favorite thing about them

Where do I even begin with this bird? He is our voice of reason amidst the chaos and horror, our right-hand man in all the trials and tribulations, our conscience in all the decisions. Our loyal best friend who is there with us since the beginning-

There is something very beautiful about how encouraging, enthusiastic, and generally lovely Hero is, how he wants to do "the right thing", whatever "the right thing" is… but he doesn’t know what or how he should do it. He voices his opinion throughout the game, often disagrees with you and other voices, but he never insists on it, and in so many instances (like the Nightmare route, when he asks Paranoid to tell them who to trust), he reads to me as self-doubting, as someone who doesn't believe in himself and his own decisions and instead chooses to put his trust into the Long Quiet, into you. It feels very human… Though perhaps I'm projecting because I'm a very self-doubting, indecisive person myself.

…which makes it all the more triumphant and sweeter when in the final fight with the Shifting Mound, if you insist on trying to fight her on your own, Hero, for the first and only time in the game, defies you:

''I can do this out here on my own.'' "You can't, and lucky for you, I'm not going to let you try."

For the first time, Hero knows what the right thing is, he knows what he needs to do to help you against the Shifting Mound. And so even if you as the Long Quiet don't realize it yet… he does.

I love the fact that we actually get to see him grow. He chooses to go directly against your decision... precisely because he is your right-hand man, your best friend, he wants you to succeed, and he wants to help. And for the first time, he confidently goes with his decision because he knows what to do... and even that one decision is made to help you.

Can you tell I'm very normal about Hero? I love Hero. Hero my beloved-

I don't know if I have a specific brOTP for Hero, I kind of think that he generally gets along with (most) other voices. In fact, here's what I wrote on him like two months ago:

"The most normal among the voices, quite literally the voice of reason in all the chaos that the other ten cause. He is fairly respected by all of them, though that does not make him immune from their shenanigans. When he’s not busy getting out of Contrarian’s pranks or trying to break up yet another fight between Stubborn and Cheated, he tries to be helpful around the Construct and often offers support to the other voices. Generally, Hero is kind to and understanding of the other voices (even the more annoying ones), though he can also be snarky and rough if other voices really get on his nerves."

…so I guess the answer is all of them?

Serious answer: I've loved their dynamic from the very beginning - one of my first ever fanart pieces was a storyboard where Paranoid teaches the survival mantra to Hero. It was, and still is, one of my favorite moments in the entire game... I just never realized that people shipped voices together and that it was allowed. Well, thanks to @/neverpathia and his random fic from like 3 months ago, I realized that their dynamic works very well as a platonic-romantic relationship... and so here I am, a QPR-ParaHero shipper after all of that-

To not drag this point for too long, I just really like how the relationship between Hero and Paranoid plays out whenever these two are together. There's a certain degree of... comfort, I suppose, between them, like they've known each other for years and years before. It's weird to put it like that since they're all disembodied voices that are part of the same God, but the way their interactions are written just feels personal. Oh, I wish I had words to actually describe my thought process, but I don't 😭

...Though their lighthearted banter and bickering throughout multiple routes definitely help me like the ship even more. I'm a big sicker for friendly banter.

I'll leave this answer with the dialogue between them that I rotate in my brain too much:

"Oh, you snake. There wasn't even a door when we first got here. The door was from last time! I told you we shouldn't trust him!" "I know he's messing with us, but you can't lose your cool. Despite my love for ParaHero, I'm very open to other Hero ships too, so I don't think I really have a nOTP! The closest would probably ContraHero… but that's entirely Contrarian's fault, my guy just refuses to be in a relationship (the closest he's got is ContraStranger, but even that's less of a committed relationship and more reconciliation). I really like how other people write and draw ContraHero!! It's just that, once again, my interpretations make the ship impossible with my lads 😔

random headcanon

This is entirely 100% unrooted in anything canon... but I like the idea of writer Hero. I don't know where I first got that idea, but I really like it, almost as a weird parallel to the Narrator. Again though, completely not rooted in anything from the actual game, pure ✨vibes ✨, and vibes alone.

unpopular opinion

I honestly struggled to even really think of an unpopular opinion about Hero, beyond "he's the most boring one" (which, as you can tell by how much I wrote about him, is not an opinion I hold). Sooooo, yeah, no unpopular opinions on him lol

Favorite thing about him I think the best thing about him is also the worst thing about him. He's the embodiment of that toxic bisexual rep people keep ranting about, and he's designed to attract our kind.

