate the actions of his previous lovers, but he didn’t let the feeling linger too long as he gazed down onto your reddened countenance. Your eyes were prominently glossed with anger, he had no doubt your mind was manufacturing thousands of ways to escape his grasp, but if he looked long enough, he was able to figure out a subtle shade of fear and lust.
What Naoya savored more than being admired, was to be feared. And your hidden emotion reassured him of his dominance over you, a weakness he was more than enthusiastic to exploit.
“The women I’ve fucked before are usually a bit tamer than you are. But don’t worry” he sinfully rasped while leaning forward, his face now only a mere inch away from yours as he unblocked his belt “I know the perfect wife isn’t found, she’s trained”
Shoving the belt away from his hands unto the right corner of the room, his hands trailed to the seams of your dress and forcefully ripped them apart, revealing your modesty.
“No!” You growled, hands flying to cover whatever was left of your reserve. Adrenaline took over your body, reaffirming your desperation to defend yourself from his attack as your legs thrashed against his straddle. Naoya gave no attention to your weak attempts of escape as he lowered his lips onto yours, locking them in a possessive kiss where his tongue probed your hesitant lips, as if looking for permission to enter your warm cavern.
But permission wasn’t something that Naoya often asked for, so in between your struggles, he managed to slip his tongue inside your mouth, his teeth clanking against yours earning a groan of discomfort.
With his tongue deepening its presence over your mouth, you lifted your hands from your breasts and attempted to push him off by the shoulders. You pushed and pushed as much as you could, but the man did not seem to budge, if anything, it seemed he moved closer, the heat of his groin now caressing your pubic mound with undeniable desire, causing a rising panic as you searched for other ways to remove him.
You were driven to try with your legs, but his grasp on them was as equally strong. Nonetheless, it didn’t stop you from moving and thrashing underneath his control in attempts to weaken his core and rattle his grip on you.
One of your legs had managed to ramp up and sharply hit his groin, your action effectively freezing Naoya’s kiss. You darted your eyes to his, looking for the slightest hesitation on his part to finally slide out of his control, but what you found made you immediately regret your actions.
His eyes were quickly covered in a shade of anger, the darkest shade you’ve seen in your life, it wasn’t even remotely close to the irritation you’ve seen in your upset father or disappointed sister, no, it was a whole new level of enragement that quieted your scuffle.
His right hand shot against your left cheek, a loud slap echoing across the room, your head contorted to the opposite direction of the impact. Your breath remained still as the burning sensation of pain made itself known across your cheek down to your tightening chest, eyes watering once more while snot began to leak down your nose, the sob you tried so hard to bury leaked out through a constrained moan. His actions had left you dazed with horror, but has your mind galloped a thousand miles per second, there was only one question that resonated inside your head:
Did Naoya just hit me?
While Naoya usually enjoyed the thrill of subduing an errant woman under his control, your insistent actions had shifted from amusing to insufferable, he was willing to put up with them for your first night, but when you unwittingly injured him, all remaining self-control was shoved out the window and his eyes saw red.
He knew he had to put you in your place, for Naoya was not a shy man when it came to placing his foot down when it came to reassuring his position and taking what belonged to him and your virginity being no exception.
“The nerve, you whore” Naoya darkly muttered, his gaze now on the last piece of fabric that covered your modesty. His roaming hands loomed over your bra and in less than 3 seconds, he had ripped the cloth apart. Only this time, you sobbed while remaining motionless, still dazed by the aggression he had instilled upon you. “I’m done with your feeble attempts of escaping; you should’ve given up the moment you signed your name on the marriage certificate”
Your immobile figure and quiet cries gave him the confirmation he needed to continue ravaging your body. Naoya licked his lips in approval and leaned down to kiss your lips once again, lacking of the gentleness he had graced you with back at the wedding ceremony, while rubbing your member against your gushing cunt. Disgust filled your throat as his protruding warmth made itself known against your tight entrance.
“I don’t want to hear a single word coming out of your mouth” he threatened when he separated his lips from yours “Unless you’re enjoying the way I’m about to fuck you, then that’s another story” Your husband laughed, the sound imminently engraved in your mind, a sound that will haunt you for the rest of your life as a reminder of your defilement.
You inwardly begged the gods to be merciful with you and kill you this very moment as the frightening sensation of a warm length rubbing against your entrance became clear. If it meant a by an avalanche, the foundations of the building crumbling down onto you, or a heart attack, you didn’t care. Anything would be better than having to lay underneath this miserable man wrecking your figure.
You knew once he was done, you would be nothing but the shell of a graceful woman trapped in a twisted marriage powered by the atrocious political games of your clan.
Your mind began darting guilt amongst your closest ones for allowing such tragedy to occur in your life.
How could your father allow this? Why didn’t your sister fight harder for your freedom? Why did your brother abandon you? Why couldn’t you stand up to this monster?
Sinking deeper into misery, your husband aligned his now wet cock against your tight entrance as he raised your legs over his hips. You squeezed your eyes shut, a false attempt in deceiving your mind into obliviousness, perhaps if you wished it hard enough, you would not feel a thing and your encounter with this man would remain unrecorded.
But such mercy was not to be graced unto you, and once Naoya’s tip pushed through your tight cavern all the way down to your cervix, you left out a painful screech.
You haven’t been able to see his member, but by the obtrusive stretch your vagina was forced unto, you assumed he was big. His protuberant arrival had caused you unbelievable pain and fear, wanting nothing more than the earth to swallow you whole or to regain your strengths to at least go down with a fight. But his slap had effectively drained all efforts out of your body, leaving behind the soulless body of an abused woman.
And your mind seemed to work alongside Naoya, as thoughts of self-deprecation began to fill your notions. How could you stop fighting for your freedom? How could you give up and allow this man to take what’s yours, without a single ounce of resistance? It seemed you were more than willing to let a stranger soil your body, almost as if you were expecting this—
Naoya had no mind of the inner turmoil unfolding inside your head, nor would he care if he was made aware of it. For all he cared was his own pleasure and need to mark you as his own.
After he believed he had given you just enough time to accommodate his length, his hips began to speed up in a tormenting way, pulling all the way out, only a few inches still inside your cavern, until finally plunging forward and striking your cervix with the tip of his member. Each hit caused you to cry out in pain, your sounds only causing him to shower you with cruelty, instead of the pity you still foolishly hoped he would offer you.
It was evident he had no consideration for your pleasure or comfort as his movements only grew in speed and force, his forte even reflected in the moving futon underneath.
Realizing he no longer had to subdue you, his hands roamed over your chest, pinching and twisting your protruding nipples —all thanks to the cold weather— his actions only adding to your whines. The sight of your runny makeup and messy hair fueled his member to harden more and reach a level of pleasure he’d never thought capable in obtaining, less by an unwilling bride.
It didn’t take long for Naoya to find —in between hungry thrusts— the spot that would unravel any shy woman. He had suspected his encounter occurred far sooner judging by the gentle fluttering of your cunt around his cock, but it wasn’t until a particular harsh thrust that caused you to moan obscenely that he was sure he’d found your sweet spot.
All of his lunges were now directed into that one place that had you shivering, and by each hit he scored on your gummy walls, you left out a louder and louder cry that only skyrocketed his desire for you.
Naoya was pleased by your performance and was sure he had to reward you, and what better than to give you the pleasure only a man could offer?
His right-hand fingers detached from your bouncing breasts and landed onto your clit, his index finger gently rubbing against it as if to tests the waters of your reactions: you left out an involuntary moan of pleasure that abruptly brought you back to reality of what was about to transpire.
You had expected him to remain focused on his personal pleasure, with the exception of his nimble fingers around your breasts and neck. To say you were shocked by his intentions of tainting the last of your intimacies with his touch felt short to what you were truly feeling.
You wordlessly begged he wouldn’t continue his circular motions of your small bud, but by now you should’ve known that whatever you pleaded on Naoya to not do, he would do the exact opposite.
The unfortunate woman looked down at his rubbing hand with tearful eyes and a silent plead to leave her alone.
“Oh?” Naoya grinned he noticed your teary gaze upon him, quickening the motions of his digits “Do you like that, my dear wife?”
You shook your head, but your constricting cunt signaled him otherwise. Your body betraying your inner motions of disgust against your husband.
“Don’t lie to me” He pushed forward, his finger now painfully pressing against your clit as if dictating punishment “I can feel your lewd cunt squeezing me” Naoya returned to his circular motions once your face had shown displeasure against his chastisement and your cunt contracting to greater lengths much to his pleasure.
“D-don’t” you gently voiced, just above a whisper, but just enough for him to hear.
He was getting close; you were getting him close. And he could feel he was obtaining the same effect on you. There was a tightening coil on your stomach, a familiar sensation due to your private endeavors, and did what was in your hands to prevent it from dissolving into pleasure tainted by Naoya’s interventions.
“Are you close, my wife?” he teased through a breathy moan, his lips lingering over your left ear. His warm breath and carnal noises brought another tingly sensation you were adamant in destroying before it moved down to your cunt “I can feel----hng” he groaned in rhythm of his lazy thrusts “I can feel you tightening up even more…ah…. I’m afraid I’m getting there as well”
Lost in the sensations of his thrusting hips, swollen clit, and warm breath of your husband, you’ve forgotten the risk that entailed finishing inside your warm hole.
Naoya didn’t intend in spilling inside you at the beginning, wanting to avoid the risk of pregnancy the most he could, but once your cunt began tightening his cock in an entrancing manner, he knew he had to experience your fluttering cunt around him once you came as well.
He made it his mission for the two of you to finish at the same time.
“Y-Y/n” he stuttered, his fingers swiftly stroking your clit, causing your cunt to squeeze even harder. “I’m cuming”
“Stop!” you desperately demanded, slowly regaining your will to fight. You placed your hands once again over his shoulders and fought to peel him off your body, but Naoya having previously gone through the same predicament, temporarily removed his fingers from your clit and embraced your figure stopping your attempts by swiftly pulling you up.
You were now seated over his lap, effectively riding him with gravity your body deeper into his member. The strange sensation causing you to wantonly moan against his neck as Naoya pulled you closer to him with his strong arms.
“I’m going to cum inside you” He groaned dangerously, his hips achieving a new level of speed you thought impossible to obtain even in this position “I’m going to fill you up. I’m going to fill you up with my seed” Naoya rambled as a mad man drunken in lust. Your cunt had gotten him to that point, without even finishing he already intended in taking you again, just to experience that suffocating pleasure once more.
His contorted face of pleasure and hot words against your skin obtained the result you tried so hard to prevent: a fire pooling low in your abdomen, signaling the closeness of your orgasm.
“You’re going to have my…hhnnh, my baby” he smirked, evidently lost in pleasure “I’m going to put a baby inside you”
“N-No..! D-don’t---!” You thrashed in his grasp once more before Naoya gave the final thrust.
His member twitched a few instances before releasing his warm seed into the depths of your cervix. Desperately seeking your touch, he lifted your face to his and sealed his orgasm with a passionate kiss. You did not have enough energy to fight against his intruding tongue, the wet member dominating your tongue, leaving no spot untainted.
The burning sensation of his cum shooting inside you was effort enough to bring your orgasm forth and you cried at the shattering wave of pleasure travelling across your body. Your gaze turned black and your mouth laid open against his as you lewdly panted of pleasure trying to regain your breath, curling your toes, your arms flew around Naoya’s shoulders and tightening him in a strong embrace, as if looking for a sturdy pillar to rely on while your body quivered at the sensation.
Once you stabilized, Naoya leisurely slid out of your enthralling tightness, lowering your body down to the futon and plummeting besides you as to regain his breath. Although that hardly constituted as the best orgasm he had in his life, there was always room for improvement and this was an experience he would not forget.
The first night he spent with his bride.
As your gummy walls held his potent seed, a promise of pregnancy appeared on the back of his mind as his head curved to see your fucked-silly countenance. He should’ve pulled out, but your tightening heat was too good to pass, so he allowed his carnal desires to paint your insides. He’d deal with your pregnancy later.
Naoya’s eyes lowered down to your legs and finally to your feet, where a proud smirk made way to his lips. His ego went through the ceiling upon noticing your curling toes, a scene far too familiar thanks to his womanizing ways, it served as a reminder of his knowledge of the female anatomy and the unspoken achievement of bringing you down.
It was a sight he looked forward to every night.
It took you a few minutes before you could regain your breath and conscience, the reality of the hostility that transpired finally setting unto your mind. Your self-hatred deepened when you realized you had involuntarily enjoyed the orgasm Naoya brought up with his actions.
