shit that hisoillu do in my opinion (literally bullshit that make me laugh, they're clowns)

So, yeah. This present prompt is only made of headcanons (I'm tired, and also writing a fic would have felt like overwriting the manga, so... I'm not doing it, nuh-uh). But it feels like this list should be yelled into the darkest and coldest nights just to hear wolves howling their laughs, asking who these idiots are. Me and @lumizold always talk on the phone and yap about them, and the result is always very funny.

So, 15 hisoillu headcanons (and one is a gon headcanon in disguise).

hisoka has a specific way to smile. he really looks like a fox. illumi can tell the difference between his normal smile and his fox-like smile. he loves more this one.

illumi is always SO mad at hisoka. it's not like he has not a specific, or good, reason. it's just that hisoka's like a cat: he's so troublesome. he first drops a flower pot (he killed too many people during their mission, what a waste of energy), then his needs became too needy and makes someone angry (fell in love with gon, killua, gon, gon, freecss, and again, gon. illumi's so done with this shit).

illumi has a car. he drives the car perfectly (or at least, without crashing the car, but he does not follow the rules). he does not have a license.

hisoka has not a car. he does not drive the right way. still, he has a driver's license. how?????

when the police stops him because he's speeding, he likes to give the officer a playing card from his deck transformed into a driver's license. when the officer notices that the license has a strange texture (too thin, too flexible...), he's already slamming on the gas pedal and speeding away, taking from the police's hands his card with bungee-gum. illumi loves the sudden rush of adrenaline (they do it only when they're together).

hisoka has only two decks of cards. first one, the deck of cards he has since he managed to buy (or steal?) one on his own. the second one is a gift from illumi, took from a house in which he committed a murder. this one is for playing solitaire only, and the back of the cards is golden.

hisoka doesn't need to buy new decks. he just need to use bungee-gum to prevent anyone from stealing cards or destroy them. also, he loves using his solitaire deck for magic tricks. but only when illumi's not threatening to burn a card. or when killua's not trying to tear one. or gon's not trying to eat one.

gon is hisoka's curious boy. he loves to explore the world... by putting everything in his mouth. cards included. he thinks they could taste like bubblegum, like hisoka's aura. hisoka does not appreciate it. neither does illumi. because that's ILLUMI'S gift. that's not gon's lunch.

hisoillu think about their future: illumi's thinking to try and be a better brother to killua, so... bonding time. (probably he'll trying to take alluka again, killua's not having it). hisoka and gon just watch them and play together. so bonding time. hisoka's trying to have a family by stealing these two. illumi appreciate the thought (worst that could happen is killua short-cutting hisoka and illumi taking all of his money (he loves his marriage)).

while at home, hisoka does lots of bullshit pretending to be silly funny (illumi actually laughed once so he's trying to ride this wave until the next scolding).

illumi keeps saying to hisoka that, with his incongruent and blunt manners, is slowly becaming a total clown.

hisoka tends to reply that, if he's a clown, the zoldyck family definitely should accept him... because they're a total circus.

illumi instantly replies shit abruptly, annoyed.

hisoka keeps being smart aleck.

no one really knows how, they always end up making out wildly. no. it's not specified where. no. is better not to know.

A/N: Feel a bit confused? Worried, even? Good. You should be afraid, especially if you've managed to date this weirdo.

-First of all, Hisoka has is the biggest ass in the history of asses.

-Do not expect him to be a gentleman unless it's a very special occasion, like your birthday or an incredibly formal event, because this narcissistic mother fucker is anything but.

-He uses all your makeup even though he has plenty of his own, and doesn't even bother buying new ones for you when they run out.

-Never helps you do any housework unless you beg him to.

-Is always commenting on everything you do, from your current outfit to what you decided to cook for dinner. It's upsetting, it's angering, and the as you endure it, it becomes endearing.

-Drags you shopping every weekend and spends hours staring at all the stuff there, probably thinking about which overpriced jar of unnecessary junk he's going to buy.