He has:

Oh, and he also knows how to stab people? And has a good sense of boundaries? Yeah, okay, Bioware, pack me two of those, please.

Least favorite thing about him He's that toxic bisexual rep people keep ranting about. XD

He lies and flirts like he breathes, he sleeps with everyone because it's fun and it helps pass the time, and yeah! Okay! I know people like that! Myself included. So it's a pretty realistic portrayal of a person who went through such a massive trauma as a child and was severely abused for most of his life. But his story lacks depth in some ways.

Yes, he confronts the Crows. Yes, he kills his former lover/friend to tie up loose ends, and that's it. I wish there were more moments that showed his vulnerability. His obvious flaws.

But I think that's what all the Origins characters suffer from. They fall pretty flat once you're done with their personal missions, and their romances lack that tasty substance for me as well.

Favorite line His stupid sex poem and how Warden asks, "You killed the person who wrote it for you anyway?" And he's like, "Well, of course! But only after we slept together. What do you think, I'm some kind of monster? I fucked her for a few hours, btw." And Warden goes, "Well, if it was hours…"

brOTP Him and Wynne. I think she can be a perfect match for his energy and just be a sarcastic ass around him for sports, which I am sure he loves. They can make fun of Oghren together. Also, he can fingerbang her into next Tuesday if necessary, and it wouldn't ruin their dynamic.

Also him and Leliana.

OTP Zevran/Alistair sounds like so much fun to me.

One is a labrador retriever, another is a sly fox. One is a virgin, another has fucked his way across the continent. One is a homophobic church boy, another is everything the church warns good people against. One is horrified by the fact that this man, dude, guy with a penis, oh my god he has an actual dick between his legs, is actually attractive, another finds the bi panic men expirience around him endearing. Alistair Theirin gets fucked into the mattress watch in HD 1080p.

Also, Zevran/Morrigan. They are a definition of bi4bi power couple.

But the best OTP is Zevran/freedom to do whatever the fuck he wants to.

nOTP Don't have one. I truly believe he can weasel his way into any pants.

Random headcanon He's such a slut for luxury lifestyle. He's pretty down to earth most of the time, but lay him down on some silk sheets after a good meal and he'll be yours.

Unpopular opinion He and Warden are not a good match for a variety of reasons, and I'm not that surprised that he's out of the picture by the time Awakening begins.

More thoughts I gotta write down beneath the cut for those who are interested.

Vijay knows no boundaries and just jumps onto Ryder from behind and someone took a pic in the right moment (I did). Ry is comfortable with V still close to him, but he's trying not to lose his smile here entirely because he concentrates on the sudden 6'4'' tall weight on him. x)

I think you get why I call this brotp 'Stuck on you' — Vijay basically declared it this way. V is like the angel on your shoulder, he watches over Ry.* He was there for Ryder right from the start, listened and supported him, got him out of he darkness besides giving him a new identity before they even got to be friends. Yes, there was a long pause — both needed — but after that you're not able to separate them ever again, not as lovers but as best friends and both are happy with it because a real good friendship can be so much better than a relationship. <3

It's a bit funny to me you know? And I'm laughing at this very moment about it as well.

Because here was I believing Vijay to be my main oc before I created Ryder — with the intention to give V a boyfriend and a support character for team Jackie and V. But it all came differently bc I stumbled over pretty Arki along the way (and I love to what it turned out by now).

And where am I now? I realized half a year ago, that Ryder is my main guy and Vijay his support. Without him there literally would be no Ryder. I mean it! Seriously. If they hadn't met, Ryder would be gone given his low self-esteem and depression when I reflect my written back story about him. Let that sink in.

