So I never formally introduced myself!

My name is Avery/Aki! I write YA Fantasy, NA Paranormal, and a handful of other things. I have been writing pretty much my entire life, but only in the last few years have I been seriously pursuing it.

Ihale

Book 1, The Rising Stones, on Amazon

Ihale is the story of families coming together, being torn apart, love, oh and ancient magic, old gods, blood feuds, and how history is written by the victor.

Bel and Heln didn’t know taking a shortcut would end up changing the course of history.

Ghost Punch

Book 1, Grim Reflection, coming in 2020

Book 2, That’s the Spirit (in progress)

Shay can touch ghosts.

Therefore, she can punch them.

A powerful enemy can control spirits and has besieged the town of Teton Falls. Shay and her friends have to do everything in their power to keep everyone safe.

Keeper of the Doorway

Book 1 (not title yet, in progress)

Amber was supposed to go to Paris, but instead she has to stay with her weird, reclusive step-brother Eric in his too big house in the tiny town of Harmony, Oregon.

When weird things start happening, she finds out that under the house there is a doorway that is letting a terrible power leak into their world.

Shadow Cast

Book 1, Carry Me Home (working title, in progress)

Xander lived in a small, boring tourist town with a lake and some trees.

Lukas was just supposed to stay for a few weeks.

Then everything went terribly, terribly wrong.

Witch Hat

Aileen assists in the hunt for a serial killer who murders witches with the help of her familiar: her hat.

Last Light

Book 1: The Necromancer’s Curse

Andy is assigned to help Nathaniel with research on vampires, but the closer he gets to the truth the more dangerous it becomes.

And Nathaniel has a secret.

Rift (aka Magical Boy Matt)

Matt wasn’t able to use magic, until Zeke stole a piece of technology from Hard Light Magic. Now he can transform and has to use those powers to fight the forces of evil.

Thief and Guard (working title)

He was a thief. He was a guard. Can I make it any more obvious?

Break the Sky (working title)

Wizard Cowboy Mortimer is tasked by an elf tribe to track down a new water spirit when their own disappears.

Threadbound

David has to find a new place to grow the Tree of Knowledge, but there are a few speed bumps along the way, including running into his old classmate.

Aromantic science fiction and fantasy! I’ve been working on this one on-and-off for over a month, so I’m glad I can finally share it with all of you.

I’ve never really done anything like this before. I just wanted to make a comic based on the greatest post on this website and I wanted it to become more and more detailed as it went along. It took me a little over a year to finish and it was all made without using a tablet.

How many books are gonna be in Ihale and Ghost Punch (approximately?) Who is a character you have a hard time writing? Who is the easiest to write? What kind of character do you wish you could put into a WIP?? Also if we get a physical copy of a book can u sign it :3

Ihale is going to be... five books probably? Four or five. It’s hard to say I am very bad at planning.

Ghost Punch... well. I have no idea. Seven seems nice? We’ll see.

I have a hard time writing Rhyss sometimes. I don’t have to write from his POV but Finnias can be hard. Heln can be a little difficult just because I have to make sure it’s all him and not me.

I want more DRAGONS. I am a simple writer, I have simple needs.

Of course! I’m going to try to start doing the con circuit again next Fall and I’ll have books available at the table, with any luck! I should get them printed professionally but I’ve always kind of wanted to learn book binding so... (I’m kidding I’ll get it done professionally. Or will I?)
