In case you’re curious, this is looking west from the intersection of N. Market Street and E. Main Street. Anyway, this reminds me of photos by the likes of Stephen Shore, and I wonder if photorealistic painters of banal scenery were influenced by these photographers, or if it was the other way around.

KHOU is a Houston news source. Stole a loaded flat bed 18 wheeler. Evasive maneuvers with cops chasing. Drove it into the front door at DPS. Backed up to take another shot. Apprehended [it's a cop shop, besides licensing]. "Parker did come to the DPS Brenham office yesterday at approximately 3 or 4 p.m., where he was denied his commercial driver’s license,” said Sgt. Justin Ruiz with the Texas DPS. “While he was there, the driver’s license staff advised Parker that he was not eligible to renew his driver’s license.” DPS does suck, but that's too far.

I don't understand this property at all. It's a 1925 former freight depot in Brenham, TX and it's supposedly a 1bd, 3ba townhouse, according to the real estate description. It's $895K and from what I can tell, you get the whole building. Look at this "townhouse."
This is the entrance. Okay, it's kind of cute.
But, then what is this? I like the original ticket office, that's nice.
Then, what is this supposed to be?
There's a cool display in the corner.
But, this is definitely an office, not a townhouse.
There's a dishwasher in here, but it's not a kitchen, and there's a half bath.
And, another office.
Then, enter a loft area from a huge room.
So, there's a light fixture for a pool table and some memorabilia which may or may not convey.
I guess this is the living room. Do the statues convey?
It looks like there's a commercial style snack bar on the right.
Ballroom? Jazzercise classroom? Huge space. Look at the lumpy ceiling.
Finally found the kitchen. The photos aren't much help, either.
Then, off the kitchen, there's a sitting area.
Maybe this is supposed to be the bedroom?
Another office off to the side. This is a business, not a townhouse.
I guess you can call this a deck in the back, and that small piece of green would be your yard.
You could say that there are 2 terraces back here.
And, historically, this must've been the depot.
Then, here you have parking.
You can see the train tracks going by. They're pretty close.
And, this would be your .27 acre lot, like a little island. I didn't see any bedroom or full baths pictured.

Take Me Back To Eden
12 - Tearing Me Asunder Beside You
Pairing: ii x OFC Violetta Kastor
Rating: Explicit (MDNI!)
Warnings: trauma response, panic attack, aggressive ex girlfriend
A/N: Oof is all I can say.
Violetta was suspicious. There was a woman, blond and taller than her, walking about in the backstage areas of the festival, seemingly lost, but at the same time, she looked like she thought she belonged there. She definitely had a press pass or a photo pass, but Violetta couldn't make out which was which, but she had a feeling this woman was up to no good.
Violetta felt a little creepy trying to follow her but it had been with Jack's blessing as he'd seen her as well. Jack had looked concerned and Violetta thought maybe it was someone he knew that he didn't want to see. Whatever the case was, when Violetta casually strode past her, while she was leaning against someone's drum riser, she made sure she got a good look at the woman. She was almost platinum blond but her roots were showing a natural dirty blond, and she had very angular facial features with a lot of makeup on. She had smokey eye makeup and cat eyeliner with bright red lipstick. Violetta could tell she had a lot of foundation and blush on. As for her wardrobe, she wore a tight black pencil skirt, with black nylons underneath, black heels with red bottoms, and her blouse was white with a focus on the v of her breasts. She had long, fire engine red nails. She looked like a reporter and certainly didn't belong backstage at a metal festival.
Violetta glanced down at her own outfit, sporting tight, skinny, acid wash denim, and her bright yellow Bad Omens tank top, with the cut out back so that her one back tattoo was visible. She always forgot about that one, but it was Jesse's favorite. It was two koi fish circling a water droplet, with a crescent moon above them and a japanese paper lantern below them. She had on work boots with the laces not tied but ticked under the tongue of the boots as per usual on a show day as it was easier for her to get around and not worry about her feet getting crushed as opposed to having sneakers or anything else on her feet. She wore a bunch of different rings and some bracelets, and she did stick on nails because they were easy and they helped protect her actual nails. She had a couple of bracelets on her left wrist, a scrunchie on her right, and her nose stud which was amethyst. Not to mention her hair, the vibrant purple standing out especially with the yellow tank top.
The point being, Violetta looked like a ragamuffin compared to this woman. But Violetta certainly looked like she was supposed to be here. Violetta hung back when someone stopped the woman, overhearing the conversation. It was a security guard and he spoke decent English with a heavy German accent.
"Name and purpose?" He asked and she held up her press pass.
