You get about halfway to the left wing when you get tackled. The man who bought you is on top of you, snarling "oh, no you don't! You're mine!" I go for his eyeballs with my fingernails and knee at his crotch and bite at his throat and yank at his hair. He rips your hand down before you can get to his eyes, but doesn't anticipate the kick to his groin that stuns him, and you taste blood before he can react. He goes still after that, probably not dead by his hard breathing, but maybe headed there.

I think both MCs might be in that slightly insane zone...

we usually think of mood as a scale from 1-5, but there's actually a negative scale too, where the frown turns back into a smile, but just a little insane !

back in 2022 i was so obsessed with the chilling adventures of sabrina. i remember i was so depressed at the time and watching the show was truly the highlight of my day. i would listen to music and imagine myself as part of that life and i would genuinely feel so frustrated and sad that none of that could be real (knock knock: SHIFTING). little did i know that two years later i would think so differently and shown that it IS indeed possible.

oh my god I'm 8 chapters into this 10 chapter Batman RIP AU and I only just bothered to look at the author. And it's esther-channah. no wonder there's a frankly insane amount of comic canon references sprinkled throughout the fic. they know all the canon

I can definitely buy that. (Are you also trying to argue your guys into believing that they have value? XD) It's remarkable how much the person we trusted first seems to have changed the direction of the plot we ended up in.

I'm flipping through Batman fics that were written pre-Flashpoint on FFN right now and I just saw a Heart of Hush mention in a fic summary...and it's for a Riddler/Catwoman fic of all things 😭
