I'm sorry it took me so long to answer this. I've been in a weird place this past week. Everything's been a blur.

Anyway! Thank you for being patient 🙏🏻

Firstly, I'm not gonna speak for majority of people bc everyone is different, not everyone is sad or mad or happy. That being said, I would hope people aren't disappointed in him, although some might be, I can't say bc I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ everything i say here is solely my opinion and in no way an attempt to lump anyone into a group.

And speaking of, in my opinion, neither of them has done anything wrong and there's no reason to be disappointed in Tae himself as if he's done something he shouldn't have. But that's me! I can't stop people from feeling what they feel.

Who knows, maybe he doesn't gaf anymore, y'know? Idols are constantly being stalked and ruined by paparazzi, it's sick and inevitable. Maybe they just wanted it to be on their terms? I'm sure they knew they'd be on camera, but I'm not them so I don't know that either. All I can say is if they did know and wanted it on their terms so they said "fuck it" then I say SLAY. It's about time idols feel like they have some say in their own lives even if all hell breaks loose bc of it.

I don't think a statement would have been much different tbh. People will be angry if they want to be angry, people will be happy if they want to be happy, and people will be hurt if they are hurt. A statement might have made it more clear instantly, but I think it's pretty clear already imo. And I think people still would choose to wonder if it's say, a promotion scheme thing, like they have already. People like to make conspiracies if they don't like the truth about something.

Fandoms are constantly a mess for one reason or another honestly 😭 idc we can all fight it out as long as tae is happy and the army's that are genuinely hurting are not attacked just bc it would be easy to point fingers at them. Jennie is so much more than hot and pretty, though. I've been a blink for almost as long as I've been an army. I found bts in 2017 and blackpink just a few months later. Yes, they are beautiful and talented. But they are also sweet, and kind, and so funny. Jennie has gotten so much shit that she never deserved. It's easy to hate people when we don't know them and when we're behind a screen. I personally love her, I don't know her in real life, but from what I've seen of her, she is so loving and kind and funny and protective and just all around an amazing human being. It doesn't matter what I think, but in my opinion it makes sense for those two. They're both amazing souls that are full of goodness. And if that ever changes or is proven different for either of them, then I guess I was wrong. But that's how I feel rn.

As for the ideal type thing. I've got a few things to say about that.

First of all, we don't know them. Their ideal types could be the exact opposite of what we think or imagined. There's never a way to know.

When they say stuff about their ideal types, its usually when they're newer in the industry and younger. And they are more than likely feeling pressured about answering so they either pick general things, or what they think then, and it probably changed lol. I doubt anyone's ideal type stays the exact same forever.

Besides. What if his ideal type was the opposite of Jennie, and then he met her and fell for her anyway bc he's not shallow? Seems like that happens a lot to people that aren't immature.

You might not have meant any harm with that comment, but I think you should think about it some more. It's offensive to Jennie to say she's hot and pretty and end it there, like that's all she has to offer, and also offensive to Tae to say it's weird he ended up with her bc armys imagined it differently and to think he'd pick someone solely based on their looks. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks, he likes her and that's that.

And let's be honest. Asking a teenage boy what he likes in a gf/bf is stupid. Firstly, it doesn't fucking matter and who knows why tf they do it. But also, teenage boys are most likely gonna be shallow. They are gonna focus solely on looks, especially in a society that normalizes that.

And then they'll be labeled with that even as they grow and begin to mature in their thoughts and words and as they realize it's not okay to label people as needing to be a certain height or weight or to shove them in a box to fit their "type".

It doesn't matter if it was someone else, like I said people will be mad if they want. Its an excuse to hate on someone who they have already chosen to hate without good reason.

Fan wars are stupid. I'm just gonna say it. They're stupid and immature and literally pointless. It has been such a ridiculous journey being both an army and a blink. It's honestly disappointing that fans feel like they can validate the war between BTS and Blackpink. There is no war between them and never was lol. Just the fans that can't grow up. Like damn. Hasn't anyone learned? Can't we love our boys and girls by showing them love in ways that aren't solely on votes and views? Fans start attacking their own for not streaming. Ridiculous.