"Natasha Brenham, I have a press pass. I'm interviewing bands for a magazine." She said and Violetta's stomach dropped, hearing the woman was clearly British. Was this Cal's ex girlfriend? Could it just be a coincidence? She certainly looked like a cold hearted bitch. Violetta strode back to where Jack was and she must have looked panicked because Jack dropped what he was doing and came over, holding her by the shoulders.
"What happened?" He asked.
"What's Cal's ex's full name?" She asked and she saw concern flash in Jack's eyes.
"Natasha Brenham." He said, stone cold.
"Well...she's here. She has a press pass. Security stopped her but she said she was interviewing bands for a magazine." Violetta explained and Jack put a hand on Violetta's back and began to usher her toward where the guys dressing room was.
"That's quite the cover story she's got. You need to go find Cal and keep him busy. Send me Jesse and Steve. I'll talk to security too. And Vi, don't tell Cal she's here. He'll freak out." Jack explained and Violetta rushed to where the guys were hanging out. She didn't see Cal initially when she arrived at the room. She tapped Steve on the shoulder and he glanced up with a scowl.
"Can you go help Jack with something? It's really important. Like really important." She said in a low tone and it was like he had telepathy. His expression softened and he nearly ran out of the room. Jesse perked up at that and stood, stopping Violetta before she was going to go to Cal at the back of the room.
"What's up?" Jesse asked, tilting his head.
"Security issue." She said sternly, glancing at Cal, who had just turned around. He stood, smiling as his eyes locked on Violetta's. She tried her best to fake her expression for him, while still trying to let Jesse know what was going on. Jesse understood right away, gaining insight from the tone of Violetta's voice and her tense body language.
"I'll take care of that. You take care of him." He said, turning on his heels to leave. Cal surprised Violetta by stepping close into her space, and hugging her. He didn't kiss her. He spoke softly into her shirt.
"I know I surprised you with what I said last night and I don't expect you to say it back if you're not comfortable with that. I just needed you to know how I felt. If this all feels too fast I can slow down...I can..." He explained, and Violetta stopped him.
"Cal, I don't want to slow down. I'm perfectly fine with all of this. Yes, you did surprise me, And I didn't say it back because I was still a little buzzed and I didn't want to say something so serious for the first time like that. But I do love you. I really do. I think I've loved you from the moment I met you." She elaborated her thoughts much more elegantly today than she would've last night. Cal's smile as he pulled back to look into her eyes was so bright and wide, something she hadn't seen yet and she was so happy to see it. Now, if she could just keep him occupied enough for Steve and Jesse to get rid of his ex, they'd be golden.
¤ ¤ ¤
"Well, look what the cat dragged in and pissed on." Steve said as he encountered Natasha. He looked her up and down and she scowled at him.
"At least I don't look homeless like you, Steve." She said with a dark chuckle. Her arms were folded across her chest, but she'd pushed her breasts up so they looked fuller, hoping to catch someone's attention probably.
"Steve may look homeless but he doesn't look like a scum sucking road whore." They both heard a very Welsh accent from behind them. Jesse appeared with icy cold resolve in his eyes.
"Okay boys, enough name calling. Let's all be civil. I just wanna say hi to Cal while I'm passing through." Natasha said, making a move toward Jesse. He flinched back away from her and Steve put a hand on his friend's shoulder.
"Yeah, that's not fuckin' happening." Steve said, glaring at Natasha. She smirked and narrowed her eyes.
"You were always jealous of what I had with him." She said and both guys laughed.
"Uh, a toxic, and very abusive relationship? No man deserves what you did to him." Jesse said, going to step closer to her, trying to intimidate her, but Steve put a hand on Jesse' chest to stop him. She chuckled darkly and her already shit eating grin widened.
"You two are being awfully hostile. Just let me talk to Cal. I promise I won't hurt him." She said and Jesse scoffed at her. A security guard showed up just then and she raised her hands and spoke. "Fine, boys, you win this one. I'll see Cal before the day is over though."
She strutted away toward one of the other bands' backstage areas and both guys took a deep breath. They asked their tour manager, Theo, to add extra security and he did. They all had a current photo of Natasha, along with a written physical description. The last time she'd come around she hadn't been quite that platinum blond, so they made sure that security was aware that she may try to change her appearance.
When Jesse went back to the trailer, Cal was reclined on the couch, with Violetta pulled close. He was half asleep with his head on her shoulder, and she was wide awake, having waited for him and Steve to come back.
"Where were you two?" Cal asked, pressing his nose into Violetta's neck. She giggled quietly, his nose tickling her. She turned her head just in time for him to catch her lips with his, then he glanced up at Jesse and Steve.
"Just taking care of something." Jesse said, eyes flicking to Steve, then Violetta. There was a knock on the door just then and Roman stood to answer it. He slammed it and tried to lock it before the person could push it open but he failed, the force of whoever it was knocking him back against the wall.