Tears weren’t hesitant in forming on your eyes once more as you turned to your right side, back facing to your husband, enveloping in disgust for your own body as you quietly sobbed against your palm. The sensation of leaking semen trailing out of your hole down to the futon made you cry even harder.
Naoya’s threat for silence no longer worried you, as you did not believe he could do anything worse than what he had already done.
He had stepped over your boundaries, discarded your feelings, tainted your intimacy and all that was left is an empty, broken vessel.
But even then, it was not enough for him.
Once Naoya thought he had given enough time for the two to recover, his body creeped next to yours and cuddled against your back, a gesture that would’ve been sweet if the couple loved each other, but coming from him only meant peril.
His then-soft member hardened against the cleft of your ass and he pressed his body closer to yours, his hands roaming around your waist and chest once again.
“We’re far from done, wife” he whispered against your ear, his words indicating another terror you were not ready to go through again and your throat constricted with abhorrence.
Naoya’s arms manhandled you up into your hands and knees, the view of his semen sliding down your hole sent a jolt of pleasure to his hardening cock as he kneaded your ass, spreading your cheeks to see in greater detail the leakage before him.
Once accommodated to his liking, his right hand aligned his hard member into your entrance, slowly pushing inside your burning tightness with a low groan.
“I’ll take you from behind this time” He threatened “but don’t worry, we’ll get through all the positions”
He sharply thrusted against your cervix once his large rod reached your end.
“After all, we’re going to be here for days”

Like Caramel For Chocolate- An Omega Bakugou x Alpha f!Reader fic. Part 3.
Part 1- Here
Previous part Here
Next Part Here
Content Warning: Negative headspace, omegaverse, self deprecation, depressive thoughts, pushy parental figures, ambiguous omegaverse reproduction, unhealthy relationships, relationship that could be easily fixed if idiots would use their words and communicate, Shinso/Denki side relationship
Where we left off-
You glanced up at the sound of the door. In came your parents, then the Yokomadas. You did a double take as the final person, the omega you were here to meet, entered the room. They looked equally as startled as your eyes locked.
“Y/N?”
“Denki?!”
You slowly walked through the teahouse garden, your electric blond friend oddly silent as he kept pace with you. Your parents and the Yokomadas had allowed the two of you a bit of privacy to talk. So far, neither of you had mustered the courage to break the awkward atmosphere. Neither your parents or the Yokomadas had seemed to pick up on Denki or your mood. If anything, they were thrilled you two already knew each other. With a sigh, you sat on a bench by the koi pond, not looking at the blond as to settled down next to you. After several minutes, he spoke.
“So. What are you doing here?”
You snorted, and gently dumped your shoulder against his.
“Right back at you, Pikachu.”
“I’ll tell you. After you tell me.”
You chuckled humorously, and tilted your head back to look at the sky.
“Would you believe me if I said I was just here to appease my mother?”
Denki considered for a moment before shaking his head.
“No. You’ve been saying no to her for years. So tell me, why are you here.”
You take a deep breath and let it out again slowly through your nose.
“I… I think I wanted to be here. Needed to.” You wrung your hands, throwing a sideways glance at Denki. “I… I want to be mated. Have a family. Have someone who needs me and lets me need them. I used to think Kat… I used to think Bakugou was my person. But I’m not sure anymore, Denks. You know what he’s like and so do I, but I’ve waited for years, and nothing, and I’m so tired, and I’m not even sure he even likes me anymore, and…” You’re stopped by Kaminari gently rubbing your back.
“Breath, Y/n. Come on. Deep breaths.”
You inhaled shakily. You hadn’t even noticed you’d been hyperventilating. Quiet settled again, aside from the sounds of nature and your slowly slowing breathing. After a few moments, you spoke again.
“I’m just so lonely, Denks. I see him every day, and I’m still so goddamn lonely. So I think… I think it’s time to let go.” Your lips twitched slightly upward as you tilt your head to look at him. “Am I terrible?”
Denki huffed out a breath and shook his head. “You? Never.” He sighed, removing his hand from you back as he began picking at the hem of his sleeve. “I wish I could say I didn’t understand. But I do. I’m kinda here for the same reason after all.”
You gave an encouraging hum and reached out, taking his hand in yours and running your thumb over his knuckles. He interlaced your fingers, giving a squeeze before continuing to speak.
“You know how I feel about Shinso, right?”
“I think everyone but Shinso knows how you feel about him.”
Denki snorted. “Yeah. Not surprised. But that’s the problem. I’ve liked him for years. Little bit of a crush but at UA, thought I could play it cool and it would go away; but then the agency paired us together and, well.” Denki gestured with the hand not holding yours. “It was so easy! I’d go boom! And then he’d go pow! Then shoom! It was amazing! He was amazing… And so I tried to get his attention. I tried so damn hard. And you know me.”
You snorted, giving his hand a squeeze. “You’re about as subtle as a brick through a living room window.”
“Exactly!” He shouted, pulling away to stand up and pace. “I flirted. I used all my best pick up lines. I asked him out to the club, and he said yes. But do you know what he said afterward? He said though it wasn’t his usual scene, it was really good being able to hang out with a friend. I… I asked him to spend my heat with me.”
You inhaled sharply. Kaminari looked at you with an expression you hardly recognized. He collapsed onto the bench, leaning heavily against you.
“He said ‘I’m glad you’re that comfortable with me, but it probably would be better for you to ask someone else.’” Denki whispered, sniffling.
“Oh.. Denki.” You wrapped your arms around the blond, squeezing him tightly. Half out of instinct, you tried to pump out soothing pheromones while you gently scented his hair. “He doesn’t know what he’s missing, sweetheart. You’re a wonderful omega!”
That was all it took for Denki to start sobbing heavily in your arms. You squeezed him tightly as tears filled your own eyes. The tears fell when Denki wrapped his arms around you, hugging you just as tightly as you held him. There in the tranquil garden you both huddled together as you finally allowed yourself to cry. Years of hurt and longing fell from your eyes one drop at a time.
You weren’t sure how long it had been when the two of you slowly pulled away from each other. You used your thumbs to wipe Denki’s cheeks. He gave you a halfhearted smile.
“So,” you asked tentatively, “what should we do? They’re going to expect an answer from us about this whole…” You waved a vague hand “Marriage date thing.”
Denki hummed, puffing up his cheeks as he blew out a breath. “God, I don’t know. Certainly wasn’t expecting it be you, you know? No offense.”
You drew back, gasping in mock anger. “Full offense!” You could only hold your expression a few seconds before you started snickering.
Denki grinned his first really grin of the day. “Well excuuuuse me for insulting your alpha sensibilities.”
“You’re excused. For now.”
You both chuckled. Looking out at the pond, you spoke again. “I just wish I had the right answers. And I really wish we had more time.”
Denki furrowed his brow. “Well… Technically, we could.”
“What do you mean?”
Denki bounced on his seat. “Okay. So. Hear me out. We both need time to process, clearly. Also clearly, our families are just not gonna give us that. So… Why don’t we do this?”
“Wait. Wait. We do this?” you asked, both curious and incredulous.
“Yeah! Think about it. One! They mainly want us in relationships they approved of. They set us up, so clearly, they approve. Two! If we say we’d like to try out this match, they obviously aren’t going to set up any more dates; therefore buying us time. And bonus of no annoying randos. Three! We can say we’re going to take the relationship slow because we’ve both been burned before and want to make sure. Four! Four…” Denki trailed off, looking at his feet.
“Four is maybe if we can’t find a love match at least we’re friends who work well together?” You murmured.
Denki nodded, glancing at you with a rueful smirk. “Yeah. Exactly. Vibe on the same wavelength. Hell, we even want similar shit in life.”
“Actual house, few pets, stability…”
Denki nodded again. “Sucks, but would make sense for us to consider it. As much as I fucking hate the ‘You’re not getting any younger’ speech, they are kind right. We can’t waste all our time waiting for things that aren’t gonna happen.”
You shook your head with a chuckle. “God, don’t you hate it when they’re right about shit like that?”
“You have no idea.”
You stood, stretching. “Well, I guess we go tell them, then.”
Denki groaned. “There isn’t enough saki in the world for that conversation.”
“And just so we’re clear, this stays between us for now, right? No one knows but us, our folks, and I guess your cousins.”
“Agreed. I don’t want to think about what anyone would say. Bakugou would kill me!”
You winced. “Unlikely. I doubt he’d care. But if Mina finds out, everyone will know.”
“You’re not kidding. No worries from me, I don't want this getting out any more than you do.”
“So… Engaged, I guess?”
Denki dusted himself off and stood. “Deal. Engaged.” Denki stuck his hand out, and you shook it.
You both turned and started making your way back to the teahouse, taking your time and going the long way to be sure to avoid and of the other patrons. This was fine. A good plan. Nothing could go wrong as long as no one found out.

hi
idk if asks like this are alright but do you have any leo/need agere headcanons :)? if so id love to hear
Ooh! This is perfectly fine to request, and thank you for sending it in!! I've been waiting to drop these :33
Leo/Need Agere Headcanons
Hoshino Ichika:
She is a regressor!
She tends to go back to elementary school ages, ranging from 5-8
She still struggles with communication, lowkey to a greater degree than when she's big
Honestly? She's mostly nonverbal when small
Thankfully, she usually regresses with another member of their band
Everyone else kind of gets what she means by the vague gestures or the half words that she'll give
The most that anyone has gotten out of regressed Ichi was in relation to Miku
She's far too nervous to go outside when regressed
Thankfully, the Sekai does have a nice roof view!
Her favorite activities while little are rewatching older Miku expos/MMDS and stargazing!
So.. not much of a difference
Her primary caregivers are Honami and Luka
Though she doesn't need one at all times
It's mostly for the company
Speaking of which!
Little Ichi has an awful fear of abandonment
Which results in her being a lot clingier than any other little
Tenma Saki:
Regressor, 100%!
Her age range goes anywhere from 2-7
I see both Tenmas as regressors, but as previously stated I don't think either sibling knows that the other regresses
Saki doesn't feel the same shame or guilt that Tsukasa does
She allows herself to be more open to having childish things-
"I didn't get to have these in the hospital!"
When she regresses, she is LOUD
It's not on purpose
She just gets so excited and needs to get it out somehow!!
She usually regresses alongside Ichi, so she's usually a "translator" for her as well
She has a comfort stuffed animal
Which. has seen better days
Regressed or not, it goes everywhere with her
Sometimes, she'll work herself up into a fever while regressed
Due to the strain (and the fear of landing herself back in the hospital), she'll drop lower than before
She's also fairly clingy! Though she doesn't rely as much on her bandmates
She's usually the catalyst for the others regressing as well
She will drag them into a game of tag
Or hide and seek
Though, hide and seek ended poorly last time they all played
Her caretakers usually bounce around! She's content with anyone
Mochizuki Honami:
Flips
When regressed, she insists that she's 10, but it's fairly obvious that she's more often 5-9
She tends to take care of the group more than not, but she doesn't mind!
She loves her friends :)
Though, Saki has dragged her down a few times
Not that she's complaining
She's gotten a dozen nicknames from her friends when they're regressed
"Sis", "MiMi", and *various happy gestures* are among her favorites
When she's regressed with them, she tends to enjoy playing a bigger role
She'll read to them!
Nothing complex, something that they can all enjoy
She indulges in everyone's interests and activities!
As long as they can get a nap in eventually
She's a surprisingly tired kid
When little, her emotions are a lot more out of check
She's cried over a butterfly before
She is the epitome of "*cries and holds you in my hands*"
Hinomori Shiho:
Swears that she's a caregiver, but she regresses
She refuses to label how young she swings
She hates depending on others, even when she is regressed
But she does learn to accept the fact she needs some help
It takes her a while to actually turn to her bandmates to get some assistance
She would rely on her sister, more often than not
Shizuku tends to pry a little more than Shiho likes
But she has to admit that it is nice to have someone know your deepest secret and not judge
Once she finally starts going to her friends
They are all surprised by how open she is
Little Shiho? She lets everything out
Her excitement, her anger, her sadness
They've gotten nearly all emotions out of her
She also stims
A lot. She needs a lot more reassurance than one would think
She claims it's because of how smothering her sister could be
It's actually because of how often she shuts people out
Her favorite caregiver quickly becomes Honami
Her favorite things to do? She's playing games with Saki or stargazing with Ichi
Beyond that? She's listening to music and bopping to it!!

So you want to watch Precure!