*Sidenote: the moment I wrote this I scrolled up, looked at the pic for another moment and noticed that with a bit imagination the holo cherry blossom tree behind them could be a form of wings. <- me again, doing pics with no idea finding/seeing things only later.

1. What sort of content do you create, and what is the thing you’ve made that you’re most proud of?

I started with art, then began writing, then started animating, and recently uploaded a fanvid 😅

I'm proud of them all because they are all part of the progress 😌

2. What fandom(s) do you create for?

Supergirl. I'm counting my Sadie/Saskia vid as supercorp.

3. What is your current favourite ship (or brotp if you prefer), and how controversial is it?

Supercorp. And apparently a lot of people don't like them because they hated supergirl? (At least according to tumblr tags in polls. But those people also accuse them of being too straight...)

4. For your answer to question 3, are they canon?

They are in my heart. Also, I feel that their last conversation was as close to canon as they could get.

5. What was your first fandom, and how old were you?

I was deep into Harry Potter for a long while in my life. That's what got me into fanfiction and tumblr. I still have a sweet spot for what it represented to me in my childhood and the stuff I took away from it despite the actions of some extreme lady.

6. What is your most unhinged fandom creation to date?

My Twilight Au fic 🤣

Was written as a parody, but somehow ended up being way too wholesome.

The power of pasta is my one crack fic, so there's also that.

7. Do you remember what started you off creating fandom content, and if so, what was it?

I was an avid consumer for years, but it was all thanks to the Supergirl fandom that I dared to try and create something. I was in the process of coming out and accepting myself for who I am, which, despite being in a very open and accepting environment and family, was really hard on me. Both the show, and especially the fandom, were what helped me not only to come out but also to see it in a positive light. It made me understand the meaning of pride, and I am forever grateful for that. That's why I decided to dedicate my time to creating stuff myself as thanks to this amazing community and to do my best to keep it active.♥️

8. Do you let people you know in real life see your fandom creations?

Some, yes. I have a few friends who know I write, but had not read any of my stuff. I have a few I share my art with, though.

9. How do you feel about fanworks of fanworks? Has anyone ever made something based on a thing you made?

Someone wrote a fic based on my art a while ago, and I'm still excited about it!

10. What feeling do you most often try to evoke with your creations?

Depends on the content. Each piece has its own purpose. I try to aim for fluff, but I've been told I accidentally write a lot of angst... oops?

I'm always excited when fandom friends tell me they like my stuff. Or just anyone in general. It just warms my heart.

Lena was the one to drag Andea to sneak out of school for a change. Only unlike her best friend, Lena didn't drag her out to a party or to drink alcohol, but instead to the local game shop where she could learn more about that mysterious game. Andrea wasn't as excited as her, but reluctantly agreed (if only to get out of trigonometry class). Fight for Justice, while being a bit too cheesy, Lena couldn't deny the strange allure of the name. She was fascinated to learn the different ways the game could change from moment to moment, the various objectives one can approach to win the game, and she couldn't help but absolutely adore the art on each and every card.

I have about 12 that I actively started, but more that are in the concept phase. Ideally, I'll finish them all eventually.

It's been almost 2 years since I started The Art Of The Game. I'm close to the end, but it's been a while...

1: sexuality headcanon

Spock is an asexual gay man. He's too gay with Kirk to be anything but, and I say he's ace because I'm ace and I like Spock

I'd say Iris is like... heteroflexible? Like she's pretty much straight, but she's played around with girls before.

Spirk is definitely one of my OTPs of all time, not just for Star Trek.

Ultimis, easily. I joined the fandom very late after the Aether story concluded. Despite being late to the party, I love the gritty atmosphere of their maps, the lore was to me the most engaging to understand, and I replay their stuff most of the time. I know people tend to say they can be somewhat one-dimensional due to their cliche traits, but I think Ultimis is both charismatically funny and have their own layers of depth if you look a little more.

I am still pissed off that we will never get to see them again. The Christmas album isn't enough. I will pay either Treyarch or your best set of VAs to record a zombies audio story right now

7) Least favorite CODZ quartet/squad in general, and why

Chaos. I feel bad, they were given a lot of love from Treyarch by Black Ops 4 and they are being referenced again in importance for the new story line. I just can't seem to click with their maps.

