[elf] Elaris
elf!Elaris x human!Hazel & Mark Good to know: Elaris!Reader, voyeurism, cuckold, bisex males, a bit of humiliation
Summary: You spend your night with a soon-to-be-married couple.
Tumblr media
You can feel their gaze on you the whole night. You can barely hide your knowing smirk behind your glass as you continue drinking at the counter. The music is quiet and soft, mixing with the conversations all around the bar of the hotel. It's a busy but calm night. You feel relaxed and curious. You watch as the woman stands up from the table nearby, saying goodbye to her friends. Her high heels softly click on the shiny marble floor. The pair stays seated, leaning closer to each other to speak. Anticipation rushes in your blood. You wait.
And you don't have to wait for long.
A few minutes later, someone sits down next to you. A half-empty glass lands on the counter with long, delicate fingers around it. Your eyes move up to the woman from the table. For long seconds, none of you say anything. "Can I help you?" You break the silence. "I hope you can," she replies, smiling. "My name is Hazel." "Elaris," you nod. Your gaze wanders from her eyes over her shoulder. The man is still at the table, trying not to stare too much. "He is Mark," Hazel tells you. "We will get married tomorrow." You lift your glass. "Congratulations." "Thank you," she smiles, looking back at Mark for a second. "Would you like to join us?" She nods to the table. "Our friends just left, and we would really like the company." "I'm not sure I am the company a soon-to-be-married couple would want," you tell her. "Don't be so sure about it," Hazel replies with a small grin. A glint in her eyes makes you change your mind. There is something in it that you want to explore some more. Of course, you already have a guess at what they may want, and you are not opposed to the idea. "Okay," you tell her, standing up from your seat and holding out your hand for her to take. Her fingers slip into your warm palm. "If you are sure."
Mark greets you with a handshake and an introduction. "Elaris," you reply, sitting down on the chair where, not long ago, their friend sat. "Your girl told me you would like some company." At the mention of his bride, Mark curls his arm around Hazel's shoulder and pulls her against his side. There is no possessiveness in his movements as Mark smiles at Hazel before turning his attention back to you. "We will get married tomorrow," he says, and you nod, sipping from your drink. "And we would like to enjoy our last night as girlfriend and boyfriend." One of your brows moves up in question, and the corner of your lips jerk as you fight with your smirk. "Oh?" You hum. "I heard there are a lot of options for couples." Hazel grins. "And what do you think about threesomes?"
-
You are already hard when you reach their room. The keys softly jingle in the young woman's hands as she opens the door. You follow her inside. Her soon-to-be husband is behind you. His steps are soft and quiet on the thick carpet. The door clicks when he pushes it close, turning back the lock so nobody can disturb you. Hazel's bag lands on a chair with a thud as she makes herself comfortable. Soon, her dark brown hair falls from its ties over her shoulders in soft curls. You miss the sight of the elegant curve of her delicate neck. The golden necklace glints under the light when she turns around, facing you. A giddy smile plays on the corner of her lips, and her eyes jump back and forth between you and Mark. You can see excitement and desire shining in her dark irises.
"Are you sure about this?" Your attention turns to the young man. There is still a hint of doubt in you, even though you saw Mark watching you with the same need as his girlfriend. They want you, and you bask in their attention. "Yes," Mark nods immediately. "She is yours for the night." "And what about you?" You ask him, stepping closer. His breath hitches. "Who do you belong to for the night?" "You?" His reply sounds like a question. "That's right," you smirk, grabbing the back of his neck when you are close enough to kiss his lips. You tower over him easily. His hands grip your shoulders, bracing himself against your body. You push your mouth against his, running your tongue over the seam of his lips. "So you enjoy other men fucking your girlfriend, huh?" You ask him. Your words brush over his lips. His soft pants fan over your face. "Seeing another cock filling up her tight pussy makes you hard." "Yes," he groans. His eyes flutter shut at the image. "Then make me ready," you order him, pushing him down to his knees. "Get me ready for her cunt."
While Mark is busy taking out your cock, you glance over at Hazel. She watches your pair with half-closed eyes. Her breathing is already heavy and fast. "And you." The woman needs a few seconds to tear her eyes away from his boyfriend. "Get naked and lay down on the bed." Hazel does as you say. For a second, the sound of the dress's zipper fills the room, and the tight fabric falls around her legs to the floor. Her underwear matches. "Don't take off your panties," you change your mind after a second. A deep grunt leaves your lips when you feel Mark's fingers around your erection. "Lay down on the bed and play with yourself. I want your panties soaked by the time your boyfriend sucks me off." Even though you are not an incubus, you can almost feel their desire slapping you across your face. It pumps into your veins, rushing down your blood to your already hard cock.
After watching Hazel get comfortable on the bed, you look down at Mark. His face is just a few inches away from the tip of your length. His fingers are around your shaft, pumping. "How can you like this?" You ask him, smirking and with a hint of mockery in your voice. "How does it feel, hm? Making my cock wet and ready to fuck your woman? Does it make you hard?" "Yes," he forces a ragged answer out of his lips. His eyes are on your cock the whole time. Grabbing the base of your erection, you draw the line of her lips with the tip. You let your pre-cum wet his skin. You can see his tongue poking out for a taste. "Open up," you order him. His jaw falls open immediately. You hit his tongue a few times. Letting a few drops fall into his mouth. "Do you like it? Do you want more?" Mark nods. His hands are on your thighs, digging his fingers into your jeans-covered muscles. "Then suck me," you tell him. "So I can fuck your soon-to-be wife."
A loud groan escapes your chest when you feel his warm mouth around your cock. He gulps you down easily, not even gagging, even though you can feel the back of his throat. A shaky laugh mixes with your next words. "You are like your girl, aren't you? A cock hungry slut." His moan goes straight to your balls. Your whole body jerks at the vibration. Your fingers curl around his dark blonde locks. Your rings glint under the lights of the room. "Fuck," you groan. Mark closes his lips, hollowing his cheeks. He wants to suck the life out of you. "Are you sure you are not an incubus?" His mouth is warm and wet. His tongue is flat against your shaft, and his throat tightens as he gulps. Your grip on his hair is almost painful. Your hips jerk forward, making him gulp down more of your cock. Tears glint in the corner of her bright blue eyes. His pale skin is flushed into a nice pink color. "Use your saliva," you tell him.
The only sounds coming from Hazel are her loud breathing and heavy pants. You look at her. The young woman lies in the middle of the bed, legs spread open. Her pink nipples are hard pebbles from playing with them so much. Her other hand is between her legs, trying to give herself as much friction as she can through the thin fabric of her panties. "He is such a pretty boy, no?" You ask Hazel. "His mouth is full of my cock." Mark moans, and you grunt again. Your hips buck forward. Tears run down his cheeks at the pressure. Hazel says nothing besides an impatient whine. "How often do you do this, hm? Watching your man sucking off another so he can fuck you? Which one of you is more desperate?" You really can't choose. Mark sucks your cock like his life depends on it while Hazel stares at the scene, mesmerized.