Version 1.3
(Google Docs Vers & Changelog)
Maybe you follow people who like it, maybe you just love magical girls and never got into Precure, but there are over a dozen seasons and you don’t know how to jump in. Never fear, this masterpost is here to give you a rundown of Precure, and hopefully by the end you’ll have an idea of where you want to start.
What Is Precure?
Precure (short for Pretty Cure) is a Toei Animation franchise started in 2004 and has been on the air nonstop since then. It’s a magical girl franchise, y’know like sailor moon or ojamajo doremi or other such shows. The main demographic is children so you don’t have to worry about any weird “fanservice” or panty shots or anything nasty like that, it’s very G rated.
What Are The Shows About?
In a general sense, Precure is about a team of 2-6 middle school age magical girls fighting bad guys and giant monsters and saving the world on a weekly basis with pretty outfits and big flashy finishers and the power of love and friendship. Each season follows a pretty standard formula (toku fans should be pretty familiar with it for the most part), and each season is around 48-50 episodes long.
In keeping with this toku-esque formula, most seasons will feature mid season additions to the cast, in the form of new precure heroes. For the sake of not spoiling these shows, these mid season cures will not be mentioned in our plot overviews unless they appear extremely early or something like that. Just know that almost every season will feature an additional cure joining the team later in the show.
Additionally, every season has at least one movie, these days there’s usually two per season. Usually you’ll find the movies are a standalone self-contained romp, and a crossover movie with the preceding seasons, with a focus on the most recent 2-3 teams. These movies might as well exist in a continuity of their own, and have absolutely no bearing on the plot whatsoever, save for one except which I’ll mention when we get to that season.
Why Should I Watch Precure?
Because it’s good. It’s a really stellar franchise with a ton of content and genuinely engaging characters and stories. Also this isn’t your mom’s magical girl show, these girls throw punches, and kicks, and big lasers. Precure is pretty well known for being extremely hands on with its combat compared to other magical girl shows, though don’t expect the same kind of fights you’d find in kamen rider or anything. Also a main draw for a lot of people is the amount of gay subtext in, frankly, every season. While there’s only one season with an explicitly confirmed gay relationship between two cures, every season has varying levels of subtext between cures, it’s pretty cool. We won’t discuss the subtext in every season overview but trust us, it’s in there.
What Show Should I Start With?
It doesn’t actually matter which season you watch, every season is a new setting and with new characters and set in a new world (except for two sequel seasons i’ll explain later), so you’re free to watch whatever you want in any order! We’re going to spend the rest of this post talking about each season to give you, the beloved reader, a glimpse at what each season has to uniquely offer. Don’t worry, there’s no spoilers down there.
Futari Wa Precure (We Are Pretty Cure) & Futari Wa Precure Max Heart
Tumblr media
The original precure show that aired in 2004, and even received an english dub. Misumi Nagisa is a star lacrosse player living a normal life until one day a shooting star she wishes on turns out to be a fairy that careens right into her room, or rather, smacks her right in the face. The fairy, named Mepple, explains he comes from the Garden of Light, another world that’s been taken over by the evil Dark King and his Dark Zone in order to capture the Prism Stones, a number of heart shaped crystals that, if collected, could give Dark King the power to destroy not only the Garden of Light but also the Garden of Rainbows, Earth itself. Meanwhile, Yukishiro Honoka finds a box in her grandmother’s shed containing an item just like the one that smacked Nagisa in the face, and inside is the fairy Mipple, who explains the situation to Honoka. The two fairies, seeking to be reunited, drag Nagisa and Honoka along and the four of them end up meeting up, but are attacked by an emissary of the Dark Zone. Mepple and Mipple grant the confused duo the power to transform into the warriors of legend, Precure. As Cure Black and Cure White, Nagisa and Honoka manage to fight off their attacker and protect their new fairy partners. The girls are then more or less dragged into the battle against the Dark Zone, as the only hope for both Gardens, they fulfill their duty as legendary warriors despite their hesitations and desires to go back to being normal teenagers.
Futari Wa doesn’t exactly have any major themes to speak of, it’s just your standard magical girl vs evil bad guys kind of thing, forgive it for being the first season. What it does have to offer is the relationship between Nagisa and Honoka, as well as the action in fight scenes. The girls don’t start the season as best friends, in fact they barely even know each other’s names when they’re first flung together. It takes a few episodes and a major fight between the girls for them to really start opening up to each other, but soon enough they become inseparable and support each other in everything they do. It’s clear, especially near the end, that the girls cling to each other for support and strength in the face of the increasingly overwhelming odds they face as the Dark Zone gains strength. It’s very compelling to see their relationship deepen in the early season and see how deep their bonds truly go near the end.
Futari Wa received a sequel show, Futari Wa Precure Max Heart, picking up the story where it left off in the first season’s finale. Honoka and Nagisa are still the main characters, and they’re still fighting the Dark Zone, but this time they’re joined by a mysterious girl named Hikari, who can transform into Shiny Luminous, not a precure but precure-ish. This time the girls are trying to recover the heart and soul of the Queen of the Garden of Light, before the Dark Zone can recover and destroy the queen in her weakened state. Also their precure costumes have changed slightly.
The first season (that is to say, not max heart) is currently one of the few seasons available with official english subtitles on the streaming platform Crunchyroll
Futari Wa Precure Splash Star
Tumblr media
Hyuuga Saki (Cure Bloom), a tomboy who loves playing softball, and Mishou Mai (Cure Egret), a quiet transfer student and aspiring artist, meet each other by chance one day under the Sky Tree, where they discover two creatures from the Land of Fountains named Flappy and Choppy. The two girls transform into the legendary Precure and are tasked with restoring Princess Filia and the Seven Holy Fountains, which were sapped of their power by the evil forces of Dark Fall.
Splash Star's main theme is the appreciation of nature. The main focus is on the girls rediscovering their relationships with their town and the nature and people in it. You get to meet a whole cast of characters in their community, who have a lot of heart and charm behind their writing and the show does a good job of getting you genuinely invested in their stories.
Unfortunately the romance in Splash Star isn’t much better than Futari Wa's (sorry to any Fujimura/Kazuya fans), but the main girls themselves are so engaging that it's easy to ignore. The villains are pretty goofy, but entertaining if you can accept that the show doesn’t take itself very seriously. There are two villains in the latter half of the season that really stand out, though. Without spoiling too much, I can promise you their character arcs will tear at your heartstrings in the best way.
If you've watched Futari wa Precure, Splash Star will probably feel familiar. Although it's the first "reboot" series in the franchise with completely new characters, Toei overall played it safe and Saki and Mai in many ways still feel like "Nagisa and Honoka 2.0". Splash Star is different in enough other ways to make the show stand on its own merits, but if you watch it immediately after Futari wa you might find yourself feeling some deja vu. Personally, I think it's interesting to see what Splash Star builds on and explores when compared to Futari wa, since it has many of the same themes and character archetypes but they play out quite differently.
Yes! Precure 5 & Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!
Tumblr media
Nozomi is a cheerful, carefree girl, but she doesn’t have a dream. One day she meets a hot guy and finds a mysterious item called the Dream Collet, capable of granting any wish once all the fairies known as Pinkies are gathered inside it, in the school library. She discovers that the hot guy is actually a tanuki from Palmier Kingdom named Coco, and that the Kingdom has been destroyed by the Nightmare. Coco’s dream is to restore his kingdom using the Dream Collet, and Nozomi decides to make it hers as well.
She’s joined by her jock friend Rin, Urara, an aspiring actress, Komachi, a writer, and the rich student council president Karen. Together they form Yes Sentai Fiveranger Yes Precure 5 and work together to prevent Nightmare from obtaining the Dream Collet before they can gather all the Pinkies. They also save Coco’s “”””””friend””””””” and fellow hot guy squirrel, Nuts, and he joins them as the second mascot/handsome love interest.
The theme of Yes is dreams and heterosexual furry romance. It pulls off the dreams part very nicely. The het furry romance is bad, mostly because Coco is Nozomi’s teacher at school and also her love interest. However, Coco and Nuts are fairly gay and if you look past the romance part they have very good dadly relationships with the rest of the team.
Yespre, like Futari Wa, received a sequel show, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!. After the defeat of Nightmare some time ago, a new faction called Eternal rises up and starts stealing treasures from various dimensions. When Eternal targets the Rose Pact belonging to the Cure Rose Garden, the precure are called back into action to fight against Eternal, with new cure outfits, a new fairy named Syrup, and a new cure-like teammate named Milky Rose.
Fresh Precure!
Tumblr media
Fresh is sort of the defining series for modern Precure, introducing a lot of plot and thematic elements to the franchise that would be used repeatedly later on.
A concert Momozono Love attends is attacked by a monster called a Nakewameke. When Love stands up to it, she is nearly killed, but is saved when she is chosen by a mysterious power to become Cure Peach. She is joined by Inori and Miki as Cure Pine and Cure Berry, and, together with the talking ferret from the Kingdom of Sweets, Tarte, they have to prevent Labyrinth, a grey world led by Mobius, from taking over the Parallel Worlds and transforming them into identical, machine-like dictatorships, and also figure out the secret behind the Magic Baby, Chiffon, that Tarte is entrusted with.
Fresh’s themes are happiness and nature/technology and donuts. The donuts are important. Labyrinth operates by gathering misery; the Nakewameke are created from it and their function is to create more of it and fill the Sorrow Gauge. All the girls (and the mascot) have love interests and their familial relationships are explored a lot to bring out the general stakes and emphasise what they’re fighting for.
While Fresh is very strong in characters, plot, and thematics, its lack of budget is very apparent. It looks terrible. Fortunately, it isn’t that difficult to get used to the bad animation once you get into the show, although the lack of means tends to show up at inopportune moments, like new powerups.
Heartcatch Precure!
Tumblr media
Featuring character designs and art direction from Ojamajo Doremi’s character designer Umakoshi Yoshihiko, and written by Ojamajo Doremi and Onegai My Melody writer Yamada Takashi, Heartcatch should look and feel familiar to fans of either franchise, especially Doremi.
After having a reoccurring dream about someone called Cure Moonlight being defeated trying to defend the “Great Heart Tree”, the shy and reserved Hanasaki Tsubomi moves in with her grandmother and ends up inheriting the will of Cure Moonlight and becomes the newest precure, Cure Blossom. Finding out her grandmother used to be the legendary Cure Flower, Tsubomi vows to protect the world as a precure and learn to change herself for the better. She’s joined by her new friend and the first person she saved as a precure, Kurumi Erika, a loud girl with a big heart who means well, but doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind. Erika becomes Cure Marine and the two become Heartcatch Precure, the newest precure in the long legacy of those who have stood up to the evil Dune, a mysterious invader who destroys planets and turns them into lifeless deserts. Heartcatch Precure fights against Dune’s minions: the mask wearing Professor Sabaku, his Desert Apostles, and the mysterious Dark Precure. Along the way they meet the former Cure Moonlight, now stripped of her power, and try to help her cope with her defeat.
Heartcatch Precure’s main theme is flowers and flower language. Everyone has a “heart flower” that the Desert Apostles take and use to create their monsters every week. As an interesting result of this, the monster of the week will be the main character in the plot of the week and often their big monster form will vent about their issues which will usually lead to a resolution when the precure return them to their regular bodies. Heartcatch also has a very nice backstory and lore to it. Unlike most iterations of precure, the Heartcatch girls are not the first precure to exist in their world, there are dozens maybe hundreds of precure that came before them, fighting against Dune and his forces for hundreds of years. It adds a lot to the narrative in small ways, especially later on in the season. Also the fight scenes are extremely excellent, especially when Moonlight is involved.
Suite Precure♪
Tumblr media
The musical paradise of Major Land falls under siege by the forces of Minor Land, led by King Mephisto. His goal is to steal the living notes of the “Melody of Happiness” and remake them into the “Melody of Sorrow”, throwing the world into a permanent depressive state. As a last resort, Queen Aphrodite scatters the notes into the human world and tasks Hummy, the cat-like fairy, and the Fairy Tones, to find the notes before the forces of Minor Lands can capture them. In the human world, Hummy meets Hojo Hibiki and Minamino Kanade, two girls who were best friends as children, but drifted apart as teenagers because of their tendency to bicker with each other. The two find themselves thrown together again by fate and transform into Cure Melody and Cure Rhythm to protect the things they hold dear. Not long after, the two rekindle their relationship and become closer than before, despite their bickering. Soon the girls run into the mysterious Cure Muse, a girl who appears to be a precure like them, but hides her face with a mask and refuses to join in their fight, claiming to be neither friend nor enemy. Melody and Rhythm battle against Minor Land and the giant Negatones they create from the notes they gather, as well as Siren, another cat-like fairy who used to be Hummy’s best friend before turning to evil and joining Minor Land.
