ASOIAF American highschool AU bc I want them to suffer
-Jon is that guy you see in the hall all the time and he’s super cute but then you talk to him and he’s just. The most pretentious asshole you’ve ever met. He’s better than you bc he takes AP classes btw. And he’s on the basketball team but he’s brooding so he barely has any friends
-Dany is a little FREAK ugh I love her. She’s a GSA officer and wears weird clothes and cat ears to school and everyone makes fun of her but she’s the nicest person ever. Very passionate ab her special interests. super smart too like no one can say that she isn’t top of class
-Sansa is the nice popular religious girl who likes to make cookies for people. She’s like condescending nice though and is sweet to the losers mostly out of pity. Obsessed with Loras in a comphet way to cover her real crush on Margaery. She is on the swim team and loves to run the student council like the navy
-Arya is on the soccer and basketball team. Slightly to weird to be popular but too cool to be a loser. Kind of disruptive in class but it’s okay bc she’s funny. Definition of a low maintenance girl. Cuts her hair short and likes the way she looks in a sports bra and baggy clothes but has yet to find out what non-binary is
-Robb Homecoming King football captain you get the gist. Sincerely nice and is the one jock who’s on good terms with literally everyone in his classes. Tries his best to defend Jon (it is so hard) Has dated around but his most intense relationship is with his drug dealer burnout bestie Theon. They get jealous when the other starts dating a girl (both of them have yet to find out what bisexualism is)
-Joffrey is a grade A bitchass. He’s on the soccer or lacrosse team only because Cersei bribed the coach. No one really likes him but they hang around him anyway because he has a sick ass house and his moms hot. Thinks he’s smarter than he actually is, maintains a C- average
-Bran is that freshman you only see in khaki shorts and graphic t-shirts about bugs or some shit. Completely lives in his own world (autism slay!) and has trouble interacting with other kids. Besties with Meera and Jojen tho who just get him. Reads big ass philosophy books in his spare time
-Aegon is Dany’s cooler cousin. He’s way more popular than Jon and the two have a one sided rivalry that Jon made up in his head. Pretty nice to other people but he thinks he is such hot shit. His superiority complex is kinda crazy
-Theon graduated last year but still hangs around campus. Goes to Robb’s football games and sells drugs under the stands. “Where’s my hug at” guy. Drives a beat up Honda civic that’s on its last legs. Has multiple misdemeanors on his record. Robb thinks he can fix him
-Loras is Robb’s teammate who’s also mister popular. Already has a scholarship to a D1 school and is every teachers favorite (he takes advantage of this to skip class). Smart but doesn’t really try that hard in class. A classic DL gay guy who is in a situationship with grad student Renly after lying about his age on grindr
-Davos is everyone’s favorite History or English teacher. Gets invested in the students wellbeing. Gay kids LOVE him, he never can have a lunch period to himself those kids who are looking for a father figure are always eating lunch in his classroom. Has a loving wife and kids but is down bad for the eternally suffering Vice Principal Stannis
-Robert is the football coach and in most American schools you have to be a teacher to be a coach so he probably teaches health or sex Ed or some shit. Half asses his classes so he can go over film with his football players instead. You can hear him yelling from across campus. He is so loud
-Stannis is the vice principal who absolutely no one likes except Davos. Even the teachers don’t respect him. Has wanted to be principal for years but keeps getting fucked over by administration. Wants to move to a different school district so he can get a pay raise but the sexy Spanish teacher Mel is trying to convince him to blackmail the school board instead
-Tywin the principal. Used to be a AP US history or AP economics teacher but then discovered that he hated kids so he bullied and bribed his way into the principal position. Kids run when they hear him in the hallway with his walkie talkie crackling and his keys jangling. Lets Joffrey get away with everything bc he’s the principals grandson
-Cersei as the head of the school board. Always shoveling funds to her kids school instead of any of the other ones in the school district. Probably is in some sort of tax evasion or bribery scandal that Tywin is trying to cover up. Number one passive aggressive hater on Facebook

Out of curiosity, who are your favourites and least favourite characters in both GoT and HotD (beside Aemond and Aegon)? Do they have anything in common and what's important for you in a character to like them (and dislike or hate them)?
Love your blog, btw, it's a great consolation to see that there are people who share my opinions on this disaster that HotD turned out to be.
Good day/night!
Thank you for the ask and for the compliment😊
As for Game of Thrones, my absolute faves are Margaery and Olenna Tyrell. The former is more diplomatic, the latter is less apologetic - and I love it, just as I love their intelligence, wit - and innate sarcasm (tempered in Margaery's case but it's still very much there). I also love Lannister siblings and their imperfect but unbreakable bond (not a Jaime x Cersei shipper though).
Least favourite character? Probably, Bran. I don't hate or even dislike him - somehow I don't feel anything for him. The Three-Eyed Raven persona fell flat for me - and the lack of emotion I feel for a character outweighs hatred (that I feel for Ramsay or for Euron Greyjoy) when it comes to naming my anti-faves.
In House of the Dragon I love the entire TG (if only the show had given us the loyal and united family, tied by blood and by choice, that we wanted). But if I am to pick someone, then I'm choosing Helaena, a gentle and sensitive soul that belies a sharp mind (it does feel to me that she is way more than her prophetic abilities).
My least favourite HotD character is, I think, Rhaenyra. I just can't forgive her (to be more precise, the adult version of her) the passiveness and lack of actual personality - she is the protagonist (and the clear hero of the series in spite of all "there is no right side" talk from showrunners) for crying out loud.
So, it looks like my favourites in ASOIAF TV shows are clever or tragic (or both) and my anti-faves are pieces of furniture:)
In general, I tend to gravitate towards characters who possess both intelligence and not even necessarily a good heart (although at least a capability for goodness is needed) but the ability to experience deep feelings. As for the qualities I find repellent in fictional characters... Well, beside the lack of personality and them being plain boring, I suppose its hypocrisy, inconsistency and tendency to apply double standards - at least if these flaws are not balanced by virtues mentioned above:)
Once again, thank you so much for this ask!

without crown:   I read an absolutely lovely series of posts today on reddit about the Stark children and their bonds to their direwolves (highly recommend checking it out yourselves here).
It makes me absolutely want to tear my hair out thinking about just how much Robb ignored all the warnings Grey Wind gave him and how that cost him everything.
On the one hand, Robb is maybe the Stark with the best handle on his connection with his wolf and with his warging - these two are insanely in tune, Grey Wind knows exactly what to do with the most minute of commands, they fight like they're linked, like they're one. Maybe all that is because Robb is older and most of a natural leader out of them, so he might understand better than the younger siblings like Bran and Rickon what's happening and how to navigate the connection. BUT THEN on the other hand despite this he deliberately cuts himself off from Grey Wind and his instincts.
I think the reasons are twofold. Of course he gets lost in the politics of it all, something he was never good at. He has manoeuvered himself into a corner he can't get out of anymore after that fateful honour-bound decision to marry Jeyne, so what is he supposed to do with the fact that some Westerlings are scared of Grey Wind, or that he hates the Freys? He can't act on it while trying to navigate already upset sensibilities. So cognitive dissonance kicks in and he tells himself it's because he's a direwolf, because he doesn't like water, because because because, all reasons that don't confront him with what might really be going on, because if he did, he would have to act accordingly, and that would burn even more bridges. (Cognitive dissonance is also why he thinks he's in love with Jeyne btw.)
And then we should consider that him cutting himself off from Grey Wind coincides with him hearing about Bran's and Rickon's "deaths". His two brothers who had their direwolves with them - and they didn't (or couldn't) protect them. Which, of course, isn't true, but he doesn't know that. So in the weeks after, whenever he looks at Grey Wind, he's reminded of it, and it's another way his own head plays a trick on him and comes, unconsciously, to another wrong conclusion - that at the end of the day, Grey Wind can't or won't protect him either.
He's wrong on both accounts, and dies for it.

