It makes me so sad to think of him ever having to see/experience even a fraction of the hate and discourse online about him— I’m glad he seemed to remove himself a while back, purely because he does not deserve it and it breaks my heart to imagine him reading some of the awful things people say :(
Brendon had to play the guy with confidence and cockiness to sell the band after the split, the whole fake it until you make it advice he always gave, from a guy who struggled with depression and anxiety and it took years to feel comfortable in his skin. It’s kinda funny to me that people actually believe he’s an egomaniac in real life.

saw the worst take on ryan of my LIFE the other day and held back so hard from telling someone to kill themself. like number one it all began bc they outed themselves as a brendon urie defender and said pray for the wicked is like one of their fav albums of all time which. LOL. anyways i already had enough ick but they specifically were like “yeah idk what exactly brendon did” so then people were like hey bestie! i mean it’s kinda understandable why people dislike him, here’s just a small example why [insert one of countless reasons u could think of]. and they were like “yeah im gonna be honest i just don’t have the energy to care” OK THEN DONT TALK ABOUT IT?? anyways on to the worst ryan take ever. of course amidst this someone was like yeah ryan carried or whatever and they were like “i’ve talked about this with people before, but people only put ryan on such a high pedestal because he’s been out of the public eye for so long and hasn’t had the chance to publicly fuck up” LIKEEE KILL YOURSELF?? KILLLLL YOURSELFFFF?????? to begin it is pretty difficult to fuck up as badly and ruin your image as much as brendon has like the reasons just keep fucking accumulating the list keeps getting longer and longer so no, i wouldn’t say ryan would manage to do it even if he had been in the public eye that long. and secondly, that’s my parasocial girlfriend my pathetic wet rat meow meow who has been through SO MUCH and I miss him KEEP HIS NAME OUR OF YOUR FUCKING MOUTH such incomparable situations and there’s no way he really COULD possibly fuck up as badly as brendon has. ohhh i was livid. and this was a formerly beloved mutual from like a panic adjacent fandom that until that day i didn’t even know liked panic. anyways that’s my niche drama of the week hope u enjoyed and can seethe with me. u missing ryan reminded me bc i also miss ryan and that’s my baby girl and i was so pissed off
anybody who says their favorite Panic! At the Disco album is pray for the wicked automatically is going to have the worst takes of all time and they should kts for all of that to be clear

New Reputation: Taylor Swift shares intel on TS7, fan theories, and her next era
Snakes begone. The 29-year-old superstar is back with a new album and a new outlook on life. We go inside the pop monarch's latest chapter.
THE PALM TREES ARRIVED IN FEBRUARY, seven in all, set against a pastel blue backdrop with superimposed stars. It appeared that a new Taylor Swift era was upon us — that the old happy-go-lucky Taylor was not, in fact, dead. Or did it? It wasonly an Instagram photo, just one more picture in an infinite content scroll. But it also came from a pop star known for prodigious hint-dropping, whose fans turn every piece of info into an online archaeological dig.
As expected, the summery post sent Swifties sifting through each detail with a fine-tooth comb. What did the trees symbolize? An overdue vacation? A recently purchased beach house? A secret palm-frond collection? Or maybe, as many surmised, it was new music. One Twitter user predicted that the number of stars in the background of the photo hinted at a single drop: “There’s about 60/61 [stars]️. There’s 61 days until April 26, FRIDAY, a SINGLE RELEASE day!” Another said it was the unofficial announcement of her next LP: “Okay so in this picture there are 4 palm trees on the left (4 country albums). There are two palm trees on the right (2 pop albums). There is one large palm tree in the middle. This represents her new album.” These may sound like ludicrous conspiracy theories — for the record, they were mostly correct — but they fit firmly within the Taylor Swift Musical Universe (it’s like the Marvel Cinematic Universe but with more guitars and fewer Stan Lee cameos).
“I posted that the day that I finished the seventh album,” says Swift about the photo. “I couldn’t expect [my fans] to know that. I figured they’d figure it out later, but a lot of their theories were actually correct. Those Easter eggs were just trying to establish that tone, which I foreshadowed ages ago in a Spotify vertical video for ‘Delicate’ by painting my nails those [pastel] colors.”
It’s now April, and the 29-year-old pop star is in a Los Angeles photo studio, giving her first sit-down magazine interview in three years. She wants to discuss the art of placing hints inside her work, as well as the upcoming record, which she recorded as soon as she finished the Reputation Tour. She’s also keen on detailing her own obsessions, talking up the TV shows, books, and songs that help shape her outlook on life.
Over the past 13 years, Swift has perfected the pop culture feedback loop: She shares updates about her life and drops hints about new music, which fans then gobble up and re-promote with their own theories, which Swift then re-shares on her Tumblr or incorporates into future clues. It’s like a T-Swift-built Escher staircase of personal memories and moments that tease what’s next. “I’ve trained them to be that way,” she says of her fans’ astute detective work. Swift is a pop culture fanatic herself (see: the jean jacket she’s wearing on the EW cover) and has an innate understanding of the lengths her audience will go to be a part of the original creation. “I love that they like the cryptic hint-dropping. Because as long as they like it, I’ll keep doing it. It’s fun. It feels mischievous and playful.”
Through this approach, Swift has designed the ultimate artistic scavenger hunt — and it’s easy to get swept up in its drama, even if you don’t listen to her music. Her moments aren’t always hidden, either. Sometimes Swift highlights aspects of her world just so fans feel like they’re on the journey with her. Like the time in March 2018 when pop singer Hayley Kiyoko was accused of shading Swift after mentioning her name during an interview. On Tumblr, Swift re-shared a fan’s post, adding commentary that defended Kiyoko, which immediately dispelled any conflicts between the two artists; Swift’s post subsequently received more than 29,000 notes. Four months later, she invited Kiyoko on stage during the Reputation Tour to sing her hit “Curious.” Kiyoko returned the favor when she had Swift join her that December at a benefit on behalf of the LGBTQ organization the Ally Coalition to perform “Delicate.” Fans of both artists were elated by the mutual support.
The feedback loop also extends outside of music. In October 2018, Swift broke her silence about politics by publicly endorsing two candidates for office in her adopted state of Tennessee, while encouraging her followers to register to vote. She kept up the civic momentum through Election Day when she asked fans to post selfies after voting; Swift then eagerly re-promoted her favorites on Instagram stories.
