Hello librarian, I hope you’re having a nice day/evening !! I’m coming to you because I need help finding back a fic I’ve read one or two years ago.

here’s the plot : Lily,Remus, Sirius and James are going on holiday in the winter time and they’re supposed to get to somewhere (probably to Effie and Monty’s but I’m not sure) but they get stuck in a snow storm so they have to stay in a little cabin while the storm passes. Remus is dating someone or they just broken up (can’t remember exactly) and Sirius is obviously pinning and jealous of Remus’ bf and they get together by the end of the fic

My favorite wolfstar raises Harry, I think. And we get Neville too!!! The way childhood loss and grief are portrayed is gutting in its accuracy, but also healing in watching wolfstar lovingly navigate the complexity of parenting children who are not your biological offspring. I don't want to get too spicy on main but that last bit is v important to me.

HP Fic Recs Day 21

A fic that made you think: I was definitely thinking about A Potter's Field by MsAlexWP (and podfic by @burningaurora) long after I read it. It is a beautiful mediation on life and death and grief. Sirius and Remus meet at a funeral that Sirius sponsors for an unhoused man who they both knew from the train station. At the same time, Sirius is grappling with the loss of James and Lily, and trying to get custody of Harry.

A week ago, Remus had given him the go-ahead, a blanket approval to do whatever Sirius wanted to him while he was asleep. After hemming and hawing about it for seven days, (re)formulating a plan, and bracing himself for either total failure or sweet, sticky success, Sirius finally plucked up the courage to just do it. But it wasn’t just watching. Sirius wanted—no, needed, he’d come to realize—to just… have these stolen moments of watching Remus sleep, something he'd done for decades now, culminate into something more. He loved how Remus looked when he slept, his narrow face free from worry or pain, his body loose and warm and (hopefully) pliable. He needed to take a dreaming, relaxed Remus to higher heights of pleasure before Remus’s dumb (brilliant) brain kicked into overdrive.

I don't get around to reading nearly as much as I want to for a lot of reasons, and I feel like I'm always behind in fics. So much I want to read, so little time.

Well, along comes @burningaurora, who is making podfics of so many good fics I haven't been able to read. I've already read @impishtubist's Da Capo and @msalexwp's Stray Dogs, and now I'm working through @r33sespieces 's Unexpected Reunion. (Which, by the way, are all FANTASTIC fics and WONDERFUL podfics, if you're looking for somewhere to start.)

Now, all of a sudden, my 45 minute commute is fic time rather than listening to talking heads on the radio. I'm *thrilled.* I want @burningaurora to do all of AO3 so that I can just keep listening forever.
