I’ve been watching Broadchurch for like 2 minutes and already I’ve seen Jodie Whittaker, a guy from Bones, the head nun from Good Omens, Arthur Darvill, Olivia Coleman and freaking JONATHAN BAILEY. Britain truly has 12 actors.

So i know a common complaint aboht this show is that it’s so slow and the people yap too much to fill the time.

But I watched BROADCHURCH okay (you may only know this as the show that david tennant stars in, the one that people edit david’s character into chilchuck from dunmeshi) And that show CRAWLS

Anyway I LOVE IT SO FAR HAHA. I LOVE SITTING AND LISTENING TO PEOPLE YAP AND do NOTHING BUT REEL

wasn’t really planning on liveblogging broadchurch but i just wanna call it that mark didn’t do it and the reason his prints were found were because he’s cheating on his wife and was doing it in the storage house or whatever. also danny knew.

okay actually that one wasn’t too bad. still think the long-form plot is a shambles and the dialogue is not getting any better but i can’t say no to weeping angels.

might head back to the coal face to try and watch another episode of doctor who series 13 because i feel like i have to catch up before the 60th special

Ok so I’ve made it to s03 of Broadchurch. Besides some new but familiar faces (hi Simone Ashley, Sarah Parish and band teacher from Sex Education), I think the main thing that’s sticking out to me about this show is how I’m on ep 6 and I legitimately have no idea who did it. They do SUCH a good job of dropping clues about people that then later have nothing to do with the crime being investigated. It’s like, yes they’re being shifty, but nooooottt for the reason you might think. And it’s brilliant that they’re able to keep the audience guessing for so long, especially in an age with an over-saturation of formulaic whoddunit shows. I also appreciate that we’re still getting follow up on people who were involved with s01 and s02 - they aren’t really the main characters per say but they’re still playing a role in the overall story. Honestly it’s all around just a fantastic show.