Ok so actually my biggest problem with the whole “Daenerys will burn KL” theory—not even the Mad Queen Dany theory, which is of course very sexist for obvious reasons, but just like, the idea that Dany will ~accidentally~ ignite the wildfire in the city, burning it all to the ground. That, at first, doesn’t sound that bad, but the longer I think about it the more I hate it because tbh it doesn’t do anything for her character? And also… that fate for her is just down right cruel.
Like, the most frequent argument I see on why this would be at all satisfactory for Dany’s arc is basically that it would be a sort of lesson for her about the dangers of unchecked power and the real threat the Dragons can pose on humans and that she shouldn’t use them to fight against other people. And that’s all well and good, excellent message… except that’s not something Dany’s ever really needed to learn? Not anymore that her fellow rulers, which I will touch on more detail later, but in general Dany has seen what the abuse of power can do. Starting with her conflicting feelings regarding Viserys and how she recognizes that even though he was her brother and she loved him, he also abused his power over her as her older brother, her only family and her king; she feels guilt about the atrocities Drogo committed to the lhazarene and tries to help them; she feels so much guilt about not handling things correctly in Astapor that she decides to throw away all her plans to go to Westeros and instead stays in Meereen.
And about not knowing the true danger that her dragons can pose? I mean, this is the same girl that literally agonizes across several of her ADWD chapters because Drogon killed a child, and then takes the extreme measure of caging Rhaegal and Viserion to prevent that from ever happening again. I think she’s at least a little bit aware that the dragons can be dangerous, thank you very much.
Ok so this got long...
Anyways, the only time Dany legit uses Drogon to harm someone and not just as bluff was at the house of the Undying, where she was being attacked, and in Astapor… and like, lmao, that asshole Kraznys mo Nakloz and the rest of his slaver buddies deserved it. Don’t at me. Also, Dany’s hardly the only one with a big magical and deadly beast at her disposal, why didn’t Robb had to go through some horrifying traumatic incident to learn he shouldn’t use Grey Wind in battle to tear his enemies’ throats. Bran will be learning about the dangers of abusing power, but that’s linked to his magic powers and an actual reprehensible thing he’s doing, not the use of his glorified prehistoric dog to kill, which he’s done, just like Robb. By all means let the narrative hold Dany accountable for her mistakes… but her actual mistakes and not shit she has no control over, because she doesn’t have much control over Drogon or the other dragons even though she’s trying to, and that’s very obvious in her last ADWD chapter where she’s delirious and Drogon could kill her at any moment, and she knows that.
The other big argument people make for Dany burning KL (even if it’s by accident!) is that it will teach her about the price of war, that someone as young as her shouldn’t be leading armies and conquering kingdoms, and that fighting for the Iron Throne is not a worthy cause, and I feel like that misses the actual point of her story by a mile. First of all because a) Dany is hardly the only teenage ruler in the story and b) this is a fantasy medieval story, a lot of the characters shouldn’t be doing the things they do, aaaand yet. Also speaking of other teenage rulers with far more power that they should have—Robb and Jon, being the biggest examples.
Granted, Robb and Jon aren’t exactly successful during their time as rulers, they’re literally betrayed and killed by their own men (even if Jon will technically come back for round 2 of bullshit he’s too tired for). But the moral of their stories is not that they lost because theirs was an unworthy cause and they were stupid kids wholly unprepared for their roles. And I actually partially agree! They are just kids, including Dany, and they shouldn’t be responsible for looking after so many others and going to battle, but their cause is still just and worthy, even with all the mistakes they make along the way. Robb didn’t loose because he was wrong in demanding justice for his family or trying to protect the riverlands from the Lannisters and their minions, he lost because Tywin Lannister was a giant coward who couldn’t take him out in a fair fight.
Likewise, it isn’t wrong of Jon to try to incorporate refugees from beyond the Wall into Westeros. He’s not too stupid and honorable to do politics like his father (how I hate when people insult Jon and Ned like that), and while he did some very obvious mistakes that inevitably ended in a coup and in him dying, this is more connected to his inability to let go of his ties with his family (mainly Arya or who he believes to be her), and in isolating himself from his friends and the people he could actually trust.
I’ve always thought that Dany and Jon share a parallel narrative within the story, so while Jon is struggling with that Dany is faced with similar problems. She cages her dragons, that to her represent the only family she has left, and she tries to compromise with the slavers, marry a man she doesn’t love, pretend she’s ok with reopening the fighting pit. While she tries her best to rule wisely in Meereen, it all comes at the cost of betraying herself and her beliefs, so it’s no surprise when it all crashes around her and she’s betrayed and nearly killed. Ironically, it is Drogon who comes to rescue her.
If they are monsters, so am I.—Daenerys II, ADWD.
This is hands down one of my favorite Dany quotes from the whole series, and I hate that it’s been given such a negative connotation in the fandom, when for me it represents Dany’s humanity and compassion at the fullest.
GRRM has a knack for humanizing the ‘monsters’ of his story, for showing the good in the outcasts and the ugly and the scary. He embraces their ‘otherness’ and makes them the heroes of his stories; Arya, Bran, Brienne, Dany, Tyrion, Jon, Theon and many others are all compared to monsters or beasts at one point or another in the books.
Dany sees herself in her dragons, literal monsters in every sense of the word. Later on she faces Drogon inside the pit, and in that moment you could say that she accepts that ‘monstrous’ part of her, and in doing so she’s saved from her fate of dying at the hands of the men who would crucify innocent children and gleefully profit off of the suffering of their fellow human beings while watching them fight each other to the death for their own amusement. Now tell me who’s the real monster in this situation.
But shortly before that happens, Dany is able to see the humanity in Tyrion, an outcast who has been branded as monstrous and unlovable due to his disability all his life, a man who has come to believe in his abusers’ rhetoric about him so strongly that he’s started to act cruel and detached. She saves his life. She sees value in his life when few others would, because she cares.
I’ve always find it funny that the “dragons plant no trees” is—another—example fans use to argue in favor of Dany’s descent into Darkness™ because the actual scene goes like this:
You are a queen, her bear said. In Westeros.
"It is such a long way," she complained. "I was tired, Jorah. I was weary of war. I wanted to rest, to laugh, to plant trees and see them grow. I am only a young girl."
No. You are the blood of the dragon. The whispering was growing fainter, as if Ser Jorah were falling farther behind. Dragons plant no trees. Remember that. Remember who you are, what you were made to be. Remember your words.—Daenerys X, ADWD.
Now am I the only one who finds it at least a bit relevant that it’s freaking Jorah Mormont aka Jorah the Enslaver whom Dany’s subconscious, at her literal lowest moment, utilizes to represent this particular thought, which btw I’ve always interpreted as Dany’s own self-loathing manifesting in her, and this is something she’s actually always struggled with—the idea that she’s not enough and she’s failing. Because above all things, even Westeros or the Iron Throne, what Dany wants is peace, she wants to plant trees.
When Dany made her descent, Reznak and Skahaz dropped to their knees. "Your Worship shines so brightly, you will blind every man who dares to look upon you," said Reznak. […] This match will save our city, you will see."
"So we pray. I want to plant my olive trees and see them fruit." Does it matter that Hizdahr's kisses do not please me? Peace will please me. Am I a queen or just a woman?—Daenerys VII, ADWD.
But of course the world doesn’t work like that, and so long as there’s Jorahs and Tywins and Eurons out there, men who would take the freedom of humans and submit them to their will, Dany can’t have the luxury of peace, just like Jon can’t have the luxury of belonging and family so long as there’s people still beyond the Wall who need his protection.
And I think that’s fine. It’s fine that Dany failed, it will help her develop as a character and realize that there’s no room to compromise with slavers, the metaphorical monsters of the story who do far more harm than the other more literal ‘monsters’ of the story. So that when she has to face down Euron Greyjoy—who btw, there’s a high chance he will end up stealing one of Dany’s dragons via Victarion using Dragonbinder… y’know, as in enslaving one of her children and using said dragon to inflict god knows what horrors, yet not many people ever consider this for some reason?—she will know. When she has to face down the Others, the magical ice fairies with no regard for human life, she will know.
That’s why I believe that it would make absolutely no sense for Dany to have to go through such a tragic and traumatic experience like burning a whole city even by pure accident, over something that’s either never been a problem with her character or she’s well into her way of learning anyways, so it would just feel repetitive. As I have pointed out, she’s already reached one of the lowest moments of her arc. Not saying there will be no other blows for her, and probably the destruction of KL will be one of them, and knowing Dany she will feel responsibility over it no matter what, but that doesn’t mean she has to be the culprit, intentional or otherwise.

