So, several things happened:

I watched Hazbin Hotel and loved it. I especially loved the angel designs.

I wanted to create an angel character/sona.

A good friend looked at one of my angel sketches. I gave the angel stripes on her face, like multiple eye slits. My friend said it looked like budgie stripes.

My beloved pet budgie died on this exact day two years ago. If heaven exists, there is no way my baby boy isn't there.

Nowadays Valentines day is a grief day for me, where I want to think about my baby.

This is how I cope as a pet parent.

TW: SICK BIRD & PET DEATH ;-;

In loving memory of my Budgie, Frisk. He passed away due to his Megabacteria conditions suddenly worsening rapidly despite the medication he was still on to help him... My mother (who also lives in the same house) took Frisk to the bird vet hospital while I was overseas to see if they could further help him.

A day after I had arrived back home in Australia, My mum and I got a call from the vet saying that his conditons have not improved, but we could go to the vet/bird hospital to say goodbye to him one last time before he crossed the rainbow bridge. When we got there, it was absolutely heartbreaking to see the condition Frisk was in, he was incredibly frail and thin due to the megabacteria, but chirped when he saw me.  I was lucky enough to hold him in a towel one last time and pat his soft feathers while telling him how much we all loved him for an hour before the vet helped him crossed the rainbow bridge and the suffering he had to endure from the megabacteria finally ended..

This was certainly the hardest thing to come back too, Frisk was such a lovely bird, he’d always sing whenever someone walked through the door and would always be a great companion when I worked on art peices on my animation desk. The house is a lot quieter without him now and its weird but also very sad. Rest in peace Frisk, We’ll miss you so much, you’ll always be our Special Rainbow Baby Budgie Boy <3

Drew a sort of memorial piece for my sweet little angel, who passed away yesterday. I had him for only a few months but he greatly impacted my life with the amount of love he had in him, ready to give it to everyone. I'll forever miss him 💔
