Weak Hero University (1/?) [Reader x Weak Hero]
Summary: I know you assholes are crying now that the first season of Weak Hero is over. But you've got other things to focus on, like where the fuck you're going to live after getting kicked out of your old dorm. Luckily, you've found one last open room on the other side of Weak Hero University. What could possibly go wrong?
Genre: Romance, Humor, Slice of Life
Date: 1/1/2021
-----
“I’m sorry miss, but this is the best we can do for you at the moment”
A paper slides its way across the heavy wooden desk, room illuminated by fluorescent bulbs and touting a single decorative banner draped across the wall: “Welcome to Weak Hero University.”
“It’s the only room we could find. The terms are a bit… Different than what students usually get, but I’m sure you won’t have too much trouble accommodating.”
You look at the housing agent, her waxy skin and tacky gold earrings swinging with every polished smile she threw at you. Then you look down at the documents sitting in front of you, feeling a bit offput by her strangely persistent attempts to move you into this room.
“I’m sorry, I’m not quite sure what the issue with this room is?”
She breaks out into a laugh that sounds like grating metal and you nearly shit your pants on the spot.
“Oh dear, there’s nothing wrong with the room honey! Don’t you even worry about that.”
Manicured red nails scrape up some files sitting beside her. She places them in front of you and waves her hand over them like she’s presenting you with a metal suitcase full of crack cocaine.
“See here, dear. The room is in tip-top-shape!” She swings her head each time she speaks and you swear you can hear something breaking in her neck.
“Your own bed, a window overlooking campus, central air conditioning, a kitchen and a bathroom, running water—no lead,” She winks at you as if this is a treat, “and a shared common area for all your new friends!”
She weaves her fingers together and smiles again, like a shark. “This is an ideal situation! Wouldn’t you agree?”
You look at her warily and lean over to inspect the commodities list more carefully. True to her word, there was promise of your own room and accommodations to basic necessities. It was more than your previous housing had provided, and certainly beat sleeping on the streets after being kicked out.
“I guess it is. What’s the payment?”
She grins and you think you hear a baby crying in the far distance.
“Emotional debt to fictional characters.”
You look up from tying your shoe, far too distracted by kempt laces to be paying attention to the plot.
“I’m sorry, what was that?”
The agent smiles. “I’ll send you details later, dear.”
You hum as you scan the terms again, almost entirely convinced that you were being swindled but not being able to do anything about it because University hates you.
She slips a fountain pen into your hand while you’re distracted and points at a line at the bottom of the page, hands draping over the top portion of the paper.
“If you’re ready to make this official, please sign the form next to this X, honey.”
You don’t really see how there’s a better option, so you reach over and sign your name, ink running from the pen like blood from an open wound.
The moment your pen lifts from the paper, she snatches it up again and beholds it like a jewel.
“Finally, my well-deserved raise.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
She grabs a pair of keys and tosses it over her shoulder with surprisingly skillful aim, landing them right in the palms of your hands.
“Good luck, honey. We’re closed, so get out.”
You’re pushed out of the office with the keys in your hands and the door slams shut behind you.
You’re left wondering what exactly you had gotten yourself into until the next day, when you find your way to your new room, luggage in tow behind you.
Much to your surprise, this part of campus wasn’t the run-down dump you had presumed it was. In fact, the buildings all looked relatively new, perhaps even more recently built than your old dorm. Your queasy gut that had been stirring all morning was nearly placated. Perhaps everything would be alright, after all?
You raised a hand to knock on the door but hesitate, pulling it close to your chest.
Would you be able to make friends? What if you didn’t get along with some of them? These suite-styled rooms were the largest available on campus, and you’d be lying if you said you weren’t even a bit nervous.
You gain a glint of determination in your eye and furrow your brows, clenching your fist like a shoujo anime protagonist.
No! You wouldn’t allow these bad thoughts to cloud your conscience. You came to Weak Hero University to make friends and have a good time, not to get good grades! You were stronger than that!
You clear your throat and go to knock on the door, only for it to be flung open loudly by an auburn-haired man.
“Fuck! I told you there was someone outside, dumbass!”
A shoe comes propelling out of nowhere with supersonic speed towards the man, and right before you could mutter a “Huh?” he moves and it slaps you square in the face and breaks the sound barrier.
It sticks for a moment then flops onto the floor by your feet, your eyes blown wide.
“Dude what the hell? You hit her! Epic aim bro!”
A young man sitting on the couch bellows out with laughter, black hair falling into green eyes. Another man with strange, green-dyed hair emerges from around the corner holding another slipper, looking abashed.
“Damn, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hit you. I was aiming for Ben.”
You take in the scene slowly, looking down at the number printed on your room keys and then at the number on the door.
“Why were you trying to hit him?” You ask numbly, suddenly beginning to remember the name of the documents the agent had you sign.
“Because…” The green haired man trails off, a bit of a flush on his cheeks. “He doesn’t wear pants when he opens the door.”
You look down and lo and behold, a pantless Ben stands across from you.
It becomes crystal clear to you in that moment, as a gray-haired boy hands Ben a pair of shorts, the title of the documents right before the housing agent had draped her hand across the top.