When you feel your orgasm building up, you have to force yourself out of his sweet mouth. Your fingers curl around the base of your shaft to stop yourself from cumming. Not now. You have other plans. "I would love to plaster your throat with my seed, but I have to take care of your girl," you tell him, enjoying the disappointment on his expression. Leaning down, you tilt his head up to kiss him again. Pushing your tongue into his mouth, you can taste yourself. "Don't worry," you tell him. "If you can keep yourself from cumming, I will have a reward for you."
You let go of the young man so he can fetch himself a chair not far from the bed where his girlfriend is still playing with her pussy. You make your way to Hazel, climbing up on the bed and tugging down her panties. Her pussy glints with wetness, but you are busy with the soaked fabric. "Take out your cock," you tell Mark, watching him obey you once again. His erection pops out of his pants. Hard and red. You fling the fabric over to him, and he catches it with one hand. "Use it to jerk off."
Your attention turns back to the girl in front of you. Your eyes wander over her body, pausing at her wet pussy and the soft globes of her breasts. Adjusting yourself above her, you let your arms take most of your weight as you lean down to kiss her. It's softer than what you shared with her fiancé, but not as submissive. She teases you back as you push your tongue over her lips, licking into her mouth. By the time you are done with her, her lips are swollen and red. You continue your way down her body, licking into the curve of her collarbone, flicking her nipple with your nose before taking it into your mouth. Your tongue rubs the small pebble, sucking. Her fingers find their way to your hair. Her nails scrape your skull. Her back arches, pushing her tits more to your face until you let it go with a quiet pop. It glints with your saliva.
While you are busy tasting her body, your cock is still hard between your legs. You can feel her soft skin as you rub yourself against her. A thin path of pre-cum leads the way to her pussy. Licking up your own juice, you bury your face into her cunt. You don't waste your time with warming her up. You lick up on her slit, ravishing her soft folds and sucking on her clit. You rub the small bundle of nerves with your tongue, biting it softly until Hazel bucks her hips against your face. Her cry is hoarse and desperate. She soaks your face, filling your senses with her taste and smell.
Mark watches you feasting on her girlfriend's pussy the whole time. His hand is around his own cock, pumping himself with a steady rhythm. He stares at the way Haze's muscles twitch with pleasure, and her lips open with another moan. He can't see your face because of her thighs. Your fingers dig into the soft flesh as you keep Hazel open for yourself. Your other hand slips down between her legs. He can only imagine your fingers disappearing in her soon-to-be wife's pussy. You smear her juices even more, pushing and stretching her hole so she can take you soon. Hazel's back leaves the bed again; her tits are round and heavy. Mark can see the soft line of her ribs in that position. For a second, his heart jumps into his throat with despair. He can feel his balls jerking with the need to cum. He needs his every control to stop himself at the last second. He doesn't know what his reward will be, but he doesn't want to give it up. Hazel's panties are still around his cock. The soft fabric is wet with the mix of Hazel's and his juices. He can smell it. He can almost taste it.
Hazel's body starts to shake as you push her through her first orgasm. Her thighs tighten around your head, keeping you in place. You can feel the fluttering of her pussy around your fingers. Your cock jerks at the feeling. You can't wait to feel it for real.
"If I have to die between a woman's legs, I'm happy to go," you groan when she lets you go. Your face is a mess of her cum. You can taste nothing but her. "Your pussy tastes so sweet. Now I understand why your boyfriend likes to share you. It would be a sin to keep you just for himself." From Hazel's flushed, breathless form, you turn your gaze to the man still sitting on the chair. He almost looks pathetic. A thin layer of sweat glints on his skin; he is as flushed as his woman. He looks beautiful. "Did you enjoy it?" You ask him. "Seeing me feasting on this sweet cunt?" Mark nods. "Do you want more?" You continue to taunt him. "You want to see my cock disappearing in this tight hole until she screams my name?" "Yes." His answer is barely louder than a whisper. "Say it," you tell him. "I want to hear it." "Fuck her." "Fuck who?" You smirk. "Fuck my girlfriend," Mark gasps out. "Fuck her until she can't walk." Your smile widens. "It wouldn't be good for your wedding now, would it? Imagine her walking down the aisle with my cum seeping down her legs. She says her vows and still feels me in her cunt." Both of them moan at your words. Yeah, you like the thought of it too.
When Hazel calms down a bit, you kneel up, pointing your cock to her entrance. Letting your cock soak in her juices, you tease her clit, rubbing the tip against the small bud. "Are you ready?" You ask her. "I will fuck you in front of your husband. He can watch as I pump you full with my cock." Hazel nods. "Please." "You two are just desperate sluts, aren't you? Both of you are so ready for my cock." The woman moans and nods. Anticipation rushes through her body straight between her legs. Her pussy throbs with her previous orgasm and need for more.
And you are ready to give it to her.
You push into her slowly, letting her get used to your size as you stretch her walls and fill her pussy. Her walls are tight and warm. A low groan breaks free from your chest at the feeling. "Can you take all of me?" You ask her, watching your cock disappear in her wet channel. "Can you be a good slut and do it?" "Yes," she cries, nodding. "Please." With a hard thrust, you fuck into her fully. Your groans mix in the quiet room. You can feel her pulsing around you, sucking you in. "Fuck!"
Mark's hand stops around his erection for long seconds. Your body molds against her girlfriend's as you lean onto the bed again. He can see the line of your muscles. Your hips move back and forth with fastening speed. You fuck into the young woman with such force Hazel has to grip the bedsheet to keep herself in place. Her hips move in sync with yours. The wet sound of your fucking rings in his ears. His cock throbs between his fingers.
Every nerve in Hazel's body is on edge. Her muscles are taut, and the burning coil in her stomach sears through her veins. You reach every sweet spot in her pussy, making her cry for more. Your grunts vibrate against her chest. Her nipples graze your chest.
"Does it feel good?" You grunt. "Taking my cock in front of the man you plan to marry tomorrow like a good slut. How many times did you take another man in front of him, huh? How much cum did you take from strangers? Fuck!" Her nails dig into your shoulder blades. The red mark burns on your skin. "Fucking sluts! Pathetic!" The more you talk, the more they moan. The couple finds pleasure in your words as you continue. "Cum around me then! You are so desperate for cock one is not even enough anymore. I want to feel your pulse around me as I pump you full." "Yesyesyes," Hazel chants under you, her lips are open, and her eyes are half-closed. A drop of sweat runs down her neck, and you lean down to lick it up. "If your little boyfriend stays being a good boy, I even let him eat my cum from your pussy." Another moan echoes off the wall from both of them. "Cum, Hazel," you grunt with clenched teeth. Your eyes glint with dark desire as you pump her. Your cock slides in and out of her pussy. Your juices drip down her ass, pooling on the sheets.
