hello, Tumblr.

guess I'll start from the beginning.

hi, I'm Josh, and this is the Yet To Be Confirmed Tumblr. Yet To Be Confirmed is the name of the YouTube channel I started in 2017. back then I didn't really have a plan for it, I just wanted to post random videos, as kids do ig.

the idea of what that simple little account would become was quite literally 'yet to be confirmed'. it's poetic in a way.

2020 onwards things kinda picked up though - I made a lot of """music""", a SilvaGunner fan tourney, among other things. now, Yet To Be Confirmed has become.. not that much more, but it's a lot more than what I ever thought it could be.

now I post a lot of actually GOOD music, along with the occasional lore video. aside from YouTube I also post a lot of artworks, which sometimes get featured in my videos depending on what they are. it's all unbelievably fun. Twitter used to be the place for all of my art, but apparently that thing's going to die soon, hence the creation of this Tumblr. I'm sure you understand.

i just wanted to provide some thoughts on the harper and rosé one first bc its important to me 😌 cus i was thinking abt harper and how in my head and heart of hearts she would be the kid who thought you get pregnant from kissing and i dont think she ever really grew out of that belief. <- this ended up spawning the idea of harper being a sex-repulsed ace and i will die on this hill actually. fight me or die, you die either way actually nvm

Hey! Now that you’re back I wanted to ask about Resident Lover? I remember you were on the team- but then the game came out and your name wasn’t on the dev list... what happened?

I can’t escape this question can I- and for those of you who messaged me, I did delete them in hopes of avoiding this- but I don’t want rumours to spread so lemme be transparent.

No, I wasn’t kicked off the team, nor was I invited back when I left- and they made the right choice doing that. I was not mentally stable. I didn’t take the project seriously, I had jealousy issues, and didn’t take criticism well- I self destructed badly- blew up and burned that bridge to ashes, not to mention what sorta hurt I caused the team.

It did hurt a lot when I saw the game release. I was so upset, and spent so many weeks thinking about “what if I didn’t fuck up”. But there are no “what ifs” in history, we are meant to go through what we do in order to become the best versions of ourselves. The whole ordeal was part of the last push I needed to finally seek professional help. And the fact it still hurts whenever I see it around means I still care and carry guilt about everything that happened.

I’m practicing exposure therapy to try and heal that gaping wound. RE8 has turned my life completely on its head and I don’t want to abandon it- the best outcome will be the day I can download and play the game and find it within myself to genuinely love it with no more wounds to lick- but for now I’m content with seeing it float around every once in a while on my dash.

Out of respect- I hope none of you will pester the devs about this either. They did something amazing, and I’m so proud of what they’ve accomplished. Out of all of them I really miss MJ. They were the best, most hilarious friend- I always thought they were super attractive- and the whole reason the game was possible. Show them some love- idk message them “you’re cool!” for me or something. Anon ask if you have to. Don’t tell them I’m the one who sent you- I think it’ll be funny to just have a whole buncha people messaging them outta nowhere bahaha

And with that I hope this clears it up and stops people from messaging anymore about it. It’s still a sensitive wound I’m working to heal and I’d like to do it at my own pace<3 I don’t regret the experience, I’m in such a better place now because of it. I would love to make peace with my past self and accept the pain as a part of growing.

Until then enjoy me going back to my usual shenanigans before all the shit hit the fan. I’m very excited to draw more Spider Donna and Beneviento Sisters, I hope y’all enjoy it too<3

Digimon Frontier - Episode 29

A very blah episode visually. There have been a few episodes of Frontier that suffer from being too dark and desaturated. I get that that was sort of the point of this one, so it gets a pass.

I'm starting to suspect they designed Sephirothmon like that because he's really easy to draw (just a buncha circles).

Notes:

I didn't realize that when they defeated Mercuremon they didn't defeat Sephirothmon. Guess it's kinda hard to defeat someone when you're inside them.

They totally ruined Sephirothmon's design with those giant, red lips. Now he just looks stupid. Also, his evil laugh was really annoying in this episode. He's dead to me (on top of being actually dead lol).

It's kinda like...did anything even happen in this episode? It was just one big battle I suppose. The gang experimented with combined attacks and then had flashbacks about being afraid of the dark. Takuya realizing Sephirothmon's weak point was very Zelda boss battle lol.

Wonder how long we'll have to wait for the rest of the gang to get a double evolution? Considering the first two were lackluster, I guess I don't really care lol

Although I'm mad they gave Sephirothmon candy lips, he was effectively nightmare fuely when he was wiggling after them in a tunnel. No thank you...

