I've been seeing so many people making their own Shipwrecked OCs so I thought maybe I could give it a shot!

Her pronouns are They/He/She! ^^ They're a kitten character who originated from Cogware's first game, but Liz while she was designing him kinda sorta forgot to..

Actually give him whiskers.

So she has none despite their name XD

Then later on when Liz, Connor, and Harry were developing Shipwrecked, they decided pretty early on that they wanted to put a nod to Blundedcover into it, to show how far they've come! Now they had literal Broadside Animations working along side them!! They were so close to being a successful game studio!! :D What would their little nod to Blundedcover be? They decided it would be the little whiskerless kitten Whiskerz! :D I haven't decided why yet. Maybe Patt made her! So Connor was more attached to them. I dunno yet!

So now they live on Nulla Terra!! As one of the few non-wulf inhabitants of the island! ^^ They also look up to Wulf, and probably Stumbler too! :3 Maybe they enjoy art like Stumbler too! Maybe because of him he decided to try out making art!! :D I haven't thought much about her parents, but I'm thinking he could be an orphan ;w; That being said, that's all I have so far for them! :D I hope to draw more of them now that I actually have an OC, they're a lil bean ^^

Hi, I asked a previous question about the Wonders of Creation and am wondering what animal the "shāh-dawār" is supposed to be? (Sadly I don't have the Persian characters for it). I have an English textbook translation of the London Qazvīnī and it says that the painting of that creature is missing from that edition, but that it is present in others. It doesn't describe what it is supposed to be either.

I already covered it in detail here! If you mean “what real-world animal is it based on”, it’s most likely an oryx. Its older name is āras, which is likely derived from oryx.

Of course, you wouldn’t be able to tell from some illustrations, like the BSB’s version.

Musical animals were very popular back then, I can think of at least three offhand.

It has 42 to 72 branches on its horn, although some artists like the one below, cheated, making it just a multiperforated horn.

Incidentally, the shadawār’s description as a carnivore is libel. That happened when the carnivorous sirānis got confused with it.

Of course the shadawār is a mythical creature and doesn’t have to be based on anything. Look at what nice music it makes!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Absolutely as much as I can. Honestly, the joy that comments spark is like nothing else. Can I be a little tardy at times? Yes. I am me after all. 

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Angst? I don’t know them. I don’t even think there’s much angst in any of my fics… maaaaaaybe an Edward x Jasper one from back in the day? But even that has a happy ending. 

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Hard to say one is happier than another, though A Humble Request is pretty soft and happy throughout with a happy glimpse into the future?

8. Do you get hate on fics? Happy to say, no. 

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Smut lite? Soft smut? Smut that wants to be more smut but the author has a hard time? I’ll keep trying though.

you shouldn't take anything i say or make on this blog as indication of how i see these characters outside of the boom universe, given that i view the boom versions as completely different people from their mainline counterparts. this includes characters that weren't ever in boom yet have boom ideas for (e.g. rouge)

RATING EVERY BEYBLADE DRAGON

IT'S APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY AND OF COURSE, I AM ALWAYS APPRECIATING DRAGONS BUT TODAY I'M GONNA DO IT EVEN MORE! and well. beyblade sure does have many dragons! so i looked through em all (or atleast, as many as i have good pics of) and i am going to rate All Of Them. i'm also gonna be rating these out of 5 stars because i'm really bad at rating things out of 10

unfortunately, because i cannot find any high quality pictures of many bit chip-exclusive designs, some of them will not be mentioned. trust me i wish i had pics of em all

dragoon/seiryu: the azure dragon, the absolute og. i mean not THE original but i don't have any good images of ultimate dragoon or whatever it's called's bit chip. 5/5 it's fucking seiryu

cyber dragoon: i've literally been insane about the digital sacred beasts plotline for MONTHS now. not quiiiite five stars but almost.

