When they tangled with Vecna, Eddie’s body gets left behind. Sure, yes, they all know the timeline, the logistics, how the story goes. The gates seal. Supergirl goes nuclear. They kinda-half-lose. The town’s a fucking mess. They gotta lick their wounds.

But the in-between bits get hazy, see.

Specifically when Steve went AWOL and ran back, jumped through the closing gate he’d just barely managed to climb up through in the first place, given the extent of his wounds, and runs for the body they abandoned because he doesn’t leave his people behind.

And somehow in just a couple days, Eddie counted as his people. Even just his body.

The strength, the speed, the stamina to not have been stuck in the Upside Down, to not have dropped the dead weight in the way back up, to not have got suctioned in and crushed in half as the fissures crept closed: that’s the fucking stuff of legends, of parents lifting trucks off pinned children. No wonder they call Steve the mom.

But yeah. Eddie’s body’s left behind.

For like…ten minutes, max.

Then Steve fucking Harrington had to be all Steve fucking Harrington about it, say fuck that, and weigh the risk of two dead bodies as sufficient collateral to leap like it was a fucking two-for-one at Melvald’s.

Bastard made it back, too. Bloody as fuck, everything that’d healed even a little bit torn at least twice as wide in breaking back open; three extra broken bones, with at least on being a rib that there’s genuine concern over puncturing a lung with one more wrong move—and a likely one, given the evidence thus far.

And also, there’s Eddie.

Eddie, who’s breathing, who they don’t know until later whether Steve managed to somehow resuscitate, or if the powers that govern the hellscape zapped him back for nefarious reasons, or maybe they’d all just…fucked up and missed that Eddie wasn’t even all-dead in the first place.

Details, remember. The in-between parts got real hazy.

Eddie knew the truth form the get-go, though.

Having to witness Henderson fall apart, draped across him was maybe the most harrowing thing eddie has ever had to live through—but the point was, he did live through it. Everything was foggy, and he felt like his world was blinking too long in between knowing it was still there, like reality and his place in it were too close to sleep to be rooted, to be trusted, to be sure at all that it would last and that his shitty attempts to get any air in weren’t just painful acts of desperation to delay the inevitable.

But then there had been lips on his lips, and he’d tasted his own blood there but then more blood, other blood.

And his lungs were blissfully full for the first time in what felt like eons.

He wants to turn to find out who’s there, whose mouth had just spared him in his torment for even a few extra moments before the end, but he—

He can’t fucking move. He hadn’t realized that part before—oxygen deprivation, hell of a distraction apparently—but now that he clocks it?

That lungful of air’s gasping out fast as fuck as eddie panic because what’s happening what is happening—

What’s happening is that mouth on his again, giving him back the breath he’s foolishly wasting on panic, coupled with a too-broad hand, palm braced at his chest and fingers curled up his shoulder: firm. Steadying.

“Poison,” a voice says low, close to him enough that eddie thinks he maybe feel warmth from it but he’s not sure, he’s not sure what he does and does not feel and that’s most of the fucking terror: “in the venom. My legs were numb as fuck after, the went too deep at the core and it just fanned out, couldn’t feel a fucking thing but the pain til we got supplies.”

The hand moves fuller to his chest like it’s testing something, then the lips are back, filling up his lungs, like someone who knows how this works, who’s done it before—

A lifeguard would know. Would have done it before and…

Okay, like, Eddie didn’t spend most of every summer the past handful of years in a carefully disguised little copse of shadey trees near enough to keep the community pool in his sights because he was planning to get in the water, y’know?

“But then it felt like there wasn’t enough air when I tried to breathe deep, way worse than my legs, like from,” and he touches Eddie’s neck, then, where the bats barely got him by comparison to…other places so Eddie thinks—with the newly-restored moments of oxygen to his brain cells—Steve’s talking about his suspicious noose-shaped souvenir.

Eddie wants to be able to see, wants to see and know with all his sense that this is steve: touching him and coming back for him and saving him and—

“You’re still breathing,” and shit, it’s like Eddie’s prayers are answered without a god believed in, his fucking lucky day, because Steve’s leaning and holding still so the his cheek under Eddie’s nose, and the bow of his lips just at the corner of Eddie’s mouth, gasping out his assessment when the hint of damp the exhale gathers on his skin, all with a kind of relief that feels…too big, really. Like Eddie can’t possibly deserve that. They barely know each other.

But fuck if Eddie—who was very much banking of giving up the goddamn ghost down here just a couple minute prior, especially once everyone had left and he was just staring at the red lightning waiting to be struck down for good—but fuck if Eddie is gonna pretend he doesn’t want to deserve that care and relief, to merit and earn it for himself, specifically from Steve, especially the Steve he’s gotten to know in the last seventy-two hours. All the shit about crisis revealing a persons true nature?

Sign Eddie the fuck up for a) all of Steve Harrington and his truest true nature as well as b) the sworn duty of keeping this far too tightly wound paladin barbarian crossbreed marvel of a specimen from any more crises, and ensuring the opposite instead, maybe like, holding him close. Kissing his neck. Falling asleep in each other’s arms. More…stuff like that.

Time probably moves faster the vacuum of real actual Armageddon, so. He probably can shrug off the ‘barely know each other’ stuff.

His heart’s doing a little floppy-floppy thing with Steve’s mouth still so close; with knowing Steve’s mouth had been closer, so. Yeah. He’s sold, 100% on board. Bring him the dotted line, he’ll be Mrs. Harrington by morning.

Or…evening? It’s just fucking dark here, he doesn’t even remember what day it is.

“Too much,” and Steve’s not moving form where he’s gauging—presumably—Eddie’s breaths at the source, whispering and so, so close as he waggles his hand around; “before, but,” and Eddie gets it quick: too much commotion. To much hysteria, and more than merited, but Dustin’s sobbing? Robin’s shaking, Nancy’s armor-grip on her gun making trying to measure a pulse less than worthless and Steve…Steve has getting them the fuck out before the gates closed, Eddie remembers hearing that—which begs the question of why he’s here again bow, but one thing at a time.

The one thing Eddie wants to focus on is Steve thought to come back at all, and thought it not inpossible to find him alive and not-yet-but-still-eventually-capable-of-kicking, because the bats had numbed him to fuck, too.

And he hadn’t told anyone, Jesus fuck—this man, and giving more shirts about him already than Eddie’s maybe given for anyone, is gonna be what actually manages to put him six feet in the goddamn ground.

“I had a feeling,” Steve says, and Eddie doesn’t have to try and fail to turn to see the triumphant smirk he’s pulling, still relieved but like, vindicated now, too.

“And even if I didn’t,” he sobers quick; “I wasn’t leaving you here.” And Eddie wouldn’t stilled if he was capable of moving in the first place because…yeah, he’s basically figured he was being left here. Was pretty much solidly on his way to making his peace with it too when feet landed close to his knees and lips closed over his own and the rest is…

Is now. Where Steve Harrington doesn’t leave Eddie Munson, even as the world ends in their fucking faces and all proves to be as good as lost.

He won’t settle for them counting among the loses and that’s…

That’s just kinda…wow.

“Was really banking pretty hard on that feeling, too,” and Eddie hears Steve’s voice strain a little, even as there comes a little tiny huff of slightly manic laughter, and a rip of fabric from fuck knows where. “Want to get to know you better, Munson,” he says, tight like he’s holding up tensions, or swallowing back pain and Eddie doesn’t like that, and likes even less that he can do fuck all about it right now.

But if they’re gonna be in the business of getting to know each other better, then Eddie’s filing that sound away in the ‘keep that shit away from Steve forever’ file.

Eddie likes dealing with forevers in his head, because they so rarely work out for him in life. He craves disappointment, maybe; but.

“Walking through the woods, half-fucking paralyzed was some of the,” Steve starts, honest and earnest before Eddie catches half-a-shrug out the corner of his eye and…maybe he’s not the only one who deals in forevers in their head, and if he’s suddenly not the only one, maybe less disappointing could possibly be imminent.

Maybe.