This practice of sharing and re-sharing and sharing again is why listeners consider Swift one of the world’s most accessible pop stars, someone willing to not only interact with her audience but invite them to secret listening sessions, or make the occasional surprise visit to their wedding or prom. It’s a symbiotic relationship, one that, as Swift tells EW, helped her dig out of the darker era of reputation. “It’s definitely the fans that made that tonal shift in the way I was feeling,” she says. “Songwriters need to communicate, and part of communicating correctly is when you put out a message that is understood the way you meant it. reputation was interesting because I’d never before had an album that wasn’t fully understood until it was seen live. When it first came out everyone thought it was just going to be angry; upon listening to the whole thing they realized it’s actually about love and friendship, and finding out what your priorities are.”
Then, during the Reputation Tour, she had an epiphany: that despite the caricature that she thought had been created of her, there were many people who saw what others had simply refused to. “I would look out into the audience and I’d see these amazing, thoughtful, caring, wonderful, empathetic people,” she says. “So often with our takedown culture, talking s— about a celebrity is basically the same as talking s— about the new iPhone. So when I go and I meet fans, I see that they actually see me as a flesh-and-blood human being. That — as contrived as it may sound — changed [me] completely, assigning humanity to my life.”
At tour’s end, she channeled that positive energy into the studio, recording the new album in just under three months. But the fast pace won’t mean a short LP. Swift confirmed that her seventh record (she hasn’t announced a title yet; the working nickname among fans is TS7) will include more songs than any of her previous releases. “I try not to go into making an album with any expectation,” she says. “I started to write so much that I knew immediately it would probably be bigger.”
The project will also feature a mix of old and new collaborators (on the candy-coated lead single “ME!” Swift brought in Panic! At the Disco frontman Brendon Urie and coproducer Joel Little, both of whom she had never worked with), but she is unsurprisingly coy about doling out much more information, as if doing so would break the carefully honed T-Swiftian feedback loop. “There’s a lot of a lot on this album,” she says. “I’m trying to convey an emotional spectrum. I definitely don’t wanna have too much of one thing…. You get some joyful songs and you get the bops, as they say.” There’s also, she adds, some “really, really, really, really sad songs,” but “not enough to where you need to worry about me.”
She gives us one more clue: The true distinction between TS7 and reputation is in the delivery. “This time around I feel more comfortable being brave enough to be vulnerable, because my fans are brave enough to be vulnerable with me. Once people delve into the album, it’ll become pretty clear that that’s more of the fingerprint of this — that it’s much more of a singer-songwriter, personal journey than the last one.”
The past month has seen a deluge of Swift activity, from the release of the new single to dropping more hints in interviews about the record and its title, which is apparently hidden somewhere inside the “ME!” music video (current fan guesses include Kaleidoscope and Daisy). But if the Easter eggs from the pop star seem like a business-as-usual routine, she says this album does indeed mark a new era of her life, where she’s been better able to prioritize what’s important to her.
“Our priorities can get messed up existing in a society that puts a currency on curating the way people see your life,” she says. “Social media has given people a way to express their art. I use it to connect with fans. But on the downside you feel like there are 3 trillion new invisible hoops that you have to jump through, and you feel like you’ll never be able to jump through them all correctly. I — along with a lot of my friends and fans — am trying to figure out how to navigate living my life and not just curating what I want people to think living my life is. I’m not always able to maintain a balance, and I think that’s important for everyone to know about. We’re always learning, and that’s something that I also had to learn — that I’ve got to be brave enough to learn. Learning in public is so humiliating sometimes…. Do I feel more balanced in my life than I ever have before? Um, probably yeah. But is that permanent? No. And I think being okay with that has put me in a bit of a better position.” Strong words to live by, to quote, to re-share, to tweet back to her, and see if she’ll respond.

Why Taylor Swift Has No Problem Defending Herself—No Matter the Cost
by BILLY NILLES Jul. 2, 2019
As Taylor Swift approaches her upcoming 30th birthday, happening on December 13 of this year, she's begun taking stock of the things she's learned over the course of her first three decades on the planet. In March, she let fans in on a handful of them—30 of them, to be exact—via a self-penned piece in Elle and near the very top, perhaps belying its importance to the superstar, is the following:
"Being sweet to everyone all the time can get you into a lot of trouble. While it may be born from having been raised to be a polite young lady, this can contribute to some of your life's worst regrets if someone takes advantage of this trait in you. Grow a backbone, trust your gut, and know when to strike back. Be like a snake—only bite if someone steps on you."
As the last few years have proven, Swift has certainly grown unafraid to bite as a means of defending herself and the things she believes in. Not bad for someone whose so-called silence invited accusations of standing for nothing from critics.
Take this weekend's response to the news that celebrity music manager Scooter Braun, whose list of past and present clientele includes Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Kanye West and Demi Lovato, was the new owner of her entire music catalogue, thanks to his media holding company Ithaca Holdings LLC. reaching a "finalized" contract" with Big Machine Label Group, Swift's former record label, to acquire the company. The deal, made for a reported $300 million, includes Big Machine Music, which means that Braun retain ownership of the master recordings of each of the six albums she's released to date, as well as music from other artists such as Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow and Lady Antebellum. And, as Swift admitted in an incendiary Tumblr post, it left her feeling "sad and grossed out."
After explaining that she'd hoped to own her work prior to departing Big Machine for Universal Music Group (Big Machine's distributor) in November of last year, only to be offered a deal to "'earn' one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in," as she wrote, she walked away from her past so that her future wouldn't be tied to a company that founder Scott Borchetta was clearly intent on selling to the highest bidder.

"Some fun facts about today's news: I learned about Scooter Braun's purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world," she wrote. "All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I've received at his hands for years."
As she explained in her post, she felt that Scooter's fingerprints were all over West and wife Kim Kardashian West's attempts to assassinate her character in the aftermath of the "Famous" lyrics debacle, which infamously find the rapper claiming that he "made that bitch famous," appearing in a screenshot of a FaceTime call between Bieber and West that the former shared with the since-deleted caption "Taylor swift what up" that she believes was intended to "bully [her] online about it" and allowing then-client West to release "a revenge porn music video which strips my body naked."
"Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it. This is my worst case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at 15 to someone for whom the term 'loyalty' is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says, 'Music has value,' he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it," she continued. "When I left my masters in Scott's hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually he would sell them. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter. Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words 'Scooter Braun' escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn't want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever."