Nonnie, I hope that you don't think I've attacked you personally in any way in my answer. I know it might not be how you think or perhaps something was worded in a way that you did not mean. I think the word 'disappointed' triggered something in me and brought me back to years ago when Jungkookie apologized to army for the dating accusations and said he wouldn't disappoint us. That still fucking hurts me so badly to think he'd give up on something just to keep fans happy. As if they won't someday grow up and marry and leave him wondering his own worth in the end. It kills me inside when they feel like them being human is a disappointment.

Tae could never disappoint me unless he did something unforgivable, and that certainly wouldn't be dating someone.

I hope that no one feels like that about him, but they will feel what they want and I can't stop that. I also hope people won't be judging their accomplishments bc of their relationship.

Why We Need to Protect Jungkook and BTS from Harm

BTS fans, also known as ARMY, are outraged and concerned after one of the members of the popular K-pop group, Jungkook, received death threats from a stalker on Instagram. The hashtag #ProtectJungkook and the phrase “TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY” trended on Twitter as fans urged the group’s label Big Hit Music and agency HYBE to ensure the safety and privacy of the singer.

What happened?

The incident started when Jungkook posted a message on Weverse, a fan community platform, on May 4, asking fans not to send food to his home in Seoul. He wrote, "If you send it one more time, I will look up the receipt order number and take action, So please stop!". This was not the first time that Jungkook had to deal with fans invading his personal space.

A few days later, an Instagram user with the handle chu02859 claimed to be the sender of the food and accused Jungkook of being “rude” for refusing to eat it. The user also posted a series of disturbing stories with threats to kill Jungkook, including one with an image of a knife. The user said that they had tried to murder Jungkook before but failed because he was not at home.

How did fans react?

Fans were shocked and alarmed by the stalker’s actions and demanded that Big Hit Music and HYBE take immediate action to protect Jungkook from harm. They also reported and blocked the Instagram account that made the threats. Many fans expressed their love and support for Jungkook and hoped that he was safe and happy.

What is the status now?

As of now, neither Jungkook nor Big Hit Music or HYBE have issued any statement regarding the death threats or the stalker. Fans are hoping that the authorities will take swift and serious action to prevent any harm to Jungkook or any other member of BTS.

I dont usually send asks and have been following your blog for a some time and you I really like duo dynamics series.

I wanted to address this issue of fans lining up at the airport to see BTS in NY and how almost everyone on TW is shaming them for it and that its invading their privacy.

Now unless its about following them to their hotel and sharing hotel info etc which is clearly seasang behaviour, what is really wrong in standing outside an airport behind the barriers and waving and taking their pictures at the airport?

Isnt it the same as fans waiting for BTS outside the Billboard awards venue or korean fans waiting for idols outside music bank recording studios.

I dont know if they were crowded/mobbed at the airport but from what i have seen on tw are pics of just some fans waiting behind barriers and bts being taken to their cars while waving back at the fans.

Personally to me it seems they would have been happy to see the US armies greet them since they came back after almost 2 years.

Maybe I am missing something here and will be happy to understand how others view this but it seems to me sometimes the fandom has a habit of being overprotective and babying the members too much.

Hi, you seem nice, so I'll also try to be nice in answering this. But please try to understand how frustrating it is to get an ask dismissing a situation as army being overprotective when you don't have the full information. If you want to know why people are so upset because you don't understand, phrase it as a question. Don't just dismiss it out of pocket because you don't understand. Ask if there is info missing. I don't know if you are new to the fandom, but they have had issues with fans in airports many times. And it's a serious problem.

Yes, people crowding them at the airport is a problem. Let's talk about why. First and foremost, because Big Hit told people NOT to do it and to not show up at the airport and crowd the artists who are exhausted and just got off a very long flight:

Not to mention that yesterday, they were not traveling as Idols, but they were traveling as Diplomatic Ambassadors to the Korean President. So the behavior from fans in NY was just embarrassing honestly and lacked respect.

There is also a difference for sure between crowding them at an airport where they asked you to give them space and waiting outside Billboard or music bank to watch rehearsals and to see them. One of those events ARMYs and fans are invited to. The other they are not. Check the screenshot from BH above. The first bullet point. Airports are NOT offical events BTS attend. Music Bank/Billboard and other music shows or performances ARE official events.

