I drove today! I went to 7-11 and got a little treat. Itâs only as uncomfortable as being a passenger, and the mental load isnât too much. Still not my favorite thing to do though.
Soba jumpscared me! Heâd been taking it easy on me, but today, he came flying out of nowhere! Mighty hunter! Good kitty!
The Broncos lost and absolutely tanked their playoff chances. They have to beat the Chiefs next week to get in. lol
I keep falling asleep and itâs getting on my nerves. I wish I wouldnât, but my body needs the sleep, so I just go with it (grudgingly). This better stop by the time I have to go back to work.

Woody taking his frustration out on you when he was scratched during playoffs but gives you the best aftercare
All I'm Seeing is Red- Miles Wood
A/N: Dang, I remember that game he played against the Rangers that got him sat. He played awful⌠just terrible. And then he got to sit and think about it for a long time đ Thank you for your patience as I worked on getting this done. I acknowledge this took soooooo long! Wow! But itâs here now and I hope you love it!
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: This is a lil rougher than I usually do. If thatâs not your taste, skip this one đÂ
âFuck me!â Miles screams from the doorway.
âYes, please?â You joke, leaning your head around the corner to where he is coming into the apartment. You were finishing up lunch for the two of you when you heard his heavy footsteps coming down the hall.
He looks up at you, cheek bones cutting the air with his angry scowl. His blue eyes are a raging sea.Â
âOh no.â You sigh, setting the plates down. âWhatâs up?â You walk right to him, wrapping your arms around his waist and waiting for him to speak.
âIâm scratched again. Fuck! I know I played like shit. Why canât I have another chance?â You figured this was the problem. You run your hands along the deep groves of his back, attempting to soothe. He hates the comfort and pushes you away. You try not to take it personally. âIâm sick of being fucking bag skated. Goddamn quads are on fire every fucking day.âÂ
âOh noâŚ.â You trail off, following him and running your hands up his solid back muscles again. âI want your quads on fire because youâre fucking me.â Miles softens beneath your touch this time. Then he gradually turns. The desire in his eyes has you laughing, eyes closing when you realize you have awakened the beast.
âYouâre gonna play again babe.â You encourage him before this takes a final turn. âI know itâs hard right now. But weâll get through this.âÂ
âI donât wanna talk about that now.â His eyes are darkening, jaw tightening. Your lips part in desire as his fingers force your head back. His thumb plunges, without much warning, between those parted lips. You suck his appendage as he pushes down on your tongue. You collapse your cheeks around him and he groans, stepping closer again, tightening you to him. âHow rough can I fuck you?â He asks as he pulls his shirt over his head
âAs hard as you can. I trust you.â You say as you shed yours too.Â
âYouâll tell me if itâs too much?â
âI know what to say.â
âScream it. I might not hear it. All Iâm seeing is redâŚâ He trails off as he grips your sweatpants, shoving them down your legs. âBend over.â He encourages you backwards.Â
âWhere?â
âHere.â He says as your butt gets to the back of the couch. You turn. His big hands grip your hips. You can hear him undoing his pants. Pleasure rolls in waves down your skin. You moan at the sound of his bottom clothes hitting the floor. A heavy breath drops your shoulders as he presses his palm down for you to go lower against the leather. You look back, barely able to see anything but his strong arm as he guides himself into your heat.Â
âShit.â You moan as he rips himself into you. The fullness steals the breath from your lungs. It arches your back and dances your hair down your spine for him to grip. He wraps your strands around his fist then bucks deeper into you like heâs a bronco.Â
âTalk to me.â He snaps. âTell me how good this is.â
âYou fuck me so good.â You sprint out of the gate just like him. âI love your cock, baby.â You close your eyes, biting your lip at the sound of his moan behind you. The tension he walked in with is evaporating into pleasure with each pump into your tight heat. He releases a hip, slapping your ass hard, causing you to jolt. Greedy desire shoots out from the red mark he left, clutching your throat as your folds slicked more.
âDo you like when I fuck you rough?â He asks. "Like when I handle you like a doll?"
âYes, baby.â
âSay my name.â
âYes, Miles.â You moan loudly.