I have a genuin question but do you think that Sansa will become Queen in the North? I'm not sure anymore what her endgame will be in the books (the show doesn't count for me)
This is kind of a… sensitive topic, because there are certain people who will call you “anti-Sansa” if you answer anything less than “absolutely” to this question. The only reason this is a touchy conversation in the first place is because of the show.
So… I have not seen the final three episodes of the show. I only found out about the endings through other sources. The show doesn’t count for me either. None of the show endings for the characters made sense.
I dislike all of the show characters, and that includes Show!Sansa. I don’t like the storyline (something I share with GRRM), I don’t like the personality, I don’t like the costuming, I don’t like the way the actress was directed, I don’t like the ending. I hate how people say that “Sansa got the only good ending”. ?????? That ending is a horrible ending for Sansa. Alone in Winterfell, completely separate from her family? How the fuck is that a good ending? No. “Sansa becoming Queen in the North no matter what” is not the only “good ending” for her. I talked about this here.
And this isn’t to say I think it’s impossible for Sansa to end the story as QitN, I just think it’s improbable. Based on the current text, this is my ranking for who’s most likely to be ruling Winterfell/House Stark at the end of the story:
1. Bran (Will most likely be king, but we don’t know what exactly that means. What state will Westeros be in after the Long Night? I talk about that here.)
If (and that’s a big if) there is a separate leader of House Stark who isn’t Bran:
2. Arya (Already has an extensive amount of “leader of wolves”/”leader of the pack” symbolism. Her direwolf is named for Nymeria, a famous queen. Arya, through her wolf Nymeria, is a “queen of wolves”.)
3. Rickon (Bran’s heir, next male in line.)
4. Sansa (Eldest trueborn child. Has a line that people believe is foreshadowing for her show ending happening in the books.)
5. Jon (Named by Robb as his heir, although the will was written under the belief that Bran, Rickon, and Arya were dead. But just don’t think it would fit his story.)
(Also, we could definitely see a Pevensie siblings style ending, where they are all the Lords and Ladies/Princes and Princesses. Wish more people would talk about that. Could definitely see GRRM being inspired by that.)
So, the line that people refer to the most for “Sansa will be queen” theories is this:
"The only way to keep your people loyal is to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy."
"I will remember, Your Grace," said Sansa, though she had always heard that love was a surer route to the people's loyalty than fear. If I am ever a queen, I'll make them love me. (Sansa VI, ACOK)
It bothers me because people tend to ignore the real importance of that line, and what it’s actually saying about Sansa as a character, as a person. The purpose of that line is not to “foreshadow that Sansa will definitely be queen”. The line ties into how Sansa believes “everyone wants to be loved”, and is hopeful in love, despite everything she’s gone through. It shows that Sansa believes more in the power of love than in the power of fear. She is not letting herself be influenced by what Cersei is trying to teach her. She doesn’t want to be like Cersei.
Which is not something that show!Sansa does. It’s been a long time since I saw the show, but a moment that sticks out in my head is where show!Sansa tells show!Jon that wildlings “have to fight for them because they owe Jon their lives”.
……..
Jon’s plot in ADWD involves him becoming the leader of the wildlings over time, as he earns their trust and support. He becomes their leader at the end of Jon XIII because they follow the man, and he has proved himself worthy. Not because they “owe” him something. Show!Sansa uses fear rather than love to secure loyalty. “You owe me your loyalty” rather than “I’ll earn your loyalty.”
Show!Sansa is a completely different character than Sansa Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire. Show!Sansa became the QitN, and that means absolutely nothing for the real Sansa.
Basically, I, as a book fan, feel no obligation to say that Sansa will be Queen in the North just because I want to stay on good graces with toxic show stans.
And no, I do not predict that Sansa will end the series as the Queen in the North. That doesn’t mean I’m against it, it just means I don’t see it happening. And if the show had never happened, this question would not be nearly as controversial as it is. Like, I feel the same way about saying “Sansa won’t be queen” as I do about saying “Rickon won’t die” or “Jon won’t be exiled beyond the wall” or “Cersei won’t be killed by a brick”.
TL;DR: I never thought about Sansa being queen until season 8 happened and everyone made it a debate. I don’t think she’ll be queen, the books don’t give me that implication.
(Also… Sansa would still be royalty, btw, she’d still be a princess. I don’t know why people treat it like she’d be a nobody if she isn’t queen at the end. She’s still a goddamn princess. She’d still be wearing a crown.)

