Do you have any favorite pictures of Rommel?

I do! Actually too many to decide which ones I like best, I think😅 But these are some of my favourites, I tried to kind of sort them into different categories (beware this is gonna be a long post):

Please note that the positive descriptions or "gushing" that may occur in this post refer strictly to his appearance, not his views or actions! I guess that makes sense since we're talking about pictures here, but just wanted to clarify it.

These are some of my favourite portraits of him, especially the first two are some I really like. This is probably just me talking in my own biased opinion, but I genuinely do think that he had a very beautiful face. Like, he looks so soft but still masculine at the same time? And his facial features just compliment each other very well. Somehow I also really like looking at his eyes (which is funny because I'm horrendously bad at that in real life😂), especially the first 3 pictures just have something very tender about them.

Next up, fully body photos! The second one is probably one of my favourite pictures of him ever, I don't know exactly what he's doing but he looks very funny xD But also these pictures always make me think that I can't help myself but find his body shape genuinely aesthetically appealing, and I've been trying to identify why that is. I think I just really like that he doesn't look like the "ideal" of a stereotypically masculine man, while appearing in no way less masculine because of that. Like, he wasn't built very tall or broad (I've read that he was about 1,68m, of course people were just shorter on average back then, but on photos together with others he often still looks rather small), he had a small torso and more slanted shoulders, overall just a more soft and (in my opinion) almost dainty body shape. I feel like the uniforms he typically wore just added to that, for example in the way they accented his hips quite a bit in some photos. Personally, I find this type of man with softer features like him just much more aesthetically attractive than a stereotypical dudebro/"alpha male" (I hate that word so much bruh💀) kind of guy. Plus, it also gives me an odd kind of reassurance in regard to my own gender expression. I could go on about this but I think I'll rather save that for a later post because this already got quite long.

Next a category that is very special to me🫶 Photos together with his chief of staff and best friend Fritz Bayerlein! I'd honestly love to add more of these, but they are sometimes a bit harder to find online. There are quite a few photos of them together in Bayerlein's biography, but I haven't scanned or taken pictures of most of them yet. I hope to post some of them in the future though, maybe also with some background information. I love all of these, but I especially adore how genuine and effortless Erwin's smile look in the second one. From all the things I've read about them, I like to think that he and Fritz really had a deep and trustful bond and cared a lot about each other.

I don't know how many pictures I can still fit into this post, so I'll finish it off with a few more that don't belong to a specific category:

Proud dad Rommel with little Manfred🥺 I feel like this is also a more uncommon photo where he's not wearing his usual uniform.

Young Rommel! I got to be honest, I enjoy pictures of him as a young man and I don't think he looked bad in the slightest, but I still think he's the type of person who gradually just started looking better and better as he got older. I wonder how he'd have turned out though if he got to live longer.

I just think he looks a bit funny with a Stahlhelm on😂 Not quite the way how you're used to seeing him.

I first came across this photo when I was maybe 13 or 14, and ever since I've wondered if it just had to do with the image quality and age, or if Rommel actually shaved his legs😂 Like, they look so smooth. I don't know about you, but if I was leading an army then shaving a legs would pretty much be the last thing I'd think of doing. Maybe he also simply had just very little or very light body hair though, I think it would fit in with the rest of his appearance.

I could go on for longer but I think this post is already long enough so I'll stop for now. At first I thought about making an extra category for family photos as well as for WW1 pictures of him, however I don't have a lot of them saved and was mostly using pictures here that I already had and didn't have to look up first. This was very fun though, I just love looking at all kinds of photos of him. Thanks for the ask <3

Adam is actually adjusting rather well in Hell which, honestly, baffled Charlie and the others. Lucifer not so much because he's pretty sure Adam was not meant for Heaven but they didn't wanna embarrass themselves by having the first human soul fall in Hell.

And they say Lucifer's the prideful one.

Sure, the dickhead bitches and complains but he deduced the guy would do it regardless of where he was. He always thought that Adam was a lazy ass son of a bitch who's all dick and no brains; like one of those jock characters from Charlie's DVD collection.

Maybe that's why he's adjusting so well. His attitude is very on brand for Hell.

Still doesn't explain this, though.

Lucifer: How are you so good at this? I thought you said you hated it.