âThatâs it. Let the world hear who make you feel this good.â He pulls your hair righter, wrapping his other arm around your waist to keep you crudely arched.Â
âOh my god.â You choke as his pounding increases. He presses a hand into your stomach until your knees buckle from the intensity. He holds you up, using his powerful thighs to take you to heaven. âHoly fuck!â You wail, head crashing back into his beefy shoulder. âYesâŚâ You trail off, panting heavily as your core contracts around his cock. He moans, then pulls from you abruptly. You whimper, wildly reaching for him as you convulse around nothing.
âGonna cum if I feel any more of that.â He says, stuffing two fingers in for you to grip instead. It helps bring you down to a better place. He pumps in and out, gathering your wetness and using it to rub your clit to prepare for the next round. âAnd I need at least three more from you before that happens.â
âThree?â You groan. Youâre already feeling spent from how fast this one came on. But gone is his disappointment and failure from earlier. Youâll gladly keep playing your part to make him feel better.
You stand to your full heigh, allowing Miles to guide you around to the front of the couch. He pushes you down. He climbs between your spread legs, guiding his still wet fingers to your clit and rubbing in rushed circles. You whimper and he moans into your mouth. His lips suck your tongue into his. The rest of your noises are left there as he slips two fingers inside your entrance. Youâre so wet; he canât wait anymore. He roughly pulls back to bury himself to the hilt again. Your body quivers at his sudden entrance this time. Fuck, you think. Maybe you shouldnât like how rough heâs being, but you do. And youâre already calculating how to get it again.
He begins to move and you find yourself breathless for the second time at how good he feels inside of you. Your body stretches to accommodate him, turning your slight stitch into swells of pleasure. Heâs so deep and hard, you feel him in your chest, squeezing the breath from your lungs in desperate moans.
âWanna see you riding me to the next one.â He mumbles, tapping your ass.
Heâs so chaotic, you can barely keep up with what youâre doing. Not that it matters. Itâs clear he is using you for his own pleasure and distraction, but youâre benefiting more. He flips you both effortlessly, watching as you get situated over him, then drop down, stuffing his entire length into you in one swoop.
âJesus.â He groans, running a hand over his face as the other guides your hip. You buck back on him in grinding motions, feeling each change in the angle of him into your stomach. Miles brings both hands to your hips, increasing the rhythm until heâs got you doing what he wants. Your breathing shorts out and a groan announces your next orgasm. Miles doesnât let up. He keeps working you hard into him until you collapse down from your high.Â
âYouâre so pretty when you cum for me.â He praises while sitting up, leaning forward to kiss your throat. His large hand gathers the tendrils of your hair, gripping them to tilt your head back towards the ceiling. You begin to bounce on him. His tongue falls out of his mouth, stroking your nipple with each up and down movement of your body. You grip the back of his neck, denting crescent moons into his skin. He reaches up for your throat, putting a bit of pressure there. âIs this okay?â
âYes.â You moan out in pleasure. âNo more though.â
âJust this.â He confirms, beginning to thrust up to meet your bounces. You can feel your third orgasm rushing towards you. Itâs more intense than the others and you start shivering above him. Miles bites his lips together, watching your face for the sign of full release. You crash into harsh, hot waves of ecstasy that shudder your entire body from head to toe. You grit your teeth at the intensity, then release to moan loudly when Miles slaps your ass hard.Â
âMiles!â Youâre screaming now. Your body is utterly used and you whimper as he slows the tempo, knowing you need a small break. He hugs you to his chest, kissing along your cheek. His tongue licks at your jaw before he pulls away.
âYouâre such a good girl for me today.â He stands up, moving you both from the couch and walking down the hall to the bedroom. âNeed more space for what is next.â He says as he lays you on the comforter. He grips your hip, rolling you to your stomach and encouraging your hips up into the air. He presses down on your upper back, shoving your cheek into the soft fabric.
He knows this is your favorite.
âYour reward.â He murmurs, thrusting slowly into you. Itâs tantalizingly slow, torturous, and at any moment, heâll increase the tempo to a blinding speed that will have you trembling long after you both cum. But not yet. Right now, itâs gentle. The disgusting sound of your wetness fills the bedroom. âYou hear how wet you are for me, beautiful girl? How soaked youâve gotten from cumming so much.â
âYeah.â You whine, eyebrows knitted together. You reach back, stretching your cheeks apart to help his thrusts.