Eddie wants desperately to laugh, to bump shoulders with Steve again like he did a little, tries for more when they were walking side by side, he wants so fucking bad—

Then there’s fire in his fucking throat.

“Oh, fuck,” Steve sounds more startled than concerned, where Eddie’s kinda afraid his neck is melting into lava or some shit; “yeah, yeah, baby,” and hold the fuck up, what did Steve just say, what did Steve just call him? Our of nowhere?

The lava feeling’s way less important; in fact, takes enough of a back step to make some sense with Steve’s neck words, with his hand back in Eddie’s chest to brace his shoulder:

“You’re coming back, just keep,” he’d tries to laugh, and the sound had gotten lost on Eddie in the agony but it hadn’t been lost in Steve, his baby, holy fucking shit—

“Oh.”

Steve’s tone is something entirely new; awed a little, floored a little, not bad, so that’s a plus, but…overwhelmed like at the edges but then fucking ecstatic in the middle, which down here shouldn’t even be possible, until his hand pressed a little harder into Eddie’s ribs on the less mangled side and—

“Strong enough to feel, now, even when I still can’t feel everything,” Steve’s face swims, gorgeous and kinda like an answer to the universe in the minimal view space Eddie has to work with as he slowly crawls back online, a process not actually being helped by Eddie putting together what’s causing Steve’s reaction—the way his heart’s pumping’s growing a little undeniable even on his own end, and Steve’s hand feeling the raw effects of Steve on Eddie’s body right now isn’t helping matters at-fucking-all, but also Eddie never wants that touch to leave him ever fucking again, ever.

It’s a delicate sort of contradiction.

“Shit, yeah,” and Steve’s laughing, and it’s a soft joy-tinged thing less than the manic hysteria thus far.

Eddie’s fucking toast, man. No hope for him now.

“Strong enough even if I’m kinda fucking shaking,” Steve holds out his hand that, yeah, is in fact a little trembly but hey.

Eddie can’t feel shit yet too good, but he’s almost certain he’s got to be no better. Blood in his veins certainly ain’t winning any awards for steadiness.

And Steve leans down, this time back with another one of those vaguely hysterical laughs and Eddie can’t see everything outside of the angle his head’s held at just now, and the whole problem really starts with how he can’t feel a lot of shit á la bat venom, but.

If Eddie had any money, he’d actually wager that Steve fucking Harrington. Just touched his lips to Eddie’s neck, just kissed where his pulse would kick between his collarbones. And, true or not, the possibility of that?

Holy fucking shit.

“I hope these aren’t too tight,” Eddie sees the motion from Steve’s shoulder, feels…or thinks he feels the lightest ghost of pressure at his fucked up side: tight. The tearing from before; Steve had been wrapping his sorry ass up.

Talk about Eddie’s goddamn knight in shining armor, Jesus fuck.

“Pretty sure it came down to the fact that their poison hit me like it did because of where they got me the worse, and that’s what made me hope in the first place, you know. Your worst bleeders are in the meat,” and yeah, Eddie really does think that’s real sensation for the soft press of Steve’s hand at his flank, not say nothing of the burning flush to his cheeks, blood’s moving just fine there.

“Fucking deep but not so close to the bloodstream, to pump around and make it worse,” and he touches Eddie’s neck again, and ah: that was why Steve had the reaction he did, mainline to the ticker to get it all swum around. “More of it in you, obviously, because there were more of them, more teeth, but not up here,” and fuck Steve Harrington for the way his hand brushes Eddie’s neck almost tender-like, just…fuck him; “no a direct fucking line to the source.”

Yes. Fuck him. Preferably soon and with Eddie at full sensation and on a horizontal surface that’s not bloodsoaked and vaguely reeking of rot.

Just, y’know. If anyone’s taking note of preferences.

“Thank god for it,” Steve breathes out, the air fluttering over Eddie’s face and he can feel it and he wants to cry, he wants to jump up and dance; can’t do that year but his pulse makes a damn good attempt.

“But yeah, anyway, just walking through hell with you was,” Steve shifts back to the part where he’d seemed to be extolling the virtues of apocalyptic flirting, but before Eddie can file it away to do so much better in whatever’s to come? Steve’s slotting his fingers between Eddie’s own; he can’t feel the whole of it, but he damn well feels enough to know the way they fit is perfect, like they were cut form the same clay millennia ago.

Of course Eddie’s heart goes flippy-floppy again; it fucking has to.

“Not the part about Nance so much, though.”

And Eddie thinks he frowns because…oh.

Oh right, yeah, he really hasn’t had a glimmer of hope in hell that what kinda feels like is happening right now was even on the goddamn table, so…maybe he had tried to funnel his sense of pure and unadulterated loss into at east giving the boy he wanted, what < i >that boy wanted.

Whoops.

Won’t be making that mistake ever again, though, at least. Lesson learned, loud and clear.

“That’s been and gone, man,” steve sighs, a if Eddie needs more convincing. “And I don’t want to go back to where I left it. I want to love someone, who loves me.”

It feels heavy and vulnerable, but all Eddie wants to do is shot me, it can be me, let me have the adventure of learning how to love every bit of you better than you ever thought to even hope after pretty fucking please with a goddamn cherry on top—

“So she’s,” Steve huffs, definitive-like: “out of the picture. She could maybe learn to be that, but, and Steve moves, the most intentionally he’s done it so far to look Eddie straight in the eye when he wraps up the point:

“I’m not interested enough to wait.”

Which means it’s no fucking coincidence, that eye-contact, and Eddie’s ping-ponging pulse for it is 100% prevent valid and then some.

“And I know can’t talk right now, so I get this isn’t really,” Steve sucks his teeth in a genuinely unbearably adorable way; “fair, or probably even like, wholly ethical,” and Eddie’s only been around for days but that sounds like Robin right there, and the feeling of a dangerous pull near his cheek makes him think the urge to smile wasn’t wholly ignored by his beat to shit body, fucking progress.

“So think of it just like a,” he hums, then snaps his fingers as he lands on: “suggestion! A suggestion. Like me, just, putting it out there, which I usually do before anyone feels the same way anyway so this is just like, variation on the theme, but,” and Steve’s eyes are so big, Eddie’s never seen them looks this way before while Steve tips his whole face so Eddie can watch before he can sit up or turn his neck, must be fucking painful but he doesn’t even flinch, and Eddie’s only ever just kinda fallen for the puppy droop of those gorgeous eyes. Now they’re all, big and wide and bright and breathless and holy shit, Eddie’s really is just so screwedbest thing ever.

“I want to take you to dinner, a movie.”

Okay, hold up. That idea, said out loud and meant and directed to him: that might be the best thing ever.

“Maybe a drive in so no one will see if you let me hold your hand, or put my arm around you, or start necking with you halfway through,” like that isn’t making Eddie wonder if he just can’t feel the hard on every piece of him is very convinced he has to have right now, if his body can actually pony up just yet.

“If you want, of course. We could go slow,” and it’s like Steve’s thought about it, like this isn’t just adrenaline and near-death and zero impulse control. It’s most like he…like he actually wants. “Just a movie, even like at my house. Or yours. After they,” Steve clears his throat, the only part he’s even hinted awkwardness in; “after they take care of that.”

Ah. Right. Eddie probably does now have a trailer anymore.

Weird how little he’s caring about that at the moment.

“I could cook, I’m not bad at it,” Steve’s ploughing in with secret knowledge because: Harrington. Apron. Sauce on his cheek. KO-fucking punch to the heart, no survivors.

“Takeout’s fine too, I’d get whatever you wanted,” he pivots before trialing of, chewing his bottom lip then saying a little softer:

“But I would look up recipes too, practice to learn your favorite foods.”

And maybe Eddie really was never supposed to survive the Upside Down. He just maybe completely misinterpreted the way he was gonna fuckin’ die .

“I’d kiss you at the door if that’s okay, if that’s not to far,” then Steve’s bit-sparkle eyes darken even in the hell-dim around them; “or take you to bed if you wanted, but only as much as you were sure.”

And y’known how Eddie’s heat’s been flippy-flopping?

What it starts doing then leave that schoolgirl shit to dhame.