Adam: I said I hated it not that I'm shit at it. Besides, who the fuck loves doing paperwork?

Today, Lucifer is at the palace catching up on centuries worth of documents that he missed during this 'me-time'. The Sins initially offered to take over so that he could rest but he insists on doing it himself. He feels bad about relying on the Sins too much every time there's a problem. He's supposed to the older brother! The-uh- King of Hell! And what King can't even do simple paperwork?

Apparently he is, because he and Adam have been at this for days now and the pile just never seem to lessen. He's beginning to think someone has cursed him to be stuck here forever.

Speaking of Adam, Lucifer won't admit it to his face but the other has been a very big help; like they're actually making progress and none of the work is half-assed too.

He can't help but look on in wonder at how the first man is just zooming through the endless papers.

Adam: Oi. I know I'm a fine piece of art but can you stop lookin' at me like that? Take a picture, it'll last longer.

Lucifer: I just can't get my head around all this.

Adam: What's not to get, bruh? You know I'm good at everything; even the boring shit. I handle Sera's when she's too busy doing fuck knows too, you know!

Lucifer: Excuse- what?! You handled Sera's documents?? And she didn't stop you the first time???

Adam: Okay- why the fuck are you acting like that's such a shock?

It was nice, in a weird way, how they're bantering. It almost reminds Lucifer of the first days he came to Eden; how Lilith and Adam pretended for a bit to get along for him.

As an angel, he was taught to see the good in everything. After all, everything was made by Father's hand so why would they be anything less than good and perfect?

They say that God is omnipotent and all-knowing, so he often wonders if his Father intentionally made the humans that way. Still does not explain why he would cast him out when the mistake was in his Father's hands.

Because.

Adam was fun until he said something about Lilith. Adam was fine until he acts like a 'man'. Adam was a friend until he wasn't.

Eden was one hell of a reality check. Pun intended.

Sensing what Lucifer is doing, Adam scrambles up and charges at him. Lucifer dodged him with ease and flies high above the room away from prying hands.

Lucifer: Niftyyyyy~

Adam: Lucifer, stop that shit!

The scream the two let out at the sudden voice were embarrassingly high enough to be mistaken for a teenage girl's.

Despite the panic in front of her, the little cyclops just smiled on.

Lucifer: Nifty, what in the world are you doing here?

Adam: Get that thing away from me!

He gave Adam a wave to say 'whatever' and turns back to Nifty who has her eyes locked on the panicking demon behind him.

Opinions of KH2 novels that happen that are funny/interesting

I saw a lot of sections recently

Riku Axel & Namine are a trio

Their interactions are nice

It's something I didn't know I needed

I love seeing them do stuff in the background while Sora does basic (game moments), instead of focusing what happens in the games during Disney worlds, it shows them

Axel being a grey character

He doesn't know himself if he's bad or good

But some of the others noticed it and gladly call him their friend.

Also when Goofy "dies" he helps him to see if he's alright and even gives him a potion

Instead of initially kidnapping Kairi, he does so with good interest in mind, thinking she's in danger because the organization is after her— Riku and Naminé were going to her but got caught up in a battle with Saïx.

Then Saïx fought Axel and won, obtaining Kairi.

Also Naminé helps heal Axel after he lost to Saïx.

I love his banner with Riku

At one point Mickey is like, I'm glad you're not alone Riku, Riku responds, He's my friend, but then Axel says, Nobodies don't have friends, it's not exactly word for word, but similar.

Axel comments to Riku

Riku eating ice cream and Axel is like is it good, You're like a little kid even though you look like a mean old man. Then Axel steals his ice cream and Riku like bruh really dude there is plenty of ice cream in there.

After Land of Dragons, Axel tells Riku, Seeing Sora made you that happy, and Riku is like I don't feel like telling you. Then afterwards he's like it's creepy how you smile with Ansem's face.

Mickey and Goofy can smell

So Pluto is in the novel sometimes around Axel and of course Kairi. When Mickey first sees Axel after Riku leaves, he sniffs him and is like oh it's you I thought it was Riku but you smell like Pluto.

Then later when Axel helps Goofy after his "death" he is like you smell like Pluto and at this point Axel is like AGAIN!?!?

Maleficent and Riku

Honestly I find this kinda charming and kinda nice.

