And in others, like that of Giuliani, people may simply “be judgment-proof, bankrupt, or otherwise unwilling or unable to pay”, she said. “In both situations, we’re testing the outer boundaries of libel law’s ability to remedy the harm done by falsehoods and to deter defamers from telling future lies. We are also, more fundamentally, testing the rule of law,” she added. “If the incentive to lie to audiences eager to receive those lies is stronger than the power of any court proceeding, and if defamers have decided that they simply will not participate in cases brought against them and will avoid paying damages when they are issued, this raises far deeper concerns.”

I've got like half an hour or so of the episode left but I'm posting this so I don't forget; you know Brennan's sometimes talked about NPCs who act affronted that they are in a D&D game and people are off doing D&D PC stuff (Caramelinda from A Crown of Candy and Steel from The Wizard, The Witch, and the Wild One being prime examples)? Ashton reminds me of real-world people who act like everything is a D&D game. Like, the people who seem to genuinely think that if you guillotine a billionaire, their money will spontaneously be equitably distributed among the masses and their contribution to air pollution will suddenly become an equivalent source of clean energy.

I am talking in behalf of the entire fandom and most likely of the vast majority of the characters you yourself have created and written about in your books. This is my official plea to give Zara Dearborn a torturous and horrible death. This fictional character is hated by all of us and has done unforgivable sins. The only right punishment would be death. Now if you want I can give you some suggestions... For instance medieval torture was very effective and painful and therefore perfect. Now of course you could also make Emma Carstairs or Julian Blackthorn kill her which would be enjoyed by the readers very much... Of course disowning her family name would also be a perfect addition to whatever punishment you may give her