Taylor's move to take the two men involved in the deal to task has, predictably, drawn a line in the sand in the music industry, with folks like Brendon Urie, Halsey, Iggy Azalea, BFF Todrick Hall and other BFF Selena Gomezs mom Mandy Teefey publicly supporting Swift, while Bieber, Lovato, and Scooter's wife Yael Cohen Braun, who accused Swift of bullying her husband by going public with her beef, thereby sending her fan base his way, coming out in support of him.
While the minutiae of the deal and who knew about what when remains unclear, with Borchetta and Cohen Braun both furnishing receipts of some sort in their rebuttals to Swift that challenge her timeline, what is clear is that Swift is speaking up not just to shine a light on an injustice she's experiencing, but also to prevent other impressionable artistic youth from falling prey to the same sort of contract she willingly signed back in her early teens.
"Thankfully, I left my past in Scott's hands and not my future," she wrote. "And hopefully, young artists or kids with musical dreams will read this and learn about how to better protect themselves in a negotiation. You deserve to own the art you make."
It's hardly the first time that Swift has vociferously defended herself while also trying to move the needle forward for those less fortunate than her, be they artists or women in general.
Back in 2013, Swift informed bosses at Denver's KYGO-FM that morning show personality David Mueller had sexually assaulted her, groping her at a meet-and-greet event as they posed for a photo alongside Mueller's then-girlfriend Shannon Melchor. "When we were posing for the photo, he stuck his hand up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek," she explained to TIME in 2017. "I squirmed and lurched sideways to get away from him, but he wouldn't let go. At the time, I was headlining a major arena tour and there were a number of people in the room that saw this plus a photo of it happening. I figured that if he would be brazen enough to assault me under these risky circumstances and high stakes, imagine what he might do to a vulnerable, young artist if given the chance. It was important to report the incident to his radio station because I felt like they needed to know. The radio station conducted its own investigation and fired him."
Two years after the radio host saw his employment status at the station go from "current" to "former," he filed suit against Swift, accusing her of lying and suing him for making him lose his job. He wanted $3 million in damages. As result, she brought a countersuit against Mueller for assault and battery, taking him to trial.

By 2017, she was on the stand, showing an unflappable, steely determination to defend herself in the face of a man who'd wronged her and a legal team intent on discrediting her. When asked why the photos of the incident didn't show the front of her skirt wrinkled as evidence of any wrongdoing, she answered plainly, "Because my ass is located at the back of my body." When she was asked if she felt guilty about Mueller losing his job, she responded, "I'm not going to let you or your client make me feel in any way that this is my fault. Here we are years later, and I'm being blamed for the unfortunate events of his life that are the product of his decisions—not mine."
In the end, the jury threw out Mueller's unfair dismissal case, ruling in Swift's favor, awarding the singer the symbolic $1 dollar she'd asked for. In a statement released after the verdict was rendered, she said, "I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this. My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."
A year later, Swift spoke to fans during a Tampa, Fla. stop on her Reputation Stadium Tour about the incident, thanking them for sticking by her during a "really, really horrible" time in her life. "I just think about all the people that weren't believed, or the people who haven't been believed, or the people who are afraid to speak up because they don't think they will be believed," Swift said. "And I just want to say that I'm sorry to everyone who ever wasn't believed because I don't know what turn my life would have taken if people hadn't believed in me when I said that something happened."
Over the years, Swift has also used her superstar muscle to advocate for what she believes she and all other artists deserve during this streaming revolution. In 2014, after penning an article for the Wall Street Journal in which she argued that "music should not be free" and that artists shouldn't "underestimate themselves or undervalue their art," she pulled her entire discography from Spotify.
"Music is changing so quickly, and the landscape of the music industry itself is changing so quickly, that everything new, like Spotify, all feels to me a bit like a grand experiment," Swift told Yahoo that November, defending her position. "And I'm not willing to contribute my life's work to an experiment that I don't feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists and creators of this music. And I just don't agree with perpetuating the perception that music has no value and should be free."

The following June, she penned an open letter to fans, explaining why they wouldn't be able to find her latest album, 1989, wouldn't be made available on Apple Music once the service launched. As she explained, her issue lay with Apple Music's decision not to pay artists during its free three-month trial for users to sign up. "I'm not sure you know that Apple Music will not be paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months. I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company," she wrote, adding that she was speaking on behalf of fellow musicians who had some hesitation at speaking out against the tech company.
"These are not the complaints of a spoiled, petulant child. These are the echoed sentiments of every artist, writer and producer in my social circles who are afraid to speak up publicly because we admire and respect Apple so much. We simply do not respect this particular call," she added. "We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation."
A day later, Apple announced that it would, indeed, be paying artists during the free trial period."When I woke up this morning and saw what Taylor had written, it really solidified that we needed a change," Apple's senior vice president of internet services and software Eddy Cue told Billboard in an interview after tweeting that the company was changing course. "And so that's why we decide we will now pay artists during the trial period."
By 2017, in time to celebrate 1989 selling over 10 million albums worldwide and, maybe, to tweak then-frenemy Katy Perry's launch of new album Witness, Swift's music was back on Spotify and added to Amazon Music and Google Play as well.
At every turn, Swift has revealed herself to be someone who has certainly found that backbone she wrote about in Elle. After West claimed he made her famous, he accepted Album of the Year at the 58th Grammy Awards with a speech that didn't mention the rapper by name, but spoke to him just the same. "As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I wanna say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame," she said. "But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you'll know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world."
When Kardashian West branded her a snake as she shared the questionably-recorded audio of a phone call between Swift and West as he was crafting "Famous," she took the animal iconography on as a central motif in her next album and tour, which became the highest-grossing domestic tour by a woman ever.
"A few years ago, someone started an online hate campaign by calling me a snake on the internet," Swift wrote in Elle. "The fact that so many people jumped on board with it led me to feeling lower than I've ever felt in my life, but I can't tell you how hard I had to keep from laughing every time my 63-foot inflatable cobra named Karyn appeared onstage in front of 60,000 screaming fans. It's the Stadium Tour equivalent of responding to a troll's hateful Instagram comment with 'lol.'"
When speaking with a German news outlet to promote new single "ME!" in May, she was asked if her 30th birthday meant she was going to settle down, get married and have kids soon. She shut that s--t down, saying, "I really do not think men are asked that question when they turn 30. So I'm not going to answer that."
