Welcome to the second Marauders Omegaverse Fest! This is a fest to promote omegaverse, or A/B/O, content in the Marauder's fandom.

Prompting is open until June 1, 2024. Claiming opens May 22, 2024, and will remain open until August 15, 2024. Fics are due on August 20, 2024. Posting will begin on September 2, 2024.

Chance would be a fine thing snippet

This is my fic for the @marauders-omegaverse-fest. Posting date: September 13.

Remus looks at him with narrowed eyes. “What were you doing out there, anyway? Don’t you know this is a rut hut?”

“It’s a–wait, what did you call it?” Sirius asks, a bit bewildered. 

“A rut hut?” he says. “An alpha rut facility, but that’s a terrible name.” 

“So you call it a rut hut?” Sirius laughs. “That’s ridiculous.” 

Remus smiles. “Well, yes, but the whole concept is a bit ridiculous. That doesn’t explain why you were in there, though. Did you take a wrong turn and kept going past the containment barriers?”

Sirius grimaces. “My mother was trying to teach me a lesson, I think. Something about how I should be grateful for the privilege of my new alpha mate.” 

“That sounds like the sort of drivel that comes from those ridiculous pureblood mating ceremonies–what are they called Vincini?” he says with disgust. Sirius doesn’t answer, and a heavy silence falls over the room. Remus turns to look at him. “What? Don’t tell me you’re a pureblood?”

“I was on my way to my own ridiculous Vinculum when my mother thought we should take a detour first.” Sirius shrugs sinking to sit on the edge of the bed. “She didn’t even have the decency to leave my wand when she apparated away without me.” 

“Merlin’s saggy bollocks, that’s cold,” he says as he shakes his head. Then he freezes. “Wait, don’t those Vin–uh–”

“Vinculum,” Sirius corrects.

“Right, Vinculum. Doesn’t that thing happen at the omega’s first heat?”

“Yes,” Sirius says, then gestures down at himself. “My body is all ready to betray me with no party to go to.” 

“Shit,” Remus moves toward the door, a bit panicked. “I didn’t realize. That’s definitely going to be a problem.” 

“Oh.” Sirius is a bit surprised by the change, but he really can’t argue with the man who just saved his life. “I guess I can leave if it’s a problem.” 

“Oh, no. I can’t let you leave.” Remus shakes his head and begins pacing. “You are definitely not safe out there. It’s lucky that they didn’t realize you were on your heat. They would have eaten you alive.” Remus stops pacing and looks at him. “Wait, why can’t I smell it on you?”

Sirius gestures down to his robe. “It’s made to keep the scent in through the ceremony. Traps it all under the bottom until my alpha releases it.” 

“Merlin,” Remus says, and he’s pacing again. “Yeah, you can’t leave. I don’t mean to scare you, but I honestly don’t think you’d survive five minutes if you tried to run for it.” 

“Is it alright that I stay here?” Sirius asks. It seems rude to ask. Is this Remus’s home? Or his room? 

“I guess you’re going to have to.”

And we are finished. It’s been a ride and I now know that I am definitely coming back for another one. Omegaverse is an addiction. Have fun with it it too! The last of M.A.T.E.[s].

Black brothers sassination 👀👀🙏 Already hooked from the name alone

This is for a @marauders-omegaverse-fest (MABO) prompt, wherein the brothers Black are both pregnant and have very different opinions on nesting. Hopefully this one will be short, but you know...it's me. Currently it's just a whole bunch of sass between Regulus and Sirius 🤣

"What are you doing here?" Sirius turns his head so fast his neck cracks and he bumps his forehead on the door of the linen cupboard. "Could ask you the same question, brother." Though Sirius can't see him, he can feel Regulus rolling his eyes. "I live here." "Do you?"  Regulus grabs the back of Sirius's shirt and tugs to pull him away from the cupboard, slamming the door shut. "What is that supposed to mean?" Sirius blinks at him and tilts his head. "Tsk, brother, the pregnancy hormones getting to your head, are they?" He pats his pale cheek and laughs under his breath when Regulus bats his hand away. "To hear tell, you're rarely here any more yourself. Thought you'd moved in with Kingsley." Regulus has the gall to look affronted. "We are not married yet. That would be unseemly." Sirius can't stop his snorting laughter, which has the not-unpleasant but not-nice side effect of making little Teddy start to kick from within. He rests his hands atop his stomach, quieting the little one. "And getting knocked up at my wedding is the height of decorum?"

