You lay on the white couch in the living room, snuggled up against one of the many pillows. Since Lawrence's death, Ren hadn't brought someone else to the house. It's not like he always abuses you—only when you disobeyed or when he suddenly felt the need to ''strengthen'' your bond. But there was always the fear lingering in the back of your mind, making you remember that day vividly. What if Ren got bored of you? What if he got sick of you? You pressed your face further against the pillow, trying to banish those thoughts. There was no need to dwell on the what-ifs. You should focus on the present.

Even though he kidnapped you, Ren had been strangely considerate and patient with you, which you still aren't used to. Your thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a bloodcurdling scream.

"P-PLEASE, NO!"

You hastily sat up and looked around. What was going on? You wondered, too afraid to move. Before you could calm yourself down, another scream erupted from what seemed like the basement.

You let out a gasp and your breathing quickened in panic as the screams got louder. Each shriek was like a piercing knife, setting your nerves on edge. You forced yourself to stand up, your feet shook as you looked around the corner cautiously, only to confirm your suspicion. The basement door was open. Another scream tore through the air, louder and more gruesome than before. Ren's harsh voice followed, shouting back, what seemed in a frustrated tone, at his new victim.

The sounds clashed in your mind, causing you to stumble back. You pressed yourself into the corner of the room, sliding down as the screams got louder. Your hands clamped over your ears, trying to muffle out the noise, but to no avail. Tears begin to well up in your eyes as your chest tightens. Their screaming echoed and they just got louder and louder as your breaths came in shallow, ragged gasps. Tears were now spilling down your face as you let out quiet, fearful sobs. You could hardly think, every sound felt like a painful spike.

Lost in your panic, you didn't even realize that the screaming suddenly came to a halt. You pressed your legs against your chest and lowered your head as more sobs escaped you, trying to steady your breathing. Your panic was suddenly interrupted by a gentle hand on your shoulder. You looked up in a daze only to see Ren smiling down at you, his smile twisted in a way that could only be described as horrifying. You looked at him in horror as you noticed that his clothes and face were covered in blood.

His fingers brushed your hair, covering the top of your hair with blood. "There... there..." he murmured, his voice oddly soothing.

"Sorry, this was on me... I forgot to close the door." He chuckled as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his embrace with a surprising force. The sticky and warm feeling of the blood made your stomach churn, but Ren didn't seem to pay your discomfort any mind. "Shh... It's alright," He whispered, his soft tail wrapping around you. "I'm here."

You hesitantly nuzzled your face against him, your body still too frozen to move, but still trembling nonetheless. He continued to hold you close even after you managed to steady your breathing. You gently began stroking his tail, its softness providing a small comfort against the storm of sensations overwhelming your thoughts.

Slowly, you grew more accustomed to the smell of the blood, though it still made your stomach slightly churn. After a few more minutes he slightly pulled back, his hands brushing against your face. His fingers gently wiped the remaining of your tears away, smearing blood on you in the progress and you tried your best not to flinch at the feeling.

"There you go! All better now!"

You let out a trembling hum and nodded soflty. Everything's better now.