Your growl fills the room when you feel her tightening around you even more. You can barely move in her hold. The woman's body twitches and shakes as her orgasm wrecks her body. Tears run down her cheeks, and saliva shines on her lips. Her pussy sucks you in, demanding everything you can give her. "Mark," you groan out the man's name. The veins on your neck are visible as you force the words out before you reach your orgasm. "Cum!"
You and the young man cum at the same time. While Mark paints his own clothes and hand with the pearly liquid, you shoot your seed inside Hazel's pussy. Your hips move on their own, pumping her until your juices flow out her hole even more. Your whole body shakes as you keep yourself from falling on the woman. For a second, you think you will never stop cumming. You will be here forever, between the woman's legs, keeping her full and wet.
You sigh heavily as you pull out of her, hearing Hazel's sensitive hiss at the loss of your cock in her still-throbbing cunt. You fall onto the bed next to her, pulling on her thigh to keep her open. Mark still pants after his orgasm as you smirk over at him. "Come and eat," you tell him.
As you watch the man slurping out your seed from her girlfriend's pussy, you know you have a long night ahead of you.

Brotherwise Games: The Mistborn Deckbuilding Game (and it's possible that will be the final name; the Star Wars deckbuilding game is just called "The Star Wars Deckbuilding Game," so we might end up doing the same), that's a really exciting project, as well.
The game is essentially themed around being a mistborn in training and contending with rival mistborn, and really getting straight into Mistborn duels and battles, while still having some of the intrigue that's a big part of Mistborn books and a big part of the non-physical metals.
Cosmere.es: I think the image you shared was Vin. Is it like you are going to be playing the characters themselves? Or are you going to be playing other mistborns, or...?
Brotherwise Games: The setup is that you are playing one of the named characters. So you're playing as Vin or Kelsier. Or Shan Elarial, an Inquisitor, or Zane is another playable character.
Cosmere.es: Can you be a kandra?
Brotherwise Games: There is a kandra card, but that would be kind of an ally. Same with a lot of the mistings, and things like that. Within the boundaries of a deckbuilding game like this, everybody's gotta have a similar level of capability. I can see us doing a feruchemy expansion in the future, but right now a keeper is just one card.
Everybody's a mistborn, everybody's got access to the eight core metals, and then over the course of the game you can gain access to atium, which has really big effects, often game-winning effects.
Cosmere.es: So we are in Era One, the first books, maybe the first? The Final Empire?
Brotherwise Games: Yeah. The first couple of books, I'd say, is the general time frame here.
If this game does really well, we could always expand into future eras. There's other ways we could adapt the system to handle Era Two stuff or later Era One stuff, but we're starting with what we think are some of the most iconic and recognizable aspects of... being a mistborn, jumping around rooftops, throwing coins at each other, getting into fights, going to balls, convincing people to do things. All those classic aspects that you think of in Mistborn.

I get confused when I put 'Hero' and 'Villain', so I gave them names.
Veilar - Villain
Solstice/Dune - Hero turned Villain
Soul General - Hero
Lunares - Hero
Elaris - a planet/kingdom
This is written in the villain's pov. Ty!
Angst & Fluff
Prompt #35
“Such fools, to give up on hope” “Hope was always temporary…” “My dear, you were never temporary.”
Veilar pov
How chaotic. Almost all the heroes are indisposed at this present time. All the villains will be vying for the throne of the underworld with them gone, order is only an illusion now.
It was an amusing thought, unfortunately, disrupted by the appearance of a hero.
Beat up and tired, He looks like he could fall at any moment. How amusing!
“Veilar…” The sound of my name sounds rather resigned coming from him at this hour.
“Soul General! How pleasant it is to see you this fine night! Though I see that you are… stressed? No, in a turmoil perchance?”
“Oh shut up! I’m fine! Just dealing with things. " Strange, he isn’t one to lose decorum.
“Things? Oh! Let me guess. The hilarious catastrophe of your hero’s fall?”
“Words travel that fast, huh? Guess it was expected. Fucking Solstice.”
Yes, my general. It was to be anticipated. “He has started calling himself ‘Dune’, you know? Sided with Visio of all beings. I find it to be rather… abrupt.”
Silence. He was silent. He should be responding to me. It is only proper human manners of course.
The sound of soft sniffles and occasional sobs snapped me out of my thoughts. – He’s crying.
“You’re crying. Why?”
“Why? Why! Maybe because my sworn brother, our HERO, abandoned us! He betrayed us! He tried to fucking blow up a damn world and every person on it! Left me to go join a decrepit relic who died ages ago! Maybe I’m crying cause my mother almost died!”
“And yet Elaris was saved was it not? The protective shields reactivated and the core cooled. As for your mother, she survived.” I pointed out. The world was saved and his mother is still alive.
“‘Survived’ does not mean well! It does not mean stable, it doesn’t mean healthy, nor does it mean happy or even fucking awake! Luna is in the damn ICU in a fucking coma and I can’t even visit her! I’m sad and angered because everything is going to shit, all because he apparently lost something as stupid as hope! And I don’t… I don’t know what… to do…” A sense of loss? Perhaps Abandonment? Confusion, turmoil, and hatred, feelings all mixed into one. Despite the feeling of ‘sadness’ for my state, this is one of the times I am grateful for such inherent apathy built within me.
As for his turmoil and shall I dare say, meltdown… I do understand. Logically, it is normal for one to feel lost after such tragic circumstances. Though the concept of hope? It intrigues me.  I never had hope, just as I never had emotions. Though all of that may have started to change recently.
“You are going through some things. Though I was not made to believe in such trivialities as hope, I do know that factually, Lunares is strong. You take after her. You are strong and you can handle this just fine. I…” – dare I say it “ I believe in you.”
“Hah! A clone believes in me! That should not give me the comfort I feel now, but thank you.”
His words brought a small smile to my face and the weighted feeling I felt before had lessened. How peculiar.
“And as for your fallen comrade, he is a fool.” I continued.
“For losing hope?” he asks, his eyes seeming to glint with tears under the light.
“For losing hope.”
“Yknow, as hurt as I am, I can see why. And I hate it. After all, hope was always temporary.”
How bitter my dear general. “You were never temporary.”
He seems a bit better now. No longer crying, but still rather teary-eyed. I look away from him for a moment. The night is lifting. A night of crime was not fated for today I suppose.
“Will you leave?” he asked me. It was almost as if he was asking for me to stay.
“Where to? I am not needed elsewhere.” Not a lie. I have no plans for the day.
“Stay?” Always.