“I want to date you, basically,” and Steve’s shoulders are all squared up, like he’s making a pitch that has any chance of failing, and Eddie does have some working knowing of the past failures…thing, but he genuinely believes those fuckers have been at least partially brain dead to leave a man like this free for the taking, by Eddie of all fucking people.

“I want to try, and see if we can be something,” and the way he says those words, it’s…it’s like a soft perfect flame in Eddie’s chest, the first thing he thinks he can feel again fucking perfectly right,

“‘Cause fuck Eddie, I’ve been looking for something for what feels like forever, and the only thing I keep coming back to for any of it is thinking about you, and ain’t that a plot twist, the deepening of the idea that any of this stretched last what started in that fucking boathouse. “Had a whole-ass sexual awakening over you when you started shepherding my kids, can’t let that go to waste, man.”

And holy shit, dude. Eddie can’t leave him hanging on that confession no matter how mostly-carefree his smile stretches. Because Steve’s been in it since last fall?

Well, Eddie’s not one to easily be outdone.

“What?” Steve squints at Eddie’s face which…okay. He probably looks absurd but he’s trying really hard here, and miming isn’t easy when your muscles don’t want to get on board, yeah?

“Are you,” Steve scrunches his nose; tips his head; considers; “are you trying to,” he frowns, like he’s ready to dismiss what he’s guessing but then says fuck it and leaps:

“Are you trying to whistle?”

Yes, oh my god, sign him up for his marriage license for real, they’re meant to fucking be.

It takes Steve a second to make sense of the absurdity, and the fact that it’s only a second is a feat in itself:

“When I was a lifeguard?”

Eddie watches the timeframe, the length of admittedly varying types and depths but always constant infatuation, start to sink in and then:

“Jesus, Munson, for real?”

And lips are coming for his lips, and he’s real hopeful he can feel them this time but: no. Not yet.

But they fill his lungs up quick and full where he’s getting better which breathing by the minute, but. Any but if a boost is appreciated.

Especially from those lips, felt fully yet or not.

“That’s just because I’m gonna lift you up here in a second to crry you, and it’s gonna hurt like fuck no matter how gentle I try to be,” Steve warns him; “so breathe as slow as you can until I can lay you back down topside.”

Right. Right, because…the Upside Down was breaking apart and they’ve been here how long, fuck, they need to get a mov on…probably.

But Steve doesn’t seem concerned about anything but getting his arms around Eddie to pick him up just right, and then staring at him all star-bright bbsome more, and that’s…way more pressing, to be honest.

“But when we get there,” Steve glances behind him; “how about we look into doing that in a way that’s more spit-swapping, less rescue breathing, that cool?”

And holy fucking shit, Eddie genuinely believes right now that he could fall in love with this motherfucker, what the actual hell.

That, and he thinks he’s gonna enjoy it, to boot.

Jesus H. Christ on a goddamn cracker—

He’s looking forward to it more than the air in his fucking lungs could even hope to rank.

Depth Perception

Varigo brain blerp

Hugo needed to sleep so bad. The team had finished the Dark Kingdom trial and were rushing to Ingvarr thanks to Nuru's insistence that they didn't have time to waste. The blond was in no hurry to return to his home kingdom, knowing what awaited him and his friends after the next trial. Beyond all odds, in a cruel twist of fate, Hugo cared for his team. Yong was his little partner in crime, the two having spent most of their time with new experiments where nothing was too crazy for them to try. Nuru had become his closest frenemy, ever ready to argue with her, but the first to fight with anyone who doubted her genius. What could he say? The only one allowed to bully her was him. And then there was Varian...

The freckled little alchemist had gone from an annoying know-it-all to the kindest, strongest, truest friend Hugo was honored to know. And once the group reached Ingvarr and finished its trial, Hugo was going to lose all three of them. The stress of it was messing with his sleep. It also didn't help that Yong was joining him in his tent to slumber in the last few nights. He couldn't blame the kid for having nightmares though. The firecracker had a close brush with death at the last trial and if it weren't for Hugo's quick reflexes, their group would be a trio. Yong had the habit of moving a lot in his sleep, so Hugo would wake up to the kid accidentally smacking him, stealing his blanket, or kicking his back. He woke up in bed that night, looking over at Yong who cocooned himself in his blanket, lying upside down and diagonally, his legs resting on the blond's chest. Hugo moved Yong off him before sitting up. Yong didn't even stir in his sleep as his legs hit the floor with a thud. Exhausted, but less than willing to lay back down next to Yong anytime soon, Hugo left the tent for some fresh air. Exiting the tent, he looked up to see moon glowing brightly above him. The night breeze was cool and gentle against his skin.

"What are you doing up?"

The engineer nearly jumped, not expecting anyone else to be awake. He looked to his right and squinted, having left his glasses back in the tent.

"Varian?" he asked, recognizing his silhouette, dark hair, and blue hairstripe. The alchemist nodded, carrying some lab equipment in his arms.

"Who else?" Varian asked, pausing to chuckle at Hugo's messy appearance. "Well? What are you doing awake this late?"

"I could be asking you the same thing," Hugo responded, but already deduced that Varian had just finished some late night experiments. "....Yong's in my tent."

"Ahh, I see," Goggles sympathized, putting away the lab equipment. Varian himself had the fun experience of having Yong as a tent buddy before during the beginning of their journey. "Sorry."

"...there's nothing for you to apologize for." Hugo watched as Varian walked back toward him. He wished he had his glasses. He could barely make out the alchemist's face in the moonlight, and couldn't see what expression laid upon it.

"I don't know," Freckles softly spoke. "Maybe if I had been more careful...or kept a better eye on him...I could have kept him from danger and he wouldn't be having these nightmares. He's just a kid after all-"

"Hey, he's okay," Hugo interrupted, placing a hand on Varian's shoulder. He shifted closer, finally able to see the curve of Varian's nose, the shape of his eyes, and his mouth, pressed in a thin line. "Plus, I don't mind having him nearby."

"He's lucky you were there. We're all lucky. I know I can't thank you enough for saving him."

Hugo didn't feel particularly lucky. Soon, the team would realize he was going to be the key to their failure. Ingvarr was only a few days away. If he could, he'd take 100 sleepless nights like these if it meant delaying the inevitable.

"Are you okay?"

Hugo snapped out of his thoughts to look back at Varian who had leaned in closer, concerned.

"Y-Yeah...just tired," he lied. But he could tell Varian wasn't quite buying it. His furrowed brows refused to soften. For a second, he was glad he couldn't see the intense stare Varian had on him.

"If you want, we can switch," Varian offered. "I'll stay with Yong and you can knock out in my tent."

It was a kind gesture, but Hugo had meant it when he said he didn't mind having Yong nearby. The last trial had made him scared for the boy as well, but he wouldn't admit that. Instead, Hugo lazily smirked at Varian.

"Inviting me to your bed? That's rather forward of you."

Even in the dark of the night, Hugo could see Varian's face flush at his teasing. He let out a soft laugh as Goggles lightly punched his arm.

"You must be sleep deprived if you're making dumb jokes like that," huffed Varian.

"Ha, probably," Hugo yawned, watching as Varian tried to regain his composure. He couldn't help but stare at him. A muted blush still covered his face. The blur of Hugo's vision made Varian's facial features softer. But his green eyes longed to focus more in hopes of seeing the spray of freckles across Varian's cheeks and nose. A wave of sleepiness hit Hugo and he yawned once more. He figured he had enough fresh air and was ready to go back to his tent.

"I should go back to bed," Hugo mumbled.

"Yeah, you look like you're gonna pass out. I'm heading off to bed too. I was only up to finish restocking some of our solution bombs, in case we run into trouble soon. Nuru says that we should be-"

Hugo's eyes moved down to watch Varian's mouth move as he spoke, letting him ramble on. He could see his slight overbite peek behind his lips. The sound of his voice soothed him as it escaped his mouth. It was a pleasant sound to hear when it wasn't yelling at him. Hell, even with the yells, Hugo was certain he would miss it. His emerald eyes narrowed at the shape of Varian's lips. Had they always looked that full? Or was it just his bad eyesight? He slightly smiled to himself, knowing one way he could find out. His mind buzzed at the thought.

