Every time I watch G Revolution, I understand Brooklyn a little more. This time, I specifically watched the Japanese version and skipped to scenes with Brooklyn. This way, I have a higher concentration of Brooklyn and less stuff in between to distract me and make me forget what the focus of Brooklyn’s story is. It’s very simple to me now. Especially in terms of his battle with Kai, it’s about innate talent versus hard work. Brooklyn was always naturally good at beyblading and never had to try. This infuriated Kai, who had to work harder than anyone to get as good as he is. Brooklyn’s talent caused him to become cocky. He saw himself as superior. As a small child, the other kids ostracized him because they didn’t want to play with someone who always won without even trying. This led to Brooklyn feeling like he didn’t need anyone. No friends and no need to put effort into anything, Brooklyn lived in his own little world, creating an unhealthy separation from the world around him.

02. My everlasting quest for Mako to look like the most stereotypical manhwa character continues. I have made *slight* progress. TS3's inability to create long, slanted eyes keep fucking me up. 03. A sweet illustration I found that inspired the rain scene. There's literally no other reason for the rain, I just wanted to recreate this one visual with Evako. 04. Bow Bridge in Central Park is a famous spot for lovers, often glimpsed in romantic movies. The 1862 cast iron bridge resembles the bow of an archer, or violinist. 05. Kogarashi is a poetic Japanese word: the first cold wind that signals the coming of winter. It is the name of the Hayashi's luxury hotel empire, which is inspired by Aman Resorts. 06. Zachari Rousseau is a 27 year old principal dancer at Brooklyn Heights Ballet. Trained at the Paris Opéra Ballet School, he is a winning alumnus of the Grand Prix, and quickly ascended the ranks of Brooklyn Heights. Once coveted for his ethereal youth, Rousseau remains popular amongst the ballet's wealthy donors, despite his slowly fading beauty.

boygenius rolled into London with just their guitars and played two sets at Kingston's PRYZM on Thursday night. Playing an entirely acoustic set, the boys show felt like a hangout session (with a confetti cannon).

Julien Baker's crescendo on "Anti-Curse" was astounding. Hearing Julien's voice unleashed in a quiet room was ceiling splitting. The interpolation of "Me & My Dog" and "Letter To An Old Poet" sent a wave of joy through the room. Lucy's voice on "True Blue" felt like a warm blanket.

The boys continue their European tour in Paris today before heading to Edinburgh this weekend.