As she's become more politically active, endorsing progressive candidates in her adopted home state of Tennessee, emphatically calling out President Trump, and advocating on behalf of the LGBTQIA community during this most recent Pride Month, after years of being criticized for sitting silently on the sidelines, she's opened herself up to criticism from those who wish their pop stars would shut up—unless they're spouting views identical to their own, of course. But it's no different to the criticism she faced when she was silent, or when she dared to demand fair compensation for her art, or when she simply wanted to be believed as a victim of sexual assault. All of which she's learned to look past.
"I learned to block some of the noise," she wrote in Elle. "Social media can be great, but it can also inundate your brain with images of what you aren't, how you're failing, or who is in a cooler locale than you at any given moment. One thing I do to lessen this weird insecurity laser beam is to turn off comments...I'm also blocking out anyone who might feel the need to tell me to 'go die in a hole ho' while I'm having my coffee at nine in the morning. I think it's healthy for your self-esteem to need less internet praise to appease it, especially when three comments down you could unwittingly see someone telling you that you look like a weasel that got hit by a truck and stitched back together by a drunk taxidermist. An actual comment I received once."
As for those in real life who are bringing her strife—like, say, Braun and Borchetta, currently—she's got a plan for dealing with that, as well.
"Banish the drama. You only have so much room in your life and so much energy to give to those in it," she wrote. "Be discerning. If someone in your life is hurting you, draining you, or causing you pain in a way that feels unresolvable, blocking their number isn't cruel. It's just a simple setting on your phone that will eliminate drama if you so choose to use it."
In other words, put quite simply, she's learned how to shake it off.

New Reputation: Taylor Swift shares intel on TS7, fan theories, and her next era
Snakes begone. The 29-year-old superstar is back with a new album and a new outlook on life. We go inside the pop monarch's latest chapter.

Peggy Sirota for EW
THE PALM TREES ARRIVED IN FEBRUARY, seven in all, set against a pastel blue backdrop with superimposed stars. It appeared that a new Taylor Swift era was upon us — that the old happy-go-lucky Taylor was not, in fact, dead. Or did it? It was only an Instagram photo, just one more picture in an infinite content scroll.

Love Actually. (Brendon Urie/Josh Dun x Reader)
For: @K-Winchester_02 on Wattpad
Request: (To start off, I’ve got nothing against Debby or Sarah, I actually really like them. So in this one we’ll just pretend they kinda don’t exist.) The reader lives alone and she’s been kind of down most of Christmas Eve, then she calls over her best friend Josh to hang out if he isn’t busy. He goes over, they talk, laugh and do best friend stuff like movies, popcorn, and cuddling. Brendon (the guy who has secretly liked her for a while) comes over because he didn’t want her to be alone on Christmas. She’s happy to see him (she’s secretly liked him too) but then he sees josh and gets the wrong idea, he gets kinda sad and she gets confused, a little but of drama happens, the best friend saves the day, and it can end all cute like cuddling in front of the fireplace or something……sorry if the request was super long lol
 REQUESTS ARE CLOSED.
 *
Note: Nice to know that you guys still trust me with Brendon/Josh x Reader stories lmao
Having no family around meant that the Christmas season was not exactly something you looked forward to, because everyone can agree that being alone during Christmas was not an ideal scenario.
True, you wouldn’t be alone on Christmas Day, since your friends had decided to do a ‘Friendmas’ this year. But choosing to spend the 25th with friends meant that everyone had dedicated Christmas Eve to spending time with their families.
Everyone except you, of course.
So there you were, vegetating on your sofa under a mass of blankets while some or other generic Christmas movie played on the TV. Blowing a raspberry, you started fiddling with your hair as you reached for your phone.
The clock showed that it was only 4:45pm and you groaned at the thought of suffering through loneliness for the rest of the day. You remembered that your best friend Josh had told you that his flight back from Columbus would be arriving at 2:45pm; that was two hours ago and you were certain that he was all settled from his trip already – since he’d only been gone for two days – so you decided to take a chance and call him to see if he wanted to come over and keep you company.
Much to your delight, he answered your call on the second ring and readily agreed to join you, even citing that he’d bring a hoard of food along with him. Sure enough, when the doorbell rang a mere twenty minutes later, you opened the front door to see Josh with a mountain of snacks in his arms and a Christmas hat on his head.
“Ho, ho, ho,” he smirked.
You folded your arms and cocked an eyebrow. “That’s not a very nice thing to call a lady.”
He pretended to look around. “I don’t see any ladies anywhere.”
You dropped your jaw and slapped him on the shoulder; he laughed and pushed his way past you and into the living room area.
“So,” he dropped the snacks on the coffee table before falling into your spot from earlier, “what are we going for? Home Alone? Elf? The Grinch?”
“Anything, as long as it’s not Love Actually,” you rolled your eyes and plopped down next to Josh, nudging him to move up a little and pulling the blanket over you, “That movie makes me want to throw up.”
“Hey, it’s a great movie,” he defended with a frown.
“Yeah,” you wheezed, opening up a bag of candy and popping some into your mouth, “if you have someone to be with. To us single folk, it’s utterly depressing.”
Josh smirked cheekily at you. “So what you’re saying is that you just need someone to date, and then you’ll be perfectly fine with watching the greatest Christmas movie ever made?”
You tossed him a tired look. “Yeah, sure.”
“What about Brendon?” he suggested, reclining into the plush material of the furniture. “Don’t think I don’t notice the way you check him out. You’re totally into him.”
Despite feeling extremely embarrassed by your friend’s words, you knew that you couldn’t deny them, so you clicked your tongue and struck him against the arm again.
“Shut up. Yes, alright, he’s incredibly hot and I sometimes daydream about those puffy lips buuuuut,” you took a break from your ramble to breath deeply and arch your brows before dropping your shoulders and sighing sadly, “there’s no chance that he feels the same, so there’s no point in any of it.”
“You don’t know that,” Josh scoffed, looking you up and down, “He could be on his way down here to confess his love to you right now, for all we know.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at that. “Yeah,” you snorted, shuffling on the sofa so that you could snuggle into Josh’s side, “And in which fanfiction is that, exactly?”
~
Brendon was on his way down to your house right now to confess his love to you.
Okay, not exactly.
The whole ‘confessing his love’ part wouldn’t be happening (not today, at least), but he was on his way to you, along with take-out from your favourite restaurant, a bottle of your alcohol of choice, and some dessert from the best bakery in the city.
