"But again after some time, i still can't change my way of understanding jk from being this loud man with jimin to an extremely private one with tae" hm can you elaborate it a little bit more please....i mean you did gave an example with the live but like did't get what it's supposed to mean....sorry...
I meant I'm still struggling to comprehend Taekook dynamics. Sure, according to Taekookers Tae and JK have a very private relationship; not considered as a ship. Their relationship is real, genuine and protected by the company. Taekookers oppose this to what they believe is Jikook: a ship, so it's fake; Jikook is very blatant about them, but it still can be shown on TV, because nobody would believe they're real due to this same loudness, so no need to edit them out ("extremely loud").
You'll heard Taekookers say all shippings are fake, as in they are part of the queer culture that the companies employ for fan consumption. In Idols' world, a genuine gay relationship would have been kept private and protected at all costs and thus edited out of any filming because it’d be detrimental to the company. So, lack of content is justified because of privacy issues ("extremely private")
My point mentioning that Vlive was to think about, or more like rambling about, an instance where the dynamics in both relationships are totally different from each other, like I said: there Jimin was passive / plaything / powerless and JK was more like his hyung, dragging him, imposing on him, and so on. Meanwhile Taehyung behave like his Hyung and like assuming command of the situation while JK quickly complied, stopping the live almost immediately.
Maybe this JK's submissive (¡!) side can be better seen in their “Dream” Movie Premiere, where Tae had again that authoritative air around him, pulling JK in, holding hands and JK was so shy and glowing with happyness. Well, even I could see why Taekookers were so happy watching them. JK’s softness side regarding Tae is often mentioned as well as Tae willing to fulfill his role as his hyung, manhandling him and such.
Tumblr media
i know after watching Tae in other instances I know he's a very passionate man, he has a temper and likes to take the initiative.
But all of these are only my vague impressions. Overall I can see Taekooker's point (I mean it's common sense if their relationship is true to keep that private), but they don't take into account Jikook intimacy... they only acknowledge they're very close friends , but I think Jikook are more than friends atp and have shared intimate moments and several times they were caught red-handed too. But well, watching other Vlives with Taekook I believe Tae is still playing a role in there; he hasn't removed himself from the conversation lol.

ALBUM TIMEEEE - the next day (after 47383 listens)
Tumblr media
The way I couldn't listen to it for most of the day yesterday because I just HAD to listen to it only at home so I could make inhumane noises in peace, you feel me?
I do consider FACE a more cohesive body of work because of the rawness, but MUSE is so much fun and light and perfect for summer and gives you just the right feels that jimin probably wanted to leave us with during his absence
Rebirth has an ideal vibe for a intro and I cannot stress this enough . His voice is so light and airy. Sets the perfect tone of what he's trying to convey in the album. I get why this is one of his favorite tracks.
WITH YOU WITH YOU WITH YOU - love this part
Showtime acts like a seamless transition to SGMB tho. Could easily be the soundtrack of a little scene on some adventure movie, his voice at the end is so cute. I'm glad he had so much fun!
SGMB - honestly this song is truly just so postive. No matter what your musical preferences are, this song is what he wants to portray in all his happy bubbly self. It truly is a different from the rest type of track. I could tell he was so proud and loved the add-libs he did throughout the song.
Slow dance - I JUST KNEW their voices together would go super well on this track, she just has that type of specific voice that blends so well with jimins. The way for a moment I couldn't distinguish the voices at the end.. I WAS WAITING like my life depended on it for the saxophone part, wish it was even longer
Be Mine - It should be illegal to go this hard on a song, It is simply not allowed. You can tell he was waiting for his little latin moment again. This really is such a good genre for him.
MOVIN COMIN LOVIN in a hot island huh jimin? so that's what's happening huh? 😆
WHO - SOTY. Yes he's put crack on this because I can't seem to stop listening (in a strategic way with playlists, pls stream lol)
additional thoughts on this previous post
Closer than this is just e mental loop of I CAN NEVER LET YOU GOOO O O O OOOOO, can't help it
I'm so proud of him for continuing to elevate his music and art and also for always delivering bops and never disappointing
I'm proud he was able to do 2 albums back to back and that he no longer beats himself up for mistakes he thinks he makes and also that he finally could do the voice training from scratch just as he's been wanting to for years, to keep his voice healthy and ensure longevity

I’ll preface this by saying that I don’t know anything about music, and this post is purely based on my musical taste and how each snippet of the songs made me feel.