As a side note, I'm not liking how the Dark Aether story is so far with "operators" and I do hope they'll bring back crews by the next game. But I also would prefer they switch up from the dry, seriousness of Cold War. However! I think the slowness was to help build up the story for whatever's next to come. I still think Klaus is funny and there are hints of the humor in there somewhere, and Forsaken map was where I finally got more actively interested in what's next.

8) Favorite individual CODZ character(s), and why?

I think we both know the answer to this question.

And you're so real for your pfp by the way! I look up to him and his fighting spirit, just being able to take action with no hesitation. And yes, he's still got my heart. I love him too much. IronPetals forever

I'm also finally warming up to his Primis self. He's still very charismatic and him being more likely to show his soft spot than Ultimis Tank made me too flustered. If any character inspires me to keep fighting the good fight, it will always be him. OORAH!

13) Favorite friendships/BroTPs?

I have several, believe it or not!

One goes to Dempsey and Takeo, especially with how in depth it gets in the Primis timeline. Even with whatever Richtofen was trying to put them through and all the toiling about through war, they could at least confide in each other the most. I also love how Takeo's basically got an American cheerleader on his side!

Russman and Stuhlinger! I see a lot of bickering about between the Victis crew, but the quotes that show their allyship do warm my heart. I'd also argue Russman and Misty for the comics because he acts like a father figure! Why can't we get more of that in the maps?! Especially since i hold on the hope we'll see Victis leave the Dark Aether soon

Last one goes to Dempsey and Peter. He really cared about his best friend, even with Peter forgiving him for "Phoebe". I almost wonder what those two have been through together. I headcanon they were friends since childhood and decided to enlist together.

If you're still doing it - how about Celebrimbor? If he's competing with Celebrian for your Elrond OTP he's gotta have some interesting headcanons to go with.

This has been sitting for ever sorry!! I've been meaning to get around to it because Celebrimbor is Best Boy.

1: sexuality headcanon

IDK I view him as being very open and not really caring so much about who he's attracted to. If the vibes click then the vibes click and he definitely enjoys sex, but he also isn't one of those people who has a preference in partners, nor does he really go out of his way to seek them. He's a very affectionate and attentive person in general, though, both with friends and with partners.

2: otp

Brimbrond. I literally can't say enough about Brimbrond. I just love the idea of them being very close in the Second Age, (with a bit of hero worship on Elrond's part that Celebrimbor finds very cute). I love the idea of Elrond being enamored with Celebrimbor, and Celebrimbor being enamored with this gorgeous ainur-like creature (funnier when you add Silvergifting into the mix...because I guess that Celebrimbor is just a maia-fucker). Love the idea of Gil being the one to introduce them and give them a little nudge. There's a bit of camraderie that comes from being able to speak Quenya with each other, and with my headcannon that Elrond picked up a Feanorian accent from M&M... that makes it even better. And Elrond being able to fill Celebrimbor in on late M&M, and Celebrimbor being able to tell Elrond stories about what they were like in Valinor...stuff like that. And Elrond loves nothing more than encouraging and supporting people and so I think he'd do really well with such a highly gifted and creative partner. And I like to think that Celebrimbor maybe saw things in Elrond that others didn't -- like his gift for medicine, and nudged him toward it. Sure, Elrond is a REALLY good politician, but he's a peerless master of lore and master healer, and I like to think that Celebrimbor spotted that in him and gave him space to explore those things. They're both SO people and friendship oriented, too, so they'd do a really good job of balancing each other out and making sure that they're getting their needs met in the midst of focusing on everyone else. And idk, I headcannon them being very soft for each other, and it also is just very juicy for how things Ended. Because Elrond is the one that Gil-Galad entrusted with his host to go and liberate Eregion. And Elrond was too late to save Celebrimbor. And with all of that history...I just Think It's Neat.