“Weak Hero University – BOYS DORM AGREEMENT”
Your dreams of becoming a shoujo anime protagonist are dashed. Welcome to shounen life, you sad bastard.

[doki review #2] The Story Between a Dumb Prefect and a High School Girl with an Inappropriate Skirt Length (ongoing)
After having binged quite a few shoujo manga series, I'd say most shoujo male characters would fall into certain "templates" of personalities: aggressive tsundere type, cold tsundere type (that sometimes bullies the heck out of our girl), gentle soft type, extroverted friendly type. Seeing all these personalities being recycled again and again without much alteration can get, well, rather mundane (though I do admit there is the comfortable familiarity when you dive into those series at times). Female shoujo characters have even less background for quirky personalities - frankly speaking, most of them usually have the, well, what I'd call a "fluffy personality" - warm, emotional, usually acts before thinking. Sprinkle it with some obliviousness and doormat tendencies. That formula pretty much works for any combination with the categories of the male characters, and that's how you get about, well, 75% of shoujo manga I have read (as I have said, I can't assert for all shoujo manga series). I'm pretty sure looking at my list of templates, you probably already have some titles popping up in your minds.
Now, don't get me wrong. The fluffy personality, if written well, can be very endearing to read. However, same for male characters, if it is the same recycled formula with not much room for quirks... honestly, to me at least, it gets really boring.
As I was about to give up this venture into shoujo manga after having read titles of the almost identical structure of characters, I stumble across the masterpiece of them all.
The Story of Between a Dumb Prefect and a High School Girl with an Inappropriate Skirt Length, by Takuma Yokota.
- How did I start reading this?
I always had a thing for well-written quirky tsundere characters, both males and females alike, and I was quickly drawn to the female character, Poemu-chan. More on that very soon.
- And how is it so far?
*joyful tears appear at the corner of my eyes* ok, maybe not. But you know what I mean.
- Genres and overarching themes?
Genres: Comedy, Romance, School life, Shoujo
Overarching themes: youth (really makes me rethink in what parallel universe would I ever have this kind of high school life...), friendships, one's blooming feelings, some denial of feelings
- Plot: 3.8/5
I'll be frank - if you're looking for a quirky plot filled with excitement, or a cerebral, reflective plot prompting you to think, this is not exactly where you'd find all those things. This manga has a rather typical school life plot - beach episode, school festival, just the typical daily school life episodes. Being a fan of slice-of-life stories, I'd say this is a rather well-executed slice-of-life story - it is a calm review of high school years that focuses on the relationships between characters, and the emotional aspects that come with it. What really pushes me to continue reading is how well the wholesome interactions are drawn, making me want to root for more romantic development between the characters, how the author seasons the daily school life episodes with fun dialogues and very well-written comedy, and the extremely adorable characters, which I'll be talking about soon. //w//
- Characters: 4.25/5
The characters, main and side, are really entertaining. Poemu Konihata, our main female character, is just adorable. A carefree girl that does what she wants, not bothering to conform to any rules (including school rules, yes, which is the main pivot of the story lol), Poemu is a quirky, fiery character with the right bit of tsundere, and a very soft side that she tries not to show, but ends up unconsciously showing to our main male character, which makes it even more wholesome to read. The just-right denial of her feelings is so... heck, it makes you want to hug the manga and the author, if he allows it, of course. OwO
Our main male character, Sakuradaimon Tougo, is probably one of the most refreshing male shoujo characters I have ever read. He's very much a dork - being a school prefect, he follows the school rules to a T, and is passionate about values such as discipline. Together with a large douse of obliviousness, Sakuradaimon is easily the exact polar opposite of beloved male shoujo characters, the one that would probably star as a comedic relief rather than a potential interest in typical shoujo mangas... but not this one hohoh. His refreshing straightforwardness - the way he easily says the things on his mind, and the utmost respect he has for our female character is so cool - reading it really makes you want to root for him. After a few chapters, his quirky personality really starts to grow on you, and he becomes an extremely endearing character, whilst at the same time being extremely badass in his own unique way. He really is a best boy. //w//
The side characters each have their own quirks - and I absolutely love how female characters have their own unique personality traits. For more information, you can go ahead and dive right into the series hehe. ;3
- Art: 4/5
As seen from the cover, you can probably realize that the art style is really different from most shoujo mangas... and it's so, so cute! You have Sakuradaimon's stiff movements that very much suit his personality, Poemu-chan's blush, all these details just further make this series an extremely fluffy read.
- Doki moments?
Oh yes... honestly, everything that Sakuradaimon says lol - his dialogue come out straight from a typical shoujo manga without him even realizing it, and the way he so honestly and earnestly says them is just... urghhhh, even I feel the dokis with Poemu //w//, that dodgeball scene ahhh, the end of the supplementary lessons episode AND Sakuradaimon visiting Poemu's house omg and dont let me get started on the real g - the volume 5 akhaksdgakjsdhg bruv it's so,,, fluffy,,,,, my kokoro bro
- Enjoyment: 4.25/5
Really great if you're looking for a very unique, light-hearted, funny, fluffy read c":
- Overall: 4 - 4.3/5
Again, I'll lower it for now because it's still ongoing, but it's definitely near a 4.3 for me. A joy to read, definitely.