So on top of BH saying don't come to the airports. They also tried to keep their flight info a secret. It got leaked by sasaengs who not only just leaked their flight info but also the exact tracking details on their flight. Big Hit and BTS did not want yall there. We had fans in NY showing up and crowded against barricades as soon as BTS walked out. Fans where the majority of them were not wearing masks, in the middle of a pandemic, in a country with covid rates that are still soaring. Fans who were screaming on the timeline how they got to touch Jungkook's arm or how close they managed to get to Jin, etc. And if you actually saw the video "they quickly grabbed all their things before bracing themselves out in the hall. Then they quickly speed walked through the crowd, trying to get out the door as fast as possible. No one smiled. 5 of the 7 members refused to even look up. Only 3 of the 7 members waved to the crowd, but that's because they are polite and kind and love ARMY even if ARMY is being disrespectful at the moment. Want a nice example of BTS being surprised by ARMYs and actually being happy and thrilled to see her? This is one:

Want more examples of why this isn't okay? People showing up at airports and filming sites that they aren't supposed to be at SCARES the members. Shoving cameras and phones in their faces freaks them out especially when no one backs off and gives them their space while they do it. Tae and Hobi BOTH have told us this before. Also not to mention that yes they are worldwide now, they often get compared to the legendary status of the Beetles and how they will go down in History. Anyone remember that the Beetles started to refuse to go on tours in their final years because they were primarily concerned for their personal safety around their fans? Celebrities are owed personal space and privacy too. And their team and security got them through NY this time very quickly and without much incident thank goodness, but if you haven't seen the videos where things go wrong because of crowds like this, then let me share some because you should.

The way they crowded and yanked on them, to the point where they knocked Jimin to the ground and he couldn't get back up until his bodyguard grabbed him:

Jin on a filming site and was crowded and jostled both here at the site when he was trying to leave and again at the airport

When Jhopes bodyguard had to shove a fan away from him in the airport when she ran up to them literally trying to get right next to him:

When Yoongi shoved Jimin behind him and Tae moved in front of them when a women they didn't recognize approached them looking like she was going in Jimin's direction, and if that doesn't show you how on guard they are in airports, I don't know what does:

The distance I see kept between fansites, and fans in Korea is always much more respectful than I see in international airports. Still not great, but they are celebrities and not much to do about people wanting pictures everutime you do anything. But this is not cool. The shoving and the screaming. The not wearing a mask in a pandemic. The using leaked info to find out when they are landing so you can wait at the airport also not cool. Before flights were announced more and they traveled with a larger security team. Still not okay people showed up to crowd and film them, but at least they didn't hunt down information BTS didn't want them to have. This was disrespectful.

The only time BTS has ever expressed gratitude and seemed happy to see ARMY at the airport was during the purple ribbon projects. Which fans set up where they strung and held purple ribbon back to create a WIDE path for BTS to walk down without anyone being able to pass the purple ribbon. It gave them their space and their safety as they went through the airport. They were very grateful. I would love to see those purple ribbons make a come back honestly and keep people from following them to their cars and from trying to touch them. Tae even took pictures with the ribbon to post to thank ARMYs for respecting them and keeping them safe.

Notice the distance kept between fans and BTS with this purple ribbon idea. No one followed behind them either once they passed by

In the end, if BTS wanted fans there, they wouldn't have tried to hard to keep their flight info and travel plans on the down low. They wouldn't have rushed out of that airport so quickly. And if ARMY was more respectful. They wouldn't have gone. Or at the very least, they would have been masked, socially distanced and made sure to keep their damn space and stay away from them. And they wouldn't have followed them out to their cars. And they wouldn't have tried to follow them to their hotel to find out where they are staying.

BTS got to travel for the first time in 2 years and they weren't even allowed to arrive in peace and get to relax. Hopefully they can now that they are safe in their hotel and that the hotel is doing everything they can to make sure they are SAFE while staying with them. If you aren't invited somewhere like an offical BTS event, you shouldn't go.

Hopefully this helped explain it a little bit. But yeah, there definitely is a difference in why some locations are okay for fans to hang out in and some are not. And leaking travel information is never okay. Just because something is legal doesn't make it morally ethical or okay to do.