Suite Precure’s main theme is music, and it is a very encompassing theme. Hibiki and Kanade bond over their piano practice, the town they live in celebrates music frequently and is aesthetically music themed, and their powers take the form of musical instruments. Harmony is also a large theme for the two girls. Their precure power increases as they harmonize with each other, and the early season is very much about them learning to harmonize with each other. Suite also features several extremely well done mystery arcs, about the identity of Cure Muse, and various other things that I can’t very well talk about without risking spoiling things myself. If you manage to go into Suite not knowing anything consider yourself extremely lucky and be super sure not to get spoiled. The show staff went to great lengths to hide certain things, including leaking fake cure designs, and creating a second version of the second dance ending to further mask the identity of Cure Muse until her true reveal.
Also something to note, usually precure movies have nothing to do with the plot of the show itself and can be watched whenever but the Suite movie is best enjoyed right after the arc revealing Cure Muse’s identity is concluded, it has a nice resolution to plot elements in that arc and sets the stage for the last few arcs of the show, so be sure to watch it then.
Smile Precure!
Tumblr media
Written by Kamen Rider Kabuto head writer Yonemura Shoji, Smile Precure is the second season to feature a 5 girl team after Yes! Precure 5 Gogo!. Running late to her first day of school, resident happy-go-lucky klutz Hoshizora Miyuki runs face first into a small creature called Candy, a fairy from a place called Märchenland. The two are attacked by an anthropomorphic wolf named Wolfrun, and Miyuki transforms into Cure Happy to fight against Wolfrun and the big clown faced monster he summons called an Akanbe. After Candy explains that the legends say there are five precure, Miyuki recruits four new friends: the hot blooded Akane (Cure Sunny), shy artist Yayoi (Cure Peace), responsible older sister Nao (Cure March), and refined student council vice-president Reika (Cure Beauty). The five of them become Smile Precure and fight against Wolfrun and his allies in the Bad End Kingdom, who attempt to revive the slumbering Pierrot by trying to put the world in a “Bad End”.
Smile Precure’s main theme is fairy tales, in a general sense. The Bad End trio are based off of the big bad wolf (Wolfrun), the oni from Momotaro (Akaoni), and the witch from Snow White (Majorina), and Miyuki herself is utterly captivated by fairy tales. The secondary theme is happiness, and the happy go lucky tone of the series often turns on its head during serious arcs to deliver extremely powerful emotional moments. Smile Precure is light on plot, and most episodes are an ultra happy experience, but the show knows how to get serious when it needs to and Smile is exceedingly competent at pulling off drama when the time comes. Smile knows how to get you invested in its characters and use that to pull on your heartstrings during the big moments. The last 10 episodes of the show are the absolute pinnacle of the show’s emotional drama, and each cure gets her own episode for closure before the finale sets in and emotionally destroys you. Also you get to play rock paper scissors with Cure Peace during her roll call so that’s always fun.
Doki Doki! Precure
Tumblr media
Doki opens with Trump Kingdom’s destruction by the Selfishness as Cure Sword looks on, helpless. Switching to our world and brighter topics, we meet Aida Mana, Student Council President of Oogai Middle School, whose dream is to become the Prime Minister of Japan. Whenever Mana sees someone in trouble, she’ll help them out, so when a monster attacks the city, Mana does the obvious and tries to stop it. And when, chosen by the fairy Charuru (Charles? Cheryle? Cherry?) to become a Precure and defend the world, she meets Cure Sword, she has to befriend her and help her restore Trump Kingdom and find her happiness.
Mana (Cure Heart) is joined by Rikka (Cure Diamond), her studious companion and supporter, and also the immeasurably powerful and rich (in that order) Alice (Cure Rosetta). Together they have to unravel the mystery of the man who gave them their transformation items, the missing princess of Trump Kingdom, the strange, evil girl called Regina, and Ai, the chaotic neutral baby who hatches out of an egg.
Dokipre’s theme is love and selflessness. It also has Deep Lore, a lot of which is established in extra-series material. The show does try to explore concepts like past cures and manages a very nice repeating pattern effect with the plot, in terms of past and future happenings. There’s a lot of foreshadowing. Compared to most Precure seasons it’s very plot-heavy and even the filler usually ends up being plot-relevant.
Happiness Charge Precure!
Tumblr media
The 10th anniversary of Precure! The Phantom Empire is spreading across the world, and Precure are rising up all over the globe to fight them off. In Japan there are two active cures, Cure Fortune, strong and capable, and Cure Princess, scared and unsure of herself. As Cure Princess, Shirayuki Hime, struggles desperately to do her duty as precure, Cure Fortune refuses to work with her for reasons Hime doesn’t fully understand. Realizing her only hope is to find a partner to work with, Hime bumps into Aino Megumi, a super friendly girl who has a tendency to drop everything and help others any time she sees someone in need. Megumi becomes Cure Lovely, and bolstering Hime’s confidence, the two of them become Happiness Charge Precure, tasked with protecting Japan from Queen Mirage and her Phantom Empire. The two are joined by Cure Honey, and eventually Cure Fortune, and the four of them receive support from Blue, the God of Planet Earth. As the girls continue to fight and defend Japan, they are assaulted by Phantom, the ruthless Precure Hunter who has defeated and trapped countless Precure in his Precure Graveyard, and the Oresky Trio, the Phantom Empire generals who oversee the invasion of Japan.
Happiness Charge Precure’s themes are romance and happiness. There are several arcs dedicated to the budding romances of the cures, and the backstory of the show is heavily tied to romance. Happiness might as well be Megumi’s middle name, she makes it her business to spread happiness to as many people as she can, and takes every chance she can to help others. Happiness Charge is also the first season to have form changes for the precure, each cure has a small selection of forms they can change to for different big attacks, and this concept would later be expanded and used as a core concept in Maho Girls Precure. Like Heartcatch before it, Happiness Charge exists in a world where multiple precure exist, but unlike Heartcatch all those precure exist at the same time in the present day. Other precure teams make cameos every so often and the concept creates a great world in which the whole planet is being protected by teenage girls with superpowers, creating a wonderful sense of scale that really makes the big victories of Happiness Charge Precure feel even bigger.
Go! Princess Precure
Tumblr media
The first precure series to take place at a boarding school! Years ago, a young girl named Haruno Haruka meets a very royal looking person named Kanata who gives her a Dress-Up Key, a big key shaped like a dress. A teenager now, Haruka starts attending Noble Academy, a prestigious boarding school, all the while holding tight to her dream of becoming a true princess, in a quasi-literal sense. Not long after starting the school year, Haruka meets Pafu and Aroma, two fairies from the Hope Kingdom desperate to revive the legendary precure to fight back against Dyspear and her minions who steal dreams to create their giant Zetsuborgs. Realizing what her Dress-Up Key is meant for, Haruka uses it and the Princess Perfume to become Cure Flora. Together with student council president Kaido Minami (Cure Mermaid), and Amanogawa Kirara (Cure Twinkle) a fashion model with huge aspirations, they become the new Princess Precure, tasked with learning to become true princesses along with protecting the Dress-Up Keys from Dyspear’s forces.
Go! Princess Precure’s main themes are princesses (duh) and dreams. Dreams are a driving force behind all of the cures, and most of the plot of the week characters. Dyspear steals dreams to make monsters, and the precure fight to return those dreams. Characters follow their dreams with conviction, pride, and full commitment. This is also where the princess theme intersects, since it’s Haruka’s dream to become a true princess. One should note that princess is used sort of liberally in this series, it’s not that Haruka wants to somehow become someone of noble birth or have political power, she just wants to be strong, kind, and beautiful, the traits of a true princess in Princess Precure’s own terms. Also she wants to wear pretty dresses and such but who can blame her really.
Mahou Tsukai Precure! (Maho Girls Precure!)
Tumblr media
Quite literally putting the magic in magical girls for the first time in the franchise, Mahou Tsukai Precure was the first season to have its cures be actual magicians. Izumi Riko lives in the magical world, a world where magic is real and she attends a magical academy to hone her craft. She leaves the magical world to travel to the “non-magic” world, to search for a legendary item called the Linkle Stone Emerald. In the non-magic world she ends up catching the attention of another girl, Asahina Mirai, who sees her using magic. After trying to show off some magic and messing it up, Riko is attacked by Batty, a servant of the dark wizard Dokurokushe, who is seeking the Linkle Stone Emerald as well. As fate would have it, both Mirai and Riko carry stones that turn out to be the Linkle Stones Diamond, and the two of them use them to become Cure Miracle and Cure Magical, the legendary Mahou Tsukai Precure. Additionally, the power of the Linkle Stones grants life to Mirai’s lifelong companion, a teddy bear named Mofurun. Having discovered the world of magic and become a precure, Mirai is invited to spend time in the magical world learning magic alongside Riko, before the two, joined by Mofurun and a baby fairy named Ha, return to the non-magical world to search for the Emerald and protect it from Dokurokushe and his minions.
Mahou Tsukai Precure’s main themes are bonds and separation. It’s strengths lie in how it shows the relationship between Mirai and Riko. The show takes its time building their relationship in the first dozen or so episodes of their adventures in the magic world, highlighting their similarities and differences as they grow closer and learn to live with each other and fight as precure together. Well before the halfway mark it’s clear how strong their bond is and how deeply they care for each other, and the lengths they would go to for one another. Mahou Tsukai is an emotional ride in so many ways, every emotional moment hits its mark and the more you get attached to the characters the more the show will hit harder and harder with its moments, both sad and happy. Even side characters get satisfying and emotional conclusions to their storylines outside of the episodes they’re introduced in, it’s all wonderfully crafted.
KiraKira☆Precure A La Mode
Tumblr media
Another return to the five cure format, Kirapre is also the second season to feature a sixth team member after Yes! Precure 5 Gogo!, as well as the second season to feature high school age precure after Heartcatch Precure. Usami Ichika is in her second year of middle school and loves sweets, especially making sweets. One day a hungry fairy named Pekorin finds her way into Ichika’s kitchen, and after being fed teaches Ichika about Kirakiraru, an energy source that exists in all sweets, and something that can be stolen and used for evil, leaving the sweets gray and tasteless. Utilizing the power of kirakraru in the shortcake she baked for her mother, Ichika becomes Cure Whip, one of the legendary patissiers, Precure. One by one other precure appear, the smart but shy Arisugawa Himari (Cure Custard), the rock band headliner Tategami Aoi (Cure Gelato), the fickle catlike Kotozume Yukari (Cure Macaron), and the responsible and helpful Kenjou Akira (Cure Chocolat). The five of them fight against the evils of Noir and those he has influenced: Julio, the mysterious masked boy who runs “experiments'' using kirakiraru, and Bibury, a mean spirited girl who uses her talking doll to steal kirakiraru and create monsters.
Kirapre’s main motifs are sweets and animals, and it has a pretty general togetherness and happiness theme going on, the standard precure stuff, mostly viewed through the lense of sweets and sweets-making. All the precure work as patissiers for one reason or another and it’s the main way the team bonds early on. The team, as well as the people of their small town, love sweets as a part of their culture and sweets maintain an important role as the emotional tie that binds most things together in the story. Overall Kirapre is a wonderful show with a great cast on both sides of the conflict, and a lot of care has been put into the show to make sure characters have their moments to interact with each other as well as have their own stories , even on a team of six every precure gets more than enough time to shine on her own. Kirapre is at it’s best when it takes two girls and puts them together for an episode, letting each unique dynamic play out in a fun and satisfying way. Kirapre is also noteworthy for the almost inarguably canonical relationship between two of the cures. It's not exactly explicit and it does leave something to be desired, since this is a Toei children's show, but there’s not really any other way to read the evolution of their relationship or their duet song, so I’m more than satisfied calling it canon.
This season is currently one of the few seasons available with official english subtitles on the streaming platform Crunchyroll
HUGtto! Precure
Tumblr media
Precure’s 15th anniversary! This season is in many ways a celebration of all things Precure, bringing together a lot of familiar elements from past shows into one. Hugtto! is another five cure season whose main themes are destiny and future. Nono Hana (Cure Yell) is a thirteen-year-old girl whose dream is to be a "cool and stylish woman," although she worries that others see her as childish. One day, a hamster named Harryham Harry and a magical baby named Hugtan fall out of the sky into Hana's house. They're being chased from the future by an evil organization called Criasu Corporation, who are trying to use Hugtan's power to freeze time forever. Hana makes friends with two of her classmates: the responsible class representative Yakushiji Saaya (Cure Ange) and the reclusive ex-figure skater Kagayaki Homare (Cure Etoile), and together they fight Criasu while taking care of Hugtan and figuring out the many mysteries surrounding her. Expect some light sc-fi elements and an emphasis on modern technology/social media.