- Read it or neh?
Oh yes, please read it. Doki approved. UwU

Now that Kurenai Yuzuru's taidan is drawing closer, I wanted to write something short about some of the roles she's done that I have fond memories of.
These are mostly from Reon's era, since most of my Hoshigumi shows are from that time. I need to see more shows from Kurenai's own top star run.
Mercutio from Romeo&Juliette 2010
This was the first zuka show I saw, and still my favourite show to this day. I could go into all the details about how I love this musical, but now I'm just going to mention the casting. It was perfect. Everyone got a role that fit their acting style perfectly. Kurenai was a natural Mercutio, the best one I've ever seen. She nailed Merkku's immaturity, playfulness and – most importantly in my opinion – his recklessness.
Memorable scenes are Mercutio's song number when he tempts his Montague buddies to go with him to crash the Capulet's party, him and the boys bullying Nurse, confronting Romeo after hearing the news about his wedding (I was quite shocked to see Mercutio threaten Romeo with honor violence, claiming he's going to slit his throat if he won't give up Juliette) and the fight scene followed by Mercutio's death including a final song of ”goodbye friends and PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!”
I admit, I don't usually care for it when zuka gives a dying character one final song that they sing in weak, slow voice, milking the tragedy for all the drama its worth. It often fails to be sad and just feels cheesy and soap operaish. But I found the song of dying Mercutio very touching, when I saw the scene for the first time I cried real tears. Despite the language barrier, Kurenai managed to reach to me with her voice and her acting and make me shed tears for Mercutio's death.
Sid from Officer and Gentleman
Officer and Gentleman isn't the kind of movie I'd thought would get a zuka adaptation and yet it exists. Zuka is very clearly targeted for women and this movie is more for the male audience. I know it has a romance and is therefore regarded as a love story but in my opinion this flick is more like a coming-of-age story about the character growth the male lead goes through (also, it oozes toxic masculinity, a thing more common in films for men). Anyway, the zuka version is actually a pretty good show. Ouki Kaname totally steals every scene she's in. But today I'm here to talk about Kurenai.
Kurenai is probably best known for her talent in comedy. Sometimes I've heard people say that's the only kind of shows she should do and that always made me sad, because Kurenai isn't a one trick pony trapped to do only one character type. I have been very impressed at her talent in playing sensitive men. Many otokoyaku roles rely on strong and cool male image, but Kurenai sometimes gets roles that let her show emotions, the men she plays are allowed to be vulnerable. Sid is one of these. Sid is young and a bit naive and makes stupid decisions, but when he thinks he's done a mistake, he is ready to take responsibility of it. The scene where he goes to propose Lynette breaks my heart every time. That look on his face when he finds out he's been lied to, it just hits me right in the feels. There is something so naturally charming and lovable in Kurenai that seeing her characters get hurt makes me feel awful. Like, no, don't do this to her!
Karenin from Anna Karenina
I have not read this book, but its one of my mother's favourites, so we watched this show together and she pointed me all the things that she thought zuka had adapted well and the parts that they had changed. She was especially impressed with Kurenai's Karenin. According to my mother, the character of Karenin is often done quite poorly in other adaptations of the book, he is often portrayed as just a onesided, simple man who's a little dumb and doesn't have much depth of character. Much like Sid, Kurenai's Karenin is allowed to show his emotions and not be just a boring, stoic figure who reacts to his wife's affair with mild disinterest. There is kindness in Karenin, it's not always easy to see, but it's there. He lost his own parents and a brother that was dear to him, and because he remembers how horrible it is to be alone and lose your family, he adopts Anna's and Vronsky's child, not wanting her to be left alone.
Antonio from Tale of Coimbra
I have opinions concerning this show. Namely, I think it misses a golden opportunity to put the zuka trope of reunion of lovers in the afterlife to proper use. Big part of the Coimbra legend are the coffins of Pedro and Inez being placed so that when they rise in Doomsday, the first thing they see is each others' faces. And zuka just had to go and twist the story so that Inez doesn't die (and they don't even get a happy ending despite that! Poor Pedro, he just can't win.). Also, very, very disappointed at the lack of Corpse Queen and tearing out assassin-Makaze's heart with a line ”You broke my heart, therefore you have none!”
Ahem. Sorry about the rant. Anyway, Kurenai is in this musical. He plays a guy named Antonio, who is... umm... I think a pirate or a robber or something along those lines. The group of robbers/pirates gets made into scapegoats for Inez's murder, and Pedro, Pimenta, assassin-Makaze and some soldiers mercilessly slaughter them all. Kurenai's role gets very little stage time, but I wanted to mention this role, because I was very impressed with her stage swordplay skills. I don't know if I should credit the director for this, or if Kurenai did some research of her own, but her legwork is strong and sometimes I can even identify the poses she makes as part of real swordplay moves.
