Jolteon?

Under no circumstances, ever, bathe a Jolteon. The static electricity in their rigid spines is enough to cause serious harm if it is able to ground, both to you and them. Instead, give them a child’s swimming pool full of fine sand and let them roll around in it. This works a lot better for them and ensures they don’t cause any harm. Try to avoid letting them out in the rain as well, there’s a few places you can get pokemon ponchos for emergencies.

Otherwise, they actually don’t give off as much EM as a lot of Electric-types, but if they walk infront of your TV they’re going to warp the image. There was a popular meme on Vine for a while of using them to mess with news broadcasts this way.

I got tagged by the always wonderful @magnusglows (my sister in all the best ways) to post 10 random facts about myself and tag 10 followers.  Which sounds like fun ... so of course I forgot to do it.  But, I finally remembered, so why not~!  Will put it under a cut since this is bound to be long.  But before that, I tag ... anybody who wants to do it honestly.   @riahawk did you try this one yet, I can’t remember.  Maybe @bumblebeeflower​ and @grumpyoldsnake​ if either of you have the time?

1 -  I look a lot younger than I am.  Like, people regularly assume I'm half my age.  The same is true of my half sister and our mother … who can't work with technology but has a knack for all things nature and healing … basically what I'm saying is my mom's a changeling.  

2 - I had my mom teach me the basics of knitting only because I couldn't find things I wanted in shops.  So the first thing I ever knit was a brown and pumpkin orange gigantic scarf with pockets in it.  I've since then taught myself more advanced knitting techniques and how to crochet and now sell the things I make to other people as my 'job' so ….. yay?  

3 – I've written a novel.  In fact I've written multiple novels.  Not fanfiction that happens to be that length either, original stories. I've tried to get one published in the past but couldn't find an agent for it, and now that I've had a few more years of practice … ya it's not that good.  But I'm currently trying to get a new one published that I think is a lot better.  I'd like to get at least one book out there some day.  

4 - I love to bake.  Love it!  A lot more than I enjoy eating the things I bake.  So, making something to share with somebody else that they really enjoy?  The best.  Before we switched to secret santa, my big holiday gift to my family used to be baking a table worth of all their favorite sweet things and letting everyone just take what they want in to-go boxes. (cake freezes surprisingly well btw)

5 - Between my figure collection and the fact that I refuse to get rid of a book that I enjoyed, I'm in eternal need of more shelf space. My room has two full small-ish book shelves (with things stacked up to maximize space) and two floating shelves that I installed myself that are covered in books.  And that's still not enough, because I have yet more books stacked up on a dresser and my comics in a few drawers. (I also refuse to get rid of or do anything bad to stuffed animals.)

6 – It's not just books that I hoard, I'm an absolute packrat.  If there's something that might be useful, I stash it away (and I've actually made some cool props and costumes with those scraps).  To say nothing of the stuff I 'properly' collect.  My favorite collections are my crystals, pocket watches, fanart pins, and antique keys.  (Also my net name is pronounced 'key' because of my fondness for them, so, bonus thing you didn't know~)

7 – Growing up (and this is still mostly true), I did not like hamburgers.  Or ketchup.  Or most potato chips.  Or barbecue.  Or sweet tea.  I'd go to picnic events with my parents and be called 'unamerican' by people because all I could find to eat was a plain hotdog with no bun and some lettuce.  Who says that to a kid, honestly?  

8 – Sometimes I work with a local comics co-op.  Mostly I do lettering and borders for some friends but my art has shown up in one of our anthologies too.  Which are printed and sold at a comics shop where we have our meetings.  So, it is possible to buy a book in a legitimate store that has my art in it.  Which is kind of intimidating now that I've put it like that …

9 – I can do accents, character voices, and animal sounds.  It's a fun hobby that I like playing with, to the point that I've done character voice readings of things like video game text for friends. I'd actually really like to do voice actor work some day but sadly I don't own a decent mic.  Hopefully I'll fix that soon … because there's a project that Ria and I are discussing that I'd honestly love to do.  

10 – I've gone through way too many 'names'.  Okay, let me explain. My parents called me by a nickname taken from my middle name.  I got fed up with it over time because my middle name is a bit unexpected so everyone would call me the wrong thing.  Then I had some issues in college with my nickname being mistaken for my legal name, which made things awkward.  So I went by a different nickname taken from my first name (or just my legal first name, which I use for anything 'professional').  But then I came back to my home town and things just got more complicated.  The name I go by now, when I have a choice, is just my initials, which I actually like best because it’s simple, fun, and nb-friendly.  But for the most part I just let people call me whatever they want.

The Undying Retirement Home (and all the people working there are undyne.  terrifying, but i bet she can lift like 12 old people at once!), Monster Mash, and Dust to Dust  (morbid, but appropriate)

Haven Park and Sunset Lodge

tabascosugar suggested “Toriel’s Home for Elder Abominations” which is very good and mildly insulting to the people who live there which I like, but it unfortunately doesn’t fit

And @bumblebeeflower and undertable-sins came up with names that Asgore would pick:

Old Home and Retirement Home

Both of those are perfect for something Asgore picked, but I am leaning towards Old Home if I go the Asgore route because it does just kind of casually insult the people living there, which I really enjoy