Hugtto! explores its themes primarily through the lenses of childcare and the workplace, giving us a look at how each girl comes to terms with the transition from childhood to adulthood. This season does a good job of letting each member of the team shine; you spend several episodes with each girl (or duo of girls) and there's a real sense of a complete character arc for all of them. The romance aspect is, unfortunately, pretty bad: there’s a return of hetero furry romance between Harry and Homare, and Hana’s love interest exhibits some really creepy behavior towards her. There’s uncomfortable age gaps in both of these relationships too so it’s a just a bit…. Yikes. Thankfully, it’s fairly easy to ignore like past seasons, but a warning for it nonetheless.
Something that makes this season stand out is its LGBT subtext; there's a TON of it even compared to the normal amount that Precure is known for. Without giving away too much, two of the cures this season are heavily coded as lesbians (though not with each other per se), and there's a subplot concerning a side character who is pretty explicitly (well, as explicit as Toei dares to be) a gender non-conforming man/nonbinary person in love with another man, and it's all very wholesome and presented in a positive light. Again, this is Toei, so don't expect anything too radical, but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with how Hugpre handles it.
Finally I'll just say that while Hugpre is a fantastic season on its own, I would personally recommend waiting to watch it after you've seen some other seasons (notably Futari wa). It's not required, but since Hugpre is an anniversary season, there are a few episodes (especially near the end) that will really hit different if you have an emotional connection to the franchise already. Ultimately though this is a fairly minor part of the show, so watching this season first won’t ruin it or anything like that, it’s just something to keep in mind.
Star☆Twinkle Precure
Tumblr media
Precure… in space! Our protagonist, Hoshina Hikaru (Cure Star) loves space and cryptids, to the point of drawing her own constellations. One of her constellations is an adorable alien puffball, who warps into Hikaru’s room almost immediately after she draws it. The puffball quickly befriends Hikaru, who names her Fuwa. They are later joined by Prunce, the team dad friend/alien mascot, and Lala (Cure Milky), a humanoid alien who is an adult in her own culture. After our initial duo gets off to a bit of a rocky start, they are joined by the student council president, Kaguya Madoka  (Cure Selene) and a biracial upperclassman who is considered to be the “sun” of the school, Amamiya Elena (Cure Soleil). Together, they explore the universe and befriend all sorts of aliens, while also defending them from the Notraiders, who want to rid the universe of all imagination. On top of that, the universe is dying and the cures need to find the 12 astrologically themed Star Pens to save it and the 12 Star Princesses. This series is notable for attempting to break the “monster of the week” format, instead making it a “fight of the week”.
The major themes of Star Twinkle are space, imagination, and maturity. The cures have to explore the universe to find the Star Pens, and in doing so, visit a bunch of different planets. About half the series is spent on Earth, but the world still feels developed! Honestly speaking, the theme of imagination is forgotten pretty quickly and I’d refer to it more as free will. The theme of maturity is where Star Twinkle really shines. All of the cures have had to grow up too fast in some way, and the series is partially about just allowing them to goof off. Lala is considered an adult on her planet, and this plot point is treated realistically. Well, as realistically as it can be. This is one series I’d recommend avoiding spoilers like the plague for, because part of the fun is in how the plot twists are pulled off. Also Star Twinkle is notable for featuring the first ever dark skinned precure, as Elena is half-hispanic.
Healin’ Good Precure
Tumblr media
The currently airing Precure season, as of this writing. The Byogens seek to revive their king by inflicting viruses on Earth, the Healing Garden sends three medical interns to combat them. These interns, fairies named Rabirin, Pegitan, and Nyatoran, along with a baby fairy princess named Latte, journey to Earth to find partners to become Precure. They end up meeting Hanadera Nodoka, a kindhearted girl who was hospitalized for most of her young childhood. After Nodoka risks her life to protect Latte, Rabirin chooses her to become Cure Grace. Joined by older sister type Sawaizumi Chiyu (Cure Fontaine) and the outgoing Hiramitsu Hinata (Cure Sparkle), they form Healin’ Good Precure, and defend their friends and the Earth from the Byogen’s newest wave of attacks.
This season is currently one of the few seasons available with official english subtitles on the streaming platform Crunchyroll.
Where To Watch Precure Online
Unfortunately for us, Precure isn’t really a thing in the west. There was a dub of Futari Wa back in the early 2000’s and Smile and Doki both got “adapted” into Glitter Force over on netflix (I don’t really recommend checking those out), but really Precure just doesn’t exist over here.
However, as mentioned above, there are currently three seasons avalible for streaming on crunchyroll. The original Futari Wa Precure, Kira Kira Precure A La Mode, and the current season, Healin’ Good Precure.
Beyond these isolated examples of official releases, you can really only watch precure online on streaming sites or through torrents. You can find precure pretty much on any major anime streaming site, kissanime, gogoanime, the works. You can also try your luck torrenting the seasons, i’ve found that pretty much every season has a working torrent you can find on sites like nyaa.si or the like. For more recent seasons you should have little difficulty getting torrents, and last time i checked every season was on one of the aforementioned streaming sites. What I’m saying really is there’s no single place to find precure, but it’s not impossible to find for sure.
Thanks for reading this post, I hope you decide to check out precure and I really hope you end up loving it.Thanks to my wonderful friend @meltorights for writing the sections on Yespre, Fresh, and Dokipre, to @wonderlilane for writing the sections on Splash Star and Huggto, and @cure-cosmo for writing the segment on Starpre.
If you have questions feel free to drop me an ask I’d be happy to help. I will literally go out of my way to help you if it means getting someone new into precure so please do not hesitate by any means.

hi✨ hello✨ i’m rina (21+, she/her) i was here for two secs a while back and then life got hectic but i’m back and i bring you ✨MIMI✨ no plot page atm but towards the end of this post i included a few basic ideas! i’m also always more than happy to do some fun musing/brainstorming back and forth hehe. otherwise, you can find me rambling on about my girl under the cut~ & don’t forget to hit that ♡ button if you wanna plot, i’ll come slidin into those dms momentarily xoxo
BIOGRAPHY
born in yokohama, japan to a single mother (who came from a long line of prestigious lawyers)
her legal name is ito misaki but she started going by mimi after moving to korea (misaki + miyeon)
long story short, she never really had much of an interest in her absent father until around middle school when her mom’s law firm was in need of a lot of her attention and mimi was, well, alone at home all the time
she started snooping around the house for any trace of her father and one day discovered her mom’s old diary (some mamma mia action but only 1 baby daddy lol)
their love story was pretty much a whirlwind – he was a sweet, up and coming south korean idol trying to promote in japan who’d run into her by chance – things moved pretty fast but it was inevitable that he’d leave/wouldn’t stay to settle down and start a life with her in the foreign country, so she kept her pregnancy a secret during their remaining time together
after the discovery, mimi started looking into her dad’s identity heavily and discovered that he had moved on from his teen idol roots and was now a well regarded actor in korea (and a bit in japan too)
she is “coincidentally” a big fan and follows all his work (mom thinks mimi is just super into the hallyu wave and wants to get in touch with her korean side)
eventually mimi comes up with the super bright idea to move to korea in order to meet her dad one day (crossing her fingers!!!) under the guise of “pursuing a better education” and studies her butt off to receive a scholarship to the prestigious hannam high school since there was NO WAY her mom would deny her such a rare opportunity!!!
at hannam, she took advantage of the new start and basically lies about her father’s identity (his existence in general) and tells everyone who asks that he passed away when she was young
fast forward to the present day, mimi actually managed to score an internship to a pretty big entertainment company (spoiler: it’s her father’s)
her mother still has no idea of mimi’s true intentions and believes that mimi continued her studies and is currently a grad student at SNU (studying media and communication)
PERSONALITY
on the surface mimi is cheerful and easy to get along with
usually described to be bubbly and a bit ditzy (but vvv book smart)
she’s not above letting loose and having a bit of fun, but in general is a pretty straight laced person and will be that person who stop the party if it’s time to wrap things up (her mom’s influence, read: occasional buzzkill)
seems pretty carefree but is actually quite defensive/sensitive and will snap at u if u say something she’s not happy with
honestly, very selfish and puts herself and her needs first, always
overall, she’s kind of hard to read/is very two-faced and u just have to catch her at good times (i think that’s on me being a mess)
also very opportunistic and jumps at every chance to network/form professional relations
PLOT/CONNECTION IDEAS???
scooby gang – i love a good bestie gang connection. and while i wish i could say that mimi is a daphne, i think she’s velma
frienemies
enemies
close friends, but everyone thinks they hate each other for some reason
childhood friend (from japan) – probably one of the few people who know that her mom has always been a single mom and that her dad didn’t actually pass away
language exchange – she helps you with your japanese and you help her with korean/english/etc.
co-workers??
“college classmates” – she turns to you for help covering her ass whenever her mom comes down to visit
on/off ex-bf(s) – messy and petty; mimi is prob 90% to blame
anything angsty – i can’t think of anything but lmk if i can ever be of assistance to u lol
aaaaand that’s about it (i think). i apologize for all the rambling but i look forward to interacting with yall on the dash!!! hehe

Okay. Killer Teddie AU time. Full spoiler warning ahead for P4 and even a bit of P5. Full timeline of all events in order up ahead. Smaller details and ideas at the very end of it. Some of this might not make sense or have an explanation because, at the time, I hadn’t finished base game Persona 4 and had no idea of stuff like Izanami, Sagiris, and so on and so forth. Even now, I haven’t yet finished P4G. The next time I work on this AU will be after I’ve finished P4G and have a good grasp on everything to change what doesn’t make sense and add stuff that does. For now take what I’ve worked on thus far. Sorry if some of my explanations are a little wonky. Extremely fucking long post ahead, I’m seriously not joking around this time.
And, before I start, I’m not the only one who worked on the AU! This is a team project between me and my gf! I know it’s not much to say, but I want to give half of the credit to her rather than taking all of it for myself, cuz while a lot of these ideas came from me, a lot came from her, too.
So, let me explain why Teddie’s a killer in the first place. It starts when he’s still just a mindless Shadow, and he comes face to face with a group of Persona users that existed long before the investigation team, consisting of Tohru Adachi, Mayumi Yamano, and a lot of miscellaneous unnamed characters who may or may not be made into proper characters in the futures. Why this first group existed and consists of those characters is one of those things that hasn’t been fully thought through yet. But, one thing’s for sure, they love going into the TV world and just beating up Shadows for fun every once in a while. At this point in the story, Shadows aren’t necessarily hostile yet, so basically, Teddie witnesses a bunch of his own kind get slaughtered for no reason and, probably because he’s starting to grow some kind of consciousness at this point, goes buck wild and kills the whole group save for Tohru Adachi, who manages to escape. This is how Mayumi Yamano meets her demise and also, how Teddie grows a proper body - it isn’t that bear suit of his though, it’s a human body, most likely the result of humans being the only thing he was exposed to aside from Shadows in that world. From that point forward, a fiery hatred for humans begins to develop within him.
Y’know how Teddie’s real crafty, making those glasses for the Investigation Team to use to see better in the TV world? Well, after a while, he decides he’s tired of walking around bear naked and makes himself some clothes to wear. Those fingers aren’t dexterous for nothing. Not too long after he makes these clothes, Saki ends up in the TV world - for another reason that wasn’t thought through well enough yet, but it’s something like she has a Persona too. This AU is very generous with who gets Personas, I know, please bear with it for now. She ends up bumping into Teddie, the two interact, and because Saki’s a little bitch she finds Teddie to be quite strange, what with the way he talks and how he apparently “comes from the TV world,” and is very verbal about it - very rude about it, too. This first impression with a new human + Teddie’s already intensifying hatred for humans = Saki’s gruesome demise. “Are all humans like this?” Is what Teddie thinks. “Are they all cruel? Are they all mean?” Teddie now has a stronger hate for Humanity that only grows stronger and stronger the more he’s forced to sit in that quiet TV world and think and think and think and think about it.