'Found you, fuckers." A rough female voice said and Violetta shot up as Jesse and Steve turned around. Jesse yelled for security as loud as he possibly could and in the commotion, Cal locked eyes with her .
His breath left his lungs. His heart began beating to sixteenth notes. His limbs felt numb and he felt like he couldn't do a damn thing to escape. She felt like she was getting closer and closer every second, as Steve, Jesse, and Roman tried to stop her. Cal didn't know what her goal was, but she looked like she wanted to murder him more than anything. Then, he felt arms lifting him and pushing him toward the other exit.
Violetta.
"Go!" She said, as he regained feeling in his body. He was on the verge of a panic attack, but he was hanging onto calm by a slim thread because of her. Because of Violetta. She was keeping the energy in the room, the energy he needed to get up and literally run out the back door. He nearly tripped going down the stairs, but with her hand in his, they ran. He knew Natasha would find them but for now, he would be safely away from her. They ran past several other bands' trailers and a few of them called out asking what was going on, looking toward the direction they came from. When he and Violetta slowed after a good five minutes behind another trailer, he nearly collapsed on the ground.
"FUCK." He yelled, burying his head in his hands, his breath coming out in short gasps from both sprinting and being in a panic state. His heart was racing and so were his thoughts.
"FUCK. FUCK. FUCK HER. " He nearly screamed at the top of his lungs and he sank down, bursting out in tears. Violetta couldn't do a damn thing to calm him down now. His bucket of stress had spilled all over the floor and had dampened everything. He felt like everything was ruined. Natasha had reared her violent and ugly head once again just as he was at his happiest that he'd ever been and...
"Cal, please let me help you. Please." He heard a voice, Violetta's voice and from his blurred vision he saw her, sweat soaked and exasperated from fleeing. Her hair was half falling out the ponytail it had been in and strands stuck to her forehead. He honestly thought she looked gorgeous like that. She reached for him and he flinched, a primal need to protect himself taking over. She withdrew and her brows knitted, and her jaw worked as she puzzled over what to do. She ran her fingers through her pretty purple hued hair, scrunching some in frustration. Her expression softened and she sat next to him, leaving a foot wide gap. She took a deep breath and reached for his knee, hoping he might recognize her gentle touch instead of his instincts telling him it was going to be painful. Her lips quivered and for some reason that brought Cal back to some place he could interact from. He reached for her hand tentatively, and then he was pulling her on top of him, going from zero to sixty, his lips clashing with hers. She took his face in her hands, pressing her forehead to his. He swallowed hard, gritting his teeth as his eyes focused on her drumstick scythes dangling in front of him. He felt light headed and his surroundings spun as he closed his eyes tight, forcing another kiss.
"Tell me what you need, Cal, please, tell me how to help you." She begged softly and he shook his head.
"I don't...I don't know...I don't know...I just need...I need...you ..I just need you...here...I need you...to stay...please stay here...please don't fucking leave me...please don't leave me..." His words came out fast and harsh, but he stumbled over them, and it was as if his mouth knew what needed to be said but his brain couldn't process a million feelings all at once.
"I'm not, Cal. I won't. I love you. I don't want to leave you." She hugged him tighter and felt him vibrating with rage.
"Why would you want to be with someone as fucking broken as me! Why would you ever want this?" He yelled and it made Violetta close her eyes and take a deep breath. She knew he wasn't yelling at her directly, but this was such a change from his normal quiet demeanor that it unsettled Violetta a little bit. There was clearly more trauma there than he ever let on. More than he would probably ever tell anyone, even Violetta.
"Because I love you. I love you so much, Cal. I'm here to stay. I won't give up on you." She said with such certainty it made Cal's negative thoughts bounce around and out of his head for a moment as he looked into her eyes. She held him steady, feeling that he was shaking, which had calmed from earlier, but he was still shaking. Still freaked the fuck out.
"You really want me? With all of this shit?" He asked, and she nodded.
"Yes, I do." She said, their lips meeting again as Jesse came upon them, huddled on the ground. They both glanced up at him.
"She's gone for now . She ran off after security came. Ran the opposite way of you two. You okay?" He asked, kneeling down. Cal nodded and stared into Violetta's eyes, searching for solace, and realizing quickly it was only her that he could it it with.
¤ ¤ ¤
Violetta could see how badly Natasha affected Cal now. He was so off during the ritual, in addition to several other things going wrong. Lighting mishaps, microphones cutting in and out, and he walked off for a few moments instead of doing a drum solo during The Summoning.