3: brotp

Tie between Galadriel & Celebrimbor and Erestor & Celebrimbor! I absolutely adore thinking about how close Galadriel and Celebrimbor must be as two of the last surviving direct descendants of Finwe. How they both remember the Treelight, and How Things Were Before, how much pure time they have spent with each other. How Celebrimbor crafts the Elessar and Nenya for her, both works intended to preserve and protect her and her lands from evil. Incredible. And it's my headcannon that Erestor is the son of Caranthir, which would make him and Celebrimbor first cousins. I like the idea of Celebrimbor sort of taking his baby cousin under his wing & the two of them surviving together as the last descendents of Feanor (even though it IS incredibly sexy to have Feanor's entire line end with Celebrimbor. I'm very fond of Erestor Morofinwion).

4: notp

I don't really have one, to be honest, though sometimes I get a bit irritated with Silvergifting being so ubiquitous -- purely because I get tired of seeing it. I've never been a huge Silvergifting fan. But I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a notp. I ship it in the right context with the right characterization!

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

My boy has the world's WORST time blindness. Just...he gets going on a project and nothing else exists.

We don't have a lot of direct dialogue from him, but I am especially fond of "In the working of this he became a rival of the Dwarves, or rather an equal, for there was great friendship between the Dwarves of Moria and Celebrimbor, and they shared their skills and craft-secrets.", and of course "Speak friend, and enter." Celebrimbor's hubris (which Sauron definitely used against him) is forever fascinating to me, but I think his defining trait is his openness to those around him, to how he forges friendships and alliances just as he forges his masterworks. How incredible it is that he walks in the footsteps of his grandfather, who created three Objects of Power and zealously guarded them as his masterworks -- where Celebrimbor creates three Objects of Power and keeps not one for himself, instead giving them away to his friends. How he goes to his grave in defense of his friends under immense pain and torture. Something something that post which said how this all began with "get thee gone from my gate" and ended with Celebrimbor and "speak friend and enter". I'm feral, okay? He's just so good. He's so good. I am clenching him in both fists.

That hubristic desire to create a masterwork is something that resonates very deeply with me. I get way too wrapped up in trying to create something "perfect" and it gets lost in the sauce sometimes.

The insistence that Silvergifting is canon. No matter how much we would like it to be, it's not. It IS very ubiquitous and it IS a fun ship, but it's not canon and I get very tired of the repeated insistence that it is (which I see a weird amount of going around). But in terms of the character himself, his wee baby crush on Galadriel is so embarassing for him. I can't take them seriously as a ship, because age-difference-wise it's about the equivalent of that time I met my baby cousin Beau for the first time. Beau is about seven years old and he imprinted on me like a baby duckling and got a wee crush. And I just feel like that's how Galadriel feels about Celebrimbor. Like 'aw, that's adorable and kind of weird. Love my baby cousin though'.

Natsu (Fairy Tail)

Sexuality headcanon

Natsu is bi/pansexual. To me he is the kind of person to not really notice gender, but rather someone's fighting ability/kindness. He has shades of himbo, which probably adds to me thinking he thinks all genders are cool and interesting.

2. OTP

I really like NaLu (Natsu/Lucy). I think the big reason why I like it is because they are friends first and foremost. They bicker, care, and support one another as friends. So, even if I didn't ship them, I would be on board with them as friendship duo. However, since I ship them I think their friendship is an excellent springboard for romance. Many straight ships in media just bank on the characters being together because "they're a man and a woman", but have no chemistry. I think Natsu and Lucy have a ton of chemistry and thus they're my OTP.

3. BROTP

Natsu and Sting both have dumbass energy that when combined create an even stronger dumbass. I really love their interactions during the tournament arc and I like how they're sort of foils of one another, with Sting also being a bit of a hot-head.

4. NOTP

Natsu/Erza. To me they have sibling energy with Erza as the older sister and Natsu her little brother. They both care for one another and are there to hold one up, but both have some dumbass energy that's just enough for them to both get into stupid situations of their own doing.

5. First headcanon that pops into my head

It's been a long while since I watched Fairy Tail so I cannot remember if this is canon, but I think Natsu loves spicy food. Not only does he like spicy food, but it doesn't affect him. He can eat some of the hottest peppers in the world and barely flinch while others are Dying.