dark dragoon: i only ever got halfway through the movie i'm gonna be real. nothing Bad about this one but if i want a seiryu recolor i'd definitely go for cyber dragoon instead, 3 stars

gaia dragoon/koryu: this is probably the closest bsb has to an average western dragon, not too much of note although the colors.. do not look very threatening to be honest. 3 stars, gets one taken off because i swear i had a render of it and i'm genuinely pretty bummed i couldn't find it

dark gaia dragoon: as i said before i never finished the movie so i have no idea how this thing is in that. looks sick as fuck in the concept art though, 5/5 stars

amphilyon/amphisbaena: yeah so for some fucking reason this is the only sacred beast besides the main 5 to have a name other than that of its corresponding bey. not sure what's up with that but honestly this thing looked way cooler when we saw it in season 1 than it is in full color. 3 and a half stars, i'd put it at 2 and a half but giancarlo is neat

DRAGOON VARIANT LIGHTNING ROUND

ice: it sure is dragoon and it sure is ice. not much of note here, 3 stars master: i'm not fond of any of the master variants but this is probably the second best one behind master draciel. 1 and a half stars spark: if the fact that i went and drew it once didn't tip you off i think this one goes fucking hard. 5 stars, wish we saw it in the anime death: i don't have anything to say other than yeah that's sick. 8/10 rock: it barely resembles seiryu but it DOES remind me of dire miralis from monster hunter so that's a plus, 3 stars metal: is it me or do the metal variants look slightly fucked up. i'm gonna be real i kind of wish these designs were used for the digital sacred beasts though ig that defeats the point of those being copies. anyway gonna give this one 3 and a half stars knight: this thing looks so generic it's insane i would see this in a set of fantasy-themed stock art. zero stars it's not even fucking blue kids: weird little freak. 2.5 stars

that completes bakuten shoot, leading into metal fight. i know almost none of these and if i missed any, it's because i'm mainly going off the ones listed in @mach-speed-spin's post on dragon beyblades.

L-drago: like the ONLY cool creature design i saw in mfb before i dropped it. 4/5 i don't care if it's evil i think it's Neat

orochi: this is just a skylander you can't trick me. it would make a damn good one though, 2.5 stars

leviathan: yeah this one goes pretty hard. 4 stars

i'm gonna be real mfb didn't have a lot in the first place but i hit the image limit so dragooon (three Os) and behemoth aren't here sorry to any fans of those

finally is burst, which i keep hearing has too many dragons, and to that i say fuck you there's no such thing as too many dragons. for the record because of how many variations some of these have across the seasons i'm only gonna be rating their original designs.

wyvern: that's a wyvern alright! 4/5

quetzalcoatl: i wasn't sure whether to count this one as a dragon but wikipedia says quetzalcoatl is a dragon so i'll take their word on this. 2 out of 5, it's fine i guess.

longinus: banger design but i would punt lui without hesitation given the opportunity. goes from a 5/5 to a 3/5 because of that.

fafnir: almost a pretty solid dragon design but idk man the beak is really throwing me off here. 2.5 stars.

bahamut: oh this is ABSOLUTELY a banger, and associated with a character who deserved more screentime. 5/5

kukulcan: another one that's apparently a dragon according to wikipedia. kurt's actual character is neat but his design made me go "wait this guy looks kinda like ghasem" and his avatar made me go "wait this looks kinda like quetzalcoatl". 2.5 stars

salamander: the only dragon introduced in cho-z and honestly i don't even have anything to say here just look at it. that thing's fucking awesome, 5 and a half stars

dragon: that's a dragon babe! 5/5

diabolos: this thing looks like it wouldn't be out of place in a hot sauce ad. decent design but the pattern on it's front kinda throws me off, solid 3 stars

genesis: I'VE HEARD THIS THING IS A DRAGON ENOUGH THAT I GUESS IT GOES HERE BUT LOOKING AT IT I'M NOT SO SURE ABOUT THAT. THAT'S A FUCKED UP MAN. 1.5 stars, i don't know yugioh much but this thing looks like it would probably be pretty at home there

apocalypse: it doesn't really feel like what i'd expect an apocalypse dragon to look like which holds it back, but i do prefer it over genesis. 3.5 stars

y'know, i'm kind of curious as to your thoughts on the outfits in those pieces of promo art that dropped. unsurprisingly i honed in on bsb and... the fashion choices are. interesting to put it lightly. like:

takao and rei: they look awful i'm sorry. out of the four of them whoever decided they were going with a plaid look is insane.