On the last song, The Offering, she'd noticed he'd hit the rim of the snare and a stick went flying. It happened to drummers all the time, but before she could catch him at the end of the set, he'd run off to the green room. She exchanged looks with Jack, who shrugged and just asked her to help for a few moments tear down gear and load out. He didn't keep her too long. When she pulled the snare off the stand she noticed drops of red splattered across the head.
"I think he hit his hand harder than we thought." She said, pointing to the spots. Jack took a closer look and he picked up the set of sticks that Cal had left under the throne. One had streaks of red. He nodded and told her to go find Cal, and make sure he was okay.
When she found Cal he was sitting with his head in his hands. Violetta sat next to him and had to double take. She had been correct earlier. The hand that had hit the rim of his snare had a long stream of dried blood. Mixed with the paint, she had bet it was hurting. She reached for his hand and he pulled away and turned away from her like an abused animal. She stood and left for a few moments, which made him look longingly after her. He didn't mean to push her away or reject her help but he was so scared now that he figured if he kept to himself he couldn't hurt anyone else.
When she appeared through the doorway again, she had a small first aid kit in her hands. She placed it on the small table in front of where Cal was sitting and she scooted close to him.
'Can I see?" She asked softly, and he obliged, letting her have his hand. He was shaking again. He averted his gaze, knowing he couldn't bear to let her look at him in such a defeated state. She examined his hand. She'd also grabbed baby wipes and began wiping the black paint off him, carefully. He watched her out of the corner of his eye as she worked to scrub the paint off, revealing his tattoos. Once most of the paint was off, she could see he'd skinned his knuckles raw. He'd been playing extra aggressively, taking his anger out on the drums.
"I'm sorry. This is gonna sting." She said, adjusting so that she was as close as she could get to him. She took an alcohol wipe and carefully ran it across his knuckles. He flinched and took in a shaky breath, but he didn't pull completely away. Natasha would've never taken care of him like this.
"I know you're not in a great place, but just know that anything you need, I'm here for you." Violetta said as she continued cleaning his hand up. She'd opened up what had already scabbed over, so she held a gauze pad to stop the bleeding. She gave it a few moments, then put a fresh gaze pad on and wrapped it so that it was covered, but he could still move his whole hand. Bending his knuckles felt awful and he winced as his eyes caught hers.
"There's a shit load of nerves in the hands. You probably bruised it pretty good too." She explained and he reached for her, ghosting his fingers over her necklace, then her cheek before he leaned in for a tentative kiss. He felt her smile into it and press in closer to him.
"Why are you so good to me?" He asked quietly, wrapping his arms around her.
"Because you deserve it." She said, closing her eyes and resting her head on his shoulder.
¤ ¤ ¤
Violetta felt herself being slammed against a wall, pinned against it, but she refrained from struggling, knowing there was only one person who was going to come at her like that.
Natasha.
It was as if the devil himself had shown up. Jesse had been right. She drained the energy from the room instantly. Violetta felt her aggression and anger and it was all directed toward her. Jealousy was abundant in the blond's eyes and the way her nails dug into Violetta's shoulders gave too much away. Violetta's nostrils flared, restraining herself from doing something stupid, so she only went in with a quip that she figured might get her socked, but it would be worth it.
"You're so close to me, I could hit you inside the mouth." Violetta said with a huge smirk. She braced for impact, but it never came. Natasha took a deep breath and poked a well manicured red nail at Violetta's throat.
"That..." She pointed at Violetta's necklace. "That just means the band owns you, not Cal. That II owns you . Just his stage persona. You'll never actually be his. You don't really mean anything to him. You're just convenient pussy that he can warm his dick with while he's on tour. I'm his number one. I've always been. I'm his ride or die. I'll do anything to get him back, even if that means making you disappear."
"You can certainly try, but I'm pretty fucking hard to get rid of. None of that is even remotely true. That, I'm sure of. You'll suck the fucking life from him like you did before and I'm not gonna let you. You're a fucking vampire and I'm your funeral pyre, bitch." Violetta pushed the taller woman out of her space and before Natasha could go at her again, Jesse appeared.
Just in time, Violetta thought as he stepped in front of her.
"Natasha, this has to stop." Jesse said and Natasha stepped one step toward him and her body language changed. She tilted her head, put her hands on her hips and batted her eyelashes at him, clearly attempting to seduce him. He wasn't gonna fall for it.
"No, what needs to stop is all of you trying to keep me from Cal." She said, showing her teeth like a dog.
"You are the worst possible thing that has ever happened to him. Leave him the fuck alone. Leave us the fuck alone." Jesse gritted and he put an arm out, protecting Violetta.
Natasha folded her arms across her chest and tapped a heeled foot. She scoffed at Jesse, and glared at him, then Violetta. Before leaving, she had to get one last word out.
"Mark my words, he'll be back with me soon enough." She pointed at Violetta whose face twisted in disgust.