Anime! Fictional! BTS x Real World! Reader- Welcome To My World~ Episode 1
HEY HEY! IM SO EXCITE! Btw who here plays BTS World? This is very loosely based off that.
I need to download it again tbh.
CHECKOUT MY MASTERLIST HERE!
Leggo!
...
What does it mean to escape? To get away. If it means leaving behind all you know, all you’ve been raised to know, all you’ve been led to believe, with just yourself and the clothes on your back. Scary, but thrilling. Terrifying, but inviting. Unbelievable, but definitely possible....
...
On a early Tuesday morning where the sun was barely grazing the orange sky, you sat by your windowsill. You were dreamily staring out into the halo that was a mixture of red and orange. The halo of greyish clouds matched your mood to a complete tee. The aesthetic beauty of nature wasn’t enough to make you smile or even blink twice, however. It was always like this though. Yet something about this scene made you go sour.
Releasing a sigh, you stepped away from the window, shutting the curtains. Another day, the same thing. All you could do was attempt to power through.
As you lazily pulled your shirt over your head, you had managed to dodge that annoying dog. The little brat wasn’t even yours, but your oh-so loving step-sister’s. He always had a affinity for making your room a hot mess.  Only yours in particular.
“Get out of here you little-.” you chased the dog out of your room, slamming your door as it scurried off. “What did you screw up this time?” you curiously scanned the room. Everytime that little fluffy beast rammed his little head into your personal space, something would end up broken, ripped, shattered, or completely destroyed beyond repair.
You almost screamed when you saw a familiar book cover on the floor. You instantly dropped to your knees, praying to yourself that it wasn’t true. The cover had a pretty violent looking rip along with the first few pages.
Your absolute reason for waking up in the morning was tarnished. A signed cover of BTS Universe Issue #1. Probably your one and only favorite series on planet Earth. You gingerly picked up the book, trying to inspect it with hopes that the damage was minimal. As little as this was, you almost felt like crying. However there was no time, you needed to tape up the pages and fast! Who cares if you missed breakfast.
...
“Morning Y/N!” Your step-dad greeted you in the kitchen. “You were upstairs an awful long time, I was about to send your mother to see if you were still up playing that game of yours!” he smiled warmly.
“Thanks Mr. Chai.” you replied politely. “I’m sorry I’m so late.”
“You know...Y/N...you could call me Dad.” he set a plate down on the table. “I know I’m not your father, but I want to be the best father-figure for you because I know...you haven’t really had that.”
You had to stop yourself from saying anything else. You haven’t had the best parental relationship, and your new step-dad really was trying. Maybe it was just his daughter that drove you nuts.
“Thank you.” you replied, smiling. “...Dad.” you winked, making finger guns. “Geez! You made a lot of food for just the four of us”
“ Well you ain’t see muffin, yet!” he winked. “You and Nari have a busy day today. She auditioning and you, my friend....well I don’t know exactly what you have planned for the day.”
“I’ll tell you if we can skip the food related puns.” you sat down at the table. It was a rule that everyone waited for everyone else. Even though you had taken the extra time to repair your copy of BTS Universe, you had seemed to be the first person down the stairs. In all honesty, you were just going to hang out at the comic store until Nari called to tell you she was done.
“Hey now, Donut kill my vibe!” he continued, laughing. “I have a million more of these, come on. Don’t go bacon my heart, Y/N.”
“Good job Y/N, you’ve gotten him started.” You mom came down the stairs in her little blazer and pencil skirt. “Whatever will we do now.”
“He did it himself, the guy’s an animal! You married a wild child, mom.” you joked. “He might just be a serial killer.”
“Don’t you mean...cereal killer?” he held up a box of Raisin Bran to make his point. You could only shake your head as your mother and step-father laughed together. Food related humor so early in the morning had to mean today wasn’t going to be a horrible as it started, at least for you.
“WHERE ARE MY THIGH HIGH BOOTS!” you heard a screech from upstairs. “THEY BETTER NOT BE IN YOUR ROOM, Y/N!”
“...WHY WOULD I WANT TO WEAR YOUR SHOES!” you yelled back after taking in a deep breath. “NARI, IF I WANTED TO BREAK MY ANKLES, I’D HAUL MYSELF DOWN THE STAIRS.”
“When will you two get along?” your mom shook her head. “It’s been three years.”
“We don’t not get along.” You shook your head. “Not my fault she’s difficult.”
“I can think of a few times you’ve been difficult yourself, young lady.” you mother pointed a stern finger at you. “Like when you locked yourself in the room to read that silly cartoon of yours.”
“It’s not silly.” you defended yourself.
“Oh come on!” Nari’s voice voice could be heard alongside some loud footsteps. “I think it’s cute to be honest. Y/N here actually has a hobby besides stalking celebrities online.”
“Shut up, Nari.” you grumbled. “And keep your dog out of my room! He ruined my signed copy of BTS Universe!”
“Dorie got out again?” she seethed, looking annoyed. “I really have to put a bell on that dog.”
“Yeah.” you sighed, you bummed mood returning. Everyone knew just how much you loved that edition. You kept in in a super special display case, you cleaned the case every week, you kept your other issues on their own bookshelf along with your figurine and digital visual novel editions of the series. You were even on the buyer’s list for the special early anime release. You LOVED this series. Not even Nari dared to disrespect something as important as that, and she loved getting under your skin.
“I’m sure you’ll be able to find another one.” your mother set down a bowl of cereal in front of you along with a muffin. “Now eat, you have a big day today.”
“Yes mam.” you replied, helping yourself to some cereal.
“If you want, you can take a muffin or bagel with you.” your step dad said.
“Dad! I can’t, I have to be super focused remember? Breakfast will just slow me down!” Nari scoffed.
“Not having breakfast will make it even worse, dummy. Dude, you’re gonna pass out on stage.” you threw a tiny cereal piece at her. “Eat something.”
“I’ll eat later, I just have my eye on the prize and nothing is going to stop me.” Nari stood up determined.
“Will you at least eat some toast, crazy girl.” your mother said. “Y/N’s right, you need to at least have eaten something to calm your nerves. Y/N make sure Nari eats something before you two go your separate ways.”
“I’ll try, no promise.” you shrugged. “Nari, if you’re done, then get your stuff and let’s go.” You promptly finished your cereal and went to go back upstairs. “You got ten minutes.”
“What’s her deal?” you could hear Nari ask, followed by an sudden whispering of your mom stating exactly what she thought was wrong with you. Your bet was on ‘everything’.
You walked back into your room, grabbing your purse from your desk. You eyed your taped up issue of BTS Universe #1. There was no way you were going to find another issue like that, and that damned dog just treated it like a loved toy. You grabbed your phone and shoved it into your purse. You went over to where the issue was and placed it on your desk.
“NARI LET’S GO!” you shut the bedroom door behind you as you walked out the room.
...
You sped to a stop outside the building. Nari was shaking in her shoes. She seemed hesitant to even open the door.
“Call me when you’re finished so I can pick you up.” you said, getting ready to unlock the doors.
“You’re leaving me!?” Nari looked like she was about to explode.
“Hello?! It’s idol trainees only?” you raised an eyebrow. “I can’t go in there with you. Nari what’s the problem?”
“...Um...I’m nervous alright! I’m giving up almost everything and if I don’t get chosen...I’ll just prove my dad right. I need this.” she stared down at her hands. “I’m not used to being a reject. I don’t know how you-”
“You wanna leave here with two working legs, I suggest you don’t finished that sentence.” you cut her off. “I’m not a reject.”
“That’s not what I was gonna say. I’m saying I don’t know how you deal with nerves like this.” she looked like she was gonna pass out.
“...You just do.” you nudged her shoulder. “You just go for it and hope. Go for it.”
“...Okay, I’ll try.” she opened the door. “...Thank you.” she stood up. “I’ll call you when I’m all set.” she shut the door.
“I’ll literally be at the store around the corner.” you replied before driving off. You watched in the rear view as she took her sweet time going into the building.
...(Later on)
You trudged behind Nari as she ran through the door. She seemed happy, so that must have meant the audition went well.
“I’m gonna take a nap.” you called to your mom and step-dad. “See you guys at dinner!”
You didn’t wait for them to reply before you closed the door. As you walked over to your bed, you noticed a disc laying on your bed. Just a random DVD. The closer you got, the font on the front got clearer.
“BTS World?” It didn’t look familiar in the slightest. “It’s called BTS Universe, Nice try Nari.” you wrote it off as a stupid prank by your oh-so-loving Step-Sister. It was only then you realized Nari was with you all day.
You took another look at it, gently taking it in your hands. It looked like it was glowing.
Call it curiosity, but you needed to know.
Your laptop was sitting at the edge of the bed, so you put the disc in.
“State your name.” a voice came out of nowhere.
“What?” you looked around in shock. The voice sounded like it came from right behind you.
“Please state your name.” the female robotic voice repeated.
“Y/N.”
“Are you sure that you want Y/N as your name?”
“Um Yes?” you raised an eyebrow. You still didn’t know what the fuck was going on.
“Would you like to start a new game? You don’t appear to have any saved filed under the name Y/N.”
Maybe you were sleepier than you thought, but you ran with it. “Yes.”
“Starting new game....now”
Your screen began glowing a bright blue, a vivid, saturated blue. It was like your screen had turned into a flashlight.
“What the fu-” you suddenly stared at your hands, the very tips of your fingers turned pixelated. “MOM!!!” You tried to scream, only to have it come out in the form on an echo. You felt your feet leave the ground as tiny little pixels moved towards your computer. You could see the color draining from your walls, leaving everything white. It was like an earthquake ran through your room...only through your room.
Then...everything went dark.
...
(Why hello there...LET US PREPARE. I’m gonna go through with it this time, I swear on my bacon! The guys are coming next chappie!)

