The final showdown with Bular occurs a similar way in canon but it's a rematch for Kanijar. It goes better for our Trollhunter as he now has a new fighting style thanks to Jim's help than just more time. Bular's forces are blocked off from trying to activate Killahead Bridge.

You can say a 'Diamondhead wall' kept them at bay. Kanijar defeats Bular this time as the Gumm-Gumm Prince is washed away in the currents. Fate unknown.
