The Concert a mascot short story

It was a beautiful day in Mcdonaldland, Ronald and Asterea were watching the Golden Roast soap opera, while Cherry, Sundae, and Coco were playing checkers. Suddenly the doorbell rang, Ronald went to go answer it. Once he opened the door, there were quite a few familiar faces.

There was Jack The Clown, who now wore a rainbow business suit and had a green moustache, Small Fry, who was now a teenager wearing a pink and yellow hoodie and preferred to be called just Fry now, The Marvelous Magical Burger King, whose hair was starting to grey a bit, and Kid Vid, who was now a teenager.

"Uncle Jack, Uncle B.K, Fry, K.V, what brings you here?" Cherry asked.

"Hi Cherry, we were going to talk with your dad about a concert that's coming up." Kid Vid said.

"Oh gee, I never would have guessed it." Sundae snarked, looking at the electric guitar Kid Vid was holding.

"A concert? How exciting! Who's going to be in it?" Ronald asked.

Jack cleared his throat "Well, we got most of the mascot bands, like The California Raisins and The Sugar Bears, and The Archies have also agreed to be in it, but The Shakes have gotten sick and we're asking for your help." His voice sounded a lot like his Uncle Trilby's voice, only slightly higher.

"I would like to help, Jack, but Mcdonaldland hasn't had a band for a very long time, but I can easily substitute." Ronald said.

"I'll join too." Asterea added.

"Mom, Dad, can I join?" asked Cherry.

"Ronald, Asterea, I'm not so sure that might be a good idea, Cherry loves helping others but she's very shy and I don't think it would be a good idea to let her preform on stage in front of several people." Coco spoke.

"Hmm, she is right, Ronald." Asterea noted.

"Please?" Cherry asked.

"You can join, Cherry, and we can help if you get too nervous." Ronald said.

"Alright!" Cherry exclaimed.

Ronald called up Hamburglar, Birdie and Grimace to join the band.

Soon it was time for the concert, and Cherry was very nervous.

"I knew this would happen." Coco said.

"Me too. Why Ronald said yes is beyond me." Sundae replied.

"It's okay, Cherry, I know you'll make a great singer." Ronald said.

"And a lot of us musicians got stage fright when we first got our big breaks. We got VERY nervous when we first got on TV." A.C. spoke, intentionally leaving out the fact that he and the other raisins got flattened by an anvil and had to be hospitalized in order to not scare Cherry.

"Stage fright is pretty normal, even I get it every once in a while." Kid Vid said.

"Ok, I will try to sing!" Cherry exclaimed.

She got on the stage and sang "Sing" from Sesame Street, and the crowd applauded!

"You did great, Cherry!" spoke Jack.

"We're all so proud!" added Asterea.

"I knew you could do it!" Ronald said.

"Thanks Mom, Thanks Dad, Thanks Uncle Jack!"

Meanwhile, Fry, Marvelous Magical Burger King, Coco, and Sundae were chasing The Noid in order to stop him from ruining the pizza Domino's had provided for the concertgoers.

Thankfully, Kid Vid used his remote to stop The Noid.

"Drat!" Noid said to himself.

"Ok everyone, refreshments on me!" Ronald exclaimed.

"As long as your ice cream machine isn't broken or if you're serving the Mcdonald's Lobster, I'm fine." Jack teased.

"Oh, don't start that again, Jack." Asterea scolded.

Cherry laughed.
