16 for your KC?
thanks so much for asking!!
How well do they play mechanically with their romance, if any? If not, which party member do they synchronize best with?
in the days of yore before respec mod, Tamarie existed in constant competition with arueshalae and wenduag for the best bows i could find which is just. bad. nowadays i usually have tamarie specced into bows and arueshalae as an estoc eldritch scion DPS machine, which i found a lot more fun for me. the crit range they both get and being able to give everybody outflank/seize the moment because of Azata & Inquisitor stuff is really great also
cernan's a heavy hitting frontline tank, and wenduag gets respecced into kukris, both of which work fantastic together. then after that, Mongrel's Blessing happens and legend happens and a pre-buff +30 BAB happens and cernan just solos encounters.
mordren & daeran don't have any particular synergy, it usually because she doesn't need a bunch of healing before picking up transformation, and i always* build daeran as King Healbot/Buffbot, so there's not much else for him to do. as far as all the other companions go, she goes well with arueshalae (New! Court Poet Edition) in acts 3 and 4 for that sweet sweet INT buff, and then in act 5, aspect of Nocticula is just. its way too good. ill set her up with the demon aspects built for martials, pop aspect of nocticula on greybor or wenduag, then change her stuff to whatever. cannot be understated how fun it is, demon is an incredibly versatile mythic path to play as.

the recent D&D movie understands that the modern stat interpretation of bards as buffbots is dumb and not at all fun to look at
(okay, MAYBE they could have worked with the comedy value of the chipper bard strumming along ‘Bravely Bravely Ran Away!’ to accompany scenes but it’s not very heroic)
unfortunately official D&D will never give me the bard class that I actually want, even if the movie was much closer to it
(Too tired to make sense of my bard explanations at the moment, but... basically a social-specialist trickster with high lore knowledge, a talent for improv, and almost no actual combat ability. My idea of a bard, in melee, pretty much has to rely on taunting an opponent and dodging the anticipated attack, thus tying that guy up from hitting anyone else and, if really lucky, managing to make the opponent accidentally hit someone on its own side!)

In cyberspace again...
Daniel: "Any more questions?"
Tina: "One question: Still interested in joining the raid? Given that you just shot Gavin, we'll have to postpone it to a later date, but you and I could clear the area in front of the cave right away."
Tumblr media
Daniel: "Gladly, if I had the slightest inkling how to get there. I usually log into the starter area and off again. I don't know how to travel in this game."
Tumblr media
Tina: "Let me explain... Here!"
Tumblr media
Daniel: "Whoa, that's some detailed scenery! Different from Jakku. I can't tell what is part of the background and what will jump at us any moment."
Tina: "You'll get used to it. Now lay some buffs on me, so that I can set a new kills per hour record!"
Daniel: “You want me to stand around for an hour, occasionally caressing your shoulder? No way, lady! Not even an android would have that much tolerance!”
Tina: “Ours at work stand around even longer.”
Daniel: “Well, then borrow one of those next time you need a buffbot! - Oh, a giant frog!”
Daniel: *shoots*
Tumblr media
From that day on Daniel played with his new friends whenever he could find the time. At first the other three were merely accessoires for Tina, but after they caught up and knew what they were doing, they matured into a force to behold.
Daniel called himself Mel, the kid playing the droid went by RK800, Tina was Jaina_Jade and Gavin SithLordIDWAF (it stood for “SithLordIdontWantAFuckingNumberBehindMyUsernameImNotAnAndroid”, but had to get shortened). Other than Darth Idwaf’s and Jaina’s real world first names and the fact that Tina had a job of some kind, they knew nothing about each other.
After all, it didn't matter. But one day it just might...