At one point she calls Pete useless and how Riku was so much helpful and even got him what he was trying to do and gave him Kairi. She then admits that she was using him, but it made her kinda sad or a "thorn in her heart" that he left her without hesitation.

Then at one point Riku goes to see Maleficent and Maleficent is like oh you're alive and he says I see you came back from the dead. And it's great exchange.

He wanted to see if she'd fight the nobodies/ organization 13. But when he goes to her he wonders if he is betraying Mickey by doing that and he thinks it's all for Sora.

Riku opinion of DiZ request

So DiZ got Riku to do some things... that isn't great and afterwards he wonders if that was right.

After seeing how DiZ treated Naminé and views nobodies he is like Should I have fought Roxas? He was thinking Should I have destroyed him for him to go back to Sora? What if there was another way so he could still be here?

And I wanted to point it out that he obviously questions whether it was right and he was just following DiZ because he wanted Sora back and thought it was the ONLY way and much would have rather Roxas to stay as a person too.

DiZ offers Naminé ice cream

At one point Naminé goes back to the mansion in the middle of KH2 and she finds DiZ which she is surprised by. DiZ was harsh and mean to her at the beginning of the game and is weary of him,

But this dude straight up offers her sea salt ice cream like he didn't want her destroyed or want Riku to get rid of her (which Riku was like NAHHH I won't because he saw them as people and Sora was waking up). And then he says there are plenty more, you can share with friends 😀😁 LIKE COMPLETE SWAP

Saïx fight Riku and Naminé

First when Riku and Naminé is fighting Saïx while Axel gets Kairi, Saïx slaps Naminé and causes her to fly back.

Then he is like oh you're trying to protect your home from darkness (assuming he might corrupt it or by getting Kairi) and then he's like but you did that once before. LIKE 😭😭😭 THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR

And then he tells Riku he sold his Soul for Power. JUST wow, great character but man is he cold sometimes.

I never want Saïx to touch Naminé again though... Saïx over here hurting Axel and Naminé.

Donald and Goofy no longer tease about Kairi

So... In KH2 there are moments where Donald and Goofy tease Sora about Kairi with possible romantic implications

(though I'm not exactly sure since that is the English version which could have some transaction errors and there's a lot of added romantic moments because of English version)

In Halloween town, Sora also imagines himself dancing with Kairi when Jack and Sally dance, but in the novels none of these things happen. Donald and Goofy don't tease him about Kairi.

Shang and Mulan = Sora and Riku

So in land of the dragons when Sora sees Mulan and Shang he tears up and thinks of himself and Riku cause he missed him.

This does happen in the game, but it's more explicit here that he missed him and thinks of Riku and himself when he sees Shang and Mulan.

Sora always wanted to fight by Riku's side

In the novels throughout the ending battle Sora is so excited and is just glad to fight by Riku's side and he had always wanted to have him as an ally.

He states how he always hoped and dreamed he'd be able to.

He feels so excited and just glad to be able to do so.

Also want to point out that they feel better together and they're okay in the dark realm because they have the other

Sora doesn't care as long as Riku is okay

At one point Sora says, so what if he's in organization 13, it's fine.

Donald is like it's not they're a bad group of people.

This just shows how much he cares about him.

Axel pretends to betray Riku and Naminé to help Kairi

He told them he was going to and would give them their location and reassures them that he doubt Xemnas would come over.

And Xemnas ends up being the one going over....

I've seen you in other posts i think lol. But in all seriousness, I'm conflicted.

I sorta can see the 2 of them being 'a couple' for many reasons

1. Dating as kids being a bunch of of people are dating and they wanna see what they hype is imagine like a tiny Sid and Stu (go the kid route of 8 or middle school of 13) dating and just giving each

other candy because that's what couple does.

2. Lavender dating

Sid (I low key see her as bi) and Stu (gay or bi again) just dating while dating someone of the 1996 version of MySpace/ chat rooms/ AOL/ Etc or even a pen pal. I think they could delvolp feeling if Stu wasn't... you know a murderer, but let say it never happened, i can see them being poly, PR, or just friend who make romantic jokes

3. Dating for convince like their family nagging them to date and finally being like "fuck it fine, Stu/Sid date me!"

Over all I can see them dating, but in a chill way. I might project here, but i can see it sort of being like when dated my ex. Dating a childhood friend being you liked each other, but after a bit of dating it become more awkward. I think they can get though it if they wanted to, but it'll be weird for them.

