Do you have any favorite pictures of Rommel?

I do! Actually too many to decide which ones I like best, I think😅 But these are some of my favourites, I tried to kind of sort them into different categories (beware this is gonna be a long post):

Please note that the positive descriptions or "gushing" that may occur in this post refer strictly to his appearance, not his views or actions! I guess that makes sense since we're talking about pictures here, but just wanted to clarify it.

These are some of my favourite portraits of him, especially the first two are some I really like. This is probably just me talking in my own biased opinion, but I genuinely do think that he had a very beautiful face. Like, he looks so soft but still masculine at the same time? And his facial features just compliment each other very well. Somehow I also really like looking at his eyes (which is funny because I'm horrendously bad at that in real life😂), especially the first 3 pictures just have something very tender about them.

Next up, fully body photos! The second one is probably one of my favourite pictures of him ever, I don't know exactly what he's doing but he looks very funny xD But also these pictures always make me think that I can't help myself but find his body shape genuinely aesthetically appealing, and I've been trying to identify why that is. I think I just really like that he doesn't look like the "ideal" of a stereotypically masculine man, while appearing in no way less masculine because of that. Like, he wasn't built very tall or broad (I've read that he was about 1,68m, of course people were just shorter on average back then, but on photos together with others he often still looks rather small), he had a small torso and more slanted shoulders, overall just a more soft and (in my opinion) almost dainty body shape. I feel like the uniforms he typically wore just added to that, for example in the way they accented his hips quite a bit in some photos. Personally, I find this type of man with softer features like him just much more aesthetically attractive than a stereotypical dudebro/"alpha male" (I hate that word so much bruh💀) kind of guy. Plus, it also gives me an odd kind of reassurance in regard to my own gender expression. I could go on about this but I think I'll rather save that for a later post because this already got quite long.

Next a category that is very special to me🫶 Photos together with his chief of staff and best friend Fritz Bayerlein! I'd honestly love to add more of these, but they are sometimes a bit harder to find online. There are quite a few photos of them together in Bayerlein's biography, but I haven't scanned or taken pictures of most of them yet. I hope to post some of them in the future though, maybe also with some background information. I love all of these, but I especially adore how genuine and effortless Erwin's smile look in the second one. From all the things I've read about them, I like to think that he and Fritz really had a deep and trustful bond and cared a lot about each other.

I don't know how many pictures I can still fit into this post, so I'll finish it off with a few more that don't belong to a specific category:

Proud dad Rommel with little Manfred🥺 I feel like this is also a more uncommon photo where he's not wearing his usual uniform.

Young Rommel! I got to be honest, I enjoy pictures of him as a young man and I don't think he looked bad in the slightest, but I still think he's the type of person who gradually just started looking better and better as he got older. I wonder how he'd have turned out though if he got to live longer.

I just think he looks a bit funny with a Stahlhelm on😂 Not quite the way how you're used to seeing him.

I first came across this photo when I was maybe 13 or 14, and ever since I've wondered if it just had to do with the image quality and age, or if Rommel actually shaved his legs😂 Like, they look so smooth. I don't know about you, but if I was leading an army then shaving a legs would pretty much be the last thing I'd think of doing. Maybe he also simply had just very little or very light body hair though, I think it would fit in with the rest of his appearance.

I could go on for longer but I think this post is already long enough so I'll stop for now. At first I thought about making an extra category for family photos as well as for WW1 pictures of him, however I don't have a lot of them saved and was mostly using pictures here that I already had and didn't have to look up first. This was very fun though, I just love looking at all kinds of photos of him. Thanks for the ask <3

Remembering Alice, running to check on her… until a certain someone snapped him back into his automatic response and the thought he had….makes me feel sick. But I know he wouldn’t do that to Alice, and you mentioned something in your tags about infidelity not being a tag..

(I also hope Alice didn’t see that particular vision with her fragile state right now, would not be helpful for her)

I’m really hoping you let him come back to himself soon and see Alice even though it’ll rip our poor troubled Jasper’s heart out at seeing her like that/knowing what was done to her 💔

My heart is breaking for Rosalie!