Okay, the music? The sound? The rhythm? I’m not sure of the correct term, but each song is so different. It’s definitely upbeat compared to FACE, I think.
Rebirth sounds the most interesting to me, and I can’t think of anything similar.
Interlude: Showtime reminds me a lot of the beginning of Face-Off, with circus music.
Slow Dance: At the risk of sounding ignorant, is that jazz? Or something similar, right? I’m really excited about that one.
Be Mine: Those who know reggaeton will probably agree with me; this sounds like old-school reggaeton. Reggaeton from the 2000s, particularly in the style of Don Omar.
Who: This sounds upbeat, I think, but I can’t find a song to use as a reference.
I’m claiming Slow Dance, Be Mine, and Interlude: Showtime.

“No matter how badly he hurt and scarred me, he is — and always will be — my better half. My soulmate. I loved him then when I was young and hopeful and quite naive, and I will continue to love him until the end of my days when I’m old and slow and wise enough to know better.”

respectful thoughts on concept vs aesthetic in the new kpop generation
[disclaimer: this is a very light opinion article about kpop. i am not dissing any groups mentioned, since i love them all, and i'm straying from bringing any negativity. the fact that i don't like some of the music these groups make doesn't mean i can't acknowledge their hard work. often, my critique falls to the managements.]
so, these last few weeks we've had some 3rd generation comebacks in the kpop community and some debuts and other well-known comebacks for the newer generations. but, mostly, i'm going to talk about how music in kpop has been westernalized to the point of becoming mostly generic, forgetting what made kpop since the beginning: concept.
the reason why i like 2nd and 3rd generation the most in kpop is not because of the music, dance or vocals, although i admit it irks me a lot that nowadays most idols won't sing live (like, ever), but because i think it's the pinnacle of concepts vs aesthetics.
what is concept and what is aeshetic: red velvet
let's take my amazing girls, red velvet, my favourite group, and their last comeback. when the teasers were released, we all thought we were going to go "velvet", this time (although i hope we would go red, and i have an inkling we would go red velvet). but the gloominess of the pictures, the elegance, the way they seemed out of the museum strayed a little bit further from the quirkiness of birthday and they felt more serious, much like "peekaboo" concept pictures or even "feel my rhythm's".
when the song released, we were all surprised. we love it, as we normally do with red velvet, but the problem with the main public was that their expectation of the concept of the pictures didn't correlate with the actual concept of the song.
and that's because the teasers were nothing but aesthetics. the aesthetic was dark but the concept was "red velvet". when the idea of the whole paraphernalia around the song doesn't link with the music of the song, we are not talking about a concept but about a aesthetic. a concept is cohesive in the ways we think the song: from the notes, the rhythm, to the message, the pictures, the way we promote it. aesthetic is taking what we feel "looks good" and putting it into a concept that doesn't need it. aesthetics don't tell a story, concepts do.
it doesn't mean that chill kill wasn't a good album or a good comeback. it means that it was at fault since the beginning, because we were waiting to be told a story how red velvet does, from the music itself, while it felt like they were telling it from the pictures.
(that is also what has happened with the lastest comeback of nct dream).
almost all of the 3rd generation groups, and mainly girlgroups, debuted with a clear concept: red velvet (red and velvet concept), mamamoo ("live" concept), girlfriend (kind of 'magical' sphere), blackpink, dreamcatcher, loona, and i feel like this is being left behind to accomodate more "aesthetics", and music —kpop— feels less genuine. that's why i'm not feeling very tied to the kpop sphere anymore: it's all about consumption.