âNo.â He says, grabbing your hand and forcing it back to the bed. âIâll take you how I want and no other way.â His words tickle your ear as he picks a faster tempo. His strength makes you submit. You can feel him pulse and thicken in you. You know heâs close. He loves to dominate you, taking you the way he wants, the way no one else gets you. He'll use his body to enclose you into him while he takes you as deep as you can handle.
His hand comes to the back of your neck, shoving you deeper into the mattress with his strong fingers.
âOh god, right there.â You beg, focusing in on his staccato thrusts pushing you further up the bed. He stays consistent with that, moaning back to you at the way your inner walls hold his cock. âYeahâŚâ You whisper, then begin to pant heavy, practically wheezing as you turn your face into the mattress
âHoly fuck.â Miles yowls when your inner walls clench in preparation for your next orgasm. He doubles down hard, practically punching through your body with how hard heâs railing into you
Your hands wildly grip the comforter into your tight fists as you shutter stiffly, orgasming so hard you think youâre blacking out. Miles shouts as he fills you, jerky thrusts accompany his sexy groans as he finishes his own high.
One by one, Miles releases his fingers from the back of your neck. You lay motionless on the bed besides heavy breathing making your back rise and fall quickly. His fingers follow the knots of your spine, painstakingly slow. He pulls out of you then leans forward to press kisses along the long valley of your vertebrae.
âYou okay, baby?â He asks when you continue not moving or speaking. He gives your pussy a gently stroke with his weeping tip, causing you to jolt. You still donât answer. He rotates to see your face catching the soft grin stretching your lips apart. Your eyes open, locking with his as he leans down to kiss you.Â
âWhat does it say about me that I want to call the Devs and thank them for that?â He laughs, shaking his head.
âThat my baby is a freak.â He brushes your hair off your cheek. âWanna shower?â All you can do is nod.
Miles helps you off the bed. Your knees wobble, so you clutch his bicep for support. He canât help but grin, wrapping his arm around your waist to guide you into the bathroom. You lean against the wall as he turns the water on. He waits, letting the glass enclosure fill with steam before he leads you in with laced fingers.
He puts you in the warm water, then cups your cheeks in his big palms. His kisses are soft. They muse your lips with each press, trying to suck the puffiness from them that he made. You sigh into his mouth, letting your fingers trail up his abdomen to his big shoulders. You step backwards, letting him into the spray with you. He assaults your lips again, both of you tasting each other and water as the beads break between your mouthes.
âWhat shampoo are we using today?â He murmurs, gesturing to the three options you have. You grab the daily shampoo off the shelf and hand it to him. âTell me when?â He squeezes the bottle. You let him get a half dollar size onto his palm then stop him.
He lathers it up in his large hands, then reaches for your scalp. Your eyes close at his gentleness. You love the way he takes care of you after playing rough. The way he turns a simple act into an intimate, one of a kind moment. Itâs just shampoo. Itâs just a shower. And yet with Miles, itâs always so much more than that.
âStep back and keep those beautiful eyes closed.â He insists. You do as youâre told. Miles helps the water rinse the suds from your hair, smoothing down the strands and fluffing them along your scalp to get everything out. âNow open your eyes and watch me kiss you.â He whispers against your lips. You obliged again, lips stretching into a grin. This is what he wanted. His tongue comes into your mouth, swirling against yours until you giggle. âDid I tell you I love you when I got home?â
âNo, you just demanded I bend over.â
âIâm sorry. Iâll do better about telling you I love you before I split you open.â
You snicker then tell him you love him too.
âI know how you could make it up to meâŚâ
âHmm?â He asks, grabbing the conditioner. You take it from his hands knowing he has no idea how to do this part. He uses 2 in 1 Head and Shoulders. The concept of conditioner is foreign to this manly man.
âBe nice to yourself. This is hard enough without the negative self-talk.â He wasnât expecting that and his eyebrows knit together in denial. He reaches for the conditioner bottle from you and puts it back on the shelf. âPromise me.â His blue eyes return to yours. âOtherwise I have to beat you up.â He snorts in shock, then giggles.