"Well, I hope you get a good night's sleep," Varian finished, feeling a tad awkward with Hugo staring and smiling at him.

He froze as Hugo leaned down unexpectantly, bringing his face dangerously close to his. The movement was so sudden that he didn't have a chance to react. Painfully, their noses collided, causing both scientists to yelp and groan in pain.

"Ah!" Varian hissed, holding his nose. "What was that for?"

"Sorry," Hugo apologized, looking rather dazed. "I don't have my glasses, so my depth perception is shit."

"What were you even-"

Varian stiffened once more as Hugo placed a hand against his cheek. The heat of his skin sent a small shiver down his back. Varian let go of his nose and looked up to see those green eyes squinting fiercely at him. He couldnt help but feel more anxious than earlier. Slowly, Hugo pressed his thumb against Varian's lips. Unlike before, Varian had time to react, but didn't pull away, curious as to what Hugo was doing. Their faces inched closer together and Varian could feel Hugo's breath. The alchemist glanced at the blond's mouth seeing it creep closer to his. Nervously, he swallowed, his lips slightly parting as Hugo slid his thumb across them.

"Full...just as I thought," Hugo mumbled. For a brief moment, the two made eye contact. Just when Varian was certain that the space between them would dissipate, Hugo removed his hand and turned away.

"Goodnight," Hugo said quickly, going back into his tent.

Varian stood flabbergasted, mouth agape and mind overwhelmed.

Hugo laid back down in his tent, burying his face in his pillow.

Both of them shared the exact same thought.

What the hell was THAT?!

In this tired daze, Hugo almost did the unthinkable. He mentally kicked himself, blaming his sleep deprived brain and hoping Varian wouldn't bring this up tomorrow. Yong shifted beside him, accidentally smacking the back of his head with his stretched out arm.

Hugo needed to sleep so bad.

The two of you actually meet through Murat. You're older than Murat, you’re actually older than Hasan by 2-3 years, You and Murat worked on a project forever ago and just kept in contact, especially because you are based in California and he was still in Oklahoma, but planning on moving to California.

It’s after he moves in with Hasan that you first meet the man, and you immediately ask Murat ``Is he someone's man?" It’s 100% Murat’s fault, he invites you to a party that is being held at Hasan’s, and the moment that you get a glimpse at Hasan you immediately turn to Murat and start questioning him about his older attractive brother.

He does introduce you two, and it goes so very bad. Neither of you are sober, so when you get into an actual conversation you start rambling about random things, in really vivid details using all kinds of big words. He gets intimidated, it scares him at first, still does to this day if he’s honest, but he’s into it.

Now, you two don’t get together anytime soon after that first conversion. It is a very long amount of time before the two of you get together, and to the rest of the Piker family it seems like forever. They see how often you are around, as a product of how good of friends you are with Murat and how much they see you and Hasan talking. They don’t really push it, other than Murat who is constantly telling Hasan to ask you out, most of the family just silently accepts that you’re part of the family.

You have a great relationship with most of his friends, but nothing quite like your relationship with Will. Will, who you bonded with really quickly, for no real reason you’re the same age as him, if not a year older, you just got along. You’re always inviting Will to go to a sports game with you, inviting him and Caroline to go out when you need to go clothes shopping, or want to go wine tasting, or just out in general.

Not to mention that Will is always willing and ready to defend you when Hasan jokingly complains about you. Hasan wants to talk about you leaving stuff around the house, "dude she's busy girl bossing." Or if he says something about you being unusually loud, "says you!”. Y’all are besties.

Austin loves you. He loves to just have you around, like in a very similar way to him you are messy, unlike him you are quietly messy. When he mentions something wild that he did, he makes it the main focus of the conversation, whereas you just mention things casually. Like you just off offhandedly say something about being banned from the Smithsonian, or how you once burned half an apartment down on a Christmas eve as a teen. He genuinely thinks you’re effortlessly funny.

QT also likes having you around. Much like her, you tend to be more quiet and observational than the boys are. She also really enjoys to watch you wrangle in the guys, just the stubble glares at Hasan when he cuts someone off, cutting of Austin when he cuts you off, you waiting for Will to be finished with what he was saying before immediately following his sentence with “As I was saying”. You do the same when the boys interrupt her. That’s why you’re her favorite podcast guest.

Speaking about the podcast, the viewers love you, and by viewers I do mean anyone who sees you in any form of content; a random tiktok you're in the background of, a podcast episode that you get roped into doing, a stream that sits in on for a few minutes. It doesn't matter what it is, the people love you. Like chat’s constantly trying to get you to be on stream. The amount of times he'll see "call mom" or "bring mom on" is insane. They just want to have enough content with you in it to be able to make a "Y/N correcting Hasan for 10 minutes" compilation.

Chat likes when you appear on stream. They know that it always involves story time for them. Sometimes it’s about your childhood, or stories from when you and Hasan first started dating, or stories about your exes, or your travels. Chat loves story time with mom.

Also the on camera dynamic you have with Hasan is very different to the on camera dynamic you have with Will. Hasan is always going on about how smart you are, he’s boasting about you knows no bounds, therefor when he talks about stuff he knows nothing about, that you are very knowledgeable on, and does so with so much confidence. You never hesitate to inform him on just how wrong he is, you actually correct everyone when they say things that are wildly wrong. Everyone except for Will. With Will you’re always like “Oh, darling. I don't think you know what that word means."

There is an ongoing joke between you, Hasan, and WIll where at least once every time all three of you are on camera Hasan has to ask if you are cheating on him with Will. You never fail to respond by hugging Will and being like ‘Yeah, so what?😊😊😊 You're cheating on me with Austin.”

Not to mention being on stream with Hasan and Murat! The entire time it’s just the two poking fun of Hasan. It’s just constant jokes like “I swear Murat, sometimes it feels like I'm dating a child” or "The poor baby, he just gets so stressed sometimes." "Are you really going to be talking like that at a kid's game? At your big ol’ age?" and the chat is laughing so much because you’re talking like that about a 32 year old man.

Austin and Will somehow manage to get you on Name Your Price. It is so out of your comfort zone, you're not a media personality, and isn't used to being on camera. The only times she's really been on camera is on Hasan's stream and even then it's never for long periods of time and Hasan is always right next to her.

So when the NYP streams starts she's a bit odd, quieter, not really making jokes, more observant than normally. But after about 20-25 minutes she gets comfortable. Austin makes the questions, so he does gear them to be mostly about science shit in hopes that it would help make you feel more comfortable.

Everybody is just so amazed how smart and funny you are. You end up cussing Hasan out for not knowing something. "Babe, I literally explain this term to you last week"

"This isn't a question of if your smart or not Hasan, this is a question of are you listening when i tell you things."

Also the house is in a constant state of disaster because you and Murat aew always starting projects and never really ending them. you also help Hasan's mom put all the furniture she buys together.

“The end of act three was such a cliche blah blah blah” SHUT UP. NO IT WASNT. IT WAS PEAK. Allow me to explain.

Arcane season 2 act 3 spoilers ahead:

Yes, Vi could have very easily left Vander to die on the ledge. But ehat kind of daughter would do that? She was 100% ready to fall and die with him. The last time he “died” she left him, and that guilt most certainly still follows her. So yeah, she’s willing to stay with him until the end; To do things “right” this time.

Jinx saying “he’s gone” could have been interpreted one of two ways.

1. “He’s dead” he’s not coming back. Everything they did was for nothing. Her father is actually gone, again. Everything she’s done to make things better has failed, so she’ll spend her last moments relishing in the love she was able to share before he changed. He’s her FATHER, there’s no way she’s going to leave him.

2. “He’s not who he was” he’s transformed once again, and there’s no coming back. But that’s been proven wrong before. Ekko once told Vi that Powder was “gone” but she wasn’t. She’s not going to take the chance of giving up on someone that she loves again. If he can just wake up, she can get them out of there and help.