A little while ago when your friend group had been discussing their plans for Christmas Eve, you mentioned that you would be spending it alone, and his heart broke a little.
He didn’t want you to be alone, especially not during the festive season, so he made the decision that after he spent some time with his family, he’d be showing up at your door to keep you company.
What he hadn’t anticipated was the fact that you would already have company.
Brendon parked his car next to the sidewalk and gathered all of the goods he’d brought before starting up the pathway to your door. He couldn’t stop the enormous smile on his face, or the uprising of butterflies in his stomach that accompanied the thought of seeing you; it happened every time.
He reached out, about to press the bell, when he happened to glance through the window and catch sight of something that made his smile disappear instantaneously and that killed every last one of the butterflies.
With a harsh swallow, he turned and started making his way back to his car.
~
With narrow eyes, Josh manoeuvred his head to try and better see through the window from the awful vantage point that was your sofa.
“(Y/N), hey, I think I saw Brendon outside,” he nudged you with his elbow, still looking through the glass.
“Ha ha,” you droned, “very funny.”
“I’m serious!”
With a slight frown, you looked at Josh – who was in fact serious – before sighing and getting up to check. You opened the front door and stepped outside just in time; Brendon had opened the door to his car and was about to climb in.
“Brendon, wait!” you called out to him, quickly stepping off the porch and onto the pathway.
At the sound of your voice, his head snapped up; the butterflies returned the moment he laid eyes on you. Slowly, he shut the door and shuffled forward to meet you halfway up the path.
“Hi,” you greeted breathlessly, smiling up at him.
“Hi,” he couldn’t help but smile back.
“What are you doing here? I mean, don’t get me wrong – I’m… always happy to see you but… shouldn’t you be with your family right now?” you quizzed, a bit confused with his presence.
“Yeah, I, uh,” he cleared his throat and creased his brow, “I left early ‘cause I knew you’d be alone and well… I didn’t want you to be.”
You felt your heart grow two sizes. “Oh, Bren, that’s so sweet,” you gushed, smiling again.
“But I see you’re already on a date, so I’ll leave,” he nodded marginally and took a few steps backwards; you reached out to grab him, shaking your head.
“A date? No. God, no. Josh and I are best friends, nothing more. I asked him over because I was bored. But if I knew you’d be here, I woulda kicked him to the curb a long time ago,” you chuckled, and Brendon sighed in relief.
“So, that means that you’re available?” he grinned, tilting his head down and looking at you through his lashes.
You grinned back. “One hundred percent.”
“Wonderful. I’ll get the food.” He jutted a thumb over his shoulder, at the car.
You nodded and waited for him to collect the eats. You felt your phone buzz in your pocket and you reached for it, seeing that there was a text from Josh with a picture attached.
He had lit the candles that you only kept around for display purposes and had turned down the lights, ensuring that the living room was basking in a romantic glow. You noticed that the sofa had also been pulled out to its sleeper-couch form, and the blankets and pillows had been propped up in a way that made it perfect for cuddling. And as an added bonus, the little jackass had even set up Love Actually on the TV.
You shook your head in disbelief and smiled to yourself as you read the message.
Huh, would ya look at that? Who woulda guessed that I’m a psychic? ;)
Merry Christmas, (Y/N). Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. x

-
It was one of those stupid parties that everyone goes to in college. It wasn’t a frat party, it was at this super rich expensive house that belonged to someone that i had no clue who they were or why they had an entire house full of college students doing illegal things. But for some reason I got dragged into it, in the group of friends that my boyfriend Brendon was in.
And to make it all worse, I’d had a few too many shots, was a little horny and Brendon seemed less than interested as I hung over his arm, lips against his warm neck. A red solo cup about half full of warm beer was in his hand that wasn’t wrapped around my waist lazily holding his phone and scrolling through it, and he was leaning up against the cement wall that was blocking us from falling down a short hill and into a flower garden below. No one else was around; mostly inside the large house or messing around in the pool and hot tub in the backyard.
“Brendon, pay attention to me,” I practically whined, biting down on his neck and trailing my hands that were resting against his chest down over his stomach and landing right around his hips. He continued to scroll through his Instagram, flicking by the photos and not bothering to look at them longer than a few seconds. The alcohol was really doing a number on my judgment and I found myself slipping my hand into his pants and below his boxer briefs, intention to start touching him if he hadn’t pulled away.
“Y/N come on, behave,” he huffed, annoyed at my childish behavior. I rolled my eyes and pulled out of his arm, storming off and into the house. I was a little bit of a brat when I was a little tipsy and if I didn’t get what I wanted I was going to pout about it.
And that’s what I had planned on doing as I walked up the stairs and into the house, moving through the groups of people standing around mostly talking, dancing or playing drinking games. A few couples were making out in the corners of the rooms or on the couches. I didn’t recognize a single face. I headed to the kitchen to get myself another drink but stopped when I saw the familiar face I was hoping I wouldn’t have to deal with tonight.
I rolled my eyes and was about to turn around and walk away but I felt a hand wrap around my wrist and tug me back towards the kitchen. “Oh no, Y/N, don’t walk away now. Let me get you a drink.”
“What the fuck do you want, Courtney?” I snapped, yanking my hand from hers. She smirked at me as I crossed my arms across my chest and she took a sip of her drink.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to fuck Brendon. He’s not my type,” she scoffed. I rolled my eyes.
“It doesn’t matter, you don’t have a type,” I replied. “You’ll fuck anything that walks.”
She narrowed her eyes at me. Courtney was my ex best friend from freshman year of college. Basically, this guy Ryan was in a couple classes with both of us and we both happened to have a crush on him. Well, I ended up with him, unaware that Courtney liked him too, and she kept it from me for an entire year. Then, once we’d been together long enough for me to fall in love, she fucked him.
Obviously Ryan and I broke up. And him and Courtney didn’t last together either. The joke was on her though, because I ended up with Brendon, who was easily one of the most attractive guys any girl could lay eyes on, and he treated me like a queen. When I wasn’t all over him at parties, anyway.
“Don’t act like you’re not a backstabbing skank,” she spit.
“I’m backstabbing?” I raised my eyebrows. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’m the one who fucked my best friend’s boyfriend.”