I didn’t verbally respond, I only hoped that my action of staying closer to him conveyed my answer. We sat in silence together for a while. Despite most finding silence uncomfortable, It was the opposite for me.
“Do you still feel sad?” I asked. It was a query that was somewhat worrying for me. He was no longer crying, his face blank as he stared at the sunrise. A sign that should mean that he was fine now, yet the illogical, almost human, part of me spoke otherwise.
“I don’t know. It hurts to breathe, it hurts to think, it hurts to exist.” it sounds so raw coming from him as if he were physically wounded. It doesn’t match. It isn’t right.
“Then I will stay to numb your hurt.”
He responds with a “Thank you.”, and according to all the data I gathered, it is not appropriate for me to respond anymore as the conversation has ended with your words. Still, in my mind, at the very least, I thank you too, dear general …

Rank your favorite LIs within your favorite stories. (i.e., rank the OH lis, BOLAS lis, etc.)
Hey Nonny,
Thank you for the ask! I want to preface that these are my opinions, and others have different opinions, and that's all right. I'll do this for all the Choices stories I've read (and remember! lol). But I'll start with the 2 multiple LI stories I write for first.

Red Carpet Diaries * I'm only about 5 chapters in - so this is subject to change.

The Royal Romance
Drake Walker (Sorry, curmudgeons with a soft spot for LI are my kryptonite)
Liam Rys

Alright its time to introduce the first character of the "main group story". And even tho all the characters in the group are obviously Main characters, if I had to point at just one and say "thats the Main one" it would probably be her. Since she is the one who went on a quest and just "adopted" these other idiots on the way. So she is kinda the driving force. And the only one who consistently has a brain cell. So without further ado its time to write down some Information for our favorite "Angel of light"
–––––––––––
General Information
Name: Rúnya Calanoré
Nickname: Angel, Sparky (By Lucina), Oversized Bird (this one, tho it might sound like an insult is actually meant as a funny term of endearment. Kallista is the only one that sometimes uses it as an insult or with a threat)
Age: 25
Race: Aasimar
Class: Cleric (Light Domain)
Pronouns: She/her
Romantic Orientation: Aromantic
Sexual Orientation: Asexual
Physical Appearance
(You can also check the included pictures)
Eye color: Bright Orange (seems to glow a bit)
Skin color: Moderate brown/tanned
Hair color: Black
Height: 1,70m
Weight: 75kg
Body type: Broad-shouldered, muscular
Tattoos: Has the holy symbol of her goddess tattooed between her wings (picture at the end)
Scars/Birthmarks: On her middle and lower back old, faded scars from a whipping
Other distinguishing features: Wings on her back, a slight glow surrounding her (less noticable but her body temperature is slightly higher than average)
Fashion style: When she isnt wearing her armor she mostly wears vestment or similar clothing of her temple. You will pretty much only see her in bright yellow or orange colors
Accessories: Wears the holy symbol of her goddess as a necklace.
Other notes: Her wings play a heavy part in her body language (for example when she is mad or tries to be threatening she involuntarily spreads them out. Stuff like that)
Picture:
Tumblr media
Drawing made by me

This was a commission done by becks_art on instagram
Psychological Traits
Personality: Kind-hearted and good-natured, always ready to help those who need it. But if you mess with her or her friends she wont hesitate to pay it back in kind.
Temperament: Most of the time she is very patient (just look at her babysitting a group of chaotic idiots) and tries to solve problems in a diplomatic manner. Very slow to really get angry, but if you do manage to piss her off, she can become quite aggressive and violent.
Hobbies: Between the quest given by her temple, her desire to help people, and her having to babysit the other five idiots, she doesnt really have much time for any hobbies. However she started writing a sort of journal, documenting her adventure, writing down new information especially about demons and such. So in what little free time she has, she works on that. Also often collaborates with Elari and in rare cases Kallista, to make her scribbled notes into something decent.
Morals/Virtues: She is compassionate and empathetic, always trying to help people and do what is right.
Phobias/Fears: Secretly is afraid, that she wont be able to live up to the expectations everyone (including herself) put on her.
Angered by: People being unjust or unecessary cruel. People messing with her friends.
Pet peeves: When people randomly touch her wings without asking permission first.
Routines: Prays to her goddess at least once a day
Bad habits: She has a habit of trying to fix peoples trauma or other mental health issues, even when those people tell her, they dont want her help.
Secrets: The scars on her back and the Story behind it. She doesnt activley keep it as a secret, but its Not something that comes up in conversation that often and unless you See her without a shirt, you wouldnt know about the scars. So her group didnt know for quite a while.
Abilities etc.
Physical abilities: Great physical strength, flight
Magical abilities: Innate ability to create and wield fire and light; healing magic and other magical abilites gifted to her, by her goddess
"Special" Ability: Can deepen the connection to her goddess, which increasea her innate fire powers. The more she deepens it, the stronger they get. Hoewever her mortal body isn't designed to hold that much godlike power for a long period of time. If she takes too much for too long she starts burning herself up from the inside out. The highest point of this ability lets her turn herself into a small Supernova, which would kill her but also incinerate everything around her in a good radius.
Languages known: Common, Celestial, Infernal
Relationships:
Partner/Significant other: None
Parents/Guardians: Irene Calanoré (Mother, deceased), Henri Calanoré (father)
Key family members: Her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandmother (sorry about that one) is the goddess of light and fire, Kaida
Best friends: Her childhood best friend from her temple, Lucina
Friends: The rest of her group, she is closest with Phi
Enemies: Any demonic or shadowy creature
Mentors/Teachers: In early years her father, later The priests in her temple
Temple/Goddess: She is a devote follower of Kaida and a priestess of her order
Other notes: When she was sworn into the service of her temple, she took a vow of celibacy and abstinence.
Short overview of backstory:
As mentioned above, she is a descendant of the goddess of light and fire Kaida (it runs on her fathers side), however through the years the divinity was "watered down" so her father and grandparent etc. Had so little of it, they were considered regular human
For whatever reason the divine spark flared up again with her, enough to cause her to be born as an Aasimar with wings (even tho thats quite rare)
Unfortunatley there were no magically gifted healers nearby to save her mother, so she died shortly after giving birth to her
Her father never blamed her for it and made Sure she didnt either, but her mothers family did
Growing up she had no control over her fire abilities and tended to sponaneously Set things on fire
This eventually escalated in a scenario that i will probably write a short story about so we are not getting much into it now
All you need to know is that thats when she got her scars and she and her father had to leave their village afterwards
Her father decided to bring her to a temple of Kaida, hoping they could help her to control her abilities
So from that time on she spent her time training and learning the rituals of the order, and to deepen her connection to Kaida to be able to fly, etc.