And along with that hate for humanity, comes a hate for his current human form. So he crafts himself that bear suit of his, and wears it all the time - I believe he also makes it so whatever he bumps into next doesn’t think he’s weird sounding or weird speaking or weird… looking, which, I’ll describe now rather than at the end of the post. Teddie doesn’t look all that different, but the main changes are that his eye colour is now a duller, greyer shade of blue, he is overall even paler, and he is also a lot skinnier. No real reason for these design choices aside from self indulgence without going too overboard. Moving on from that, not too long after he makes the suit is when Chie and Yu and Yosuke go in for the first time. Teddie keeps on a facade of innocence and happiness for a “good first impression,” and nothing changes from then up until the appearance of Yosuke’s Shadow. Since a Shadow is the side of oneself that they don’t want to acknowledge or see, it’s chock full of bad traits and negative emotions - further solidifying Teddie’s belief that all humans are just awful, sinful, nasty creatures.
One thing that Isn’t well thought out at all, and something that I have no clue where to put on the timeline, is this whole deal between Teddie and Namatame. Basically, Teddie communicates with Namatame through the TV (can’t remember if he just talks through it, or sticks his head through), and convinces Namatame to start pushing people in not to save them, but for something along the lines of how he “secretly wants them to die.” Maybe it was because Namatame shares Teddie’s beliefs of humanity being repulsing, but it’s too vague a memory to make heads or tails of it. Don’t know how things would work out without it, though, so it’s sticking around as is for now.
Also, as of right now in the AU, the IT is completely unaware of Teddie’s human form hiding right under his bear form/bear suit. Good lord, I am already tired of typing this all out, this post is so long. Still got a long way to go, kind of.
Here’s another loose idea that hasn’t been fully thought about, and it’s when Teddie encounters his Shadow in Rise’s dungeon. My memories are a bit foggy on this one, but I’ll try my best to remember. So, his encounter with his Shadow stays largely the same, with maybe a couple of his Shadow’s lines being changed to represent how not only is he hiding originally being a Shadow from his teammates, but also how he’s hiding the fact that he’s the killer they’re trying to find - all of it is too vague for the IT to piece together, though. But also a thing that’s changed is his reaction to his Shadow is a LOT more aggressive, a slip up to show a small glance of his true personality - but again, the IT doesn’t think anything of it because, Teddie’s facing his Shadow here, of COURSE he’s going to act different when he’s coming face to face with a part of himself he wants to ignore. Eventually, he manages to accept his Shadow, but for one way or another, a second Shadow starts to develop within him. Maybe it’s because he only partially accepted his Shadow, maybe it’s because of something else - like he didn’t accept his Shadow for the right reason, I can’t remember. But it starts to develop. I remember wanting to give him a second persona akin to what Akechi has in p5 - one for lies, and one for truths, but this is one of those things that will either need to be completely cut out or heavily modified in my opinion.
Teddie kills more frequently in this AU. In between when he’s helping the IT rescue people from the TV world, he’s throwing in people on the night that it fogs up so the IT doesn’t have time to see people appear on the TV/doesn’t have time to go in and save them, resulting in their deaths. Teddie so far has only thrown in people who have been assholes or scum in his eyes, and these are the only people that end up dying in the TV world even with the advent of the IT. Teddie gets away with this by sneaking out at night sometimes and either witnessing these people do disgusting things, or overhearing about it. Two candidates/victims are the two girls from Yosuke’s social link (hopefully you know who I mean) and the bully/bullies from Chie’s social link. Though, for the two girls, I like the idea of it being AFTER Teddie comes to the real world for real and shows off his human form, and starts working at Junes. He’s “working overtime,” late at night, calls up those two girls and asks them to come to Junes to “help him stock shelves” - “I’ll make sure you and your friend get payed extra for it. I’ll take it out of Yosuke’s paycheck.” Next thing you know, they’ve been knocked out and thrown into the TV because they’re heartless assholes in his eyes.
Only way Teddie would get away with a killing like that, though, is through having an outfit to disguise himself from Junes’ security cameras - so, at some point in the timeline, that’s what he does. Repurposes his old clothes from the TV world into an outfit to disguise his identity, to let him keep killing, and he keeps it tucked away either somewhere in the real world or in the TV world. He probably does this before he “becomes human,” so that his clothes are kept secret from the IT team, and that whole “I’m like a newborn in here” scene can happen.
Also, just for clarification, that hate Teddie felt for Yosuke’s Shadow? And how it solidified his hatred for humanity yet further, and his belief that they are all scummy beings? This keeps happening for every single Shadow he sees. Chie’s, Yukiko’s, Kanji’s, etc.
Mitsuo Kubo is the only one thrown in by Teddie who doesn’t die, so that the plot can progress normally, but also because it probably went something like this. Teddie sneaks out late at night to find more disgusting humans to kill, to “purge the earth of such horrendous beings,” and comes across Mitsuo killing Morooka. A human? Committing murder? A human being slaughtering another human being? How sinful. How disgusting. How treacherous. Teddie has to deal with this immediately. So he throws Mitsuo into the TV world without waiting for the fog to settle first (it’s too dire of a situation to ignore, after all). He’s kind of hypocritical, thinking Mitsuo is a terrible person for committing murder (he is, though) and then going right ahead and throwing him in the TV, aiming to kill. He’s just cleansing the world, though - that’s how he sees it.
Also, I believe for most nights when he decides to sneak out, he’s wearing his disguise outfit, so that he doesn’t get caught if he’s in a situation like that where he kills someone on a whim - or just to avoid being caught when he’s out so late snooping around for more victims. Random fun fact by the way: the idea for this whole AU started from the fact that Teddie could use his knowledge of the TV world and how it works to easily get away with using it to commit crimes. Moving on now.
Another thing that doesn’t yet have a place in the timeline is this small thing. I like to think Teddie has a tendency to stay up later into the night because of his occasional nightly outings, and he doesn’t really have enough time to fix his sleep schedule - or he actually just CAN’T. But anyways, he’s keeping himself busy at night while he can’t sleep, maybe playing on an old console in Yosuke’s room, when Yosuke wakes up and starts talking to him until he also gets tired enough to fall back asleep. He says to Teddie that he’s worried about him. “You’ve got bags under your eyes, and you’re basically made of flesh and bone.” He says. Maybe Teddie’s skinny enough his ribs show a little. “This isn’t the first time you’ve stayed up this late, either. Like you’re restless about something.” Sometimes Teddie just paces around the room until he gets tired enough to pass out. “And, what time is it, like, 2:00 AM? I’m really worried about you, Ted.” And that really gets to Teddie. He starts to cry. Here he is, devoting his time to hating humanity, to killing humans, to putting on a happy go lucky, innocent facade around his “friends” to hide his true nature and keep himself emotionally distant from them - and poor Yosuke over here is oblivious to it all, worrying for his dear friend and roommate like this is all unnatural when it’s what he truly is on the inside. And for just a moment, Teddie feels truly bad, and he just keeps crying and crying and crying, probably while Yosuke holds him and tries to comfort him, until he exhausts himself, goes to sleep, and pushes it all out of his head the next morning. But on that night, he had let his guard drop, and he had let himself be vulnerable, and he had allowed himself to get a little closer to Yosuke - a little more attached to him than before. It was only a little, but it was enough to be concerning… it was “just a little” too much for comfort. He can’t let himself get close to that thing.
Oh no, I’m starting to lose focus. We’re nearing the end now. So, you know how Teddie makes that promise to Nanako, right? That he’ll stay in their world to play with her and such? He probably makes the same promise in this AU.
I say probably, because depending on wether he did or not leads to two separate endings, and I can’t decide on which I like more.
So, if he DOES make the promise, HE’S the one who pushes Nanako in. The reason? He’s getting too attached. He’s letting his guard down around a human, and that scares him. He’s getting emotionally attached and invested, and that scares him. He’s starting to care about something that he hates with all of his heart, and that scares him. So he pushes her into the TV, because he’s not allowed to do that, because all humans are evil - no exceptions. This results in Teddie being outed because, when Nanako dies in the hospital (don’t know how that happens yet without Namatame, plothole), he can’t handle the guilt anymore. It’s overwhelming him, suffocating him, drowning him. He falls to the floor, completely breaking down, screaming and sobbing about how it’s all his fault. Then, he either runs out of the room and throws himself into a TV after realizing he’d outed himself, or Yosuke throws him into a TV in a fit of rage and because he feels like Teddie betrayed his trust by pretending to act all innocent when he was the killer.
If he DOESN’T make the promise, or at least, doesn’t get attached, Namatame throws her into the TV and things play out the exact same until they get to the top of Heaven, where Teddie completely loses his shit at Namatame. Maybe he goes to beat the fuck out of him, maybe he’s screaming and shouting at him, in any case, he’s showing his raw personality now. That isn’t what outs him, though - it’s Namatame. “I recognize you.” He says, either through his voice or his appearance. “Why are you so mad at me? I’m doing what you told me to. I’m doing what you want.” Something along those lines. “What?” The IT reacts. “Teddie, is this true? Have you been lying to us?” And the only thing Teddie can do is freeze up, and run away, out of the dungeon - probably not without beating up Namatame a little more for outing him. “Fuck you.” It’s like an endless stream of insults and vulgar language pour from his mouth. “You’ve gone ahead and exposed me, you bitch. You little shit. I hate you. It’s all your fault.”
Now on to Teddie’s dungeon. This part is, uh… Pretty dark. General content warning for death ahead.
So, to contrast Nanako’s dungeon Heaven, Teddie’s dungeon is Hell. There are two concepts for this dungeon though - one is that it’s just conventional catholic/christian Hell, and the other was that it’s based off of/is the frozen over Hel in norse mythology. Because, Teddie has ice attacks, you know? But they’re both largely the same, if not visually. In the earlier floors, there are some objects strewn around like burnt and torn up images of Teddie and the IT, Teddie and Nanako, his bear suit, and maybe one or two other objects of some importance to him. The voices that are heard at the beginning of all the early floors consist of Teddie sobbing and dealing with his inner turmoil of hating humans but getting attached to the likes of Yosuke, Nanako, the IT overall, and the like. “They’re humans.” He thinks. “They’re humans, and all humans are awful. I hate all of them. But I love them. They’re different… They’re nice to me. I don’t deserve it.” “Maybe humanity isn’t so bad after all…” “*sobbing* I’m sorry, Nana-Chan…”
You know how earlier dungeons like Yukiko’s and Kanji’s have that floor in the middle of the dungeon where you encounter the Shadows and that weird title card thing appears? That exists in Teddie’s dungeon, and on the floor right before it, the voice at the beginning of the floor is just Teddie screaming hysterically, maybe even crying. Why? Well, when you go to that next floor…
There’s Teddie. Standing in front of the hanging corpses of Nanako and Yosuke, hesitantly reaching out to them like he can’t process what he’s looking at. And when the IT calls out to him from behind him, the way he looks at them is estranging. He looks terrified, he has to do a double take because one second he was staring at Yosuke’s corpse, then the next moment, he was looking at him, perfectly alive, with the IT. They try and reach out to him, but he’s like a spooked wild animal, and he runs away to the next floor.
The later floors are now decorated with Nanako and Yosuke’s corpses, possibly even the rest of the IT, and the voices now are just Teddie arguing with himself and screaming hysterically, like he’s going insane being in such a horrible place, like he’s becoming more and more deranged with every passing moment. “This is how it should be! All those heartless monsters DESERVE to die! They deserve to hang lifelessly this! But they don’t! I don’t want them to die! I don’t think like that! But I do! But I don’t! These guys are horrendous- no, they’re my friends! THEY’RE SCUM OF THE EARTH! NO, I DON’T THINK LIKE THAT!” And so on and so forth.
When they finally reach the last floor, the deepest floor, the final circle of Hell, they find Teddie there, deranged to the point of practically being a different person. That second Shadow that was developing within him now is toying with him, messing with his head, whispering things to him that make him clutch his head and beg for it all to stop. The IT can’t get through to him now, and he either snaps, gets hostile at them for being “heartless, monstrous, evil humans,” and forces them into a fight, or that Shadow ends up possessing him (either fully, or to a certain extent), and they have no choice but to fight him and knock some sense into him. In either case, he gains his second Persona - something that will most likely be similar to Magatsu-Izanagi, not sure yet - and also, for the sake of self indulgence, it’s like he can control wether or not he is more or less like a Shadow. AKA, goopy black forearms fitted with deadly sharp claws instead of fingers.
