and next up we have Azar. Azar is a gang boss who Kristi and Heidi are in debt too. Kristi doesn't understand what being in debt to someone like Azar means. Azar will kill Heidi if Kristi doesn't do exactly what she's told.

So, sadly, I have a small writers block, and therefore, chapter 4 is going at very much a snail's pace. (And the more I think about some scenes in chapter 2 and 3, the more I want to scrap them completely, so there's that...)

I also have decided to have so many new art projects besides doing stuff for uni...

aND ANOTHER THING, it's not even a headcanon because he literally does it like twice in canon, but he's a really good thief / pickpocket. he never has reason to do that in the first place since chances are he could just buy anything he wants anyway. but should the situation arise, as it already has twice, he has no difficulty taking an item or two.

Have a snippet of Chapter 7

I talked with @innerchorus under this post about struggling with writing a dialouge for Azar... I just HATE how I made her talk in this fanon fighting scene against Hilmes (also not that happy with how Hilmes talks...)

Silver Mask stepped out of the doorway. He had reached another battlement and got closer and closer to where Prince Arslan enjoyed the cold night air. A shadow moving above him alerted him and he rolled out of the way. Not too early as Azar came crashing down on where he first stood. Her axe left a huge crack in the stone floor. “There you are… You really are somebody who is willing to go through a snake hole. Aren’t you claiming to be a king?”  The Silver Mask didn’t answer immediately, “And what is that supposed to mean? We are in Pars, speak proper Parsian - especially when talking to a king!” He lunged at her with his sword. She easily parried the blade whilst picking back up the axe. “I do not remember kings to be so cowardly by infiltrating behind enemy lines and to do the assassination themselves.” Azar was now standing in such a way that she was blocking Silver Masks way forward. “How impudent you speak… Maar really is a savage land.” Silver Mask readied himself for another attack.   “Says the one who helped bring the ruin of his supposed own kingdom. Tell me, was it fun to murder Eran Vahriz?” The air shifted after the words left her mouth. As Silver Mask lunged forward again Azar twisted away from his blade and swung her own at his head. He ducked and targeted her exposed hip but due to the rune still being in effect she just jumped over his blade.  She used her weight to kick at him. She struck Silver Mask in the side and he stumbled a few feet holding the spot. The fight came momentarily to a stand still. Azar noticed that the effect of the rune started to fade. She gritted her teeth behind her mask and rushed at the Silver Mask. He parried her sword and went for her neck.  At the last moment she blocked the blade but her skin got already nibbed. “Aren’t you supposed to be a great knight? What are you called… ‘The White General’?” Silver Mask scoffed. “I am not used to fighting with only one blade. What a wonderful way to be reminded to train again.”, Azar responded dryly. She pushed his blade out of the way but he managed to slash her left shoulder. He took the opportunity and left her behind, bleeding. Now the effect of the rune wore off completely and Azar lowered her sword. She took a little cloth of her cape to makeshift bandage herself up and gave herself a few seconds to catch her breath. Azar melted into the shadows and continued her pursuit of Silver Mask.

Any suggestions? (Azar is using a rune that boosts her strength)

Still glad about running into GW2!Deborah, but it seems ... extremely on-brand that she's like, I wish people in Divinity's Reach would get over their ancient enmities and see the value of working together with everyone against the dragons, we have to look to the future, those people back home who are still mad about the Charr don't get the importance of moving forward.

Meanwhile, the Charr on that same mission are like "hey, we get to invade Orr at last without getting immolated this time! Awesome! We've been waiting forever for this!"

And they're otherwise sympathetic good guys. Like, it's genuinely kind of baffling to me that reasonable and sympathetic human characters have to be "we need to move on, we suffered countless casualties and atrocities but that's in the past..." while reasonable and sympathetic Charr characters are "conquest and empire, yippee!"

The Charr have zero basis for invading Orr except as part of the Pact's effort to liberate it and the brutality of the invasion of Ascalon is part of what panicked the Orrians in the first place and the 100% unjustified invasion of Orr led to the Orrian vizier obliterating everyone, only for them to be raised by Zhaitan later and forced into ceaseless undead servitude and made a threat to the entire world. And none of the Nice Charr of the core storyline (even my beloved Tybalt, RIP) are ever like "hmm, maybe the war crimes were a bad idea." It's just "how funny that humans keep wiping themselves off the face of the earth rather than be slaughtered or enslaved en masse by us. What a weird people."