Warrior seeking to fight with Reon, from Takarazuka Floral Dance Scrolls
This is my favourite nihonmono revue. The music, the dancing and the costumes are all great. In one of the numbers Kurenai plays a warrior who doesn't get along with another warrior, played by Reon. I don't know what their beef is about, Kurenai just hates Reon's guts and sends ninjas to ambush him when he's spending time flirting with local ladies. Reon being Reon, he defeats all the ninjas and makes a daring escape with courtesan-Nene. They are heading towards a river, intending to ride a boat to safety, but by the riverside Kurenai confronts them. Holding his sword he opens his arms like inviting Reon for a hug. Come at me bro! And so they fight, doing the samurai slash thing where time freezes after they've struck at each other and then the one who lost slowly falls. The one who falls is Kurenai, and Reon and Nene proceed to their romantic boatride.
This number has left an impression on me, because I think the nihonmono look suits Kurenai really well. She made a very handsome and cool-looking warrior.
Shibata Rihito from Mei-chan's Butler
Takarazuka and shoujo manga have walked hand in hand since the days of BeruBara Boom and even before, inspiring each other. Every now and then zuka does a show based on a manga. This one, unfortunately, is based on a manga I have never read and therefore I had no idea what was going on during most of this musical. But I still found it rather entertaining (the prop work sure was something different, with weird video projections, shadow theater and parachuting puppets). I admit, the many colourful side characters steal the show from Kurenai quite often, being wilder and weirder than her character is. I will have to give special mention to Makaze's evil butler, I love it when Makaze plays villains. But at the end, this is Kurenai's show. She was a very dashing butler.
Memorable scenes include a weird, artsy, dream-like interpretive dance scene where the shadow theater is put to good use for * symbolism *.
Because I haven't read the manga, I have no idea what is going on here. My bet is on drugs.
Also among the memorable scenes is the fencing. I still think Kurenai is pretty good with a sword.
I need to come up with name for this trope, where the opponents lock their swords for a while to glare at each other and chat.
Bourguignon from Second Fortuitous Meeting
Many zuka comedies are wasted on me because so many of the jokes are language based and I still don't understand much Japanese. But this one I liked very much. Admittedly, I got to read a translation once, so this time I got the jokes, but even ignoring the spoken jokes, it's just a really fun show. Every character was fantastic, Kurenai's role as a manservant forced to fake being his own master included. Her talent in comedy is very strong, she masters small things like the tone of her voice, the expressions of her face and simple bodylanguage and makes her character absolutely hilarious. I have noticed that one character pair zuka shows tend to have is pairing a cool and serious master with a sassy, loud, no-filter-between-brains-and-mouth servant, who works as a comedic relief softening the seriousness of their master. In a show like Second Fortuitous Meeting, where everyone is sassy, loud and has no filter between brains and mouth, Kurenai needs to tone her comedy up quite a bit so that Bourguignon will appear even funnier than his master.
Most memorable scene is Bourguignon sitting down in protest like a misbehaving infant when Dorante demands they leave.
This show got a sequel. It was just as fun as the first one, even though this time I had no translation and so had very little clue what was going on. Something involving a pumpkin thief.
Beniko and Reon's father from REON!!
Otokoyaku in drag for comedy reasons is quite a common thing in zuka, and usually I find it as amusing as real men in drag (in other words, not very). But I adore Beniko. The reason why her comedy works is that the joke isn't just putting otokoyaku in drag, Beniko is a carefully designed sketch character. Her costume, her curls that she constantly keeps shoving back over her shoulders, the way she speaks (this has to be some sort of dialect, I swear), she is just incredibly funny. I don't think I can properly explain why I find her so amusing, after all I don't even understand what she says. There's just something about Beniko that always makes me smile.
There was also a number where Reon sang about her family. Makaze and Kurenai played her parents. Makaze made a very charming Japanese beauty in her apron (I usually don't like it when they make her wear dresses, but here she looked so natural it suited her well). She had to bend her knees a little to appear shorter than Kurenai. Kurenai as Reon's father was weird looking, with thick eyebrows that made him look like a comic character. But he was a very sweet father, eagerly making faces and shaking a rattle at baby Reon, and smiling even when the fighting kids accidentally poured a tea kettle on him. I've always felt that Makaze and Kurenai had great chemistry together and seeing them play a married couple was adorable.
Gemini from Etoile de Takarazuka
Again, putting otokoyaku in drag isn't fun if you don't give her character. Well, in this revue Kurenai had to put her skills to the test by switching between two characters several times during the same number. The split-personality Gemini suffered from manic-depressive behavious.
The female side was happy and giddy and optimistic (”Everybody loves me, I'm so pretty, and so witty, I'm so gay!”)
...and the male half was gloomy and depressed and had no self-esteem (”Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms...”).
I have to respect her for managing these quick switches between otokoyaku and onnayaku, cheerful and gloomy, the changing between characters was done smoothly.
Also, I want that dress... suit... costume... thing... I want that dresssuitcostumething. I would wear it to every dance ball ever.
Frederic de Marmont from Napoleon
This show had a ton of characters, many of them quite colourful ones, and unfortunately Marmont was often left as only the observer of things happening around him (well, the story is being told by him, so it kinda fits). Nevertheless I think Kurenai was very handsome in the uniform, and I think Marmont got some important scenes. He knew Napoleon from the military school and there's a song number where he voices concern for his friend's endless thirst for more victories. In the end, he is the one who decides to surrender Paris, understanding that it's madness to keep fighting and lose more lives when losing the battle can no longer be avoided.