It was at this time, that she became friends with Lucina
At the age of 16 she Was sworn into the order as a priestess and made her vow of celibacy (she knew for years she wanted to do this, so she kinda "trained herself" to become aro/ace)
The order also tries to bring light into the World and fight of demonic or shadow creatures and due to her heritage the high priests decided, she Was the Most suited for the task and started an extensive training for that to later send her on the quest
And thats kinda what she is doing, why she is out in the world in these stories. Anything else that happens after is more "recent" and will be put in writing.

Juniper Wall Day 2 Part 1 ☀️🌸 Spring 4 🌸☀️ Word count: 3.032
Previous part ❀ Next part
The next day, Elari awoke, bleary and sore. Their mouth felt full of cotton, and their eyes were crusted in the corner. It hurt to focus.
When a door slammed shut, they startled, clambering to their feet. The old house creaked as she walked about, a little nervous at the sudden realization of not having a host nearby.
On the table sat a letter. Anise's handwriting was scratchy, and some letters were not fully closed.
I'll be asleep until the evening, but I'd love to hang out with you when I get up! (:
A small plate of muffins made Elari's stomach growl, and she all but swallowed a couple before wiping her mouth off with the back of her hand. There was only so much she could stare at before she felt that awkward gnawing after standing in a house she didn't know with a person she just met yesterday asleep.
She supposed Botan had already headed out. Which made the biting feeling worse as they winced. With both siblings out, there wasn't really anyone she knew. With a huff, she forced down that thought.
Outside, she was met with a better viewpoint of the town. Mostly log houses, they all circled the center of town, where a large fountain sat. A bronze statue depicting a tall elven woman stood as its figurehead, hand on the scabbard of her sword, staring off into the wilderness that surrounded Juniper Wall. A couple of villagers were milling about outside, chatting with each other and laughing.
Elari peered closer to the fountain, spotting an old plaque. Before she could pick out what it read, something landed on her head. Something heavy.
"Pixie, get down, don't bother this poor person!" With a coo, the weight disappeared, and Elari turned around to see a green-scaled naga slithering closer. The edges of her scales were tinged gray, and there were heavy lines around her mouth and eyes. Bright orange eyes fell on Elari, the smile lines appearing.
"My apologies, dear. Pixie loves meeting new folks, don't you, my sweet girl?" She scratched the chin of one of the fluffiest brown and white spotted pigeons Elari had ever seen.
Elari rubbed the back of her neck. "It's alright, she didn't hurt me. I've uh...never seen a pigeon that looked like her before."
The naga laughed, tipping her head back and almost sending Pixie tumbling to the ground. "She's a different kind of gal, aren'tcha? A beauty, huh?"
Elari kept their mouth closed; they wouldn't call that fluffy thing beautiful, but that definitely seemed like one of those things you just didn't say. "I got her when I was traveling around. Hasn't left my side since then." A wistful look softened her face before she snapped back to Elari. "But I'm sure you didn't come here to listen to me rambling away; I don't think I've seen you around here." A casual interest crossed her expression, as she leaned in closer, and the light purple cloak she wore rustled. "Ashni.”
"Elari. I'm Elari."
Elari caught the spark of interest that lit up her eyes. "Is that so... You wouldn't happen to be Dura's child, would you?" Ashni asked.
"I got a letter from her,” she said, “asking if I could come down to visit her.” The words died on their tongue.
Ashni sighed, placing a hand on her cheek. "My apologies that your reason to visit Juniper Wall wasn't a more positive one. Dura was a good soul." Again, that wistful look.
Hope made Elari glance up. "Did you know her that well?"
Ashni seemed to wrestle with something, her eyebrows contorting. "In a way, yes," she replied. "Dura and I were close, although the time we spent together wasn't long."
"Then, do you know why she—what I mean is, why was Juniper Wall her choice?" It came out of their mouth in a rush, desperate to finally get some answers. "She just left without saying anything. I didn't really hear from her a lot." With a sudden flush of embarrassment, they bit down the rest of their words. Were they really just unloading everything on this random stranger? A couple villagers had stopped to listen to the conversation that grew louder and louder. Elari ducked her head, wishing she had her cloak to pull the hood up.
But Ashni just smiled at them, with gentle and soft eyes that made Elari's throat tighten. "How about this. I don't want to make this a public thing,” the naga said slowly, “but I also don't want to avoid your questions. I have to go do some chores around my coffee shop, why don't you come with me, and I'll answer some of your questions?”
At Elari’s pinched expression, she added, “It's closed right now, so you won't need to worry about everyone gossiping." They're good folk, but you know how the rumor mill can start. Seem fair?" Pixie cooed, copying Ashni’s head tilt.
Elari hesitated. It was one thing to agree to meet up with a random stranger and potentially room with them (they had this whole process in mind right before the storm happened, steps they could take in case Anise turned out to be someone they couldn't trust), it was another to go into a shop with a stranger and help them with a store closed. But they still had their dagger in their pocket, and worst came to worst, they felt the warmth of their magic curling at their fingertips.
Ashni tried to continue the conversation as they traipsed back to her shop, but Elari struggled to pay attention and give more than one-word answers. Her head was on a constant swivel, as she soaked in Juniper Wall.
What she first thought of the place turned out to be incorrect. Creeping vines sun themselves as they cling to the houses, and with old and creaking porches with all shades of the rainbow, Elari felt a little pang in the back of her throat; they all looked well-worn. She assumed that neighbors would come by with trays of food when you were sick, saying that they accidentally made extra food, but everyone would know that it hadn't been an accident.
In the city, there wasn't really a chance to meet your neighbors; especially being so close to the Adventurers' Guild, there was such a constant stream of people coming and going, you learned to not get too close to folks, since they'd probably be gone the next day. Folks were awfully bad at keeping in touch.
"Here we are," Ashni said, opening the door. A sign proclaimed See is for Coffee, with the name forming from the steam of a purple coffee cup below it. A singular and bright orange eye embossed on the purple cup seemed to follow them as they entered.  Something about the name sparked a thought in Elari’s mind, but it disappeared before she could grab ahold of it.
It was a small place. Wooden circular tables and chairs with mismatched pillows dominated most of the space. A small counter sat next to an even smaller display case. The handwritten signs of what pastries they had toppled over and the trays were still crumb-flecked.
As soon as Ashni followed Elari's eyes to the trays, the grin disappeared. "I told him to-" She messaged her forehead, squeezing her eyes, before the glower vanished as she clapped her hands. "Alright, so after I clean the trays, we can chat."
"I can help," Elari offered, tying her hair up, "I work at the tavern; I'm used to this kind of stuff."
Even though she got the feeling that the folks here just did stuff for each other for the sake of it, Ashni lit up, beaming down at her. "I won't say no to that. Pixie, go relax." She pointed to a rather beaten wooden box in the corner with a small hole in it.