Then, she did the last thing I expected her to do. She shoved me, spilling the drink in her hand all over my shirt. My jaw dropped, and I shoved her back, much harder than she did to me, causing her to stumble back against a ping pong table being used to play beer pong and getting completely drenched in the beer that was in all of the cups. Enraged, she stood up and went after me, getting a single smack across my face before someone was grabbing her and pulling her off of me. I felt a hand wrap around my arm, pulling me away roughly and out the door of the house. Before long I realized it was Brendon pulling me along, taking me out the door to his car.
“What the hell? Let go of me, Brendon!” I yanked my arm away from him and he turned to me, anger apparent on his face.
“What the fuck were you thinking, Y/N?! Do you want to get expelled?” He snapped.
“You are not seriously blaming this on me.” I scoffed, folding my arms across my chest.
“I’m taking you home, you’ve had too much to drink and you’re being reckless,” he said, grabbing my arm again and walking me down the street to his car.
“I can walk myself.” I snapped, yanking my arm from his grip again and walking behind him down the sidewalk, finally reaching his car and getting in the passenger seat. He drove in absolute silence to our shared apartment, walking up the stairs to our floor and unlocking it. I stepped in after him and he stalked off to the bedroom, and I rolled my eyes, kicking off my shoes and going into the bathroom.
At this point I wasn’t even tipsy anymore. The argument I had with Courtney sobered me up quite a bit. I stood in the bathroom and washed my face, brushing my teeth and getting ready to go to bed. I was just irritated, my night was ruined and Brendon was pissing me off by how bossy he was being. I entered our bedroom to see Brendon was sitting on the edge of the bed, arms crossed and waiting for me expectantly.
“What?” I snapped.
”What was all of that about? With Courtney?” He asked.
“None of your fucking business.” I walked to the dresser and pulled out a night shirt to sleep in. The drawer was closed suddenly and Brendon was backing me against the wall beside it, placing his arms on either side of my head, a dark look in his eyes.
“I’d suggest you lose the attitude with me, princess,” he said quietly, his voice low and gravelly, hot breath fanning over my face. Suddenly I felt small and not quite so high and mighty compared to him.
“Now are you going to tell me why I walked in to see you shoving her over a beer pong table?” He asked, raising his eyebrow at me.
“She shoved me and spilled her drink on me so I shoved her back,” I defended.
He shook his head, clucking his tongue and retracting his arms from where they were next to my head. “You’re a naughty girl.”
His words send a hot rush over me and I found myself unable to reply to what he was saying. He leaned in closer and ghosted his fingers over my chest, my breath hitching at his touch. “Did you act out because I wasn’t giving you attention? Is this what happens when daddy ignores you?”
I swallowed hard and nodded slightly, his lips now brushing over mine. “Please kiss me,” I whispered, and he smirked before pulling away completely and sitting back on the bed.
“Not until you take off that shirt and pants. I want to see the pretty underwear you wore for me tonight.”
I quickly pulled my shirt over my head, tossing it aside and unbuttoned my jeans, pulling them swiftly down my legs and stepping out of them, revealing the mismatched white bra and soft pink panties I’d worn that day. He smirked, reaching out to take my hip and pull me closer to where he sat at the edge of the bed and trailed his fingertips down my hipbone and over the soft skin on my inner thigh, sending a shiver through me and leaving goosebumps wherever his skin touched mine.
“Didn’t even bother matching? What a shame.” He leaned in and kissed just above my hip, then grabbed my hips and pulled me over his lap, taking my waist in his warm hands and bringing my lips down to meet his.
He kissed me passionately for a minute, our tongues brushing and my fingers tangling through his hair, his fingers digging into my sides and pulling my hips down against his in a rhythm. Soft whimpers fell from my lips as I felt myself growing more needy for his touch and his hardening erection underneath me every time our hips made contact.
“Do you want daddy to touch you?” He asked softly, pulling away enough to look into my eyes.
“Yes, please,” I nodded quickly, and he flipped me over onto my back on the bed, slowly pulling my panties down my legs and throwing them on the ground.
“I like it much better when you’re begging me to touch you than when you’re mouthing off to me,” he said, rubbing my thighs with his hands gently as he lowered his face between them. I held my breath in anticipation as he inched closer, biting down on my inner thigh and sucking harshly, leaving a mark where his lips were previously.
“Please Brendon,” i whimpered, and regretted it instantly as he pulled back and removed his hands from me.
“Who?” He watched me through our dimly lit room with dark eyes, and I knew I wouldn’t get what I wanted if I didn’t give him the answer he wanted.
“Daddy,” I corrected. “Please daddy, touch me.”
“That’s better.” He smirked, going back down between my legs and kissing both of my thighs before he finally licked up my aching core all the way to my clit, letting his tongue linger over it for a moment before he went right into eating me out, wrapping his arms around my thighs. I threaded my fingers through his hair, tugging slightly as his tongue stayed relentless against my clit. He reached up and slid one finger inside of me, then easily added another and pumped them in and out slowly, driving me nuts. I let out a quiet moan as I tugged on his hair again, a soft moan sounding from his chest as he didn’t lose focus but let me know that he loved doing this as much as I did.
I felt that all too familiar heat gathering in my lower stomach, signaling that my orgasm was approaching. My breathing had picked up rapidly and my legs were beginning to tremble, and then Brendon suddenly pulled away, leaving me panting and whining, attempting to pull him back down to me but he was already licking my arousal off his fingers and pulling his shirt over his head. I reached behind my back to unhook my bra and toss it aside, reaching for Brendon to pull him down towards me, craving his skin against mine.
“Do you want daddy to fuck you?” He asked softly, pulling his jeans and boxer briefs down his legs, his erection coming free and his hand reached down to stroke himself a few times.
“Yes, please daddy,” I nodded, earning a smirk as he climbed over, taking my hips in his hands and flipping us over so I was on top.
“Why don’t you ride me for a little bit?” He said, leaning back and folding his hands behind his head to watch me. I placed my hands against his chest to steady myself, lined myself up with him and slowly lowered onto his length, letting out a soft breath and the friction that created a small amount of relief. I moved slowly over him, rolling my hips against his and causing small moans to fall from both of our mouths.
He took my hips in his hands to guide my movements slightly faster, but I attempted to resist and keep the slow, teasing pace that I was at.
“You want to be a little tease, huh?” He chuckled, his grip on my hips tightening. Suddenly, he flipped us over so I was laying back against the bed and he was hovering over me, pushing himself into me again. My head fell back against the pillows as he pinned my hips against the bed using his own, pounding into me suddenly and holding me steady by my waist in his hands. I let out a moan, arching my back as he hit a sweet spot inside of me.