Hewwo :D I got Lisa’s skin too and was wondering how you went about building her? Maybe Alhaitham too? ^^
hewwo anon ahhhh her new outfit is great! my lisa does not have a very practical build. she’s using 4 instructor’s with ttds, so she’s passing 40% atk and 80 em and 15% def shred with her burst. she wants a lot of er to burst consistently though, like 250% if you have fischl, closer to 300 if you don’t. mine only has 155% LOL but you can give her fav codex instead of ttds to help with that. her other stats outside of er don’t matter to me since she’s used as a buffbot
i put my alhaitham’s build under the cut but in terms of artifacts you’d want 4 deepwood if no one else on the team has it, or 4 gilded if someone already has deepwood. however, 4 gilded is not too far ahead of 2 em 2 em so if you have better substats on the hybrid set you should go for that. also i highly recommend a decent amount of er for him like ~140 if you have nahida, more if you don’t. not related to his specific build, but i highly recommend running him with a shielder/xingqiu because they help him not get thrown around which is nice because his mirrors don’t last very long and you will lose out on a lot of damage if you can’t capitalize on his max mirror stacks. but ya hoped that helped!

Soon I can start my first Pathfinder:WOTR playthrough and thinking about character build. I want to make wanderer/outcast with an animal companion. Currently narrowed classes to Hunter (base, divine hunter, divine hound), Druid (base, feyspeaker, drovier), nature Oracle, Sylvan Sorcerer. I dont want main char to be pure buffbot for pet but some buffs are nice. She will be either caster or range melee like pike or spear, something like that.
I like nature oracle but Ember is already with "Blackened" curse and I wanted to take it for my char so it will be awkward. If i go oracle then probably pick "Plagued" curse. Divine hunter is interesting because of "otherworldly companion".
Race is practically any medium humanoid, but probably go with someone with elven proficiency.

I don't know of any Guides already extant but assuming you're not playing in a hard mode (because if you try to do hard modes without minmaxxing everything you will just die):
Martials are generally much lower-babysitting than casters, especially if you don't care to muck about with buffs (although if you're up for modding, I do highly recommend the buffbot mod for making that considerably more painless; if you drop a whole stack of buffs on everybody before combat it makes a lot of builds dramatically more forgiving).
A couple levels of something martial can make a caster passable with a weapon surprisingly quickly in lower difficulties, and that takes a lot of the micromanagement out of it.
You don't really need a dedicated healer in easier modes imo. Spec Daeran for buffs, Sosiel for melee, and Ember for rays and the channels are usually plenty.
I generally find it to be more satisfying in low-micromanagement runs to aim for always-on or toggleable powers/benefits- things like Weapon Focus, Dodge, animal companions, and sneak attack damage make your guys more effective all the time instead of only if you remember to click the right buttons in the right order.
Two levels of rogue gets you evasion and sneak attack dice. This is great for Seelah (who has a terrible reflex save and a thief backstory) and Wenduag (who often makes a lot of attacks a round and is kind of roguey in general nature anyway).
One or two fighter levels is often worth it for the feats and for making people better at swinging their preferred weapon. If you can spare five for Weapon Training, better yet - I like to do this for Sosiel and Greybor, and it might work for Woljif too but I haven't tried and suits him less well vibeswise. For Woljif I think it's possible to jump straight to Eldritch Knight and that feels pretty consonant for him.
Magus wants a little more clicking to use to best effect because of Spell Combat but they can also be pretty good at just hitting things. This works well for Arue and Woljif. Nenio also makes a surprisingly good Sword Saint although this is admittedly somewhat less in-character unless you, like me, think it's breathtakingly funny to imagine Nenio being all "[elle woods voice] What, Like It's Hard?" about melee combat.
Barbarian levels make a person much sturdier very fast at low levels and at high levels you can get mythic infinite rage which is fun. I really like this for Camellia because it feels so on-theme for her.
Ember casts spells real hard. Traditionally you give her one level of crossblooded sorcerer, fire element and a fire-type dragon, and then carry on with witch-ing; I found the best way to make her low-effort was to give her the staff of infinite burning arcs you can buy in act 2 or 3 and set that as her basic attack, and before that she can plink away with Divine Zap whenever you don't need her to do something else.
In my opinion Daeran's entire plot design is sort of fundamentally disconnected from his combat capabilities anyway and so you can build him as whatever you want. The set-and-forget-est of them are probably the ones who go for the mythic bonus mystery (Nature) and acquire a melee-focused animal companion, so Daeran himself doesn't even really do anything in combat except stand around (and probably complain about dirt getting under his fingernails, bless) and then heal everyone when they're done.
... also while I was writing this post because @dataandphilosophy summoned me to do so, QTesseract helpfully wrote several precision build designs which I can now link for you: https://pastebin.com/F29nUzip (Lann); https://pastebin.com/MUnXQAhp (Seelah); https://pastebin.com/yXcPZanH (Daeran); https://pastebin.com/Tntwg3pb (Nenio); https://pastebin.com/XwcH3SMr (Woljif). love when friends.
you can find a ton of build guides for Wrath of the Righteous online, but I feel like there's a real gap in the market for the kinda stuff I really want to see?* Which is:
I don't care about Epic Min-Maxxing and I especially don't care about it if it means I have to babysit everyone in combat all the time - what is the search term for "builds that are okay-ish and basically run themselves so I can focus on whatever weird shit my MC has going on and maybe one or two spellcasters while the rest of the party just sorta Does its Thing"? -related: are all these people playing on turn-based mode the entire time? maybe thats the missed connection here...
I want it to focus - both in the build design and how it write about it - on how it feels to play, not on how many kajillions of damage it does. I want it to work, obviously, but it doesn't need to be The Best - Pathfinder however is full of ways to absolutely fuck up a build so you do still kinda need build guides for this, especially since the experience of play is often far from obvious based on the info the game does give you.
For companions, I want it to vaguely 'fit' them. Like that posh bint is always gonna be talking about the spirits and there's actually a bunch of classes that might work with that but there's some that definitely won't - pay attention to this.
I'm not sure why I have to say this but apparently I do: I CARE ABOUT THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE OF THE GAME, NOT JUST ABOUT HOW IT WILL PLAY AT LVL20! if the best thing to do would be to respec something when I hit lvl20 then sure I'll just do that. i don't care about achievements.
*At least in what I've found, please link me if you know of any!