Either one of these perfectly explains why Vi didn’t leave the ledge. They were never even trying to kill him duing their fight (Jinx and Vi). They already knew that bullets and punches wouldn’t work, they were just trying to weaken him, if anything.

So all this begs the question, ‘Why didn’t Jinx act the same way?’ Well for one, she wasn’t on the ledge with Vander. She didn’t have the time to actually think about anything other than the fact that the ledge is falling and soon Vi will too. In other words, she wasn’t there she was separated from the other two, and looking at the situation from afar. She got the full picture, Vi didn’t. Jinx saw the urgency that Vi needed to leave at, Vi didn’t. Jinx can’t lose her sister- but oh,

Vi can.

Vi was ready to.

The fight during act one proved that if anyone is ready to lose their sister, it’s Vi. She faced it once, she can do it again.

It could’ve very well been that Jinx was just going to push Vander and herself off so that Vi could stay, but Vander woke up. Jinx was 100% ready to leave, so her originally just sacrificing herself to get Vander off yhr ledge would’ve made perfect sense. Of course, though, he woke up, and now we’re at the extreme, the worst case scenario.

There is no world in which Vi would’ve let go on her own. She was ready to go with Vander, she still is, but now Jinx is in the equation. She can’t let Jinx go again so she holds on.

She can’t lose someone again.

But we all know she can’t pull both Jinx and Vander up, and so does Jinx, so she does what she’s been wanting to do for so long, she lets go.

Now of course we get into the “is Jinx alive” debate but that’s not what this was about. Act three isn’t a Cliche because there was nothing that could’ve been done to actually stop it. There’s a reason it was written that Vi had the ability to get up and leave. She very easily could’ve been written to be on a ledge where there wasn’t an escape, but that’s not the point. It was written beautifully, and if you think otherwise you can leave >:(

summary: post fall hannigram, fits in the same universe as 'Pushed in' and 'I Panicked' but it's not necessary to read those first to understand this one. Hannibal is trying to do something nice for once and will is rightfully suspicious.

This one is a little bit shorter than the past few and i apologize if it feels rushed at all, im not really feeling 100% yet but i wanted to get this posted. “Alright Will, I shall see you in a few hours.” Hannibal calls out from where he’s putting his shoes on by the door prompting a halfhearted affirmative noise from Will, the younger man only looking up from his book when he hears the door close. Will shoots up from the couch and rushes over to the window to get a good look at Hannibal as he gets into his car and drives off; what the hell is he hiding? Hannibal had been acting weird and Will was suspicious to say the least; the cannibal disappearing for hours on end four times in the last week with very little explanation. Will hasn’t brought Hannibal's random disappearances up to the man yet but he’s getting awfully damn close to blowing a fuse over the whole situation; what could he even possibly be doing? The nearest town is almost an hour away and Will isn’t naive enough to think that that's where the man is going every time he leaves their home, especially since he has returned empty handed every time. Will is worried that the man has already grown bored of him and their new life and Will would be damned if after only a month into their living together the man is already ready to toss him to the side. 

Will’s worry had slowly transformed into anger over the course of the last week, growing increasingly more irate with each rushed goodbye from Hannibal; the cannibal returned looking disheveled each time, rushing to the bathroom to freshen up as soon as he arrived home causing even more anger to bubble up inside the younger man. Will really can’t believe the man would be able to find a sexual partner this soon after arriving, especially one that’s not Will, but all the signs are pointing to Hannibal having an affair. Will supposes it's not even an affair, given that he and Hannibal aren’t technically together; hell, the man hadn’t even touched the ex-profiler aside from when he’d stitched him up after they had pulled each other out of the ocean. Will had really expected there to be at least a little bit of physical intimacy at this point, he’d even take a chaste kiss at this point; hell, they shared a bed, but the cannibal hadn't touched him once. 

Sure, Will had almost taken them out in a murder suicide a few months prior, but he reasons that Hannibal has done way worse stuff that he’d been willing to get over. Will thinks the man is being a bit hypocritical if he’s still holding a grudge over it; for fucks sake the man had gutted him, and Will had gotten over it with an alarming amount of ease. It’d be unbelievable if Will had moved on from all the things Hannibal had put him through and given up his entire life to create a new one with the cannibal and Hannibal turned around and slept with someone else, but with the way the man had been acting Will can’t help but think that’s what's happening. 

Will really can’t believe this is his life, he’s sat on the couch muttering quietly to himself about the man he’d decided to share his life with while he day drinks Hannibal’s undoubtedly expensive wine like a bitter housewife; he wonders briefly if bitter housewives think about killing their partners the way he is now, this thought causes a small chuckle to leave him because, of course they do. He doubts the housewives are having fantasies as graphic as his, but he doesn't feel all that guilty about his thoughts, Hannibal had turned him into a spurned lover, and they’d only just settled in Argentina a month ago and it irritated him to no end.

Will polishes off the bottle he’d been drinking and makes quick work of opening another one, this time not even taking the time to pour himself glasses of it, choosing instead to drink it straight from the bottle. He settles back into the couch taking large gulps of wine, a little bit of it escaping his mouth and landing on his shirt, staining the material. He finishes the bottle quickly, setting it down on the floor and hearing it roll away after his failed attempt at setting it right side up, he closes his eyes and drifts off.

He startles awake at the sound of the door, groaning quietly at the dizzy feeling that comes with sitting up that quickly; he’s definitely still a little drunk. Will pushes himself to his feet, wobbling slightly as he stomps over to the door where Hannibal has just come in.

“You!” it's said with a finger pointed in the cannibal’s direction.

“Good lord Will how much have you had to drink?”

“Not important!” Will can hear the slur in his own words, “where the hell were you?!”

“I had some business to take care of,” Hannibal walks towards where Will is standing as he says this, “you should really sit down.” 

“Oh, blow it out your ass Hannibal,” Hannibal looks indignant at Will's outburst, coming to a stop a couple feet in front of him, “I know you’ve been hiding something!”

“I’m not sure what you’re talking about William.”

“Don’t ‘William’ me you asshole, and don’t lie to me!” Will shouts this as he gives Hannibal's shoulder a shove that doesn't have much effect on the man, “my brain isn't melting anymore! I know when you're hiding something!”

Hannibal places a gentle hand on Will’s shoulder that takes the wind out of the younger man's sails, his shoulders deflating instantly under the cannibal's hand, “Will please calm down and take a seat before you hit the ground.”

“Fine.” Will makes his way back to the couch, sitting with a huff. Hannibal enters the room a few moments later carrying a glass of water that he sets on the end table closest to will.

“You are the most infuriating man I have ever met; I can't believe I put up with you.” It’s said in a tone that's usually reserved for when people say I love you; an overwhelming amount of fondness lacing the sentence.

Will opens his mouth ready to bite out a retort but Hannibal holds a hand up effectively silencing him before the older man starts speaking again, “I should’ve known that it would be impossible to surprise you.”

“The hell are you on about Hannibal?”

“You are a naturally suspicious person with a penchant for jealousy that usually results in large bursts of anger and violence.”

“Oh screw you, you pretentious, hypocritical-”

“Please let me finish,” Will waves a hand at Hannibal, motioning for the man to continue with a look of barely concealed rage on his face, “I was trying to surprise you with a dog.”

Will's face falls blank at this, all of the anger leaving him only to be replaced by a large amount of shock. He opens and closes his mouth a few times, eyes never leaving the man in front of him, “Are you fucking with me Hannibal? Cause I swear to God if you are-”

“I promise I am not, please stay put for a moment.”

Will watches the man walk out the door back towards his car; he really can't believe the man got him a dog, but moments later he hears the sound of Hannibal reentering the house and an excited bark. He shoots off the couch rushing over to where Hannibal is standing with a rather large dog cradled in his arms, the cannibal immediately passing the dog over to Will who immediately begins scratching at the dog's fur.