Antis are so focused on Sansa's lack of moral code & her eventual descension to darkness because of her evil mentors. Honestly, at this point of story ,Arya & Bran are on much darker path than Sansa. We don't know what Jon's mental state will be after ressurection. Antis can argue that Sansa betrayed Ned or didn't support her sister after the Trident but whatever Sansa's morally questionable actions are as perceived by Antis, they are not in anyway closer to her siblings'.
Hi there!
I'll never get it! Arya is learning to be an assassin. Bran's mentor might be the dubious Bloodraven a sort of 'Big brother is watching you' of Westeros. And I just mention Jon's baby swap...
Yet, nobody questions their good intentions and that they will just learn the things they will need for the Starks and probably the whole of Westeros to survive.
And in case anyone questions them, there is always the explanation : they are still young/children they learn. Which is absolutely valid! I expect Arya to learn the virtues of mercy and leave the path of vengeance. I expect Bran to see through Bloodraven and claim his own unique magic. I expect Jon to return darker from his ressurection, but be held in checked by Sansa's beast taming qualities.
Sansa on the other hand... The fact that she is a child is never put forward in her favour. Everybody claims she betrayed Ned to Cersei, when she wanted at first to go to the king but didn't dare and when it was never her intention to betray him. Not to mention that she had no idea about the Lannister plot!
She freed herself from a pickle when she claimed that she did not remember what happened at the Trident (and Arya as well, because in that way, the fact that she hit Joffrey was only his account).
And she actually questions her evil mentors as we can see in her thoughts! 'If I am ever Queen, I will make them love me.'
It really couldn't be more obvious than that. I sometimes think that GRRM is too successful with his POV traps : people fall for the introduction of Sansa in Arya's POV as the 'evil sister' and for Dany's 'abused girl with no agency' spiel.
Both should be re-evaluated and if you look closely, there is plenty of evidence that you should take a second look at least from ACOK onwards!
I am convinced that antis skip Sansa's chapters and just get the gist of it from summaries and that they always read Arya's or Dany's chapter with hero worshipping goggles.
BTW, I'm convinced that all the Starks will have to do something morally questionable at some point, but my guess is that Sansa's action will be less problematic than her siblings.
Thanks for the ask!

I didn't know you're Romanian! That's so cool, it's such an interesting culture! I would love to visit Romania, specially the Brasov area!
Da 😌 (which BTW means yes).
Brașov is a lovely city. And the entire area is absolutely to die for if you love nature. I've visited the city once in my life since it's not really close to my hometown and when I was in the area, I'd usually retreat to the actual smaller towns/villages to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Carpathian Mountains.
I know you probably want to visit that area because of Bran Castle ("Dracula" and all that 🙄). Don't get me wrong, I am a person who absolutely loves visiting castles. I visited Bran twice in my life, and I think it's nice, but my favourite Castle in the area is Peleș. Looks like this:
Tumblr media
Totally different centuries, I know I know but I always thought this one was better 😂. Plus the interior is soo beautiful!

You're a so-called Jonrya shipper full of Jonerys shipper mutuals, a so-called Arya stan who thinks Bran should rule instead of her when she's technically the current Lady of Winterfell and her undead mom is searching for her with Robb's crown while there's two new PoVs (Arianne and Asha) who are both older sisters who want to rule and want to change unfair gender norms. And you think Dany should attack Westeros when it's already torn by war bringing her non-free "free" slave army? You sad loon.
Tumblr media
No “so-called” about it, sweetie. If you have gotten to this stage in your life without realising that people with different opinions, as long as they’re not assholes, can and do get on, then I really don’t know what to tell you except to get your ass to a therapist because you are not a functioning human being. I know making friends with people who aren’t exactly the same as you is a concept your xenophobic ass has yet to grasp, but you should think about it for a second. Maybe then your narrow world view would get just a smidge bigger and you can stop being such a racist.
Btw never come for any of my mutuals I will defend those beautiful babies with my life.
Also, I would love for Arya to rule. I’m just able to be a fan of hers and acknowledge that ruling, whilst a huge part of her story, will not be her endgame. I know you stansas haven’t grasped that concept either, but liking Arya and knowing she won’t be queen are not mutually exclusive. I wish Sansa’s fans were actually secure enough to like her without forcing a crown on her oops 🤷🏽‍♀️
(Lmao @ you pretending to be an Arya stan. Literally no one is fooled 🤡)
I think Dany should and will return to Westeros and claim her crown, as is her right. And her armies are free. They are literally an army of freedmen. The first thing she did was free these people. Her entire journey has been about freeing people. If you haven’t got that yet then get some reading glasses and try again.
Let’s face it, you’re the sad loon for thinking any of these dumb messages would do anything except make me love these characters even harder. Thanks for that you absolute clown!