And being the Peter/(Charlotte RIP) stan I am, I kind of lowkey love the fact he was stinking of venom and rot because that screams to me that he carried and held Alice all the way back home and we love that for his character 🖤

don't worry, if jasper's disorientation/current mental state is making you feel sick or nervous or anxious then that means my job here is done 💀 this poor man is still trying to mesh the good (his current life) with the bad (his past life) in his brain and it's causing a full fracture to happen. we (jalice stans) often talk a lot about jasper's trauma because it's a really interesting subject to dive into, but being able to write and explore a traumatized character going through psychosis has always been something I like to explore in fanfic and with characters I like (who are all very traumatized individuals. hm. wonder what that says about me 💀)

anyways you'll have a better idea of what alice is and isn't seeing two chapters from now! but don't worry, I will give you one assurance and say that this past chapter (48) is as disoriented as jasper gets in the fic. he starts clearing up more little by little as the story progresses. unfortunately, I can't say the same about alice

and poor rosalie oh my godddd :( I think that whumping emmett (or renesmee, if we're being real here) is probably the best way to get rosalie to break down. and rosalie is interesting because she's so quick to anger. but when there's no immediate target for that anger, and when the person she loves more than anything is in such a state, you can only imagine what she's going through right now. (which is why edward's current job is keeping rosalie from trying to fight maria because she badly needs something to tear into) you definitely get a little more peter & alice content in the next alice chapter, but not a wild amount. peter's main job right now is 'keep alice alive' and if that means having to begrudgingly follow maria's orders...well, he'll do it, but he won't like it...

A subordinate who likes the boss type of drama 💀

I think we should all agree that we seen this trope a lot on K-drama or maybe in webtoon comics

Okay, here's what i have in mind (it's gonna be cliche, please hold on till the end)

Lots of female employees have a crush or impressed on their boss, which is Obito. Well, in this point i think we should agree, that Obito is charismatic, firm and serious as a leader. And for a plus point, he's rich, handsome and of course has a daddy vibes 💀

It's not surprising that many want to be his sugar baby

But one thing they didn't knew, is that their boss is not single anymore LOL. So they would always try to impress him and even flirt. But unfortunately he wasn't affected by it. I'm pretty sure if he wasn't so tired after work he would ask Rin out on a date.

But lets talk about, if there is one employee who dare to make a bold move. Lol i'm sure she would always make an excuse so she can see Obito (like stalker, i know it).

So she would try to took the files to his office, then asked if he needed anything. And when he gave her a smile to appreciate her, it felt like it was a green flag for her, even though he was just trying to be nice to his subordinates.

So on one day, Obito working as usual, doing meetings, presentation, etc. And during the lunch break, his girlfriend, Rin, decided to surprise him, which he didn't mind at all. Lots of the employees were confused seeing her, thingking that maybe she's a client or what. But then they were even more confused when Obito's secretary allowed her into his office. Because his secretary seems to know her (which is yes, Obito admitted to him)

For a few hours the employees were left confused with a young woman entering their boss office, and of course we all know both of them will flirted with each other on the inside LOL.

So this is where the drama happen, the girl that i mention before, came to his office to hand over the files, she didn't know whether Rin still inside or not. She knocked it a few times, but didn't hear any answer, instead she heard two people's laugh from the inside and decided to open the door and..

There's where she saw Rin sat on Obito's lap, with his hands on her waist and she saw a faint lipstick marks on her boss's cheeks. Both Obito and Rin caught off guard and she immidiately stand up. The girl didn't expect the view and immediately apologized to both of them.

Obito replied it was okay awkwardly, feeling embarassed himself. The girl then give him the the files and immidiately leave the room. And that's when all of the employees know that their boss is already taken with a doctor.

Yah.. that's it..

I know it's pretty cliche, but i think this is really happening in real life lol 💀

If you want more drama, maybe it won't be that girl who will be the third person in Obirin's relationship, but Konan, a famous model who is interested in the CEO of the Uchiha company. LOL.

First of all, anon, Let's leave Konan out of this, LOL - I swear I'm so protective over her character; she's a whole divine thing on her own. We can leave it as some other chick who is bold enough to try something.