“You’re just being naughty all over tonight aren’t you?” He said, panting slightly, the sweat forming on his forehead making his hair slightly damp. I reached behind his back and dug my fingers into it, raking down the skin on his back as he continued to pleasure me, roughly throwing his hips against mine with every thrust. His hand on my waist slowly trailed up my chest, between my breasts and around my neck.
“Do you like when daddy chokes you? Reminds you who you belong to?” He said in that low gravelly voice that made my insides turn to jelly. I nodded as best as I could, moaning as he tightened his grip around my neck, making my head spin as I felt that knot forming in my lower stomach again.
My thighs tightened around his hips and he panted, “are you gonna come, princess?” I whimpered as I felt my body wind up even tighter, my toes curling against the sheets, my back arching off of the bed again and my walls clenching around Brendon. Almost as quickly as it came about, I fell apart underneath him, my head falling back against the pillows and a loud moan followed by some swear words spilled from my mouth, Brendon reaching his own orgasm as I did. His hand on my hip dug into it tightly, his head falling in the crook of my neck as he emptied his load inside of me, thrusting a few more times to ride out our highs and his body relaxing against mine, our sweat clinging us together. My heart rate retuned to normal and he rolled off of me, pulling me into his chest and allowing me to cuddle into the crook of his neck.
“Just so you know, Courtney was being a bitch and pushed me in the first place,” I said, trailing my fingers up and down his chest softly as he wrapped his fingers between mine.
“I don’t want to talk about her,” he said, a soft smile on his face.
I smiled back a little. “She’s a cunt.”
“Yeah she is.”

The Roommate Agreement- Original novel Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off
I completely and utterly hate life.
I’m sorry maybe I should start from the beginning. My name is Benjamin Rigel, I recently graduated from Melbourne Central high school and turn nineteen in a few days. Okay where was I? Oh, right, well I hate my life.
I know, it’s the most generic, basic thing a teenager (a legal adult in the eyes of the law mind you) to say in existence, but it is true. I thought I had it all. I run a hand through my hair in frustration, before pulling on my beloved grey beanie. See, my “girlfriend” is cheating on me. I use the term “girlfriend” very loosely.
I use it loosely because she hasn’t really been my girlfriend for months, not that I actually care anymore. I swear she brings home someone new every night, girl or guy it doesn’t matter. I can hear sounds coming out of the bedroom, our bedroom, where we sleep- as a couple. Bangs on the wall and screams of ecstasy that belong to my girlfriend and her partner, who obviously isn’t me. I scoff at the thought.
‘Of course it isn’t me, I’m just a boy to her, nothing more.’ It’s true of course, I’ve never been anything to her, and all I have and still currently been feeling for the past few months is bitter, sad, disappointment. All I can do is listen on, sad that I’m not the one sharing the bed, that I had genuinely thought that she was into me romantically, someone who cared for me.  Not everyone can have what they want. It doesn’t help that I had a reputation in school.
I fiddle with my beanie in guilt of the past, but it helps because it muffles her screaming her partners name out, which as stated before, is not mine. I put my headphones in, hoping to drown out the sounds from down the hall, pressing shuffle.
‘Is it still me that makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress?
Well, then think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it
When the lights are dim and your heart is racing as your fingers touch your skin’
I walk over to the closet, which has a duffel bag filled with my stuff. Ironically I was going to live with her, believing that everything would okay, that she would love me the way I once loved her.
‘I've got more wit
A better kiss
A hotter touch a better fuck
Than any boy you'll ever meet’
Collecting my stuff, I decide to head home. To my mums apartment, in some classy neighborhood South-East of the city. Surely she would understand. She would hug me, say that everything would be all right and she would comfort me. But I can imagine the sad look on her face as I tell her that I want to finally leave this thing I call a relationship. She would look at me with a face that says ‘I told you so’, and not in a teasing way.
‘Sweetie you had me
Girl, I was it, look past the sweat
A better love deserving of
Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat
No, no, no, you know it will always just be me’
I gather what I can of my things, knowing I’ll have to make a round trip- and officially break things off. I let out another sigh, rubbing my eyes under my glasses from stress and fatigue, tired and sore eyes from the bright light of the TV playing in the living room.
‘Let's get these teen hearts beating
Faster, faster
So testosterone boys and harlequin girls
Will you dance to this beat
And hold a lover clo-’
I pause the music, changing it to the next song in hopes it won’t be related to my current relationship status, and head out the door, pulling up messages and type.
Benny Boi- 01:06: I’ll be back sometime this week, don’t wait for me.
I pull on my MCHS jumper, slinging my duffel bag over my shoulder and walk out of the apartment, down the stairs and into the bustling life of the Melbourne CBD. As I step onto Flinders Lane I can hear her phone ping through the window, signaling that my message got to her, not that she would notice it over getting laid like there’s no tomorrow.
As per usual she doesn’t notice a thing.
I turn and leave, walking up Russell street before turning onto Collins and jumping on the tram, heading to a quaint little bar on Meyers plane, off Little Collins street called ‘The Space Project’. I am a regular every second Wednesday with my friends from school, but I never come on a Sunday night- or Monday morning in my case, but tonight I need a drink and there is nowhere else I would go to get one. Think of it as liquid courage before I go see my mum.
The glass door decorated with lights and a sign flashing brightly as if it was screaming ‘open!’ comes into view, and I walk faster, eager to get this night over with, knowing what my mum will think when I show up at her door at three or four in the morning. I push open the door, which always gets me by surprise with its weight, a faint bell rings as the door closes and I walk over to the bar, pulling out the wooden bar stool with a carving of some constellation- the word ‘cancer’ carved on the leg of the stool.  I wave my hand to signal the bartender and I focus of the small lights on the roof, not noticing the bartender arrive in front of me. I hear a cough and I shake my head out of my stupor, focusing on the guy in front of me. Except it isn’t a guy.
A beautiful girl with her blonde hair in a half ponytail updo down to her shoulders, freckles dusting her cheeks like stars and big, brown, doe eyes inspects me, as if she judging my character and deciding whether to serve me alcohol or not at the same time, though she would have a hard time doing so because she was only about twenty centimetres taller than the bar itself, so about 5”4.
“You look like you’ve either had a real shitty night, or you’re plain drunk.” She states.
“Well you’re right about the first point,” I hold my hand out to her. “I’m Benjamin” She eyes me for a moment, her eyes widening slightly at the sight of my school jumper. The girl wearily take my hand and shakes it.