bts and the consumption of kpop
i love bts, and i'm a long time bangtan fan since they debuted, but i am confident in saying that after "fake love" (maybe let's stretch to "idol") their music wasn't as striking. it wasn't that they didn't have a good production, or didn't do their best, or weren't at their best ("black swan" is still amazing in all senses, for example, and works perfectly as a song), but i think it's because they were "westernalized" in the concept vs aesthetics idea. while before bts used to have a clear concept, not only of what they meant as a group and wanted to tell, but also later as it migrated to the trilogy of "love yourself", after they hit it big in 2019 they started confusing, to my opinion, the concept with the aesthetic: they didn't do albums for the sake of telling a story or concept anymore, but for the sake of milking the cow (not the boys' fault). don't get me wrong: mots 7 still had a clear concept in the CD, but it didn't feel as whole as a BTS project anymore. rm even said something along the lines of "we have to stop because we have lost sight of what we're doing".
that's because in the west we're not used to concepts but to aesthetics: the music is not cohesive with a preestablished idea of storytelling, but with the artist. most of the bands and soloists don't change the music style as to what music their storytelling needs but to what their personal needs as an artist do. take taylor swift, for example: every cd is different, but it's cohesive in what taylor swift does. as a long taylor swift fan too, when we got from "speak now" to "red" we were utterly confused, because that's when she began changing her aesthetic, and therefore, her music, but because the concept was "taylor swift", it was still recognizable. she's not the first one: it also happened with the beatles, "revolver" being the first album to truly differ from the others, only to completely change their music with "sgt pepper's". ariana grande changes aesthetics, but her music is mostly cohesive throughout, so does billie eilish, lorde, dua lipa. we would refer to it as having a "music style".
with bts, they found a huge market in the west. it wasn't the only incursion in kpop: after bts and blackpink, twice did, too, and we also had the jopping and popping of the sm super group—which, come on, it didn't land of obvious reasons—and we have aespa, gidle, and more. but bts was the first group to hit it BIG. we will all probably remember exo, red velvet, dreamcatcher and gfriend being ultra famous overseas, but not like bts and blackpink are.
BTS started changing their music around that time. the comebacks after 2019 didn't feel cohesive with what BTS was in their roots. "boy with luv" is a pop song that took us by surprise. "on" didn't land as well as black swan even though i personally love it. "be" didn't have a clear storytelling (or maybe a pandemic storytelling, too soon, imo). the most flagrant cases of BTS losing their concept to the aesthetic was "dynamite" and "butter", but mostly "butter": when "dynamite" was out, it made our summer. it was truly AMAZING. it couldn't get better. it felt like the song we needed, and it should have won the grammy. but it didn't, so they tried to replicate the same song with butter. really: listen to it. it uses the same rhythm, structure, the same "catchyness", and mostly, the same aesthetic.
blackpink, while we can criticize about the quality of their songs and how they use the same structure too—almost to a boring, predictable result—stood true to their concept since the beginning. if we hadn't been used to BTS management of concepts, we would have found that "butter" and "dynamite" worked well in the same way "how you like that" and "kill this love" too. but blackpink always played more with the "music style" than the concept, because when you repeat a concept over and over, not only in storytelling but also the musical creation, it become your signature music (to the point of a meme, almost).
but since BTS started changing and having their much deserved fame, look what happened to other hype groups: txt released their "disco" blue hour, tried to fit it into their concept (imo, they didn't do it very well). gfriend released "mago", while it's a good song it strays too far from the gfriend we were used to (and no: apple wasn't an incursion to far away lands. it still sounded 'magical', just like gfriend did). seventeen did something similar, too. the playfulness of the 70s/80s spread without regarding the groups unique concepts.
sm stood true to themselves: they had already made songs with "disco" (shinee, 'look' by red velvet...) and in contraposition they tried to westernize the concept of NCT. it hasn't worked, because no male group will ever be BTS, even though i believe exo could have had a huge chance only if they had appeared two years after. jyp went into hybe's direction, but kept it true to their group's concepts (itzy didn't sound the same as twice or stay kids). yg wasn't in their best moments as a business, then.