You were heartbroken. How someone you hadn’t known very long could make it hurt so badly you weren’t sure. But man, did it hurt.

So many times over the next week you debated just showing up at his place, hearing his side, figuring out a next step together. You missed him.

But then you would recall him telling you to get in the closet, acting like a coward, like you were his meaningless dirty little secret. Reminding yourself of these things kept you from going over there.

In fact, you barely left your apartment at all. The same loneliness of when you first moved to Seoul becoming ever so prevalent again. You vowed to try and go out and make friends when all this Jungkook stuff was just a distant memory.

However, it proved difficult to make it all fade away in your mind since you were still scheduled to clean his apartment. To go back to the place where it all came to a beginning. And an abrupt end.

With hesitation, you slipped the key into the lock of the front door the following Tuesday. You insisted he not be there that last time you saw him, but what if he wanted to reconcile? You gulped and opened the black wooden door.

Silence.

He wasn’t on the couch in front of the tv waiting for you. He wasn’t in the kitchen eating a bowl of cereal. He wasn’t in the master bathroom taking a quick shower. Jungkook wasn’t here. You didn’t know if you felt relieved or disappointed, but you didn’t give yourself time to think about it as you immediately noticed the state of the home. It wasn’t cleaned like all the weeks prior. It was lived in, messy even.

So that was it. Back to square one. You alone in the apartment of a famous and wealthy Korean celebrity with a job to do.

 A few days later you were laying on the couch in your studio loft apartment. It was dark outside since it was 12:47am, the only light was coming from the iridescent blue glow of the television. This had become a routine now, you turning on the tv but not watching anything in particular, just so there was noise and something to get your mind off everything. Some nights you never even made it upstairs to your bed.

And tonight your eyes began to slowly drift shut, your thoughts traveling elsewhere, the beginning of sleep taking over.

All of the sudden, you heard Jungkook’s name from the television. Or had you dreamt it? However, when your eyes opened in shock and confusion, his ever familiar face appeared on the screen. It was the same show you had seen while scrolling channels at Jungkook’s a couple months ago you realized, the trashy one where random people discuss the lives of famous actors and musicians. You sat up and tried to focus on the delayed English subtitles coming up at the bottom of the screen.

 “… an official statement from both their companies was released.”

“So, it is true?”

“I would say that solidifies it.”

Cho-hee’s picture popped up. Followed by one taken outside at night of her and Jungkook walking and laughing. Then a graphic of a zig-zag shaped rip formed between their bodies, and the picture ripped in half, a broken heart and crying face appearing between them.

 “Wow. They seemed so happy. I really thought this would last.”

“They’re so young and busy, no need to settle down yet.”

“But still, this begs the question… is love even real?”

 *laughter*

 Then they moved on to talking about another kpop idol.

Your felt your heart pound inside your chest. Jungkook and Cho-hee had “broken up”? Their companies had let them? They were no longer in a secret fake relationship? You couldn’t help but wonder what happened.

With shaky hands, you picked up your phone from the coffee table and opened the internet. Curiosity was getting the better of you, your desire to read those statements greater than your will to stop yourself from trying to remove all evidence of Jeon Jungkook from your brain.

 You stared at your phone in shock, rereading it a couple times to make sure it was real.

So, they really ended their fake relationship? Was because of Jungkook or Cho-hee? Or their companies? What was the real reason? Who was the perpetrator?

So many theories and questions ran through your head, furthering your exhaustion, and soon enough you drifted off to sleep, head full of images and thoughts of Jeon Jungkook.

The following Tuesday started off like any other. The sound of your alarm blaring woke you up out of a deep sleep at 4:00 in the morning. You groaned and hit the snooze button, questioning why you chose a job where you had to work so early… and basically all your other life decisions. (You were, in fact, not a morning person).

Eventually you sat up and rubbed your puffy eyes, removing the sleep from their corners. You yawned and stretched your arms up high before reaching for your phone on your nightstand. You checked Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, of course, then like every morning, you opened your work schedule, just to see if there had been any changes to the course of the day ahead.

 And boy, was there.

 For under the 2pm slot was the same unit number that had been there for weeks, however this time one word next to it caught your immediate attention.