I can’t actually remember what EXACTLY happens after the battle, aside from Teddie Goes To Prison, but here’s another battle outcome I almost forgot about that I am DETERMINED to add into the final product. Remember at the beginning, when I specified that Adachi was the only member of the first group of Persona users to survive Teddie’s slaughter? Well, at some point, he overhears the IT talking about Teddie being the killer and the TV world’s existence and decides to butt in. “Can I come along too?” He asks. “I’m a Persona user, just like all of you. You’re talking about catching the culprit here, right? The same culprit who killed Mayumi in the beginning? The same culprit who probably almost got me, then?” Something along those lines. So, he goes in with them, and would you look at that - Teddie still hasn’t forgotten his face. So, in the case of “Teddie snapping and going all hostile on them,” it’s most likely because he sees Adachi mixed in with the IT and alllll of those emotions from so long ago come flooding back… combine that with his hysteria, and boom, you’ve got a raging Teddie hell bound on taking his revenge and getting some closure before he either goes to prison or dies trying not to.
And… I think that’s it. Only thing left to mention is that at some point, right before my hyperfixation ended, me and my gf were trying to figure out a way to implement an accomplice ending and a Teddie Arcana Change, but the end of my obsession came too early in the development of both of those, so there’s not much to say. Also, in this AU, I’m thinking of making Shadows hostile because of the first group of Persona users, like how Teddie hates all of humanity almost purely because of that group. Also, small detail, he’s wearing that disguise of his during the fight - dunno how he got it, but I do wanna add it in somehow, though. This post is also already long enough, so I should stop myself here.
Speaking of that, holy fuck, thanks to anyone who’s read this entire long ass messy post. Like that is just so awesome, I commend you for it. Seriously this post took actual hours just to write down, it’s way too long for any NORMAL person to read all the way through, heavy emphasis on normal (affectionate). Asks about this AU are welcomed and appreciated, if there are any. If not, seriously literally just the fact that anyone might be reading this message at all is enough to sustain me.

There is a Me Who Can Become Strong (Chapter 10)
Chapter 10: Uneven Riders
The power of Drago Knight Hunter Z requires teamwork, but as it turns out, the Riders' aren't... great at that.
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/32857183/chapters/82837186
As it turns out, using the Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat fucking hurts. While he thankfully wasn’t really hurt, at least nothing that wouldn’t heal pretty quickly, Emu was very much in pain. Asuna helped him back to the CR while Saki and Nico were still fighting Graphite.
When he and Asuna arrive back at the CR Director Kagami is in the midst of bemoaning Graphite’s large-scale infection, “It’ll be just like Zero Day again!”
Something in Emu didn’t like that statement very much. But he was in pain and wasn’t going to let that make him say something that would be a pain to deal with later. So he bites his tongue, nearly literally, and trudges over to the patient room.
Doctor Kyotaro is there, of course he is. Something about seeing him in that bed, the infection causing him to subtly glitch, made Emu tense. The glitching wasn’t much at the moment, most people would probably miss it, but he’d spent enough time searching for glitches that he could. It would grow, he knew, and if they weren’t quick enough, Doctor Kyotaro and everyone else Graphite had infected would die, disappear.
“I’ll fix this,” He finally says, “I promise that I’ll stop Graphite.” He’ll be damned if he lets one of, if not the first, good person in his life die.
Looking at him with the same kind expression from sixteen years ago, Doctor Kyotaro say, “Asuna told me about the fight, about how you tried to use Drago Knight Hunter Z on your own,” Emu’s not sure where he’s going with this. After all, how else would someone use a Gashat? “No doctor works alone, Emu. When I saved you, it was with the help of a whole team.” He tries not to flinch when Doctor Kyotaro calls him Emu. In that very moment, it feels very wrong. He isn’t much Emu, right now. This person is very much M.
Hesitantly, He wonders, “A team?” He’d never really considered the four of them being much of a team. Saki worked well with others fine, until Graphite was involved. Nico had only seemed to care about challenging him, or getting even for a defeat in some way – almost like it was all a game. And Kiriya… It wasn’t that Emu thought Kiriya was bad, but at three lies, it was hard to trust him. “Doctor Kyotaro, you know I don’t do co-op games well.”
“I know,” Doctor Kyotaro nods, “But I hope you can learn. All of you.”
Thinking about the other Riders, Emu’s not sure what to do when he leaves the room. I hope you can learn. “Yeah, Doctor Kyotaro,” He mutters under his breath, “I hope so too.”
---
Saki had leveled up after Emu was kicked out, though her focus on Graphite hadn’t ceased. Without the dragon Bugster here, Nico didn’t exactly have another opponent to worry about, so she too turned her attention to Graphite.
She shoots at Graphite, catching both his and Saki’s attention, “Stay out of this Nico!” Saki yells, swinging at Graphite, an attack he blocked.
“You didn’t stay out of M and mine’s fight yesterday!” Nico retorts, running up and shoving Saki slightly, then kicking Graphite, “Besides, I’m a higher level than you.”
“Well if you hadn’t taken our Gashats-“
“You involved yourself in it, otherwise I’d have just taken M’s,” Nico dodges out of the way of Graphite’s attack, shooting at Graphite and jumping back, “That’s on you, really.”
While the two were technically fighting Graphite together, they were also almost as much fighting each other. Which meant Graphite had more than a few openings to take advantage of. Nico would have loved to focus on just Graphite, but Saki was making it a bit hard, wanting to desperately to fight Graphite. Not that Nico even knew why.
Thankfully, someone she did trust to do half-way decent did show up. Not M, of course, but rather Lazer, already in Level 3. Not that she expected him to work any better with the either of them in this situation than her and Saki were with each other, but she at least figured he wouldn’t be so dead set on being the one to fight Graphite.
Not that it took long before Graphite managed to land a good hit on her, causing Nico to drop both the DoReMiFa Beat Gashat and the Gekitotsu Robots Gashat. Oh, Taiga was going to give her shit for that. Though she tried to pick them both back up, Saki had already grabbed them.
“Hey, I won those fair and square!”
“They’re not yours anyway!”
Kiriya glances at the two of them, “Who cares! There’s a dragon-“ Not that he was given an opportunity to finish. Graphite threw one strong attack at all three of them knocking them out of their transformations and back to the roof.
Right about then, Emu emerges from the doorway, having clearly ran the whole way. Asuna’s not far behind him. Nico notices that though he seems to be hurting a bit, he doesn’t have any visible injuries. Strange, the rest of them did. Of course they’d been fighting longer.
“I’m sorry!” He says, “Earlier, I acted terribly! But I think I know how we can defeat Graphite, since Drago Knight is a co-op game, we all need to work together.”
“No,” Saki answers immediately, “I am not working with a child or a liar when I can defeat Graphite on my own.”
“Hey! Who you calling a child?” Nico shoots back, “Not that anyone can work with Miss need-to-defeat-Graphite-all-on-my-own over there.” She gestures to Saki.
Kiriya seems casual as he responds, “You don’t use a Gamer Driver like the rest of us,” He’s looking straight at Emu when he says that, “No offense, Ace, but I’m not going to work with someone who’s clearly hiding something.”
That reminded Nico… “Yeah, and how’d you even beat the dragon earlier, anyway? You weren’t even transformed, just like the first time when you fought Salty’s Level 1.” Kiriya looked at her with surprise at that.
Eyeing the two warily, Saki asks accusingly, “Since when were you two buddy-buddy?”
“Since none of your business, Brave,” Nico shoots back, “Honestly, I don’t know why Taiga’s always singing your praises. You seem pretty shit at this whole thing, frankly.”
Saki stiffened at that, “Excuse me?” Then shakes her head, “Never mind, I’m leaving.”
Shrugging, Nico looks at Kiriya, “Whatever. Hey, Kujo, I’ve got something I want to talk to you about.” With that, she and Kiriya leave.
Now Emu stands alone on the roof, wondering what to do next. That was the only plan he had, and all three had managed to veto it. Still tired and sore from earlier, he sits down, realizing he’d really need to get home soon.
“Well,” He began quietly, unable to help but feeling small and helpless again, “That was that, I guess.”
Asuna stands beside him, “Don’t say that, Emu,” She puts a hand on his shoulder, “If anyone can find a way to get them all to work together, it’s you.”
“But how…?” Then he has an idea.
The first call is to Saki, she answers promptly, “Saki, listen, I don’t think I’ll be able to handle the Bugster operation tomorrow. I want to give you the Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat in the morning.”
Then to Nico, “Hey, Nico, no, don’t ask why I have your phone number, listen, I think you should take the Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat. I mean, you beat me fair and square yesterday, after all.”
Lastly, to Kiriya, “Kiriya, hey, so I figured you’ve probably got your shit together best here and I just don’t think I can handle Graphite after today. So could you meet me and come get the Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat tomorrow morning? Cool, see you then.”
---
Night falls on the city and Graphite watches from a roof. Mu walks up behind him, “Graphite?”
Graphite turns to face him, “Yes, Kin? Is something wrong?” He narrows his eyes, “Shouldn’t you be thinking about sleeping?”
“Not tired,” Was Mu’s immediate response, “Anyway, I was wondering what you were up to.”
“Waiting,”
“For what?” Mu stands at his side now, leaning against him slightly.
“The Bugsters to form,” Graphite answers, throwing his arm around Mu’s shoulders, pulling him closer. “Now you should at least head inside. It’s getting cold out and we don’t need you to catch a cold on top of what you already have.”
“It’s not that cold,” Mu tries to protest, but Graphite just turns around and uses his arm around Mu’s shoulders to lead him inside.
---
Emu’s waiting on the three of them the next morning, at the place he’d gotten them all to agree to meet at. The first to arrive was Saki, slightly bandaged. Then Nico and Kiriya arrive at the same time.
“Yo, Ace,” Kiriya calls, “Hear you told both Nico and I to come get the Gashat. Saki too, by the looks of it.”
He hadn’t expected Kiriya and Nico to be seemingly communicating that much… but he supposed they could still have been talking when he’d called the both of them. Saki looks between the pair and then to Emu.
“Intern,” She says, “What are you doing?”
Taking a step back and looking at the three of them, Emu asks, “You all want the Gashat, right?” The three all nod, “Cool, then you’ve got to beat me if you want to get it.”
Saki takes out her Gamer Driver and Gashats, “If that’s what it takes.”
“I beat you once, M,” Nico reminded, following in kind, “I can do it again.”
Kiriya does the same, “You’ve barely seen me fight, Ace.”
Emu holds up the Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat, alongside his own Mighty Action X. “Then let the game begin.”
Mighty Action X!
Drago Knight Hunter Z!
Taddle Quest!
DoReMiFa Beat!
Bang Bang Shooting!
Jet Combat!
Bakusou Bike!
Giri Giri Chambara!
Do-Do-Drago Kni-Kni-Kni-Knight! Dra! Dra! Drago Knight Hunter! Z! Para-DX!
Do-Do-DoReMiFa-So-La-Ti-Do! Ok! DoReMiFa Beat!
Jet! Jet! In the sky! Jet! Jet! Jet Combat!
Giri-giri-giri-giri Chambara!
The strength of Drago Knight Hunter Z wasn’t as overpowering this time, though Emu could still feel it gnawing on the edges of his mind. He’d have to make this quick, especially with how draining using this Gashat could be. Thankfully, he was outnumbered – one of the only times he’d be thankful for that, certainly.
He did his best to put up something of a fight, but an actual proper fight wasn’t the point of this exercise. As they fight, Saki drops the Gekitotsu Robots Gashat, which Emu wastes no time in picking up. Finally, all three of them ready their attacks, inserting their Gashats into their weapons. The armor comes flying off Emu before they’ve even attacked, just as he’d hoped.
DoReMiFa-Jet-Giri Giri Critical Finish!
The mascot character that was created by the armor splits into four Gashats, one going to each of the four Riders. Staggering a bit from the attack, Emu grins beneath his helmet.
“Drago Knight Hunter Z is a co-op game,” Emu explains, “Each Gashat is for each of the four players.”
Judging by the way Nico looked up at him, she must have realized what he was getting at too. She presses the stage select button on her Driver and they arrive in the game world. Standing across from them was Graphite, in his human form.
At the sight of a fight, he uses the Proto Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat, transforming into the black version of his Bugster form. Using the Gashat that each of the Riders had been given, they all transform into Level 5. This time, the power was properly divided, making it much easier to handle.
Each armed with their own part of the armor, they prepare to fight Graphite.
---
The colorful woman, who still reminded Mu greatly of Poppy Pipopapo popped into the game arena, watching the fight. She seemed excited to see that the four Riders were able to use the power of Drago Knight Hunter Z.
Walking up beside her, Mu notes, “They’re all fighting their own fight,”
“Oh!” She jumps, taking a step away from him. “You!”
“I’m not going to try to fight you or something,” He says, “This is Graphite’s fight. He’d be upset if I just interrupted it. And I’m not going to attack someone who can’t fight back.”
The woman seems to realize his point about the fight, hesitantly saying, “They’re not really fighting together…”
“Are you with them, Ms. Poppy?”