with bts in the west, the whole point of kpop and 3rd generation shifted: they aren't marketing songs aligned to the concept anymore, but to the aesthetic of the song. twice concept had started radically changing with "fancy" and "cry for me", but now it feels like they are just recycling their music over and over (also because twice concept, in the ageist era we live, is difficult to maintain once the members get old.) nct is a mess, trying to have catchy lyrics that utterly don't make any sense. gidle's english songs pale in comparison to the amazing songs in korean. aespa and itzy's english comebacks haven't hit is big. it feels as if there's a "line" that one has to cross to go to the west, which is leaving all your uniqueness of your concept back in korea to make it. and only bts and blackpink have mastered this (even though "the feels" by twice was a big success). [disclaimer: when i talk about success or failure i'm not talking about numbers, but about quality of the song.]
the case of gidle, stay c and aespa
those four groups are, to me, the ones that have maintained their concept all along. i don't talk about boygroups of the 4th generation because i'm not very familiar with them, but let me tell you about discovering gidle and aespa, and then stay c and new jeans:
gidle: they are a strange case, because they don't have a clear concept. that's because their concept, just like red velvet, changes every comeback while maintaining a concept identity. when gidle debuted, i named them the "red velvet daughters" and they still have to fail me in that sense. they are truly versatile, and it feels like they can do any concept they like while maintaining an identity, even with the loss of soojin.
aespa: when they debuted, i was utterly... scared. i didn't know what sm was pulling, and everyone celebrated them as the 4th gen leaders (when itzy was still doing the best numbers). i knew they weren't going to be, because they would stick to the concept. they are still one of the best artists in the 4th generation girlgroup space, and incredibly succesful, but ive has had more sellings, for example. but: numbers doesn't prove quality. ive's music, although very good, feels like there are other groups that could make it. while aespa's music feels unique to aespa. aespa has stayed so true to their concept much like blackpink does (i truly suffered with girls, because i was demaning a slight concept change, i was getting bored) and i think it's safe to say that the kind of music they do is very impactful, always experimental, like what sm pulls best. aespa will have a longetivity that itzy doesn't have (damn, i love itzy so much) just because sm has understood aespa's concept, while jyp still has to grasp what itzy is truly doing. and if itzy gets it right, aespa and itzy will become iconic to their eras.
stay c: now, my girls. truly underrated! stay c is the reencarnation of old bubbly kpop. they are consistent, both with their concept, aesthetic and music. you don't get the feeling that they release for big masses, even if all kpop does generally. they know what they do as a group and they do it incredibly well while staying true to their concept. they have twice producer and it shows because it definitely has a feel of the early twice. they sing well, they dance well, they cooperate. they are a fully fledge group with a mission and a storytelling.
before moving to illit, the case of newjeans
now, newjeans is known to be one of the best debuts in all kpop history, and i personally have listened to their first EP a hundred times, and "ditto" is one of my favourite kpop songs ever. and the reason why they are so successful is because of min hee jin (we can hate her, but come on, she's fucking good in her job): she's a master of concepts. and new jeans had a CLEAR concept. youthful, bubbly, lovely, catchy.
but it's not going to last, i'm afraid. they are impactful and they will make numbers but i truly think that they won't be as legendary as everyone has made it to be and that's because they've taken the same bts route, but far too early. FAR TOO EARLY. their last EP may have a concept as an EP but it feels somehow disconnected to what new jeans represented the first summer. i don't think they should stick to one concept forever—they would encounter the same problems as twice—but they have changed it too quickly without giving it time to properly experiment all the layers of it. differently from gidle or red velvet, which established themselves as truly versatile from the beginning, new jeans have strayed from their path soon enough but not far enough. their songs feel catered to the commodification of content, now, and frankly, almost all of the songs in their last EP, while experimental (and i love it) sound too cohesive, to the point that you listen to the EP while not paying any attention and it might go over your head. their voices' tone, too, which were part of the concept of "youthful girls" are too similar to each other, which makes it difficult to grasp a turning point in the song. you can have same hair, same clothes, but you shouldn't have the same voices and songs over and over.
and that's why groups like illit have debuted now with much success:
ILLIT and the depersonalization of kpop
illit is, to me, the most flagrant cases of confusion between concept and aesthetic and how kpop is shifting nowadays. of course, i have done my research: i've listened to the album, watched most of the "live" performances. and while doing so, as someone who doesn't have a clue why this group was formed (as will do the 80% of the people who first listens to illit), i thought: oh, this is new jeans.