“The woman at the shelter was unsure what breed the dog is fully, but she assumes he is at least partially border collie, I am very aware of your habit of taking in strays so i figured you wouldn't mind-” the words are cut off by wills mouth pressing against Hannibal with a bit too much force, their teeth clacking together causing them both to hiss slightly at the pain. Hannibal stiffens slightly at the initial press of their mouths but melts into it quickly, reaching a hand up to take hold of the hair at the base of Will's scalp. They stay locked in the kiss until they are forced to break apart to suck in a few gasping breaths of air. 

“Thank you,” it’s punctuated by another press of Will's lips against the older mans, “This is amazing.”

Hannibal seems frozen, staring at Will like he’s grown a second head and Will is starting to worry that he shouldn’t have kissed him.

“I didn't think you wanted to kiss me.”

It’s Will’s turn to freeze, his face dumbfounded as he searches Hannibal’s face for any sign that the man is joking, “Why the hell wouldn’t I want to kiss you?”

“You are a very confusing man.”

“So are you.”

“You haven’t given any indication that you wanted to have a physical relationship with me, Will.” Hannibal says this like it's the obvious thing in the world and it makes Will huff out a disbelieving noise; Will is torn between kissing him again or reaching out to throttle him. 

“I've been sleeping in nothing but boxers the entire time we’ve been staying here! Not even just boxers but briefs!”

“It’s a warm country.”

“For fucks sake Hannibal,” Will reaches up a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, he’s feeling mostly sober now and his heads starting to hurt, “It’s not like you’ve given any indication that you want a physical relationship either.”

“I don’t think that’s necessarily true I-”

“Cut the shit, you’ve all but built an anti-gay pillow barrier between us in our bed.”

Hannibal’s brows furrow at this, “What is an anti-gay pillow bar-”

“That’s what you're focusing on?” will sighs before continuing on, “Listen Hannibal, I know you’re attracted to me,” Hannibal's mouth opens to respond but will continues before he gets the chance, “You’ve stared at my ass, consistently, for the entire time we’ve known each other.”

“I don’t know-”

“You know exactly what I'm talking about! The only person you’re lying to is yourself.”

Hannibal looks like he wants to fight Will on this briefly before a look of acceptance takes form on his face, he nods slightly, “I wasn’t aware i was that obvious about it.”

“You thought you were being subtle?”

“There is no need to rub it in.”

Will lets out a disbelieving sound at the man's words, opening his mouth to continue but Hannibal presses his mouth back to Will's, effectively cutting off whatever he had planned to say. They break apart shortly after, this kiss not lasting nearly as long as the one before and will stares at Hannibal unblinking before the older man begins talking, “Surely your head hurts too much for you to continue irritating me.”

Will scoffs at this, pushing himself out of Hannibal's arms and bending down to pick up the dog that had been nosing at his legs during their interaction, “You’re right, my new friend and I should go get comfortable in bed.”

Hannibal smiles at this, watching Wills form retreat to their shared bedroom before freezing, feeling like a bucket of cold water has been poured over his head he shouts a startled, “Do not put that dog in our bed Will!”

i believe Kaveh and Cyno would give away himself for you without a doubt, Diluc and Zhongli maybe with a bit of hesitation; but Alhaitham would cook up the best plan in order to save you, and that includes sacrificing the world, that or Wanderer blasting his way through people just for you.

He just has such a good heart and he is a soft boy deep down. the chasm quest with him proved too that he would totally sacrifice himself. → Thoma and Kazuha are also candidates.

Would sacrifice the world for you → Alhaitham without a shadow of a doubt. He already doesn't care much about most people but you managed to snake your way into his heart. He doesn't seem like he cares most of the time but if it came down to it he'd do everything to save you. Would sacrifice himself for you → Gepard! If anyone from the cast would throw himself in the way of danger to keep you safe it's this man. → Dan Heng. He may seem cold and distanced but he wouldn't hesitate for one second to push you out of the way in the face of danger and take the blow instead. → Welt. I can't really explain this one but he gives me the gentle vibes and he'd fight tooth and nail to keep you safe. While he'll probably emerge victorious he's willing to sacrifice himself to keep you safe.

Would sacrifice the world for you → Jing Yuan. He's already lost so much in his lifetime so he isn't ready to grieve over you. Without a doubt he'd sacrifice the world if it meant you would be able to stay by his side. → Blade already doesn't particularly care much about the world as it is anyway. I am the worst. I want to formally apologize to @diehatecry24 for taking waaaaay to long to post this . . . and I'm not going to lie but I only have half of it done. A-Aftercare (How are they after the deed?) 

At first, he’s either, “so long, thanks for being a receptacle” or immediately flops over on his side away from you and snoring. I have a theory

Loft reminds Slate of a family member. More specifically his sister.

Thats why they are so cold to him.

So, it's not just me right? There's a resemblance here. The way the hair falls and the colour.

ESPECIALLY WITH THE HEADBAND THAT LOFT HASNT WORN UNTIL NOW.

If Loft got given that headband by someone here as he was helping and now that Slate has seen him wearing it and also not he's had this memory it would explain why he looks to the side like that.

He's looking in the direction that Loft left the screen, perhaps looking for him...

The response from Slate might be a trauma response without them realising it. He's acting cold to Loft because he reminds him of a member of his family that he can't put a face too.

Twisted Minds

Jaebeom

Park Jaebeom hated thunderstorms since the day he and his grandfather got caught in one when they went out to fish together. His grandfather didn't make it.

It's been a year since his grandfather passed away, something that deeply affected him. He moved back home and was surprised to find out he had inherited his grandfather's apartment.

The joy was short-lived though. Living in an complex occupied only by retired and elderly people wasn't exactly a chick magnet.

A week after he moved in, he found out that his next door neighbor wasn't 80 years old, sporting dentures. Yoon Bora was 29, just like himself and as far as he knew, single.

Willing to use his best game on her, he was taken aback when she seemingly was able to resist his charm.

Her aversion causing sleepless nights, he eventually accepted defeat and was ready to move on. Only if it weren't for Bora's occasional glares every time they ended up sharing the elevator. Jaebeom didn't know if she was grossed out or scared by him. Either way, this was not the signal he wanted to send.

Lying in his bed, an arm raised over his head, he stared at the ceiling, counting the minutes until this storm would pass. Trying desperately to keep his breathing shallow, he flinched every time a thunder struck. Even the bottle of soju he downed just a couple minutes ago couldn't calm his nerves.

With each strike the thunder seemed to be getting closer and closer to him. He had to fight the urge to run out of his apartment, but instead cowered underneath the covers, closing his eyes shut and forcing himself to sleep.

He woke up hours later, engulfed in silence. A feeling as if his brain was replaced by cotton, filling out his head, making him light-headed.

The silence was eerie and just when he parted his lips to let out a sigh, a ringing filled his ears. Silence followed again, then a small voice mumbled something.

Is the tv running?

Instinctively he turned his head as if he would be able to hear better, but no, the tv wasn't on.

The voice came from within his head.

Trying to calm his hitched breathing, he focused on the voice but couldn't make out any words.

Thinking it must've been the alcohol's fault, he emptied everything he had in the sink and got ready for the day.

After work, he went for a jog, like he always did. But that day, instead of going to the gym after jogging, like he always did, he found himself jogging back home.

Turning the corner and jogging towards his apartment building, he noticed Bora walking ahead of him. When he passed her, he casually greeted her.

"Hi."

Surprised by his own pleasantry, he furrowed his eyebrows, but continued jogging up to the entrance.

Suddenly he felt a small hand on his shoulder, forcefully commanding him to turn around.

"Park Jaebeom?"

Jaebeom didn't know why she sounded so surprised. Her face was a mix of panic and confusion.

"Yes?"

Jaebeom felt himself answering even though he had promised himself he would ignore Yoon Bora.

She mumbled an apology that sounded as insincere as her face. Not further acknowledging her presence, he let himself in and took the stairs up to his floor.

Of course, exhausting his body was the best remedy for sleepless nights. Thankfully he drifted off to sleep as soon as he laid his head on the pillow.

When he woke up in the middle of the night, he panicked when he looked around and didn't recognize his surroundings.

It looked like his apartment, yet it was filled with stuff that wasn't his. Upon closer inspection he realized it was some chick's apartment.