"An utter nuisance," Ashni commented with affection once the pigeon had settled, before leading Elari into the kitchen with the trays. The kitchen had low-hanging cupboards, easy for Ashni to reach, with a potted ivy curling happily around the top of the cupboards.
As Elari helped her wash the trays, she hesitated. All that excitement from learning someone who knew her mother now lay curdled in her mouth.
Thankfully, Ashni seemed to pick up on her tumultuous thoughts and began, "So. Your mother." It felt like she was back in school, watching an old professor start a lecture they were particularly excited about.
They turned to look at her expectantly, nodding. "How did you know her?"
"How much do you know about your mother's adventures?"
Elari shrugged. "Not much," she said, staring off into space, "My dad always stopped her before she could finish any of her stories." Ashni snorted but merely gestured for her to continue. It felt like Elari was missing out on a joke. "Mom didn't want to give out too much information about her other companions." They paused. "Something about pissing off a lich and wanting to protect their identities when the party disbanded."
A thought occurred to her, and she glanced at Ashni, her eyes narrowing. "I do remember her mentioning a seer they needed to rescue-"
"To find Azdok, yes." Ashni stared at the tray she was drying, her mouth pinching. "I didn't know that I was sending them there—" She shook her head, hissing. "That's beside the point."
Turning to Elari, she forced a chuckle. "But yes, I am that seer that helped them find the same lich."
For a couple moments, Elari stared at her. This was the all-powerful seer her mother gushed about? There was a mythological being in her head that she had conjured from listening to all the stories; how this seer could wield magic that sang in the air as she snipped and resewed time and reality back together, how everyone from across the entire land came to see her with problems that seemingly no one could decipher.
"How'd you get to Juniper Wall?"
Ashni's eyes widened, but before Elari could take her words back, the naga let out a howl of a laugh, her tail curling. "Out of all the questions, that's the one you're curious about?" Her tongue flicked out, eyes squinting.
Flushing, Elari handed the tray to her roughly. "My mom couldn't stop talking about you. Why're you here?" They gestured at the shop, eyebrows furrowing. "You can reshape time and space, and you're at a coffee shop?"
"Is that so bad?" Her pitying look hurt more than if she had yelled. “I’m happy here.” She stared out through the serving hatch, her eyes unfocused. “I think it was the same for Dura.”
Ashni rubbed the back of her neck, hissing again and snapping her eyes at Elari. "Your mother, after she came back from the mission, disappeared. I hadn’t heard anything from her for a long time. And then, out of the blue, I get a letter from her.” Her smile was so soft that it made Elari glance down, embarrassed to have even had the audacity to look.
“She said that she needed to talk to someone who was with everyone.” Her expression soured, and she gripped the tray. “I don’t think she ever got over losing Duster, let alone when—” She froze. Face contorting, she grabbed her neck. Gurgling noises escaped her mouth.
As Elari dropped the tray, shattering it, wings beat through the air, and Pixie shoved her way through the door. The pigeon grunted low in her throat, settling near Ashni while she gasped. Elari lunged at the naga, her eyes burning sun-hot as she called upon her magic. A wisp of invisible to the normal eye, black smoke curled from Ashni's mouth to her lungs, where it squeezed. "Ashni?"
The naga waved her away, bending over to cough, as she heaved for air. "It's fine, I'm fine," she wheezed, her expression still pinched. Elari hovered around her, the magic disappearing.
When she recovered, Ashni stood straighter, eyes narrowed, hissing with every deep breath. She let Pixie settle on her shoulder, the pigeon nibbling at her neck, still grunting. She took the cup of water Elari offered her with a quiet 'thank-you'.
"I'm alright," she began, voice scratchy, "just a side effect; your mother was serious about keeping her party members' names a secret."
Elari sat on a stool, gripping the edges with her fingers. "The fight against Azdok was that serious, huh?" Names were important to anyone, but to a lich who had lost theirs in their rebirth, it was disgusting to let someone who still clung to their name let live after they had the audacity to invade a lich’s lair.
Ashni stared at the cup, tracing the rim with her finger. In the afternoon sun, she looked much older, the rays tracing every ridge and valley on her lined face. Finally, she met Elari's eyes. "Yes." After a beat, she added, "I think that's why she decided to stay here. She wasn't able to"—she paused, choosing her words carefully—"keep in touch with any of the others. The other two vanished. But she found me."
With a shake of their head, Elari hugged themself. "Look, I don't want to diminish your relationship—" She ground her teeth, squeezing herself harder. Why was it hard to say anything? "My mom loved the adventure, before she headed off to go take down Azdok, she would always have this starry look in her eyes when she told me all her adventures. She wouldn't just settle down here." Elari gestured nebulously outside the window.
"What's so bad about here?"
"Well, it's y'know..." Trying to avoid looking at Ashni's cocked eyebrow, Elari finished, "Quiet."
A simple "hm" came from the naga. After what felt like a century, she set the cup down and went about cleaning up the broken tray from the ground. It was like Elari had failed a test. She stayed silent while she helped Ashni clean.
“I don’t want to force you to do something you don’t want to,” Ashni began after they cleaned up the shattered pieces.
“I’m sensing a but.”
“But, I want you to give this place a chance.” She turned to face Elari, gesturing around out the window as she said, “There was something about Juniper Wall your mother enjoyed. In part, because she may well have been lonely and wanted someone who knew what she went through.”
She slithered closer and placed a hand on Elari’s shoulder. Standing at her full height, they had to raise their head to look Ashni in the eyes. “I’m tasked with beautifying the town’s community garden. I’d be more than happy to show you around, point out your mother’s favorite spots. If you help me.”
Elari kept quiet, tipping her head to the side. The idea of sitting around until Anise woke up just twiddling their thumbs sounded exhausting. At least she’d be able to do something.  Hells to it. There wasn’t anything they could do about it, might as well accept.
Ashni’s face lit up, her crow’s feet crinkling. “Wonderful,” she cried, startling Pixie when she clapped her hands, “I think we can start right now.”
“Wait, like, right now, right now?”
Shaking a finger at Elari, Ashni said, “Well, we haven’t got all day. Besides, you’re here. Might as well get it started. Why don’t you follow me; I won’t be opening up the shop today, it’s Laundry Day.”
Without wanting to open a potential can of worms as to why it sounded like it was capitalized (do all small villages have these weird holidays?), Elari trailed after the naga. The weird invisible smoke didn’t seem to have left any physical marks, but Ashni winced every now and then as she called out greeting after greeting when they stepped outside. Other than curious looks, none of the townsfolk stopped to chat with Elari.
Ashni stretched her arms out, once she came to a stop. “Here we are. This is where everyone grows everything and anything; we all have our plots of land.” She fondly patted the worn and warm russet brown fence surrounding the garden. “I’m in charge of making sure the spots outside of the garden look good too.”
