Ultimately to beat duplicate anxiety you have to love yourself.

You can’t keep comparing yourself to others and before you say ‘but dia it’s not that easy’ no the fuck it isn’t.

I still deal with it. But it is an issue within ourselves that we ultimately have to deal with.

Abandonment ? Been there. Being replaced for someone else with the same muse? Been there.

It’s gonna happen though. And when it does, collectively and disrespectfully fuck them. They don’t matter. They weren’t real ones. You try again.

There’s always gonna be someone who is willing to stick with you.

And I’ll say that having affiliates and mains, shipping exclusively definitely does not help with it because how many times have you looked at a blog, saw they have a main muse for their ship and didn’t approach them because they were already ‘taken’?

I have. We don’t make it easy. We all have unique versions of our muse. But we still feel out of sorts, especially when someone new comes and they’ve got fancy graphics and a whole lot of flash.

Don’t get discouraged. You gotta learn that you’re okay just as you are. There’s so many of each muse I can barely keep up, but I think that’s the beauty of such a large fandom. There’s so much to choose from.

I don’t mind being on ones affiliates page, but I don’t keep one myself. I’ll go as far as mains, but I won’t be exclusive. I want to remain as open as I can, though ppl who are my friends, do take priority. Because we talk everyday, we plot, we have things going on.

But at the end of the day, you make a lot of friends with the ppl who write the same muse as you. It’s fun to see wha you can come up with. Hell, the Jax’s over in the tadc fandom are getting our own jackets. We all love a bunny.

It doesn’t have to be a competition.

Late night wishful thinking but like

I think planting funky things around retention ponds should be more normalized!!

Like okay I get it retention ponds are meant to hold the runoff water from parking lots and drive throughs and the like so they aren’t exactly the cleanest water around. But like!!! Maybe this is different in other areas, but the only plants I ever see grow around retention ponds are cattails!! Which, like, are fine and great and dandy lets go cattails, but like

Where’s the whimsy?? Where are the flowers?? If I’ve got to see retention ponds whenever I go to a store or drive down the highway or pick up food for my mom, at least bring in some flowers!!

And it’ll benefit so much! A wider variety of plants can make it a more welcoming home to wildlife! Maybe the plants will filter some of the runoff stuff and the water can then be nicer for even more wildlife! Maybe the flowers can be a nice food source for butterflies and bees on their journeys and day trips!! And humans like seeing things be pretty!

Maybe its easier said than done! Maybe most places already do this and its just my city or state that doesn’t really I’d be willing to believe that! But lets get some color in these goddamn retention ponds!!

Swamp milkweed! Aquatic milkweed! Pickerelweed! Water lilies! Irises! Cardinalflower! Fuck it, put some goddamn duckweed in there!! Get some color in those things or so help me!!