 Vacancy.

You stopped dead in your tracks.

Wait, what?

Clearly this was wrong. This was Jungkook’s apartment! There was no way it was now empty. He had never mentioned the fact that he wanted to move, that he was going to move. This would have come up in a conversation with him at least once if it was this sudden.

Yes, his stuff would still be there when you arrived to clean this afternoon. He still owned it, still lived there. He wasn’t gone. Right?

Wrong.

To your surprise, when you opened the door, the entire apartment was empty. Everything was gone. It was cold and echo-y and barren. Dust covered the hardwood floors of the living room where the rug had laid. Harsh sunlight poured in through the large windows, no longer shielded by the curtains that had previously been hanging there. The walls were now bare, small holes left from the various works of art that were once on display.

The memories of the times being with Jungkook flooded your brain almost instantly. Playing games and watching shows and movies on his large sofa. The time he admitted he was cleaning just so he could hang out with you. When you would two would sit at the kitchen island and eat delicious food, talking and laughing about anything and everything. When he told you he had feelings for you. The first of many times you made love.

Overcome by those thoughts, you finally allowed yourself to break down.

The sound of your sobs and unsteady breathes bounced off the walls and echoed throughout the room, tears cascading down your hot cheeks.

Maybe you were being dramatic. Maybe Jungkook had turned out to be a coward. Maybe he had been using you for sex and company. Maybe he had lied about having feelings for you. Who knows?

But even if had been all pretend for him, you had still fallen in love with him.

You could finally admit that the past two weeks since you saw him last you may have been holding on to some kind of hope. Hope that he wasn’t a coward, hadn’t been using you, did have feelings for you; and all that would become evident if you ever saw each other again, if he was ever at his apartment when you came to clean like he had been so many other times.      

But now it was as if the universe was laughing at you for falling for someone so unattainable and complicated.

He was gone, and you had no way of contacting him.

Eventually you pulled yourself together enough to start the long cleaning process for a vacant unit. Every surface, cupboard, drawer, nook and cranny had to be spotless so new potential buyers could tour the home.

You started in the living room: vacuuming, mopping and dusting, making sure the floor, walls, and windows were shining.

Then you moved into the adjoining kitchen, spraying and wiping every countertop, the refrigerator, the island. You even had to open each drawer and cabinet to wipe those down, too.

But as you opened the last upper cabinet to clean its inside as well, you suddenly caught your breath in your throat.

For there inside the cupboard was a box of cereal. Your favorite cereal. The same kind of cereal you had eaten with Jungkook in this very kitchen the first day you met.

He must have just left it on accident.

With a shaky hand, you grabbed it and brought it down to eye level. That’s when you noticed the envelope taped to the front of the box.

Your heart pounding, you ripped it off and tore it open.

Inside was a letter, and as you unfolded it something fell out and into your hand.

It was a ticket.

To a BTS fanmeeting event.

What?

Your eyes moved to the handwritten letter.

 ‘There are so many things I wish I had done differently. You didn’t deserve what I asked of you that day. I’m so sorry I handled everything so poorly. I don’t blame you for questioning everything and leaving. I was a coward. I know this now.

Please, please come see me. Please come to this event. I understand if you don’t. I just want nothing more than to see you and talk to you again.’

 And then, at the very bottom,

So yeah, I've been simmering this idea for a month or two now. It can be read as a standalone, but is meant as a prequel to my other fic, Blind Trust. The song is Waste It on Me by Steve Aoki ft. BTS and you should totally give it a listen!

Moving Saeran into the bunker was a deceptively difficult task. Mostly because he had limited possessions, clothes that wouldn't even fill a backpack, and, to top it all off, no bed to sleep in. So, the twins left to go shopping for necessities, leaving Vanderwood and MC to deal with the chaos of the bunker. They tackled various tasks to attempt to clean up the place as best they could, but eventually, there was only so much more that could be done without the items from the shopping trip. So yeah, I figure dealing with the dysfunctional is just a part of my life now, and I haven't dated for a while for good reason. At this point, trying to find 'love', whatever that means, is just a waste of my time."