The part I remember Kurenai most in this show is actually from the minirevue. She dances a rather romantic dance with Makaze. I will say it again, these two had great chemistry together.
Philippe from Sun King
I know there are probably only like a handful of fans who like this show besides me, but I loved it. I've always been a sucker for French imported musicals in zuka. This show is another example of good casting, everyone gets a character that no one else would have done as well as they have. Kurenai, being the best there is at comedy, gets the comedic relief character Philippe the gay-tailed pheasant, who also shows to the audience how the royals and nobles lived in a fantasy bubble completely separated from real life. She gets three songs and she sings them well. I haven't mentioned it before now, but I really like Kurenai's voice. It's a very recognisable, charming, unique voice. I also have to show respect at how easily and naturally she wears the gaudiest costumes. This show has some really ridiculous costume designs for the nobles to show how separate they are from common folks, but Kurenai wears hers with pride. I can almost picture her looking at a costume desing and being like ”Wow that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen, when can I try it on?”
Percy Blakeney from Scarlet Pimpernel
When Reon and Nene graduated, my star also left Hoshigumi and I followed her to a new home troupe, so I haven't seen that many Hoshigumi shows after Reon's era. But when I saw that they were going to make Scarlett Pimpernel, I had to get it. I had seen Kurenai perform Percy as a shinko role and I thought she was brilliant even then.
Of course I was going to use screenshots of the fencing scene. What else did you expect?
Once when I was sick and couldn't even read books, just rest, I borrowed some audio books from the library. This is how I was introduced to Scarlet Pimpernel. I liked the audio book a lot, especially the menacing, raspy voice they gave to Chauvelin. I was delighted to discover one of the first stories to use the idea of a masked hero. Men who like Batman are not allowed to make fun of me for liking Scarlet Pimpernel.
Scarlet Pimpernel is such an entertaining story and Percy is such a charming hero, saving innocents and having fun while doing it. I like Kiriya Hiromu's Percy a lot too, but Kurenai's is my favourite. She really gets into the character and makes a very lovely Percy. Having to wear disguises in this show, she once again shows her ability to fit into all deliciously awful outfits (like the suits they wear to the party held by the prince of Wales). But even out of disguises, I've got to admit Percy's got style. I also obviously adored the sword dance in the mini revue. Kurenai's Percy brings a smile to my face whenever he's on screen. This is probably the role I will remember her most from.
I will miss Kurenai terribly. Whatever she decides to do after leaving Takarazuka, I wish her good luck and happiness as thanks for all the times she brought me lauhter, tears and joy.

summer 2019 anime sum-up
lmao i realized i never did this and posted the fall season b4 this.... oops
kimetsu no yaiba: tbh started out kinda meh. and now it’s turned into one of the new big shounens. i was not expecting that. nearing the end got rly good and i was rly looking forward to more episodes! tanjiro gets cooler and cooler! animation is rly nice (thanks ufotable) and the way tanjiro’s water is animated. like. aesthetic asf. it’s so good. i love black-haired emo dude and zenitsu (my spirit animal) and ofc nezuko she is adorable im c r y. side note: the hashira? i think they’re called? some of the ugliest fkn characters i’ve seen in ages like flame boy? stone boy? i HATE them. and the gem dude too like man get a new tattoo artist on god.... he needs it.,,,,,,and inosuke is so pretty it’s unfair
dr stone: ok man dr stone rly went off. tbh. i’ve always been a whore for chemistry since reading the flavia de luce series (btw, i want more books of) and watching this just tickles my noodle brain in a good way... who needs prozac when i get a shitton of serotonin from watching senku dick around.... (btw what is going on with what’s his face and the girl. yuzuriha????? i can’t remember. i love senku don’t get me wrong but i need their perspective too... bc i hate lion dude... so much.... dick....) again i will repeat that i am a whore for chemistry so i get oFF on this. backgrounds are amazing/ animation so nice n clean (most o the time lmao). i thought i would hate the black n white haired trickster boi and ms yellow ponytail and suika but no! dr stone is such a good show that they are now great, loveable characters. also i am senku and chrome’s whore so jfc. man, i love the explanations of all the chemistry shabang, but some things i think would be better if explained! like senku doing physical labour at the beginning- ex. making all those pots and building that shit by hisself. i know he weak af. yes he smart but like. construction? difficult. pottery? even for me the artist . difficult. and that shed of his was filled to the brim. HOW. anyways, i love this so much i am crying constantly
just realized i didnt need to write about dr stone. oh well.
danmachi 2: wtf yo. haruhime is so pretty but not a fan of her personality! bell still cute af and still don’t rly like aiz! animation good as always, and my god i shit myself whenever the argonaut theme starts up bc that is ? one of the best pieces of non-sawano hiroyuki pieces i’ve ever heard? addicted to it. and the opening! love the dynamics, the brief ‘rain’ scenes like when mikoto slashes the raindrops and just her motion basically? as an animator that is what i aspire to accomplish because i just love that. tiny little scene.