âBaby.â
âIâll do it, Woody. Iâll punch you in the face if youâre mean to yourself.â You hold a fist up, jokingly pressing your knuckles to his jaw. âTake out the rest of your teeth too.â He turns his face, forcing your fingers open so he can kiss your palm. Then he guides your hand down to hold his thick ass cheek, bringing you into his wet body.Â
âNoted, boss.â You shake your head no.
âMiles, thatâs not a promise.â
âI promise, baby.â He says, looking into your eyes. The sincerity you want is there now. You nod, then settle your cheek against his chest.Â
Two games later, Miles plays and scores a goal. The Devils decidedly beat the Hurricanes 8-3.Â
Youâre not saying itâs because of you. But youâre also not saying it isnât.Â
Some things are too perfect to only be a coincidence.

In the penultimate week of the main season, the Bengals take on the Denver Broncos. The Bengals' last home game is vital for any chance to reach the playoffs. If the Bengals lose or tie to the Broncos, they will be out of playoff contention.
Hopefully, the Bengals' recent winning streak will bring enough momentum to keep playoff hopes alive. đ§Ąđ¤

imma be honest it was fun being like yeah bengals wooo but they are not making the playoffs this year on top of beating the steelers tomorrow the dolphins would have to lose to the jets (unlikely) and the broncos would have to lose to the chiefs (also unlikely, the chiefs have nothing to play for and the broncos' playoff chances hinge on winning if either the bengals or dolphins win so like........................ like it's not gonna happen dog

The Denver Broncos picked up a huge win for their playoff chances, taking down the Cleveland Browns, 41-32, in a back-and-forth thriller on "Monday Night Football."This game was a shootout much like Jameis Winstonâs previous nationally televised bout, which ended in victory for the Browns this past Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But Bo Nix, not Russell Wilson, was Winstonâs opposing quarterback this time, and he continued to show why heâs an Offensive Rookie of the Year frontrunner as he picked apart the Brownsâ defense. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Denver Broncos fullback Michael Burton (20) celebrates his touchdown with tight end Nate Adkins (45) in the second quarter against the Cleveland Browns at Empower Field at Mile High. (Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images)On the teamâs second drive, Nix was methodical as he dissected the defense, finding fellow rookie DeVaughn Vele for a 16-yard gain that landed the Broncos at the one-yard line. A few plays later, running back Javonte Williams scored the gameâs first touchdown to get the home team on the board first. But leave it to Winston to immediately respond, launching one to Elijah Moore for a 44-yard gain four plays into the next drive to get into the red zone. Then, David Njoku went upstairs to haul in his first of two touchdowns on the night for Cleveland to tie things up 7-7. The Brownsâ offense, though, definitely ran through Jerry Jeudy, who went into this contest against his former team saying he wanted to "whip their a--."2024 NFL PLAYOFF PICTURE: CHIEFS, BILLS CLINCH BERTHS; WILD RACE IN NFC WESTHe lived up to those words with 235 yards on nine catches, including a 70-yard touchdown that came immediately after Nix had thrown a dot to Marvin Mims Jr. on third-and-11 for a 93-yard touchdown in the third quarter. After the Broncos kicked a field goal to make it a 31-26 game, Winston was back under center again, this time looking to take the lead for the first time in this game with a touchdown. Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (3) reacts following his touchdown reception in the third quarter against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. (Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images)Thatâs exactly what happened, as Nick Chubb was uncovered on his route for a five-yard score. However, Nix, who has been calm under pressure throughout this season, continued his good performance by getting his team into the red zone once more and Wil Lutz buried a short field goal to retake the lead, 34-32. Winston had a chance to respond once more, but he threw his second pick-six of the game, as JaâQuan McMillan stepped into the out route and wasnât touched after falling to the turf. He walked right into the end zone to pull away late in the fourth quarter. That was the victory seal for Denver, as Winston and the Browns didnât have any magic in them to pull spoiler yet again. Looking at the stat sheet, Nix was 18-for-35 for 294 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, with Mims (3 catches, 105 yards) and Courtland Sutton (6 catches, 102 yards) leading the team. Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (10) passes the ball in the first quarter against the Cleveland Browns at Empower Field at Mile High. (Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images)CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPOn the ground, Jaleel McLaughlin had 84 yards on 14 carries for the Broncos. For the Browns, Winston had a whopping 497 yards passing on 34-of-58 with Moore also tallying 11 yards on eight catches. Broncos lament missed opportunities in 41-10 loss to Ravens
BALTIMORE â In the days ahead of their Week 9 meeting with the Ravens, the Broncos spoke about the opportunity that lay ahead. In a matchup of two 5-3 teams, the Broncos had a chance to earn a win against one of the top teams in the AFC and bolster their playoff resume. Following Sundayâs loss at M&T Bank Stadium, though, the Broncos lamented a series of missed chances that ultimately led to aâŚ

A Closer look, Colts bench Anthony Richardson.
