*Life Update. As a lot of you know my mental health has been very up and down lately. I have been diagnosed with other mental health issues as well as the BPD, and whilst it explains so much, it’s also a lot to take on. I’m normally quite open about it all too, but for now whilst I continue to process and adapt, I won’t be sharing. I mean, Initially I was relieved to have the diagnosis, but soon after I was full of dread at the realisation of how bad my mental health was, and is, and how much I mask and hide away, which ultimately always leads to catastrophic meltdowns, and self sabotaging along the way of course. Now, I kind of understand why I do this, I understand the impulses, and the deep emotional pain that I feel, even when sometimes it doesn’t even feel warranted. And it’s not because I am broken. But with this new understanding of myself, I can continue to work on what’s important for me right now. I thought that was just self care. But today, after MONTHS, I ended up in the studio and pinned some insects, not because I had too, not because I needed to catch up on work and commissions, because I wanted too. It felt so good. So cathartic, and instantly I forgot about all the horrid feelings I had felt for the past few weeks. At this stage i feel it’s important for myself not to stray too far away from being creative, whilst trying to maintain a healthy work life and fun balance.