Now then, here's my feedback:

It literally felt like I was watching a scenario from a K-drama, but I like the aspect that Obito is pretty oblivious to all the attention he's getting because he's already into Rin. xD I'd say he'd be pretty professional and ignore any of their attempts, such as them inviting him to have breakfast or coffee, and Obito would just be like, "I'm busy." or "I have plans, maybe next time."

I want to add that I don't think Obito would even feel embarrassed, I think he'd just raise a brow and say, "Can't you see that I'm busy?" while keeping Rin on his lap, and Rin is the one that would be embarrassed, but Obito would brush it off. Remember, he's this firm, charismatic leader. He could do whatever he wants in his office. xD

Nah because like. Yes this proved to the Trojans how resilient the Foxes were, but it was also a message to the audience, yk? Like we know the Foxes were getting shit for their quick rise to the top after they pulled their shit together, but I personally think that the Trojans did this both for their improvement & for Foxes’ publicity. This game proved to the public at large how devastatingly *good* the Foxes were, because of their small size. The second best team in the league crumbled playing the same conditions the Foxes did *every game* and got to championships with. They proved that Foxes were, in fact, a D1 team who earned their keep.

my beloved rio... i'd rerolled for hours trying to get a good starter account with him. this rio was THE card for me for the first half year; he was my unchanging oshi card that i always got to stare at while grinding anticlockwise <3 i didn't get to train him until the first 4 star select tickets were distributed, but even then i stuck to the untrained art because i was so in love with it 🥺

there's so much happening!! the perspective, the pose, the expression, the lights, the stage, the scope and distance of the far background... it's a very ambitious and very successful piece of art and remains to be my favorite shu card =w=

What's your favorite AAside event story?

yume no ato, without question. not just because of the reiji (yes ok it was the reiji) but the story was so substantial for an event story to the point that my friend and i suspect it was originally intended to be a song story. i'd always wanted tadaomi to do something hurtful to reiji as a plot vehicle for us to learn more about reiji's past, and then that's exactly what happened!!! AND we got an adorable baby reiji art out of it!!! i could ask for nothing better (except to maybe make the event happen any later because tiering two events in a row was hell 👍)

these've been my main dudes for most of the game's lifespan-- save for tadaomi, who used to be haruka until i splurged my savings after eos announcement and got a tada that was more powerful. it felt kind of fitting that i'd swapped out haruka around the time we learned he goes abroad... ^^'

yuto isn't anywhere near my top5, but i'd gotten his initial 4 star on my day one rerolls so he was a staple on my early-game team until promised diamond event, in which i got 3 copies of yuto while pulling for rio... the two of them have been invariably on my main team since then 😊

Do you have a favorite area convo?

gotta be ryo-reiji at the station. it's so fucking sad!!!!!! for no reason!!!!!!! and if you read kohei-reiji at the station first, it makes it seem like reiji's been waiting there for shu for hours... 😭 i'd once joked in poor taste to my friend that shu would finally arrive when eos is announced and That Sure Did Happen so congratulations on getting out of the rain, reiji

hands down reiji cs5. still working on the translation with my dear vroom but i need you to know it's everything to me. tl;dr it's about mochi and shu puts a piece of mochi directly into reiji's mouth #Real #NotAHoax and i still haven't recovered

prooobably gotta go with janus reiji; it just checks so many things on my list: the ruffled reiji, the mask theme, the shurei, the kanata pointing out the shurei, the comparisons between shurei and kanaharu, the tadaomi just bein' there, it's everything. it's also the first card story i ever tried translating by myself! thank u vroomie for helping me clean it up for public posting~

honorable mention to tadaomi's in the rain 3 star for having an absolutely adorable moment of peace between tada and reiji... can't understate how rare and fleeting it feels with the gentle music (which i could swear isn't used in any other epsi appearance in the entire game) and each of the boy's smiles... it's just lovely :)

immediately. not sure what the "how" means here but i will share that due to us not knowing the exact hour that aaside's servers would open, i had a hell of a day in terms of sleep since i'd gotten up at some ridiculous hour like 5am for the starting live and then took naps on and off throughout the day to power through to the following 1am when the servers finally let us in