6. Favourite line from this character

Oh boy... there are simply too many episodes and lines for me to remember. So, I think I'll go with a scene, because that's easier. I have two scenes in mind.

The first scene is during the tournament arc when Natsu says something along the lines of "one point matters in the end" as he's competing in his first "battle". What I like about this line is how Natsu believes in always giving things your all, even if you think you're going to "lose". I think that mindset is very important for people to have, especially young kids, who don't know how to deal with loss and try to give up.

The next scene is a softer one: it's when Natsu first sees Zeref during the S-Wizard rank arc. I like this scene because upon first watch, everyone is as confused as Natsu. However, if you re-watch the scene, the tragedy, joy, heartbreak, and sorrow are so plain to see in Zeref's face that for a moment he forgets everything except Natsu.

7. One way in which I relate to this character

I think I relate the most to Natsu's unwavering kindness. He sees the best in people and that's how Lucy entered the guild: he simply believed she's a good person and gave her a chance. And that's what Natsu represents to me: chances. He never believes people cannot have another chance at redemption and that's a quality I think is very admirable.

8. Thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

Look, if I named everything Natsu does that gives me second hand embarrassment, we'd be here all day. He's just a goofy character and unapologetically living his best life. I suppose if I had to pick one thing it would be the motion sickness? But that's a shared trait all dragon slayers possess, so it's not just Natsu who embarrasses me.

Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa)

I'm forewarning everyone: Junko is the character in Danganronpa I am the most "head empty" about. This doesn't mean I don't like her, it's just I'm pretty neutral.

I don't really have a sexuality headcanon for Junko. I just don't think Junko has ever thought about her sexuality and wouldn't care about gender. If she is looking for someone to date then she'd want someone who is interesting and not boring, which whittles the cast down to like two people? I think?

I don't really have a ship for Junko. I know in the light novel, DR0, she has an interesting relationship with Matsuda, but since I haven't really read the light novel (just a summary) I don't have an opinion.

Again, I don't really have a clue. I guess if we went with a "non despair AU" then I think Junko and Naegi being a BROTP would be hilarious. Mostly because I think it would consist of a Very Confused, but Polite Naegi and a Junko who goes around calling Naegi her "bestie".

I don't ship Junko with anyone so therefore I don't have a NOTP with her too.

5. First headcanon that pops into my head

Junko spent WEEKS deciding what Monokuma looks like and what kind of voice and personality she wanted to give Monokuma. Like, she literally did not sleep for almost an entire week planning what she wanted for Monokuma. All the Monokumas we see in Towa City are either beta concepts she scrapped or ideas she wanted to implement but didn't fit the "school" vibe she wanted. Also in this process I think she sewed a lot of stuffies and thus her (and Mukuro's) room were covered in bear plushies.

6. Favourite line from this character

I think my favourite line from her is from Danganronpa: Another Episode (Ultra Despair Girls), "Oh well. I suppose I'll leave the rest to you. Though, the next time I see you you'll be someone else entirely. I hope the future is one you cannot predict."

I think I like this line because it's directed to Kamukura and the call back to SDR2 (since you play SDR2 before AE, even if in the timeline SDR2 is after) makes me so happy.

7. One way in which I relate to this character

Junko is a twin and so am I. The thought of what she did to Mukuro, while utterly horrific and tragic, is strangely something I can understand as an act to "create despair." Not just for Mukuro who was betrayed but for Junko who did the betraying.

8. Thing that give me second hand embarrassment about this character

In the final trial for DR1 when she's flipping through personas and lands on the really crass one with her tongue sticking out... yeah... I know that her personalities are reflecting the final members of the trial (so this one is for Touko), but yeah... never liked that.

I really don't get why people only see him as an idiot.

He has his moments, sure, but in multiple instances, he's shown an incredible aptitude for reading certain situations and managing to solve the problem as well as gain the respect of others.

There's also the horniness and while I am the last person to bash people for anything of the sort, that seems to be the majority of the content for him.

I like digging deep into characters and really forming attachments to them based on the attributes I see and on occasion, I'm disheartened by the fact that I seem to be the only one who does.

But hey, who else is going to do the work if not me?