After a beat: “Do you know anything about gardening?”
Elari waggled her hand up and down with a bit of a grimace. “Honestly, my dad’s more of the green thumb in our family. I get by fine.”
Out of seemingly nowhere, Ashni pulled out and handed them a couple seed packets. “It took me a while, but I was able to find these. What a coincidence that you decided to show up the day after I got them.”
Almost numbly, Elari glanced up at the older woman. “These are my mom’s.” Written in a familiar cursive scrawl that was so used to cramming a paragraph of information in a postscript were simple labels of “hyacinths” and "peonies.”.
“She was fond of the community garden,” Ashni replied, her tone sad. “This month was hers to be the caretaker.”
Her throat thick with sudden emotion, Elari rubbed the back of her hand against her mouth. To just do something. “I’m not good with these kinds of plants.” They quickly continued after seeing the naga’s face fall, “But I’ll try my best.”
And although Ashni swore up and down that there was no pressure to make the best garden anyone had seen, a tautness grew in Elari’s chest. It was one thing to listen to stories of her mother living in Juniper Wall, another to hold onto something her mother looked forward to using in the future, something she never got to see.
Elari rubbed the edges of the seed packages between her fingers, before turning to Ashni. “Do you have a shovel?”
The sun scorched Elari’s bare arms as they dug, their sweat slicking their grasp. Confusion and sadness clawed at her throat, unaware as she was of whether her eyes stung from sweat or tears. But it was good to move, it felt right to dig, to work.
Even if Ashni had to stop them from digging too much.

Heres the picrew I used because I have no artistic skill (it was lovely to use. It's from @crowesn (that should be the correct blog. I hope))

WHG 20 - Training (side story)
whg tag list: @concealeddarkness13 @ratracechronicler @pen-of-roses @grailfish @forthesanityofsome @pied-piper-of-hamlet
Hands gripped my arms, dragging me out of bed in the middle of the night. My eyes flew open and I thrashed in the dark and tried to scream but another hand clapped over my mouth. White peacekeeper uniforms stood out in the dark bedroom, lit by the glow seeping in through the open window. They dragged me backwards out of the room despite my struggles.
They held on to me, one on each arm as the elevator door closed, but let go of my mouth. I swallowed, but held my tongue. I’d seen what they did to those who mouthed off to peacekeepers before. It never ended well. The elevator reached the main floor and they walked me out and into a car, sitting me in the middle with a peacekeeper on either side. My chest tightened as the tower disappeared behind me second by second. I craned my neck to try and look out the window, try and figure out where they were taking me but quickly shrunk back when one of the peacekeepers shot me a glare.
The car stopped and they pulled me out of the car and into a plain, warehouse like building into another elevator. The lights buzzed as it went down, down, and down deep into the ground. It opened up to a brightly lit hall, a lab by the looks of it and the lab coat worn by the a frowning man waiting in front of the elevator door.
“You seem to be a better candidate than Ares Machina to be the vessel.” The man in the lab coat spoke cold, eying me like a new tool. “So you will become the vessel of the god of this world. And you will rejoice in giving up your soul to do so.”
Oh no. My blood chilled and I stiffened. “Who are you?” How did they know about me? They must have found out after they’d determined what happened with Ares.
The scientist straightened his back, puffing his chest out proud. “I’m Elari, the lead scientist devoted to bringing Primary back.”
“Why?” I swallowed again. “Why bring them back?” Why bring back something like this back?
“They are the god of this world, and inferior beings have dared to create life apart from their perfect plan.” Elari spoke matter of fact, as if discussion something straightforward, something that didn’t involve possession and torment. “We must bring this world back to their plan.”
I shook my head, tugging against the peacekeeper’s grip to no avail. “I’m not going to let them take over me. Let me go.” They could try. I’d bested them before. I could do it again. I could do it again.
“Let’s see if they’ll get you to change your mind. Or they could even destroy the half soul you have.” He snapped his fingers and turned on his heel, leading the peacekeepers behind him.
They dragged me down the hallway and Elari opened a door for them. Ancient magic vibrated through the air, emanating from a corpse, lying perfectly preserved and still in the center of the room. My heart skipped and I dug in my heels, but it didn’t do much to slow the peacekeepers hauling me across the smooth polished floor. Nothing moved about the corpse, hair still even in the slight breeze from the open door, a cut fresh as the day it was made glistening on their cheek and a single drop suspended in the air.
My skin prickled with unfamiliar power, sharp and pushing against me. They knew I was here. They were stronger here than in Ares, just a fragment inside of her but everything inside of the corpse here. Like smoke it pressed against me, testing my resolve already, curious and pushy and…
Lonely. Hollow where it found me.
The same booming voice echoed in my head. You are to be my new vessel? And what makes you a worthy candidate?
I shook my head. “No, thank you. I’m not a worthy candidate, sorry.” I watched the corpse but it stayed put, still, trapping the Primary within.
Hmm… Pressure pushed against my chest as it pressed harder. It seems you don’t have a full soul. Does that idiot scientist think that I can even destroy half a soul? I can’t destroy directly what my blood created.
I nodded along, taking a deep breath and steeling myself against their push, against the ache in my chest, against the growing urge to yell, to scream, to cry, to beg for something, anything, that built wherever they tested me. They didn’t seem to hold Elari in very high regard. “What do you mean by that?” Did they want this? Did they know what was happening? I softened my voice. “And what should I call you, do you have a name?” Or had they decided to call them Primary without asking?
My name is Primary. I created everything, and therefore cannot directly destroy anything. But in creating everything, I became too unstable and would have destroyed everything in my death if I hadn’t imprisoned myself and put myself in stasis. But I have been conscious these thousands of years, and I don’t care what price I have to pay to restore my body and live again.
They drew back slightly as they spoke, echoing in my head, but kept tendrils of themself wrapped around my arms, coiled light around my stomach. My legs shook, and I let the peacekeepers holding me take on more of my weight. They must have cared, must have cared once. Why subject themselves to eons of suffering to protect what they created if they didn’t?
I took another breath, long and slow, as pressure built behind my eyes, as the ache grew, as it gnawed at my gut, at my lungs, at my heart. “That must have been hard to bear all those years.” Alone, and waiting, waiting, waiting for what? Not knowing if it will ever end.
They pushed harder, rage adding to the ache and the emptiness and pain. You can’t imagine the agony. So be a good little dear and give up your soul for me.
I stiffened, bracing myself against their attempts to get in, to push past and under my skin. “If you give me time I,” I gasped, fighting to keep my breath even as my lungs burned and heart skipped. “I can try to help you. To let you go without taking me with you!”
I can’t talk to the scientists, and they don’t know how to free me. And would you consciously be okay with destroying the whole world to let me out? No, of course not. So, give up your soul!