By: BenJarmin Munguia
Date: October 30th, 2024
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been struggling all season; perhaps heâs been too tired.Â
On Monday, Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen made the call to benched former No. 4 pick overall in favor of Super Bowl 47 MVP Joe Flacco,Â
Richardson, a first-round pick, fourth overall, in the 2023 NFL draft, has been a disappointment this season. He has only completed 44% of his passes and thrown for 958 yards. He has also thrown seven interceptions.Â
The former University of Florida standout had a different season last year, completing 59% of his passes with only one interception; Richardson only started four games and then was put on injury reserve due to a season-ending injury in 2023.
Backup quarterback Joe Flacco has appeared in four games, starting two due to Richardson being hurt. Flacco has played flawlessly, throwing for seven touchdowns, one interception, and 716 yards while completing 65.7% of his passes. That's a big difference compared to the âfranchise quarterback,â who again only has a 44% completion percentage.
What didn't help Anthonyâs case for being on the bench was what transpired on Sundayâs loss to the Houston Texans. Richardson was on the sidelines when the offense was on the field. When questioned by reporters, Richardson stated, âI was tired. I can't going to lie. I needed a break.â
Right now, the Colts are 4-4 and in second place in the AFC South. Indianapolis can still secure a playoff spot, and since Flacco is playing at a level Richardson canât be in, it makes sense to put Flacco in.Â
"I'm just looking where we're at as a football team, sitting at .500 with a lot of football left," Steichen told JJ Stankevitz on Colts.com Joe gives us the best chance going forward."
The Colts will have a tough test for Flacco this month as they head to Minnesota to play the Vikings on Sunday Night Football, host the Buffalo Bills on November 10, fly out East to play the New York Jets on the 17th, and then play the Detroit Lions on the 24th.Â
It doesnât seem the 2023 NFL Draft class will have much success. With the first pick overall in the 2023 NFL draft, quarterback Bruce Young was also benched in favor of another veteran quarterback, Andy Dalton. However, Young got to start last week during the 14-28 defeat to the Denver Broncos.Â
Perhaps Richardson won't be too tired during his time on the bench.Â
Itâs unclear when Anthony Richardson will start another game this season, perhaps once the Colts are in a position to make the playoffs or if Flacco gets hurt.Â

Revenge of the Jipped:
Five Must Watch Revenge Games in Week 4
Thereâs nothing quite like a revenge narrative to add a little spice to an NFL game. In a league this competitive, thereâs bound to be a lot of shuffling around. With teams at the mercy of ticket sales from impatient and irrational fanbases, they canât always wait for young players to develop or struggling coaches to figure it out.
Sometimes theyâre right to pull the trigger, sometimes theyâre a little too aggressive (cough David Tepper), and sometimes they wait entirely too long to make the most obvious change in the world (looking right at you Jerry Jones). Regardless of whoâs right, revenge games inevitably pop up from time to time much to the delight of the viewers. Today however, we are gifted with not one, not two, but FIVE Revenge Games. So letâs skip the high road and embrace the petty as we look at who gets a crack at the team that did them dirty!
Aaron Jones vs Packers
Aaron Jones never managed to board the Jets, but wound up in the same destination as Packersâ Hall or Famer Brett Favre, opting to give Green Bay the finger by joining their division rivals for a bigger payday. And through two weeks, Jones is a top 10 rusher who looks like he hasnât lost a single step since the Packers nearly upset the reigning NFC Champions last year.
Now he gets his chance to prove that the Packers were fools for letting him walk. And heâs not shying away from the opportunity, openly stating that he is âdefinitely leapingâ if he scores in his first return to Lambeau Field. To the Packersâ credit, the guy they left him for is currently four spots ahead of Jones amongst rushing leaders and has shown an ability to take loads Jones simply couldnâtâŚ.that sounded better in our heads. Jizz jokes aside, we canât wait to see which of these RBs looks like the better signing after tomorrow and if Jones can one-up the guy who replaced him.