MC snorted, but Vanderwood held up a finger before she could open her mouth. "Second of all, I know I'm the last person you should ask about love, but I do know this. Real love isn't like that. He may not have gotten much right, but joining the agency to keep Saeran safe was the real stuff, even if it didn't go as planned. Sacrifice just so that the other could live a better life, finding each other again under absurd circumstances, learning enough about each other to be able to come to a truce, finding ways to compromise. It may not be the same kind of love, but that's what love is, MC. Each giving all for the good of the other."

"Wow," MC finally managed to get out. "I guess it's been a while since that sort of thing even occurred to me. But it's not like it matters anyway, since I'm not likely to find anyone who's even decent to me, much less has that kind of mindset. So like I said, it's just a waste of time."

Vanderwood growled in frustration. "Why is it so hard for you to believe that you deserve good things and that those things aren't unrealistic?" He ran a hand through his hair. "Why do you think it's such a waste of your time if you know what you want and what you don't want and if it could make you happy?"

"Because I've lived over a quarter of a century and not seen it once, Vanderwood!" Her voice broke. "Not once."

He gritted his teeth. "Fine then, MC. Fine. If love is nothing more than just a waste of your time, why not waste it on me?"

His jaw dropped at the realization of the words that had just fallen from his lips. MC's eyes widened.

"Uh—I mean—"

"I don't know what to say. I've just...been single for so long that I don't even know what it feels like to have feelings for someone anymore. But I mean, you're attractive and all that. And quite honestly, you reminded me today of what love even looks like. So I think that's a good place to start."

"I...don't even know how to respond to that. I didn't even plan to ask you out today, much less expect that I'd get a positive response. I have to warn you, though, we won't be on even ground." MC groaned, but Vanderwood continued, "We won't be on even ground because you hadn't even considered dating me until today, whilst I couldn't shake my admiration for you since the moment you first opened your mouth. Believe me, I wanted to. But I couldn't ignore the grace and strength with which you handled the insanity involved in dismantling Mint Eye and the agency, one right after the other. He pursed his lips. "I may not understand firsthand what you've gone through, but I've dealt with a lot of seedy men over my career, and I know what they're like. I also know that simply saying I won't be like them won't convince you, but I will do my utmost to prove it to you through my actions."

Ok. I have to say something because i can’t take this anymore. ‪Jungkook is one of the most unproblematic idols in kpop but he gets the most crap from everyone. Antis and armys. Like he’s doing something wrong constantly when he literally does nothing but work hard, make music, perform, love his fans and he barely gets on social media. The dude doesn’t even talk much in interviews. Yet everyone has something against him.‬ People think he’s bighits favorite. People think he’s spoiled (like he hasn’t been working his butt off since he was a CHILD). People think he’s a line hogger. People think he gets too much attention and it affects the other members so they have something against him like it’s his fault for getting attention even though it’s something that he can NOT control. Yes some armys have admitted to hating Jungkook because he’s the “popular one”. Some people think he’s cocky. Some people think he’s rude to his hyungs. Every single time he breathes people mock him for his hair his lips his clothes his intelligence etc. When he started getting attention for his long hair antis got angry and bitter. When a video of him eating a damn apple gained almost 2M likes on twitter locals randomly started attacking him and calling him very homophobic and racist things. On his birthday some armys on twitter started so much drama that he wasn’t even the main focus on HIS BIRTHDAY! When BTS returned from their break armys and antis mocked Jungkook’s hair and his appearance saying he looked homeless and ugly and he needed to cut it.. Then the very recent situation that happened that I won’t even go into detail about armys and antis spread it like wildfire and even attacked/shamed other people (his friends) involved in the process and also attacked/shamed him. And sadly these are just SOME of the things he deals with. There’s alot more. He can’t win. No matter what he does he can’t win. I just want people to leave Jungkook alone. Stop mocking him for everything. Stop being bitter towards him because you think bh favors him and he takes all the attention from the other members when that is not true. Stop sexualizing him. Stop babying him like he can’t think on his own. Stop invading his privacy. RESPECT him. Jungkook loves his fans so much he got it tattooed on his hand. The love he has for his fans his music his hyungs his family and friends is so pure and beautiful. Show him that love back. I am tired of him receiving so much negativity and hate for literally no reason at all. I truly believe he doesn’t deserve any of it.