@spacesharkadventures replied to your post:I’m really excited for Classic WoW.
remember that there’s no LFG and that mounts cost a fortune and that you cant even play certain specs on certain classes because they’re completely unviable
Yes, exactly. This time around I won’t be a noob about not knowing how to farm. I plan on rolling a Hunter for my main, because I want the pain of having to lvl a new pet up and also ammo. I also was that asshole who played a Shaman as Enhancement in PvP when it still had ranks to earn so FUCK THE SYSTEM. :3c

And here we meet Ember’s “B Team” that I’ve been using to rip through chain challenges.
I don’t actually have HCs for my cavalry team yet since Xander left it, except Ephraim still has a very real fear of flying books and Sigurd pretty much just rides up in front of him, everything bouncing off him like water like “I got this, bro.”
These two aether bois are always trying to one-up each other, Marth is very frazzled running around having to reposition these idiots while thinking about a wedding he’s never actually going to (until I have a better green cav), and Priscilla loves her upgrade to harmedic Kiran gave her a little too much. I wholly blame the ally S support with Ephraim for being such a bad influence on her.
“Again Ephraim?” Priscilla yells, racing over to where he’s just pulled his lance out of an axe wielder limp on the ground. She waves her staff over him, trying to avoid treading on the dead body as he gives her a grin.
He’s got that gleam in his eye that means trouble and that she should ride behind him, but at a reasonable distance. There’s still the skirmish Sigurd seems to be holding his ground in, and Marth fighting another unit nearby. She’s not sure exactly where Ephraim is leading the two of them until she notices more units have suddenly appeared on the battlefield, flanking them from the sides.
Most of them are heading towards Sigurd.
Gripping Siegmund tighter, the teal-haired lord looks back at Priscilla once before giving a signal to his horse to charge.
“Hey, Priscilla?”
“Yeah?” “Watch this, princess!”
“Ephraim, no!”
Alas, shes’s so used to healing the boys she’s lost all semblance of bedside manner.
Honestly, I would too. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to DC bait a free kill with Ephraim and oops got him killed or watched him solo a map while the rest of the team is just there looking at each other confused. We’re still working on it.