Zach Wilson vs Jets
Ok this one is a long shot, but if the Jetsâ front 7 goes on a killing spree through the Broncosâ depth chart, theyâll eventually come across Zach Wilson. Though this revenge narrative may better suit the Jets and their fans at Metlife on Sunday, now that theyâre seeing what their team looks like with competent Quarterback play.
Aaron Rodgers also gets his first chance to avenge his old pal Nathaniel Hackett for the comments Broncosâ Head Coach Sean Payton made about HackettâsâŚ..accomplishments in Denver. With fragile egos on both sidelines, expect this one to be chippy even if itâs not competitive.
Cliff Kingsbury vs Arizona
Look Cliff Kingsbury deserved to be fired in Arizona without question. But that by no means negates what he is doing for Rookie sensation Jayden Daniels through two weeks. No matter how talented a prospect is, 91% completion percentages donât just fall out of the sky and Kingsbury has done plenty to set up his young signal caller with the best options available in the pass game (48 of Danielsâ completions have been less than 9 yards) While itâs still extremely early in Danielsâ career, he just outdueled Joe Burrow on the road in Prime Time and is already looking like a generational prospect.
Kingsbury gets his first chance to burn the team that dumped him, but heâll have to go through his original crush in Kyler Murray to do it. Making matters juicier, is the fact that Kingsbury will be directly competing against the guy who replaced him, matching his Offensive wits with the Defensive prowess of Jonathan Gannon. With a pair of dynamic QBs running all over the field and plenty of pent up frustration, this one is must watch on the Sunday slate.
Eagles vs Bucs
This one is more of a playoff revenge narrative, but the point is one of these teams is super pissed at the other. The Philadelphia Eagles went from NFL Darling to NFL Laughingstock faster than P Diddy launched himself into the Epstein conversation of wildest sex scandal of all time. The Eagles were 10-1 heading into a critical NFC Championship rematch where they got, well the P Diddy treatment, from the 49ers (who themselves came in looking to avenge the 2022 NFC Championship). From that point forward, the book was out on how to beat the Eagles as they only mustered one more win the rest of the year (a one possession win against the lowly Giants).
Everyone saw the Bucs absolutely pantsing them in the Wild Card Round from a mile away, while Sirianni keeping his job in that aftermath was far more surprising. Now, armed with Saquon Barkley (and basically nobody else), Philly gets another chance to line that shit up and prove it again.
Andy Dalton vs Bengals
It all comes down to best narrative of this entire week. An inter-conference battle of the some of the baddest pussies the league has to offer as the Red Rifle leads his suddenly resurgent Panthers into battle against his old team and the guy who replaced him. Andy Dalton went on an absolute tear after replacing Bryce Young last weekend against the Raiders going 26 of 37 for 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions for an offense that had only put up 13 points on the year.
But as hard as it may be for him to accept, the Bengals weâre right to move on from him. At 36 years old, Dalton still has not popped his postseason cherry, holding a record of 0-4 in the playoffs. Joe Burrow, on the other hand, had the Bengals within 3 points of a Lombardi trophy. But that doesnât mean Dalton canât go into Sundayâs matchup with a chip on his shoulder looking to send his former team to 0-4 and essentially doom their 2024 campaign.

Chance at Taking a Chance Taken from Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills exceeded expectations, which is one way of trying to come to terms with falling short of them. Feelings can swing in a moment, which is how believing two things makes sort-of sense. Following sports teaches ambivalence to the point of confusion. Use any positive phrasing youâd like before reality elbows back in to remind fans just how bleak things really are. Perhaps the contrast will encourage tempered fantasies.
Things turned out great compared to how much they sucked earlier. But comparison doesnât provide as much comfort as hoped. This team underachieved significantly during the fall, which feels like another geological era. The ultimate result didnât go as terribly as once expected. Getting disappointed in a slightly different way should totally fix your mood.
An offseason spent wondering if the window would close before the team attempted to jump through it didnât feature high hopes. But every single season should feature reasonable expectations while remembering no games have been played yet. That includes Carolina. On a relative scale, results are simply about feeling less disappointed. More losses arenât so bad if youâre aiming for a lower assessment.