NO, i'm not saying they are the same or they are copying the girls. it's not illit's fault, as it's not all the groups i have been mentioning (the fault is capitalism): but their debut song sounds too much like new jeans, the 2nd ep. they have the same long hair. same youthfulness. and i thought, oh, well, alright. new jeans 2, it's good. it's okay.
UNLESS! i read that they were going for the "magical" concept. truly?, really? are they... magical? they have magical appearances, fairy-like, the dresses are magical, the way they move is truly magnetic (get the pun?), but their music is not.
and that's the fault of what we've been living with the last kpop nowadays: music is concept-less. they live for the aesthetic of the music, but the music feels generic in itself. because it is not unique to what the group wants to cater. they do what's selling, and try to mask it as something original, while it is not. aesthetic is not the same as concept: someone who dresses like dark academia and brings their books to a fancy library and takes pictures doesn't mean they are living for a concept. they are living for the aesthetic because they like it, but the way they experience the aesthetic will be the same as the other people, because there is only one aesthetic.
aesthetic happens when there's empty concepts, while concepts happen when one thinks about the aesthetic, embodies it to a way of turning it over and make their own thing about it.

I don’t believe that BTS actually exists. I think it’s a cognito hazard that feeds on preteen lust and desire. Someone watches a BTS concert on live stream and they’re just staring at a static screen for two hours.

Fatigue
Kinda Random Thoughts a couple of days after the 'last BTS Live'
Ngl feeling a bit of mental and emotional fatigue.
I think it’s safe to say it’s going around.
Tumblr media
The sad thing about social media is no matter how much you try and curate your own bubble with things that make you happy and positive people, it’s hard to maintain. Social media is a representation of everyday offline people. Regular people behind the usernames with their own opinions, experiences, likes and dislikes (celebrities are regular people too, just famous for something or talented and known for it).
Though it’s good for growth and maturity to not just surround yourself with the same opinions and thoughts as yourself, it’s also tiring when you feel the need just be understood. When you can never enjoy things in peace because others need more information, more context, need to pick apart, need to make their side seen, their conclusions/interpretations the decisive one.
Tumblr media
Over the years we’ve had SEVERAL Jikook lives, OT7 lives or lives with some of the members as well as Jikook. I, like most of us, LOVE Jikook lives. When watched in its entirety we not only see their ‘moments’ but we see them as regular people, we then can discern the fake from true when we see fake subs, edits etc. What makes Jikook even more interesting and captivating, to me, is when I can see the similarities as well as the exceptions in their interactions with each other and their other members. I found Jikook AFTER I found BTS…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and not only do I love their lives with primarily the two of them, I also love their solo lives, their lives with other members and OT7 lives. All the members are interesting in their own ways and their lives shed light on them and the other members, Jikook included. Watching their lives (though still them putting their best face forward and always aware that they’re being watched by millions) is so much more rewarding than just watching edits, summaries etc from the likes of TikTok, YouTube and other platforms. It’s fun AFTER watching their lives to then see what army have done to have fun with them, such as funny edits, fake FUN subs etc.
**please please please, weverse is free, whenever you have the time, watch the lives there with the subtitles there, though not always the best, it’s better than those who may not translate for altruistic reasons**
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It gets me down sometimes the constant need it seems, within fandom culture, to microanalyse every piece of content we get. We have the need to seek out hidden messages, hidden looks, put context behind what is and isn’t said. Give explanation where it isn’t needed and draw conclusions from what isn’t said.
Most of the time it’s cute, fun and ‘harmless’
But sometimes 😪
Tumblr media
MANIPULATION, MISINFORMATION & MISTRANSLATION
Without agenda, edits, cuts, slow mo and with context & rightful subtitles - Original Weverse Source
It’s always been this way and sadly seems like it always will be. I like context, I like information, when possible I like to get it from the original source. It’s nice when busy and unable to read whole interviews or watch whole lives, to see little snippets and clips that float around online. But it’s so draining when those little clips and snippets are then used to paint different pictures and narratives depending on the sharer’s biases/intention. When it’s aimed at making members into villains, defaming their characters etc.