Shopping Spree Goes Awry

Author's Note: In the original version, MC, Levi, Asmo, Beel, and Mammon are the ones that go out shopping for materials for the costumes for the school festival play. I am swapping out Beel for Simeon. The main reason is that I want to further explore the relationship between MC and Simeon, and I'm using the next few posts to do just that.

Also, wouldn't it be fun to know what the angel was thinking?

Leviathan has invited MC and me to go downtown with him to pick out materials to make the play's costumes. Ever since he accepted that I'm the original author of The Tale of the Seven Lords, he has wanted my opinion on every little aspect of his designs.

I should find it endearing that Levi looks up to me that much, but instead I just end up wishing that he trusted his own instincts. I've seen pictures of his cosplay, and he does an excellent job recreating the character's energy.

Of course, our party of three quickly has turned into five. Asmodeus insisted that he tag along, and Mammon just showed up out of nowhere. Levi considers them intrusions, but I for one am glad that they joined us. Their presence will prevent anyone from commenting on how silent I am.

"Hey, check out that lingerie shop!" Asmo exclaims. The mannequins are dressed rather tastefully. The one in the center catches my attention. Both the fit and color would suit---

No. You cannot think about them that way.

"We're buyin' stuff to make costumes, not fill your wardrobe with a buncha junk!" Mammon replies. "Besides, why do you need skimpy underwear like that?

"As an actor, I need proper inspiration."

"Why am I not surprised?" MC asks. "What sort of 'inspiration' are you hoping to draw from wearing lingerie under your costume?"

"The type that make people fawn all over me." MC rolls their eyes.

"You're hopeless."

"Levi, didn't you say that you needed lace for the costumes?" I ask, wanting to give Asmo a legitimate reason to go inside. Levi absentmindedly nods his head, and I send Asmo on his way, instructing him to drop off any relevant material in his brother's room.

A few minutes later, we pass something in a shop window that makes Levi gasp.

"What is it?" MC questions.

"It's the super rare Ruri-chan themed Cup Cuties capsule toy machine!" Levi nearly shrieks. "It's full of little Ruri-chan figurines that you attach to the edge of a cup, and they're super adorable!" Before anyone can stop him, he rushes into the store, presumably to buy the toy machine.

"My brothers are a pain in the ass sometimes," Mammon mutters. "I mean, I understand why Asmo would get sidetracked, but Levi? All he's been doing for the past several days is brag how he gets to make costumes for the great Christopher Peugeot, so you would think he'd take this shopping trip more serious, but no, he has to prioritize his stupid anime over something actually important."

"Are you meaning to sound like Lucifer?" I playfully respond, which causes Mammon to glare at me.

"The temptation was too great for him to resist," MC adds. "You out of anyone ought to relate." It's interesting that they mention resisting temptation, because right now the desire to take them and---

You need to behave yourself.

"Yeah, yeah," Mammon remarks, not really paying attention to MC. "Has Levi sent either one of you possible designs for these costumes?"

"I have sketches," I answer. "They're saved on my phone." Mammon looks over my shoulder as I pull up my photo gallery and swipe through the screenshots I took of Levi's sketches.

"I actually know of a few fabric shops that might have what you guys are looking for," Mammon states once he's seen everything. "They're not in a super glitzy part of downtown, but the people that run them are quite knowledgeable in costume design. Just show 'em the pics, and they'll do the rest."

"What's the catch?" Once again, another dirty look from Mammon.

"Just because I'm a demon doesn't mean I always have bad intentions." Mammon looks over at MC. "I've seen how much stress you've been under, and I wanna help ya make sure this play goes smoothly, that's all."

"I appreciate it," MC replies. "Simeon, are you okay with Mammon taking the lead for a bit?"

"By all means. He's the one who knows where these shops are."

The three of us are on our way to the House of Lamentation to drop off the multiple bags of fabric in Levi's room when we get stopped by someone clutching onto Mammon's leg.

"Papa!" the little one yells, looking up at Mammon.

"Huh?!" Mammon cries out in shock.

"Papa Mammon! Oh, I missed you sooo much!"

"Isn't that one of the number twos?" MC whispers, leaning over to me.

"You mean the little demons?" MC nods their head. "Looks like it."

"Oh, Papa, I don't believe you!" Number Two continues. "Wandering off and getting yourself lost like that! You're supposed to be an adult! I can't leave your side for one second, can I?"

"Why are you grabbin' onto my rear end?!" I allow myself the pleasure of pulling out my phone and filming the situation unfolding in front of me. Upon seeing what I'm doing, MC shakes their head, clearly not approving of my actions.

At the moment, I don't care. This is just too funny.

"MC!" Mammon shouts. "Pull this thing offa me!"

"Okay, Papa."

"Don't you start!'' Suddenly, Number Two gasps, and before anyone knows it, they've leapt into MC's arms.