“I know who you are, we graduated in the same year, I’m Persephone. So I’m guessing you finally had enough of Anne-Lucine? She’s a real bitch you know, like the female version of Draco Malfoy-only worse.” I was about to defend Annie, but I have no reason to. I sigh at her, and Persephone looks at me with sympathy, knowing that her guess was correct. I give her a look, deciding whether or not to trust her, but if she can call Annie of all people a bitch, surely I can.
“She’s been cheating on me for months, I did confront her at one point about it but she didn’t stop, and I have decided that I need to let go of her.” Persephone smiles at me.
“Well good for you, at least you realised that it was toxic.” She disappears for a second before returning with two shots of tequila. I eye her and she chuckles lightly.
“On the house, but this is the only drink I’m having, because there is no way in hell a bartender can be drunk on the job.” I laugh before replying.
“Someone has to stay sober here.” Persephone lets out a sweet, genuine laugh. “So how did you end up working as a bartender?” I ask her.
“My aunt actually owns this place, so I’ve always grown up around watching people mix cocktails and drink to their heart's content.” Persephone has a starry look in her eyes, and I can see that she really enjoys her job.
“What about you, do you work?” I grin at the thought.
“I work at a vintage store.” Her eyes light up.
“The one on Little Bourke st?”
“That’s the one.” Persephone looks ecstatic.
“I love that store!” I can’t help smile at her enthusiasm, really happy that someone I now know is interested in what I do.  I feel my phone buzz in my pocket, and I pull it out to see.
 Annie-Lu - 01:47:  Where r u?
I let out a sigh and slip my phone back into my pocket,  not wanting to deal with Annie’s bullshit right now. I guess she’s finished with the other guy and wants to see me. Persephone gives me a look and I know I made the right decision to leave. I turn my attention back to the girl in front of me.
“So if we graduated in the same year, how come I never saw you?”
“Do you know Apollina, Eden and Brendon?”
“Sun goddess, garden of god and Brendon Urie? Yeah I know them, but I can’t quite put a face to those names.” I see Persephone smile at the nicknames.
“I was with them on the roof most of the time.” I think of MCHS, the multi level building in the heart of the city, and the garden roof on the top and let out a sound of recognition, nodding in understanding.
“I can see why, I used to go up there to study after school.” We chatter for a bit longer, talking about school as if we had never left, life and other shit, you know, sappy and sentimental crap. I look at the clock to see how much time has past (of course why else would anyone look at a clock, come on).
02:11, crap. I have no idea how I could’ve let time slip away from me so quickly, but I can feel the realisation of what I have just done sink in, and I realise that I have to go, because mum will definitely kill me if I show up later than three. I look back to Persephone, who has left momentarily to serve a customer- some woman with stretchers in her ears big enough to fit a hand through. The woman is given a glass of something and Persephone jumps back over to me.
“Look, I have to go, it’s late, but I will try to arrive here on early Monday mornings.” Persephone looks saddened by my statement, but pulls out a pen from under the counter, grabbing my hand in her firm but gentle grasp, writing something onto my hand (it’s her number, oh my god her number!) before letting go.
“Just in case you ever need someone to talk to who isn’t a bitch, and because I want to be your friend since I never got the chance before.” I smile gratefully as I stand, and she returns it, her brown eyes gleaming with a happiness I cannot describe.
“Thank you, Persephone, it was really nice to finally get all of that off my chest.”
“No problem. Talk to you soon, I hope.” and she leaves to serve another customer, giving me the cue to leave, pushing the heavy door open once more I set out towards Parliament station.
I pull on my beanie over my headphones to keep my ears warm from the cool of the night and the cold chill of the station. I pace down the stairs and tap my myki, walking down the escalators before reaching the furthest platform. I close my eyes, realising how tired I actually am, before feeling the cold wind blow into the platform as the train arrives.
As I travel South-East on the train, I can’t help but think over tonight. My decision to leave Anne-Lucine is a big one, as I’ve been with her since halfway through year ten, to end a three year relationship like that- a toxic one, well, things are going to change. And the look of disappointment on my mums face, that will just be the icing on the cake.
I should explain who exactly my mum is, aside from being my mum of course. My mum, Yadira Rigel, is half Arabic and half Australian, and the nicest woman on this planet, which is a shame because those who are the kindest always have it the worst. My father- a Spanish man who immigrated to Australia, dumped and left her after a few years into their relationship, without ever knowing I existed in her stomach at the time. My mum refuses to let me meet him.
On another note, she is my best friend, my confidant and I tell her absolutely everything, including my school and relationship life, and when I first told her about my relationship with Annie, she shook her head, clearly upset with my choice of person-as if she sensed bad vibes off Anne-Lucine.
‘Now arriving at: Hartwell’
I stand up a bit too quickly, making my head and vision spin out of control, a headache forming from the fatigue of staying up all night. I step off the train and into the dark night-well, morning, walking up the path through the park and into the apartment building.
I press the button to the lift impatiently, tapping my foot in urgence- nervous at my mum’s reaction to my news, and elation at the fact that I am visiting my mum for the first time in a long while. Finally, the lift arrives and I step into it, pressing the button for level five and wait yet again, leaning against the cool mirror of the lift.
A ding signals my arrival and I step out, turning the corner. The golden letters of apartment 506 gleam on the door, the metal tastefully adding a pop of color to the grey-themed building, beckoning me to knock. I can hear the TV playing behind the door, meaning that mum is either awake watching something akin to Star Trek: Discovery or passed out on the couch (It’s probably the latter).
I hesitate to knock the door. What is she going to think? Me showing up at her door at nearly three in the morning, in my highschool jumper and trackies, she’ll have no words. But this is my mama, I’m sure that she’ll understand. At last I gain the courage to knock on my mum’s door, just three knocks.
“Min Allaena!” I hear her shout in Arabic, clearly pissed. Whoops. The door swings open and I face my mum with a warm smile and a guilty look on my face. She just smiles at me.
“Hi mama.”

New Reputation: Taylor Swift shares intel on TS7, fan theories, and her next era
Snakes begone. The 29-year-old superstar is back with a new album and a new outlook on life. We go inside the pop monarch's latest chapter.
By Alex Suskind May 09, 2019
THE PALM TREES ARRIVED IN FEBRUARY, seven in all, set against a pastel blue backdrop with superimposed stars.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
