Violet Bridgerton Prequel Spin Off Idea

I know both Julia Quinn & Shonda have said they would love to explore Violet's story in a spinoff. I don't know if they would do her and Edmund's story or give her a present day spinoff with her relationship with Lord Anderson.

Either way, I have an idea that I think would do well based on a similar format we got with Queen Charlotte.

Past timeline:

We could see Violet & Edmund's love story. How they met, became friends, fell in love, got married, and started the Bridgerton Family.

Alongside this, we could also include Portia Featherington's back story. We know that she did not have a happy marriage and that she married for security, but I do wonder if she did ever love another but wasn't allowed to married them because of status. I'm also very interested in learning about how she got to where she did with Lord Featherington.

Present Timeline:

We could see a look into Violet's relationship with Lady Danbury's brother and maybe see her struggling with it because she does have feelings, but she is also worried about moving on from Edmund.

Portia Featherington's daughters have all found loving marriages and she finds herself happy, but also wishing for a chance at love. Now, that her and Violet are family, the two begin having teas togethers and sharing moments with Baby Polin, maybe getting ready for a special ball/party to celebrate the new Lord Featherington's birth, etc. And it's during their many chats that Violet sets her sights out to help Portia find a love match.

There has been a lot of talk over the last week about a Kanthony spin off, not just from fans but in the media and from Simone herself. So, now is the time to be realistic and consider if it is realistic that we may get a Kanthony spin off.

Forget a Violet x Edmund story for a moment. I need a Portia story. What happened to that woman for her to stop believing love?

I would love to have a spinoff with the Featherington's and Portia story. It would be very interesting.

But I love Polly Walker so I want her to be in it.

Let's be honest... We all want a spin off of the Violet & Edmund romance, and then maybe seeing Edwina meet Prince Frierdrich (even though I know that the second one will probably never happen with Edwina's actress having left the series, with no idea if she will return in the future and what's more, Edwina ends up with another man in the books and that the series does not change the canonical couples).

i would be so so interested in a bridgerton spin off with the next gen because they would be reaching marriagable ages just as the industrial revolution begins! the show would explore a different, period in history with shifts in socio-economic order AND in the concepts of eligibility & desirability

You'd think that after two seasons of the main show and a spin-off series, people would know to TAG THE BLOODY SPOILERS. Especially if someone is live blogging or answering asks the day the show has come out, you will be constantly showing up on people's feeds. It's rude and inconsiderate. Tumblr's system to hide tags works well, and it blows my mind that people aren't using it when the only other way for people not to see you is to unfollow or block you.

Summary: it is the last day of their honeymoon but Anthony refuses to believe so.

"My lord, it is time for your morning tea."

He is nudged awake to sun rays streaming in through the window and the even brighter silhouette of his wife.

"Kathani, can you stop calling me that and come back to bed or so help me God-", he turned around in the flimsy covering of linen on his body, burying his face into the pillow so he could let sleep take him.

If he woke up, the day would invariably progress on and that would mean returning to his life as Viscount. He wasnt ready for that. Not yet.

He felt the sheets curve in as she snuggled in next to him, pushing, pushing, pushing at his arm until she was comfortably settled under it. She kissed his cheek, his forehead, his nose, until she had his face turning up in an eager wish to capture her lips once more.

"Anthony.", she whispered, making his eyes flutter open. There was a light touch of melancholy to the brown depth of her eyes and it made him uneasy. Pushing himself up on his elbows, he plucked a stray strand of her hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear.

Brushing his nose against hers, he ran his tongue along her lower lip, relaxing further as he felt the smile return to her face. They fell into the kiss with a quiet familiarity that they had gained over the past few weeks, his hands finding home on her waist, her feet hooking themselves over his as they pulled each other closer than was humanly possible.

"What is it, my love?", he whispered, interspersing each word with a peck on her face, her neck, her collarbone. She looked worried. And he wanted to set her back at ease.

"Anthony, today is the last-"

"Shhh.", he countered, quite sternly for his usual self. He knew what she was saying. He did not want to hear it.

"Nothing is true when I just refuse to believe it.", he murmured, continuing to kiss the skin under her ear. He heard her moan, smelling his victory as her nails dug into his arm as she shifted under him, letting him settle between her legs.

"You're right. Let's forget about it. Just for now."

No but hear me out, Kanthony in India could be quite the story.

Anthony Bridgerton in a kurta! Him seeing Kate in a saree or lehenga because lets face it, the man will lose whatever braincells he had left and simply disintegrate.

The only problem with the writers trying to send Kanthony away to India is the timing of it. Edwina is already married and Kate is with child. After the trauma of Hyacinth’s birth, nothing on earth can convince me that Anthony Bridgerton would willingly let his wife take a hazardous six month journey back to India. Tha just doesn’t make sense.

Another thing that does not make sense woth the timeline is that, if Edwina made a match in India, it must have been while Kate and Anthony were on their honeymoon and I’m sorry but how on earth do you expect me to believe that Kate would miss her little sister’s wedding?

It is all tempting me to write again, something like a fix it where Kate and Anthony embark on a journey to India, because Edwina is supposed to get married, maybe to someone from the maharaja’s court because why not?

Kate leaves for India, but with her endearing, besotted husband who worships the grounds she walks on. They come to India and they do all the things that we are craving to see on screen (Anthony in Kurta? Another sneaky, playful haldi ceremony in the privacy of their rooms? Another mehendi ceremony because ofcourse Kate will have Anthony’s name sneakily written on her hands in hindi? Vexing one another? Potentially some old suitors of Kate, just to make Anthony sweat? Her taking him to all the spots of her childhood, just the way he did in Aubrey hall? Babymaking? Recieving the happy news firsthand?)

Anyway this list will never end. I dont know if we would get a spin off or not, but I might just get around to writing this.