"What's the big idea shovin' me away like that?! I almost fell over!"

"Oh Papa, you're so silly. One minute it's 'get off me', and the next it's 'don't push me away'. Really, what am I going to do with you, Papa?"

"Alright, Number Two," MC tells the little demon, patting its head. "I think you've given Mammon enough of a hard time."

"Number Two?" I quietly quit filming and stick my phone back in my pocket. "You're that tiny demon that hangs around inside the Demon Lord's castle, aren't ya?! What're you doing wanderin' around here?" Number Two clasps its hands together.

"Oh, I'm so glad you asked! So, here's what happened: Lord Diavolo and Mr. Lucifer left the castle on an investigation, you see. So I went with them, but then we got separated, and now I can't find them!" The mere thought appears to put tears in its eyes, although I can't tell if they're genuine or not.

"Well then, why not just call 'em on your D.D.D.?"

"He might not have it on him," I tell Mammon. "He may not even have one at all." Number Two turns its head to look at me.

"For your information, I do have a D.D.D., and I do have it on me, but the battery seems to be dead!"

"So, you have no way of contacting them," MC concludes. Number Two shakes his head. "Do you remember where they were headed?"

"The traveling carnival!" There's a traveling carnival? I don't remember seeing anything advertising it, unless I'm so oblivious that I missed it. That is possible.

"Why are Diavolo and Lucifer investigating the traveling carnival?"

"Well you see, they heard this rumor that the carnival is actually a front for an illegal casino!" Mammon looks like he's seen a ghost. "So they decided to go there to find out if it's true."

"We'll help you find them."

"Really? I'd be so grateful!" Mammon definitely knows something about this illegal casino. He's a bit too shifty-eyed to be innocent. His rambling seals his fate.

"You know, I totally forgot I've got this thing I've gotta do that's really important, and I still have to drop these bags off to Levi, so I'm not gonna be able to help you find this illegal casino--not that I know anything about any illegal casino, of course, but anyway, you three can just head to the carnival without me, and we'll catch up later."

"And just like that, he's gone," MC observes.

"I don't mean to be accusatory, but I think he knows about the illegal casino."

"You don't say?" MC looks amused, as though I'm the last one to reach this conclusion.

"Don't you have a pact with Mammon?" Number Two asks MC.

"Yes."

"Then why didn't you use it to make him stay?"

"I want him to think that he's escaped punishment for a bit. It'll devastate him that much more when he realizes we knew from the start." I know that demons have a tendency to rub off on humans, but that doesn't entirely explain the glint in MC's eye.

"In any case, we have to make sure the little one gets reunited with Lucifer and Diavolo," I state, changing the subject. "Which means that we need to head to the carnival."

whats your hot take on fanfics? love your writing btw

awe thank youu 🥹🫶🏾 and idk if i’d consider them hot takes but imma list them down anyway!

1. proper format matters to me. something about a fic written in a buncha colours and strictly in bold/italic fonts sectioned in big ass paragraphs is so unappealing to me! a cute aesthetic draws attention too.

2. quality>quantity. i seen some posts talkin bout how they don’t get why drabbles and shorter sentenced posts get more attention than their lengthier fics, which is stupid to me cuz why would someone want to read a damn book with a poor plot over something simple and sweet with an idea straight to the point ??

3. 6k words and over fics aren’t bad at all. me personally i love a lengthy story!! captivates my attention and helps build a storyline which i love (i do it myself) <3

4. let people write what they want !! yes, even the completely questionable ones, they show true colours anyway. let people write what they wanna write and if you don’t like the content then scroll or block !!

5. “we need a part two!!” “let’s see _ in part two” is disrespectful unless the author stated somewhere if anybody was down for a second part. it gives off ungrateful and ion like that.

6. sometimes too much dialogue ruins a fic. it needs a good ratio.

7. imagery is so underrated !! this point kinda follows with point 6 cuz a writer will be so focused on making interactions between characters but won’t write about the setting or positioning of said characters.

8. and lastly, just because a fic has a lotta notes or receives a lot of attention don’t mean it’s good 🌚. same thing with fics who get less notes,, swear those be some of the best fics too !!!