max: he looks okayish? it's not a max vibe but it looks better than it does on takao and ESPECIALLY rei

kai: the best looking out of the main four, mostly because you can barely see the plaid. also he shook things up a bit seemingly as opposed to literally just wearing a tuxedo.

daichi: he looks awful but also to be fair like. daichi is not a formal wear kind of person literally nothing you could give him would fit

yuriy: it looks fine in the art but like. in practice imagine going to some fancy party and some dude shows up wearing a bright orange suit. dude literally out here with this team flare grunt lookin outfit 😭

mathilda: she looks Fine. no strong feelings either way

brooklyn and kyojyu: lumping them together because my thoughts are basically the same, they're wearing their usual attire but it does look good so it could be worse

michael: no comment needed. ???/10. i don't know if i love it or hate it. who even invited him here he's like barely there in g-rev

overall the bsb one alone is the outfit collection ever and seeing as how you rated the fashion of characters from every series i'm curious as to how you feel on the art for all 3 series

Takao and Rei: I agree entirely. It really doesn't work for them

Max: Unlike Takao and Rei, I can actually see Max wearing a tuxedo

Kai: Kai has always had immaculate drip so it's no surprise he looks great

Daichi: He should've just worn his G-Rev outfit

Yuriy: Bro got the traffic cone tuxedo. 10/10

Kyojyu and Brooklyn: I have the same opinion as do on their canon outfits. Kyojyu looks good (though not as good as in G-Rev) and Brooklyn looks great

Mathilda: She's alright but doesn't stand out much

Michael: 11/10 he makes me a proud American (despite not being American in the first place). I think every US president should wear that to their inauguration

Kyoya: I can't believe he's not wearing a crop top. I refuse to believe this

Yu: His top half is the same but his shorts are different and it really doesn't match

except i ended up clicking westlife mvs again n again 💀 bc they're My fav of the 00s boybands despite only knowing like 5 songs. i'm too young to remember much back then.

after looping the same few songs i wanted sth new so......... i clicked on their old and new (post break) mvs. fell down the rabbit hole 🧍🤸 and. idk what kinda coincidence is this... found out they're gonna tour here, in 3 provinces, and my city is included :). last quarter 2022 they've done 3 dates too. what's better is it's much cheaper than other cities bc it's a no-class 2 days festival with lots other musicians

here's the internal debate lol, i never went into a concert before 🧎. super loud music is v uncomfy to me ntm the potential of crowd pushing, im short and won't see a thing, can't drive, commuting at night scary, but what are the chances of Westlife™ doing a gig in my city and tickets are only $40???

i didn't plan to go, jst streamed dozens of their songs but with Longing.

D-2 concert, i saw tickets resale @ $20 from ppl who couldn't go, im 👁️👄👁️. so i texted my fav cousin if shes interested (thought she might like westlife... turns out she is a fan). she said "that's a short notice u r kinda crazy but let's go i will drive no worry".

fast forward day 1 went well the artists exceed my expectations 👌 but the struggle is at day 2 where westlife is hshsjss. long before their turn to play, we bought food and thought we still could get barricade,,, but no. the main stage is alrd crowded.

then the drama 👺 a group of girls basically harassed us verbally and by pushing bc we tried to chill n don't let them go in front of us. FINALLY before westlife turn, thank god idk where they went but we're just few meters away from barricade 🤘😔 except for some groups most of the crowd are chill. got near but still can't see them bc we're short. pain from tiptoeing 💀. also the small annoyance that only us who knew & sang the lyrics to their newer/less Hit songs but ppl who only knew 2 songs r at the front wkwkwk.

but it's ok bc westlife was GREATTTTT..... their vocals,, esp. mark high notes 👌🥲. Nostalgia power ndndjsks. they started with starlight and ended with you raise me up, total of like 14 songs?? and one short acoustic exclusive to this date. that's a Lot. just minus a few songs compared to the stadium date in previous city but 10 times cheaper. 🛐🛐

they're not That big worldwide but big in SEA... we rarely gets 'world tour' from most artists. locals joked they should rent house here by how often they come 😭 ofc they in turn said our support kept the band alive. im 🧍

bts could've done this bc SEA contributed a ton of stream and socmed engagement but ig hybe preferred quick western cash 💔 hybe kacang lupa kulit
