and yeah exactly, regardless of my feelings about his parents, draco is going to have very complicated feelings about them!! especially as an adult, like i'm an orphan so i've never experienced this but i know there's a shift at some point where you feel like your parents aren't really responsible for you anymore (and in some cases that might be a good thing, e.g. draco's case) but you kind of feel responsible for them and have to manage that. and what draco has to manage is a mostly-retired murderous henchman who needs him to dig a grave, etc.