arifureta: this would have been so much better had they dragged out mc’s op-ifying process! made him suffer more! i explained this briefly in my ‘first thoughts’ post for this season, but story-wise and pacing-wise his power-up could have been so much more deserved and gratifying. think shield hero- loser suffers, gets angry, slowly builds up power in an epic payoff! would have been so epic too. and also if they’d made his gained powers less.... crazy nerfed. again: HE SHOULD HAVE SUFFERED MORE AND THIS WOULD HAVE MADE A BETTER SHOW. harem thoughts: yue- meh. sucky char honestly. shea- my fav girl, she is a great character don’t judge- sexy and love her personality and love her character design and love how much fanservice she gets lol. panty flash ftw. dragon girl- discount darkness honestly , tho nice design. and mermaid girl- yuck, annoying, DO NOT like the ‘papa’ trope! (ahem sao.) it’s gross. also just fuck mc’s classmates honestly- paladin dude sucks ass, healer girl OOF that last episode ruined her, samurai girl is ok i guess. hate ai-sensei too like shut UPP annoying ass HOEEEEE (postscript: opening=very epic too)
kanata no astra: plot twist? check. trillion well-done plot twists? check. this was done very well. i am so happy. all those plot twists and turns would usually suck in any regular anime- but this was written with GODLIKE ability. thank you, lerche. legit, this was such an enjoyable ride, i eagerly awaited each new ep! typically i hate space-related stuff but like! survival stuff gets my goat.... like this was good- (tho maybe more technical-stuff in the survival theme would make it so cooler) what shocked me the most: (spoilers alert) didn’t end up hating quitterie or funi. (tho the puppet made me want to strangle smth) luca’s gender had rly confused me but i’d decided on him being a boy- so basically that reveal left me like WHOA. i died. did luca rly have to show emo boy their tity tho... kanata losing his arm gave me the yeeeks, charce being the traitor was made sO WELL into a surprise even tho i’d kinda already suspected him<- like that was just fucking amazing writing there. gj. and ares the princess! ok man! shocked! AND also the whole clone thing, just fucked me right up. up the ass. like there are probably more plot twist layers in this than a fkn ogre has.... anyway shrek aside, yun?’s character arc was very pleasing, i think that was done very well! and the ending made me UwU like BRO? goals tbh. yeah this is a hidden gem and is just so good, so well-written overall.
cop craft: didn’t have high expectations. i am now,,, quite,,, shocked &,,, blown away. sweetheart this is a good fucking show. so why @ livechart.me DOES IT HAVE 7.40 STARS WHEN FKN ARIFURETA HAS 7.72. can someone explain this to me? i’m outraged. LIVID. matoba and tilarna were amazing characters btw! loved their dynamic! briefly i thought it might get romantic! nope, it didn’t, so it’s all good. actions scenes were epic, tilarna’s design and outfits were so much nicer than i thought they’d be like. she is so cute. and the op- man, if that is not such a bopper vibe then idk what is. i could watch it forever. it deserves so much more than what it’s got rn.
naka no hito genome: (serious question: is this considered some sort of isekai?) genome gave me btooom vibes honestly but like- this is SO much better than btooom and most game/trap/ kinda shows. fkn BOP of an op, especially the sequence at the end with short clips of each character in action (nutt). paka-san was a good boy and he deserves irl merch. i fell in LOve with all the characters (bubble boy= hot, akatsuki= ok meh actually kinda boring, karin= hot and i want her to punch me, ruromori= beautiful 12/10 would let her stalk me, sleepy eyes boy= baby + dazai vibes and hot af, twin boy= also hot, onigasaki= hot and love him so much, and loli girl= her light grenades got annoying but nice char design) anyways yeah more of this would be epic. i wanna see sakura and her twin reunite, and how they get out basically! also animation quality was very good which is surprising considering it’s a silver link anime.
kono yo no hate de koi wo utau shoujo yu-no: i include the whole title bc this is a good anime. (also livechart.me why 7.27 stars i will fuck you up) only meh part of this is the return to earth from dela granto bc that was like a culture shock and honestly at that point i’d forgotten a lot about what had happened on earth and didn’t care as much. btw, f ayumi and f the other brown-haired oneesan. mio and kanna ftw. obvs i didn’t understand the sayless x takuya thing like dumbass horny teenager . why u gotta creampie the worst girl. u have mio. bruh. (tho mio x ‘oyabi!’ boy is a great ship) also, takuya’s mom? keiko-san? idk if you’ve noticed but that’s literally my name so yeah just glad to finally have some keiko representation. altogether goodass anime. the time travel/ rezero esque reset thing almost got me but this was done well. so no problems. both ops very good. first song was bae, second also bae (just realized it’s by konomi suzuki, one of my waifu idols, so yea nice) and ed2 also so pretty! also yu-no’s design was rly pretty, the outfit colours, and her pigtails rly suited her :)
granbelm: sorry this is the last one lol this was a long ass post! other than the fact i dont rly like mecha this was good.... action, CHARACTER designs aesthetic asf, honestly rly pretty ok. i liked the cast, very diverse and more depth than most shows of this ilk. op was nicely choreographed- especially the part where the girls’ faces are contorted by their gems, showing their magical girl side. nicely done. mangetsu didn’t end up being that bad a char, and honestly? suigetsu is best girl and deserved better. and the ending too- like, bro, that made me kinda sad. some off points: anna’s mom was a little unrealistic as a mom like woman- please learn to control your child, and, white-haired girl’s sister should have played a bigger part, based on how her parts in the opening were emphasized! (quick note- blue girl, love her, great bad guy, when she dumped anna made me so happy honestly, she is beautiful, and i couldn’t actually decide who i wanted to win between her and suigetsu....)
hope u enjoyed this bad review. pls share ur opinions w/ me on some of of these more controversial shows. thank.