Had I gone out and gotten laid?

Impossible! I didn't have had any alcohol.

His vision was blurry and even rubbing his eyes didn't help. Squeezing them shut for a few seconds, he had convinced himself that he was dreaming. When he opened his eyes again, he stared directly into Yoon Bora.

He was a 100% sure then that he was indeed dreaming. Allowing his imagination to run wild he rubbed his rigid body against hers, moaning in excitement as Bora's body responded to his touch. His tongue grazed over her nipples, delightfully biting her soft flesh. He could see her lips move, words coming out but never reaching his ears. She claimed his mouth, sucking on his bottom lip and rubbing her tiny body against his.

Jaebeom woke up with a boner, finding release in the shower minutes later. While getting dressed, his gaze was glued to the wall connecting his apartment with Bora's.

He had a lot of sex in his life so far, good sex, but nothing compared to what that dream with Bora made him feel.

Groaning, he decided to go to the gym to release some pent up frustration. When he exited his apartment he almost collided with Bora. She nodded but he didn't move, just followed her to the elevator. It seemed to him she was holding her breath the whole time and fled the second the door opened.

Why did I have to dream of that weirdo?

Regretting his impulse decision to throw out all the alcohol he had at home, he stopped by the convenience store on his way home that night. Picking up four bottles of soju, he paid at the check-out.

Suddenly he felt as if he was being watched. When he turned his head around, he saw Bora diving into an empty isle.

Shaking his head he walked home and downed two bottles of soju before he took a short shower. A light buzz and trash tv usually helped him sleep and he was glad when his recipe worked.

Jaebeom was still sleeping when he turned over, laying on his belly. He didn't feel the soft fabric of the mattress underneath him though. He was laying on top of someone.

He forced his eyes open, seeing Bora laying underneath him.

Not again!

As if his subconscious had a mind of its own, he slowly grabbed the blanket, peeling it back, revealing inch by inch her luscious body. His dick hardened when he saw that she was naked. Then he reached down, pulling down his sweatpants and repositioning himself on top of Bora.

She wrapped her legs around his waist and Jaebeom felt and urge to sink himself deep into her. Not wasting precious seconds out of this dream, he pushed himself inside her, sighing in content. He spoke to her, told her how turned on he was, but she didn't seem to hear any of his words. When Bora's body shuddered underneath Jaebeom he knew he had just released inside her. Panicked, he pulled out and was immediately engulfed by darkness.

Jaebeom woke up feeling anything but rested. Lifting the covers, he was worried to find that he hadn't had a boner this morning.

"What the fuck was that?" He asked the empty room, too conflicted to call it a dream any longer.

He decided to stay at home for the day, avoiding the possibility of him running into Yoon Bora. Late at night he heard loud rumbling coming from her apartment. Like she was moving furniture around.

Is she leaving?

The thought scared him. And the thought that it scared him, scared him even more.

Listening closely, he tried to make out any specific noise but then suddenly everything was quiet again. Then a timid knock on his door.

"Park Jaebeom-ssi?"

Sprinting to the door, he opened it as casually as he could, leaning against it.

"What?"

"I- I- if you don't mind, could you help me for a second?" She asked, simultaneously ushering him towards her apartment.

Jaebeom recognized the surroundings immediately. It was the location of his dream two nights ago.

"Could you help me move my bed?"

Her small voice startled him. "Your bed? What's wrong with where it's standing now?"

"Bad feng shui." She offered as excuse but Jaebeom wasn't buying it.

Nodding his head, he grabbed the bottom end, counting to three.

The bed was heavier than it looked and his lower back was aching when he put it down again. Instinctively, he shut his eyes, breathing through the pain.

But when he shut them, the pain was replaced by another, much stronger sensation. Pleasure.

As soon as he shut his eyes, he saw himself kneeling on the bed, Bora on all fours in front of him, presenting him her juicy ass, pleading for him to take her and fuck her brains out.

He opened his eyes, staring directly into Bora, who seemed unfazed and proceeded to move the nightstands to their new position.

A little bit in love with Glee!

and just life in general right now, honestly, but specifically Glee. I write this as a reminder for my future self who will probably make the same mistakes again and forget to be grounded, and forget that change is good and transitions take time but eventually you're going to find the sunshine of it all, because the first night of this season of Glee I was like, oh nooo. B wasn't able to come and there were SO many new faces and SO few of the OG members and we were in a new practising space that takes me a good 40 minutes to get to, and everyone's personality seemed SO big and I was worried that signing up this year was a big ole mistake. Specifically I had a conversation with Niall (whom I knew from the season where I was pregnant, what a trip that was bahaha) and Chandler, where Chandler immediately cussed me out and told me he hated me. And I knew it was a joke! I did! But the people pleaser in me was like no, please, you're supposed to love me and I will not rest until you do! Hahaha. And B said, don't worry, everyone was nervous, and everyone will settle down, and things won't feel so aggressive, and of course, she was completely, 100% right. A few weeks ago I really felt like we hit the part of the season where we all started gelling as a team, and everyone knows each other's personalities better, and everyone (I hope) feels accepted just as they are, plus I've always preferred learning the choreo and dances to the singing anyway, and when it all starts to come together that's the very best part. I come home every Thursday completely wired. And there are little things I love about everyone, like:

Alana's sense of humour. She is constantly cracking me up just by being her, and I was hit by a sense of extreme nostalgia this week realizing that we've been performing together now for over eight years. Amazing! She was talking about Glee Season 10 and I was like excellent, so this isn't going to end anytime soon, God willing!

Louis's smile and kindness

how quick Chandler's brain works. I truly can't keep up with him when we talk...and he's no longer telling me he hates me so that's great 😂

Faith's unwavering commitment to perfect choreography and harmony memorization. I panic texted her the other day and she was immediately at the ready to be like calm down this is how we're supposed to sing it.

Mara has the absolute chillest vibes and I am here for it. Literally the first day of Glee she was like I don't even know whether I'm a soprano or alto, and yet I never hear her singing off-key or messing us up. We love to see it! (And hear it.)

Maurice. He's so sweet and brought a hat just for EJ. So thoughtful!

I hated that Nick left halfway through the season BUT Seb is one of my favourite singers and we go way back so the fact that he just showed up out of nowhere to razzle dazzle us is just the best

getting to know Billy who straight up feels like he could be part of my high school gang. He comes off as the self-deprecating funny guy so it's been a fun surprise to find out that, much like the character he plays in Freak Flag, he is indeed an onion. :)

and of course, carpooling with B, while probably not good for my overall bedtime on Thursday nights due to the fact that I am still high on social interaction until almost 11pm rather than coming down during my drive, gives me LIFE. We love a debrief, and debrief we do!

I can't believe the show is in two weeks. Already praying for a babysitter and some sort of setup to work next year so I can come back!

That weird emptiness after completion

Yesterday, after over 270 hours throughout last 8 months, I finished Elden Ring. And it feels weird. It's bittersweet.

To begin with, it was never even a game I intended to play. My boyfriend challenged me to try to see how I would play, and reluctantly I tried. I happened to find a playstyle that worked for me, and in all the places where he struggled I breezed through. And that god me hooked. I felt proficient, I could choose my battles, I controlled my pace. It got to the point where I sprang way ahead of him at his game (which wasn't very appreciated), so I slowed down and took a break for a few weeks.

Every time I though I was done with the game, he would nudge me back to it, and again reluctantly I would. It's always so hard to get back to open world games, where you have to remember what all the stuff in your inventory does, where to go next, who had a quest for you etc. And in many ways Elden Ring makes that harder than other games without any quest log. But also it's smart, because it conditions us to remember, as any unfinished tasks stays in our memory, and especially if it's not written down anywhere. So even during my times off from Elden Ring I would still remember the quests and people I needed to talk to and continue.

Before I knew I fell in love with the game world, that epic sense of scale, the unique environments that I have never seen anywhere else. Most of those 270 hours I spent just exploring, running through the grassy and snowy plains to first discover Sites of Grace and map parts, without engaging with the enemies, and then re-running them when I was ready for combat.