She jumps at the question, “What? Po-Poppy?”
“Because you look like Poppy Pipopapo, obviously,” Mu smiled, “But are you with them? Are the Riders friends of yours? I noticed you yesterday.”
More startled and taking another step back, the woman wonders, “You were there yesterday?”
Mu doesn’t really think that’s a very hard question, “Of course,” He said, “Graphite’s my friend. I wouldn’t want something bad to happen to him.”
“The Riders will beat him,” she says, slowly but certain.
“Then I’ll just have to choose between the two people,” Mu says, “When it comes down to it, I’ll choose the one that’s still here for me.” He doesn’t bring up the many people Graphite infected. He wishes he knew why Graphite had infected those people, why he wanted to stress Hinata.
Then he catches it. Though the Riders aren’t working together well, they are overwhelming Graphite, slowly but surely. While the four began to argue about their fighting, Mu runs over to Graphite, already transforming to Level 3.
“Graphite, let me help,” He pleads, “While their distracted, we might be able to beat them.”
“Kin, no,” Graphite insists, “This is my fight.”
“You’ll die. If they defeat you, they’ll kill you.”
Graphite looks at him and Mu can feel the sorrow radiating off of him, “Then I shall die and Hinata will live, along with my other victims.”
“No…” Mu attempts to plead, but out of the corner of his eye, he can see the four Riders preparing their finishing attacks. Graphite shoves him away, knocking the two Gashats free and losing the transformation.
Drago Knight Critical Finish!
The attacks come and don’t stop. Graphite deflects them away with his Fang, making sure only to send them in the directions that Mu wasn’t. But even Graphite couldn’t keep that up forever. Eventually, the attacks began to get through and by the time the smoke cleared, the only thing left was data disappearing up into the sky, and the Prototype Gashat on the ground.
“Graphite…” Mu stared in shock at the place where, moments before, his friend had once been. “Graphite!” He grabs the Gashat off the ground and holds it close. He pulls his hood back up, which had fallen down when Graphite had shoved him, and tried desperately to reign in his emotions.
The armor on the four Riders disappeared and they were all sent out of the game world, back to where they belonged.
---
Emu’s at least thankful Doctor Kyotaro and everyone is alright. Unfortunately, the Ministry now has to deal with a very public incident. He does not envy any of them.
He hasn’t seen Saki since they defeated Graphite. She disappeared quicker than Emu ever could. So he just began his walk home.
There were a few too many people to take his shortcut yet, so he was searching for somewhere more secluded. He hurt. So he really needed to get home, sooner rather than later. One would usually say that taking a secluded alley is a terrible idea. Emu has a pretty good reputation with alleys, though, so he wasn’t worried.
Maybe this time he should have been, given someone decked him in the gut. He doubles over and hopes that he was able to handle another fucking fight today.
“Holy shit, Ace, I was not expecting that.” In a similar manner, Emu had not been expecting to hear Kiriya. Or to realize that he was the only other person in the alley and thus the one who fucking punched him.
“What the hell Kiriya!?” Emu managed to gasp out, “Did I really piss you off that much today?”
He’s able to look up just enough to see that Kiriya looks surprised, “Not really,” He says, “I just wanted to test something but… Well this is a surprise.”
Which didn’t really make sense. Just what was Kiriya talking about? Having finally regain his breath enough to not be doubled over, Emu stands up straight. Only to see his appearance. “Fuck,” He groans, “You just had to go punch me.”
“What are you?” Kiriya asks, “A Bugster?”
“Got it in one,” This wasn’t exactly how Emu saw revealing this to anyone would go. Then again, he hadn’t exactly planned to reveal it at all, certainly not to someone who he worked with to fight Bugsters. “It probably explains whatever questions you had about me, like the lack of Gamer Driver.”
Kiriya still seemed a bit shocked, which really didn’t surprise Emu. “I know Nico said she saw you glitching yesterday… But I’d just thought you’d been infected or something…”
“Of course she did,” Emu groaned once more, “Listen, we should knock this out now, so since I know you like getting answers, give me whatever questions you have now so we don’t have to deal with this later.”
Considering for a moment, Kiriya asks, “Where’s the real Emu Hojo, then?”
Emu rolls his eyes, “Where do you think? Dead, as far as I know.” He shoves his hands in his pockets, “Has been for six years now.”
“Since Zero Day?”
“Since we were separated. Which was before Zero Day.” He pulls a hand out to run his hands through his now curly hair, shorter than it was in his Emu appearance, “I was in class on Zero Day.”
“Before?” Kiriya wondered, “Wait, what do you mean separated?”
Yeah, Emu had been quickly figuring out that the sight he was greeted with when he’d gotten his own body was not what most Bugsters were greeted with. “There were… scientists, I guess. I don’t know, by the time I ‘woke up’ they were all dead.”
Slowly, Kiriya asks, “If you’re a Bugster, why are you helping us?”
“Because becoming a doctor was Emu’s dream,” He answered, “And I know that if this were Emu in my position, he’d do the same. He’d become a Rider if it meant that he could make people smile.”
There isn’t another question, just silence, so Emu assumes that Kiriya’s done and begins to walk away. He was just about to simply teleport home when Kiriya does speak up again, “Hey, Ace?”
“Yeah?”
“If you ever want to just… be… not Emu, come find me, since I know.” Casually, Kiriya puts his hands in his pant’s pockets, “Besides, maybe I’ll come up with some more… scientific questions to ask you. You… don’t seem quite like Poppy. Also she won’t answer many of my questions.”
Emu laughs a bit at that, “You know what? I might take you up on that.” With that said, he gives Kiriya a grin and a wave and teleports home, leaving Kiriya in the alley.
---
“Well, Mu,” Kuroto begins, “We’re ready to begin the next part of the plan.”
Mu doesn’t respond. He’s laying in the nest, alone. Kuroto can see the Proto Drago Knight Hunter Z Gashat in his hand, being clutched to his chest. It was odd, seeing Mu willing go into the nest.
Sometimes people leave you,
It was probably what struck Kuroto to realize that it hadn’t been an ordinary Bugster that the Riders had defeated today. It had been Graphite. It had been Mu’s best and currently only friend. Something in him felt terrible about that. But it had to happen. At least, that’s what Kuroto keeps telling himself.
Halfway through the woods
“Don’t be too sad, Mu,” Kuroto called, “We still have the Proto Gashat, so we can bring him back eventually.”
Over in the nest, Mu seemed to perk up a little at that. “I hope so,” he says quietly.
He can’t be aware of how much it’s like a knife to the heart for Kuroto to see him like this.
You decide what’s right, you decide what’s good

in the misatzu au what language is most spoken by everyone at home and what are the girls most fluent in? also does everyone have different habits between each other like for example sae speaks japanese more with mina or something?
i’ve been through this before but with the addition of sai to the au and the fact that it’s been a while i think it’s a good idea to talk about it again. tzuyu doesn’t mind if chinese gets put on the back burner, her family had lived in korea for almost fifteen years so they were all pretty good at korean and if they needed chinese tzuyu could teach it to them on a need to know basis. sana and mina’s parents hadn’t lived in korea for nearly as long and they all struggled with it, so their children learning korean and japanese seemed like the best option at the time.
when sai was born, they were all obsessed with the idea of her being bilingual. they had all learned korean later in their lives and thought things would be wayyy easier for sai if she learned multiple languages when she was really little rather than try to teach them to her later. anytime sai would learn a new word in korean, someone would teach to her in japanese as soon as possible. it was confusing for sai at first but overtime she grew to understand it and appreciated her parents did that for her. they even put her in japanese school on saturdays, which sai hated at first but grew to like it when she made a lot of friends there. later when she’s older sai learns a little bit of chinese from tzuyu, but not near enough to be considered fluent, which tzuyu is fine with. sai will occasionally speak japanese with sana or mina, but it’s not often she does, only really when she doesn’t want to be overheard in public or she’s practicing something for japanese school or they try and test her by making her ask for things in japanese. most of the time she speaks it around their families or saki and nico.
the triplets were a bit harder to teach japanese. there were so many of them and misatzu had really busy lives and teaching them japanese had gotten lost a little bit in it all. when the triplets were around three they realized they barely knew any japanese so they decided to start teaching them, though it was a slower process than it was with sai. saki picks it up the easiest, then sae, and saya struggled the most with it. japanese ends up getting mingled into random words in the middle of korean sentences and it kind of becomes lingual chaos until the triplets are able to separate japanese and korean properly. they go to japanese school for a little while too but they end of having to quit because they have too much going on in their lives. saki also takes on learning chinese at around the age of seven, insisting tzuyu teach her. since saki was practically fluent in japanese already tzuyu didn’t mind. sae and saya learn a few phrases here and there, but mainly use korean to communicate with their mama’s side of the family. sae does speak in japanese with mina a lot, espically when she’s older. saya will occasionally use it, but usually just to ask for something or if she blanks and forget the korean word for whatever reason. saki speaks to sana and mina in japanese and tzuyu in chinese. saki also speaks japanese with eunji. they all use korean with each other lol.
nico is by far the most exposed to languages as a kid. since the older kids are better at japanese when she’s little, she hears them speak it a lot more than the others did at her age. she also hears tzuyu and saki learning chinese together, which makes her want to learn it to. she picks up japanese kind of quickly considering how much it’s spoken around her in the house and chinese comes next. she’s the only kid that went to both japanese and chinese school at one point. she even went to a special pre school that taught in japanese and korean. the reason for this was because misatzu had been worried when the triplets had started learning japanese late and saya’s delayed progress so they had gone all in with nico similar to how they had gone with sai. however because of this nico’s korean vocabulary does suffer a bit when she’s young, though she makes up for it once she starts proper elementary school. hina and nico speak japanese together (they both ended up going to the same preschool) and haeun pouts about it so much her parents end up getting her japanese lessons too. nico speaks japanese with mina and sana the most and she’s the only one who speaks chinese with tzuyu besides saki.
despite all this, korean is still the main language used in their house, as they do live there and misatzu do think it’s an important language for them to learn. they don’t mean to pressure their kids with so many languages, they just want them to have an easier time than they did learning foreign languages.

RECOMMENDATION
"It's like... You know, the way the song moves through your body is the same!" --Rinku Aimoto, ep.101_19:52
D4DJ: First Mix is adequately good with good music and at least gives you fun characters to look at.  It doesn't try to do anything new because it doesn't really need to.  It's fine for what it is.  It's fair to say D4DJ exist to promote itself outside of the show.  In that sense, it's good, as it makes me want the soundtrack.  Otherwise, if you have watched any similar style show, like a Love Live, you've already seen it.
CHARACTER
"That's not true! Me and Maho-chan and Muni-chan and Rei-chan! We're Happy Ara together! So a Rei-chan song can't not be like Happy Ara!" --Rinku Aimoto, ep.110_5:05
It starts with the mixer, adds a singer, finds an artist, then finally brings in a composer: Maho, Rinku, Muni, and Rei respectively.  They each handle what they are good at.  Maho and Muni didn't exactly get off on the right foot.  There wasn't any animosity. It was simply because a mixer was taking up the job of an artist. They will poke fun and tease the each other while another will come to their defense.
PRESENTATION
"It's not just mine. It's mine and hers. It's our performance." --Maho Akashi, ep.102_6:56
As for its portrayal of the community, there isn't much I can say. I have friends who are DJ's, but this isn't really meant to reflect that community as it serves to give the story a setting to take place. There are a few details here and there to give it authenticity, but it's more of a generalization of the music scene rather than the DJ genre specifically.
WRITING
"...the four of us don't perform Photon Maiden's music. Photon maiden's music is what the four of us perform." --Ibuki Niijima, ep.111_18:58
Most, if not, all the characters are on the same level.  At least, when it comes to how they are perceived.  Happy Around are kind of like a garage band who is self produced going up against people who have years of experience.  They are charming because they can hold their own by using what they already have.  While still pushing themselves further to better themselves.  They play off each other well.  It's comedy has good timing and is witty.  Most importantly, it's consistent.
FINAL THOUGHTS
"You created a new, different color and moved forward. So I want a new color for us to move forward too." --Saki Izumo, ep.111_11:48
Some titles are adequately good or just simply bad. D4Dj: First Mix is just good.  I encountered it casually, and watched it as such.  I wasn't blow away or anything like that.  It's a formula that works. The problem is, it's a formula that works.  Well, it's a problem if you think of it as one.  I enjoyed it, but nothing sticks out to make it a must watch.  Even so, I wanted to the next episode because it's a fun watch.  Ultimately, isn't that what's important?
