So I already been through the "You like a character who the fandom hates" back.when S1 Tremolo released. I didn't say anything because everyone didn't like him but now have watched the full episode,

Yeah I like Bruyea. Is he problematic? Probably. Do I care? No, not really. Are his actions weird? Yeah. Does that fact change anything? Probably not now

Anyway, seems all Darkmen have a weird thing to them. Maybe I'm assuming too early and I need to know the other 8 Mamas. My friend has a theory the purple figure is actually one but who are the others? One speculation as a type this is maybe the Tremolo girls? Mermaids and Bruyea's black sea thing would be connection. Of Course, there's literally no evidence to this but given how bridge is, not too surprising if it's canon. If anything, that means Tremolo and him can duel one day.

But don't confuse it, Tremolo is still my top Go Rush Favorite

I, Zeyet, decided to start this journal after watching Dark Matter's newcomer, Zuweejou, for some days.

If I remember right, his name was Zuweejou zir Velgear—I hope I wrote it right.

He was a super strange person.

One day, Dark Meister told Fukamura to take him to our headquarters alive. I do not understand why Dark Meister took an interest in him. He was undeniably strong. She might have felt his power. After all, nothing can hide from her in Dark Matter Space … right?

Zuweejou was super unsociable. But, somehow, Sabhuath liked him.

It was not like I hated him, but I did not know how to treat him anymore since he refused to even talk if it was not needed. So, I watched him for some days.

He mostly spent time loitering around the castle if he was not in Dark Meister's darkness. He was the most frequent guest to Dark Meister's darkness—I do not count Kuyamuya in because she is Dark Meister's closest aide. Even if he did not call, he would watch Dark Meister from afar. It was super weird. We, the Darkmen, of course, want to watch Dark Meister every time we can, but I was afraid it would be an impudent act to watch her so openly like that. At first, I was annoyed knowing this habit Zuweejou had, but now it made me wonder if he was just a clumsy man who did not know about manners.

Every time he looks at Dark Meister, he has a strange glint in his gaze. My guts tell me that Zuweejou might know Dark Meister better than us. It is really annoying.

Yesterday, Blhuair said that the look Zuweejou has for Dark Meister was improper. Was it because he actually just pretended to be loyal while mocking Dark Meister inside his head? But it does not sound right. What did Blhuair actually mean?

I finally plucked up the courage and requested an audience with Dark Meister. Wanting to meet her is one thing, but I am also curious about what she thought about Zuweejou's act.

"Just let him be. He's just like that."

Her words suggested that Dark Meister might have known Zuweejou long before we knew her.

Then, why did he act like he did not know Dark Meister when he was first taken to the castle?

"Zuwee's gaze. So suffocating. Full. Determination."

That was Sabhuath' comment when I talked about Zuweejou's act. Sabhuath was somehow enjoying the sight of Zuweejou watching over Dark Meister. What was actually good about it?

Dark Meister is calling us. I have to stop here today. I hope I can see Dark Meister longer today.

Dark Meister is someone from the light. Those guys from the light called Dark Meister "Yuamu".

Is it her name? What a beuatiful name she had.

Her real looks were smaller than the Dark Meister figure we always saw. She was so petite … that I was scared our enemy would crush her so easily with their filthy hands.

Zuweejou did not seem surprised when Dark Meister showed her real appearance. As Zuweejou was someone from the light side, he might realized her identity at some point. Zuweejou knew Dark Meister longer than us. He was actually our senior?

As Fukamura betrayed us and decided to stay behind, Zuweejou might be the one with the highest position on our side now. But, I did not feel any annoyance on that guess. He had the qualifications for that.

On the other hand, we got a newcomer from the light side. What was it again? "Yuuhi"? Dark Meister seemed to like him a lot. She did not say that, but we just realized. Yuuhi might be more terrifying than Zuweejou. Who is he actually?

We will have a meeting in a few minutes from now. I will make sure to discuss this Yuuhi person.

Zuweejou's determination to serve Dark Meister is deeper than I thought. Sabhuath did not seem to be surprised at Zuweejou's words when he said he would protect and fight for Dark Meister.

Who knew he kept that fiery spirit behind his cold demeanour?

A new curiosity hit me. Was he that close to Dark Meister? More than Yuuhi, her brother?

Yuuhi seems to not understand Dark Meister even though he is her sibling. But, on the other hand, Zuweejou seems like he will even offer the galaxy to her if she wishes for it.

Now that Yuuhi has become our underling officially, I can ask a lot about Dark Meister to him.

Different from what I thought, Zuweejou was not that close to Dark Meister. They did not even interact that much—according to Yuuhi. Both of them interacted more with someone called Yuudias—who once defeated me—than they interacted with each other.

Blhuair said it might be unrequited. I did not understand what he meant. Yuuhi might be the same as me.