because it’s been a while since we talked about these two. Kyra and Arlee are… so freaking cute, but also do they technically sorta fall under the enemies to lovers umbrella?? I’m curious. This is also me attempting the crossover ask idk if it’s going well or if I just got really off topic
Kyra and Arlee.... my beloved bbies. I can’t believe it’s been so long since we’ve talked about them, especially since they’re just so amazing.
In terms of them falling under the enemies to lovers umbrella? I’d somewhat consider them that. So if you remember correctly, them getting together is taking place within the AU of Jon and Arleena being raised by the Dawnguards alongside Rhaenys. I haven’t planned out a lot of fine details, but the fact that at least Arleena goes to King’s Landing as another spy of sorts so that the Dawnguards can keep intel on what’s happening is a definite. So the fact that Arleena is from an opposing group and is mostly in King’s Landing for not an ally of the crown, who includes some of Kyra’s family, would naturally put them under the umbrella of enemies to lovers even if it isn’t the full on “oh I hate you” type of thing.
If I were to get specific of the dynamic that I envision for them over the course of the AU I’d probably say that they’re strangers —> friends —> lovers —> estranged friends (?) —> lovers
Okay, now into my ideas for these two within the AU... there is a lot so I’mma put it all under the cut
They meet at King’s Landing after Maecy introduces her new handmaiden named Arleena to her daughter, Kyra. There’s a somewhat instant click of at least familiarity and small connection whatever it is, there’s just something, and momma Maecy sniffs this out instantly
Whenever Kyra and Maecy talk unless it’s super personal type things, Maecy “casually” has Arleena at least nearby. Always ends up with Kyra and Arlee talking, doesn’t matter what or how... it just happens. After a few times of this happening, Maecy totally doesn’t just leave the room and the girls are so into whatever conversation they’re having that they don’t notice that Maecy has left
Eventually it gets to a point where the girls actually seek out each other to talk and get to know one another without momma Maecy making that push
They’re around each other so often that Maecy decides “oh hey, how about Arlee becomes Kyra’s handmaiden instead? I already have a couple and it’s kinda unnecessary for me to have a lot”.... yeah Maecy totally wasn’t trying to set anything up
Kyra totally doesn’t need a handmaiden and has denied needing them in the past but... yknow she ain’t denying this time
It’s less of Arleena helping Kyra with things that handmaidens do and more so them just hanging out
They start practicing using swords together even though both are very good at using a sword... kinda takes Kyra by surprise of how well Arlee handles herself with a sword
Basically at this point, Arleena has failed with her intended mission of being in King’s Landing, but she has genuinely gotten good information but it’s Sani doing a lot of the intel collecting. Poor woman has been doing it for 20+ years but it’s okay
Kyra and Arlee go to the Red Keep’s garden after Arlee mentions her favorite flower which is bellflowers btw to see if the garden grew them, which it did. Kyra picks a bellflower and puts it in Arlee’s hair, specifically weaved in a braid that Kyra herself made prior. Then that’s when the two have their first kiss
Those two have no idea what to do and in all honesty, they don't talk for a while like a few days to a week and it's after Kyra talked to momma Maecy and papa Russal, he's alive in this, yay! who happened to be in King's Landing for a brief time, that Kyra is able to actually confront Arleena
They kiss again and that's when they actually get together
Kyra decides to leave with papa Russal to go back to Tarth for a time, Arleena comes with. Totally just because Arleena is Kyra's handmaiden and not because they're dating now
If you don't believe this is them on Tarth, then you're lying to yourself
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everything is great for a while, they're just two girls in love with no problems
It's when Arleena needs to return to the Dawnguards for reasons that it starts crumbling
Kyra finds out through a letter Arleena has gotten that there's things that Arleena hasn't told her
She confronts Arleena about the letter she founds, and that's when Arleena reveals the fact that she's the daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen, aka the man who nearly killed Kyra's father on the trident
Just a lot is revealed to Kyra actually. Dawnguards. . . the fact that Lyanna Stark is Arleena's mother, that Lyanna Stark is alive, the fact that Maecy was aware of who Arleena really was
Kyra feels betrayed and lied to, even after Arleena explains and tries to defend her actions. Basically too late at this point
Arleena leaves Tarth and goes back to the Dawnguards for the reasons needed
Both girls are just in a not so good point in life
Kyra tries to move on and just continue with her life
Arleena deals with Dawnguard things. . . she totally doesn't end up killing Daltis after she finds out his true intentions and how he's not as good as he's acted, how corrupt he truly was. Arlee becomes leader of the Dawnguards afterwards
It's when Arleena gets intel that Cersei is having a worrying amount of wildfire produce alongside the fact that Kyra Tarth is back in King's Landing that she attempts to return in order to talk to Kyra again
It's because of the argument that Kyra and Arlee get into that saves Kyra, Maecy, and Russal from dying in the destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor
Kyra and Maecy go to the Dawnguards with Arleena after deciding King's Landing is very much not safe. Russal is so fucking hesitant and not a fan with this idea, but he knows how much Lyanna meant to Maecy and how despite the major strain between the girls, how much Arleena means to Kyra
They spend a while with the Dawnguards. It's nice to see momma Maecy happy to see her best friend again, but it's still a bit weird for Kyra and Arleena for a while.
They're kinda friends? It's hard to deny that connection they've shared since the moment they met, but that barrier is still there for how Arleena lied about basically everything
It's when the Dawngaurds head to the North to help House Stark take Winterfell back from the Boltons, and stay in the North to help against the white walkers eventually that Kyra and Arlee head in the direction of becoming what they were
But honestly everything is kinda weird overall, kinda an uncertain time as the North prepares for the white walkers and trying to gain allies to save Westeros
Both girls fight in the Battle of Winterfell alongside the Dothraki, the Unsullied, Dany with her dragons, the Dawnguards, the Northernmen, Free Folk, and a few sworn houses under House Baratheon and ofc any other groups I forgot to mention against the Night King
Kyra and Arlee are both quite stubborn so they didn't resolve anything prior to the battle. . . they totally should have though, but they didn't
It's when Kyra sees Arleena almost freaken die during the battle that she realizes that it's not worth living a life with resentment against people you care about
Kyra saves Arlee from dying and they continue fighting side by side for the rest of the battle, being the badasses they are
They are just so exhausted by the end of the battle that they collapse on the ground together, it hasn't fully settled in the amount of loss that has happened
Kyra and Arleena look at each other while on the ground, and Kyra whispers "I never stopped loving you" and that's when they kiss again for the first time in a long time
Honestly, these two need a break at this point. Between dealing with the losses from the battle and dealing with whatever they have, they deserve a break
But nah, they don't get it, they have to deal with Cersei
The battle at King's Landing alongside the assassination of Dany just adds to the outside burden and weighs them down, but they're working through it
During the great council meeting, both of them are there
When Bran is offered the chance of becoming King of the Six Kingdoms, him with his Three Eyed Raven weird vibes, he denies it and says somebody else is meant to take the place
He's absolutely alluding to Arleena with the fact she was raised to become a leader and all this stuff he shouldn't know but since he's the Three Eyed Raven, he does know
Arleena being the flustered girl she is of being put on the spot by this weird ass kid, she is hesitant as fuck but since many of the people there have seen what kind of leadership she has and the fact of how much she truly knows Westeros from growing up with the Dawnguards honestly more than some of them combined, they agree to the idea of her becoming queen so she accepts
Kyra is so fucking happy and proud of her, but in the back of her mind the idea of because of the role Arleena now has, things might not go back to what they were between the two of them
Arleena requests for Kyra to stay in King's Landing with her at least for a time, which Kyra absolutely agrees to
That night, the two spend time alone to talk
For context, they're not officially dating dating like they had before all that time ago but they're basically dating
In that time of privacy, Arlee asks if Kyra will become her queen consort
Kyra doesn't quite know what to say, but the fact of Arleena saying she will deal with any and all of the criticism thrown at her by the houses of Westeros alongside the Faith that might come with making gay marriage legal just so that they could be together is what helps her decide that she'd agree when able
Thankfully with the amazing Samwell Tarly as the Grand Maester, it isn't much of a battle to legalize gay marriage in Westeros. There's a bit of backlash, but mostly from the Faith but whatever, having church have a big influence on government is a no go with this queen
Arleena refuses to have an official fancy schmancy coronation yet
The two girls are just estatic and have grown closer during this time after the council meeting until up to this point
Arleena asks Kyra again if she'll become her wife and the Queen Consort of the Six Kingdoms, to which Kyra says yes to
They have a fancy ass wedding, but it's not a huge wedding. Arleena is the Queen of the Six Kingdoms after all, it has to be fancy
Arleena finally decides to set up her official coronation, and both her and Kyra are crowned as queens of the Six Kingdoms