It’s rarely the case that the purpose for lives (when there is one) ends up being appreciated solely for that. Just the members wanting to connect with their fans.
Tumblr media
mukbangs, karaokes, Legos, q&a’s, tmi’s, messages of thanks, birthday lives, just because lives. All the times they go on live that can be appreciated for just that end up being used as material for hate
Everytime it should be healing to interact with those we are fans of, after the initial wave of euphoria is over, undoubtedly what follows is soo much negative noise, new narratives, more hate etc.
As I said before I try to curate my timelines, who I follow, things I like & comment on etc but sometimes the need to correct misinformation, the need to defend the lies and negativity means I still end up seeing so much of the bad.
Tumblr media
REAL (Weverse Original Source)
Tumblr media
FAKE!
I know this is a cycle and I have choices and am not being forced to be anywhere.
It’s just one of those days where I want to word vomit on my blog.
I just want to enjoy BTS and Jikook peacefully and positively. Why can’t everyone want to do the same for their faves?? Why is it always so angry and combative and about winners and losers, horrible name calling and malicious lies, insults, nasty images etc. Why campaigns to cause mental anguish to members and their family? To sabotage and try to get members separated or even imprisoned. Why mass report playlists and accounts? Why when more often than not, it changes nothing.
If you don’t like something why spend so much energy on it? The members will still interact with each other, those that have ships & biases remain and Jikook will still be Jikook 💅
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know social media is a representation of the real world and that there are nasty people in the real world, so of course it makes sense that there are nasty people online, it’s just tiring and sucks the fun out.
They won’t stop me enjoying BTS’ music & content, them as individuals and a group nor will they stop me enjoying whatever Jikook chose to share with us,
Tumblr media
but everyone once in a while it does mean I get social media fatigue, fandom fatigue and the need for me to do posts like this.
Tumblr media
💜
Please use this post to share on the good things you like about the fandom, the group and BTS & Jikook online spaces. Let’s bring the positivity back for ourselves 💪
I hope anyone feeling like me can find what they need to keep on going in the fandom or make the move to take a break 💜

“What is love?”
Often, I get asked this question. I always peculiarly depicted love as your features. When someone asked me about the proportions I told them, it's the vast expanse of your hazel eyes, its the moles scattered around your face, i can vividly stare at them if i close my eyes for a while, or how the ruffled tassels of hairs fall from your forehead as you look up, or how the eye lashes curve upside, or how the cheekbones heaves up as they almost touch your water lines of the pair of eyes, or how the apples of your cheeks grow quiet massive as those teeth break out into a crippling grin. I could close my eyes and still see them. Or maybe the thin lips, straighter and curved up like a cupid, or how the vastness of the ocean makes me feel you. I used to describe love as you. But then again, in a sense, it's true, my love is you, my visual of love is you.

Just an advice please do not go with taekookers narrative of the comapny is protecting them (tk) and all. Being in the fandom for 4 years i can tell you that it's just their coping excuse. Like you tell me how do you think they're hiding one gay couple (tk) by selling (according to them) another gay couple (jkk) ? Like how the hell does that make sense? Like do you wanna tell me that the comapny is protecting TK's gay relationship by making jungkook do fanservice with another member? Like so exactly are they protecting jungkook or not ? Does this even make sense?
See tk were very close at the beginning but in later years they kind of drifted apart and because of that same reason tkkrs did not got any moments so they came up with the excuse of this "Tk is private and not for cameras". Jungkook and taehyung had a talk in BTS's show ITS where jungkook himself said that over time taehyung became more reserved and things got awkward between them. It could be because taehyung was having his show so he didn't get much time to spend with his members or could be any other reasons but yeah for what tkkrs called as tk being private it was them actually feeling awkward around each other. Now they seem more than fine to me. They must have caught up on their lost time.