tkpro-scenarios 1 Year Anniversary!
Today is October 9th, meaning it’s been one whole year since tkpro-scenarios has opened! It doesn’t feel all that long ago to us, but it’s really been 1 year... How about you guys? though you probably spent most of the year waiting for us to open the ask box lol
We just started this blog for fun and because we love Tsukipro but here we are now with 600+ followers!! We can’t thank everyone enough for all the support we’ve gotten, with your requests, reblogs, likes, follows and kind messages.
It’s probably a little late into the game lol but mods decided to finally make an introduction post for ourselves! We’ve also included how we made the blog as well as how we usually go about handling with requests. We hope you enjoy reading them, they’re under the cut~!
Mod mari
(the mod who wrote yokai!ryo angst)
Favorite unit/characters:
GROWTH. I fell in love with Growth and Ryo(heh)
I generally love all the units and their members, you can’t just dislike one haha Ryo, obviously stands over all though.
I found out about Tsukipro after researching more about Tsukiuta, since after Tsukiuta’s anime ended, I was reading up about them when the Tsukiuta fb page introduced the tsukipro units and Growth just became my first unit because they said that they do harmonies and celtic-like compositions. I grew up listening to classical music, so I was drawn to them haha
My next unit was SolidS, because aside from being a fan of the SolidS seiyuus, I befriended mod nana, whose first unit was SolidS haha and then I listened to Quell and SOARA soon afterwards.
Other fandoms:
Natsume Yuujinchou (Natsume must be protected at all costs)
STARMYU
Donten ni Warau (I blame mod nana for anything related to this series)
DAYS
Hunter X Hunter
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu
Idolish7
I have more than this, but yeah

Mod nana (aka the mod that hogs all the SQ/Kou requests lol I’m sorry mod mari!)
Favorite unit/characters:
SolidS is love, Growth is life.
“So you like Growth the most?”
haha well, ‘この愛は 命越えて | This love transcends life’ (I’ll stop trying to be poetic now)
I love all the units but yeah, SolidS was the first TsukiPro unit I decided to follow (I knew of Tsukiuta before but following 12 boys was too much for me at that time lol).
I kept seeing the word ‘SolidS’ around a lot at that time and wondered what that was but didn’t pay much attention to it. I then heard Shiki’s “Shinku no Koi, Rin to Hikare” on a blog I used to frequently visit and wondered what series it was from, only to see ‘SolidS’ again.
After that, I saw this video of Egu’s OreIya program and I was finally like “okay what the heck is SolidS?” and decided to find out more about them. I was surprised to see that it was related to Tsukiuta and listened to a few more of their songs and here I am now, drowning in SolidS hell with no intention of getting out lol
It was around that time that I also became friends with mod mari after finding out she listened to Growth. As we kept talking, I also started listening to Growth’s music and eventually SOARA and Quell as well.
Other fandoms:
Donten/Rengoku ni Warau, Shinigami x Doctor, :REverSAL, just all of Karakara Kemuri’s works. Please check her out, she is an amazing mangaka and storyteller.
Magi
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Natsume Yuujinchou
STARMYU
Hypnosis Mic (Fling Posse King!! Buster Bros still no.1!!!)
there’s more but this is all I can think of off the top of my head lol

How mods decided to start this blog:
It’s a pretty boring story really lol. Both of us have always wanted to try being part of an imagines blog for a while now but didn’t really know which fandom to make one for. After ProAni started airing, it was basically just “hey wanna make an imagines blog together?“ “sure why not?” and here we are~!
How mods usually go about answering requests:
There’s no hard and fast rules, we just work on whatever request we want or split the characters for a single request among ourselves. After we’re done, we post it in the drafts for the other to proofread and if both of us are happy with how it turned out, we post it.
We do have fun brainstorming with requests as you can see from some of our chats below:
(When the White Day Poll was ongoing pt.1)
mari: Either Serious/Obligation or Teddy Bear for Ryo is perfect for tsun!ryo tho
nana: ikr? But they don’t suit Tsubasa...
mari: Yeah...
nana: Can we switch prompts for Sora and Tsubasa? Tsubasa would probably give flowers while Sora would give a teddy bear
mari: Is that possible tho lol
nana: ...If Sora miraculously gets more votes than him?
nana: the recent votes are either for Mori or Ren so there’s a small chance Ren could beat him by the end of the day
mari: Ren is about to beat sora with something again besides height
nana: lmao you can do it Ren-kyun~
(When the White Day poll was ongoing pt.2)
nana: For the sake of prompts I’d like Dai-chan to beat Tsubasa cuz like how cute would it be to get a teddy bear from Dai~?
mari: Very cute
nana: “I-I didn’t know what to buy... b-but here. *hands teddy bear*”
“Wah~ So cute~! Thank you Dai-chan! ...but you know you have to return with triple the value right?”