buddy cop vampire plague doctors?????? (this is silverink-and-ichor's main btw)
oh hi @silverink-and-ichor! I was wondering who you were when I saw your main url pop in my notes every once in a while haha. I briefly answered this earlier so I’ll copy the answer here... Vampire Plague Doctors is an extremely silly idea I came up with in March when all of this pandemic nonsense first got started and was my writerly way of coping with being sent home from college.
Appropriately enough, I was learning about medicine in medieval china in my history class at the time and I was texting my best friend saying “Isn’t it weird that all across history doctors were just like, ‘I diagnose you with the dead you need to lose ALL your blood” and how plague doctor outfits were essentially hazmat suits because they covered the whole body as protection even if this was before germ theory. At which point I jumped to the conspiracy theory conclusion that “Plague doctors are vampires hiding from the sun, not disease, and bleeding people is an excuse to get a meal” and then I jumped to the conclusion about “What if an undead vampire genuinely cared about helping other people live because  ~existential crisis about immortality~??” and so this story was, unfortunately, born.
The Doctor Vampire is named Aleksandr Kumiega, he’s like 3000 years old, and the story starts when this extremely sick kid begs to be turned and he accidentally becomes a father figure to this now immortal “I’ve been 22 for three years now it’s kind of trippy” impulsive disaster of a human vampire named Cyryl (aka “cereal”, Rasin Bran, and “not oatmeal” if you’re my friend who heard me mispronounce his name once and now loves to tease me about accidentally naming a character something that sounds like breakfast food). And then they go on buddy-cop style adventures with each other to learn more about medicine and escape vampire hunters and try to not kill people in both possible meanings of that term. This story didn’t get very far into development, tbh, so this is one of the very few things I have written up in the character introduction for Cyryl:
Skills: being an absolute dumbass
MBTI: who needs a personality when you’re a ball of questions and bad decisions vaguely coalesced into humanish form
Enjoy the chaos and thanks for the ask! Idk if I’d ever revisit it but if people seem to be interested in this story, I’ll try to take another crack at it!

God the greatest tragedy is that Jojen died because imagine how fucking weird he and Bran would be together.
Bran makes Jojen his Master of Whisperers and god. If people thought Vary and Baelish were weird and sneaky bitches they are in for a rude awakening with these two.
Someone will be cooking and they turn around to see Jojen and Bran smiling politely at them. Sam is talking to a maester about adding Tyrion to the history books and then Jojen goes “he’s right” and Sam nearly drops his books because those doors were locked, weren’t they?
Whenever they have family dinners Bran is just like “Oh, nice to see you all again. I must go now!” and Jojen looks dead but the rest of the Starks are assured by a Very Tired Podrick that this is just him going into a vision.
Sansa: “Gods, I love my brother, and I know he is the king, but he is just so -”
Meera: “Odd? I know. Try living with both of them.”
Brienne or Tyrion at any given moment: “I worked fine with Sansa and Arya, I said. Bran deserves to have someone looking out for him, I said. I’m sure it won’t be odd at allllll, I said. This will honor that blond incestuous ass, I said.”
But like also they honestly love the little weirdos and Bran always seems to warm up around Tyrion and Brienne and Sam and the trio sometimes wonder if he’s just fucking with them half the time.
They totally are, by the way. Bran and Jojen 10000% have an unspoken bet on who can out-weird the other on a given day. They both say such outrageous shit that people just take them at their word and it’s so funny watching how much their friends are willing to believe or overlook bc of these two.
Bran congrats Sam on the new baby and Sam is like “Wha - Gilly is giving birth? How do you know? Because of your powers???” [gilly screaming ‘THE BABY’S COMING, HE’S COMING!’ in the room right next to bran] Bran: “Yes.”
The two absolutely hide in dark corners and will wait there for an actual hour waiting for someone to walk by and finally Brienne and Meera put their foots down and tell them to stop being children because they are the king and master of whispers and they can’t behave like this
The next day a bird follows them around and will not stop cawing at all hours of the day, and when Bran comes out of his warging Brienne glares at him and he just goes, “I searched for Drogon. It appears I can’t find him yet; we’ll have to try again tomorrow.”
They’re like, actually good at ruling though btw. Bran knows to leave the council to their own devices most of the time and pops in when there’s a problem, and he looks over the entire kingdom so by the time people come to him with complaints he’s already giving them a solution before they open their mouths.
Edmund the Farmer almost wishes he could have gotten his carefully written speech out before Jojen started speaking with a solution to his crops being burned, but he appreciated the help.
Bran appreciated that Jojen just started talking because he had watched Edmund the Farmer practice his speech and it was. Not good. He was going to do voices, and there’s only so much of that that Bran can take.
Bran and Jojen are like. The Raymond Holts of King’s Landing in terms of facial expressions
Bran with a straight look on his face, holding Jojen’s hand: “I love you.”
Jojen, with an equally blank look: “I Would Die For You.”
Tyrion: “This is....um....sweet?”
Jojen after Bran accidentally rolled over his foot once:
Tumblr media
For a guy who had two siblings that were fucking each other, got forcibly married to a 14-year-old, and hired and killed his girlfriend, Tyrion thinks that these two are a pretty weird couple.
Then again, he’s had two siblings that were fucking each other, got forcibly married to a 14-year-old, and hired and killed his girlfriend, so Tyrion thinks he probably doesn’t have much room to judge.

FFIX Appreciation Week~
Because I always arrive late, here's my little appreciative post! ❤ I wish I had the time to paint an illustration, but a class is draining all my time- more than I expected in fact- so I'm just going with this!
Day 1 → Favorite scene/cut-scene ALL of the night of the attack on Alexandria. The drama, the cutscenes, Bahamut, Alexander, the Invincible, Steiner and Beatrix fighting back to back, Zidane rescuing Garnet, EVERYTHING. *gestures at the gif below* It’s all so beautiful and heartwretching.
Tumblr media
Day 2 → Favorite location The Black Mage Village. I would live there honestly. Everytime I play and get there, I can almost feel the sunlight shining through and the wind through the leaves, and hear the water running through the Village. Daguerreo is a close second! And I’ve sometimes spent hours in the Gurgu Volcano or Bran Bal listening to the music theme.
Tumblr media
Day 3 → Favorite song/theme You’re not Alone. Honestly how dare they use this theme for Kuja in Opera Omnia and make me cry like that.
youtube
Day 4 → Favorite eidolon/summon/command This transformer boat.
Tumblr media
Day 5 (July 05) → Favorite side-quest/mini game I would rush through Tetra Master matches sometimes, but then spend the entire day on the Chocobo Hot and Cold game. Honestly.
Tumblr media
Day 6 (July 06) → Favorite boss/battle There are a few monsters/bosses I honestly feel bad beating. Like little cute Tantarian. 200% would pet.
Tumblr media
Day 7 → D-DAY! A free day! When I have more time...I’m SO going to paint a Kuja fanart...
When I played FFIX for the first time, I was about half my actual age. With time, replaying it again and again, this title really grew on me to become my absolute favourite, not only because it features some of my fav characters of all time (*cough Kuja *cough. I’m not vocal about this on social medias but my friends may as well strangle me if I keep talking about him with this frequence. I’m sorry for this torture and grateful of having you in my life), but also because of the incredibly deep themes it portrays. Remembering the main theme of the game gives me relief and warms up my heart to this day.
Just a few more things before ending this:
A little thing I’ve always loved about FFIX is the chromatic symbolism in the colours of Zidane and Kuja (and their trance forms), and Garland, and how the theme returns in Memoria too.
The whole Steiner x Beatrix beginning with that letter gets me every. single. time. Favourite FF ship EVER. Hands down.
I NEVER kill the Gimme Cat. It’s a good cat. Would give scritches.
Morbols are cute. I don’t make the rules, sorry.
1000 jumps at the rope is just inhuman.
When I had the PSX, my first disc scratched. I had a save file in Cleyra, so everytime I wanted to replay I had to start from there. This is probably why I remember the story better from disc 2 onwards xD
FF9 was (and is?) really underestimated when I bought the game. I wasn’t really convinced with playing it at first because of this, but gosh I did finish disc one in a single afternoon.
Rufus’ Welcoming Ceremony played in the Evil Forest. Awesome.
Black Jack.
I want to try those Ghysal Pickles.
Garland bad.
Baku is a good dad btw
I love reading theories of FF1 and FF9 being connected.
Quina absolutely destroys me. I love them.
I may or may not edit this list to make it longer. If you need good reasons to try this game, here’s a handful.
Also the strongest boss of the game is a bouncy ball.
Without Final Fantasy, I may not be drawing today. The wonder and beauty of this world remains with you.