They pressed harder, harder, unrelenting. “No, but—”
They broke through, the muscle of my chest burning as they forced their way inside, through the muscle, through the lining of my chest and beside my heart.
“No!”
I hunched as far as I could in the peacekeeper’s grip, panting and bracing as Primary pushed and pushed, trying to twist their way into my arms, my legs, my bones but I held them with all I had. Held them trapped in the cage of my chest along side my beating heart and overworked lungs.
They pushed harder, harder, until they faded, drifted away like a receding wave. I can’t get… A tight enough grip. I need that girl back…
They drew back and I went limp in the peacekeeper’s arms, panting as sweat dripped down my forehead, down the back of my neck. “Leave the girl alone, please,” I gasped between words, trying too hard to speak and breath at the same time. “Wait just a little bit longer, Primary, I will try to make this right for you.”
It wasn’t fair, wasn’t fair for them to be stuck here with these scientists that only cared to help them bring destruction. That help hadn’t been sought for them, help that might have set them free without destroying everything they created. How long had they been kept here, unearthed and kept alone in this room?
Their voice came quieter, farther away. You’re a liar. I will have the girl despite anything you may try.
I shook my head, voice wavering as exhaustion pulled at my body. “Even if you try, even if you take her again, even if you torment her more, I will not leave you here to suffer.” Desperation, it was desperation that made them this way, and could I have done any better in their place? “Even if I die next week, I will make sure someone comes for you.”
I couldn’t let them stay here trapped inside a corpse. How dare Elari keep them here alone, suffering, desperate for something, anything, that would ease the loneliness, the pain. How dare he keep them here when there had to be a way to save them.
I forced my head up to meet the eyes of the long-static corpse. “You don’t have to believe me, Primary, but I am not a liar.” This was something I could do. This was something I could cling to, something I could fix instead of harm.
The peacekeepers dragged me out of the room to Elari, shaking his head disapprovingly. “What a shame. We’ll have to try the girl again.”
I glared, anger burning hot and tears streaming down my cheeks. The ache, the screaming and yelling barely contained in my chest from Primary, the urge to beg for anything, anything at all besides being trapped in stasis, the residual ache sent tears down my cheeks and burned in my eyes. How dare he stand here, indifferent to their pain? Their suffering? How dare he try and fail time and time again with a plan that would never work, a plan that no one really wanted. To send innocent after innocent to give Primary hope for just a moment only for it to be snatched away when it failed again and again?
I held my tongue because I needed to get back to the tower alive. I needed to get back to the tower with enough sense to find whatever I could that might help free this god.
Maybe I had to live. Maybe I couldn’t give up just yet. Ginger would take over for me if I did, but as they dragged me back into the car I seethed with every step. Even if Ginger could handle it in my stead, I wanted to see it done. I wanted to see them freed.

WHG 20 Prompt 1 - Ares
Content warning for blood. Tagging: @ratracechronicler, @maple-writes, @pen-of-roses, @drabbleitout, and @grailfish!
Elari glared at me as he dragged me back to my cell in the Capitol. I kept my teeth bared, staring straight ahead and not showing how much pain I was in. Even as blood dripped down my back and soaked into my clothes. It was the same as usual.
Elari was a bastard scientist who wanted to use me as a vessel for this ancient being he found under the earth, and he had tricked me and given me magic. He had said he was trying to help me, but he had given me the being’s magic so I’d be a better suited vessel.
He threw me in my cell, and I didn’t move, didn’t look at him. He scoffed. “You’re being so stubborn. If you’d just give in, you’d be treated so much better. You’d be able to just watch the Hunger Games comfortably, but instead, you’ll be in them.” He shook his head and slammed the cell door closed, muttering under his breath as he walked away.
I dragged myself up to the uncomfortable bench so I was at least not lying on the floor. A small meal had been shoved in the cell when I had been gone, but I was too nauseous to eat anything. I just closed my eyes and tried to sleep.
Ares, you have been perfectly crafted to be mine.
I tensed and opened my eyes. That grating voice. The being Elari was trying to destroy my soul to create a vessel for. He called them Primary. They looked like a perfectly preserved corpse when he showed them to me. They had figured out how to fucking talk to me.
I clenched my fists and growled. “I won’t destroy myself for a crusty shit like you.”
They laughed. I’ve been able to gain a foothold into your mind, my dear. How much longer do you think you have until I overtake you?
“You’ve been alive for how many years, and you’re really selfish enough to cut me short at twenty-two?”
My vision went dark, until a whole fucking universe opened up in my mind. I created your pathetic little planet and every other one, all the stars and the whole universe. Do you think I care about one little human’s life? I’m willing to destroy everything if it means I can escape this cage.
I laughed ruefully. “Then I’m just too fucking stubborn to give up my life just because a crusty shit tells me to. You’re not gonna get me to cooperate.”
I squeezed my eyes shut, and they kept talking to me, but I just tried to block them out. But once I finally did fall asleep, nightmares of Primary destroying me plagued my dreams.

A quick excerpt from heir of the eternal king! I was thinking that trying to share a quote every couple of days or so might help motivate me to keep writing, but who knows?
So, have a conversation between Lar and his brother Faris. Transcript below the cut!
taglist: (ask to be +/-) @angie-j-kay
“The airship will be docking at Elaris in a few hours,” he said, “We’ve opted against making your landing public because frankly, you look like shit.”
Lar couldn’t argue with that. He was caked in dirt and blood, his shirt torn from where the beast’s talon had slashed at him. It wasn’t exactly a regal look, “Sorry. I didn’t really have time to clean up, what with getting knocked out and kidnapped and all.”
His brother ignored him, “There will be a dinner tonight, where you’ll be reintroduced to the court and it is vital that you do not make a fool of yourself. Use your manners. Pretend you want to be there. If anyone asks where you’ve been for the past few years, try to make it sound like you haven’t been wasting your time.
“Has anyone gotten their face eaten by a monster lately?”
Faris blinked, “I’m sorry?”
“Or any beast attack, really. How many have there been?”
“Well, none–“
“Then clearly, I haven’t been wasting my time,” Lar said, “I was captain of the Eleventh Outpost, that has to count for something. Besides, you said only I could become the Emperor. How picky can these nobles be?”
“You’d be surprised,” Faris muttered.

In the 'Nef gets robotisied early and quits the Rangers' au, Elaris 100% knows he's not actually a robot made by the late Dr Nefarious.
I don't know if she figured it out really quickly or just saw him and instantly knew he was lying, but she knows.
Which means she gets to watch Nefarious barely holding this ruse together, whilst the other Rangers are like why did Nef make him this way?
Some of the Rangers are really suspicious of this asshole robot, and she's just waiting for Nef to blow his cover or for someone else to figure it out so she can drag them into the cupboard and gossip
