The skin underneath his feathers being the same as his arms not only looked weird but didn’t make a lot of sense, so I made it a different shade, making it the only color I haven’t color picked from the game aside from the white and the clothes (yet to be shone).

Have fun with this twink and the thin featherless trail on his midriff while I work on the others.

I use a PS action template for my sharpening which basically consists of doubling of the main image layer and then applying selective sharpening (500%) to the first and the same selective sharpening (with the same settings) combined with gaussian blur (1.5 - 2px radius) to the second layer (with opacity set to 50%). The radius of the gaussian blur determines how much detail you want to retain in the sharpening process, a small radius gives you more detail while a bigger radius gives you more of a glossy/hazed/beauty filter look. I usually adjust it depending on the initial resolution of the scene and the lighting etc. In my experience this template works best for scenes with regular lighting/increased highlights or well lit darker scenes since it makes the details look more crisp. With darker scenes that are more poorly lit overall I recommend using a different sharpening technique since you won't be able to erase the image noise and do gamma corrections etc., even with an increased gaussian blur radius. But my solution to that is just to avoid dark scenes altogether lmao.

But yeah I have been using this template for years and I know it's basic but it's always worked great for me. I hope that helps!

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about