I thought I could hear more about Dark Meister and Zuweejou, but what could be done if they did not even interact much in the past?

Then, was Zuweejou pledged himself to Dark Meister purely because of her resolution? If yes, then he is seriously a strange guy. I cannot guess what is on his head, more than Dark Meister. At least, Dark Meister has richer expressions than Zuweejou. Now that she uses her real appearance more, she become way more cuter than before.

Oh, no, I am talking about Dark Meister again. Should I just change this journal to Dark Meister Observation Journal?

Anyway, as long as Zuweejou is loyal to Dark Meister, then there is no problem. Zuweejou, I am really looking forward to his service.

A/N: Thank you for reading. I am using different spellings for The Darkmen's names because of some super trivial personal obsession with name spelling. Anyway, in my head, The Darkmen just could not help but give their affection to Dark Meister, so I made Zeyet look like a simp for Yuamu. I do not mind how readers interpret Zeyet's affection for Yuamu. Since the latest arc, especially since the episode where Zuweejou revived and pledged to Dark Meister, I just cannot help but be impatient for GO RUSH's episodes every week. I just want to see my lovely girl, Yuamu. She is just my favourite since the first episode. I hope I have the power to make another fanwork for Yuamu. ✨

Go Rush Episode 114 + Dark Matter Empire Thoughts

I have finally caught up to Go Rush Episode 114 and honestly, I'm hoping Yuamu can save this arc. So far, it's not been great and I think that's due to the fact that the Darkmen are such flat characters. Also, they just had to give them the weirdest traits to try and make them unique.

Sabyuas is a sadist. His obsession with Zwijo is also weird, but at least it gives him a little more character than some of the others. He has two duels and loses both of them.

Bruyea just calls people his mommy. That's it. That's literally the only thing I could tell you about him because there is nothing else. He has one duel and loses.

Zeyet is a cheer captain which means she's just yelling all the time. I'm sorry, but she's so annoying. Again, that is literally all her character is. She has one duel and loses.

Fukamura's quirky trait is that he's a shut in. He at least shows a little more competency than the others by stealing Zwijo's deck while he's on Valvelgear. He is also shown to have moments of thought in Episode 114 (the bar is in hell). He has one duel which he loses.

Listen, Yuamu has been shown to be one of the smartest and cunning characters in the show and you're telling me THESE ARE THE PEOPLE SHE'S WORKING WITH. THEY'RE INCOMPETENT. They can't win a duel, they pose no threat, and they aren't interesting in the slightest.

And it's not that they were given weird traits. So many Yugioh characters have weird traits. Take Quattro from Yugioh Zexal for example. He's also a sadist like Sabyuas. He enjoys beating up his opponents in duels. The difference is that IT IS NOT HIS ONLY CHARACTER TRAIT. He has his relationship with Shark and also his family (who was a really interesting villain group). The Darkmen don't even have a dynamic with each other. Their few interactions feel meaningless.

It's just so dull to watch them. I think there are some things that the show could go into about them to give them some more character:

They all seem to adore the Dark Meister a lot. Why? What has the Dark Meister done for them?

The Dark Matter Empire is very new. What were these people doing before that?

Yuamu is revealed as the Dark Meister and the Darkmen are going to find out that she has a relationship with the people who are seemingly their enemies. Is this going to change how they see her? Will they be less loyal to her?

I hope Yuamu is done justice in this arc. They've set her up in a really interesting position and if it follows through, I will be happy. I'm sure she knows about the state of the Velgearians that we just discovered and I'm curious if her goal is to save them in her own way or something else. Zwijo is currently allied with her (that's a dangerous duo). He probably knew it was her when he came to the Dark Matter Empire or I think she told him, but whatever her goal and methods are, clearly Zwijo agrees with them. There's a lot of possibilities that I think could be good, so I hope the show delivers.

Yes, I am including manga Yuzu in my tribute to Yugioh moms. If you don't like it, ignore it. Yes, there are other moms in zeXal but I figured the main protag and final antag took priority. Sadly GX and Vrains have very few moms to speak of, literally all I could think of was O'Brien's mum and Takeru's grandma. Unless you want to count Shoichi as a single parent lmao

So Arc 10 is over and man, what a meh arc. (ranting incoming)

The main point of this arc was Yuamu trying to becoming Otes, wasting so much time to get Monster Reborn in her hands just to ultimately fail at reaching her goal and paying a big price for her bs in the shape of Yuhi's memories. Well that and Yuna taking over Mutsuba Town with the help of Yuamu.

Yudias? What was he even doing? Oh, he beat Fukamura - wait no, that's on Kuaidul. But he beat Luge again. That's it? He made a deck to make Yuamu unable to use MR just to use it himself which did nothing on him anyway? So not even some "crazy Yudias state thanks to MR" we got for the arc final? He's our freaking main protagonist! Why are the writers barely do shit with him?? I didn't even care for his interactions with Kuaidul because what we got in the last episode felt like "Oh yeah, Kuaidul exists, quick have him talk with Yudias before the arc is over" to me.