Another thing is according to tkkrs years back someone in a handshake event asked jungkook to chose between jimin and taehyung and he said something like his relationship with taehyung is not for cameras and all. Idk if you know how a handshake event works but you hardly get 3-4 seconds to talk idk how can a person ask such a question nd get answer like that from jungkook lol and there's no proof of this being real. Another is they actually asked jungkook to chose between jm nd TH and he actually chose both by tick marking in front of bothe of their names and there's picture of it too as a proof.
They are known for making up theories out of thin air just like they made a group dinner at atomix as only tk dinner like they writes whole damn essays over it.
Idk i just simply see going to get into that tkkrs spiral just like all the baby armys. Cause the few posts you have rted are clearly not it. I saw you rting one post of sign language that and mind you tkkrs were called out by actual sign language expert language after them claiming tk talking in sign language during my universe. It was all over army twitter... they're known for misleading.
I'm sorry if I'm coming across as rude or some shipper trying to force my ship or anything but belive me idc who you gonna ship in the future when i know none of these ships are real and there's tens of tkkrs so one adding up there won't cost anything to me. But my only concern was you beliveing their theories without backtracking it all.
Anyways, taehyung is quite definitely dating Jennie, and there's video going viral of supposed jk with his gc. Idk I'm just telling you to fact check before beliveing anything be it any ship.
Well, hi there. It seems someone else should do the backtracking now, as JK has straightaway denied dating any girl. And forget about ships being real or not --this is not what this is about. Facts will always be subjected to multifarious interpretations depending on your narrative, and as long as you develop your theories without insulting others’ stories or ramblings it should be fine.
That aside, “my relationship with taehyung is not for cameras” is such a beautiful, iconic statement to make. But the thing is, I believe Taekookers “do” have some grounds regarding the privacy matter. Because, yes, privacy is a huuuge issue in Korea, especially regarding women and children. Jikookers dissed Taehyung because, supposedly, their brother and sister didn’t even want to see him / weren’t on good terms with him? Yes, Jk and Jimin had only brothers, no sisters, and Tae’s statements regarding his siblings heavily hinted at privacy issues.
In the same vein idols’ privacy regarding real relationships  should be as fiercely protected. Them being gay in an extremely homophobic country where until now no other idol had came out of the closet –and the one who did was kicked out of his company-- of course would led their company to protect them even more, separating them or cutting them out of filming and overall not pairing them together. For instance, remember the “Flying yoga” episode where they had to be “randomly” paired up for the final poses but instead ended up with the usual ships (Jikook, Taejin).
Just remember the blackmail issue with threats of disclosing a gay relationship in 2015-2016 by an unknown source (supposedly Dispatch) and fans mentioning BTS members, as well as the infamous footage of Taekook being separated while on camera around the same time. I just “think” you could argue Jikook being so much in your face with their loudness “could” prove they can’t be in a real relationship. And Jikookers’ narratives oscillate wildly in that regard: one moment they think they’re laying low because of MS and another they’re loud because they don’t give a f. anymore. Narratives shouldn’t be that inconsistent.
Anyway, I’ll post your ask because at the end of the day I’d rather believe more in Vminkook's amazing friendship than them being involved in a committed relationship with each other. Friendship is so vastly underestimated. I’m glad you quoted Jk choosing both of their friends as I came to realise --while watching Taekook content-- that JK enjoyed a very close bond to Tae too. I even thought their interactions were nearly identical as those of Jikook: the same jealousy / possessiveness, the lustful and longing stares, the holding hands/arms, hovering around each other, sleeping together, dating / private trips, using ILY hand signs on performances / grand gestures, getting real intimate at times, overall lack of boundaries and being comfortable around each other, and so on. Considering that, Jungkook's relationship with Jimin wouldn't be as much distinct as Jikookers would lead you to believe. That's where I'm standing rn.

I absolutely love the Mood Photo for Blooming Version of Jimin's second album MUSE that dropped today. Just one picture and I already can't contain my excitement. So I came here to add my 2 cents.