“Y-Yeah so?”
“So, triple what I gave you wouldn’t just be a cute teddy bear... but you dressing up as one don’t you think?”
mari: Tsubasa(eavesdropping): GREAT IDEA
nana: lmao run Dai-chan, run!
mari: Rikka and Shiki wants to see too
nana: Ooh alternate (borrowing from [an idea for] Ken)
“I-I didn’t know what to buy... b-but here. *hands teddy bear*”
“Wah~ So cute~! Thank you! Haha I think I’ll call him Dai-chan~”
“Wh-Why Dai-chan?!”
“Because you don’t let me call you Dai-chan, so at least let me call this cute little bear you got me Dai-chan~”
(White Day Poll results... pt.1)
nana: It’s
1) Eichi (White Day Date)
2) Ryota (Serious or Obligation?)
3) Tsubasa (Teddy Bear)
4) Sora (White Day Sweets/Flowers)
mari: TSUN!RYO HERE I GO
nana: Fluffy!Eichi coming your way fans~
mari: IMAGINE RYO DECIDING WHETHER TO BUY LUXURY ASS CHOCO OR MAKE ONE HIMSELF FOR S/O AND HAVING A MENTAL BREAKDOWN CAUSE HE’S LIKE: i don’t want her to think its giri...
nana: RYOOOOO
ooh and wondering whether to ask Kou for help or if it has more meaning if he everything by himself while Ken teases him(rip Ken-kun)
nana: But I can also see him being smooth af and be like
“Think of these as my serious feelings for you, after all, I need to answer yours with three times the value, don’t I?”
mari: But its not honmei either, i just want to return what she gave from valentines...
Bruh, imagine him going up to kou asking to help him make choco or how to do it and then kou asks innocently/curiously: why.
(White Day Poll results... pt.2)
nana: Sora’s gonna be sending reader Sweets and Flowers. Taking a page from Shiki are you boy?
mari: Tsubasa be like: y’know, we forced Shiki to wear a tux, go to s/o’s place with chocolates and flowers...
nana: Tsubasa: ...and it ended with something AMAZING happening~
Sora: s-something a-amazing...?!
Tsubasa: Well they played the pocky game and then things went from there~
mari: Shiki: stop telling him these things
nana: Sora: WHAT HAPPENED SHIKI-SAN?! AND WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN?!
nana: Shiki: *points at camera* IT’S 10 YEARS TOO YOUNG FOR YOU!!
...And that’s pretty much it about us and the blog lol. We still have requests pending and we apologize for not getting them out as fast as all of us would like but as always, we’d like to thank everyone for your patience and support.
Please do join us for the Cards Against Humanity Game we plan on holding later this month if you have the time!
We can’t say if this blog will last for another year or longer, but both mods would like to keep it going for as long as we can!
Thank you once again for everyone that’s been with us for the past year as well as those of you who joined midway or even just a few days ago. We hope you’ll stick around and send requests from now on as well.

The writer takes some time
Love as well as Shoujo. Perfect combination!
I was taken by this manga online by surprise. the item, art-style and also HUMOR expected a routine shoujo love manga however instead amazed me. Believe me, this manga will not stop working within the wit division, you'll end up breaking up at parts.
Right from the beginning it had actually an amusing installed. A-16 yo high schoolgirl fills up set for her older bro in accomplishing a 26-year old to obtain a "MIAI" that will certainly be like a couple meeting approximately obtain a feasible marital relationship suit. From that initial occasion as much as today amount, the exchange in between both of these has actually prolonged and also right from the beginning both significant characters have a remarkable seminar and also it has really remained intriguing.
The feminine guide is fairly impressive, she does not squeeze into the typical women shoujo personality of being controlled by the individual and also hesitating, reluctant. This lady can get titfortat with this individual and also her funny remarks remain in times so exceptional within the funniest means! lol (I'm joking just taking into consideration a few of the sights).
I like they've progressed the link in between both of these within this type in an even more useful way than numerous mangas. The writer takes some time to in fact level and cultivate their web link via the areas, that our team believe can make to obtain a rather enjoyable web link inevitably.
The artwork of mai ball manga got some obtaining made use of to initially there is only so much happening, for me, yet adhering to a couple of sections you have the ability to readjust virtually additionally it gets easier to check out along. The facial expressions were a number of my individual favorite, they're so interesting and that I liked it!
I'm unclear where the story of manga online may continue by yet given that it stays continuing, but when I would certainly to choose something I would certainly prefer to see within the coming areas, It 'd be to jump in to the major issue between these to that will be age difference. The final area takes a look at that the bit; nonetheless, because that is mainly a comedic shoujo manga, the majority of it is frequently rather moderate and enjoyable, and so I believe it'll be taken into consideration a fantastic stability to discover these parts in a much more serious as well as conflicted technique to in fact attract the audience in.
I not expected to offer it this kind of high-score, but I think it deserves it. I would certainly suggest it to any individual that had actually like love manga. I expect seeing where the story get ready for some jokes and also steps! Check out also this related topic: https://themangaguide.wixsite.com/manga/post/yga5q8w80vlmx8200dxjtfj1646270737