The Bills possessed an uncommon chance both during the year and in what turned out to be their last game to alter destiny. They cashed in on the former only to fritter the latter. Weâre in the midst of plenty of time to think about whether itâs better to never get up hopes. Use the sentence wisely. A long offseason in the hole will be spent thinking about what crimes those you canât control committed to get you banished there.
Fans wouldâve been thrilled in early November if you informed them this club would win a playoff game. That presumes they wouldnât have confused about not only how time travel works but how saying whatâs going to happen fails to affect it.
Affecting the continuum reached peak urgency after losing to Denver, which as a reminder really happened. We can giggle now at the sort of crushingly comical mess that usually defines a season, especially in these parts. Buffalo wasnât doomed by the results. That didnât happen until months later.
A rather remote chance of making the playoffs disappeared. If it were a pie chart, the slice after the aforementioned brutal loss to the Broncos would have been the percentage of people who dislike pie. Defying improbable odds just took winning incessantly. The conclusion of creating their own good fortune was much more abrupt.
The route doesnât matter once theyâve arrived. The ticketâs been scanned even if it feels like they snuck in. Winning that many consecutive games that late in the year assuages concerns about overall performance. Cool professors always note accelerated progress in learning from the midterm to the final with a grade that satisfies your parents.
Circumstances that led to arrival are irrelevant. One person can start an app which translates barks so we can know how much doggies adore us while another wins Powerball, and theyâre both rich. Whether the modern baron invests in promising companies or puts it all on red at a Seneca Niagara roulette wheel, itâs theirs to blow. The best investment would be buying a Buffalo sports team and then a new coach.
Itâs not ingratitude to expect more, especially when weâve gotten so much less through history. Even winning it all just means hoping for consecutive titles next. Fans of every area franchise feel disappointed the Bandits stand at .500 after the four-loss previous season which resulted in a win in the leagueâs final postseason game. By contrast, losing so frequently that fans are conditioned to cherish rare wins is called Sabres Disorder.
shouldnât get to the point where a team places all hope upon a kick. But contending in any game is a feat, particularly an elimination affair against your franchiseâs Moriarty. Making opportunities is the simplest and most difficult solution. Despite all the affairâs shortcomings, one dramatic moment proved to be unscripted with a shortcoming. We conducted this same soul-denting debate about whoâs at fault 33 years ago. The loser was Buffalo. Deciding how to frame a cinematic defeat doesnât reshoot the ending.
Determining whoâs responsible for a loss is as close to catharsis as is available. Reviewing details feels agonizing. But existing on Earth is crammed with opportunities to analyze why everything fell apart at the moment you needed it to come together.
Lifeâs victims are left with nothing but deciding whether it was the fault of special teams who werenât very special or defenders who did little of the sort. You donât have to feel bad for flubbers even though theyâre true representatives of the human condition. Trying to cheer up the employee whose ineptness brought so many down is like hoping your ex-girlfriend is happy with her husband. Nice balances with pathetic.
Lugging around burdens is as human as wondering whatâs next to eat. But dealing with the way itâs been rotten previously constitutes much of what life is. Sports are supposed to serve as a distraction from everything else before they turn out to be the primary example of whatâs challenging about it. Trying to finally ditch depressing tendencies usually goes like squandering the second seed.

Browns place QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson on injured reserve
The Cleveland Browns have had a plethora of injuries throughout 2023. Quarterback Deshaun Watson and running back Nick Chubb suffered season-ending injuries, which has been a devastating blow to the teamâs offense. Now, the Browns have suffered another season-ending injury at quarterback.
The team is placing quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson on injured reserve for the rest of the season due to a hip injury he suffered in Sundayâs game against the Houston Texans. Thompson-Robinson came into the game for Joe Flacco after the team took a massive lead in the second half, but exited the contest after suffering the injury.
This is not the first injury the quarterback has dealt with this season. He suffered a head injury back in week 12 in the loss to the Denver Broncos. P.J. Walker will be signed to the active roster from the practice squad to backup Flacco.
Thompson-Robinson played in eight games for Cleveland this season (three starts) before the team brought in Flacco, who has solidified himself as the starter. Thompson-Robinson has 440 passing yards, a touchdown and four interceptions. He has not put up impressive stats but has won four out of five games he has played in this season.