Zwijo? Declared himself as Yuamu's protector and fighter, defeated Yuhi in a duel and later showed Zeyet and Sabyuas how to buy cards while looking like a proud dad. The majority of time, he was really just wasting time or following Yuamu around. If he had been at least a double agent who would've secretly helped Yudias and co. but no, he really did nothing relevant. He was just like "You don't have the resolve like Yuamu" at Yuhi just to get shocked at what Yuhi eventually did as his "resolve".

Yuhi? This hurts to say as he's my fave character but boy, wtf was HE even doing this arc? So he hangs out mostly with Yuamu's gang, duels Yuamu once to protect Damamu (his best moment of the arc imo), most of the arc is "Idk what I can do to stop Yuamu", stupid shopping episode where he seems to have found resolve at the end of it just to go back to "I can't duel her" in the arc final - until he randomly decides it's time for HIM to become Otes. Because he's Yuamu's big brother and must protect her. Aw, so sweet of him becoming the previous show's central antag just to protect Yuamu so she can feel bad about it and start her redemption in the next arc. :))

Yuamu? God, Idk what to say about her now besides I absoutely don't feel bad for her. Heck, after Yuhi said he's gonna become Otes, what did she do? Kneeling down to hug Kuyamuya and cry. I thought YOU wanted to become Otes, Yuamu? Why did you just accept Yuhi doing what he did? When he took away your duel disk, why didn't you bother fighting him? Why were you just standing there with a sad face? You didn't have to agree with what Yuhi was doing! Look, if Yuamu had been badly hurt by Yudias' attack or even unconscious, I could've seen Yuhi stepping in and take over for her because she wouldn't have been able to stop him. But she wasn't hurt at all! She fell down for a moment and the rest of the duel, she just stands there and watches. And *I* am supposed to feel sad or emotional about her going "Yuhi, Yuhi" at the end while shedding tears for her brother? In general, it took her the arc final to realize what she's putting Yuhi through and openly admitting to be sorry for that? What about the rest of Mutsuba Town, Yuamu? Damamu deserves an extra sorry from you.

The Darkmen? With the exception of Fukamura, they kept on being stupid and cheering at every shit Yuamu did despite they are said to have "gained wisdom". Zeyet and Sabyuas questioned Yuamu for like 5 minutes until they went back to "Dark Meister is best, you're just a hater" at Fukamura. Also Bruyea is so irrelevant, he didn't even get a single duel in this arc unlike his fellow Darkmen.

Yuna and Asaka? They get to duel each other which should've been a great duel considering Goha vs Mutsuba but was just bleh in the end. Obviously, Yuna had to win (as if they would let Asaka beat her) but the worst part was really Asaka being exposed as some hypocrite by having always planned to become Otes herself and on top of that, was jealous of Yuamu going with that plan instead?? Sure, maybe Yuna exaggerated a bit but Asaka having had becoming Otes in her mind as if it wasn't enough that first Yuga and then Yuamu wanted to do this. Also zero foreshadowing for Asaka's plan? The writers really just pulled that twist out of their butts.

Manabu and Epoch? Manabu got to duel Phaser which is cool but ofc, he had to lose. Epoch didn't even get a duel (surprisingly) but could magically break out of the dark matter + Luge's ice power mix.

The side characters are barely worth mentioning since besides the arc final, they were also not doing much. Chupataro's back just for being used for "comedy" by being creepy at Yudias in the Meeeg-chan cosplay. Ranran is back to play vessal for Damamu who had MR just to becoming sick eventually. Mitsuko and Tamako are now part of Rovian's curry squad and Mitsuko got ignored by Zwijo again. So funny, that never has happened before. /s

As you see, I really have not many positive feelings about this arc. If others enjoyed it, I really wonder what exactly? Yudias did barely shit, Zwijo did barely shit, same goes to the Ohdo twins.

Next arc we have to deal with Yuhi as Otes (another "Ohdo wants to be Otes" arc but this time, one actually became him - Velgearians who?) and Yudias will have to stop him and undo the Otes bs. As mentioned before, this might be also the arc for Yuamu's "redemption" since she was all sad about Yuhi losing his memories. Idk if Zwijo will continue following Yuamu, following Yuhi instead or actually leave to support Yudias.

Btw, would absolutely not be surprised if arc 11 is when Yuga returns. I mean now with Yuhi having his Otes phase and Yuamu and Yudias having both failed to become him, maybe Yuga will show up to take over the Otes role. Well that or he simply helps Yudias and co. to redo the whole Otes bs so Yuhi can be back to normal.