-You end up having to sneak the items out whenever he's not looking to avoid paying a fortune at checkout.

-Wakes you up in the dead of night just because he can.

-Takes ZERO accountability for his actions and just gaslights you into thinking it's your fault. Whether you fall for his manipulation or not depends on your mental strength.

-Let's you paint his nails and do his hair, though, so that's a plus.

-An additional reward for all your suffering is complete and total access to his body, whenever you want.

-Always smells like bubblegum, but it's unclear whether that's because of his bungee gum (which has the properties of both rubber and gum) or some kind of perfume.

-Is your one stop shop for all the latest tea. This bitch somehow knows exactly what's going on in every corner of the city, especially when it comes to events near or at the public schools and/or playgrounds. Makes you think, where does he go all day?

-You'll never get a clear answer from him because any attempts to confront him end in frustration.

-However, Hisoka's not a dense little cabbage, he knows when he's taken it too far. Should you ever show signs of being deeply negatively affected by him, he'll do something to reassure you, be it through a cozy movie night with just the two of you, or a...rather passionate evening.

-He loves taking you with him on long walks, even if you end up getting lost in the process.

-The longer you date him, the less awful he gets. Whether you've just gotten used to him or he's started truly opening up to you is anyone's guess, but one thing is for sure: no one else gets to see him the way you do.

-Some will say you're a fool for continuing to be with a weirdo like Hisoka, others envy you because they want to steal your man. It doesn't matter, though, you love your idiotic clown and nothing can change that.

Hisoka: The Abilities outside Nen

Here's a rant from someone who's been a HxH fan since they were 10 (I'm 20 now)

Hisoka is one of my favourite characters if not my favourite villains next to Illumi. He immediately had my attention when I first saw him. I really saw him as a force of nature, and I loved how unpredictable he was. There would be moments where he came off as a psychotic killer, but also times where he seemed pretty chill. I could never quite figure out what was going through his mind.

These days I think the fandom, which is now filled with Gen Z-ers, have kind of turned him into a bit of a joke (not in a bad way), but I still remember him as the man who held a lot of mystery behind him.

Now there's just one thing I always wondered about him, and that was his abilities. We already know about Bungee Gum, and the fact that it has the properties of both rubber and gum, but I'm talking about before Togashi introduced nen to us.

We know that Hisoka is a magician, but are the abilities the result of bungee gum, or was he truly trained in some kind of trick? Does he have abilities outside of nen? One example I will use is the Zoldyck family. They are super humans, and have abilities outside of nen, like Killua's long nails and being immune to poison. Then there's the Freecss family. Even without nen, Gon was still a pretty damn strong kid, he broke Illumi's arm for crying out loud (I don't think that's spoken about enough). So we the viewers know that there's a handful of superhuman families, so it wouldn't be any surprise if Hisoka himself came from one.

We could say that it's just the 2011 version being creative, but the 1999 version has fun as well. In fact, I'll compare the two.

2011: When we are first introduced to him he burns off a guy's arm for bumping into him. His arms have turned into tiny petals. When Hisoka and Gon officially meet, he disappears into dust every time Gon tries to hit him. Usually, Nen users would blur when they move very fast. Hisoka has a bloodlust moment, and one butterfly becomes hundreds. When he takes the tag from Gon (after he punched him) he makes 4 copies of the tags.

1999: The guy seems to have melted into a wall instead of his arms being burned. Then there's his fight with the knife guy (ep 15, 1999), nothing too special, but it's what happens afterwards. In the 2011 version Hisoka still has the injury on his shoulder, but in the 1999 version he does a trick to make it disappear/heal instantly (most likely an illusion). The butterfly thing doesn't happen.

Not to mention Hisoka's bloodlust. Much like Illumi's, it gives a sense of unease to anyone who is of close proximity to it. Even going as far as to disturb nature. Hisoka is superhuman, even without the use of nen. Unfortunately, we don't see more of his 'magic' in the anime.