The Browns are 10-5 and in second place in the highly competitive AFC North. They will host the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football this week, then will finish the regular season off against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cleveland has the top wild-card spot in the AFC and will solidify a playoff birth with a win this Thursday. The team is in good shape to make a good playoff push, but if Flacco were to go down with an injury, their chances of winning in the playoffs would be very slim.

[ad_1] The Broncos lost any realistic shot at making the playoffs by falling to the Patriots on Sunday, giving them a 7-8 record -- and just a 1.4% chance of reaching the postseason -- with 2023 winding down. Now they're benching quarterback Russell Wilson for the final two games. The Broncos insist the decision to turn to backup Jarrett Stidham is meant to provide an offensive "spark" after a 1-3 stretch -- that it has nothing to do with the QB's contract, per CBS Sports HQ Senior NFL insider Josina Anderson. But the writing is on the wall: Wilson had recently sidestepped questions about his future in Denver beyond 2023, while an injury in the final two games would've prevented the Broncos from seamlessly releasing the QB after the season, should the team desire to move on.Why did Sean Payton make the move from Wilson to Stidham? "I can tell you, look, we're desperately trying to win," the head coach said, via 9News Sports in Denver. "The No. 1 push behind this, and it's a decision I'm making, is to provide a spark offensively. Obviously it's difficult, and all of us feel like 'man, we didn't do well enough,' but one of the things we saw when we signed Stidham in the offseason, not only from preseason games but regular-season games, but he's a guy I'm excited to see play. "If I didn't feel like he gave us the chance to win, we wouldn't be making that move." Per The Athletic, Wilson is expecting to be cut in March. He reportedly knew of his fate with the organization for nearly two months. The Broncos reached out to Wilson's representatives in late October if he did not defer the injury guarantee trigger date that he has for 2025 -- which is $37 million guaranteed on the fifth day of the league year. Wilson has certainly improved on his erratic 2022 Broncos debut, leaving Week 16 with 26 touchdowns, eight interceptions and a 98.0 passer rating -- his best in three years. But Denver's offense has struggled overall, ranking No. 16 in scoring and No. 25 in yards per game. And then there's the QB's lucrative contract, a $245 million whopper set to count $35.4M against the 2024 salary cap.Might Payton and the Broncos' relatively new ownership group already prefer to hit the reset button under center? Sure. Again, while Wilson was improved this year, he's 35 and very expensive (No. 5 among annual QB earners). But can Denver move on? Is it even possible for Payton and Co. to get out of Wilson's deal following the 2023 season? The answer is yes, but it likely won't save Denver much money in the short term. Here are the details: Wilson is currently signed through 2028, but he's only guaranteed money through 2024. That said, his entire 2025 salary ($37M) will be guaranteed if he remains on the Broncos' roster at the start of the next league year (March 17), per Over the Cap. So it's probable Denver will make a decision on the QB's future before then. The options: The Broncos can outright release Wilson by March 17, but doing so would actually result in a loss of $49.6M in 2024. Denver is already projected to be at least $18M over the 2024 cap, so cutting him straight-up wouldn't be logical. Designating him a post-June 1 release, however, is a distinct possibility. In that scenario, Denver would eat Wilson's 2024 salary ($35.4M) but actually avoid any financial blow to the 2024 cap. In other words, they'd save nothing immediately, but millions beyond 2024.The other option, which is far more unlikely: trading Wilson. It's not that the QB wouldn't have any market; odds are he's restored some of his value to other NFL teams after bouncing back from 2022. But a trade before June 1 would result in an immediate loss of $32.6M against the Broncos' 2024 cap. Denver could deal him after June 1 to save $17M -- the best-case financial scenario for splitting with the QB -- but that would require waiting until the summer, well after the start of free agency, to find a trade partner. The other factor in all of this: Wilson's health for the remainder of 2023. Injured players cannot be outright released -- without a negotiated injury settlement, at least -- so that explains Denver's benching of Wilson for the final two games. The Raiders notably demoted former starter Derek Carr, who had a similar injury guarantee in his contract, at the end of 2022 before releasing him in the offseason. But Carr's benching all but guaranteed an eventual breakup; that appears to be happening in Denver.