Their name is Saki (Spider Name being Sakumo) and she is a cat-themed Spider-Person bc she was bit by Spider-Cat which travelled to her dimension by accident (which means she classifies as an anomalyyyyyyy oOoOoOoOoOooo)

(also idk how that'd work logically so i've just boiled it down to Spider-Rabies. IK IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE I'M STILL WORKING ON IT)

Anyways the real Spider-Man in her universe is actually her brother, Jinx!! (Who I also have a reference for!!! The character belongs to my friend, Sleepy-Jinx but idk if they have an account lol!!!)

alright this has been sitting in my wips for weeks and it was gonna be a ref sheet but I sort of already did one so /shrug

some stuff that will probably contradict itself bc I’m bad at writing AND!! bad at continuity. but here’s A LOT of story/personality stuff.

while on Irk in the “early years” whatever you wanna call her smeethood until whenever she gets banished, Callie gets away with small things that other Irkens wouldn’t get away with simply bc she’s Tallest Miyuki’s…idk…protege? she’s expected to be as powerful and successful as she is.. especially after Miyuki dies in the vort station 9 accident

by small things I mean wearing an outfit that doesn’t fit normal Irken-in-training or Irken Elite standards (she’s elite right before being forced away from Irk). and stepping out of line when talking with her peers and ESPECIALLY when talking with those taller than her. and befriending Vortians while observing the research teams. she gets away with all of this bc if someone were to speak up they’d get in trooooubleeee

Callie can be very cheeky sometimes but doesn’t necessarily take advantage of her unwanted “status” while on Irk. things like hanging out with the Vortian scientists and dressing slightly differently than her Irken peers are very normal, to her at least. it’s fucked up Irken society that doesn’t allow anyone else to converse with those filthy Vorts or wear whatever they want.

Despite thinking differently - and of course knowing early on that this means she’s defective - Callie feels a ton of regret and anxiety when she’s banished for going against the new Tallests’ plans for her. she knows deep down that it’s fine to be your own person and make your own way, but again, ✨Irken society baybeeeeeee✨ and she carries that anxiety, well, forever after that.

(I basically always skip the Earth portion of Callie’s story bc I wrote it when I was 14 and it was bad and stupid. All you need to know is that Callie REALLY LOVES EARTH. yes this doesn’t match the vibe of the show at all but who cares: she learns that being herself and engaging in her true interests and goals is ALLOWED and even ENCOURAGED on earth and her anxiety ebbs away while she lives there. then she dies. oh well. as to who’s fault that is, it used to be Zim’s fault in my old story but I just HAVE NOT visited this enough to work out why/how that would even happen.)

Her human disguise was a design I used to draw ALL THE TIME in 2005 and even a bit in 2019. good times! she dressed very grunge/emo which is how I dressed in high school bc of course!!! of course she is more of a self-insert than I WANT her to be and always was!!! AUGRHHRGGH

After Callie is revived by the Resisty - attaching her dormant PAK to Nyx’s dying body - she looks like the bottom left pic. wears a beat up hospital gown all the time, still has a good amount of Nyx’s attributes, and is HIGHLY irritable and actually, really fucking dangerous. she’s aware that she’s Callie, but is experiencing some serious trauma: this isn’t her fucking body, she’s in severe pain and has to eat and sleep while her PAK tries to heal her, and she’s been ripped away from Earth where she finally felt safe and happy away from her old, demanding life.

She nearly kills Lard Nar at least once, trying to convince him to bring her back to Earth. the rest of the crew thinks their captain has completely lost it allowing a mentally unstable Irken on board. or really an Irken at all for that matter considering uhhh the whole reason the Resisty exists in the first place. Lard Nar tries to get his crew to understand that Callie is not a threat (knows this bc they knew each other on vort research station 9) and would be a great asset to the resistance once she recovers

but yknow it’s not going well. Callie is NOT NICE to anyone on the ship, least of all Laksa, the nurse trying to help her recover, and a lot of this has to do with the fact that Nyx’s attributes are still present. Callie’s defective PAK, while mostly functional, is taking ages compared to a healthy PAK to make this new body completely “her” again. I mean, side note, Nyx was a model Irken: so uh, ASSHOLE. and did her job well, nearly getting the Resisty killed. so having all of THAT basically still present…..hmmm, bad.

Luckily Laksa has endless patience and Callie does start to recover, and her eyes start working their way back to just blue as opposed to the one blue and one teal when she first woke up. looks like the bottom center pic. she starts to calm down and fly off the handle way less. Starts appreciating Laksa for all the work she’s tirelessly put in to make sure Callie is okay. she’s still really far from ok and processing all the trauma from her past and present.

that’s where all the angst happens that I’ve been writing oops we won’t get into THAT (something something callie and lard nar eventually end up as a couple bc I need to live my life sorry guys. I’ll talk about that uhhhhh ANOTHER TIME…or never.)

and finally after all THAT that we won’t talk about for the moment she’s much better, lost her right antennae and is essentially deaf on that side but is otherwise back to her old self but BETTER!! last pic on the right. someone made her a new uniform or something idk but she does want to dress the way she used to in the end. (does she or does her creator just really like drawing it so she has to? we may never know)