However, i can see it working if it was a poly relationship for someone to help balance it out, like Billy or Tatum, even both. They both vote with Sid and Stu very well, so a poly relationship can work well

Billy

- he vibes with both Stu and Sid

- the can be sympathetic easily. We've seen him be patient with serious stuff in the movies, so if Stu did something Stupid he old knock some sense into Stu. Vise versus, but i think Sid had a handle of it more

- He (both Stu and Billy) can also let Sid open up more without being worried.

- Again he knows both character very well so being in poly can be good for either character

Tatum

- Bruh Tatum and Sid would be me and my Bestie before i came out if they were modern day

- people ask if they were dating even though they are friends

- so a poly relationship may came easier to the 3 of them with how well they vibe together

- Tatum would be 1 hell of a mediator able to wrangle both of them when one is too serious or too lax

- Tatum would be about to meth the group together well

If it was both you can combine these together since I'm worried about this getting a little long. But yeah over all 5/10, might read fanfic of this later to get a better idea of the ship. So far i like Sid/Stu as a poly couple rather than just the 2 of them

Story 2:

Why did Tails need a submarine?

Sonic limited series #1? Good God, that's a deep call-back.

I wanna talk about this for a moment, because I love it. Now, I like Sally. Easily my favorite western Sonic character, and I even like her a fair amount more than a decent amount of the game characters. But this was the wrong move, on her part. She should not have let Rotor get so far as finishing the submarine, but still not letting Tails have it. That hurts worse than just being told you can't have it. Admittedly, this depends on when Sally found out about the submarine. But I'm very taken with characters being allowed to make decisions that aren't always the best. Sally should be allowed to make the wrong choice sometimes, and to grow from learning when she messed up. I like when characters have to learn from their mistakes. But, there's a second aspect to that concept, and it's one that actually got done perfectly: This choice is still entirely in-character for Sally. Very often, you'll find people who are willing to let a character mess up, but it's in a way that is completely at odds with how they've been acting up to that point. Now, obviously, this is not a Sally story, and this is not an apocalyptic mistake, so this will not be a story about Sally learning that she has to exercise better judgement, but it's still nice. It's actually why I was kinda disappointed that what seemed like Sally mistakenly trusting someone she shouldn't in the Princess Sally miniseries turned out to be a well-executed plan on her part. Sure, the reveal that she played Robotnik was pretty cool, but I'm not going to pretend I wouldn't have been more invested in the other idea. Of course, no piece of media is made specifically for me, so hey, sometimes I'm just not gonna be into how stuff plays out. i haven’t updated since december… oops! so many things have happened since then. this is so weiiird!

“Oh ya I saw her looking really confused and asked her if she was ok, isn’t that right tiny?” You poked her side a little and she giggled

“Your inasa right? Im Y/n from UA,” you introduced yourself

You could feel a blush on your cheeks

You tried bringing up her parents again but she just shot you down with the same answer

You kept thinking about it the entire time you were with her

After a good hour you went to take her to the bathroom and she started going back

She thought it was the coolest thing ever

He wasn’t much better than her and thought it was cool

Ya at the end of all that he walked you to your car and bowed to you in a way that looked like it hurt

“I am sorry for making you uncomfortable in any way!” He yelled

You waved him off and told him it was fine really

“In that case my I have your number!?”

I just really love the “returning back in time after death” types of stories and I saw in a comment somewhere that in this one the dad actually loves her and isn’t trash. The art is AMAZING and I really love the balance of “bruh I’m crying this is hilarious” comedy and “unalive me right now” ANGST. Currently probably my favourite ongoing manhwa.

Summary

Sweet summer child, who has done no wrong but is very awkward, *Juvellian* is the *villainess* because she poisoned the princess. (no she didn’t). Rating:  Loved this so much I spent real life money by which I mean I’ve bought the limited edition versions of the physical copies ;w; Status (as of 3 Nov 2023) Still ongoing, and I’m pretty sure there’s quite a bit more to go til the end. Not sure if it’ll hit 100 chapters though, I’ve never read the novel It’s over ;A; Some spicy side stories. Sometimes it weirds me out when the whole series is PG-13 and the side stories suddenly become R21.