“Could you not?” “What?” “This is hard enough as it is. Without you…” James trailed off, scrunching his nose as he gestured in Regulus’ direction.  Regulus frowned, resting his head back on top of his knees again. Looking away, he scoffed, “This is my dorm, you know? If I smell so awful, then maybe you should’ve stayed away.” ----- In which James getting locked inside Regulus’ dorm room, finally makes them work out the tension between them.

My new fic is out! It is my first time writing omegaverse, but what fun it was!

Prompt: Prompt #4–Character A is an omega making some money as a surrogate. As he meets the couple, he quickly discovers one of them is an old hookup he didn't quite forget, so carrying his child and keeping the situation strictly professional will be a challenge.

Summary: After Remus Lupin finishes Hogwarts, he largely removes himself from wix society. It's a dangerous place for a werewolf omega; he prefers the anonymity and relative safety of the muggle world. But even there, things aren't perfect, and it's hard to make ends meet. As a last-ditch attempt to keep himself afloat and finally finish his degree, he decides to act as a surrogate for a pair of mated alphas. Unfortunately for Remus, he and one of the alphas already know each other well. Perhaps a little too well.

Hi, so I’m not the anon who asked you about Airtable, but I do have a question, if that’s okay. When someone claims a prompt, do you have to mark it as taken (for fic or art) manually, or is there a way to do it automatically? I have options for fic or art, and there are already quite a few prompts, and I'm worried I won't be able to mark them quick enough, and people will pick the same one. 

Hi! Since you sent this to my personal page, I can't tell if you're wanting instructions on how to have airtable mark it automatically (because yes, it will) or if you're asking because of how you want to claim (which should probably be answered on the @marauders-omegaverse-fest page)

So, yes, I have set up airtable so that it will automatically show if it has been claimed for Fic/Art/Other. That is not going to remove it from the claiming form, however, because Prompts have no claim limits! (Per #7 on the Rules).

We did this for @hpknotfest, and I've done it here, because even if two people claim the same prompt, it is never going to look like the same twice. You might do a different pairing, or a different setting, but even if that's the same, it's going to be a deliciuosly unique fic/art. So Pick your favorite and claim when you're ready!

I’m so here for this event. The purpose is to flood AO3 with A/B/O works so that AI scraping ends up full of omegaverse.

I realize we are months away from our submission deadline, but if you have something ready intended for @marauders-omegaverse-fest and you want to post in for @knotinmyname fest, then I encourage you to do so! Here’s the modifications I’ll make to our fest so you can do this:

Post to both collections. @knotinmyname ‘s collection is listed above, and you can find the @marauders-omegaverse-fest collection here. Send me a message on this blog and let me know you want to be included in the push.

When you post, make sure this one is not limited to registered AO3 users - that will defeat the purpose.

If you post your work between now and June 18 with both collections and message me, I’ll reveal your work between June 12 and June 18. I will also post it to this blog, just like I will the other fics in September.

I will reblog your work again in September during our official posting period.

“Humour me, Remus.” James protests, fingers still caressing the crown of his head. “You and I both know I'm not stupid–”

“I've never said that.”

“-and that I can smell the fear in you.” He finishes despite Remus’ interruption. “So?”

“I don't– Uhm.” He hesitates, worrying his lower lip for a second. Maybe he can lie and avoid it all. Maybe he can move to the other side of the town and ask if his parents would take him during this whole thing and just avoid it until he knows for sure that there's nothing to worry about. Just a couple of weeks, until the Moon, when his period will come and he will know for sure. It's a brilliant plan, flawless and nobody will ever notice and– “I think I am pregnant with Sirius' baby.”

- or. Sirius and Remus share their cycles. After a month, Remus starts suspecting the small possibility of being pregnant. Can two friends go through the whole pregnancy and raise that baby platonically? Will the feelings they have for each other interfere somehow?

Worst Fandom Takes I've Seen:

Damn this is difficult. there are so many shit takes floating around hmmmm let's start with the easy ones.

Twinkification of sirius black. ranted about this on my blog already so i'll keep it short. it sucks. also fun fact, i used to be a total marauders fanon fan until the butchering of sirius' character (+ the rise of jegulus). So really, it was just sirius’ character assassination that made question fanon marauders. Remus fanonization hasn’t bothered me till quite recently lol.

That sirius and Remus are soulmates. Like they’re literally my otp,, but they’re not perfect for each other I’m sorry. They’re probably better with other people (Dni remadora stans tho). Buuuut, that’s part of the reason I like them so much!! Because they’re so shit for each other. People who say their soulmates often sugarcoat their relationship and get mad when ‘actual�� wolfstar depict them as ‘toxic’

Regulus was forced into being a death eater by friends and family. Bffr that boy had a Voldemort mood board. His parents were probably more concerned for him lmaoo