So I recently revisited the AGOT mod for CK2 after mastering cheats.
Played as Aegon (Young Griff/fAegon), cheated my way to the Iron Throne after three horribly frustrating attempts. Maybe I'll make another post about that absolute nonsense 😂
Anyway, after I conquered the Stormlands again, I got tired of fucking around and just made him king with a cheat code. Unfortunately that meant Tommen and Myrcella were still alive and Prince/Princesses of the Iron Throne? I couldn't investigate their legitimacy so I just let them be.
So I revealed my true identity and got Blackfyre from the Golden Company. JonCon died of grayscale before I was done getting the Stormlands. That's happened in all 4 playthroughs - once the poor dude didn't even live to get his own lands back 😔
The White Walkers showed up, we totally crushed them in a year. Felt stupid raising all my levies when I just disbanded 99% of them and used the largest nearby group. WWs didn't even make it past the Wall and nobody important died.
After that war, I gave Stannis back the Stormlands and made him Master of Ships. He ended up with one of the highest opinions of me, which is pretty funny. Sadly a bunch of people kept starting factions to put him on the throne instead of me, so he had to have a unfortunate "accident".
Shireen inherited the Stormlands, which was great because she liked me even more than Stannis. There was peace for like a year until Myrcella had to fuck everything up by convincing Shireen to abdicate to her.
Ramsay and Roose died at some point, leaving Jeyne Poole (who everyone still thinks is Arya) in charge of the North. The woman had the nerve to start not one but two wars against me, so I revoked her titles and gave them to Bran.
Sansa was revealed shortly after the White Walker war. She correctly married Harry the Heir this time (Littlefinger married her in the last 3 tries and it fucked shit up), so I killed him and had Aegon marry her.
Their traits are basically perfect for each other in this game btw. They fell in love super quickly and their opinions of each other hover steadily between 95 and 100.
So they've had 8 children now. Rhaegar, Eddard, Catelyn, Elia, Arya, Rhaenys, Daenera and Daeron. Elia's sickly but the rest seem to be doing fine. She's betrothed to the Tyrell heir, Arya's betrothed to the Tully currently in control of the Riverlands (I think he's Edmure's son?), and Rhaenys is going to Dany's son. Holding on to the rest of my kids for keeping future threats in line.
Decided to keep up tradition with this game and set up Rhaegar with one of his sisters. Initially it was Cat, but once Daenera popped out ethnically Valyrian (most of the kids are Northmen) AND with both attractive & quick, I knew I had to scoop that up.

REVIEW: Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse
Tumblr media
✪✪✪✪✪
Read: 7/22/20-7/26/20
Okay, pals. Buckle up.
I want to start this review with a confession— I DNF Game of Thrones...
I know, I know. Scold me. GRRM's style and prose is just way too slow for me. To me, he writes like he has severe ADD, and I mean no offense to anyone with attention deficit problems, but I can't read a saga that derails itself over and over and over ad nauseam. I just can't do it, can't get into it. Thank goodness GoT translated very well onto the screen (ignoring the final season that I just have decided to wipe from my memory Eternal Sunshine style to deal with the grief, obvi), or I might not have ever become familiar with that world.
I bring this up as introduction because Rebecca Roanhorse is a brilliant author and I will take this statement to my grave. She has not only managed to build a brilliantly lush and visceral world like so many legendary fantasy storytellers have done before her, but she managed to do so without needless expository! Nothing was missed, nothing was left unsaid necessarily, but I could just tell that she was very intentional with where she decided to embellish, and from a reader standpoint it absolutely thrilled me! So, thank you Rebecca for knowing that it wasn't necessary to launch into an entire 5 paragraph expository section, detailing (view spoiler)
There several other examples where she chose not to divulge useless information for the sake of taking up a page, but this one was the first time I really was like, "Oh, wow, thank god.. T H A N K Y O U".
I'm not going to go into too much crazy detail as far as plot and characters go, I'm not that kind of reviewer, and you have a very fine summary provided by the author/publisher at the top of the goodreads page, bookstore description, etc. but here's a little synopsis in case you haven't actually read anything about this book before reading this review:
This epic takes place pre-columbian infiltration, so like our author, its characters are indigenous (YES PLEASE LOVE). Thus, the lore that Roanhorse introduces us to is influenced by a lot of real native customs and culture. Every chapter begins with telling us where on the map we are, and gives us a timeline in relation to the Convergence: when the Sun, Moon, and Earth all are in alignment. The first character we are introduced to is a young boy, 10 years before convergence, Serapio. His mother carves sigils into his skin, and blinds him, because she believes he is The Crow God. It's difficult to talk much about Serapio without getting into spoiler territory, so I'll just leave it at that he's endlessly fascinating, and a far more intruiging take on GoT's (not to keep bringing this comparison back....) Bran. I have a lot of mixed up feelings about Ser, and I think anyone who has finished the book can understand why. We don't return to that timeline for some time, as the next main character we meet, 20 days from convergence, is Xiala—a ship captain and a drunk, to be direct. We meet her in a jail cell, locked up for public indecency and getting physical with a Lord Pech. She is bailed out by another merchant lord, Lord Balam, on the promise that she is to captain a ship carrying precious cargo, that must arrive across the map before convergence. Although Xiala insists to Balam that there's not enough time and that it cannot be done, he seems oddly confident that she'll do as he desires. Xiala is incredibly likeable, the kind of heroine that I love to relate to. She's moody, she's super comfortable with her (pan)sexuality... oh, and she's a Teek: she can hold influence over water. Pretty handy in her profession, as you might imagine. Our third main character in the same aforementioned timeline, is newly appointed Sun God, Naranpa. I have a great deal of love for Naranpa—she ascended despite coming from a common clan, not of Sky Made, like all of the other priesthood. She's a realist, and has very keen instincts for people: Iktan— her nonbinary sheild, knife, and former lover (who is the first character to feature nonbinary pronouns!!) is one that I'm still not sure how to feel about. That said, Abah her priesthood nemisis, can go straight to hell. Fuck Abah. The final main character arc that we follow along the timeline towards the Convergence is Okoa— Prince of Tova, Carrior Crow. His journey starts later in the timeline because he's only brought in when (view spoiler). He is so essential to the plot, and I'm excited to learn more of him from a more personal level in the installments of the series to come.
The other choice of note that had me grinning from ear to ear and screaming, "Y E S S S S S" at 2am, most likely waking my husband, dog, and our neighbors: Xe, Xir, Xed freakin pronouns. NONBINARY PEOPLE, YALL. YES, NOT JUST ONE. YES. YES. What a treat.
I gotta tell you guys, I have, like many, been making a much more conscientious effort to read more fiction by BIPOC authors, and I am kicking myself and my privilege for not doing so sooner. BIPOC authors are murdering the fantasy/sci-fi game right now, and this is just another brilliant example.
Frankly, if HBO or Netflix doesn't option
Black Sun
for a series, they would honestly be pretty fuckin stupid.
Btw, here's a map just in case you're like me and thought while reading an ARC,
hmmmm, I'm loving this but I'd really like a map...

Okay, I'm done rambling, but seriously: this is in my top 5 favorites of the year. It's amazing. Endofstory.
ENJOY!