Tumblr media
First, our flower boy is back. He loves a backdrop of blooming vegetation and it's 100% on point for a Version called Blooming. Expected nothing less of him. The blue flowers are Smeraldos, telling us where we are. The white ones reminded me of Jimin's birth flower - Spirea or bridal-wreath.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Blooming being the Version focusing on the ME of MusE...genius. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a nod to his birth flower, especially after the Weverse Post mentioned 951013 poems. It makes sense for the concept of MusE Blooming version to have more direct links to Jimin. The first track is literally called Rebirth, might as well remind us all when that birthday actually is. We know it's important to him.
Tumblr media
Now, with all the Smeraldos blooming around him, we're clearly in the Garden already. Hello, connection to TTU and that whole tragic backstory. So, we're in the garden of that ugly guy who wanted to confess his love for the girl that stole his flowers by/after breeding Smeraldos for her to sell. Or something. In the story, after he successfully grew the Smeraldos, the girl never showed up again, and he later found out she died. So he missed his chance to ever confess to her, thus making it The Truth Untold. Tragic romance. Not sure how much of that setting is gonna be relevant for MUSE, but he made it a point to feature the garden that whole story is taking place in by making a Marching Band for it. Alright. Makes me really curious what Smeraldo Garden Marching Band is going to be about. I know we have connections to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. His styling in the Mood Photo also made me think of Black Parade by My Chemical Romance (but that might just be my emo teenage nostalgia talking).
I'm 100% here for his styling. Sadly, just a tie, no choker... But man, that belt? That crop-top? The black tips in his hair? His tattoos?! Please, I'm so here for it. Leader of the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band - Park Jimin is coming and I really can't wait for the Concept Photo and Clip tomorrow!
With the description of the album, SGMB is giving Set me free pt. 2 × ON vibes. Hell yeah! Can we appreciate the absolute genius of Jimin and his team for coming up with the story for both albums, since they were clearly created together and it seems like the FACE was only part 1 of the story he wanted to tell. The more raw, personal part maybe, about his struggles and how he finally overcame them. But baby, we ended with Jimin finally setting himself free, and the ride has only just begun.
How genius is it to start FACE with a tired, dieing Marching Band in Face Off, to then describe his struggles, finally setting himself free at the end, to continue the next album with Rebirth -> Showtime~☆ -> NEW MARCHING BAND!!!! I mean, just his song titles already tell a clear story. If SMF pt.2 was a phoenix rising from the ashes, that lead-up from MUSE looks like he's catching fire, taking flight and lighting up the sky! And I'm so here to watch the fireworks!

I want to preface this by saying that I usually don’t watch reaction videos to BTS content on YouTube because I feel that most people who do them are not sincere. However, there are certain YouTubers who are the exception.
When FACE was released, there were several reaction videos that I watched because I knew those individuals would have genuine reactions. I knew they genuinely appreciated BTS’s work and weren’t reacting to their songs just for money, and they did not disappoint.
Hearing people praise Jimin is my greatest pleasure as a fan. I love it when he is praised, when people say he is a great singer and artist. That’s why I loved it when FACE was praised to the skies and everyone was amazed by what Jimin did on that album. MUSE has been no exception, especially WHO. I haven’t seen many videos yet, but everyone has loved the song, Jimin’s voice, the video, and the choreography. And I love that.
Jimin, you deserve the world.

"Wildflower Dreams"
( An original poem inspired by Rm's Wildflower)
Tumblr media
But broken dreams don't just
Die and disappear
They fall onto you
Like a heavy rain shower
If I'm under the weather
I should be used to it
But my hope can't always
Be an umbrella hanging over
My head
My small hands are cold and wet
From trying to grasp
All that I couldn't get

Maybe my dreams aren't my own
Even though they're stars shining
In the same vast sky
Are they coming true for somebody else ?
Could there have been no start to begin with? (2/5)

WHO MV (Jimin)
I've watched the Who MV around ten times already and am in love! If SGMB was about him leaning into his aegyo mochi side, Who was very much Park Jimin, all clacking Chelsea boots and smouldering gazes and killer moves.
Also, what's with JK and JM always getting pushed by women in their MVs? Seven, 3D, and now Who. I'm sensing a pattern here!
Now once I stop obsessing about Who, maybe I'll start listening to the rest of the album and be back with more observations.
Are y'all enjoying Who as much as I am?????