At first I really wanted to avoid the "legacy dungeons" (again seeing my partner's many deaths and struggles in those). In the end I got to love those too, with Leyndell and Haligtree becoming my favorites.

I never actually thought I'd finish the game. I thought it would get too hard and I would not manage. And yes, it was hard at times (looking at you, Rennala), but I always managed, and it felt good to finally have that win after so many failures.

As I was approaching the end and struggling a lot against Maliketh and Malenia, I realized how much those fights reminded me of my struggles (and eventual victories) against bosses in Devil May Cry 3. I remember counting over 30 tries in a row on some of the bosses there. Elden Ring made me feel like I did those many years ago - willing to give up, but still pushing through, because I was emotionally invested in a tragic story that I wanted to see through to the end.

So now I'm done. And it feels so empty. Back in the day I would just start over another run of DMC3 and another until I've beaten the hardest difficulty, and then again, to improve my ratings and finish with as many S and SS rankings as I could. But Elden Ring is different. I am not ready for another 100+ hours run, and there's no point just running around a completed game.

Because Elden Ring was never on my to play list, I've been wanting to finish it just to be able to move on, but for now I can't move on - it just doesn't feel right. I don't wanna leave that world.

So me and my partner created new characters, to deal with that weird state of grief after completion. Again, I do not commit to completing the game. Only time will tell. I will dabble a bit, try out a completely different style of combat. Until the DLC comes, and then we will be back!

This experience made me reflect on how it's so similar with other large open world games. Earlier this year I completed Hogwarts Legacy - and it felt just as empty. As I approached the end I created 2 new characters to start the game over. After completion I sped-run the last part with one of the characters and that kinda did it. I felt I was done. Before that I completed Ghost of Tsushima which I also fell in love with. As soon as I finished the game I started NG+, I played half-way and got tired, I was ready to move on. Elden Ring though it's slightly different, because you can make each playthrough pretty unique, and it's so long that by the time you finish you don't really remember how it was in the beginning.

Let's see how far I get on this new character, but I hope I can move on soon, and finally get to the games I've been planning to play for a while, before Elden Ring.

I let him back in too soon when I said I wouldn't and still fucked everything up.

In my pursuit for not making the same mistake from my ex, I told him I wanted sex at least twice a week, and just last night he admitted it made him feel like a piece of meat.

He pointed out how much of an asshole he would be seen as if he'd said that to me, and like I know he's right. I felt awful.

And then he goes and says I'm making demands of him for sex when he's not even in a committed relationship to me. Like he "likes hanging out" with me, but we're not together? And saying how often I want sex is something that is earned in a relationship.

Like okay, I get the sex thing. I shouldn't have said that, it was totally wrong of me. In my mind, it was a way to feel closer to him, to feel wanted, and I thought sex would be a reason he'd ask to see me instead of me always asking to see him.

But then to just be like "we're not even really together"?

And then, he's like: it's 100% up to you if we continue or not, you just need to keep it professional at work.

And when twice I say, then we should call it because it's easier for me to do that if whatever this is between us isn't a thing, he follows up the second with, why don't you think about it and sleep on it??

He even said my feelings don't matter because the whole thing he started, that I couldn't handle the emotional roller-coaster of, could potentially cost him his job. Like I don't want to cost him his job or survival, but if he thinks I'm going to pick staying with him after all that and he doesn't want to just admit he wants to be with me or call me his girlfriend?

Fuck that. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I'm not going for a third. I'm gonna just grind and focus on making a fat paycheck.

I hope love will find me soon, and that it'll be someone who can handle how I love, make me feel secure and loved, and who is ready, able, and willing to commit to and love me wholeheartedly the way I do.

I'm so disappointed in myself for not being able to be patient.

I wish I met him at a different time and place.

And now I'm not even allowed to have a bad day at work because management might think its his fault. That's so not fair on me, especially because I wear my heart on my sleeve.

I love this job, and I'm not giving it up for someone I'm not even sure can love me the way I deserve.

TGIWednesday: My brother and March 28th

TGIWednesday News

My brother was funny, smart, gorgeous even and looked like Tom Cruise, only taller.  He wore cowboy boots and women clung to him wherever he went.  Our Mom, Great Granny Ruth was a Capricorn born on Christmas Day, while my brother was Capricorn too born on New Years Day.  My father was a Leo and I am a Leo so plates being thrown during dinner was not uncommon.  March 28th was the date of Kevin’s passing and I’ll never forget the police showing up at our door to notify us.  You never really get over the death of a sibling or someone you’re close to, you just learn to deal with it over time.  Drugs and alcohol were his undoing so working with addiction clients and even recording an Addiction audio MP3 are near and dear to my heart.  I’ve even worked with Ken Seeley who has the TV show Intervention.  Any way that I can give back and help others, I do so.  There is no coming back from some of our life choices so I am reminded to choose wisely and do the best I can for myself and for others and, in the memory of Kevin, I will remember to “be entertained and have fun” which could have been his life’s motto!  I also catch glimpses of my brother in my youngest son Hunter and it makes me smile.  Now when I see Tom Cruise movies I am reminded of my brother and what might have been, but I’m also reminded that what we should reminisce over is the good times.   Wrestling with life decisions?  Get on my schedule and together we’ll create a plan and get some resolution.  Appointments View Availability First, Then Pay 15 mins  | 30 mins  | 60 mins

TGIWednesday: My brother and March 28th

TGIWednesday News

My brother was funny, smart, gorgeous even and looked like Tom Cruise, only taller.  He wore cowboy boots and women clung to him wherever he went.  Our Mom, Great Granny Ruth was a Capricorn born on Christmas Day, while my brother was Capricorn too born on New Years Day.  My father was a Leo and I am a Leo so plates being thrown during dinner was not uncommon.  March 28th was the date of Kevin’s passing and I’ll never forget the police showing up at our door to notify us.  You never really get over the death of a sibling or someone you’re close to, you just learn to deal with it over time.  Drugs and alcohol were his undoing so working with addiction clients and even recording an Addiction audio MP3 are near and dear to my heart.  I’ve even worked with Ken Seeley who has the TV show Intervention.  Any way that I can give back and help others, I do so.  There is no coming back from some of our life choices so I am reminded to choose wisely and do the best I can for myself and for others and, in the memory of Kevin, I will remember to “be entertained and have fun” which could have been his life’s motto!  I also catch glimpses of my brother in my youngest son Hunter and it makes me smile.  Now when I see Tom Cruise movies I am reminded of my brother and what might have been, but I’m also reminded that what we should reminisce over is the good times.   Wrestling with life decisions?  Get on my schedule and together we’ll create a plan and get some resolution.  Appointments View Availability First, Then Pay 15 mins  | 30 mins  | 60 mins

TGIWednesday: My brother and March 28th

TGIWednesday News

My brother was funny, smart, gorgeous even and looked like Tom Cruise, only taller.  He wore cowboy boots and women clung to him wherever he went.  Our Mom, Great Granny Ruth was a Capricorn born on Christmas Day, while my brother was Capricorn too born on New Years Day.  My father was a Leo and I am a Leo so plates being thrown during dinner was not uncommon.  March 28th was the date of Kevin’s passing and I’ll never forget the police showing up at our door to notify us.  You never really get over the death of a sibling or someone you’re close to, you just learn to deal with it over time.  Drugs and alcohol were his undoing so working with addiction clients and even recording an Addiction audio MP3 are near and dear to my heart.  I’ve even worked with Ken Seeley who has the TV show Intervention.  Any way that I can give back and help others, I do so.  There is no coming back from some of our life choices so I am reminded to choose wisely and do the best I can for myself and for others and, in the memory of Kevin, I will remember to “be entertained and have fun” which could have been his life’s motto!  I also catch glimpses of my brother in my youngest son Hunter and it makes me smile.  Now when I see Tom Cruise movies I am reminded of my brother and what might have been, but I’m also reminded that what we should reminisce over is the good times.   Wrestling with life decisions?  Get on my schedule and together we’ll create a plan and get some resolution.  Appointments View Availability First, Then Pay 15 mins  | 30 mins  | 60 mins
